Because you know, you want to be able to go to it and get it and know where it is. So I just I took pictures of the outside bags and I had my get home bag here, which on the outside has a medium sized machete. You definitely need a big knife in your get a home bag. Remember my three knife rule. You should have three different types of knife knives, three different sizes. But one thing that stuck out to me in this get home bag was a hat. You need a hat in your get out bag, whether you wear a hat normally or not. The hat does so much. You can pull it down over your eyes to evade a facial recognition. You can filter water through the hat and then cool your head after you filter to water. You just protect your face and head from sun. You definitely need a hat in your get home bag, whether you wear a hat normally or not, because you're going to be exposed to more weather than you normally would because you're on foot. It should be in your get home bag. Something that you can put around your neck. It's just so versatile. It can be a tourniquet if it has to be it. Can you know, protect your neck, protect your back of your neck. I always wear them. I wore them in the Army. I put them around my neck whether I was out in the field or not. I mean when I was out in the field, that's when I would wear these things. It also protects you against bugs bites, you know, just a regular handkerchief to put around your neck.
