If you have a telephone, you can call here's our number three four seven two zero two zero two two eight. Again that number is three four seven two zero two zero two two eight. You can call in, you'll get poured it over to the show, and then you can actually listen to the show via the phone. We know there's several of you out there that call in that way. We appreciate y'all doing that. He as a bonus. If you have a question or something to talk about, or a gripe or complaint, you can press the number one. You get dropped into the queue and then you can talk to me live on the air about whatever you want to We can jump off topics, or we can stay on the topic, and hopefully tonight if there's one of y'all listening, you will call in and talk. But anyway, so in this show tonight, we're gonna be playing with a little bit of fantasy. I had a kind of an odd coincidence the last couple of shows where I do a show or I start talking about a show, or I start thinking about a show, and then all of a sudden it's in the news. So I thought, what the heck, I'm gonna do this tonight, man, I'm going to talk about the lottery in the hopes that one of my listeners or hopefully myself, will win it and can funnel some money into much needed prepping. So anyway, you know, sometimes you have to take a break from the doom and the gloomy and you gotta have fun. So tonight we're not going to be teaching a skill. We're not going to be talking about a cool prepper tool or anything. We're going to be talking about what we would buy if we won the lottery. Now, granted, this is going to be kind of a fantasy thing, but this can be whatever. It can be the multi state ones where you receive millions of dollars, it could be the simple you know, you win one hundred bucks in a scratch off. What items are? What things would you buy? Where would you go if you had the money. Remember this is not a vacation, this is prepper related. So chat room and those of you on the phone, that's your question. What items would you buy if you won, let's just say a million or five million dollars. Let's just set it at one million. That's pretty reasonable. You can either get match five numbers or maybe do a scratch off and win a million dollars. Let's just say you you played you luck of the draw, you got one million dollars. What are some items that you would buy or where are some things that you would go that are prepper related? For those of you that have called in, you know, feel free to on if you're on the phone, press one, you can talk to me all that kind of good thing. You know. The obvious things, of course, are going to be guns or houses, homesteads, bunkers, food. But I want to know what you would buy if you had the money, so chat rooms start loading it up. Personally, I would. Move to. I'd move. I'd moved from where I'm at so right now, I live in an Hoa and it's dang hard to kind of outside prepping. Inside preps is no big deal, but the outside preps. You know, I don't have a garden, I can't have animals, I can't have anything like that. So I would move. Personally, I'm looking at like North Georgia, maybe Southeast Tennessee, Western North Carolina. If there's anybody in the chat room that lives in Cleveland, Tennessee, or Hihawassee, Georgia, or Murphy, North Carolina, let me know what I'm in for. Man, let me know what the negatives are to live in that area, you know, for any of y'all that are living in the appalations in the chat room. You know, further in the chat say, hey, appllations is great. Here's one of the negatives. I would buy a farm, maybe not like a big farm, but just a homestead. You know. I want to have a house on a hill. I want to have a massive bunker built into the hillside, you know, pasture land down below me. You know, that's kind of what I would do if I won. So to the chat room, let's says one person would buy back their sanity. That may be a steep cost. I could very much buy back my stady case of Jack Daniels would do that. In fact, nope, nope, a barrel of Jack Daniels, single barrel would do. I would go up to Jack Daniels and I would buy me a barrel. I think they're about fourteen thousand dollars that'd buy my sanity. Other choices I see in here are a new log home, more solar panels, bats. I don't get you would buy solar panels and bats. I'm guessing that's for the mosquito problem. Somebody else says, land a small home with a root seller. Absolutely, a thirty five hundred diesel dually with a fifth wool camper to go and visit areas for the summer months. At there you go, Get you an RV and a new truck. Somebody says they would move to Kentucky remote bug out location. They would build greenhouses, full will drive yep. Absolutely. Ooh, now there's a good idea full wheel drive truck with a snorkel. So yes, so you can forward a river and stuff. Other choices I see are bug out vehicles, four by fours, SUVs, motorcycles ATVs. Oh yeah, ah, there we go. Pappy's got it right. I want a compound like Ted Nugent has. Absolutely, ma'am, get me a compound where I can put some wild animals out there and go out there and hunt any time. I won't get me some zebra steaks for the night. Absolutely. Oh, now that's a great idea. Melenda Lee in the chat room has got it perfect. I would take tons of classes in training. That is a freaking investment, right there. Man, that is thinking correctly. You win the money, you're not gonna blow it on useless junk. Well, I'll say useless junk. You're not gonna blow it on junk that you may never need, hopefully we will never need one day. Take classes and training. Man, expand that mind, Expand the training, Expand your education. Dude. That that that's the winner in my opinion, right there, Melenda Lee wins it. Tonight somebody else says batteries root sellers four, six fifty all will drive. That's awesome. So we y'all keep them coming, keep suggesting what you would do. And I'm gonna jump into this while y'all are doing that. So, so what are some of the tips or tricks that you might want to know in the event that some win. So we're all looking around here tonight and we're thinking, yeah, this would be great. Well, you know, hey, Mega millions is in two hours on the East coast. Everyone thinks that they have enough maturity if they want that they could handle the money. But in reality, you really don't every one of us that if we won, we need to hire an attorney. We need to hire an attorney to be able to take escrow of the ticket and to keep everybody else from bombarding us. Another person you need to hire is a financial advisor, because you're going to need someone to help you set up accounts and trusts, and someone to keep all of your new friends and family at bay. Finally, you're going to need an accountant. Yep, somebody says CPA in the chat room. You need an accountant to handle tax matters and to keep the irs and other tax collectors off your back. So if you do a quick inner web search, you're gonna get a lot of common tips and tricks not compiled, a bunch of them, but the biggest one was, you know, take your time and possibly don't take the lump sum. So the challenge for any lottery re winner is getting over the psychological shock and adjusting to the identity of a wealthy person. So you know you're you know, it's it's a heck of a shock when you scratch that ticket or when you match those numbers and you see, okay, I'm now a millionaire. Well you're not quite a millionaire. You know, the taxes are probably going to take half of that, So you're a you know, five hundred thousand there if you want to call it, or half a millionaire. So that's going to be you know, your state tax your federal taxes, they're going to take a large chunk of that. If you're investing it, there's going to be more taxes. So you know, you're going to need to hire the people. Once you get over the shock and you adjusted the kind of a new identity or the idea of a new life, you need to start thinking about, you know, the money itself, and how do you prepare for your wealth? You know, how do you mentally prepare for what's going to occur? And you know, a'st lea as much as you can anyway. So a lot of people buy tickets on a whim and they don't think what could happen if they actually want So they just now just you know, here's two bucks, here's a dollar whatever, and then they don't ever think about the repercussions if they actually win. And of course we're all going, I know what the repercussions are. Well, there are some things that you need to do if you actually win on that ticket, there are things that you need to do. So the first thing you need to do is you need to sign the back of the ticket. So a lottery ticket is known as what is called a bearer instrument. And what this means is that whomever signs the ticket and presents a photo ID can claim the price. If you don't have the back of the ticket signed and you lose it, then you are sol So if you buy a ticket, and that's one of the things they say, regardless if you win or not, as soon as you buy the ticket, sign the back of it, but especially if you as soon as you match those numbers, or as soon as you scratch it off, flip it over, and then your best signature handwriting, sign your name you may want to sign, not take up the whole ticket in case you want to use like the name of a trust or something. We'll get in a little bit later, but sign the back of the ticket so that you can use your photo ID to claim the price, because like I said, a lotto ticket is a bear instrument. All right, back to the chat room real quick. Let's see somebody would purchase anonymity. That's a good one. Uh, take the time to get into top physical condition. Yeah, do some do some class things for my daughter or son in law, grass and grandsons. Yep. A compound will solve a lot of people issues. Absolutely, So yeah, go buy myself a compound. Then I would, absolutely if I had the money, I would do it. I'd go out in the middle of nowhere. I'd buy everything I ever need. I'd put up a ten foot fence, excuse me, ten foot fence with barbed wire on the top I've had. I'd have laser motion detectors and cameras and all kinds the good stuff. Absolutely, move the heck away from everybody, turn off the TV and not worry about the world and all the stuff's going on to it. Private island, somebody says they would purchase a private island. Absolutely, private island would be nice. So after you have signed your ticket, the second thing to do, and this is the most important thing to do, and that is nothing. Don't do anything. You have a few months to claim that ticket. Go slow, let the dust settle, let the shock and excitement wear off, take some time to think about what just happened and form a plan. So you take the ticket, put it in a safety deposit box if possible. If you don't have one of those, then put it play at someplace very safe. You want to make sure that you make a photocopy of it first, front and back. You want to make sure that when you make a photocopy of it, you actually put it on the glass bed of the copier, not in the paper hopper. So on the copy machines, you know, you stick the paper on top and you press the thing and it sucks the paper down and makes a copy and then spits it out. Well, that little piece of paper on a lotto ticket ain't gonna handle that real well. So just f yi. If you win and you go to make a copy of that ticket, put it actually on the glass bed so that you don't risk shredding the ticket. And you want to make sure you make a copy front and back. From now on, once you put take the ticket and you put that ticket up, the copy is what you're going to be working with. So from now until the day that you claim that ticket to you take it to the lottery office, you're gonna be working with the paper copy. That's going to be the one when you know, you go to the lawyer and you go, here's you know, here's the ticket. It's proof I'm really not a nut job. You know. That's what you need to work with. That small piece of paper is very fragile and it can be lost or damaged very easily. So put it someplace safe, make a copy of it. And then also, now is the time when you really start thinking things through. And so from the very beginning, once you win, I mean literally, once you figure out, hey, I've matched all my numbers, you have to adapt a very high level of op SEC and comsack. And if you need a refresher course, you can go back and listen to my shows. Some of my very first shows, we're on Operations security and Communications Security. Ek in the chat room says, you have to be careful because some copiers will ruin your ticket. Yeah, that's a good point. Those tickets are temperature sensitive, so if you get it wet, don't put it in the microwave to dry it out. Don't put it in a toaster oven to dry it out. Don't put it in a window seal where the sun can get to it, or a hair dry or anything like that. If the ticket, if that paper gets hot, it's gonna turn black and you will ruin the ticket, So good job. Yeah, then that's a good idea, Papy says. Photo or digital photo. Yeah, take your phone and take a picture of it, but don't post it on Facebook. You know, use the picture that you're using as your legal your legal stuff. But you do want to you don't want to Twitter that thing, ad mojo, so op. Second concept, you need to keep a low profile. Don't tell anybody that you're one, as bad as it is. And you know, as much as anybody wants to climb on the roof and scream and you know, go juberant and call all their friends and family, don't do that. Don't tell anybody that you've won, other than your spouse, or maybe not even your spouse, depending on your situation. I probably might take my ticket and go to the lottery office, cash it out and leave the country and not tell ek. So anyway, combined with the disorientation of a sudden wealth, the addition of sudden fame can create a huge emotional train. So you run around, you start telling everybody, hey, look I won, I'm a multi multi millionaire. And then that's going to create some problems and we're going to get into those little ways long he can in the chat room says, what no lottery winning party, Well, that's for later. You don't want to do that up front. You want to give it a few months first, then you can have a lottery winning party. Ah here she e k says, she can hear me, and she can hear me, and basically I can run, but I can't hide. It's that tracking chips she had embedded in me last week. So anyway, let me get back on track. I'm gonna get off here and get in trouble. So one of the things to think about is change your phone number, get you a burner phone. You know, when when winners, when someone wins the lottery, they're going to expect to feel the demands from friends, family, in general public. You know, you know that is everybody's going to be your friend. Everybody's going to come out of the woodwork to befriend you or hey buddy or a long lost cousin or hey, I'm graduating college soon and everybody's going to be calling you or trying to hit you up on Facebook or whatever. You know, just just change a number, get you a burner phone, and turn the other phone off. For a while. After an initial shock and excitement, you're probably going to begin to feel a lot of pressure from others and they're going to be pressuring you to share the winnings. And there's a lot of times that people report that, you know, people that have won, they feel guilty and they even suffer from low self because everybody in the world feels they are entitled to your money, because that's what money does to people. And if you don't think people are evil, and you don't think people are ruthless, then you just wait till money's involved, because you will absolutely see pure evil in people if they are after your money, not just the lottery that actually goes for a state planning. You know, the parent passes away and you've got brothers and sisters or siblings, you're going to see just how ruthless and evil human beings can be when there's money involved. It literally and truly they say the root of you know, money is the root of evil, and it's it is it's the love and it's the lust of money. So before warn there a lot of winners experience joy and mirth at first. Again, you know, they're they're like, you know, crap, this is awesome, and then they're gonna have to deal with a lot of stress. And there's a psychologist, Stephen Goldbart actually coined the phrase. It's called sudden wealth syndrome, and some of the symptoms include feeling isolated from friends, guilt over good fortune, and extreme fear of losing the newly gained money. So you got all the money and then you're really really afraid that you excuse it all or something's going to go wrong. Well, the best way to avoid that is to minimize your social footprint. You know, like I said, turn off the phone, don't tell anybody you got it, close your Facebook account, close your Twitter account. You can always reactivate them later, but minimize your social footprint while you're taking thought of the plan to what you do with your winning. So you might have to insulate yourself a little bit like I said, you know, close your Instagram, close your Twitter, close your Faates book. And you really want to go the route of OPSEC, you are going to have to watch what you say. You're going to have to watch what you do, and your actions could betray you. So you go to you say, well, I'm still going to go back to work, and there's not gonna be any deal. You're not gonna be able to go to work the first day or two. The first day or two after you win, you need to stay home because your emotions and you're adrenaline is going to be so out of whack. You're not gonna be able to keep your mouth shut. You're the first time that someone crosses you, you're gonna go. Screw you. The horse you rid on, the horse you rode in on. I won the lottery last night. I don't need this. You can't do that. So take a few days off just to say, you know what, I have had some events happen in my life. I need to take a day or two off and just take a you know, take a sick day or take some take some time off and then come back to work. Lottery flu, there you go, that's a good word for it, a lottery flu. But you know, seriously, take a day off, take a day or two off, figure out what you're gonna do, compose yourself, and then you probably want to go back to work, or you just at least call your boss up and say, look, I've had something happen in my life to my spouse, and I are going through something right now, and I need to take two weeks off or I need to resign that kind of thing. And you know, if you go back into work, then you're really gonna have to watch what you say, and you're really gonna have to watch what you do. But you know, yeah, go the sick route. Man. Just say, look, I've I had something happened last night and I'm not gonna be able to work. I still want to, you know, I'm still I'm not quitting. I'm not turning in my notice. I just need to take two weeks off. And if you knew, if you do anything else, I mean, just claim the uh you know, I don't know if you could claim the emergency the Family Emergency Medical Leave Act because technically you won't have a doctor's excuse or anything. But you know, I don't know. Maybe you could just tell them, you know, look, here's two hundred bucks. Shut the heck up. I don't know anyway, everybody else says I quit in colorful adjectives and adverbs. They say, I quit, And you can do that, but not immediately, you know, you again, make sure certain things are in place before you do that. Leaving a steaming pile of something on the boss's desk is not good enough. They still need it in writing. So the fourth thing to do, as everybody is saying, is you need to assemble a team. So call an attorney, call a financial planner, and an accountant. And while you're deleting your social media accounts or at least inactivating them, you need to talk stock of who your friends are. So you should begin to develop a team of advisors that you can trust. And it may need to include an estate planning attorney, a competent accountant, maybe an insurance agent, and then a reputable financial advisor. And these are not people that you just google. You know, you don't want to just go to the yellow Pages and go to the Yellow Pages and go, you know, oh, well this guy looks good. No, you need to start visiting them. Actually visit the CPA's, visit the attorneys, that kind of thing. So let's take a break real quick. I'm actually go went past my time on there, So let me take a break, let me grab a sip of water, read the US in the chat room, and we will be back in just a seconds. In g Man, it shouldn't. So I'm reading in the chat room, and for for those of you that are called in, we appreciate you calling in, but you are miss something in the chat room. So am I Gray is we are we're voting on the new name. So when one of us wins, we're all going to move to a private island and we're going to rename that private island. And the we're we're voting on names. But I have to say one thing. The state motto or the national anthem needs to be go away. We don't want you so that any outsiders won't come into our to our island. So if that's just that's going to be on the flag, it just says go away. Anyway back to it, So begin visiting CPAs and the attorneys and you know, start to talking to people, and you may just want to walk into the to the shop and go you know, hey, look, I just inherited a large sum of money and I need to know what to do. And you need to make sure that your BS meter is working and be prepared to walk away if it doesn't smell right. So there's gonna be a lot of attorneys that are going to go, yeah, we can help you, and they're going to gout sales pitch and you know, I only need thirty percent of the winnings or you know whatever. Just you know, just you don't have to say I won the lottery. In fact, I wouldn't say I won the lottery, Just say I just inherited a large sum of money, or that you know, I've come into a large sum of money from an inheritance and I need to know what to do or find some people that you trust and you know, build your team. And so there's a reason why you need to build a team, and you actually need a team. It's not just the attorney. There's actually several people. But the first one is in case you want to consider claiming the winnery pride the lottery prize as a blind trust. So this is where I was talking about. When you sign the back of the ticket, make sure you you know, you kind of sign your name, but don't take up the entire back of the ticket because you might want to write in the name of a trust. So many states permit a lottery winner to utilize a blind trust, and some states allow you to be you know, anonymous, and you don't have to report your name or anything. So you can sign the ticket and you can claim it and it's no big deal. But in states where they don't require your identity or that in the states where they do require your identity, you may want to think about using a blind trust to claim the winnings in order to protect your identity and your privacy. And a lot of people choose a trust for that for that purpose. And so that's going to be that you know, when the name of the winner is looked up, you're going to find the trust. So if you're looking up who won three hundred million dollars, you know, two or three years ago, they'll have it listed, but it'll say the name of the trust and it's not going to have your name. So EK is saying, look above you, sexual life does not work that way. Have to sign one way or the other. Oh okay, So apparently e K has already been doing some work on this just in case I won. So she's saying that it doesn't work like that. You actually have to sign it one way or the other. So you have to have signed it as your person or you have to sign it as the trust. Well again, that's it's a really good thing. And maybe the lawyer or you know what, just out of giggles call the call this the a lot of commission and ask them, you know, hey, which one's better. But she's saying, it's an either or you either sign your name or you sign us a trust. You can't do both. So that's a really good good thing. Glad you glad you brought that one in there. UK. A trust is a really good idea because the people that are going to be looking for your money well, there's gonna be a lot of people that are gonna be looking for your money. And it could be for handouts, it could be from charities, it could be for investment opportunities. You know, there's gonna be a lot of people that they're gonna be all of a sudden your friend, and especially if your name is on there, they're gonna you know, they're gonna have your name. And it doesn't take much in Google to find somebody. I mean literally, you give me a name and an approximate age, I can find pretty much anybody in the US. And it's just I just know how to use Google. I know how to use Bullyan logic and Boolean logic and Google are a very dangerous thing. So one cool thing I did find in my research, which is a lawyer. Now I'm not associated with this dude. I'm not plugging him in any way, shape or form, but his name is Jason Kurland and he is the lottery lawyer. And the way he got into this is he helped a friend out and then turns out there was a niche market for people that needed a lottery lawyer. So if you hit it big, and I hope one of you do, but if one of you out there does hit it big, he might be worth a call. And so for those of you in the chat here's his website. You can write it down or just make a mental note of it. And if you ever have something you know, hopefully you get something there. It is, but it is the lottery lawyer and his name is Jack Carland and so he kind of specializes in this. The second reason to have a team is that there's going to be a lot of people who are worth a lot of money and they need to guard against losing assets to creditors, so they can include anyone. You know that your creditors can include anyone from a disgruntled spouse or an ex spouse to people who win lawsuits against you. So if you people, excuse me, if you think people have deep pockets, then it's trying to read the chat room and do this at the same time getting confused here. If people think you have deep pockets, if they think you have money, then they're going to be looking for reasons to sue you. And if any of y'all have ever seen the dash cam footage on YouTube where the guy's got a dash cam and he comes to a complete stop and there's somebody walking across the stopwalk and all of a sudden they stop and then they start running at the car and they do like a flying leap onto the car and then slide off, and it's like, oh, I'm hurt, I'm hurt. I'm going to sue you. That's what you're going to be dealing with. I mean, it's going to be very prudent of you to ensure that you're not an easy target, and you're gonna need to put mitigating controls in place, like a dash cam. You know, most times when they say you know, they oh, you hit me, I'm gonna sue you, and you go, okay, I got a dash cam right there, they're gonna get up and run off because they don't want to be on there. So but these are the things you need to think about. And so people think you have money, then they're gonna come after you in any way, shape or form. I mean, it may be a girlfriend from high school that you haven't seen in fifty years, and all of a sudden, she's gonna come up and go, hey, by the way, i got six kids and they're all yours from the last thirty years even though you haven't seen her. I mean, it's it's going to be crapped like that, and they're going to hire good attorneys to come after you. So even if even if it's a complete BS lawsuit, if they can win, then you know that's you in a sling. So you need to make sure you've got things in place to protect yourself. A third reason for a team of professionals is you want to help them. You want them to help you decide how to collect the winnings and pay your taxes. So for the lottery, usually you can take a lump sum or you can collect an annuity usually I think they're over thirty years or whatnot. But either way, you're gonna have to pay some taxes on it, and you're probably gonna have to pay taxes a little bit along. So there's the initial upfront taxes and then there's taxes that you know can accrue here and there that you may not know about. Well, a team can help you decide on a lump sum versus an annual payout. So some people say, you know, take the lump sum. You know, if something happens to the lottery commission or something happens to me. My kids still get it, and there's positives and negatives for both of them. So with the lump sum, you take all the money at once, you put all the money in the bank, and it's earning interest, and that's great. You can take it, you can put it in treasury bonds or whatever you want to and you've got the money and it's accruing interest or it's accruing whatever, and that's perfect. But once it's gone, it's gone. And with an annual payout, if you screw up the first year and blow everything, well then you get twenty twenty nine more chances after that to get it right. So spreading the payments out protects you from becoming the latest lottery winner who's lost all their money, and you don't end up on a TLC show. So speaking of that, right before this show, on an odd twist of fate, I turned on the TV and I was flipping through the channels and I found a show on HGTV called My Lottery Dream Home, and I thought, oh my goodness, this is just too weird. I'm sitting there talking about winning the lottery and here's a TV show that you know that's on it and some of the times. What I've seen for the last two or three episodes that I watched is that a lot of the people were blowing almost their whole budget on a house. So the house, you know, they won a million dollars, the lottery took half of the state took half of that. They've got a half a million dollars left. They're buying a four hundred thousand dollars house. Because you think, Okay, I've got a half a million dollars, I'm going to buy a four hundred thousand dollar house that I'll give me one hundred thousand dollars left over, and that's great until the next year the property taxes come due. If you can't afford, you know, a two or three or four hundred thousand dollars house every year for property to taxes and a state tax, a state taxes, then don't buy it outright. So those are the kind of things you think of because you're gonna have taxes come up one way or the other. It ain't just on the money on the lottery, it's money on whatever you buy and stuff. So, yeah, Pappy's got it right. She says, that's the reason for the r V in the truck is you know, you sell the house, you take all the money and you have the truck and the trailer and you don't pay property taxes and stuff. So that's a good man. That's an idea. You know, you buy a motor home, or buy several motor homes and you just too around because you know they can't hit a moving target. That's what Willie Nelson does. But anyway, you're gonna have to pay taxes either way, whether it's a lump sum or an annuity or in property taxes or whatever, you're gonna have to pay taxes. And a team can help you decide on that and help you, you know, figure out what to do with it. So hey, yeah, you need a boat to get to the island. You need a big boat to get to the island. Need a big, nice boat to get to the island. And that's something else that's actually another good idea real quick is a boat. You know, there are a lot of people that that's what they do is they are multi multi billionaires and they have boats and they just sail around the coast to all these different ports and everything, and they have you know, a full crew on the boat and they pull into the boat and pull in or pull into port, and they get food and they get to fuel and they just keep sailing and there's no you know, there's less taxes they have to pay because of course they're going to register in like Bermuda or somewhere else where. It's really really cheap to birth a boat from. So anyway, so after let's say you've hired the team of professionals, what's the next step. Well, you've signed the back of your ticket, or you've signed the back of the ticket with a trust or whatever you want to do. You've called the lawyers, you've called all the professionals. What's the next thing you do? Well avoid seven sudden lifestyles. So for everybody that is saying everything in the chat room, those are really great, those are all great items to purchase, but you don't want to do that for the surf first six months. So, as I was saying earlier, don't quit your job, don't begin buying a new home, don't buy a new luxury car, and don't begin giving out gifts. Lay loaf for about six months and don't do anything drastic. And this can be after you've claimed the ticket. You know, you got two or three months maybe before you have to claim the ticket. And then once you claim the ticket and you get the money in the bank and everything's cleared through Layloaf for a little bit longer. You know, if you live in a trailer park. And I'm not knocking trailer parks because I used to live in one, so but if you live in a trailer park and all of a sudden you trade in you're nineteen sixty six Ford F one hundred for let's say, in all black twenty eighteen Ai Audi R eight Spider with red caliber breaks, black optics patch, black optics package, and then I am exteering, you know, it's going to kind of look out of place, and then I'm saying that I would ever buy a twenty eighteen Audi Audi R eight Spider. But you know, just just thinking out loud, e K, just thinking out loud. You know, an Audi R eight would be uh would be a really nice gift. Uh if we if we can get that, you know, but it's got to have the red brake calipers and the black optics and dynamic steering. But anyway, if you live in a trailer park, can you trade in your old hooptie truck for that, it's gonna look out of place. Now, I'm not saying you can't get a new car. Buy a new car, but be sensible, you know, be sensible until you move into a new home and you have the protections in place. It is not a useless gift. It is absolutely not a useless gift. Okay, I am being argued with in the chat room here that that done an all black twenty eighteen Audi R eight Spider with red calipers and a black ops package is a useless gift. It is not a useless gift. It can get to me to my bug out location quickly. It can get me from the house to the boat in a very fast manner. And you know when when it hits the fan, you got to get out of town really really quickly and get around roadblocks and uh and that kind of car would help you do that anyway. So get a new car, but be sensible about it, you know, don't don't get a brand new car that looks out of place. Get something, you know that's decent. And if I'm going to ask you and say, yeah, the old one just broke down and I got a good deal in this and I hack them with a guy and I've got a decent payment scheme that's set up or something. But anyway, now that's at a good idea. Flying Dutchman says, says, take your old truck, but get everything or replaced on it mechanically. So basically, you know, you take the Ford F one hundred, but you drop a brand new V eight in it or a brand new V ten and uh there you go. Alrighty. So the final thing, after you're done, you've claimed all your winnings, is to figure out what you really want. You know, what do you what do you value in life? So that's gonna be some question to the chat room. Is okay, barring items that we've purchased, you know, barring prepper stuff, let's talk about some real world value. What are some things? Oh lord, what are some things that you would do that would bring happiness to your life. Everybody says money's not everything. Well those are because people they those are people that have money. But if you had all the money in the world and you didn't ever have to work, what are some things you would do? So that's the question in the chat room, And in the meantime we're gonna go take another break. I'm gonna get me another sip of water and let y'all uh, let y'all hit it. So g man, take us to break. Oh that's gonna take a minute to compose myself. Oh so some more pink things that people were talking about. One thing they were talking about to get in their pilot's license. So yeah, get your pilot's license and learn how to fly back to that education thing. You know, Hey, you never know getting a plane and fly to your bug out location. We'll make sure that if we when we buy the island, we'll make sure we have a good strip of runway so that we can land you know, Cessna's and Moonies and stuff on it. So once again, Melinda Lee actually answered my question. So my question to y'all was not what you would buy, but it's what you would do what would make you happy. So Melnda Lee in the chat room, kudos to you because you absolutely want it again, she says, to be able to spend time with my family and friends, to enjoy my hobbies, to travel and enjoy all the beautiful places that I have seen in books and TVs, the parks and historical sites sites. Absolutely, that is it. I mean that that's what we're thinking about. So you know, you've cleaned your winnings, you've paid the taxes and the bank accounts full. Well, now you need to figure out what you really want on a life. You know, what do you value in your life? So you're in a position where you don't have to work, but you need to find what gives you meaning and purpose. So believe it or not, just spending money is boring and you're going to lose all that money if that's your thing, so you can poop poop me in the chat room and everything else. But if all you have to do is spend money and that's all you get out of life, that's going to get really really boring and really really old, especially if you've got, you know, one of those huge payouts and stuff. So figure out what makes you happy. Maybe you want to start a charitable foundation that you can give. Maybe you want to volunteer. Uh, you might become a real estate tycoon and be able to set up stuff and you know, make more money. But you know, maybe think about and setting them in setting up investments for your children, you know, their children, the children's children, you know, the kind of your future generations volunteer. Do it, you know, do it makes you happy. Some people in the shop room are saying, make time for projects and crafts. Absolutely. You know, if knitting makes you happy and that's what you really really enjoy, then go knitting. You know. It's another person says, uh, go travel Europe, absolutely, you know, go go travel Europe and all over the place. And Jay Fergie says, my children being outside, raising animals, gardening and crocheting. Absolutely, Yeah, that's what I would do if I had, you know, all the money in the world, I would absolutely do the gardening thing. I would do the homesteading thing. Yeah, painting, crocheing, all that kind of good stuff. So it's not just about spending money. So with the prepper thing, yes, we want to make sure we have a homestead. Yes, we want to make sure we have you know, security and dry food and you know, freeze dryers and solar and wind energy and all the things that would make us self sustainable. But once we buy all that stuff, and once we've got our homestead or our bunker or our compound decked out, what do we do? I mean, you've got to do something to keep yourself busy. And so volunteer or you know, do things for other people. For those of you that are out there that have retired, you know what I'm talking about. So the first few months after you retire, it's great because you have money, you don't have to work, you sleep late, and everything is perfect. But if you've been retired for a few months, you know, you get bored and you got to find something to do. One of the things that I always say that if I could ever do it, if I won the money and money wasn't an issue and you know, I didn't need insurance and all that kind of good stuff, I'd go back to being a radio tech. So I would find a low paying job is a bench tech working on and installing radios for the police fire departments. I used to do that when I was a teenager, and I really enjoyed that job, and I still would be doing it if money was not an issue. So it's not you know, it's not the highest paying job in the world, but working with radios and fixing things and you know, using the assilloscopes and solder and irons and all that kind of good stuff that I used to tinker with on a bench repairing, repairing radios. I would go back to do that if money wasn't an object, you know, that's what I would do for to keep myself busy and to keep myself you know, entertained. And then yeah, volunteering for stuff. You know, God do charities, go like into an old person's home, a nursing home and buy things and help people out or you know whatever. Just do something that helps your soul, that benefits your soul as a human. That's what you want to do. That makes you feel good. So you do things that make you feel good inside. And giving is actually better than getting everybody poo poos that. But you know, believe it or not, your soul and your heart will do better when you actually make somebody else happy by giving them something. And it doesn't have to be money. I mean, go buy them a cheeseburger. Oh my goodness. I would be so happy if somebody would order me a pizza once in a while and just have it delivered and just show up and I don't even have to I don't know about anything, and just show up and know, ho, Hey, look here's a pizza hut with a stuff crust with ham and pineapple. A pizza you know, just show it up at the front door. Hint, wink, nudge, nudge kind of thing. I mean, it doesn't have to be anything. It doesn't have to be a wat of cash or you know, a new car or anything. Just you know, go buy something for somebody. If there's a kid on your street they've got a rady old bike, go buy them a new bike and go, hey, look here's a bike. Have a new bike. You know. If there's a girl when she's got dolls, go buy her new dollhouse and just say, you know, look I saw you needed a doll. Here's a dollhouse. And just you know, the things to make somebody else smile, that's what you're wanting. So anyway, so let's see here a chatroom. Chat room. Uh oh, gotta scroll back up, y'all. Are y'all a comment too fast for me? So something else would buy? Buy more a lotto tickets? Yeah, you know, you can buy some more lotto tickets. One person says, I would set up a trust for the grandkids, absolutely, and make it that the grandkids couldn't touch it until they're twenty fifth or thirty. Birthday Rescue animals. There ain't a good dude, man, Melinda Lee is killing it tonight. Rescue animals. I would so do that. Yes, if I had the money, I would go back to my hometown. There's a there's a program in my hometown that, uh is kind of like a Partner's for Pets thing where people can donate money or donate items. Ma'am, I would just I would cut them a check for you know, as much as I could and go here you go, guys, you know, y'all have that. I can't adopt all the dogs, but we can get you better facilities. We can get you, you know, so that y'all don't have to worry about dog food. You don't have to beg or anything, you know, rescue pets or doing something with kind of like rescue animals. Man, that is that is awesome. So all right, So the next one is working in the garden. Yep. You know, if that makes you happy, you know, keep working in the garden. Maybe take all your produce and give it out, or maybe start a community garden if you'd like to do the thing, start a community garden for some of the homeless people around you, you know, that kind of thing, just you know, think outside the box. Let's see here. Oh okay, well apparently my pizza request has been fulfilled. Let's see here. Yeah, Melinda Lee's rocking it. So she's making all of us shameful because she's the one that's like, you know, I would increase my education, I would increase my training, I would do all this kind of stuff for other people. So yeah, she's the nice one of the bunch. So, like I said, Melinda Lee, kudos to you for tonight. You are knocking it out. So all right, so lastly we're getting down the back to the bottom of the hour here. And so lastly, and in the meantime, before we went it all big, I encourage you to read a book. So I've got a book that I have read before, and it came to mind while I was doing all this kind of good stuff. And in the meantime, while we're waiting for our Powerball numbers to come up, or our Mega Million numbers, or our Lucky for Life or whatever state lotto you have or scratch off, there's a book I want you to read. So you can either buy it or download it. But it's called The Pearl by john Steinback. The Pearl by john Steinback p e a r L like an oyster pearl. There's a lot of people who have struck jackpots and they end up finding out that winning is sometimes the fastest way to lose everything. There are countless stories of people out there that get you know, million dollars, a lot of windfalls, and then they turn to drugs that make bad investments, or they get robbed or even they get shot by their their family members. And so this is not the best thing to end on, but it's something that you know, it needs to be covered. Is that a lot of people that win the lottery and become multi multi millionaires overnight actually end going deeper into debt than they were, and a lot of them they take their own life. And again my stance on that, you know, if you've listened to the show for a little b of that, that's cheating. You don't get to cash out when you want to. Jay Fergus says the curse of the wind absolutely. So you know, picking the lucky numbers doesn't solve all your problems. Picking and getting all that money doesn't solve your problems. And a lot of times it's going to create new ones. They're going to make your old problems seem like cherished friends. So you know, when you win, and I hope that one of y'all out there does. Honestly, I hope that one of you, when one of you wins, that you will take the time to think about it. You'll take the time to assemble a good team, to put up protections in place to make sure that you don't go nuts right off the bat. That you know, keep a low profile, don't tell anybody, make sure you make the right decisions. Surround yourself with people that will make the right decisions for you. You know, make sure you protect yourself, your family, and your assets because people are going to come out of the wood work. Jay Fergie says it that, Yeah, people are going to come out of the wood work. They're going to be needing money, and kidnapping and everything else is not out of the question. So keep all that mind. You know, when you're rolling in that mattress of one hundred dollar bulls and you know you've got the million dollars in the in the pool and you're just swimming through the coins like Scrooge McDuck, you know, just keep that keep in mind. So anyway, all right, as I always say, If anybody has any questions there wants to correct me, then shoot me an email. I hit me up on Facebook. I always welcome constructive criticism. Don't forget us. Join us Tomorrow Night. Dave is actually on the road. Dave is in Chicago and he's going to be talking to the great ferks at the Great Folks at our merchant Bio Solutions. If you remember, he talks about the product called rs DL that's a great thing for nerve agents. So rs DL and Grant, Dave's actually going to be talking to them. He's also traveling with the r K Prepper Show this year apparently, and it's a dan shame that r K Preppers is not coming to a town near me because I absolutely want to go to that this year. But the closest one is Atlanta, and I'm not driving three hours just to go to a Prepper show. I would, but I'm not anyway, So Dave Tomorrow Night, Dave's the NBC guy. His show is at eight pm Eastern, that's one am Zulu. For those that need to check join us with them. He always has a really great show and he's live. So does anybody help have anything in the chat room? Before I say good night, So about thirty seconds left. Anybody in the chat room got any anything they want to add? Throw out there, bueler, bueler. One guy says a guy I worked with one the they published his name and he had to hire guards for his parents' house to who lived with So yeah, you know, it can create a lot more problems than it's worth. But anyway, all right, people, Well, y'all have a great evening, have a great For those of you that are in the South, it's going to be really really great unless you're getting the rain tonight tonight tomorrow. So if you're dealing with snow, I'm sorry. Uh, Florida is a cool is a nice seventy eight degrees and sunny, so sucks if you're not in Florida. But anyway, have a great evening, everybody. I am out.
