Spokane Valley could become a sanctuary city of a different kind. Councilman Caleb Collier says that this proposal... I'm proposing that the city of Spokane Valley issue a proclamation stating that our city is a Second Amendment sanctuary. Welcome to the fire. Welcome to the fire. And lastly, if you want to get a hold of us, churchandstate1776 at proton.me. With that, let's go ahead and bring on our guest. Now, I'm thrilled to bring to you Dr. James Markham. He's the Speaker Director of HeartWise Ministry. It's a 501c3 nonprofit. He's a practicing cardiologist in one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been in, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dr. Markham specializes in disease reversal. He's active with syndicated television, radio, social media ministry, and he's also the author of the book, The Ultimate Prescription and the Medicine That Kills. Dr. Markham, it is an absolute pleasure to have you on Church Estate. Well, thank you, Caleb. It's just a pleasure to be with you today and to talk about this message that That's been given to me by God, I think, to share with our world when we have some of the worst health problems ever. And unfortunately, we just don't practitioners don't have the tools they need to solve the problem. So this book is a compilation basically of my entire life. I'm 63 years old. I practiced for over 35 years. Caleb, I still work three days a week in the hospital doing acute care cardiologists. The other four days I spend in media, getting the message out, making new content. But the most important thing I think I do every day is pray and read my Bible and connect with my creator and get the power that comes from only the Holy Spirit and to get that message out to the world about how we have a real healer that has answers to my problems, to your problems. And unfortunately, I've had most of the problems I talk about in the book. I had a heart attack when I was age 40. I'm 63 now. I have diabetes. I've had a lot of these medical problems. I've also dealt with patients from all over the world that had serious problems. I saw that you have worked in the medical field in the past. So, you know, people come with needs. They have real needs. And the first thing that I try to do is meet their needs. We try to love them and not judge them, introduce them to a source of truth, and then work on reversing their disease, both in the short term as well as the long term. So I can't deal with people all over. I got people coming. They've had three bypasses, 10 stents. They're on 14 medicines. They can't walk across the room because they're having chest pain. And they want some help. So this book... is my way of giving them help. The steps that I live in my life, the steps that I use that work, that give evidence-based medicine, but more than important to that, the real source of truth that I prove in this book is the Bible. The principles in the Bible are far ahead of modern medicine. I just was dealing with a friend that he's down in Argentina with the American College of Cardiology. He's talking about all the, quote, great technology that we have. And I admit, we have some of the greatest technology to keep people alive everywhere. But I think even a greater technology is biblical technology. The truth in the Bible that when we can apply it to our lives and make our lives better and also share it with our friends and neighbors, what could be more powerful technology than that? So I lay out this, and I call it the Creator's Code because it deals with a lot of genetics. You know, they say the language of God is the DNA. And the DNA was discovered not too long ago. We now know how the DNA talks to cells. So that's sort of like our hardwire programing. Then we have the software, the epigenetics that determine the hardware. And so we focus a lot on that. And one of the things that I incorporate that I don't think anyone else does in the entire world is how worship changes our physiology, our chronic inflammation genes, how it turns on and off these pathways of especially the NFKB pathways. This is the programming in our body that turns on and off inflammatory genes, interleukin-6, interleukin-B, those type of inflammation, the chronic inflammation that happens when our body's under stress. We'll worship resting turns off those chronic genetic genes that are fueling some of our epigenetic changes that's changing our entire physiology. In fact, not too long ago, Charlie Kirk was experiencing this remarkable change in his body just by taking a day off, a day of rest. So he had me come out to his church and and talk to them about the specific physiology. What really happens when we worship? What really happens when we pray? Well, there's real genetics that are going on. Methylation, histone modifications, change in brain chemistry, the way things are turned off and on. There's real physiology that's been given to us in the Bible. And now we have some of the science to prove, once again, that the Bible's true, that we can apply the truths in the Bible, even if we don't have the specific science behind it. So Roger Schwalt and I, who is an expert on how to use the sunlight in changing our physiology, we came up with this book, The Creator's Code. And in it, we give you and I and everyone simple steps. They don't cost a lot of money. There's not a lot of gimmicks. They use the principles in modern medicine and lifestyle medicine. but they put us on a path where God can guide us in the way we need to take care of this temple that he blessed us with. I got to say, this is fascinating. I wish more of modern medicine would go down this road. You know, you said something in the beginning, and I want to dissect a lot of what you just talked about. But you said something in the beginning about how we have all this modern tech that can keep people alive, but it's quality of life. And as a former EMT, I used to joke that I was going to get a DNR tattooed on my chest. Because, I mean, honestly, I'd see these people that, yeah, they were holding on to life, but at what cost? Nobody wants to live as a vegetable or a vegetative state. And so if we can do something through re-examining modern medicine, re-examining the technology, and seeing if maybe God, the Bible, what it talks about, that there's a better way of life, I am all for it. But before we get there, Dr., I want to go a little bit into your history because I read this and I was fascinated by it. And I think for the audience's sake, they're going to be really interested in this. You alluded to it or you talked about it. You said you had a heart attack. at 40. But as I understand it, you were on a ski lift. You're a cardiologist. And all of a sudden you go down and that's really what started the journey. Can you go into that for the audience? Yeah. Well, at a young age, I knew that God wanted me to go into medicine. Because at a young age, I had an accident where they thought I was going to have to have my arm amputated. And through prayer and a great orthopedic surgeon, I just lost some four or five fingers. And I'm probably one of the few people in America that can grow hair on the palm of my hand and also have a tanned hand. But through a miracle, God taught me to use it, and I decided to go into medicine. Now, of course, I wanted to go into cardiovascular surgery, but no one's going to let someone operate it that doesn't have a great functional hand. So I went into cardiology. So here I am as a cardiologist, living the life, learning all of this stuff. And cardiology has grown a lot over the 35 years. I started before we had stents, before we had defibrillators, before we had ablations, all of this technology. So as I'm going through, I'm just starting my practice, have two kids, live in Chattanooga. And I said, I'm going to get away for a great week. I need to get away. So we go up to Colorado. Great skiing up there. I love to ski. So we're up there skiing, and I'm up in the high altitude, which I'm not used to in Tennessee. Cold weather, which I'm not used to. Now, skiing down these black slope moguls, I was loving it. Unfortunately, I was probably doing a little bit more energy stimulants than I needed to. That was the perfect milieu for me to have a type of heart attack called a coronary spasm. Now, a lot of people don't realize that there's different types of heart attacks. They all feel the same. So here I am. My friends have already skied down the slopes. I'm up on top of this black slope. It's late in the day. No cell phones, okay? And there I am. I get off the lift, and boom, the crushing chest pain, beads of sweat, shortness of breath, felt my heart racing, dropped to my knees, and I knew I was having a heart attack. I knew it. I knew it. And I said, oh, no, God, you know, I know I've been busy with my career. I've been doing things. I've been trying to help people. But is this it for me right now? My friends were already down, and I just prayed a prayer. God, just why is this happening? Please, please help me. So after about 30 minutes of just recovering, no one else is coming down. No one's coming to help me. I say, listen, I either stay here and freeze in the snow, or I try to make it down the slope. So I pray, and supernatural power came, and somehow I inched my way down the slope. Took me over 30 minutes. I knew if I fell, it was all over. I couldn't fall. No one else was coming. It was one of the late in the days. It was getting dark. So I make it down to the bottom. My friends were there. Hey, why did it take so long, Jim? And I said, well, you know, I'm having a heart attack. I need some help, you know? And they go, oh, yeah, you look white. You look pale. You don't look so good. So they took me to the hospital. And if you go X amount of time without getting blood to the muscle, it dies, okay? And luckily I didn't die suddenly from an arrhythmia on top of the mountain. There were no defibrillators up there. So somehow they got me to the emergency room. They took me to the cath lab, take a picture of my artery, said, oh, and the cardiologist, oh, yeah, we see lots of these. These are coronary spasms. We get people, they get hypoxic, they get high altitude, they get too much adrenaline. They're artery spasms like this. Then everything south dies. And I knew if I had some nitroglycerin, I probably could have opened it up, but it stayed dead. And of course he opened it. And when blood doesn't move, it clots. So all downstream, all down that vessel was clotted off. The muscle was died. He tried to pull some of it out, but I lost most of my muscle there. So at that time, I sheepishly call my wife and said, Sonia, I'm so sorry. I'm in bad shape. I had a heart attack. I'm going to make it home. So then when I came home, Caleb, my whole world changed. I said, God, I saw the world differently. I saw it one day at a time. And I said, I want to do everything I can to protect my arteries from disease. And then I looked at what I was practicing, and I realized modern medicine is great at keeping people alive, but we don't do very well at preventing disease. So that's when I started my journey. I started a 501c3. I started talking about things on the radio. At first, I was heavy into nutrition, you know, and I got to hang out with Esselstyn at the Cleveland Clinic, who was reversing disease with nutrition. I got to China study with T. Colin Campbell. I got to do all of that. But I've sort of evolved over time, and I realized that that they're so much more than nutrition. I realize it's all the stressors in life that cause inflammation, that damages the endothelium. All of these factors cause the endothelium to be damaged. We get plaque, we get problems with it. Then we get cardiovascular disease. But then I kept thinking, you know, As I've learned this, it goes for chronic disease. And I realize that all of these disease states, many that we have, we are doing a terrible job of giving people the tools they need to prevent the problems. Just for example, just the statistics came out from 2024. Did you know that in healthcare, we're spending about $ 4. 5 trillion a year? Trillion. About over $ 15, 000 a person. 18% of the GDP, and yet our kids aren't growing up healthy, our adults are not healthy. We're sicker than ever, and we keep putting more money into this great conglomerate that's not solving problems. So the media and the narrative need a different voice. So this book, this attempt to get a different voice out there, the creator's voice, what he would say if he was here, we want people to look at creator and how he does things and not how creation has turned things into this ever profiting making system that's just not working for most Americans. And I think after the pandemic, most people say, hey, what we're having here is not good. We want something better. So they're looking for answers, and they're looking for answers from the government. They're looking for answers everywhere. So this is a different voice out there giving people evidence-based things that they can apply to your office. So that's how my story has evolved. But I have all these medical problems. I'm a diabetic. I'm wearing a glucose monitor on me today. I can tell you right now that I'm a little excited, but my blood sugar is 154. But I do everything I can to stay alive one day at a time to get God this message that I believe God's given me through the Holy Spirit. Why did he keep me alive? One time after another, things happen, and somehow I make it. And God's put me in the path of some of the greatest minds in the world. And oh, you know, I really had a great experience with Charlie Kirk. I know some people love him. Some people don't. But I will say this. He was a person that I greatly admired. He was getting it. He was moving his narrative to the Bible, the source of truth, the Holy Spirit. And he was getting people excited about the gospel again and teaching them how to apply it and not be ashamed and to stand up to all of the stuff we have going on in this world, the distractions. So I was greatly hurt when he was killed. And so I gave him a lot of the stuff in his book that he wrote. Stop in the name of God. If you look at some of the chapters there, I gave him a lot of that material. And when he couldn't promote his book anymore, I said, it's time to come out with a version of this, my version that I can keep this legacy, this biblical legacy of spreading the gospel out there. And that's how the Creator's Code works. was born. And hopefully through avenues like this, we can get it to grow. This is not mine. This is something that's coming from the truth in the Bible, applying it to individuals' lives through the power that God gives us through the Holy Spirit. Amen to so much of that. You know, as a libertarian, I'm going to always tell the audience, never look to the government as a solution. That is not the direction you want to go. Dr. Markham, you may not know this, but I actually used to work for Charlie Kirk So I echo what you say, an amazing man, incredible to be around and his death. What a tragedy. It hit so hard, you know, especially those of us who actually knew him. I want to go into this. And, you know, you've already brought up worship. You brought up taking a day off. And so when I look to the Bible and I look at some of the things that God said to his creation, that's all of us. And he told us to take a day of rest. And that is so important for us. You know, I've been around a lot of different denominations. And one, and I'm not a Seventh-day Adventist, but one thing that I love about the SDA church, they take a day off and they meet. it when they take that day off. I think we should probably examine that and start actually living that lifestyle. You talk about worship, and I want to dive into that, but is there other things as well, maybe some dietary restrictions that are talked about in specifically the Old Testament that Maybe staying away from things like pork. And hey, guys, I like bacon as much as everybody else does. But maybe pork, maybe shellfish. Are there other things that we can examine the Bible and say, hey, you know, while we're not under that law anymore, maybe we should still look at this for our health. Yeah, well, what I did, Caleb, in my life is, and my patients, you know, first of all, we have to meet someone's acute needs. You know, if you're having chest pain, if you can't breathe, we got to deal with that. And lots of times we need modern medicine for that to settle that down, but not get at the cause. And in that process, I try to find out what a person's needs are, because everyone's in pain. And sometimes they reach for unhealthy sources of dopamine. to solve their pain. That might be drugs, alcohol, pornography, too much sports, too much whatever, too much money, whatever that pain is. And I, because people say, listen, we have to reach for healthier sources of dopamine to help our pain. And you have to have a true north. So in my book, this is a great book for seekers. So I have to spend, when I'm presenting this, I have to sort of let them know that my source of truth was the Bible. And in it, I spend a whole chapter scientifically proving that the Bible's true, that there's no doubt mathematically, the archaeology, there's no doubt that the Bible's true. So once they agree with that premise, then they can start applying the truth in the Bible to their lives. And in my life, I had to do things simple, something that I could get success on and build on. So the first step I try to talk people on is the power of worship. You know, Andrew Newberg at the university in Philadelphia, he just says just 10 minutes a day of worship, whether that be prayer, Bible study, even if you're a non-believer, even if you're a non-believer, that just worship, it grows the part of the brain called the anterior cingulate cortex. We call that the God brain. You grow new blood cells. We call that angiogenesis. And you turn down the stress part of the brain, the amygdala. That's the selfish part of the brain. That's the part that's turned on when we're fearful, when we're scared, when we have chronic inflammation. So we start getting the brain so we can communicate with God, get some of that brain fog out of there so we can actually see him, hear him, and plug into his power. So that's where I start in health. And who starts in health and worship? Not very many people. It's not very popular, but it's very high technology, high technology. And if you do believe that the Bible's true, Caleb, which I do, you believe the verses. Let's say if you believe in me, you have everlasting life. You're going to have healing at some point down the road. So you're going to have permanent healing and everyone I think I've seen once that enduring hope, but along the way in worship, you also get this brain change this God dwelling in us that turns on power that we are just now understanding genetically. So we get that going for a patient first. Get them in worship, in prayer. Get them to have those epigenetic changes that turn down some of this chronic inflammatory response in the brain. So all of a sudden, we can communicate with our creator. He becomes our physician. Everyone else is just a consultant. He's our true healer, okay? So we get that going. Then we start, well, what can you help us with? What's doable? Well, something as simple as drinking water. hydrating themselves. 75% of Americans don't drink enough water every day. Now, not only do we want the water that we take in, but we also want living water, okay? When we're dehydrated, It turns on inflammatory responses in the body. It puts the body under a certain amount of stress. You go walk in the desert, your brain doesn't work well because it needs water. Every cell needs water to function. That's just a basic. So I started in my life drinking enough water every day, making it a priority, making it a treatment. 75% of people don't. Deficiency in water is a big time player. You know, I see a lot on the Internet about peptides, about all the newest things. But something as big as water helps that much. Some of these other things might help this much. And yet you don't have to pay large amounts of money for water. There's not large amounts of side effects with water. So that's something I did. And when I did it, I felt better. The number one cause of fatigue in the world today is dehydration. If you're dehydrated, nothing works well. So I started doing that, a biblical prescription, hydration. And then I said, well, you know, I got worship. I got water. I'm going to add something else. The next thing I added was scheduled movement. Exercise might be a better word. And then I looked at the statistics. 75% to 80% of people don't get the basic amount of movement every day. When you don't move, the blood stays still. It doesn't help the endothelium remain healthy, so it ages quicker. When you move, you get new blood cells that grow. You get the bone marrow that's stimulated. The T cells are stimulated. You make growth factors that help your body grow new things. You help your metabolism, your insulin systems. It helps everything. Just if you can get up and move around the chair every hour, that's a basic. get up to 10,000 to 15,000 steps a day, throw in some resistance training and some stretching, and there you have it. All of the studies have shown that the best treatments for cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's, all of these things is just a movement program. And yet 75% of people are deficient in movement. Now, we don't see a lot of that written in the Bible. We have people walking with God. They didn't have the problems that we do. They didn't sit at a desk all day. They didn't sit at a screen all day. They didn't stay in these cities that we live in. They got outside and did things. And I think you and I, when we get to break, we're going to have to walk around the room to get our blood moving so we don't have this aging of the endothelium, more inflammation, damage to the endothelium, more likely to pick up a clot or a cholesterol plaque, more likely to age. Then we have a symptom. We have the symptom. We go to the doctor, and he treats the symptom but doesn't give us the clues to get at the cause. And that's what I'm trying to do here, get people the big clues that each one of us can do if we have a little common sense. But we don't focus on those things. We focus on the trendy things. So I started adding movement, and all of a sudden, I even felt better. You know, my weak heart got better. My diabetes improved, everything. I now walk after every meal to bring down my blood sugar, every meal. I try to move as much as I can during the day, try to get my steps in. If I don't get my steps in, I just don't feel good. So we had that biblical prescription. So I said, well, that's great. I'm going to add another one. So the next one I added in the sequence of my life, and I go through the sequence in this book, is taking a day off rest. Not only resting one day a week, and that rest is just breaking from your routine, doing something, doing something for you, connecting with your God, but also concentrating on resting at night. I looked at the statistics. Very few people rest well at night. When we don't rest at night, the circadian rhythms go off course. We make a lot of cortisol, adrenaline. I got to pause you right here, doctor. I apologize. But we hit that hard break. But ladies and gentlemen, obviously, we're not done yet. And so far, we've gone through... four W's as far as I'm counting. So we got worship, we got water, we got working out, and we got well rested. So there's your four W's so far. We're going to continue to cover this. This is Caleb Collier with Church and State. Are you tired of your device spying on you? Ladies and gentlemen, we live in 1984. But since we're talking about health, let me tell you about something that definitely helped me. And maybe my guests might disagree with me on this, but I love methylene blue. I do. I take it uh, pretty much, uh, Monday through Friday. Um, and it has been a game changer for me. Uh, got rid of a lot of that, uh, just that fog, a lot more mental clarity. I actually increased, uh, the amount of time that I was sleeping, uh, And I was very open with the audience about my insomnia issues. So this was a game changer for me. There's a lot of garbage out there on the line or online, but I love best 365 labs. Go check them out and use the promo code church and state. With that, let's go back to our guest, Dr. James Markham, author of The Creator Code. And I had to rudely cut him off. I hate doing it, but it's the nature of the beast. But we're talking about well rested. And you were talking about when people are not resting well, sir, and they're increasing their cortisol levels. You were talking about that. But please, please continue. Yeah, well, these are all simple things that we can do. And I'm glad you brought up methylene blue, Caleb, because, you know, there's a lot of research on methylene blue, how at certain doses it's an alternative mitochondria electron carrier. So the energy sources in our cells are mitochondria. So if we can enhance mitochondria function, especially in people that have a lot of what we call oxidative stress, okay, we talk about rest. One of the best ways of getting rid of reactive oxygen species inflammation in the body is rest. In the brain, We have this glymphatic system that at night when we rest, the brain's able to get rid of the toxins through the glymphatic system, and it only happens when we have adequate rest. And I think all your viewers and listeners out there will understand, after you get a good night's rest, you feel good. You know, you feel good, ready to tackle the world. Well, there's real physiology behind that. You know, when we do that, we really have physiologically changes in our bodies. The inflammation, the toxins get out of our body. That just comes from a good night's rest. You know, the body heals itself. But can you imagine our creator has said, listen, you know, we're working 24-7. We need to take a day off. You know, we need to take a whole day off to rest, to recuperate, to get this anti-inflammatory effect. benefit that we have by connecting with God, by connecting with the earth, by connecting with the family. However God teaches you how to rest, this is an enormous physiologic treatment that we all can plug into. And the people that do that benefit. And I looked at the studies in my book, and one group that you talked about are the Seventh-day Adventists. Their studies show that they have remarkable benefits. They're part of the blue zones. Other people that benefit, the Jewish population do that. They benefit. So God has never given us anything that would hurt his creation. That doesn't make sense. He wants the creation to do well. Well, one of the things he taught in the Old Testament and the New Testament is take some time off. So I started to apply rest, and the better I rested at night and took a weekly rest, my physiology, my body was receiving the chemicals that it needed to heal, even though we haven't explained all of the complex physiology that existed. So that was something I could do. So I worked through these, Caleb, over years, and my health improved. And you look at me today, you know, you can't tell I've had a bad heart attack. You can't tell I'm diabetes. You can't tell inside I'm not perfect. But God has kept me going as I plugged into his work. recipe, his prescription, his formula, including the most important thing, and that's his son that gives me the power. And even if I can't do it, and if I fall over like this, Caleb, I know that I'm going to be made perfect. And that's a guarantee I have. No ifs, ands, or buts. There's nothing I do. It's a free gift. I just receive it. And how many people actually do that? We try to work our way. We have to do everything ourselves. We have to eat perfect. We have to exercise perfect. We have to sleep perfect. No, we don't have to do that. God lets us do that based on his power for us so we can bring glory to him. We're here for a purpose. So as I started realizing that, I started resting better. Then I started tackling the hardest one for everybody, and that's nutrition. So I go through the chapter nutrition, the practical things. Do we have to be perfect? No, but we can all do better. And I focus on things like eating more fiber, trying not to eat big at night, focusing on eating the good things first, eat things without a lot of chemicals on it. I was recently in Washington and I went by this city called Yakima. You've probably been there. They had the. Best fruit in the world. It tasted great. I could feel the energy. So we try to eat things that are real, not things that are processed, not things that are chemicalized, not too much sodium, not too much fatty foods, not too much high fructose corn syrup. And have that balance. Now, do we have to be perfect? No. But as we move towards a healthier lifestyle, healthier nutrition, I started feeling better. My taste buds begin to change. And some of the things that used to taste good did not taste good. So I added that on and I'm still learning every day of new things to add on. In nutrition world, I just added on fiber. I said, man, I have to get more fiber, 30 to 35 grams of fiber. When you get fiber, it turns on short chain fatty acids. The butyrates. The butyrates keep the bad toxins from getting in me. It turns down inflammation in the body, which is driving endothelial function. It helps make nitric oxide bigger so my arteries are healthier, things get in and out better. It helps my brain chemistry, less brain inflammation, less brain fog, just by eating fiber. Now, I calculated I wasn't getting enough every day. Even though I ate a fiber-rich salad every day, I still wasn't getting enough. So now I have a glass of water. I put some psyllium and something in it, and I just gulp it down. And since I've done that, my 63-year-old joints are feeling better. I'm less inflammatory. I can actually feel the changes. So I wanted to have some evidence so I can measure my interleukin-6, my sed rate, my C-reactive protein. All of those actually improved as I cut down fiber. So I said, man, this doesn't cost me a lot of money. I didn't have to buy a supplement. Is there something else I could add? Well, just recently, we've got all of the research on sunlight. You know, for years, we've been taught about sunlight. Phototherapy is so bad for us. Well, if the sunlight was bad, why did God give us the sun? Why does the sun photosynthesis for plants? Why do we need it so much? And yet we looked at the statistics and 70 to 80% of people don't ever get out in the sun. They stay inside. And when they go, they cake themselves on with so much sunscreen. Well, we found out that we need the visible sunlight, what we see every morning, five or 10 minutes when we open, we need that for our circadian rhythms to get melatonin, to get our rhythms of the Bible, the body correct. Well, we need the high energy, the ultraviolet rays, and those are the ones that burn us. We don't need too much of that, but we need that for vitamin D metabolism, for calcium, those type of metabolism. But now the new one is the infrared rays, the longer rays, that we get that it penetrates through our body. That's why you interested me when you talked about methylene blue. We know that chronic stress from wherever it comes damages the mitochondria. So the mitochondria have oxidative stress on this. Well, we know that the infrared rays get into those mitochondria, and it helps them do better so they don't wear out as more, so we have more energy. Our body functions at a higher level. It turns off all of this inflammation and damage that our body is having problems to deal with just by being outside in the sunlight 15 minutes a day. We see people that don't do that, the high altitudes in Alaska, they have high risk of depression, their bones get burned, they don't have energy, lots of things. So I encourage people, just get outside 15 minutes a day. Don't burn, just get out. And if you can't get outside, maybe you can look into getting some infrared equipment you know, raised at the home. You know, we have lots of products out there that are doing that now. It's been another game changer. And yet this is another biblical principle that we knew a long time ago. And yet now we're learning the importance of adding it to our lifestyle. And we're also seeing what happens when we have deficiencies in things. What happens when we have a deficiency in worship, a deficiency in water, a deficiency in movement, a deficiency in rest, a deficiency in nutrition and sunlight? All of these things cause stress, inflammation, damage the endothelium. then we get disease, cancer, then we age quicker, our genes change, then we need modern medicine, then all of a sudden we raise the cost of the healthcare system. And the solution that they have, well, let's give people more medicines, GLP ones, et cetera, but they don't give people the tools that they have to their, can enhance their own body. The way our creator has given us that in the scripture. You know, when you're going through this list and I'm struggling to find a W for the sun, I can't, I can't get, I had all the other W's covered, but I couldn't get the sun, maybe watching the sun. I don't know. But, um, This isn't expensive. Like you were saying, like you're not, you know, the creator code, you go to heartwiseministries.org. You're not selling a bunch of supplements and everything. You're basically telling people, hey, worship God, get some water, you know, get well rested. Work out, you know, get out in the sun, like watch what you eat. That's all pretty simple. And I would imagine, doctor, if people started doing this, the amount of meds that they were required to take, the meds with all those awful side effects that they tend to, I like to say that the micro machine guy, if you remember him. When it gets to the side effects, they're like, it might cause bleeding. They may make it real quick, but then they show the smiling face. But hey, I'm taking the meds and I feel great. I would imagine if you do all of what you're recommending, those meds go way down. Yeah, I've been able to people that can do this. And that's why I wrote the book to give them a template, you know, give them something just for a few dollars. It's cost of a meal. They can apply and go through the steps. It might take some time. Look at the evidence, add them to their lives, and I guarantee you their health will improve. They might be able to get off medications. Many of them can reverse disease in the short term, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, all of these chronic diseases. They can turn those around. But more important, even if they can't do anything, Caleb, when they connect with their creator through worship, they get something special that will last them eternity. Let me ask you something there on that worship, doctor, and I apologize for interrupting, but, uh, you know, I'm a, I'm a Lutheran and, and I'm, I'm, I'm the good kind of Lutheran. Um, but I'm a Lutheran and, and a lot of people, when they look at Lutherans are like, oh, they're so stoic. They don't worship. Uh, that's not factual. We do a lot of singing actually in Lutheran churches. Um, but you're not talking about the worship has to be like running up and down the aisles, going all crazy hands up in the air. Uh, there's a lot of different ways that we can worship our creator, correct? Yes, there is. And in fact, I'm glad you brought that up. I was in Norway, had me come out recently in May. So I spent the month of May in Norway with Lutherans, okay? And the Lutherans out there, they worshiped a lot in nature, you know, getting out and walking. They worshiped in being in fellowship with their family, working and serving mankind, however God gives you. That is a form of worship, right? But the goal, Caleb, I think, in time is to connect with your Creator and find out all of theβ live a life of worship. You know, you have your special high days, and that might be through prayer and Bible study and worshiping conglomerately, but you want to live your life in worship and service with Because you were put here for a reason. And I realized when I was in Norway that a lot of Lutherans, they connect differently. But just the problem is, it's not how you're connecting, just so you are connecting. And you realize that, you know, I want to give my worship and my allegiance, my authority to the God in heaven and not to the little gods that are created all around earth that are distracting us from what's really important. And that's what I wanted to get out is this new message that we need to talk about, that we need to get out there. Not everyone's going to want to do it, but at least give them the option if they want to do these things and apply these things and get this higher power, this genetic change that's coming in, these epigenetic changes that's already been proven in science, how they can implement this in their lives, because you're not going to hear about it anywhere else. They're not going to talk about it in the government. They're not going to talk about these things in the pharmaceutical industry. You're not going to have this legislated. A lot of it's hard to do. You know, it's easy to swallow a pill. It's easy to do these other things, but it takes a little bit of effort to do this sometimes. But as you do this, you're going to receive great rewards, not only in the short term, But in the long term. So that's why I wanted to write this book, The Creator's Code, get a new message out there, a new tool, not only for people, but individuals, doctors, you know, they can say, listen, I don't have a time. I only have 10 minutes with you. But take a look at this. You might find some truths in that that you can apply to your life. For people that don't believe, you know, that's okay, too. Even if you don't believe and you don't plug in the worship part, the other parts are a science behind it, and it works, too. But this is what I wanted to throw out there. God's given me the energy right now, and I want to thank you and what you're doing for spreading this message, because you never know who might hear about this, and it might change their life. It might give them the enduring hope that they need during a tough time. Amen to that. And we've actually, we've run out of time. We've gone a little bit over here, but I want to make sure everybody goes to the website, heartwiseministries.org. Chris is bringing that up for us. But Dr. Markham, just real briefly, tell people why they should go to your website. Well, a couple reasons. One, they can get the book. And that's where they can start on a journey. I'm there to help them one-on-one. If you go to heartwisejm at yahoo.com, I answer people's personal email without pay from all over the world, giving them the best balanced information, a second opinion that I can. They can also visit our syndicated radio, our syndicated TV. They can plug into our YouTubes, all the other biblical things that we do. And our main goal in this site is to point people to the Creator through the power of Christ in the Bible and the Holy Spirit and letting them find the way that God leads them to all of this. And this website gives them some of the initial steps that they can do to take them on this journey. Well, I can't recommend the website enough. I want my audience to go and buy The Creator's Code. You can find that on Amazon. I don't recommend Amazon. Go to heartwiseministries.org, order the book directly through there. But please go check it out, ladies and gentlemen. And Dr. Markham, it has been an absolute pleasure having you on the show. I've got to go ahead and close this out. If you hold on one more minute post-production to say our goodbyes, I'd appreciate it. But thank you so much for joining us on today's episode. My pleasure. And I want to thank you for everything you're doing. Thank you, sir, so much. And thank you for everything that you're doing. All right, ladies and gentlemen, there you go. The creator code. Who would have thought that the creator of all would have given us the blueprints to live a healthy life? I'm shocked. Now, I know you can hear the sarcasm dripping from my voice, but if you want to increase your stamina, increase your longevity, increase your health, I think the creator code is the best place to start.
