Maria's Goldenrod, SkyCOM POC Radios, and NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH

Alright, PBN family, the dust is officially settled. And the cool thing about the dust having settled is that we still got half a year almost. And when I say the dust is settled, I mean I made it through some lofty things that I wanted to pull off that took a lot of my focus and attention, one of the biggest of course, being Prepper Camp. And now it's time to get back to the work. It's time to get back to the daily grind that I love so much. Here I am Monday. And you know, if you think I'm joking when I tell you I love Monday, I truly love Monday. I really love it. I mean it's I love it. I love getting in front of the computer and starting up the machine, praying to the machine God and starting up the machine that is the Prepper Broadcasting Network. Today, we have a Firesider Recipe episode that I've played. I've played it a lot of times. Guys. You know, sometimes content is great, and I've come to the conclusion that, like you know, maybe there is seasonal content on Prepper Broadcasting Network, like seriously, seasonal reruns, just like any other network, Like there may be seasonal content on PBN that's like, okay, it's false. It's time to play. Just like we do in the fourth of July. We play our Fourth of July special every fourth of July, so it's just seasonal content. The Firesider episode by Sam Kaufman from The Human Path a man who I have to get back in content at with a guy who really I don't know, there's just something about the dude. I always love this show. It just should be played this time of year. You know, it's it's end of August. It's time you got time to put together your firesider and we got hit a little bit with some alogies. I want to give a shout out to Maria Jones and her incredible tincture. Okay, she because the Jones is are, you know, just amazing people. They I mean, they're just amazing. That's description amazing people. I don't know how else I could sit down here and do a breakdown of like all the qualities, you know, but it just is what it is. So because they're amazing people. We're all suffering through prepper camp and all that kind of stuff, and Maria tells me to take one of these tinctures home that she's made, and you know my house. I know what's coming. You know what I mean, we all get I don't really get them, but we I I get them for like thirty seconds. But in the fall in Richmond, Virginia, it's pretty common to get seasonal allergies and that kind of thing. It's also the first week of school, and usually a cold or head cold comes home or well it's probably like the second week of school now for my youngest, in the first week for my oldest, but a head cold usually comes home along with that first week of school. And I said, you know what, let me I'll take the golden rod home, right, I'll take the golden rod home. And here's the proof in the pudding. Okay, I know. I was talking about this with Dandy Lion last week, about the fact that the earth grows cures for things. I'm always talking about this fact that we've forgotten so much, the one hundred and fifty year amnesia, the one hundred year am nize, all of the aboves. That's a dead guy. What's going on over here? Just driving through Richmond and dead bodies. I think he was working on his car, so cleaning it out. I wasn't moving a lot. You need some golden rod tincture from from from Maria's botanicals. But anyway, here's what I did. Maria, you can you can scold me if you'd like. So when I was when my kids were little, I'd give them core ingredients all the time, and some they would like and some they wouldn't. But my oldest always loved just olive oil. We would just take like little tea spoons of olive oil together because I used to just when I was a chef, I was always tasting olive oils. I was always trying to find the most affordable and flavorful olive oils. Actually, there was a point where my whole kitchen windowsill was covered in different olive oil bottles. That was a good look. Maybe I'll do that again. But anyhow, like another thing we'd do is taste different honeys together. You know, my old my youngest never really big fan of honey. My old oldest, he always loved honey. And when I heard about I don't know he was. It doesn't matter, the timeline doesn't matter. But there was a time when I learned about the value of eating local honey for your seasonal allergies. Right like eat the honey that comes from the bees, that come from the that get the pollen from the local flowers. I don't know if that's worked for me, and that's why I don't get seasonal allergies. But I eat. I've been eating a lot more honey right now. I've been eating a lot more. I call it biblical foods. I don't know. I'm building the ages up, I'm building the armor up. And this is just another thing that I do. If you're interested in that sort of biblical foods concept. It's not too groundbreaking, right, It's really just a whole foods kind of diet. But it's a lot of the foods that are mentioned in the Bible. And but honey, for some reason, I don't know what it is. Honey for some reason to me, just there's something special there, you know, there really is. And I don't know. Maybe twenty twenty seven will start, but I think the kids are old enough now I think we're at the point where maybe we can have ourselves a little hive, you know what I mean. I've always wanted. I mean, I've always wanted to make my own honey. Made a lot of my own things in this life, you know what I mean, all the way down to like growing mushrooms from inoculated tree stumps. Never messed with honey, So that could be in the future. But frankly, I gave my son a literally like I think, I gave him twelve drops. The bottle called for twenty drops Golden Rod tincture, and I didn't know he's never had it, you know what I mean. So for me, my thing is always like allergies. We're not really allergic to things. And I'm not talking about seasonal allergies. I'm talking about close your throat and die allergies. Right, So I said, you know what, let's give them to ten drops and then we'll go from there and see how it works. If there's results, no results, some results, whatever. I gave him twelve drops because you know, he's bigger than me. Now. My son's taller than me now, so I said, let's give him twelve drops. If nothing crazy happens, we can always give him another ten. And what I did is I took it. I put the twelve drops in a tablespoon and then I filled the tablespoon the rest of the way with honey. Because you know, I don't know if you've ever taken tinctures. They taste like medicine, you know what I mean. They don't taste like bubblegum. They taste like you know what I mean. They're the tonic, and they taste like medicine, and that's what they are. It worked immediately, I mean instantly. It was crazy. The whole day he was talking. I even took an allergy pill, like early in the morning. He was just like, let me just take an allergy pill. I know he'll never take an allergy pill again now because that worked so fast and was so effective. It was unbelievable. So get your hands on some of Maria's tinctures, man, email Dave Jones. Get that Golden Rod tincture. All I could tell you it works. Okay, she makes another pearl pearl tink. It's not a pearl tincture, it's a pearl something cream for your eyes works. She gave me a wild lettuce that works tincture for pain. I don't have a lot of pain, but I went through the thing with the finger and it helped. The thing with the finger, man, the finger is Uh, it's pretty much back to normal. I gotta go rescue my tire. Someone drug it all the way across the field and left it there. And what's gonna happen next. I've seen this happen in years past. What's gonna happen next is somebody's to bring a truck down and take it to get it off the field for school. Not good. So I gotta go get that thing and wheel it back into hiding. And I think I'm ready. There's a little fear. There's a little you know, you know how it like when you get injured from doing something. How there's a little fear. It's like, oh, it could happen again, and then I'm back to square one. But it's got to happen. We gotta get it done. We got to return back to form. It's almost three months now, right was it July first? It was right before July fourth. Oh, so it's only been an a month in almost two months, you know, I think we need a new political party. In the United States. I propose the Democrat Party. I propose we have a Democrat Party as a third party, because it's very clear. That's the laugh line of the day, because it's very clear to me that the Democrat Party party is dead and gone. It's gone, it's off the face of the earth, doesn't exist. The Bill Clinton Democrat Party is gone. Shit, the Barack Obama, the Democrat Party is gone. I'm talking, you know, two thousand and eight gone history. Wrap your head around that for a minute, right, gone. It's hard to believe, but it is what it is. We need you back, Democrats. We do, we do all the time America has been crying about a third party. Here it is. It's here. The third party's here. It's the Progressive Communist Party. They're here. The Communists of America have arrived. It's the Communist It's the commun know Islamo Party, you know what I mean. They've literally risen to power on making you feel bad, feel bad for you know, things you've never done, feel bad for a certain group of people, feel bad for this, feel bad for that. And if you don't feel bad enough, it's punishable by death. If you don't feel bad enough, then it's it's punishable by some lunatic. So yeah, where did Democrats go? That's what I want to know. Where do they all go? Do you know what I mean? Like ten years ago, fifteen years ago, there were Democrats? Were there? Did they all die off? Were they all like like like baby boomer age and are all dead? All the democramic sense Democrats are dead? Did they move to Libertarian Party? Did they vote for Trump and say it's we're doomed? I mean because one of the core talking points of Democrats in the early years of my life was border security. You know, border security was a thing under Clinton, it was a thing under Obama, it was you know, it was a thing, or at least it was part of his act in the beginning. And you know, he brought up about the big the big change, There's no doubt about it. But anyway, I'm opining for a return of the Democratic Party truly. Yeah, it's real. It's crazy. I think I learned it first from from Sarah Hathaway. Actually, when she was telling us about the lightning storms. She said that there was the sun was so active at one point that it would just rain lightning on the world and the natives, the Native Americans or the natives of South America, some native group had a word for it, and it was just that the word meant raining lightning, and that's its nuts. Man can you imagine, you know, everything's on fire. If we had that level of lightning, everything would be on fire. You know, everything's on fire and it's raining lightning, and you're going, uhh, step two, What do we do next? You know what I mean? Wild? Wild? What we humans have survived and here we are trying to figure out how to survive you know, three ninety nine gas a bit, you know what I mean? We could be using pickaxe as the tunnel down into our backyards and trying to figure out how to raise food underground with no sunlight. It's crazy, man, But the floor legium. They're ready to usher in the end times. They look at a nuke in Iran, probably like the beginning of the nuclear volley that brings about this apocalypse again. They're all after anyway, You're not dealing with real people, you know what I mean. You're dealing with some form of mental gymnastics that's being attempted in the name of some religion, and the most extreme version of that religion, the most dangerous version of that religion, you know. I laughed. I found it pretty interesting. A lot of talk going around about people in Trump's administration and the Republican Party who are in a similar Christian version of the ideology. Right, like everything's falling apart. Let's bring about the end time so that Jesus will return, as if it's a button we push, you know what I mean, As if that's some kind of button that humanity could push. I'll just burn everything down and then Jesus will show up, the second coming of God in the flesh will return to the earth because we've screwed up so severely. No, I don't think that's how that works. Look, I'm not privy to the inner workings of the universe, but something tells me that Jesus return is not incumbent on a little nuclear button that we press. No, I think we would probably wallow in our radiated filth for a while and then go oh, it didn't work and I have to deal with that subsequently. Uh, skycom Ptt, folks, I'm going to introduce you to a new radio today today, maybe not today, probably not today. I'm going to introduce you to a new radio very soon and a new radio company. And no, I did not come up with it. I did not figure it out. I don't know anything. I'm basically, uh, I'm basically like an android or a droid of some kind who is just programmed by Chin to buy this radio and use this radio. Okay, that's what I do. But we're going to develop a relationship with Skycomptt because they what they created is a Preppers Nash network. Okay, what they created is the bones of an emergency comms group that I've been trying to start here for a long time, right, and we're going to utilize those bones. It's a it's a POC group, right. So it's a POC group that gives us the ability to push to talk emergency. It's pushed to talk emergency comms on a giant prep or network that we can check in on on a regular basis. I'd like to do a month to month basis. I'd like to get back to the continuity and get back to the monthly comms check ins. But I want to get everyone outfitted with a couple of ways to do that. I think that we should triumphantly plan. I know I've done this in the past, and I apologize, but we should triumphantly plan to meet at the end of National Preparedness Month. Or should we try a weekly a weekly comms check all through. Yeah, that's what we're gonna do. We're gonna do an end of week Sunday night comms check and it's very quick, simple r s W fire out there. If you're listening to me, I'm gonna try. I'm gonna check my own pock link and see if I can access that radio net we may be able to with our standard pock link radios. If we can't, then I'm gonna introduce you to the pock links that are available from Skycom, dot ptt Okay. And I got my hands on one. I got my hands on the one that Chin wanted me to get my hands on, which was the Pocklink radio with GMRS combo. Okay, the pocklink GMRS combo. I think if you know even a little bit about radios, you understand why. Okay, my my gear, my equipment now is based around largely around GMRS. You know what I mean. We have some we have some mesh my my true passion and what I really like most with emergency comms is the pock link I really do. I mean, I I well, here's the thing. When was the last time all the cell phones were down? You know what I mean? I know, I know we're all worried about that one big terrible event right where things go completely south and everything falls apart, and you should be prepared for that too, you know, And maybe that's what meshtastic is all about. That's definitely what GMRS is about. But all that said, like for situations where you want to get a hold of somebody quickly, and those pock link radios, man, they're hard to beat, you know what I mean, those pock links that use a variety of cellular service providers. So it's not just one. It's not like my pock uses Sprint like pocklingk technology bounces around on all providers, right, So in other words, you wake up like your kid had a sleepover. You wake up and find here's a situation that could actually happen your kids in college, or how to slew your wife's travel and whatever the situation is you're traveling. You get in a situation where you wake up and realize, my cell phone carrier has been hacked. How likely do you think this is to happen? Right? My primary cell phone carrier has been hacked. Now I cannot reach my family member that I need to reach. Well, the combat for that, And the thing that I like most about the pock link is it goes from oh my god, what do I do? And what do they do? To a push button solution. Right, a push button solution, you can go, Okay, hey I think the phones are messed up. Yeah, my phone's not working either. Okay, well, no worries, get back to me if anything changes or if anything gets crazy, and you just you know, it's like a walkie talkie push button, you're talking to them.
