Was our PBM family was still here on retail road day three Trapper Camp. Everyone has got the added bonus of losing about ten pounds of water weight on top of all. The great information they got from Prepper Camp. And I'm here with Mike from skycomp Pett to talk comms. How you doing, Mike, I'm doing good. How you're holding up in the heat. You're a nice fan for the job. Yeah, that's a good fan man. That thing helps. Yeah that that is a tractor supply. Yeah. Yeah. You could charge people to come back here and enjoy that day. There you go. So what you guys got here at Skycom And it was kind of the motivation of entering a market that you know, it's a big market these days at the comms market, a lot of guys doing a lot of different things. What sends Skycom apart? Well, first let me think thank you for having us on this afternoon, my treasure. I retired from the State of Tennessee. I was the emergency communications manager. Oh you are the man for the job, Okay, yeah, definitely. When I retired, I was one of these people that had to be running Mark three with my hair on fire all the time. So retirement didn't fit into the profile, okay, and I had an opportunity. Somebody showed me a pair of radios from one of our competitors, and I thought, this is cool. I got to have a pair of botes. So we got them. And uh, of course, like everybody, when you first have a programmed up, you think, oh I should have changed that, you. Know, yep, uh huh. So I called him and I was on the phone for two and a half hours, right, And I said, there's got to be a better way to do this. So when they answered the phone, they acted like it was an inconvenience to help me. No service, not this day and age. There you go. Uh, at least you got a person. Yeah, I got after two and a half hours. Yeah. So I said, there's got to be a better way. So I started this journey to find manufacturers that manufacture the POC radios, which stands push to Talk over sailor. Once I made the connection with the two companies, I said, Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna do this on my own on the foundation. The company is built on the foundation of customer service. That's a beautiful thing, and all good companies are right that's right. And in our our philosophy is the customer is always right even when they're wrong. Okay, that's old old adage. But works. Yeah, it works, it really does. So I called Rick Austin back in April we found out about Prepper Camp and I called him and said, hey, I'd like to come to Prepper Camp and he said, what do you do? We called him and he said, oh wow. He said, could you connect set up a system where preppers could connect with each other nationwide? I said, yeah, but I need to look at what it's going to cost to do that before I can can that. It does. So, uh. Back in July we completed, we put the system together, the platform. I called and told you we've got this put together. I want you all to kiss it and see what you think. They used it for about three weeks. He come back and he says, okay, now, what's this gonna cost the preppers? I said, nothing, It's gonna be free ninety nine okay. Who So, uh, we're going to write we're underwriting the cost of that platform for the Preppers network. Okay, wow, So. Excuse me. The the heat and Pallen's getting to me understood. So what we did. We created the the Preppers Network Preppers National Radio Network is what it's called. We've got the Preppers National Talk Group Beautiful. We've got the Preppers International Talk Group. Wow. We've got the Preppers National Alert Talk Group. Yeah. I love that. And of course there's an administrative talk group for the administrators of the program. And then we've got skycom PTT service. So if you get one of these radios and you put the Preppers Network on it, you have a problem, go to the uh that talk group called or hey, Skykom service and somebody's going to entery and help you. Wow, customer service. Sure. So we divided the country into ten regions and put group of states together in those regions. So if you get the Preppers Network, it's only available through skycomb PTT Beautiful. You can't buy x y Z radio and get and access it and access it. That is correct. So what happens if you want to get on this Preppers National Radio Network. You'll get the national talk groups, You'll get the region that you live in and the state that you live in. Ah So, yeah, I like it. Where is North Carolina? Where's North Carolina? I don't know. Somebody said it was hot there. Oh here we go in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky. Okay, yeah, nice, Yeah, I love it. Man. We were trying to build something similar through. Hockeling radio, but I think I think you guys, have you did the footwork for us, we may. Have to go this route instead for our listeners. Well, this is uh proprietary information. Yeah, it's uh. The the idea is intellectual property. That is. So it's a good move. It's a good move. So basically, just to make it simple, you get a Skycolm, it has to be one of your part models I'm assuming, right, and then you can you can meet up with people with those part radios and in the Preppers National Group. In your region and in your state. Okay, So if you wanted to do something like a communications check in monthly, we're gonna do our comms check in for region one this day, you know, bingo and knock it out right there. Chin's been talking to me about doing a radio ND oh yeah, and do it nationwide for all the prep Yeah. Yeah, we being on that definitely. We're working putting that together. Beautiful, beautiful, very cool man. That's amazing. So outside of pots as cool as they are. We got the listeners who are just straight up radio guys. You guys got other stuff too. Yes, we carry the Retieves brand of GMRIS radios. Okay, good, good company. I have a I have a GMRS base station by them, great product. We also carry their GMRS repeaters, the one. Oh yeah, yeah, of course you do. If you know Gin you do. He's been throwing me pictures of those things for a year straight. I'd say, yeah, I know. He keeps asking you got an extrement land. I know he does. Yeah, I can take a show and I said, get you some, get your a couple of appointments and I'll send you. One over there. Yeah yeah, so uh but yeah, we also carry the Icon brand of radios. We carry their They also have POC radios. Oh okay, but they don't have access to this. No, they don't have because they're with one carrier. And yeah, we use a universal SIM card that allows us to work with most carriers, all three national carriers and one hundred and fifty regional carriers. Okay, so, but we do carry the Icon POC radios, their satellite radios, their marine radios. Gotcha. So there, So it's a good hub for all things comms, not just poppling radios. That's a beautiful thing. Man. Well, we'll be hearing more about skycom PTTPBN family in the days and weeks to come. I want to thank you Mike for giving us to the big high overview of what's what with with what you guys are doing. I love the idea. It's awesome. I mean I can think of a million ways PBM could use it for sure. So thank you so much, Bud. We hope you had a great weekend. Yeah you too. Thanks, Yes, sir, we'll see you see it
