[00:00:02] Pain. Pain is the great equalizer, the secret to life. From the time I was a boy, I learned to always inflict pain faster than my opponent, to never let pain guide my decisions, and always harness the pain from my own strength. The Great Quake brought misery and death to a callous number of people, but it made me a god, ruler of my domain, the greatest bounty hunter to ever live.

[00:00:33] No one, no one dares run from T.J. Swenson, except one. They call her the Lone Survivor, the Savior of the Refugees, but she is my greatest bounty ever. This is Life on the Changing Earth.

[00:01:00] Knock, knock. Can I come in?

[00:01:02] I'm sorry, Tim. I just need a minute.

[00:01:06] It's been a while since you called me that.

[00:01:08] Oh, yeah. Sorry about that.

[00:01:10] It's okay to mourn her, Cole.

[00:01:12] We wasted so many years on this political bullshit, and in the end, none of it mattered. The war still came, and now she's gone.

[00:01:20] She died the way she lived. Fighting for her cause.

[00:01:24] It doesn't make it hurt any less.

[00:01:26] At least you know. My wife and child were murdered in cold blood. For all I know, that asshole could have been here.

[00:01:33] If it was the black shirts that infiltrated us, you're probably right.

[00:01:36] Still no communications?

[00:01:38] We're in total blackout. Bennett said he would check with the general and give us an update when they came back.

[00:01:43] They're going after her?

[00:01:44] Bennett's hoping the general will send forces with him.

[00:01:46] You think they can catch up in time?

[00:01:48] I don't know. Without communications, we can't learn any of our forces in the south, and we can't get news from them either.

[00:01:54] If this ash doesn't stop falling, we're going to have to abandon the city anyway.

[00:01:59] I know. Take two steps forward and three steps back.

[00:02:03] No wonder the feds abandoned it. They knew the ash was coming. They got Erica. Why stay and fight?

[00:02:10] What do we got to do?

[00:02:12] Wait for orders and follow them.

[00:02:14] Why?

[00:02:15] Because it's all we know.

[00:02:17] I could have left. I could have left and joined the militia and been with her.

[00:02:22] I never had to stay and fight. I backed myself into a corner.

[00:02:26] You cared. You cared about all the people in the west. You kept them free.

[00:02:32] Whole families allowed to live for another decade in freedom because of you.

[00:02:36] Don't discredit that.

[00:02:38] The outcome was the same.

[00:02:39] But we didn't know that.

[00:02:41] You could have been selfish and left them all to the mercy of someone who would have rounded them up and caged them.

[00:02:47] Someone who would have crushed the native lands and destroyed everything we believed in.

[00:02:51] But you didn't.

[00:02:54] I lost it all, Cole.

[00:02:56] But here I am standing at your side because I believe in you.

[00:03:00] Not the command structure. You.

[00:03:02] You.

[00:03:04] Can't get her back.

[00:03:06] But you do get the choice on how you move forward from here.

[00:04:16] Justin.

[00:04:17] Put that box up front.

[00:04:20] As soon as we get out of this place, I want a drink.

[00:04:24] The sooner the better.

[00:04:25] Huh.

[00:04:26] I couldn't agree more.

[00:04:29] You boys have been worth your waiting credits.

[00:04:33] We do a couple more loads like this and I'll have enough credits to get you landowners and passers.

[00:04:40] What do you think about that?

[00:04:42] You can do that?

[00:04:44] Well, how do you think I got mine?

[00:04:46] You're not a landowner.

[00:04:48] I was at one time.

[00:04:50] What happened?

[00:04:51] I had a home.

[00:04:52] A wife.

[00:04:54] A daughter.

[00:04:54] A daughter.

[00:04:55] Then the quake happened.

[00:04:58] My wife died.

[00:04:59] I'm sorry to hear that.

[00:05:01] My mom died in the quake too.

[00:05:03] My home was located in a subdivision where T.J. Swenson set up his shop.

[00:05:10] Really?

[00:05:11] But one night my daughter, she got angry with me.

[00:05:15] She ran out the house.

[00:05:17] I chased after her but T.J. found her first.

[00:05:22] He took her and arrested me.

[00:05:25] Why?

[00:05:26] Well, he was drunk.

[00:05:28] I lived my life in a cell and I labored away in a power stitch.

[00:05:34] How did you get out?

[00:05:35] Well, T.J. likes to drink.

[00:05:37] One night, he beat the hell out of me.

[00:05:40] Then he decided to leave me for dead.

[00:05:43] In the Badlands.

[00:05:45] Little did he know, the smell of freedom was so rejuvenating.

[00:05:51] I survived and now, here I am.

[00:05:54] Thrive.

[00:05:55] A second chance at life?

[00:05:57] I guess you could say that.

[00:06:00] Let's get out of here and back to freedom.

[00:06:04] Sit in the front.

[00:06:05] Why?

[00:06:06] Just do it.

[00:06:12] Sure was a stroke of luck, Chip.

[00:06:15] Oh, shit, Johnny.

[00:06:22] Get him in the back, Dex.

[00:06:43] Everything okay, fellas?

[00:06:45] Just fine, sir.

[00:06:47] Let me see your papers.

[00:06:48] Here you go, sir.

[00:06:50] For a couple of young fellas, you guys look like you did pretty well today.

[00:06:55] Sure did.

[00:06:57] All your passes look good.

[00:07:00] Have a nice day, fellas.

[00:07:02] You too, sir.

[00:07:12] Yep, looks like we're good to go.

[00:07:14] Looks like it.

[00:07:15] You think his story was true?

[00:07:17] Bits and pieces.

[00:07:18] Everyone loves to play the victim, especially when it suits them.

[00:08:43] At least the ash stopped falling.

[00:08:45] If I had to wear that mask for one more second...

[00:08:47] You should still keep your face covered, hon.

[00:08:50] The sun is so...

[00:08:52] Gloomy.

[00:08:53] Yeah, that's a good word for it.

[00:08:55] Gloomy.

[00:09:01] Still not working?

[00:09:02] No, it's still dead.

[00:09:04] How can that be, Vince?

[00:09:05] Can't get mine to work either.

[00:09:07] When they cut California off after the great quake,

[00:09:10] same thing happened.

[00:09:13] They didn't want anyone to be able to communicate with the outside world.

[00:09:17] Hey guys, we have a large group of people approaching.

[00:09:22] They're evacuating.

[00:09:24] Excuse me, sir?

[00:09:26] Do you know what happened at the homesteads?

[00:09:28] Well, 30 or so of those feds portrayed themselves as new recruits within the camp.

[00:09:35] And then they attacked.

[00:09:37] Then the bombs fell.

[00:09:39] It was chaos.

[00:09:40] Did anyone survive?

[00:09:42] They took some serious damage.

[00:09:45] But they have tough fighters within their ranks.

[00:09:48] Did you see a boy?

[00:09:49] About 11 years old.

[00:09:51] I didn't see anyone.

[00:09:53] I was on the north road.

[00:09:56] I'm just telling you what I heard.

[00:09:58] Did you hear what happened up north?

[00:10:00] Oh, a lot of death.

[00:10:02] I'm going south.

[00:10:04] Maybe all the way to South America.

[00:10:07] If it's still there.

[00:10:09] Good luck, buddy.

[00:10:11] Hey, good luck to you guys, too.

[00:10:19] What if they're evacuating two, Dad?

[00:10:21] I don't know, Star.

[00:10:23] I don't think they would.

[00:10:25] The plan was to meet back there.

[00:10:27] And that's what we should stick to.

[00:10:30] If Grandma Nancy is still alive, I think that's what she would do.

[00:11:13] We survived, right?

[00:11:15] Yeah.

[00:11:16] Then God has a reason for that.

[00:11:18] And right now, I think it's fighting Daniel and getting Mom.

[00:11:21] Couldn't agree more.

[00:11:23] This is Jane Austen, otherwise known as Survivor Jane,

[00:11:53] and the voice of Dolores Chapman.

[00:11:55] I'd like to invite you to my website, SurvivorJane.com,

[00:11:59] where I write in a conversational tone on topics of how better to prepare yourself and family.

[00:12:05] You can also find links to my books,

[00:12:08] What Could Possibly Go Wrong?,

[00:12:09] Emergency Survival Hygiene,

[00:12:12] and my game book, Puzzling Over Preparedness.

[00:12:14] You can also find information on Prepper Camp,

[00:12:17] the largest three-day preparedness event in the country every fall,

[00:12:21] hosted by myself and my husband, Rick Austin.

[00:12:24] I don't want to get her anymore.

[00:12:57] You're walking.

[00:12:58] I'll get her off.

[00:13:01] I said wake up.

[00:13:07] And see, there you go, fellas.

[00:13:11] What?

[00:13:13] You want to discuss it with Sheila?

[00:13:16] TJ, that's enough.

[00:13:18] Let's just take a break.

[00:13:20] This place looks like it wasn't much more than a hardware store and a gas station,

[00:13:25] even before the quake.

[00:13:27] It's a perfect little crap hole to hide a refugee in.

[00:13:30] Serge, you want to make some grub?

[00:13:32] I'm not cooking.

[00:13:35] Let's let the girlies do it.

[00:13:37] I can eat her half the day anyway.

[00:13:39] I can.

[00:13:40] That's not a bad idea.

[00:13:42] That's a horrible idea.

[00:13:44] I know how rats like this girlie work, Carl.

[00:13:48] They'll keep gnawing and gnawing.

[00:13:50] Chain her to a tree.

[00:13:51] She'll be good for nothing except headaches.

[00:13:54] Do as he says, and then make some food surge.

[00:13:58] Make Mercury do it.

[00:14:04] There you go.

[00:14:06] Little pet furry dog.

[00:14:10] Bishop, you're on weapons detail.

[00:14:13] Yes, sir.

[00:14:13] Are you playing that game again?

[00:14:24] Solidare, that's the time.

[00:14:27] Do you ever win?

[00:14:28] No.

[00:14:29] But I keep playing anyway.

[00:14:31] Why don't you get TJ to play with you?

[00:14:34] TJ does not play games very often.

[00:14:37] He is a focused man.

[00:14:40] He'll walk the perimeter like a guard dog.

[00:14:44] And make certain his mission gets accomplished.

[00:14:48] Yeah, he doesn't really strike me as the type that relaxes.

[00:14:51] Oh, he does plenty of relaxing.

[00:14:55] But not on the road.

[00:14:57] And never with a bounty in hand.

[00:15:01] She's watching him.

[00:15:03] Watch her.

[00:15:04] I have a feeling that girlie is more clever than we think.

[00:15:08] It's not in her nature to be quiet.

[00:15:11] But she is definitely quiet.

[00:15:14] Do not worry, though.

[00:15:16] TJ breaks them all.

[00:15:21] Quit looking at me like that.

[00:15:23] Answer me when I talk to you.

[00:15:26] Answer me.

[00:15:27] TJ, pure and unbroken.

[00:15:30] Those were his words.

[00:15:32] You will regret each moment of your defiance.

[00:15:40] Waste of words.

[00:15:42] Waste of breath.

[00:15:45] Because I've got nothing to say.

[00:15:48] Thoughts they burn inside my chest.

[00:15:52] Can take it one more day.

[00:15:55] No matter how much pain.

[00:16:08] I will leave a trail.

[00:16:14] Somehow.

[00:16:54] Come on, Dan.

[00:16:54] We're almost there.

[00:17:00] Black snow and a sea of smoke.

[00:17:02] Who could have guessed that it would have come to this?

[00:17:06] Seriously.

[00:17:07] Come on, guys.

[00:17:09] Oh my gosh.

[00:17:24] Dad, have you ever seen anything like this?

[00:17:27] Only once after the great quake.

[00:17:30] I was hoping I would never see it again.

[00:17:40] Sergeant Walker.

[00:17:42] Sir, Staff Sergeant Gleason.

[00:17:44] Bid stop.

[00:17:45] How are we holding up?

[00:17:46] Hi, Terrence.

[00:17:48] Where's Erica?

[00:17:49] Between us.

[00:17:50] Taken by the feds.

[00:17:52] What?

[00:17:53] Are you serious?

[00:17:54] Would we be here without her?

[00:17:56] Must have been some plan to take down Erica Moore.

[00:17:59] It shot me in the head and the chest.

[00:18:02] Damn, boy.

[00:18:03] I hope you got on your knees and gave thanks to the good lord above.

[00:18:07] Typically, you don't just walk away from that.

[00:18:10] You must have a hell of a guardian angel.

[00:18:13] Or not.

[00:18:14] Erica's gone.

[00:18:16] True.

[00:18:17] Are you looking for Lieutenant General Merkel, sir?

[00:18:20] You know that I am.

[00:18:22] They have a command tent set up in front of the old yacht.

[00:18:25] The feds blew the hell out of the base.

[00:18:27] Do you know if Daniel's okay?

[00:18:30] Daniel, Nancy, or I lied.

[00:18:32] Vince, your boys were in hell of a fight with that sword.

[00:18:35] That kid and Tillman, they killed about 15 federal soldiers.

[00:18:39] It was impressive.

[00:18:41] Daniel, Nancy, or Stan or GF.

[00:18:43] Tillman survived.

[00:18:45] He's with Moss.

[00:18:46] But Mr. Rowan, he was killed in a fighter.

[00:18:50] And his home was lost to the bombing.

[00:18:54] Whoa there, buddy.

[00:18:55] You got an extra tent around here, Walker?

[00:18:58] Yeah.

[00:18:59] There's one available over at the camp.

[00:19:01] Get the hell off me.

[00:19:02] I don't need a tent.

[00:19:04] I need to go see my boy and go get my wife.

[00:19:07] Okay, Vince.

[00:19:09] We're just trying to help.

[00:19:11] I know.

[00:19:12] And I appreciate it.

[00:19:13] You two have people you're worried about, too.

[00:19:16] Why don't you go take care of it?

[00:19:17] And we'll meet back up later.

[00:19:19] You sure?

[00:19:20] Go.

[00:19:21] I'll be fine.

[00:19:25] Let's go find him.

[00:19:32] Where will they go?

[00:19:34] To Denver.

[00:19:35] It doesn't look much different from this.

[00:19:37] They'll have to make their own decisions about their futures.

[00:19:41] Oh, no.

[00:19:43] They won't be staying here.

[00:19:46] Master Rowan's home.

[00:19:48] Walker said they were staying with gear.

[00:19:50] This way.

[00:19:54] See, they're back!

[00:20:00] Daniel, thank God.

[00:20:06] Oh, my goodness.

[00:20:08] What happened to you two?

[00:20:11] Where's Erica?

[00:20:12] And where is Cassidy?

[00:20:15] Here.

[00:20:15] No.

[00:20:17] Oh, no.

[00:20:18] She died in battle.

[00:20:19] Oh, hell no.

[00:20:21] She died proudly and with courage.

[00:20:24] And what about Erica, Vince?

[00:20:26] Yeah, Dad.

[00:20:27] Where's Mom?

[00:20:28] What, Vince?

[00:20:31] She was captured by the federal forces.

[00:20:34] It was Merkley's son.

[00:20:36] They shot Dad in the head and the chest.

[00:20:38] Are you okay, Vince?

[00:20:40] I just want to get Erica back.

[00:20:42] I know there's still time.

[00:20:44] But the feds bombed the whole northern route.

[00:20:48] I don't know if my parents survived.

[00:20:51] We didn't know if you guys lived.

[00:20:54] Thank God we found you.

[00:20:56] Thank you, gear.

[00:20:57] It is me who should thank you, brother.

[00:21:02] My son, Ren, was out in the schoolyard when the soldiers came.

[00:21:07] Daniel, he is a natural with a sword.

[00:21:10] Daniel ran to the house to take Ren and Elizabeth.

[00:21:14] When Mr. Rowan's house was bombed.

[00:21:18] He was a fine man.

[00:21:20] How about Ned?

[00:21:21] Ned will be okay.

[00:21:23] He was shot in the leg and couldn't make the trek by foot just yet.

[00:21:27] Did you hear anything about my parents or Greg or Penny?

[00:21:30] No.

[00:21:31] They got hit hard on the pass.

[00:21:33] They've been sending runners back and forth with medical supplies.

[00:21:37] But as you can see, they've been needed badly here as well.

[00:21:41] I did talk with one of the runners, but it's almost impossible to get individual names of survivors.

[00:21:48] Come in and sit down.

[00:21:49] I think I would like that.

[00:21:51] You look like you need much more than just a seat.

[00:21:56] If suffering's a way to earn your keep

[00:21:59] I better stop putting miles on my feet

[00:22:10] But I'm so tired

[00:22:31] What are you going to do, Vince?

[00:22:33] I have to go after Erica.

[00:22:36] I'll talk to Merkley and see how many soldiers he can send with me.

[00:22:40] But I have to go.

[00:22:42] We already spent two days getting here.

[00:22:44] Who knows how far they are now.

[00:22:46] I think we can get a buggy running now.

[00:22:50] Maybe shorten that time a little.

[00:22:53] I've had a truck in the shop waiting for just this sort of opportunity.

[00:22:59] I couldn't ask you for it.

[00:23:01] I would not give it to you.

[00:23:03] I am going with you.

[00:23:05] My sister would want it that way.

[00:23:09] Can't have anyone viewing the merchandise.

[00:23:26] A scratchy burlap mask for the pain in my ass.

[00:23:30] Hey fellas.

[00:23:32] How we doing?

[00:23:33] Just fine.

[00:23:34] How about yourselves?

[00:23:39] See, you got a fine woman chained to that tree over there.

[00:23:43] She's not for sale.

[00:23:44] What about for rent?

[00:23:46] My boys sure wouldn't mind getting a piece of that tonight.

[00:23:51] She's not for rent either.

[00:23:53] Oh, come on.

[00:23:55] Don't tell me you're going to keep some refugee whore all to yourselves.

[00:24:05] I'll take a look at the trail.

[00:24:06] I can make it worth your time.

[00:24:11] This is my chance.

[00:24:13] First step, my hands.

[00:24:16] Tie my shoelaces together through here.

[00:24:20] Pump my legs.

[00:24:25] Boom.

[00:24:29] Now the chain lock.

[00:24:31] A weapon.

[00:25:17] I need a weapon.

[00:25:18] Then, this will have to do.

[00:25:31] The trail.

[00:25:32] You need to leave a trail.

[00:25:34] I'll tie it to the sign.

[00:26:25] Everyone, this is Phil Rabley from the Matter of Facts Podcast, voicing the role of Cole

[00:26:28] Virgis.

[00:26:30] If prepping guns and politics sounds like your cup of tea, come check out the Matter of Facts

[00:26:34] Podcast every Friday on iTunes, Stitcher, and Spotify with my co-host Andrew Bobo.

[00:26:38] Our forces are so scattered, there are no way to expand to anyone to go after her, Bennett.

[00:26:49] Trust me, I'd like to send a group just to collect my traitorous son.

[00:26:55] Sir, we wouldn't take longer than we have to.

[00:26:58] I bet they're not even out of the Western Zone yet.

[00:27:00] I understand that, First Sergeant.

[00:27:03] But with communications down, it could be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

[00:27:08] Now, I need to know that I can count on you to follow your orders, Bennett.

[00:27:12] I'm going to need some strong men like you.

[00:27:16] Yes, sir.

[00:27:17] I understand, sir.

[00:27:18] Erica was just a figurehead.

[00:27:20] The legend will fade with her.

[00:27:22] We can still do this.

[00:27:23] We've won the battle in Denver, and now it's on to the north.

[00:27:27] Yes, sir.

[00:27:28] Thank you for your time, sir.

[00:27:39] Good morning, First Sergeant.

[00:27:46] How can I help you?

[00:27:48] I'm looking for someone.

[00:27:49] Isn't everyone?

[00:27:51] The records are very spotty right now, but I'll do the best I can.

[00:27:56] Thanks.

[00:27:57] Her name is Michelle Price.

[00:27:58] She was going out on the supply crew.

[00:28:01] Way beyond what we can hold.

[00:28:05] Keep your eyes open.

[00:28:10] Things that we need.

[00:28:11] Here we go.

[00:28:16] Oh.

[00:28:17] What?

[00:28:18] She went out with the Charlie crew.

[00:28:21] We haven't received communications with them since the bombings.

[00:28:25] Did they make it to Denver?

[00:28:27] No.

[00:28:28] They were en route.

[00:28:29] Hmm.

[00:28:30] Then we should have seen them.

[00:28:32] Excuse me?

[00:28:33] I just came from Sedalia.

[00:28:35] If they were en route, we would have surely seen them.

[00:28:38] They were heading to Golden, sir.

[00:28:40] They could have been on the 70 by then.

[00:28:43] That area didn't get heavily bombed.

[00:28:46] Your guess is as good as mine right now, sir.

[00:28:50] I can let you know as soon as I have confirmation of arrival.

[00:28:54] You're headed over to assist Lieutenant Colonel Jackson, right?

[00:28:58] That's the order I received.

[00:29:00] Very good, sir.

[00:29:02] I'll let you know.

[00:29:03] Thanks.

[00:29:35] How did it go?

[00:29:36] What did he say?

[00:29:37] Looks like we're on our own, Vince.

[00:29:40] What?

[00:29:40] He won't send anyone.

[00:29:42] It's up to us.

[00:29:43] Really?

[00:29:45] What the hell?

[00:29:47] We go to battle, risk our lives and our family for the cause,

[00:29:51] and he can't even send a handful of soldiers to get Erica back?

[00:29:56] What a frickin'...

[00:29:57] Come on, Vince.

[00:29:58] We're out of here.

[00:30:01] Emotional flicker.

[00:30:04] You are my everything.

[00:30:07] Any news on Michelle?

[00:30:09] No.

[00:30:10] No one knows where she is.

[00:30:11] We didn't find her body on the way.

[00:30:14] Hopefully her crew made it to Denver.

[00:30:16] Maybe we just missed her.

[00:30:18] Don't you want to go look for her?

[00:30:19] Of course I do.

[00:30:20] But I made a promise, and I intend to keep it.

[00:30:24] Thanks, Bennett.

[00:30:24] Oh, I wish that you had him pull the trigger.

[00:30:33] Shut me down with my face.

[00:30:39] My blood is getting thicker.

[00:30:46] So, what did he say?

[00:30:48] Nada.

[00:30:49] I should go over there and give that no-good pile of dirt a piece of my mind.

[00:30:55] My daughter's out there.

[00:30:57] We're going with or without his permission.

[00:30:59] I'm done with the shit.

[00:31:03] These freaking stripes.

[00:31:04] I dedicated my whole life to them.

[00:31:07] For what?

[00:31:08] If it weren't for Erica, none of us would have our freedom right now.

[00:31:12] I'm going with you guys this time.

[00:31:14] I can fight.

[00:31:15] But I am not getting left behind again.

[00:31:18] What about you, Nancy?

[00:31:20] I'm not going to fight, if that's what you're wondering.

[00:31:23] We'll be close to Dallas.

[00:31:25] You could stay with Brett.

[00:31:27] We could rendezvous back there.

[00:31:29] Sounds like a plan to me.

[00:31:33] Knock, knock.

[00:31:34] I heard that more family returned.

[00:31:37] Greg!

[00:31:38] Oh, man.

[00:31:39] Am I glad to see you, buddy?

[00:31:43] Sheila wants to have a little chat.

[00:32:22] Take the left.

[00:32:23] Sergey, go to the right.

[00:32:25] Damn it, DJ.

[00:32:26] TJ.

[00:32:26] I told you, she was your responsibility.

[00:32:30] She's right here, Carl.

[00:32:32] I can smell her.

[00:32:33] She's here, boss.

[00:32:35] She's in this area.

[00:32:37] But I can't pinpoint the signal.

[00:32:40] Let's check over this way.

[00:32:53] What are you going to do, cubby with a piece of glass?

[00:32:57] Hold it real tight.

[00:33:01] Don't let it happen again, TJ.

[00:33:04] This capture is going to make our careers.

[00:33:07] It won't.

[00:33:08] On your knees now.

[00:33:22] Get on your knees.

[00:33:24] She does.

[00:33:31] She thinks she can take me.

[00:33:32] Carl, come on.

[00:33:34] You have to let me.

[00:33:36] Erica, just get on your knees.

[00:33:38] Look at her, Carl.

[00:33:40] Come on.

[00:33:40] Go ahead, but leave Sheila out of it.

[00:33:48] Check this out.

[00:33:50] She's so tiny.

[00:33:53] You're going to regret this, girly.

[00:33:56] Full punch, but not fast enough, girly.

[00:34:07] TJ, leave Sheila out of it.

[00:34:21] What you got now, girly?

[00:34:22] Well, guess what?

[00:34:29] I got tricks, too.

[00:34:31] Now get on your knees.

[00:34:46] That's your round.

[00:34:48] I'll tell you what I do with disobedient refugees.

[00:34:50] Do what you got to do.

[00:34:53] Without the face, don't break a bone.

[00:34:56] That wasn't so tough.

[00:35:21] Run for me again.

[00:35:23] Dinner is ready, guys.

[00:35:25] TJ, chain her back up.

[00:35:28] No mistakes.

[00:35:30] Give me your arms.

[00:35:32] Oh, does your back hurt?

[00:36:30] You guys got scraps.

[00:36:32] She doesn't need it.

[00:36:34] Do you want to carry her again?

[00:36:39] Let me have the plate.

[00:36:40] I don't want anyone near her.

[00:36:42] Jasper, this dog can bite.

[00:36:44] You want food?

[00:36:46] Here's your food.

[00:37:33] Thank you, Jasper.

[00:37:34] Just like clockwork, bro.

[00:37:36] Capital City, here we come.

[00:37:38] I told you I would find a way to get us there.

[00:37:40] Yeah, but you have to admit, this place is crazy.

[00:37:44] I haven't been this far south before.

[00:37:45] We always went into the capital.

[00:37:47] It was tense, but not like this.

[00:38:18] Friend like you.

[00:38:19] That's the reason I came, bro.

[00:38:21] Okay, one more checkpoint.

[00:38:22] We're home free.

[00:38:23] Oh, shit, Johnny.

[00:38:25] That's a lot of guards.

[00:38:27] Just chill.

[00:38:28] The pass will work.

[00:38:37] How are we doing today, sir?

[00:38:39] Papers.

[00:38:45] What are they talking about?

[00:38:51] Step out of the vehicle.

[00:38:52] What are we being arrested for?

[00:38:54] You two resemble a couple of federal traitors on our most wanted list.

[00:38:58] You look a lot like Johnny McClintock.

[00:39:00] And you look a lot like Dexter Moore.

[00:39:03] Who?

[00:39:03] What are you talking about?

[00:39:04] We don't know them.

[00:39:05] We'll see.

[00:39:08] Sir, we have detained Dexter Moore and Johnny McClintock.

[00:39:12] Very court.

[00:39:13] Now hold them in Chattanooga until further notice.

[00:39:16] Yes, sir.

[00:39:31] There's been a mix-up.

[00:39:34] I'm telling you.

[00:39:35] Step inside.

[00:39:37] My name is Justin Case.

[00:39:40] You have the wrong guy.

[00:40:04] Disaster Coffee is fueling disaster relief in America.

[00:40:08] Our coffee is roasted to order and shipped to your front door.

[00:40:12] You cannot get it any fresher.

[00:40:14] Visit DisasterCoffee.com and caffeinate with a purpose.

[00:40:19] That's DisasterCoffee.com.

[00:40:27] It is so good to see you, bro.

[00:40:30] Likewise, bro.

[00:40:33] How are my parents?

[00:40:35] A little banged up, but they're going to be fine.

[00:40:38] Megan's alive.

[00:40:41] We were some of the lucky ones.

[00:40:44] Such a mess, Vince.

[00:40:46] Erica's been taken by the feds, Greg.

[00:40:48] What?

[00:40:49] You're kidding, right?

[00:40:50] Where is she?

[00:40:52] They took her.

[00:40:53] Ambushed us.

[00:40:54] Shot us all.

[00:40:55] My helmet and my dad's watch saved me.

[00:40:58] We lost Kyle, Phillip, and Hensley.

[00:41:01] I'm so sorry.

[00:41:04] Are you going to get her?

[00:41:05] Of course.

[00:41:06] We're gearing up right now.

[00:41:08] Merkley wouldn't give us any reinforcements to help.

[00:41:11] We're going solo.

[00:41:12] Come with us.

[00:41:23] I'm a mess, bro.

[00:41:25] Erica is my everything.

[00:41:29] You know I love you guys, but I've got to take supplies up north.

[00:41:32] People are counting on me.

[00:41:34] I'm counting on you, Greg.

[00:41:36] I really need you for this.

[00:41:38] Please.

[00:41:39] Vince, I'm so sorry, but I can't.

[00:41:41] My family, these people, they need me too.

[00:41:44] I promise.

[00:41:45] I'll take care of your parents.

[00:41:47] I understand.

[00:41:48] You've got to do what you've got to do, right?

[00:41:50] I'm sorry, Vince.

[00:41:52] I really wish I could.

[00:41:53] When are you leaving?

[00:41:55] Now.

[00:41:56] We've already spent days coming here.

[00:41:59] Hopefully we can still find some kind of a trail.

[00:42:02] I hope you do.

[00:42:03] Greg, I understand your decision.

[00:42:05] But I don't have time to worry about that now.

[00:42:08] Maybe it's best if you just go.

[00:42:10] Take care of yourself.

[00:42:16] Motherfucking bad.

[00:42:21] Everything okay, Nancy?

[00:42:28] Vince is losing it.

[00:42:39] You feel better?

[00:42:41] It wouldn't come.

[00:42:43] I love that man like a brother.

[00:42:45] I need him now more than ever.

[00:42:47] Vince, you have friends, and they're with you.

[00:42:50] No, Bennett.

[00:42:52] Erica has friends.

[00:42:54] They're with her.

[00:42:55] That man there is my best friend.

[00:42:58] I loved him like a brother.

[00:43:01] But he still wouldn't come.

[00:43:03] Would you have left your family to go chasing Alf after another man's wife?

[00:43:07] For his wife?

[00:43:08] Yes.

[00:43:09] Vince, we're going to get her back.

[00:43:11] I just miss her so much.

[00:43:14] I can't believe I let him take her.

[00:43:18] I'm going over the same guilt trip in my mind.

[00:43:21] If I would have just gone with you guys, then maybe...

[00:43:24] Then maybe you'd be dead, too.

[00:43:27] Maybe.

[00:43:28] But I wouldn't be here kicking myself for letting them take her.

[00:43:31] True.

[00:43:32] Stay strong, Vince.

[00:43:33] Do you know what Erica went through when she hauled you across Montana on your deathbed?

[00:43:37] She had to stay strong for you, and now you have to stay strong for her.

[00:43:42] And just so you know, I am your friend.

[00:43:46] I know, Bennett.

[00:43:47] I didn't mean it like that.

[00:43:49] I know you didn't.

[00:43:50] I just wanted you to be sure.

[00:43:52] I guess you're stuck with me.

[00:43:53] Let's tag to a branch.

[00:44:36] I hope they find it.

[00:44:40] Come on.

[00:44:41] We're going again.

[00:44:44] You're not looking too good, Merkley.

[00:44:46] I've never walked this far in my life.

[00:44:49] You don't want to get too tired when you're in a pool of sharks.

[00:44:52] What do you know about it?

[00:44:54] Why don't you come tell me?

[00:44:56] What are you doing, Merkley?

[00:44:58] Do you see the tea on her back?

[00:45:01] This girl is mine.

[00:45:04] I don't want you anywhere near her.

[00:45:06] Do you understand?

[00:45:07] Commander Gray couldn't find you.

[00:45:09] It's time to go.

[00:45:11] Sorry to rain on your parade.

[00:45:13] I told you never to run from me again, right?

[00:45:17] When I talked to you, I told you never to run from me again, right?

[00:45:24] Yes.

[00:45:25] What?

[00:45:26] I couldn't quite hear that.

[00:45:28] Yes, you piece of crap.

[00:45:30] Yes.

[00:45:30] You told me not to run from you.

[00:45:32] But you still haven't promised me that you won't.

[00:45:35] Piss off.

[00:45:36] Don't get lippy with me, girly.

[00:45:38] Sheila can take care of that real fast, too.

[00:45:40] It's not...

[00:45:41] TJ.

[00:45:43] Her shirt is more torn.

[00:45:46] I noticed that as well.

[00:45:47] Sheila didn't do that.

[00:45:50] That's right.

[00:45:51] Hold still now.

[00:45:53] Whatever.

[00:45:54] Girly, you want to push?

[00:45:56] TJ, quit playing with the dog.

[00:46:02] Come back?

[00:46:08] Yes, sir.

[00:46:13] Yes, sir.

[00:46:14] I'll let her know.

[00:46:15] Thank you, sir.

[00:46:16] Put her on her knees.

[00:46:21] That was the Supreme General.

[00:46:25] He wanted me to let you know that your son, Dexter, is now in federal custody.

[00:46:32] We're going into Amarillo to arrange a ferry ride across the lake.

[00:46:38] If you even breathe wrong while we're in that city, your son will die.

[00:46:42] If he's in custody, my son is going to die anyway.

[00:46:55] He's right, Erica.

[00:46:57] I'm the only one saving you from all the horrible things that man has running around in his mind.

[00:47:03] If you screw this up, try to run, do anything other than what you were told to do, your son will die.

[00:47:11] And you will wish you were dead.

[00:47:13] Do you hear me?

[00:47:14] Yes.

[00:47:15] Yes.

[00:47:16] Yes.

[00:47:17] I hear you.

[00:47:18] I'll have this bitch train in no time.
