Hi. It's your AI assistant here. We've got a bit of a good news, bad news situation. Seems the podcast you're about to listen to has been flagged. It's been flagged for disinformation and misinformation. So you won't be able to enjoy it today. Be careful out there. Remember, I'm your friend. I want to write your family codex, PBN family. And in fact, you guys are going to be the first ones to, uh... Really be... Probably the first ones to take advantage of this service. I don't know. This thing hit me like something out of the Oort cloud yesterday. A meteor just smashed into my head. I was throwing a ball out back with my dog and I... It was so weird. It's really crazy, right? Do you have an idea what your family history is? What your family traditions are? What your family... Great moments in your family? Your homes that you've lived in? Your legacy plan? You know, who gets what in the end? Your... What about, like, the recipes that made your life? What about the trips? How you booked them? Where you went? What you did? What about. In the age of the most involved parents of all time, which I think is what we got right here and now. And the legacy of sort of bettering up, right? Which is what our culture is. American culture is the culture of bettering up. That's how my parents always used to put it. Simple people. You know what I mean? You better up. One generation does better than the next. And in understanding that the American family is the most powerful unit on the planet, right? Nothing can drive this entire world forward like the prosperity of American families. There's nothing. Nothing that can even equate that, right? So in the spirit of all of that, I said to myself, you know, I want to create a book for families. I want to write it. I want to write it with families. One-on-one. You know what I mean? Bring me the information. Be it digital or be it physical, whatever. Mail it to me, I'll mail it back. Email it to me and I'll delete it or whatever. And I started thinking, you know, these are things that should be created. A hard copy, hard cover, history. And all the important things, the things that dad built. The cool bunk beds that were built by dad with the hidey hole in the bottom or whatever. Your story, your processes, your procedures, your traditions, your recipes, your life rhythm needs to be captured. It needs to be captured and shared with the generation to come. And we need that now more than ever, man. Because if you like me, you're in a position to probably lose a lot of story and a lot of history. If some cloud service says, we don't want to do business with you anymore, or we're going out of business, or if some cloud service gets completely destroyed by artificial intelligence, right? I know that so many people have just legion of photographs stored on some cloud somewhere from their cell phones auto-upload. And then one day you wake up and find out that they're all gone because the whole cloud was destroyed by an artificial intelligence hacker. It was held hostage to the point where the company decided, you know what, screw it. We're abandoning ship. Or they can't access it anymore. And then what? You lose all that. probably keep all kinds of information digitally the digital thing is not stable guys it's not stable you know what i mean it is no longer stable artificial intelligence has it was already unstable just on the basis of hacking and so on but with artificial intelligence i really do believe like the digital world is unstable i feel like my my podcast network is at risk every day i wake up you know and i'm trying to figure out how we how we do this without the internet So it occurred to me, I said, like, every family in America needs this. They need their own codex. They need a book that opens up on page one, explains, you know, the family name and maybe its origin. The code of arms, right? The sort of motto and the ethos of the family. They need a book that they can pass down generation to generation. They need a book that family members can look to in hard times. Family can look to in good times. Family can look to in any times. A family can look to and say, hey, mom used to make that meatloaf, man. How did she make that meatloaf so good? What was the secret? Mom used to make that potato salad. My mother made this potato salad. It was unbelievable, you know. My mother was an amazing cook. And she's dead. She's gone. You know what I mean, there's a myriad of recipes I'll never know, because we never captured them, you know what I mean, and she was incredible, and she tried at it, you know what I mean, she tried at it several times, I'm gonna write all my recipes down on cards, I'm gonna write them all down on paper, I'm gonna write them all down, you know, and just never got it done, because, I don't know, this is it, you know, it's like I always say with prepping, right, like I always say with prepping, um, You can do it, but will you do it? Right? You have the history. You have the recipes. You have the stories. You have the images. You have the processes. You have the builds in your head. You have the traditions in your memory. You can put them all into one hard copy book that you pass down from generation to generation. But will you? And I'm not saying that to cajole you into hiring me to write a book for you. I'm saying it out of a dream that just popped into my head yesterday, which was that all American families, and I couldn't do it. I couldn't make this dream come true alone, so I need other people. But that American family started in the same way we used to have, like, encyclopedias, in the same way that we used to pass down books to generations ago. You know, my father used to have this weird tan and red book set that was all about tools and repair and all that kind of, I don't know what happened to it, but I don't have it. He doesn't have it. Nobody got it. But in the way that we used to pass those things down or in the way that some people do pass those things down, like we need a solid history of the family. A solid history of the family that contains all of the things I mentioned. Everything down to the very rhythm of life, right? How did we do dinner? How did we do homework? How did we set the day up? We have so much reference data and so much information about everything. You can ask artificial intelligence anything. But there ain't an artificial intelligence on the planet that I can say, hey, what was the mustard sauce my mother used to put on the flounder? No clue. You know what I mean? So what that means, just like Mark Zuckerberg taught us, what that means is that your data is still the most valuable thing in the world. And it's data that's disappearing every day because parents are dying, right? Generations are dying. Big, big, big generations passing away. Aunts, uncles, big families passing. We got to capture that information now. Right. We got to find out that lineage now. We got to find out those things. Where do we remember when we used to go visit my mom? Where did we used to stop and eat? What was that place called? Is it still open? Right. All this stuff, man. You put your preparedness information into a book like. This, too. Right. You can't. I don't I don't think you could put details. You still need an emergency binder, but you could you could put information into a situation like this, into a codex, into the Walton family codex, hardback case wrapped cover. Right. Color pages, maybe. I don't know. I want to write your family codex. I want to write a family codex for everybody in the country. The idea just hit me. I outlined a typical codex yesterday and what I think it should look like, what I think it should include. But I also understand that if we're going to do this thing right, it's not going to be cookie cutter, right? If we're going to build out a family codex, then I'll present you with an outline and then we'll talk about it and we'll build out something perfect that covers everything, right? Because maybe you're a hunter, maybe you're a fisherman, you want a whole outdoor section. Outdoor stories. Whatever. You know what I mean? This becomes your book. This is the book that every family should write in America. This is the book that... This is the thing that everyone should have to hand to the next generation. I don't know where it came from. Well, I do know where it came from, actually. I'll tell you the story of where it came from. I got an email from the publisher yesterday for my new book. And... They took the... The chicken feeder that I built, not built like it's not really that hard of a build, but it's a five gallon chicken feeder with spouts on it. It's not anything incredible, right? Takes, I don't know, 15 minutes to build probably. But it's amazing. It's effective. You know what i mean yeah i went that way with it and i never looked back i've used one ever that way ever since you can hold all kinds of food it's waterproof the chickens you know can eat and eat and eat and eat all the time on it but i looked at the build in the illustration of the build and i said to myself I can hand this down to my kids, this preparedness book now, and they'll be able to say, dad had that awesome chicken feeder. How did he build that? What was that? You remember it? I kind of remember it. I kind of don't remember it. Turn to page 15 and there it is. There it sits. There it exists to be shared. And I remember feeling like this real sense of happiness about that. It's like, this is the first time that I've, taken a singular build something that i've created that has been a part of my kids life for years that they may one day need and it is now committed to publication it's in the page it's in a page right and then i said like okay let's expand that idea let's expand the thought on that one right what does that look like bigger and better Well, Bigger and Better is an entire book of this stuff, an entire book of where we used to go to get pumpkins. Where did we used to go to get apples? Where did we used to go to? How did we used to book the vacation in the Outer Banks? I don't know. Anything like that. Any and all traditions. What were the movies we used to watch in the Christmas season, right? What were the games we used to play at our Grinch parties? You know what I mean? Capture all this sort of tradition stuff. And then I started thinking about builds. I started thinking about recipes. I started thinking about legacy. Right? The legacy is a huge one. I started thinking about movies and poetry and books. And what should the family read? What should people in our family read? What's required reading in the family? Right? I started thinking about all these things, man. What did life look like? What was the day in the life? What did that look like? What did a day in the life look like? What were the big issues of our time, right? What were the big sort of stories and issues of our time? What were the best family trips? What were the best family moments? What were the milestones? You know, what did our son do that was amazing? What did our daughter do that was amazing? What did mom achieve in her career that was incredible? What did dad do? And then, of course, you tie in the lineage and you tie in the story, right? You tie in how did mom and dad meet, right? Where did they get married? What were the things that they enjoyed doing? How about mama and papa? How about mama and papi? How did these folks meet? What was their background? Where did they come from? I envision your sort of family motto and all that kind of stuff, coat of arms at the front pages of the book. And then flow directly into story. History. Family history and story. You know what I mean? So that you can open that book up directly and reminisce. And then to go into recipe. And then to go into skill, process, so on and so forth. Really building these things out unique to each family. So that you receive this hardback cover beautiful book. That has your fingerprints all over it. Largely, I compile it, compile the information, fill in some blanks, and get it all built out for you. Yeah, I just think of a country like that. I think that there is nothing, PBM family. Family. Family. Sorry, I'm all stuffy. I think there's nothing that I could do that could have more of an effect on this country than build these things out. You know what I mean? Really. Longstanding. Right? There's no doubt that PBN has had its effect. But this is a bigger one than that even. Right? In terms of efficacy. In terms of blast radius. In terms of, you know, really strengthening the American family over time. Because I'm telling you right now, we are moving into an age... Where everything from one hack could be forgotten. All your social media pictures, posts, all the big accolades, everything that you've achieved and done has largely been captured digitally. Right? So much of what we've done and what we've achieved and what we've created has been captured digitally. And should that digital world be held ransom or go away completely? I mean, do you know your great-grandmother's middle name? Do you even laugh at that question? Who cares? You know what I mean? Well, generations of people cared. Right? Lineage is so important and has been so important that it's the worst part of the Bible. But at the time, it was probably one of the most important parts of the Bible. Second to explaining the literal word of God and the law of God was explaining the lineages of people in the Bible. Because the lineage of people is important. It's proof. I don't know if this sets you afire the way it sets me afire, but reach out to me, intrepidcommander at proton.me. If you want to be one of the first people to work on this together, if you want to bring something like this to life for the holidays, I can't think of a better gift. I mean, there may not be a better gift for a person in your family, particularly, you know, like a... Oh, God. If I could give this to my mother, I mean, she would have lost her mind. You know, if I could have been shady and gathered all her recipe and I could have, I could have just said, yeah, I'm writing a cookbook about you, mom. And if I could hand this to my parents right now, the Walton family codex, you know, and have them read the stories that they told me growing up and, you know, slowly work their way through the lineage. And, oh, I forgot about that and this and that and this. Oh, and I remember when we used to do this. You know, I even think it would be cool to have a properties section where you just go over the house, the homes and the memories of the living situations that you experienced growing up. Whether that was one home that meant everything or if you had a home and lost a home and lived in an RV and got a house and whatever. Whatever that situation was, right? Where did we live and what was that like? Up and through the generations, you know? And then, of course, to tie in, you know, I am going to build one out for my own family. I have to. But to tie in things like our book would have to have a fly tying section because this was a skill that was passed down from my father to me. There were patterns that we tied that were incredibly effective. We probably have an entire fishing section to be honest. I have no clue guys right now the size of something like this And like I said, everyone will be unique to some degree. But everyone will be the most, most unique and the most you, the most personal, the most, I mean, incredible gift I think that you could give anybody. And that's one of the reasons I'm bringing it up now. And instead of polishing this idea and writing my own, and ideally I'd write my own and show it off. But I don't want to come to you in November, mid-November and say, hey, I need you to send me blank, blankety, blank, blank. I need you to fill out the following forms, right? I'm sure once I sit down and start to figure this out, there'll probably be a collection of forms that I create and send off to you that you fill out. And I'm going to encourage this. This is what I'm going to encourage. I'm going to encourage that we do this via mail. You mail me the forms. I'll mail you the forms, right? Well, actually, you could print the forms, fill the forms out, pen or pencil, mail them back to me. Not that we can't do it digital, but this whole process, this whole thing can largely exist outside of the digital world. This whole process can exist in the flesh and blood world, right? And then remember, like, your story doesn't even have to exist on the internet. Though I probably will send you a PDF copy, right? I will create the book digitally because I'm obviously, right, not writing it by hand. But I'll send you a PDF so that you'll always be able to reprint it should you want to reprint it, should something get damaged, that kind of thing. Your family codex, folks. Think about it. IntrepidCommander at Proton.me. If you hear this and you're giddy, if you hear this and you're like, I want to do this, listen. We can make it happen. I'm not going to make it cost an arm and a leg. I'm going to cost it out on an hourly rate. And figure out how I want everybody to have one. You know what I mean? I don't want to go to the doctors and the lawyers in the crowd and say five thousand dollars for your family codex. I could. And I know people who would pay it. You know what I mean? But I want to make sure that everybody can get a shot. Because every family needs one. You know what I mean? alright folks I feel like crap I'm going to uh go drink some vitamin C high doses maybe fall asleep on the couch I got work to do though so I don't know how much time I have to do all that I will talk to you soon folks spread the word about PBN appreciate everything you guys do man and uh Get your survival scripts, man.
