There's a special show tonight, PBN family. We have with us the common sense practical prepper, Keith, and Dave Jones, the NBC guy, man. This is illustrious company for you. Hello, everyone. Yeah. A Philly native. Did you say lusty company? Lusty company is what I meant, but what I said was illustrious. Oh. Really, it is. It's awesome to have both you guys here in one spot, man. Thanks. So, We are gathered here today to talk a little bit about what you guys are seeing before you. You've probably seen it on some show of ours. But what we've done, the three of us, has been kind of put through the ringer a little bit using Be Prepared Solutions products and services, or essentially services. And I asked you guys, would you mind coming on and chatting it up about kind of what your thoughts are? It's a pretty unique, pretty well thought out program and process and alert system and much more. What you guys are seeing right now is the Virginia alert system, which seems pretty calm for the moment. Yeah. It seems pretty peaceful around Richmond. I don't know. From what I've seen, Richmond has been a lot of, what is it? Oh, resurfacing. Mayo Bridge resurfacing. Okay. There's been a lot of shootings around lately. It looks like they're down, which is good. That's true. I'm serious. There have been quite a few. That and one of the things that happens in Richmond all the time, Keith, I don't know if you know anything about this, but do you ever see these? I see these all the time that are like cloud flare interruptions and open AI interruptions, errors with chat GPT. Mm-hmm. They're all the time. I don't know how severe they are. It'll tell you what they impact sometimes over here. Yeah, I see them. And I use ChatTPT and CloudFlare and all that stuff. What is CloudFlare? I don't know. Oh, I have no idea either. I don't use it. I always see it up there. And I'm always thinking, I guess it's important. It's always running important stuff. CloudFlare would be like, discord shopify peloton many websites cloudflare one clients are incorrectly challenged on some sites but um anyhow this is what we're looking at this guys is a lot of times how i'd start my day with coffee to be honest with you start my day with coffee a little dashboard it used to be drudge report but that's that's terrible um so now it's the epic times and and the be aware dashboard uh What do you guys think about the data? Does it serve you? When you hop into this thing, do you see anything on a daily basis that you get out of it? Yeah, I do the same thing you do in the morning. I have my laptop over here in the office. I have it running all the time, and that's the first thing I do. I check it in the morning, and there is so much information. I don't want to say too much. It can be too much information, but you need to go up in the filters and I know they recently added a filter where you can, you know, your little, I call it the damn dams, the little dams and the stream. I turn those off. Now, if we're getting heavy rains like we are supposed to get this weekend with that tropical storm or whatever it's going to. Be once it hits Alabama. Oh, no, we're getting rain this weekend? Yeah, the tropical storms, yeah, chugging north in the Gulf of America now. I just want to say Gulf of America. And it'll make landfall Alabama or Mississippi. Oh, I saw that. Yeah. And I think we're going to catch a little bit of it on Sunday, like an intro to a raid. But see, that's what I would turn on the stream gauges and the dams and stuff like that. But I like the fact that they did add those filters. So you can pick and choose whatever you want, which I think is just absolutely fantastic. Like wildfires. Wildfires. Not too stressed about wildfires. Right, yeah. But if you're out west. We're really not worried about water levels at all lately around us anyway. I don't know what it's like around here. But if you're out west, you might want to have wildfires turned on or what have you. But, yeah, I think it's an excellent site. I think it's got something for everybody, whether you're a well-established prepper or whether you're just the first person who's just like, you know, is this something I want to get involved in? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, we can talk about the lesson plans and all the little skills and stuff. Oh, yeah, we'll get into it, Def. Well, I'm going to show off the report, too. I think the report's really cool. It is. Have you had a chance to get in there and look around, Dave Jones, up in your neck of the woods? Oh, yeah, yeah. What I liked about the– and I have to tell you, it took me like 15 minutes to say, oh, yeah, I need this. So you sent me the link for the free trial, and I went in there. turned turned it on set it up and uh like i said like 15 minutes i'm i'm looking at this like oh yeah this is this is going to be part of my daily routine too yeah so um yeah and i'm i signed up i signed up what i like is uh the map feature where you can you can zoom out because there's not a lot going on up here on the mountain but there's a lot going around. Yeah, no, I get that. That makes sense. Yep. Yeah, if you're heading into town or if you're– yeah, I always tell people it's just as good for highlighting your area as it is for highlighting the area you're going to. Oh, yeah. Because you can plug in different locations over here on this side, and you can add locations. And, yeah, I mean, there's a lot going on. This may be– Go ahead. Go ahead. Well, they let you put in different addresses so you can just click on them. Yeah, and they added a really cool function now, guys, who are out there listening. If you go to this link up here, bepreparedsolutions.co slash partner slash PBN, or if you just go to the website, you don't have to go to that link. You can use the promo code PBN20 and you'll get 20% off, which is a good deal. But what you can do now to play is you can just go in and type in a zip code. So before we were kind of encouraging people to do the free trial, put their address in, figure things out. Now, right on the homepage, maybe I ought to bring it up. You can, pardon me, you can just plug in your zip code on the homepage or any zip code and you'll get to see what this thing does if you're worried about OPSEC and that type of thing. But to be honest with you, it typically looks like there's a lot more going on in Virginia. It's a pretty quiet night here. For my specs. The other really important thing that it does for you is creates this awesome report about the zip code or address that you place. And this thing will tell you all kinds of stuff. I mean, this thing gives you probably the biggest and most important thing for a prepper is your sort of past and patterns. And it tells you all about what's going on. It goes back 10 years, right? 10 years, man. Yeah, if you're just moving into a neighborhood or a part of the state, you punch this thing up and you're. Like, man. Yeah. I did the exact thing for my sister who was buying a house. Exactly. She was buying a house or is in the process of buying a house. And I said, well, let's take a look at her. Let's see what she's got going on. This is a really cool and unexpected feature too is the reports contacts. Yep. This is the easiest way I can find this information. Yeah, absolutely. Literally. There's no easier way to get this information that I know of. You can put it in your phone or something. You can just grab that information and put it in your phone. Oh, yeah. If you're out somewhere away from the house or you need to call somebody, call a hospital. Your kid's going to college. What if you have a kid that's going to college like in Salt Lake City or something? You put in their dorm address or their address where their apartment is, and you can monitor things that are going on there without having to bug your kid half the time. Yeah, and get ahold of someone that's there and get the, get the right number. Yeah. It would take you so important, just ungodly amount of time searching the web to find the right number to get ahold of someone. And that's, that's a ready-made list. Yeah. And you talked about kids in college, man, I'm not there yet, but this thing will be playing a role. My son goes off to college, I'm going to be drinking coffee looking at my zip code and that zip code, right? Because every day you can wake up and go, okay, what's going on in his world that he don't even know about? And it all plays into this kind of thing that I'm on lately, guys, which is like, what am I wasting my time looking at? Or what am I spending my time looking at? Because it's so easy anymore to lose an hour looking at nothing. Easily. You know what I mean? You go to, I go to X to check notifications and I can look down and go like, whoa, what happened to those 20 minutes? Yep. You know what I mean? Like, so I think it's really important to, you know, have some things to look at on a day-to-day basis that add value because it's real easy to, you know, you get into that situation where you're just burning time up and not learning anything. And these alerts, these the alerts that come off of this program can be sent to your phone. They can be tailored to you and that kind of thing. And then you're Dave, you had alerts. You had alerts USA for a little while, didn't you? Did you ever have one of those phone things? We all had those at one point, right? It wasn't relevant. That was the biggest problem, right? Yeah. Yeah. You're getting news about Iraq. You're getting news about Beirut. You're getting news about, you know, Syria conflict. And you're like, I mean, this is cool and all. I'll tell you what, it helped me make some podcasts, but I don't know how much it affected my overall preparedness level, you know, and that's kind of what, what this does a lot better. You brought up X. And another good thing about this, as opposed to X, there's no naked women. I don't have any naked women on my X, but I do have people dying constantly. I mean, I. Go to X all the time. You're breaking up a little, Dave. But you're naked. oh yeah. Yeah it's definitely made for that yeah that's that's the whole business model of social media man it's digital heroin you know what i. Mean it'll get you any way it can get you yep yeah no doubt about it um yeah like i said my ex is largely political banter and uh people getting stabbed and fighting and dying getting shot getting set on fire i don't know why i guess i watched that stuff i guess i watched that stuff more than i think but that's basically what it is um But, yeah, this isn't social media. You know what I mean? This is a distinctly you sort of product, and that's kind of what's cool about it. It's the antithesis to the just darts, random darts thrown at the board of alerts and prepping and that kind of thing. We had a chance to meet Brian in person at Prepper Camp, and I've had meetings with Brian in Tehran. And, Keith, you've had some meetings with Brian in Tehran too, right? I have, yep. I certainly have. I'd say the thing that is least represented in the website, the product, the service, the whole thing, the least represented has to be these two guys, has to be Brian and Teron, the creators of Be Prepared Solutions. And it's a shame because these guys are the real deal, man. Oh, 100%. In my opinion. Yeah. I mean, Brian is super, super into preparedness. And Teron, he's kind of the tech behind it. everything, I mean, you put those two together and the product they've put out, I mean, it's, it's, I mean, it's, it's fantastic. I think it's a very good marriage between the two gentlemen. I don't think that came out right. Um, yeah, they, they, uh, they sync very well together. And I think, you know, when they put this product together, you've got the best of both worlds. I mean, Tehran, you know, he's working the tech angle. And like I said, I've spoke to them and, you know, you and I have spoken, you know, we'll be chatting about something. And then 30 seconds later, he's like, Oh, I've already made the app. I'm like, what, what? It's like, Oh yeah, it's already done. Let me send it to you. I'm like, what did you just do? And I'm, you know, I'm not the most computer literate person out there. But yeah, it's, it's a fantastic product. I really, really like it. Yeah. Yeah. I saw that sort of the, underlying personality of Brian, the creator, one of the creators is the one half of be prepared solutions is sort of a, you know, he's got that sort of built in type a personality. Oh yeah. When we went to his camp, I, I got to look at his camper and he had, you know, I'm, I wasn't expecting the vehicle. I was pleasantly surprised at how well outfitted this thing was in, you know, air conditioner built in, uh, toilet built legitimate compost no no it wasn't a compost toilet built into the into the uh what was it like is that a conversion van i'm so. Bad i think i think it is yeah yeah i think it. Is ham radio antennas on the top i mean it was it was every every little thing you know what i mean and he their story is that he met taran and then taran was like oh I got to get prepared. And he sort of coached him all the way up and up the ladder, you know, through trainings and all that kind of stuff. So it's a, it's a hard thing. It's probably nearly impossible without becoming personalities themselves. And they're not necessarily interested in that. But it's a, it's a really hard thing to convey what these guys' background are, but I think it's important. Everybody know it because, you know, the source is everything, right? The source is a real important piece of the puzzle. Dave, you saw Brian out there sweating and dying at Prepper Camp with the rest of us, right? Did you guys have a chance to talk at all or not really? Yeah, we talked for a little bit there. And I was impressed. I was trying to wrap my head around this. And, of course, you know, you're hot. You're sweating. He's explaining all this stuff. And I'm not comprehending, you know, until– Until I actually saw the finished product and then it all clicked and I'm like, wow, this is great. Yeah, for sure, man. Yeah, they got, I should show the BeAdvised section. I don't think I've ever showed what they do with the BeAdvised. You're an advisor now, aren't you, Keith? I am. Dave Jones, you should probably be an advisor. Okay. The BeAdvised, I'll talk to the guys, but the BeAdvised, so here's the, Let me show everybody the intro page. The be advised section is where you take whatever you've gleaned from your creating your emergency plan or looking at your dashboard. And from there, you decide, well, I got some holes and I want to talk to somebody about how to fill the holes. And you got a list of advisors. But when you go to the website, a link above or just be prepared solutions that code and this is the page that'll pop up and it'll give you the ability to plug in an address, a zip code, whatever you want to do in order to, uh, watch it do its thing. And actually I think they increased it to a seven day. Um, Oh, I think they increased it to a seven day free. I'm pretty sure. Oh, fantastic. Yeah. So you can get a week. Anybody that does seven days on this is hooked forever. Yeah. I mean, it definitely is. Yeah, I mean, I like the seven days. I mean, the three days is good, but the seven days, it gives you that extra time to mess around with it. Oh, I like that. Let me bring this in to the monitoring part. Yeah. And this little thing on the left you'll have. This is all part of it. Yeah, okay. Yeah, I got to get on there. Yeah, I think you should because you got it, man. So here's Brian and here's Teron. You get an idea of those guys. Here's myself as an advisor. Here's Keith himself as an advisor. I mean, it's a good group here, man. We can definitely get you straightened up if you've got concerns and that kind of thing. And this is a piece of the platform that's extra. You've got to pay extra for consultation, of course, but it's still all in one place. And the benefit of it is if you want to share, if you're not too worried about OPSEC, you can share the entire plan that you've built And, you know, that's that sort of personalized thing. Let's see here. Be connected is coming soon. I can't wait to see that. uh this is really unique too i don't know if i've shown this off enough and actually these will populate i think these will populate my kits yeah these will populate what they recommend. I buy this is a great great option. Yeah this is amazing this is it's this is hard job I think it's hard for preppers to wrap their head around this and people in general because they've been had. People don't say that anymore. You've been had. But yeah, you've been had by websites that are like, here's the kit for you. You know what I mean? And you get it and you're like, I bought a... Guys, I forget. I can't remember the company. I wouldn't say the company on air anyway, but I bought a kit. One time from a competitor of Lima Tango Survival when they were a sponsor. And it was an amazing kit. I mean, I have never seen anything more poorly done in my whole life in the preparedness world. Like, I remember opening this kit up, and one of the biggest things about it that made me laugh is there were wood matches all throughout the box. Like, somehow the wood matches opened in transit. And they were just all over the box. It was amazing. I'd never seen anything so bad in all my years. And it wasn't cheap. You know, it wasn't like a $ 40 bag, you know, backpacking kit or something. Right. Yeah, you had said that it looked like one of your sons put it together in a box and then just taped it up and sent it to you. Yeah. I don't know. Now hearing you say that, well, you know what? It was a couple years ago, so that probably makes sense. Yeah, my youngest would have been like seven or eight or something. But yes, now I'd be very disappointed. I'd be very disappointed if they put a kit like that together. But yeah, so the way these kits are built, these are built because of the things that I put into my plan and the concerns that I have. So as you enter information into this thing, man, It's like your prepper brain, you know what I mean? And it just keeps chewing on what you're worried about. It keeps chewing on potential solutions. The more you look at certain things, the more you read certain things, the more attention you pay to certain topics. It keeps sort of building this, I mean, I hate to say the word profile, but that's what it is. You're either going to like it or not like it. But it builds this profile on what kind of prepper you want to be and what you want to prepare for. And then it spits out these kids, man. And there's a lot of them. Oh, yeah. And the cool thing about it is it populates right into your Amazon cart, and I did one of these just to test it out. Absolutely fantastic. And the cool thing about it is if, say, you pick whatever, and you see some of these prices, you're like, oh, it gets sticker shot. But when you pull them up, if you only have one person in your house, it's not going to give you a plan for five people. you know, one year, yeah, two people, one year, two year, whatever you have. And it goes right into your Amazon cart. The cool thing about it is if, let's say it puts in a headlamp or a battery bank, and let's say personally, you don't like that. You can remove that from your cart and add the one you want. Like I added a plan, then just for kicks, I realized I was out of cat food. So I added cat food and it went into the cart. So it doesn't lock you down just to that. You can add whatever you want to in it. Yeah, and this is something right here, man. See, this is something that really impresses me. I haven't looked at this before, this winter kit. It comes with a two-in-one propane heater and stove, which is pretty sweet. But it also comes with a combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm. You know what I mean? And that's just thinking. Yeah, you definitely need that. Yeah, that's great. Yeah. And some of these brands, these are not like, you know, bottom of the barrel, you know, stuff you can buy like at Harbor Freight. I mean, there, you'll see the brand names on there. So you'll recognize a lot of these. So it's not like, you know, there's some, you know, cheapy, you know, whatever just tossed in just, you know, just to get around off the kit. Yeah. I should have a Seaburn kit in here and it's Mira safety gear. Yep. Oh yeah. You know what I mean? It's the best of the best in terms of gas. I mean, Dave would be the best man to attest that, but. That's true. That's what it is. Yeah, they're top of the line. Yep. Whenever anybody asks me, I tell them go to Mirror Safety. Yeah, they're the company, man. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Let's see. Personal C-Burn Protection Package. I'll get a look at that since we've got Dave with us. Wow. Oops. I blew it up. Hmm. Yeah, it gives you everything, down to the duct tape or the tape to wrap your wrists and your ankles. Yeah. I wonder what kind of respirator refill it is. Oh, the NBC77 soft. Yeah, that's it. That's the one. Yeah. That's Mira. That's a Mira-designed product, an NBC77, I'm pretty sure. If they didn't design it, it's definitely something that they sell. I wrote for them for years, and I remember writing that thing down a bunch of times. Hazmat respirator adult. That's the CM6M, I think, by Mira. It looks like it. Yeah, this is a cool one, too. This kid's hazmat is cool. I remember those. Yeah. They have a water. If it's the same one, they have a canteen attachment. Yeah. Now, that one is a bit pricey because it looks– I mean, it's like an SC– well, it's not an SCBA, but that is– it's very difficult to find something to fit kids, the N95 mask and stuff like that. I mean, so you got your tape down there. I mean, shoot. Check that out. Decon. Your little sprayer. Yeah, I use that. I have Roundup in one of my– I walk around my yard with it, but I guess you get a clean one. That would be your decon little sprayer. Oh, yeah. Put some Clorox in there. I kind of want to go through the. Clorox in water, not straight Clorox. Let's dilute that a little bit. I don't think the respirator is working. Exactly. Let me decon you here. Well, you're taking your skin off, too. Yeah. 10-minute evac kit. Let's see what that's all about. That's a tough one. Oh, wow. Let's see. 10-minute evac. Backpack. Yeah, I like the ponchos. Dry bags. Yeah. I did a podcast episode. If you had five minutes to grab, what would you grab? Oh, that's cool, man. That's a great drill. Talk about a stressor. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Me and my kids used to play this game called... What was it called? 60 Seconds? You go into the shelter or something like that? Yeah, that was it. That was a fun game. Dude, we used to have so much fun playing that. You have 60 seconds to grab everything out of your house before a nuke hits and then you spend the rest of the game in different scenarios in this shelter and your family's in varying degrees of hell. Mom died last night. High energy bars, good. Personal water filtration. Yeah. Water treatment tablets. Looks a lot like my get home bag, yeah. Very good. Yeah, so like I said, these kits are not the standardized, like you might not get the same kit as me. You're going to get a kit that's built based off the things that you select when you build out your big old plan. And the plans are great, man. The plans I'm impressed with. The some of the deep, like, and remember, nobody's ever going to spit a plan out for you. That's really your plan. You know what I mean? Like you're always, I read through it and obviously I was like, well, these things I'd keep in these things I'd write in differently. And these, this has to go and this has to change. And that's all part of it. Um, but to have it in one place and to have it be in a living and breathing plan for you that you can modify is, you know, one of the biggest concerns, uh, at least in my house is always like, how much of the emergency plan in my head does everyone know? You know what I mean? Because that's the toughest part when you're the sort of the lead dog in preparedness, right? And I assume you can print that out when you get the plan, you print it out, put it on a clipboard, put it in a binder. Yeah. You can download it as a PDF. Yeah. Put it with your important docs are. So if you're away from the house or otherwise incapacitated, someone just grabs a clipboard and, And they start running through the checklist. Yeah, the only thing I think I need to do with mine is dividers. I think dividers would serve a lot because it's broken down by the weeks and months and all that kind of stuff. But it's still valuable. There's no doubt about it. Wow. And the thing about the service aspect, like when you sign up for this thing– You'll get to be equipped. You'll get to be aware dashboard. You'll get to be prepared plan. um but what you're what you're what we can't advertise i guess for them but this is going to resonate with you keith because you've met with these guys is this thing's going to grow and grow and grow like this the tool set that they provide is going to continue to grow and grow and grow. Cause these guys are always adding stuff, you know, perpetually adding things like Tehran can't help himself. You know what I mean? You can see it. You just got to put new things together. Yeah. That that's actually a really important point because if you get in today at the end of the year, you're going to have so much more than you did when you first signed up. Yep. So, I mean, this right here is, I don't know, if they wanted to put this on their website, I'd let them do it. I would have no problem whatsoever. Oh, that's the price of admission. Oh, my gosh. The archive, you have a huge archive. It's phenomenal, man. And when we first started, if you haven't played with it, it's kind of my fault, listeners, if you haven't played with it, because I have to take this and put it onto our PrepperBroadcasting.com website so you can access it easier. If I were you, I would go to BePreparedSolutions.co slash PBN slash search and bookmark that. And that gives you access to this thing. When we first started it, Tehran had really set it up in a way that it was filtering hard against some of the things that kind of makes us what we are. It was filtering against too much political stuff, filtering against, I don't remember at all. But I have since told him to sort of ease up. On the. You know the filters or whatever. So you're going to have access to a lot more stuff here. In this archive. You know what I mean. Like. I wonder what will come up if I asked it. How do I start a homestead. Oh. Right. Like if you wanted to start a homestead. And he came to the PBN. This is the PBN brain basically. This is what I call it. You know what I mean. Because it spits out. The archive answer. And you don't have to sign up for this. This just exists. These guys, when we started doing business, just built this just for us. You know what I mean? It was really nice of them to do that. And I told them, actually, they build it out. And I told them, you got to put an ad up on the top of this thing or I'm not going to feel good. You know what I mean? Because I know these things aren't free. So I said, put this ad up here so people can sign up or else it's going to feel weird. And actually, the ad is supposed to follow us. I told them to make sure that when we scroll down, the ad follows us. But that's on them. Starting a homestead involves thoroughly considering your motivations and expectations. And this stuff is pulled from episodes. And so are all these sources. So we got the Draven Rock homestead, the Genesis episode, Facts in Achieving Your Homestead Lifestyle. This is an episode. Draven Rock, same episode. This must have been their big intro episode to the Draven Rock Homestead. And, yeah, man, all of these things. Oh, this is such a good one. Jay Ferg and Sam Biggers talking self-reliance. I remember this episode. Yeah, me too. Yeah, that's a great. That's the episode I always refer to when people talk about being 100% self-reliant. Yeah. Yeah, then you can just play the episode right from there. You can read the highlights if you're like, you know what? Yeah. You just hit play and there you go. And the other cool feature, I don't know if it's on here or not. I always lose it. I always lose where it is, but somewhere in here, maybe it's off to the right. There's an opportunity to play. I don't know. I don't know where it is. It might not be on here, but there's an opportunity in in these episodes to play directly from the episode, but you can play certain lines. Maybe it's in the play episode option here. A tractor trailer crash can change your life in an instant. And when massive trucks collide with it. But yeah, it's, it's cool, man. This is a cool thing to play around with too. And this was all created by those guys give you an idea of sort of, you know, what could come, what will come. There's definitely going to be a tribe, um, I think it's a tribe. Is that what they were talking about? That might be the be connected. So be connected. It'll be sort of like the, um, community building aspect of be prepared solutions, right? So that you got your, you got your dashboard, your daily, what's going on. You got your plan, you got your advisors, you've got your, then you got your group, right? You got your kits, all that kind of stuff. I mean, it's, I think what it really does better than anything else is for the people who like, I don't have time to think about preparedness. Like this thing will think about your preparedness, you know? And I guess. Think how much times it's going to save folks from like scrolling, doom scrolling YouTube and stuff like that and getting away from all that AI slop. I mean, you could literally go in there and just type in your plan. If you want, you know, the next pandemic or, Or whatever, grid down or whatever it happens to be. You pick your little things and then you watch their videos, the videos that Brian and Teron put together. The graphics are fantastic. Yeah, their videos are great. And all the graphics, they don't look the same, but you can tell they came from kind of the same template. So you're looking at the same type of graphics. Color, very easy to read. It's not just all over the place. Yeah. It's going to save people a lot of time. You don't have to go to YouTube and search and watch this guy, not that guy. I think a lot of people are. Looking for that answer. I don't know if it's true, but in my head, I feel like there are a lot of people looking for that answer. Not completely hands-off, but I'm busy. I want to be prepared. I know it's crazy out there, but there's no way I'm sitting down this weekend and crafting a emergency preparedness plan. I'm not going to study up and learn how to do X, Y, and Z or what I should buy for this. And really, I think be prepared solutions is like just a, it's just a trust thing, right? Once people start to trust the service for what it is, then it'll be, it'll be something that, you know, everybody can use. And just like you said, every plan, every plan isn't going to be, you know, tailored 100% to you, but I would guess to say probably, 85% of it would be relative right on the spot. And if there's something you don't like, you just kick it out and you add something else. If you don't agree with a particular stance, you kick it out, then you add your own. But I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised that they're going to be able to find almost all of what they need. Yeah. And, you know, it beats the alternative. Start with a blank page. Yeah, yeah. If your plan is to go somewhere and do something. You have a bad plan. Yeah, no doubt about that. That's a Dave Jones epic right there. But yeah, I mean, we're looking at, you know, what we're looking at right now in the world. It's one of those situations that I always talk about, which is, you know, you have to prepare to some degree or else the way the news is set up, you're going to go insane. You know what I mean? There's no way people can absorb The pneumonic flu is here. France is on fire. Ukraine is blowing up all the oil refineries. The price of gas is going crazy. U.S. is still fighting Iran. Canada is going to war with the United States. Yeah. You know, this is so much stuff, man. And it's like every day I fall back. I don't know about you guys, but every day I fall back on all this stuff that I've done over all these years and just go like. Oh, God. You know, like, thank God. I got started in this when I did, because I can't imagine being somebody who has no plan. No, no, nothing. You know, me too, because I, I don't think I could build the crap that I, I have built today. Over the years. Yeah. That's a good point. Oh my gosh. My back couldn't take it. Your back probably hurts just thinking about building it all. Yeah. So now it's, it's in place and we're at a point where we're, you know, deciding what to keep, what to, you know, we're in a good place. I mean, compared to, oh my gosh. It's a terrifying thought. Obama administration. Yeah. I mean, and you guys at least have the benefit of rural. Imagine being urban and completely unprepared. You know what I mean? Yeah. And watching and waking up every day and instead of looking at a be aware dashboard, looking at, you know, your phone news. Well, yeah. And the constant stress that you have of being connected. I mean, that takes a toll. The other day I forgot my phone and and everybody freaked out but me. And I'm like, dad's never coming back. He's not i left it at home yeah i drove away into town i didn't have it on me um i won't go into it but. Oh i know you don't have to i've been there i've been in your boat they think you know They think you're just going to drive into oncoming traffic and die and they'll never find out about it. You know what I mean? Yeah. Years of proficiency and efficiency goes out the window the moment you can't be contacted. Yeah. My youngest, when he was really little, so it wasn't anything like that, but he always used to tell me when he was waiting for me to pick him up after school, he'd be like, I just thought you got hit by a car crossing the street. Cause you were five minutes late. This was not even like, not even if I'm not late, like just something that he would think about. We would cross the street to go to the school and he, I guess I would cross the street to leave. And it just in his head, he'd be like, yeah. And I would just think about like all the things he watches me do. You know what I mean? Physically and with my hands and workouts and you know what I mean? Like, and then he goes, yeah, that dude will just get hit by some random car on a four lane walk across the street. But it's like you said, Dave, right? You go to see, you tell them, I went and seen this thing and I went and seen that amazing thing. And they're like, yeah, whatever, Dad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You just suck the cool out of it. Way to go. Yeah. But yeah, man, that's, to your point, the perpetual connectivity, I think it's breaking people personally. I think it's breaking the unprepared. I really do. There is a stress level. That we have today that we did not have a very short time ago. Yeah. And I don't know. I think it's too much. It's going to take its toll. I think it is. I think when you see those lunatics on TikTok, I think some of that's part of it. You know what I mean? Well, 25 or 30 years ago, the only way we would learn about France on fire would be from Peter Jennings or Tom Brokaw. Yeah. One of the– Other than that, yeah, they do like an eight-minute at the time, 6 p.m. from 6.01 to 6.08. There'd be a bunch of video of all the crap going on in France, and then it's on to some domestic issue, and then they do that. And you wouldn't hear about it again. No. You wouldn't hear about it days in a row. You know what I mean? You'd be like, oh, my God, I can't believe. And if you missed that newscast, you had to wait till 10 or 11. Yeah, maybe a local newscast. Yeah, that's a good point. And see if they cover it again in the 10 or 11, you know, see if it's important enough. There was no CNN, you know, CNN. No, no way. No weather channel. Did you understand that we have a level of stress that's being pushed upon us that you have to pay attention to the weather 24-7. Why? Why? Yeah, and I think the big difference between us and people who are younger than us is that they don't know the other world. Right. They only know the world of everything, all the time, all at once, every day. And they're like, this is just life. This is just, I guess, what dad went through and what granddad went through. You just got to man up and deal with it. And I think that's what I think is really tearing people apart. Particularly if they're completely unprepared. If they got to wake up and go, oh, look, what happened in Russia? Oh, my God, it's going to be COVID all over again. And there's going to be no food. And I don't have any food in the house anyway. Speaking of that. I started the prepping up with the Jones's YouTube channel. No, you didn't. I did. There's two whole videos up. Oh, snap. Two whole videos. What's our introductory? You got to go on there and see the welcome video because it's hilarious. It is so not me and Maria. Maria and I. It is so not you? So not. We're sitting there and we're talking and welcome and da, da, da, da. Oh, my God. Dave Jones, the NBC guy. I just popped your name into YouTube and got a video from Trading Post in the woods for eight years ago. Wow. It's an hour-long video. Oh, my goodness. A frank discussion with expert David Jones and Eve Gonzalez from Trading Post in the Woods. Wow. Holy crap. I searched Dave Jones. I should have searched up prepping up with the Joneses. Yeah. Yeah, we got two whole videos. And the second video, I did the thing on Russia and the pneumonic plague. Oh, wow. You guys are matching and everything. Yeah, how about that, huh? Can I show it off? It's public anyway. It's hilarious because it is so not what is going to happen. Yeah, it looks nice, man. Thank you. That's our studio. Maria does look like she's about to slap you, though. That's normal. That's normal right there. All right, I'm subscribing, man. Bingo. Oh, look at that. Thank you. Little banner up there. Your thumbnail is great. Look at that thumbnail. Man, guys, you've got to go subscribe to Prepping Up with the Joneses. I'm going to subscribe once we're done, absolutely. We're going to post this on X right now, actually. Let's throw this bad boy up in X because everybody's going to want to do it, especially if you're putting out some sweet thumbnails like that. That's cool, man. Thank you. You are the man to tell us all about that, too. It just seemed like, hey, I've got to get on there and talk about this, you know. Hey, look at that. I'm going to... I need to share. I want to share a link direct to that video. Thanks. Because that's the one. Sorry. Because if anybody knows about NBC, it's definitely Dave. So I would... Gosh, I remember reading this back in the 80s about the pneumonic plague and how Russia was tinkering with it and trying to get it to be more lethal and all that kind of stuff. And that was back before you could splice genes and do all that stuff, you know? God almighty. I hate it. I don't understand it. I don't understand it, why we're doing it. Well, it's the anti-plague center. Yeah, I saw the anti-plague center where we have plagues. The anti-plague center where all the plagues are made. Yeah. We have to make the plague in order to fight the plague. Right? Yeah, just don't drop the test tube. That's exactly how we handle the Taliban, too, by the way. And Dave, you probably know this, and maybe you can answer this question. So we don't know exactly what happened with this young lady, 28 years old, potential lab accident. But wouldn't she be like in... And I'm going to mess up a full positive pressure suit, you know, like you see in the movie. That was what I was thinking, man. Yellow and orange pumpkin people walking around. And if she dropped it, then I'm sure she hits a button and there's this protocol where people come flying out of nowhere and clean it up and decon. But I don't know. I mean, obviously, we all trust Russia as far as we could throw them. But something's just not adding up. They're on par. Yeah, there's too many questions because, you know, even if it is pneumonic plague, it's easily treatable because it's bacterial. And a 28-year-old should be able to fight that off pretty good. It is winter and you could get sick and you can get pneumonia and die, but it's just super uncommon. And when you start stacking the questions, you know, compared to the answers that we got, it just doesn't add up. So I would keep watching it and remember my trigger, death. Yeah. Death is my trigger. I mentioned that. Oh, you know what? I was on the Trad Cat Night podcast today and I mentioned that. Oh, okay. Yeah. I was saying that's what you want to look for. People dying, people around you dying, neighbors dying. Yeah, that's the big one. That's the difference. But yeah, the only thing that freaks me about it, because once I found out, you know, doxycycline and you're good, I was much less concerned about it. But one of the things that does freak you out is, well, maybe she didn't survive it because it's not the same old thing. Exactly. Right. Maybe it's something Soviet. And if they'd been tinkering on it since the 80s, you would have thought they would have made some progress. Yeah. That's the scary part, the progress. But to Keith's point, is the lady sipping a freaking... vodka and walking through the lab in high heels and a dress, you know, and she's got a test tube in her hand? No way. No. And if there was an accident, there's all kinds of protocols to report and document. They know right now. if there was an accident or not. Yeah. And, and their actions kind of made me think that, that there was an accident because you don't go for pneumonia. You don't go quarantining over 200 people. Right. You know, they came in contact with, you. Know, I found that we should definitely err on the side of human error in most cases, you know, they only, The only conspiratorial side of it that I started thinking about was, okay, I put myself in Putin's shoes. I'm tired of dealing with the Ukrainians. I can't hit them with a biological weapon because the U.S. is going to be up my ass if I do that. But we could screw up and have a serious infection spread from Russia into Ukraine in the midst of winter and kill off some people. And, you know, I don't know what their access to antibiotics is. They're in a pretty bad way. So that could be tough to deal with. But that's, you know, that's me way down the strategic and conspiratorial sort of mindset. Probably the real story, just like COVID, is bullshit. I got some on me. Yeah. You know what I mean? And then the whole world has to deal with your screw up. Well, and if you remember when COVID happened, it was Chinese New Year. Mm-hmm. And they didn't lock down travel. They let millions of people go all over the place. And I think that was China saying, well, you know what? If we're going to get it, everybody's. Going to get it. Everybody else is getting it. Let everybody level the playing field. I'll never forget it. And I'll remember forever how much they skewered Trump in the beginning when he was like, don't let anybody in from China. And they were like, what are you crazy? He did the right thing and bought valuable, valuable time. I mean, yeah. Yeah. Don't get me started. Nancy Pelosi down in Chinatown at, uh, You know, it's okay. It's okay. Oh, I forgot all about that. Oh, yeah. I did, too. Just the craziness. Craziness. If you want to get nostalgic, go search. Yeah. Go to PrepperBroadcasting.com and search COVID cast. Oh, my goodness. Go search the, we called it something else, too. The Corona cast first before it became COVID because we were on it pretty early. And you can hear Dave Jones and myself and a bunch of other hosts every single week figuring this thing out and remarking on this stuff. Remember the whole- Remember the whole cruise ship situation? Yeah. No, it wasn't a cruise ship. They brought a military ship in. Wasn't it a military ship? And they were putting old people on it or something? There was a cruise ship and there was a military ship. Oh, that's it. They were both. Yeah. And the cruise ship, holy cow, they kept those people on that cruise ship and it was terrible. Yeah. The cruising class is always interesting to me, man. You never know what's like. It's like the cruise ship vacation itself is part of the casino experience. Like you roll the dice. How's this going to go? Am I getting sevens or snake eyes with this thing? You know? But speaking about people and, you know, I guess just overall sort of failures in people, the Did you guys see the report on the Charlie Kirk security situation? No. The Utah University or wherever he was at put out their report on the whole security protocol from the start of the event. And man, it really was... It really was a lot of human error. It was a lot of human oversight on both sides, TPUSA security. There was a lot of failed opportunity. They spoke to the sheriff's department like two or three weeks or something before the event, and they said they didn't really have the time they needed. They were somebody important at Utah. Insecurity was on vacay. Basically, the university was like, let's not do it because I don't think we can get it. as secure as we need it to be. And, uh, it sounded to me based on the report, like TP USA, people were like, we'll handle it. And they didn't really handle it. So, you know, I'm still waiting on a report from Butler. Yeah, really? Oh, good luck with that. But again, like these things, man, as fun as it is to be like the CIA, the, you know, whatever I, I just chalk it up to people who suck. At their job. And we're ripe for that, right? We are ripe for that kind of situation because we went how many decades now going, well, don't put him in even though he's the best. Put her in. Or don't put that guy in because he's the best. Put this guy in for another reason. Yes. And I think, you know, well, I know for a fact. I know. There is a difference between the best candidate and the best looking candidate for the job. You know what I mean? Yeah. The other thing about it, too, that's weird. I'm out to lunch on this, and this is going to sound probably crazy to some people, but I've been thinking a lot about work-life balance, and I don't know if that shit works. You know what I mean? Work-life balance in some professions, I think you've got to give that up. You can't be like, all right, it's Butler PA. We've got to get this place locked down. We've got to find all the spots. but it's also Friday at three and I'm done at three. So I'm going home work life balance. You know what I mean? I just think there's some positions that we're seeing, we're seeing that we're seeing that sort of like I'm done at this hour. So sorry. This is what it is. You know what I mean? It's cool if you work at McDonald's, but like not cool if you got to run drones over rooftops to make sure snipers can't set up on top of them to shoot the, uh, the former president of the United States. So I don't know. It's a weird thing. It's a weird, it's a conundrum at the moment in my head. Because it is nice. You know, it's nice to have that good cushy work-life balance, but you see this sort of. Well, it seems like, uh-oh, the boss is giving me the hook. Are you getting fed? Well, no, I got to, well, that too. But tomorrow they're going to inject some radiation in me and check my heart and all that kind of stuff. Radiation? Radiation. The nbc guy's getting radiation. That's kind of ironic isn't that i know come in with your own geiger counter i've had. It before if i turn the lights off you'll see me glowing. Oh man well i mean you know we're just going on and on we can wrap it up if uh if you got things to do it's no biggie. Well you know i always have things to do that's for sure i have a list. For sure well folks uh You got the link in the show description in the screen above, bepreparedsolutions.co slash go slash PBN or partner slash PBN, or you can just go to their website. But if you like what you see, use the code PBN20, you'll get 20% off because that's a big number. Really what it does for you, just put it in perspective, is it takes a year of Be Prepared Solution services and puts it under $ 200 for the year. So that's a pretty good deal, man. That's fantastic. Yeah. For what you're going to get, I mean, good luck. To get something like that tailored to you, the only other way you could do it is if you call me or Keith or Dave. You know what I mean? And that's $ 150 an hour. So you get the whole suite for about that much for the year. Yeah. It's a great deal. It is. It's worth every penny. Well, I appreciate you gentlemen for coming on tonight. Anytime. Absolutely. And talking this thing up. Keith, is it too far away to tell everybody about the book? No, no. Yeah. So chapter 18 was uploaded a couple of days ago. 19 is ready to go. Chapter 20, which will be the last episode or episode 20 on the podcast will be the last episode for the book. I've got the cover that's up on X and I've got a lot of it laid out. I'm going to go through Amazon, the Kindle publishing app or whatever it's called. The plan is to have it December, late December at the latest. If I can get it prior to that sometime in November, I certainly will. But a lot of editing. I got to make sure everything's 20 episodes. I got to go back and make sure everything's meshing and I didn't misspell somebody's name or I've got the timeline wrong. And then I need to have it actually proofread by somebody. Cause I don't trust myself to proofread it because I've read, you know, I've read the chapters a hundred times. So yeah to get it off to somebody to actually proof it for me yeah and then get it up there and uh it'll she'll be for. Sale awesome awesome so we got the new book from keith we got the game from dave jones. Yeah goodness yeah we'll make sure. We get them both in the uh i know it seems like it's far away but it ain't we'll get them both in the uh Prepper's Black Friday catalog this year for sure. Excellent. Because that thing will be right around the corner, man. I'm already working on it. All right, gentlemen, I won't hold you up anymore. I do appreciate your time. PBM family, check out BePreparedSolutions.co and use that code PBN20.
