You're listening to pay the end. If you were paying us back, just to be ready here. Well, hello everyone out there on the internet radio land. This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy, and we have a special prep up with the Joneses tonight. I just did that and the camera went kafluey. I have questions from listeners that we're going to answer live on the air. So let's see. Let me get this right. Marie will kill me because there's all kinds of junk in the background, but that's the way it goes. We have too many things going on here to Jonstead to worry about a little mess. Uh. And the Intrepid Commander is going to join me because he has all the questions in hand. James, are you there. Here? I am thank you for having me Dave like match up to Joneses. Uh. Yeah, well, I as you know, because you were the one I was talking to in the back channel. We were talking about Prepper TV, which was something we thought about like four years ago, and I started going back through all my files and stuff and realized I had prepping up with the Joneses as an email. I have a domain, I have a YouTube channel, and I said, you know what, I know, I'm I'm just gonna do this and see what happens. So YouTube channels are actually valuable right now because I can't start a YouTube channel unless I really go under the radar. They've put a new rule in place now, that is what's the word. They keep telling me, I'm not allowed to start new YouTube channels. So you'll start a new one. And it's me and my email and my phone and they're like nope. So wow, you've been for life. Then I don't understand it. I'd never I can't wrap my head around it. You know, you and Chin Chin's been banned from Discord for life. Oh that's right. Yeah, yeah, welcome to the club. Yeah. Well, and I probably won't survive there long. Yeah. I mean, I don't know, but you know, just I don't know. I think we got put on the hit list. I think my particular profile got put on the hit list during the oppressive Biden era and when censorship was max because of COVID, and then once we got marked, I think we were done. I think it was just a matter of time and we were the platformed before we realized it, you know. So yeah, here's what it is. Yeah. So you know, we're live on kick right now, which is new. So we're over there on Kick, which is the better than Discord version of No, the better than Twitch version of Twitch, which is a streamer site. And uh yeah, we'll see what happens over there. I guess I gotta figure all this stuff out. See, I just never never had to before. You did all the work and I just plugged and played and that was it. Well, the good news is you got me. I'm right here, so. Yes, yes, Well I'm not going to questions. Huh yeah. One of the things that you know it we loved that you were teaching, and we loved that things were going going well for you there, but we knew we weren't going to get as much of you. So now that you're done with that, it's great. We know Dave's back. Dave is, Yeah, we got I guess. Uh, you know. I can't un alive chickens on YouTube, either, can I? Yeah? I don't know about that. That might get rabbits, can I can I I wonder if I can just show the carcasses. You know, this is after they're unlived. Don't worry about it. Well, I don't think Yeah, we'll talk about it another time, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. They are bright things coming and uh yeah, I don't know how to be honest with you. I don't know how long lived YouTube is going to be anyway. You know, my kids are so disenfranchised with ads on YouTube. It's unbelievable. It's it's it's what's it's terrible because I don't know if David's like this, He's about their age. But they entered this crazy digital world ad free. Everything was free. Phone apps were completely free, video games you could get for free, watch all the YouTube you want for hours free, no ads, and now everything has ads again. Yeah, even PBN. It's just weird. It's weird to come up. Like you know, when you were watching TV when you were young, you were like, oh, well, you know, the commercial time is years, so we've got to watch those bullshit commercials. But hey, you go to the bathroom or grab something to eat, or you know, you did stuff. That's why they always boosted the volume during commercials. What do you think is the deal, David? The profit hunting. It seems like everything is overpriced and every company is just doing everything they can to make more money all the time. Consequences and audiences and customers be damned. Well well yeah, I mean it's a lot of it. But uh, you know you used to you used to have more options, well not not really more options, like you could sell advertising in a newspaper, okay, and the newspaper was the thing that got you know, ads and stuff out there and coupons and things like that. Stuff. Yeah, now that's dead. So all of that that was has to go somewhere else. Yep, mailings dead. Yep, mail used to be huge. I remember. Oh yeah, mailers, flyers, catalogs, all that kind of stuff. Yeah, it's a good point. I still have the same uh one hundred stamps that I bought a costco because they don't they just say do you want do you want stamps? And you're thinking a twenty dollars book, they give you one hundred stamps. So I have them for like four years. And I do Christmas cards, although we we've been lax these past couple of years on Christmas cards, but I still have those hundred stamps. Yeah. We threatened Christmas cards every year. We never do it. We're like, let's take pictures and send them out and all ye. Never yeah, wait for Rick have Rick is always the first he he always yeah. And then I have a a friend that's a two star general retired in Pennsylvania, and he probably wonders, oh, Dave's probably dead. Well, probably did he know you when you had children and everything? No, as a matter of fact, you would rock. In the world if you send him in a card. With what I did. I did. Oh, okay, yeah, he knows all that, but I don't think he's ever met Maria. He knew my former wife who has since passed away. Oh, I don't know. Yeah, when you get to be my age, that's that's what happens. Lots of books start closing with a thud. Yeah. Yeah. So let's get to these questions, man, Yeah. Do you want to start with the uh, well, start at the top. Yeah, why not. Let's start at the top. We got question one. Do either of you have a brand of Faraday bag or laptop and smaller items or for laptop and smaller items that you've personally used and felt confident in equality. This question is because the the case longtime PB member Lifetimer wants to keep one in his vehicle with an extra HT radio and other small items to stay in the van, and a high frequency radio and other gear, antenna, test meter and so on, so a lot of electronics in the vehicle. Worried about EMP, asking about brands and such. Yes, now I do not have a brand, and I have very few of the bags I have. The reason I'm looking over here is because I know there's one in that drawer. But I don't believe I didn't breathwatch and go grab mine. Yeah. So the reason I don't is because of the way e MP is so hit and miss. I could never justify the expense for those things because you know, you just it may not work. It may work, they do fail, they will get holes in them. So my answer to that is, if you're gonna do something like that, leave the radio in the box and wrap it with aluminum foil. And then tape. Yeah, and then take that aluminum foil tape that metal duct tape and wrap that because that's really super sturdy and will hold up a lot better and that will be your protection, you know. And if you're going to do the laptop thing, I'm assuming that you're going to pull it in and out and in and out, So then do the laptop thing with a bag and just know that it may work, it may not work. Yeah, yeah, that's a good call. A few years back, we did a sponsorship at PBM with a company called SLNT and they are they're still in business, and uh we sold a lot of their stuff to appreciate that PBON family. They made some money, which was good. Yeah they are good. Yeah, they stuff. Yeah. If I had one to recommend, I would have recommended them because they The bag that I was pointing to is one that they gave me to to test out. Oh good, good, Yeah, and it works and it has not failed. And uh you know it's it's one of the phone type phone type ones. Stick it in there. There's a PROPERI that's. A good one. My old cell phones. Okay, put one away because they they will still do emergency calls. Yeah, they do a lot of things don't work with the GPS and that kind of stuff with Wi Fi star Link. If you have it star Link in an old phone, you can get a lot done. You throw it in a fair day contake cage type. But what I would recommend for that situation is the U is an EMP dry bag doesn't have to be from SLNT, but it can be they make a good one. That's where I have a at least one bio fang right now, and that's where I keep a GMRS base station by Red of Hiss too. I think it's the RA twenty five, a couple Red of his walkies just for backup, you know what I mean, Like everything else doesn't work, So we'll see if the EMP killed these two. And the reason I think the dry bag is exceptional if you really want EMP protection is because we when I met the guys from Faraday Containers, they were the first people to tell me, you remember them from Prepper Camp last year. They're giant twenty foot containers that are EMP proofed, decked out. I mean, we saw him amazing. They were the first ones to tell me, hey, take your little like you have the SLNT bag, tilt it up in the sun and look at it. And if you see light, a pinhole light coming through, then your EMP protection is probably not gonna work. So what that got my head thinking was the dry bag. In order for it to be a dry bag can't let anything in, So it's gonna be designed in a way it's not going to allow pinhole of anything in then you or else it's a failed dry bag, which is step one. If it's an If it's an EMP proof dry bag like the sln T, then now you got another layer of the foil or my lar, whatever the hell they use at the EMP fabric, and you got two layers of protection. Not to mention since Casey's putting it in a vehicle if you have some kind of submersion or something with the vehicle flood and then you got that layer of protection also, So that would be that's my recommendation. Dry bag EMP proof. They sell them, I know sl and T sells them. Mission Darkness might sell them too, but they're good products and like I said, you get that extra layer of protection. Okay, feel good about that? Yeah? Yeah, I think we can. Em because you know, the sun can spew out ejecta and create a e MP for pretty much the entire world, so it's not just for nuclear weapons. Yeah. Well, also with the advent of drones, you know, yeah, you know the I just heard today that the Russians are taking the shah head Iranian shitty drones, taking the propellers off, putting jet engines on the back. Wow. So now in Ukraine, they're using jet engine propelled sh hedgdernes, which instead of traveling like one hundred miles an hour top speed, yeah, things are like four or five hundred miles an hour now, which is gonna be a real problem for the Ukrainians. But my point being, you figure out how to make a nice little micro EMP device, it can mess with a city, mess you know what I mean, and shoot into the city at five hundred miles an hour. Yeah. Yeah. Drone warfare can get get pretty dark pretty quick. Metaphorically, yeah, factually speaking, So something to consider. You never know, and you never know the you know, it is one of those EMP is definitely one of those things. Like you said at the beginning, Dave, if anybody tells you they know one hundred percent what's going to happen, they're full of shit, you know what I mean. So it's right, that's right. There's no way operations, Yeah, there's no way to Yeah, there. I mean, there's too many veryariables. And we've had several situations where we were looking at ex flares and Sarah's blowing up signal chat talking about ye yeah, by the big one and it's happening Tuesday morning at ten am, and we're like, I don't know, everything looks fine. Yeah, oh, you get some static on your radio, you know. I listened to the talk radio and it goes and I'm like, I thought that digital wave that they put out this was back in that. You remember when they changed all the ray radios and they said, yeah, yeah, I thought that was supposed to eliminate all that, but it doesn't. Yeah. Usually, when when large organizations tell you they're changing something and it's going to eliminate a problem, very rarely does the problem ever get eliminated. Yeah. Is the change what they're talking about? So let's talk as TDS. Yeah, I thought that question was It was very interesting. It's something I don't think is I've ever heard brought up. Yeah, you know in the prepper sphere. Uh, but you know, infection's infection, sure, and it can be. Bad ease, it says STDs after whatever collapse. The book Alton's Antibiotics and Infectious Disease, which is a phenomenal book by the way, has some interesting reading on the subject. You know, people that actually stock antibiotics for STDs in addition to what one would normally keep on hand. I do not. Uh, but you know you do. Well, I have too, but I don't stalk them specifically for that because there's there's one thing with that you have to have sex, and since that ain't happening around here, not because I don't want because she controlled all the you know. Actually control the gate of entry. Buddy's great, that old saying. I don't know why they bitch so much because they control half the money and all the pussy. You know, they should be as happy as you know. We're the ones that should be bitching all the time. I know you women pitched so much, right, they don't fart, they don't burp, so if they didn't bitch, they'd explode. Oh well, better out than in, I always say so. So nothing designed specifically for contract you have you who could happen? Well, yeah, eventually. But along with that, I know how to make like penicillin and yeah, and coloidal silver. So yeah, so those those two right there, you know, and I have the yeah. Before we got started and uh, if my wife finds this search, he's gonna have a lot of questions. But before we started to show. You searched it up. I did a little bit of research about what antibiotics are prescribed for STDs and and the reason I did that is because next to me, I have your Kim and Dave Jones. You've got uh yep, I guess I got it your Jay's case. Right. Oh yeah, it's right in the other room in the fridge. This is our this, this is our current antibiotics sponsor, Survival Scripts dot Com. Get your hands on that. That's an awesome. Yeah, they're they're pretty awesome. Uh. Jace came out and they had, you know, the basics, but the Survival Scripts man, they got it all. If we keep doing good for them, I'll send you one. Oh excellent, because they're in their second round of of so we must be working pretty well. But what surprised me was, m damn near everything on this list is in the Ja's case, probably in the Jay's case, definitely in the Survival Scripts case. Right. Oh yeah. So chlamydia first line treatment, doxas cycling alternative is zithromcin. They're both pretty common in these kits. Syphilis penicillin, yeah, metronnic I don't know how to say this one, but it's in my kit for sure. Metronidazzle, Right, that one's in there. Uh, and just a lot of them. A lot of them are treated with a marxacilin also pardon the only one that's well, get too deep into it, but it looks like a basic kit of antibiotics would probably take care of a lot of it, you know what I mean. Yeah, So that scripts kit that you just showed there is the one that I would recommend because it has a wide variety. It has the stuff in there for anthrax, for all of that. It's got for skin infection, really bad skin infection. It's got. What it's got that I haven't seen in most other kids is eye drops, antibiotic eye drops, which you know, you get an eyepole eye or something like that. Man, you got to get an. Eye infection just from you know, having crap on your finger and going like that. And pretty Yeah. Yeah, So those kids man there and valuable. They're invaluable, and they're easy to get your hands on. Now. Used to be we'd have to be shopping online for a freaking you know, door Dora antibiotics. Find antibiotics. Yeah, and you go here, go there, try this guy for this and yeah, it was crazy. Now it's all in one place and and it's top quality. It's none of that fish mocks and all that kind of stuff. Yeah, they're great quality. And then you can talk to the doctors. They send a little booklet for dosage information and stuff. But if you have our great, our other great sponsor to Prepper Medicals handbook, where is it? I use it, so it's not always in on the shelf, but that that one has great information for dosage. Alton's Antibiotics has great dosage information too. If you're going to get into the storage of antibiotics, it definitely helps you sleep better. I can tell you that one had a guy in Ocs. You know, we're out there in the woods doing our thing. A branch, a twig just like scratched his eye and it hurt and hurt and hurt. But you know, you're in a field exercise and you don't want to do anything. It actually caused an eye infection. It scratched his cornea. None of us could see anything. We couldn't tell, but he says, it hurts, it hurts, and you know, we kept going, kept going. Well. Then pretty soon he's he's one eyed pirate guy. Oh man, And of course we joked, he joked about it. But he had the infectious drops and he had to put him in like three times a day. And you know, Doc said, make sure your hands are clean and all this kind of stuff. We helped him because that's what you like it. I like it. You got to be prepared for those things. Man, Imagine you scratch as a gigantic swollen odd and you can't get antibiotics. You can't get to the doctor because you didn't take Hunt the virus vaccine, you know what I mean, Like, yeah, you gotta have backups to the backups man, redundancy. So in the same well, not in the same vein, but in the same bed. We have another question about birth control. Do you know anyone that has stocked up on birth control pills, morning after pills, condoms, baby birthing supply buckets, boxes, DIY abortion kits. But he was joking about that. Yeah, I'll tell you what, I don't have any bait, well not any baby birth I don't have a specific baby birthing bucket situation that that would be a gathering of other things. Don't take birth control, first of all. Don't let your woman take birth control either. That's crazy talk. Yeah, And and I don't know about the morning after pills either. Well that's yeah, that's spontaneous. You take that and within twenty four hours or period starts, So that's a hormonal thing too. Yeah, so you. Know to wrap it up, wrap it up and buy them at Sam's Club. That's my yeah, my go to for the last however many years, if you will. You know, yeah, I mean, it's it's legit question. I mean, do you want to bring up a baby or bring a baby into an apocalyptic setting or you know, it's probably the worst time that you can think of to have a baby. And yeah, I don't have a baby birthing kit either, but I did get one hundred percent on my baby birthing exam when I was in the Trooper Academy. I was very proud of that. Couldn't stand the video though. Wow, I had to get up. I had I had to get up, get in the back of the classroom. You know. I could pull people out of cars, blood squirt and everywhere screaming, no problem. But that baby birthing video, ooh, that that had me about ready to throw up. I'm pretty yeah. I never had trouble with the birthing baby situation. I was surprised. It was like captivating. I don't know why, I just was. But now they were okay, Maria was c section, so they wouldn't let me. They would not let me be on the barrier, so I was I was restricted. Really, I don't know. Oh yeah, yeah, I couldn't. I couldn't see any of that, and probably probably for the better, you know, I don't know. I thought that. And then as it was happening, it was like, it's so surreal. It's you know what's happening. You know the steps, you know how you got there, you know what's gonna you know where the baby's coming out. And then the baby starts coming out, and you're going, there's a human being coming out there right now. I see the hair. You see the hair first, You're like, this is real. Yeah, wow, why I say. I never felt so big and so insignificant all at the same time. I was the flood of emotions. And then Maria's laying there. She's strapped down, you know, because they they strap you down so that you don't jump or move because they're you know, the c section is that got you know, Yeah, and they strapped her arms down. She couldn't move, and I'm all balled up and snot is coming through my mask and everything. And she looks up at me and says, stop crying, bitch. That is Maria. Yeah, that is sure. Yeah, that's yeah. My wife was a just a I mean, I don't know, I've never heard of anyone like her. I just don't know. She was like quick service birth, wow, like drop in Well. I think she played Hockeyr whole life. So maybe she had like a pain tolerance that was above average. Yeah, but we. Would get in that freaking hospital and she'd be having the baby and we'd be done. She'd be done. I think the longest she went was like an hour ten minutes or something like that. Dang, that's amazing. And the second baby was like forty five minutes. Wow, was here we go right that boom donees. So I'm going to do a little shameless plug real quick to answer the help the listeners looker. Yeah. So this is Refuge Medical, great company, bare independent, great dude. And one of the things they sell is birthing buckets, cool birth postpartum buckets, two SEV wound care buckets. They're cool that the wound care bucket. I'm pretty sure is tape, gauze gloves bucketful might be more than that now, but back in the day that was the deal. But yeah, so if you were looking for something like oh, they even got a little birth certificate in there. That's a cool little touch. That is cool. So if you're if you want something like that, you can get it from those guys. They did great work put out great, great products as a solution for that birthing bucket or you know, you could see what the hell's in it and put it together yourself. I guess if we could go that route. They respond everywhere to disasters all over the place, and they've probably birth a few kids during. Maybe when the time comes, it comes. Oh yeah, there's no stopping it. There is weird, right, there is no stopping it. What else do we have here? I think the majority of these are recommendations, right, cash on hand, rocket stove, cheap water storage. Suggestion, Oh I wanted to talk about stoves for a second. Rocket stove outdoor kitchen. That's right, Yeah, yeah, that's definitely great. But one thing I find at like flea markets and estate sales is those Coleman Camp stoves not propane ones, the ones that use white gas. Okay, we had those in Alaska, and I can tear those apart and fix them, and uh, it's it's regular unleaded gas is what you put in there. Really. Yeah, I've seen those and I found that out rectangle shaped or something like that. Yeah, they're green rectangle and the and the fuel tank will fit inside. It folds up. It has a little carrying case. Yeah. I have a few of those on hand, and boy, you can get them cheap, and it doesn't And your biggest problem there is rust, you know, rust in the in the line and in the burner because the burner is a bunch of little waffles type metal. But you can tear that all apart, take the rust out. And as long as there's two burners, most people use the one burner all the time and they never use the other burner. So if you need spare parts, take the other burner apart, because there's a separate screw thing that turns the other burner on. And you can fix your one burner and it's regular unleaded gasoline. I want to say it's like eighty percent, it's high seventies eighties percent of people who use electric stoves in America. It's mass It's like the vast majority, So you've got to put that in your back pocket. It's one of the biggest pitfalls for people who store emergency meals. Yeah, you've got emergency food storage stacked up somewhere that needs a simmer for twenty minutes before you can eat it, and your electric stove is out. Like yeah, unless you've got experienced cooking over fire, I think a good thing to have. I don't have one, but I got other options to call. And two burner is a great one. And the uh pro paane the grill with the propane burner. Yeah, I think would be a cool prep to have for the average you know what I mean, if you didn't know how to cook over coals, if you weren't good at cooking, and you were just thinking, I need to get these ready hour meals heated up in the apocalypse here, because I'll tell you what, man, simmering water for twenty minutes. You can't do it with a jet boil, or maybe you can, but then you're gonna beat the can is going to be dead, you know what I mean. It's yeah, simmering for twenty minutes is a long time. And oh yeah, without your without your standard means of cooking, you know, yeah, which is. Why in my outdoor kitchen, I have a a natural gas stove that's been converted to propaane. Oh and I can. Put I can put the small twenty gallon propane on there. And I get those cheap too at at yards als and stuff. You get the tank, okay, five bucks. Sometimes they have fuel in them, sometimes not. But you can always swap them out if if if one of the valves is bad or something, swap them out at a fuel exchange to update you. You know, I've had him run out. Yeah, and you got to get them reinspected and all that kind of stuff. Well I just swap them out, yeah and chat speaking up excellent. Over at Instagram, the Firewolf says he has a beating stove on his truck for lunch. Yeah. Mister Manny over there on Instagram says portable rocket stove, burned wood, cold truck, cardboard, whatever. Yeah, I don't have a lot of I don't know that I've ever even used a rocket stove, to be honest with you, which is weird for who I am. But you know, the thing. When things work, they work, you know what I mean? You don't go like, let's pull the rocket stove out instead of yeah, which working. Firewolf says he does not like the pro Paine stove that screws right on the Coleman. Yeah, with the one pound bottles, he says, not stable enough. Firewolf, what I is? I bought the uh, I bought the what's the word the hose that connects and converts to the twenty pound pro tanks. And that's what I used to brew all the coffee at prepper Camp every year is a Covin two burner pro pane twenty pound tank. And yeah, it does me good every year, no issue. But yeah, they are the one pounds are crap, especially if it's like hot. If it's yeah, they just freeze, they sweat, then they freeze and they stop working there they're pain. Yeah, the humidity gets in the valve there and just cuts it off and then you gotta wait till it thaws out. Terrible. Yeah, you're one hundred percent right on that one. But the gasoline that will work, that will. I had them with zero temperatures, yep, yep. We use them in Alaska and they're really easy to repair and fix. And like I said, rust is your only problem. Yeah, yeah, that's a good one. Stoves are important, man, if you're gonna be cooking anything, literally cooking, not you know, pouring hot boiling water in a mountain house, which I think is a great option if you don't have any other option. I think that's a good one. Yeah. I have propane, but tane, gasoline, wood. Of course there was another one, but I can't remember what it is right now. I have five, five different ways. Okay, Yeah, that's a good one. I always use that when people talk about winter prep. I always bring up Dave Jones and multitudes of heat sources. It's important, you know, and all you've got to hvack. Your life gets real different fast. It goes out all the time here. I don't know what lately. It tells you to go off for it the other day. Yeah, just keep it off. Save the money. Yeah, keep it off. Put that and Bunny into some solar panels or something and be done with it. They're getting good those solar panels. Cash on hand is a good one, you, Yeah about cash? Yes? Are we going to go down this digital road? How far? No? How far are we going down this digital road with money because one of the things that is in my head constantly now is the stock market, your four oh one K, your savings account, and artificial intelligence. Yeah, everything there is subject to theft right right now. AI in the hands of the wrong person right now probably can get right into a four oh one k, right into a bank account. So I keep thinking to myself, like, how long, how far down this digital currency road are we going to go? I'm really nervous about crypto, Dave. I want to talk to Ben about it because I really think the eye is going to crack that no sweat eventually. Yeah. Yeah, so that. And you know, they they put safeguards in there so that you can't, you know, do nefarious stuff with your AI. But there's all that work around. Yeah you can't, but there's people that can get to work around. And the sure Well, my son. So software engineer, and he's working on Amazon's version of AI, and he's telling me, he's telling me all the jobs that's going to be replaced and all this kind of stuff. I'm like, okay, Alex, okay, long story. Short, cash on hand, money and assets maybe money and dude, those types of things you know, and things. That have value, things that have value other than because paper money, you know, it's only going to be valuable for a period of time if stuff doesn't come back up. You know, I have this vision of you know, the wasteland and twenty dollars bills just blowing down the street because they're worthless. Uh oh yeah, yeah, stuff that you know has been worth something and will always be worth something. I have a couple of stills. I can make alcohol if I have to, you know, things like that that that will always be a commodity that you could trade. Yeah, Or medicine antibiotics, imagine what you do for antibiotics, oh man, you know. Yeah. And cash on hand. I okay, I started, you know, I would pull out because in an emp or whatever, a hack or you know, you want to have that cash on hand. So I would pull out whatever money at the end of the month didn't go somewhere, and I just kept doing that and doing that and putting it in the safe. So you know, yeah, yeah, I think I think that hacking thing we need to really revisit, you know what I mean, Like the way that we look at hacking of financial institutions is that's a thing that happens once in a while. And I think the way that your phone is blowing up lately with scams thanks to all yours is but mine is like yeah, even my fourteen year old's iPhone. Yeah, all of them tell them about dead he os, you know what I mean. Yeah. Yeah. The way that that's happening, I think is a precursor to what financial institutions are going to deal with. And I just don't know, you know what I mean, what that's going to mean for money in the bank, But it is nervous. Yeah, And I I often would point out, because I taught economics in high school, I would point out that the dollar bill is nothing more than a promise that you and I would point at the kids will work your entire life, okay, because it's it's an iou, It's it's worthless. It's not backed on anything else. So if God forbid, the dollar ever collapses the way the government does it, and you can look, as you know, look to Argentina, okay, because they collapse like every ten years. I don't know, they just you just do it. And what will happen is the Government's not gonna devalue their money. They're gonna devalue your money to make their money worth more. So you're four to oh one K your savings, your money. You're gonna show up at the bank and you're gonna have ten percent of what you had yesterday. Yeah. Yeah, the bank run is ugly. That's a scary one. That's a scary There is a piece of this email I'd like to read out that is not a question, but it's important, he says in big bold letters too. This is the biggest and the boldest part of this whole email. He says, Please let all the show hosts know that I appreciate their dedication and passion. This is where diversity is a good thing. Good content going out to a large listening audience that has varied interesting. I am sure that scores of other listeners at the same point, and if you just a gut feel on that, sometimes you don't need statistics to know something is true. It's very nice. Yeah you hear that from from listeners. It's a big deal. We really appreciate that kind of stuff. So yeah, Casey really really hit us with some good questions and some some kind words, also some great suggestions which he had a great idea for a water where is it at? Rather than buying a water bob or one of those giant water catchers that you put in the bathtub, he uses a ten mil sheet of plastic with magnets on it and covers the bath water with the ten mil sheet of plastic and uses the magnets to you know. Keep the hold it in place. Yeah, hold it in place. And I don't know, I just thought that was a cool idea, says, I got a hundred foot roll of the stuff, and uh, that's his game plan. That's his base is diy water bob on the cheap, Not that water bobs are that expensive really, but I like it. Yeah. You can use that plastic for all kinds of other stuff, you know, that is true. I mean plastic like that. I always say duct tape and trash bags, you know, because you can make a chemical protective suit. Yeah, chemical protective suit out of large trash bags and duct tape. Yeah. Yeah, that was a Uh. The first roll of that stuff I ever bought was to go into my first pandemic kit I ever created, which was long before the actual pandemic. I was trying to put a kit together based off some of your recommendations, you know, for uh, for that for biological protection and quarantine of a room. Yeah, you know what I mean. Tie it suits are in there, and some natural remedies in there too. Before I had antibiotic. But yeah, that that stuff comes in andy. You can use that for a lot of water catchment, solar still, you know what I mean, all those things, you can use that and. The solar still. Yeah, that's exactly, and the solar still is not bad. You know that that works. You might see it like on social media or whatever the situation is where you see it, you know, on YouTube. You don't know if it really works or not. I've made them several times and they work. They will definitely work. And if you have no water, particularly if it's like warm out, you're not gonna get like, you know, insane amounts of water, but you're gonna get water out of nowhere, no creeks around, no, you know, if you got folia. I've never pissed in the hole. I've seen people do that. I heard no, yeah, but I heard this one the other day how the Roman Navy were as able to get water while they were traveling. They would scoop out the sea water, put it in a brass pot and they boil it, okay, and they'd have sponges on a spit over top the boiling water, and the sponges would soak up the water, and they'd also get the salt. Yes, and they get the salt after the water had all cooked off, so that they could you know, keep keep them self rated. And they use they'd use the sponge to drink the water. Yeah. Wow, Yeah, I love that topic. That is a topic. I wrote an article about it years ago, about World War One and the kitchens on horseback, if you could believe it. Yeah, And it just I never really thought about it until then because I get you know, me no military background or anything like that, not a lot of military history either. I never thought about the fact that all through the ages, like you is either pillage or you had to bring food into the field. And I'm talking like, you know, before sea rations and stuff, before food was packed away nice, like they were pulling your stoves and bringing chefs into the battlefield on horse cart and cooking right there during the World War. It's hard to believe would be a great movie the bombing. Yeah, Sea rations themselves are are fairly new Yeah, because you know that that just came about during World War two, right is when it first started to actually expand, and then they they got better and better at it, because man, then world War two rations. Were terrible, terrible firewolfs in chat says, salt. That's the thing I don't know how to grow. Yeah, that's a good way, but cheap get it while it's cheap, man. You know, I've always, I've always I have a list. I probably should publish this list for you guys, but I have a list of reoccurring things that I just always buy at Sam's when it's prep food by in time, you know what I mean. It's the rice, it's the beans, it's the flour, it's the sugar, and it's always the two pound boxes of salt. Yeah, it's just one of those things. If you start it now, you know, in a few years you'll have more salt than you'll probably ever use a lifetime. Yeah, lets you go absolutely insane. Emp you cannot mine salt and foot mine without. So it ain't on the coast. If you ain't on the coast, you got problems. Although, well that is an interesting one. I never thought about. Blood is salty but you can't really drink blood, per the Bible. Yeah, that's something to consider. So store the salt. Make it easy, Make it easy. Two pounds boxes sauce like four bucks or something like that, you know, fill a shelf with it. Yeah, and then add some Himalayan pink salt if you like that. Buy some sea salt if you're into that kind of thing. We use every We use all three salts in my house. We use table salt, we use pimalay in salt, and we have to grinder of sea salt too. We use it all. We probably all have high blood pressure thanks to uh salt intake. But it uh man meet mister manny and Chad says it. Hey, what's up, Cosmo. It used to be you can buy an mr for two dollars. Now too many late comers. You're looking at eighteen to twenty dollars for one mre. Wow, let's see what Mrs World I've got. Just got a case from those guys. That's crazy. Let's see what the Mrs World charges for. Know this because I just did a review on them. I had so much fun doing that review with my kid man. I had a ball. Well, and you did direction and ruin exercise. So you're you're, yeah, I had some MRS then leave familiar. Yeah, what are they charging here? Twelve pack is what they come in these days. Let's see twelve pack complete meals one hundred dollars ninety nine dollars. So yeah, one hundred bucks for twelve that's pretty pricey, man, sure, an MRI. That's rough, man, that's rough. The only advantage MRI has is, you know, the the package portability of it, and and the calorie content because it's calorie content variety. You know, you get like three thousand calories in one. Yeah, m R varieties and you can. Well yeah, twelve I mean. In terms no, no, no, no, I mean the variety within the m R itself. I don't know if they were always that way. Oh yeah, mrs that they make. Now you get a cracker, you get a snack, you get a drink, you get a you know, all kinds of stuff aside a dessert. And that's way better than like chicken flavored rice for dinner. You know. And also it heats itself, which is really cool. Oh yeah, yeah. No need to worry about that. Off grid cook get the heater. So they yeah, they have their benefit, you know. I I yeah, I don't know. They they definitely have a place. I don't like them because they're not space efficient and the shelf is not great, you know what I mean. Yeah, give me a bucket of rice long before a case of m rs. Because the right when we go on patrol, we would we would take the m rs and and take it all apart and stuff our cargo pockets with the goodies, you know, very little trash. Yeah, yeah, very little trash that you had to get rid of. Uh, And then that made it lighter and easier. And you always you always knew you had some food on you. Well you didn't. You didn't go anywhere without something that you could roach in your pocket and eat. Yeah that yeah, yeah, you need you need incoming calories when you're rocking. It's no joker, right. File says he's got a ten dollars build. He doesn't have a dollar bill for mrs. Not bad. Yeah, Yeah, that's that's really rough. Yeah. You figure if you drop one thousand dollars, you get one hundred and twenty meals, which sounds like a lot, but for a family of four that it's basically a month. It's basically a month, right, one hundred and twenty meals. Yeah, that's so it's brutal. Twenty meals. I mean the MRI's you know, like I said, they have their place, but it's not something that I would. We have a little everything, and everything has a purpose, Yeah, because you can food and. Yeah, with an emphasis on staple ingredients for cooking, I think is the best solution for food storage, you know what I mean. All the other things are cool, but the emphasis should be on whole ingredients that you're going to prepare and you know, most importantly you know how to prepare, right, Yeah, because cooking beans ain't no picnic. Man, if you don't know what you're doing, you don't want to. You don't want your kidney beans to sound like that, you know, Yeah, because that's going to do wonders on your digestive track too. So yeah, after rationing a ruin, it just solidified all that stuff. You know that, and of course that Dave Jones secure your protein. Yeah, that's a huge one. Yeah, that's not one. You're not going to find a solution overnight, no, you know what I mean, And that's one hundred percent. You're not going to be like, oh, no, more chicken coming from the supermarket, No big deal. We're eating squirrels all day and night. You know, if you've ever eaten a squirrel, I'd have to eat five squirrels to fill up on the squirrel Literally, you'd have to eat probably five of them. So if I need five and the wife needs three and the kids need the kids might need five now two. They're big kids. Now, so what are you doing? Are you massacring thirty squirrels a day? Do you even have thirty squirrels a day? You know? So the math just. Doesn't Yeah, you cannot hunt your way out of the apocalypse. No, oh, it's no, it's impossible. And I'll tell you what else is completely unreliable. It doesn't mean that it's not a good time, it doesn't mean that it's not a skill worth knowing. But this year, the drought has hit so hard that there is no virtually no forging happening. Yeah. Yeah, Maria pointed out, Uh, you know, june berries or wineberries, whatever you want to call them, they share already be out and there's nothing, there's nothing here. Yeah, the mulberry. Mulberry was very, very minimal, and usually we have those things like insane around here. The blackberries are really bad. Even the elderberries are dying early. They're falling. We have like wild elderberry close by. They're even falling off unripe. Just I think from the heat. The other thing last year we had the delus. Remember we had rain instantly and cool temperatures all year up until like July almost, and we had mushrooms everywhere. I mean we had shantra I had. I had multiple sessions of going out and harvesting chantrall mushrooms in the month of June. I remember it was like a dream come true. Hey, you're gonna have to play a commercial. Marie is at the window there doing something. Oh, go ahead, hop off. I'll keep the audience towing. Yeah, I don't worry about I'll take you off. Yeah. So the the the foraging of mushrooms was is non existent this year. Firewolf says, locked in protein with chickens and rabbits. It's a great solution, great solution, right, no doubt about it. Chickens, rabbits, quails, put pro you can put protein on the shelf. You can put milk powder on the shelf, egg powder on the shelf. You can put the like did I say protein already? Yeah, protein, like literal protein powder on the shelf that runs out right. If you got chickens, you got a rooster, you got rabbits, You're gonna have protein a long time. But you know that can go up in flames too. It's nerve wracking. Man. Nothing is a guarantee. You know. I've had more than one morning where I've stepped out of my back door to go check the chickens and found out I don't have chickens anymore. I've got pieces of chickens. A wing here, a thigh there, you know what I mean. And you find out that them chickens are gone because they got decimated by something. So then you know, then you're panicking. So maybe not only not only do you want to secure the protein and have the chickens and have the eggs and know how to butcher and know how to freeze and all that kind of stuff, but you may also want some people on speed dials, some people you know, some people you can drive too. You can just show up and say, hey, you guys, got any chickens for sale? You know what I mean? Good to know those people. I have more than one chicken. Guy saved in my in my phone, you know what I mean. And sometimes they you know, they got it. Sometimes they don't got it. Sometimes they're selling, sometimes they're not. Firewolf says berries are bad around here. Have a handful of passion fruit in the field. Yeah, the foraging is is pretty bad. It's exceptionally bad this year. And it really opened my eyes to that, the fact that there are some there are some prepper skills that are just some bushcraft things, some survivalism things that are so hit or miss, you know what I mean, Like you say it out loud and it sounds good. Right, I'm gonna just, you know, learn how to forage and eat eat the wild world. Some years you will some years you'll have a great time. Some years you'll have so much stuff you won't be able to believe. Leave your eyes. That was last year. This year totally different. It's night and day. It's night and day. I saw what's that one called? Just last week? No, it was Monday, I think it was Monday. Yeah, I went for a walk with my wife in the woods on Monday and I saw the uh, what's it called? Indian pipe? Indian pipe? I think it's called it was the first like beneficial mush Actually, I've never seen it around here before, so I was pretty surprised. I think it's called Indian pipe mushroom. It's awesome looking. It looks like a flower. It looks like a ghost of a flower. Is that what It's called? Monatropa uniflora, a plant called Indian pipe due to the group of chiefs quarreling without resolution while passing a pipe around during the dispute. Yeah, that's cool, man, the American Indian ghost pipe plant. I thought it was a I guess it is a plant. I thought it was a mushroom, formerly classified in the family of Monotropicia, but is now included within the eric Asia. It is of ephemeral occurrence, depending on the right conditions moisture after a dry period to appear full grown within a couple of days. Medicinal. Yeah, it's pretty cool. A parasitic plant that borrows nutrients from certain fungi, trees and decaying wood. But that's it. That's the first that I seen of it. Man, before that, hadn't seen much of anything by way of mushrooms. Everything, okay, Dave Jones. Oh yeah, I was gonna explain on a daily audio Cash tomorrow. But we do. All the babies of the rabbits in a colony alf run, so they're all living together. So every night, because they're they're not like chickens, they just won't go in. We have to chase him in. So we call it rabbit rodeo. And I thought the kids would be out here helping, and Maria is all by herself. You chase him in one door, some of them go out the other, and it's it's rabbit rodeo. Well you could go help her on rabbit rodeo. Man, it's no big deal. Yeah, we did good. I think we know they're in now. Oh you've got them already, Okay, Oh I got you. Yeah you pull Yeah, there you get in the damn yeah or else we're making we're making yet. Oh. I got a message from a guy from ARC Training. He's got a cool little pistol FBI qualifier pistol thing that he's uh wants people to try. I'll have to look into it a little more, but it might be a fun weekend up at Larry's with the gang. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you got to take a video of it. And if you're you're If you're the fastest time out of everyone, which is not my favorite thing, you wind up winning a kimber. I think, wow, yeah, it's a pretty nice gun. Dang, I'm wrong. A Ruger RXm nine millimeter is still pretty awesome gun. A custom blade. Yeah yeah, just shoot the fifty round FBI quaal with your handgun on video. If you're the fastest time, you win a Ruger RXm nine millimeters, also a custom blade. Seven hundred and sixty dollars in total. Prize is free to join, must be done before August thirty. First. Hmm, well, I'd like to see who's the fastest amongst us. That'd be fun, right, I have no idea what the fifty I. Have to have to brush off my skills a little. I may have to get a couple more magazine. Well, no, that's not true. But that's a lot of rounds to do fast. There's no rehouting for fifty rounds, right, and that the. Bring I mean, that's that's good. That's a lot of magazine changes. Yeah, yeah, that's a yeah. And it's it's all different rangers. It's all different, you know, different distances and barricade and. Yeah, well Larry's might be perfect for that. Oh yeah, yeah, Larry's got the setup for sure. Yeah, he's the man. So what else Dave Jones on this hump day? Yeah, hump day. All the patriot power are guys there. They're going to take another week off. So if anybody's out there waiting for them, they're they had some technical difficulties. Ben didn't explain in the back channel, but you know. Some stuff happened in big They take them big breaks, and man, they come back with the fire, you know. Oh yeah, and I guess you know that means they're going to come back the fourth week. That's right right before. Yeah, interesting pool? What is going on? What is the reflecting pool? How did that get in the crosshairs? That's just crazy. That's the weirdest thing, right, Like what yeah? People people out there rooting on the algae? What you're rooting from? Pond scum? I thought we liked Abraham Lincoln? Like what, I don't get the correlation. I don't understand why we're attacking the monuments. What's the point in that? You're not hurting Trump? Yeah, it was pointed out that we used to have state mental institutions, very large facilities for mentally insane people. Those have been all closed down. So now the mentally insane are out on the streets and they're churing on ponds. Come yeah, running Antifa. Professor level in colleges across the United States, running HR departments, right, those kinds of things. At least that's what I see. That's what I can't It seems like it to make. They also seem to be on carnival cruise ships. From what I see, those videos are wild. Oh my god, I can't get enough of it. I can't get enough. I've never once in my life sat down on vacation and been like, I'm just ready to punch someone in the face. I don't know, let's find somebody to punch. Yeah. Crazy, they're fun, But yeah, to your point, you know, some people we need it, We need an answer. It's one of those weird like liberal things. The liberals were like, this is bad. Well what's the solution? I don't know, but this is bad. We can't do it anymore. Yeah, it's like water in the fire hydrants. You know, you can't waste water. What about if a fire comes I don't know. Across that bridge when we get there. Yeah, everything burns down. That's good. Yeah, it's a mad, mad, mad mad world. Dave Jones, thanks for having me on tonight. Man, it was blead. Oh sure, thanks for coming right, forgiving y case. He made the show tonight. Yeah, keep them coming, guys, seriously, absolutely, and nothing is too crazy or too far out or too big to tackle. Like we had immense firepower here at PBN, you know what I mean. We were not only the hosts, but we know everybody, like we can answer your question no matter how crazy as it is. And I'll do the due diligence. So keep the questions coming and we'll do more prepping up with the Joneses Q and as. Yeah, i'd love that. I used to say, I want to be your weapon of mass instruction. I love that. Yeah, that was so good. Dave Jones, the national treasure man. I'm telling you, jeez, just some old guy understatement of the year, by the way, to some old guy who's done every job you could do in the. Yeah. Yeah, well all right, PBN family, I guess we'll wrap it up. Thanks, we'll see it in the bunker. I guess for another Q and a talk to you sooner, folks. Tons of shows, you know the deal. You can't even watch them all. It's insane to in spread the word. We'll talk to you guys soon, see it, I don't know, said
