Surviving America 088: Preparing for Midterm Election Chaos

Society in every state is a blessing, but government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil. The future has already arrived. Surviving America Episode 88, folks. Welcome in. Thank you for joining me today. We are talking preparing for midterm election chaos on today's show. Not really intent on fear-mongering. Just want to bring you the reality of the fact that we're having an election in America in just a few months. And I don't know what's going to happen to you. It's as crazy to say everything will be fine and nothing's going to happen and everyone will go to vote and go home and everything will be counted up just so. It's as crazy to say everything will be fine as it is to say prepare for the chaos, in my opinion. What evidence do we have that... So what I want to do today is talk about it. I want to talk about voter suppression today on both sides. The concept of In the America that we're living in, the revolutionary America that we're living in, I think it's important to understand what your side is thinking if you have a side and what the opposition is thinking if you have an opposition. Now, chances are you have a side and an opposition, whether you admit it or not, right? Or at least somewhere along your moral trajectory, you have virtues and opposition to those virtues exist, right? Murder is the greatest example. Where do you fall on that? There's a side to choose there, right? There is a side to be chosen. In 2020, I started something called the EPC on the Prepper Broadcasting Network. It was the Election Preparedness Campaign. And we put out an email newsletter every single week for 52 weeks, maybe 50, because we did some vacation, but about 50 weeks. And each week we discussed a preparedness topic that would help you prepare for the fact that Donald Trump was running against Joe Biden. Now, to me, it was Donald Trump, so I knew it would be an inflammatory sort of political situation where the media was insane, which it was. I'd like to say that I knew it would turn out to be the most controversial election in American history, which it is undoubtedly that. right? So I basically put everyone on a preparedness path in 2020, everyone who listened to PBN, to prepare for what I thought was going to be a wild time in America and what turned out to be a much wilder time than I could have ever imagined, right? You got to remember, so we started with a full gear. We started in November 2019. I ran into the largest Second Amendment rally in American history in Richmond, Virginia, followed by the pandemic, followed by the George Floyd riots, followed by the 2020 election. And we had done a lot of work and a lot of due diligence to make sure that people were prepared for this stuff. It was a great time to be on PBN through the chaos of it all. It was a great time to be on PBN. And I look back on that and I, you know, I got a lot of kudos from a lot of people on kicking that EPC off and running it a year before one of the craziest years, if not the, well, maybe not one of the craziest years in America. Right. We helped a lot of people. There's no doubt about it. Nothing has changed. You know what I mean? Here we are six years later, not much has changed. When we get derailing about things, the hosts and I, you have to understand we are like you in terms of being preppers. We understand what's forming out there at sea, the storms that are forming out there at sea. We see them forming, and we know things are getting crazy, and we want you to be ready. Today's show is no different. Today's show is... sort of a look at the voting process, a look at what's coming in the fall, and then an understanding of what you need to be prepared for, right? What it is you need to be prepared for. Because truth of the matter is, well, because in my opinion, I think the techniques and the strategies in this divisive America that we live in, The techniques and the strategies of disruption, is probably the best way to put it, are changing. Did you know that 5.2 Americans are felons that cannot vote? And of course this varies by state. I don't know if this takes into account the fact that the mother of mayhem just let 66,000 regain their right to vote. Voter ID laws... 36 states in the union require some form of voter ID. Eight require photo. That's kind of hard to believe. Only eight. Poll closures is an interesting stat, right? That's another interesting stat that we have to be aware of. 1,200-plus polling places closed since Shelby County. Shelby County v. Holder in 2013 gutted the Voting Rights Act preclearance. Within five years, jurisdictions that had been covered— Closed over 1,000 polling sites, heavily concentrated in majority and minority counties. Longer travel, longer lines. The stated reason is usually budget cuts or consolidation. The effect is measurable. Precincts with closures saw turnout drop three to five points. The conversation of free... and fair elections is a lot bigger than the, the Republicans are doing a thing to block people from voting and the, uh, Democrats are doing a thing to get people to vote illegally or to make people who are dead vote or to all the things, right? Um, early voting restrictions are a thing. Uh, Actual intimidation, right? Armed poll watchers, robocalls, and of course, radical misinformation. I mean, misinformation we have to get under control in terms of voting. In terms of ballot language, okay, we here in Virginia, we were subject to maybe the most extreme misinformation that I've ever seen on a ballot in my life. And it was a gerrymandering prospect by the mother of mayhem, Abigail Spanberger. I don't want to talk about her too much because, frankly, I'm furious with Abigail Spanberger. If she really continues to see Virginians murdered by illegal aliens and does not come out and rescind her 10th, executive order her number 10 executive order which was no cooperation with ice in the state of virginia um i may have to change her name from the mother of mayhem to just a killer like this is not the hill to die on abby abby it's like every other week i can't help but ask the question how many virginians Are we sacrificing for illegal aliens to be comfortable and safe in the state of Virginia? How many? Look, you reach these forks in the road, okay? Nobody wants to break up families. You know what I mean? I mean, really. Just talking common sense, right? What's my phrase? Assimilation or deportation. It sounds bad. It sounds mean. It sounds terrible. Assimilation or... or deportation. But here's the reason why for all of you out there who are going, oh, the illegals aren't so bad. Well, here's the deal. People have gotten into this country illegally for a very, very long time, longer than I've been alive. The difference is assimilation. Why is the difference assimilation? Because if you get in the country and you live across the street from me, And you're a great neighbor. You mow your lawn. You keep up with everything. You talk to us in English, which is the language of the land, right? Kids go to the schools. Just be a decent American citizen. Fly a flag. Light a firework on the 4th of July. Be cordial. Nobody, listen to me very closely. Nobody's going to care that you're illegal on the ground level. You don't have the issues that you have with ICE. If you have assimilation, you don't need an organization like ICE as much to be as violent and as ruthless. If you have assimilation, the moment you get waves of illegal immigrants from any nation with no, desire to assimilate, no desire to learn English, we will bend your tax dollars, we will bend your society and your public patience into our culture and our language. I've told the story a million times. Great-grandmom spoke Very little English, only Italian. My father's parents. Don't you dare speak Italian outside of this house. Assimilation. I don't like that word. People don't like that word, but it would help a lot. It would help a lot, um, with the divisiveness and the divisive nature in the country. What? Uh, transition, suppression, transition. Um, Suppression is the policy fight, right? Next is a street fight. That's kind of the thing, right? Suppression is the policy fight, and the next thing is the street fight. So it doesn't matter if it's left-wing or right-wing. It doesn't matter where it emanates from or how it— it matters what the public sees. If the public sees Antifa at the polls and they say voter suppression, then it's voter suppression. We need policy changes. If the public sees somehow using an ID as a way to suppress the vote, then it's a policy situation, right? But it's the old saying about the ballot box or the ammo box, right? It's that whole thing. The soapbox, the ballot box, the ammo box, in that order. No, ballot box, soapbox, ammo box, in that order. You understand what I'm saying, right? You understand where we're at. In terms of that. So the reason I wanted to talk about felony disenfranchisement, voter ID laws, the purging of voters. This is a Georgia problem. 1.4 million voters in 2012 and 2018 were using a use it or lose it sort of policy. And they were purged from the voter rolls and had to re-register. It's a big deal, man. Changing the times of polls. I feel like American polls, you get a lot of leeway. You get a lot of time to vote. Wake up early and vote. You're done, right? But again, perception is the big thing here. Perception is what will lead to the chaos, should there be chaos, outside of, you know, cheating, recounting. And again, that's perception too. That's perception too. When the public sees a box of ballots on the ground in Georgia on fire, they don't feel good about the election. Imagine that, right? They don't feel good about it. So we have to be careful about these things, man. These things are, they're coloring what it is we do here. Let me see something real quick. Well, that helps. So we get ourselves worked up into a tizzy over any number of things. We all know there are forces in this nation on both sides that want you worked up. They want you worked up. They want you nearly ready to riot at any moment at the drop of a hat. And some days I feel like maybe we should be. I really do. Some days I have those moments. But we saw the very real and true effects in 2020 of what protests in the United States could look like. And I'm going to talk to you about some of the statistics here because they're amazing. But I also want you to understand these are 2020 numbers. And the world of protesting, the world of– the radicalized world on both sides, the– just the– one of the things that stands out the most is– so Portland had a hundred plus nights of protests in 2020, right? It's a big deal. A hundred plus nights of protests. We had 30 days in Richmond, peaceful, mostly P they were actually mostly peaceful in Richmond. Um, but there's some idiots in there. Seattle's chop lasted 24 days. If you remember that and multiple cities, all simultaneous actions, you know what I mean? Um, Those that will riot, those that will protest, I think, are far more engaged than they were in the past. But what stands out most is the presence of firearms that I see. In 2020, it was crazy to see a guy with a rifle. You'd see a guy with a rifle, you'd be like, whoa, that dude brought an AK-47. If you remember, I think he was... I can't remember the exact situation. A guy drove... into the crowd not into the crowd like he rounded the corner onto a street and the protest was all over the street mostly peaceful of course and i think there was a guy in a wheelchair who was involved and a guy with an ak-47 and the guy with the ak-47 immediately put the gun up at the guy in the car right and one of them shot the other i don't remember which but somebody shot the other guy I want to say the guy had a handgun in the gun and shot the guy with the AK-47, but it might have been vice versa. It was a crazy year, man. I can't remember all this stuff. Be ready for that. Do you know what I mean? Like, be ready for that. Because I see protests now where multiple people are carrying rifles. You know, you like groups of people on both sides carrying rifles. This is the sort of the slow burn of... divisive political chaos that's leading us to what a lot of people would say is a civil war. I don't think we can ever have anything as clean as a civil war in the United States, at least not in this iteration of the United States. The only real sort of battle lines that I could see drawn, but even then it would probably still be... I think we're simply too fractured even within our groups. In other words, North-South There wasn't a whole lot, you know what I mean? It was kind of straightforward, but you can find a fracture in almost every aspect of every group. And maybe that's a good thing in terms of force on force, right? Protests in 2020 tended to be, they clustered downtown and at symbolic sites while there were some suburban night incursions. You didn't see a lot of that. Although there was, I don't know if you remember, but there was a sentiment, right? There was definitely a sentiment that led, that was trying to get protesters and rioters into suburbs. Like, we're coming to your neighborhood. I remember hearing distinctly, we're coming to your neighborhood. And I can't really give a lot of my recommendations for that for legal purposes, but Just think about that. Think that over, right? The goal here, if you're in a situation where you have massive protests walking through your neighborhood, this is worst case scenario as far as I'm concerned, because then you have basically the inability to hold anyone accountable for property damage. Anybody with a mask on in a giant protest can chuck a Molotov cocktail at your house, and guess what? That's your mess to clean up now, right? So I would focus on things that would make the people in my neighborhood very uncomfortable. Do you know what I mean? Maximally uncomfortable. And if you could do things that are... The other thing you could do is you could corral crowds. That's a possibility, right? The best case scenario, though, really the best case scenario, is to address... this situation before it winds up on your street. Uh, the night of the election, the night of the election, we had a small community meeting. Um, and I was very clear about like, if we need to go to the head of the neighborhood and be there in order to, you know, push a large roving protest, you know, just not give them, free access just just have people there that say just keep going on that way you know it doesn't have to be a thing it doesn't have to be a big battle it doesn't have to be an incursion it could be some parked cars that create like like if you park a car sideways at the entrance of your neighborhood and stand a few people there and just as the crowd comes by you let them know we can't come in here all you have to do is get the sea of the protest to move in the direction you wish them to move, right? And unless you have some kind of high value target within your suburb or within your neighborhood, I don't think that would be that hard to do. Or unless you are, the problem would for you, if you're in the path of a thing, if you're in the path of one of these symbolic sites or downtown, right? If the fastest route to the location that this protest wants to go is through your neighborhood but even so you could probably still at least make them cut the block over not that you hate your neighbors in the block over but if you're dealing with this kind of a threat everything you can do to keep it from your street is priority one. You know what I mean? You don't want to look outside and go, oh, I have a problem to address. That's going to be interesting. You know what I mean? We've got data. You know what I mean? 93% of 2020 BLM protests were nonviolent per the ACLED, the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project, tracked. 7,750 protests made through August 2020, 93% involved. No property damage or police engagement. But that 7% still means 540 plus events with violence. You see, this is where people on my side get crazy. They see something like, because I just got crazy in my own head reading the data. Evidence 93% of 2020 BLM protests were nonviolent. You hear that and you say, oh, that's bullshit. There's no way. I was there. I saw violence with my unknown eyes, right? This is fixed data. This is fudged data. In the data, and while it's not always right, but in the data, folks, we can find more truth and we can live. We can get out of the black and white of everything you do is corrupt. Everything I do is right, period, right? in that 93%, you think, uh, and, and if it's presented that way, it does seem strange only, right? If the headline is, well, mostly, mostly peaceful riots, 93% is mostly peaceful. But if you say across the nation, 540 protests were violent and they clustered, uh, in predictable windows after dark on weekends, following court decisions, viral videos, um, It's a big deal, man. 540 violent protests across the nation in one year. It's a lot. It's a thing. What it becomes is, sure, mostly peaceful in terms of percentage. Sure. But at the end of the day, you better be prepared. You better be prepared to be one in 540 or to run into one in 540, right? Following these elections, leading up to these elections. Because it's a thing. You know what I mean? Let's test something out real quick. I meant to do this on the way into Riot Prep. But I've been playing around with some different intros and outros. So let's kick in the Survive Anything as we talk more about Survive Anything. Survive Anything Riots follow a clock, okay? This is, again, the use of data, right? Riots follow a clock, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. window, Friday, Saturday, Sunday are peak risk. You could probably, if you sat down and thought about it, you could probably understand that. You could probably pick that out of your own head. When are they going to, what are the peak riot hours? It's not that hard. Look, we don't want riots in the country. We don't want to bow down to chaos. But life goes on. You got to crack on with life. So a great way to manage this sort of a situation is don't be where the riots are between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. Really, for the average person, not super tough, specifically Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Cars and vehicle damage were much greater than damage to people in homes. That shouldn't surprise you. because vehicles are out there, you know what I mean? This may color how and where and when you park a vehicle, right? Do you typically leave a vehicle downtown, something like that? Might be something to consider. Police response, what I saw in Richmond, Virginia, in terms of what the police are willing to do is a corralling method that developed in the latter part of the 30 nights of protests, right? I think the police are much better equipped to deal with protests now. They used a really pretty straightforward method, you know what I mean? They let the protests materialize. After dark, it was then pushed to disperse, and it would follow sort of a planned route. The protests would follow this planned route, and the police would surround it on all sides. And if it sought to break up, if it sought to get violent, then they would just be peppered tear gas blasted, you know what I mean, from afar. And it worked. I mean, I watched it night after night. I paid very close attention to these riots in my city, naturally. And it worked. This method works. And when arrests needed to be made, this pocket of disruption was, you know, the police descended on it and yanked the people out. So, They were basically chaperoning the protest, which I thought was great. They were supposed to disperse after hours. They choose not to, or after dark, they would choose not to. And then you would have a situation where the mostly peaceful protests would be chaperoned through the city. And I don't know about you, but I like it. I like it. I think it makes sense. One of the things that always scared me and something that you may want to consider in all this is, when you're in this kind of a situation, um, it takes a lot of police. How many police does your area have? Right. And how do you, how do you find yourself in a position where, um, you could still call the cops and get a response because when there's no protests, we tend to have trouble calling the cops and getting a response. I mean, that's the reality, you know, I call the police here in Richmond, Virginia sometimes and I don't get anything from the Just what it is, you know, just these are the realities and the things that you want to know. Right. You can avoid downtown three days before through one week after election night. Right. If you're looking to take action, if you're looking to build something in to your situation like consider that, consider avoiding downtown three days before through one week after election night. Based on. 2020 tensions peak in the 72 hours before polls close then again when the results are contested or certified there will be contested results period we have democratic socialists running for very important places and we have communists running for their takeover okay they are emboldened i personally think if you want my personal take i personally think that the fall elections uh are actually going to be, even with the economy, the way that it is. Now, this is running against the norms, but even with the economy the way that it is, based on my sources, I'll tell you about my sources one day, but based on my sources, it looks like Republican candidates are spending way more money. They have way more money. These communists don't have as much money. One thing about communists, they're usually poor. You know what I mean? They're usually broke. Their system doesn't work, so it's really hard. And also, you know who really hates communism? Rich people. Really hard to get rich people to donate to their own demise. So I think truly that the Republicans are getting more money. This is what I know to be true by source. They're raising more money. They're spending more money. The radicalized nature of... the DSA slash communist party that's trying to take over the Democrat, maybe has taken over the Democrat party, is going to really hurt them. And I think the silence of the Democrats is going to really hurt them against, you know, the silence of the party is hurting them with the true Democrats, right? The sort of left of center Democrats, right? the center Democrats, the mid-tier Democrat? I don't know. The silence there to not stand up for what it means to be a Democrat, right? And to move completely into this sort of radicalized mode of thinking and being and taxing and giving away everything. And we're seeing in New York how well that's working. Well, under the Sultan Mamdani. But I do. I think I'm not going to say red wave, but I think we're going to see a lot more Republicans win than should, given the fact that we are trapped in a war that is killing us with gas prices and the costs of groceries and things are up. Typically. those are like you're not winning the midterm you got the presidency which also hurts the midterm you got the economy which is hurting the midterm but I still think because of the radicalization that we're going to see Republicans do well all that said We're also going to see contested– we're definitely going to see contested situations. You know what I mean? We have the Republican National Committee, which has launched a multimillion-dollar election integrity operation in 17 states, which includes hiring state directors to recruit poll workers, poll watchers, and observers. I know some of those guys. Plus legal coordination for Election Day, right? He calls them– Trump calls them the larger election integrity army. which I think should be a bipartisan thing also, right? Poll watchers, poll workers and observers and legal coordination should be an American effort. There should be no party that stands outside of those things and goes like, I don't know. I don't know if we should watch the polls and quality assure the voting process. Groups like the Election Integrity Network, associated with Cleta Mitchell, promote model legislation for stricter ID limits on same-day registration and voter challenges. We've got things, you know what I mean? We've got things that we need to work out. Militia groups like Remnants of the Oath Keepers have discussed relaunching with a focus on constitutional oaths and resilience, but public reporting does not show specific organized plots for midterm disruption comparable to January 6th. armed presence at polls is a recurring fear on the left. I mean, I've never seen it. I don't know anybody who's ever seen it. This is one of those boogeymen of the left, right? This idea that somebody is going to be outside the polling place with an AR-15 or a group. And even if they are, like, let's grow a pair, man. You know what I mean? You're going in to vote. What are they going to do? What are they going to do? How will they know who you voted for, first of all, right? If it is an intimidation tactic, in other words, it's a pretty poor one. It's a pretty crap intimidation tactic. And also, you're an American. Like, in terms of physically going to the polling place and leaving with your vote, I have not yet begun to fight, okay? That's the mentality. Like, truly, that is the mentality. This is America. This is your thing. You get to vote, right? You show up, you vote. Don't buy into this weakness. Intimidation. Come on. So we got to look at that, right? We got to look at those things. We know that there are operations and organizations that are really intent on making the lead up to this situation a little more arduous. There's no doubt about that, right? Yeah. We're going to look at post-election here in a minute. We'll do another cool little thing. But I want to talk about these groups. The ACLU plans a $ 50 million midterm effort with half dedicated to training over 100 paid staff and thousands of volunteers to encourage voting, protect access, and monitor counting and certification in battlegrounds like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin. See the– I just don't like it. I hate it. The American Civil Liberties Union, I just don't trust them. If you were spreading $ 50 million across the entire nation, then I would say, okay, this is a broad-based attempt to legitimize American elections and shore things up. But the moment you start saying we're going to spread these volunteers, these 100 paid volunteers across battleground states, well, what are we battlegrounding? Do we want fair elections? Do we want Democrats to win elections? Not good. Indivisible runs a 50-state election protection program with scenario planning for expected challenges such as mail-in restrictions or counting delays. Senate Democrats have formed a task force, conducted tabletop exercises on scenarios including federal agents at polls, ballot seizures, and AI-generated disinformation, and plan to train staff as observers. Could the first battles be between these pollsters? Not these pollsters, but these poll watchers. Do we see some of the first fighting break out at the polls? Because it becomes a flashpoint. You know what I mean? It does. It becomes a flashpoint. If we have Republican poll watchers and Democratic task forces... who have conducted tabletop exercises, including federal agents at polls, right? Now, ICE don't need to be at the polls, right? Why? Why do they need to be at the polls? You got an address for this guy. Go get him. That's it. Pull him out. You know what I mean? Now you're expanding operations into something it doesn't need to be in. Why? Because ICE is volatile, man, right? And if you want to turn an election upside down, Federal agents at the polls is going to be a problem. I mean, federal intimidation at the polls, I don't even like the sounds of that. You know where these guys are. It's not like ICE doesn't know. Where's all the killers? No need to be at the polls. You're just inviting violence. You're inviting the most radical people to get in the way of the American citizens' ability to vote. Again, this can be a voter suppression tool in and of itself. All it takes, what does it take? Here you are, right? Maybe you're voting in a Republican majority election, right? You're most likely going to win, or maybe it's a hotly contested election in your area. You're going to go vote physically, like you always do. I vote physically. I don't mail in none of that shit. I want to go see people, that whole thing. You're heading in to vote, and all of a sudden, you see ICE agents out front, and They're getting accosted by about 10 lunatic left-wingers. And there's a battle at the polling place now, at the doors, right? Maybe you go in. Maybe if you're like me, you say, well, whatever. I'll film it and go in and show it on the show. Or maybe you say, screw it, I'm not going. Or I'll go later and then something comes up and you don't go later. That is suppression, my friends, right? And that's suppression that doesn't need to happen, doesn't need to exist. So keep the federal law enforcement outside of the polls. We don't need that. You know what I mean? What do you have to prepare for, right? 2020 saw 14,000 arrests in 140 cities over three weeks. Huge. Those are big numbers, man. Those are big numbers. Do you see another guy in North Carolina? Can anyone be a judge? My dog, Bowser, could be a better judge than these North Carolina judges, by the way. Another dude knocks a girl out on a home video camera. By the way, stop putting cameras in your house. Right? What is with the cameras in the house? I mean, I'm glad this guy got caught, but can we... What is that? Who's putting cameras in the house? High-definition color camera in the kitchen. Right? Unless she knew, like, this dude's crazy. I mean, how does a woman get wrapped up with a guy like that? This dude was arrested 50 times, it looked like. It looked like 50 arrests. They had 50 pictures of him. Like, there were more pictures of this guy than there are of my 10-year-old that exist. Mugshots. Slaps a girl, knocks her out on the kitchen floor. Monster. Jail. Prison. What are we doing? What are we hoping for out of this guy? 2020 saw 14,000 arrests in 140 cities over three weeks. The scale of post-election unrest in 2020 exceeded anything in modern U.S. history outside of the 60s. Keep that in mind, okay? This is not a presidential election we're going into, but don't be caught off guard either, right? Don't put yourself in a situation, oh my goodness, I figured it was just the midterms, it wouldn't be so bad. People are insane about Donald Trump. People are insane about where we're at as a nation right now. There are so many eat-the-rich, insane people out there. You know what I mean? And there are also people with legitimate concerns and legitimate grievances who will cling on to groups at the fringe, right? They'll say, you know what? This might be my thing right now because it is really hard out here for me. I can't get ahead, and at least these people have an answer. So, you know, don't be caught off guard. We talked about the perception, right? And just pay attention to perception as the days quicken, because that's what it is. Both sides. What are they thinking? What are they feeling? Oh, this election is going to be rigged already because of blank. Oh, this is going to, you know what I mean? That perception will build as the day carries on. 70% of Republicans doubted 2020. 30% of Dems doubted 2016. That's a lot of Republicans, 70%. To get thrown off YouTube for believing something and talking about something that 70% of Republicans doubted in 2020 is crazy. Isn't it? That's absolutely insane. An opinion. An opinion shared by 70% of Republicans. So, the big thing, of course, the big hit, right? The one that we have to be careful of is... Supply chain disruption. Are we going to block highways? You remember the footage. You remember the footage of like the tyrannid level hive mind, people climbing on tractor trailers and attacking the drivers for no reason. You know what I mean? No reason at all. The first 72 hours post-election, if there is an issue, are going to be the craziest. They're going to be when the people are out on the streets, when supply chain disruption happens. As we mentioned, Portland saw 100 consecutive nights of protests, but supply disruption hit day three. Even in the most sustained 2020 unrest, logistical impact peaked in the first week. Stores stayed open, ran low on staples within 72 hours as delivery schedules collapsed, which is the purpose of the 72-hour quote-unquote kit, right? I... Personally, I'm not a big fan of the 72-hour kit. I don't really see much use for it, to be quite honest with you. 72-hour kit should be an afterthought. You know what I mean? Really. Here's things you could do rather than build a 72-hour kit. Rather than build a 72-hour kit, just make sure you can keep the lights on in your house for a week. right, which is not hard to do with a small solar generator, no solar panels, low power lights, right? I ran a box fan at Prepper Cam. Now, this is my generator's big. It's 3,000 watt. But I ran a box fan at Prepper Cam for probably 10 hours a day for three days and still had power on that thing. So if you're drawing low wattage, battery powered lights, right, you can keep the lights on in your home pretty easily. There's no need to have the 72-hour kit and to walk around every night with a flashlight in the house. Nothing wrong with a headlamp. You know I love a headlamp. But better to devise a plan to just keep the lights on for a week in your house. And you can get battery-powered lights and stick them all over the house, hide them all over the house. Stockpile AA, AAA batteries, whatever they run on, and you got light. You can bring solar lights inside during the night, more light. This is not a hard problem. You know what I mean? In terms of supply chain, you should have water. You should have clean water and access to clean water beyond the tap. You need it. It's not a want. It's not a prep. It's you need it. You need it because we've reached a point where Iran is hacking water facilities. So how many warnings do you think you're going to get? Right? In terms of food, you want to really have food. Don't buy your 72-hour freeze-dried meal kit full of meals that everyone in your house is going to hate. Just don't do it. I mean, these guys have been sponsors here. I'm grateful for them. I'm grateful for what they do. I think they give some people some options. I really do enjoy Mountain House meals. That's the caveat, right? The boil, water, and cooking bag meals, I don't mind. Outside of that, my experience with food storage, pre-made food storage freeze-dried meals from another company to make a profit has been really bad. It's been shit, to be honest with you. It's not been good at all. There's not one meal that I've had from one of those boxes, bins, buckets that I say, like, I want to eat that again. Throw all that out, right? Right? And for less than one of those kits, you can buy a Coleman two burner. You can get, you can, you probably already have a propane tank, right? You can buy an adapter for that propane tank that refills for 25 bucks, right? The propane tank refills for 25 bucks. You get an adapter that connects your Coleman one pound propanes. The adapter turns the one pound connector into a, you know, your grill one, the grill size. And now you have so much, you have so much fire for cooking. It's tremendous. Okay. Make sure it's ventilated area, the whole thing, and go back to cooking food. Hopefully you have a garden. You've got things that you can saute. Hopefully you've got frozen food. Hopefully you can sustain a freezer on a gas generator or something like that. But even if you can't, right, you can still take some of those water bottles or frozen foods that are in your freezer, put them in your fridge and thaw some meat in your fridge slowly, and you're going to have something to cook. Even just to heat up cans of soup, even just to boil pasta with garlic and olive oil and onions or whatever, right? Fresh herbs. You can cook real food. You can get in touch with Diane Devereaux, the canning diva, and can up meals, right? Freeze dry your own meat, freeze dry your own eggs. The Joneses, they were selling the Jones stead freeze dried eggs. These are things that you can do. If you're going to go freeze-dried, you want to go base ingredients. No mixing and mealing and sauce and all that kind of stuff. It's terrible. But you can cook ad nauseum rice and beans and pastas and canned meats or all that kind of stuff. First of all, it's cheaper than putting up a year's worth of food storage in terms of pre-made freeze-dried food storage from another company who packs it full of preservatives and stuff. And it's better. Everybody wants to eat real food anyway, right? Something to think about. So when you see 72 hours... 72-hour kit, all that kind of stuff, just think about it that way, right? Let's make the home more resilient, period, over an extended period of time. And with battery-powered lights, with stored water in the house, water filtration options, and the ability to cook for an extended period of time, right? Here's an example. I'll burn that 20 pound propane tank. I'll burn for three days for like four or five hours per day at prepper camp. Okay. Making coffee all day. I didn't make as much this year because it was a thousand degrees out, but take my advice. So I can burn it four or five hours a day and still go home with propane in it. So now think about cooking. And how many days you can get for cooking out of one of those propane tanks with a comb and two burner stove, right? It's a lot, man. It's a lot of meals. So it's a lot of meals. If you do quick stuff, it's a real lot of meals, right? If you, even if you're cooking beans, it's still a lot of meals. So, um, be prepared for curfews and movement restrictions. That's, that's good idea. It said in 2020, um, These restrictions occurred with about six hours notice. Now, restrictions are restrictions. They have to be enforced. You've got to have enforcement. If there's no enforcement, it doesn't matter. Twelve states deployed the National Guard. Good to know your local. This is a good piece of advice here. Actually, this is not my advice. This is from the research. Know your local Guard Armory and EOC locations and avoid those areas. Huge. Counter-protest is a thing. These groups are very familiar with finding police headquarters, ICE headquarters, this headquarters, that headquarters, and being a problem. Social media is an absolute tremendous resource in terms of what's actually going on at the ground level. And hopefully you weren't showing up to get me riffing. I tried to throw a little riffing and a little free association in there.
