The road not taken Robert Frost eighteen seventy three to nineteen sixty three. Two roads diverged in yellow wood, and sorry, I could not travel both and be one traveler. Long guy stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth, then took the other, as just as fair and having perhaps the better claim, because it was grassy and wanted. Where So as for that the past there had warned them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay in leaves. No step had trodden the black. Oh. I kept the first for another day, Yet, knowing how way leads onto way, I doubted if I should ever come back, I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages. Hence, two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. Welcome in PBN family, we are all looking at two roads diverging in a wood, aren't we. We are all frosty and in our take on the world currently, aren't we. Two roads have diverged in a wood, and you're deciding whether or not to keep doing the things you've always been doing. Watching the corruption at the highest level, watching people make money hand over fists by exploiting other people, and trying to figure out if which are these paths you're going to take into the future. The stresses of life on the elders, the stresses of life on the seniors, the stress of life on the middle class, the stresses of life on the parents, on the college students, on the children. Maybe this is a product of baptism and nearing closer to the One and Only Lord. I'm already an empathetic person to begin with, But man, do I feel the weight of it all? I feel like I'm here to feel the weight of it all? Guys, That's what it feels like to me, Dane. And why why else? Spend so much time thinking about these things? Right? Why? Why is it that I look at society. Don't get me wrong, I see the beauty therein for sure, But I can't help but notice, and can't help but feel the growing undertone of everyone's worry, everyone's concerned, everyone looking into and so much to the unknown. Why is that? Is it? Because merely is it? Because merely we have we have become so dependent, and so comfortable, and so conveniently driven, right? Is that what it is? Is it because choice is so clear? It's there is so much choice in life that we are incapable of making a choice. Or is it also you know, this isn't other piece of the puzzle. It's the fact that we share in this experience like never before, and we lump ourselves into these categories. We lump ourselves into these conditions we haven't even felt yet, we haven't even had yet. We lump others into these conditions that they haven't felt yet, that they haven't you know, even lived yet. And what I mean by that is to look at a swathe of young people outside at a mall, at a game, at a school, and to say to yourself, they'll never be able to afford a home, the home crisis that I'm told about constantly, And look, do you see it? You see the value of homes is out of control. It's ridiculous. My house is not worth half of what it's worth right now, just be straight up. But are we because we see a certain amount of people make a video about it, We see a certain amount of people make a ticked talk about it. We hear a certain number of things going on in this direction, in this way is it that we all believe? Okay, well, but let's just lump everyone into that category and that's their fate doomed. You read Frost. You read Frost and you are reminded, and this is the power of poetry. You were reminded that there are roads, there are ways out. Like Bokowski said, there are ways out, there's light, you know what I mean, I don't know. We have to get back to the power of the individual. And more importantly, we have to empower the individual with the power of the individual. Right, we have to empower the individual with the with the known power of the individual, so that they understand these are the challenges of your age. Every age has faced challenges. It is up to you to craft the life the way that you want and look at these choices and these options and these as opportunities, because that's what they all are. They're all opportunities. We talk about the foundation of preparedness a lot here on PBN, and listen, it's important, you know, I go to the month of first routine. I see. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles and yesterday. Right, Oh, that's Isaiah forty thirty one. I gotta read Isaiah. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding Proverbs three five six. I'm not here. I didn't I didn't press record to solve the world's problems today. I want to do. You know what I mean. Maybe you don't know what I mean. I have no clue if you know what I mean. But there's just a big part of me that wants to see people do well. I don't know if that's lost in this society or not. And I'm not talking about my people. I'm talking about people right at large. See people do well, people doing well by and large. This is hard to do, you know, this is hard to do in the situation that we're in right now. The world is changing, but the world is given to the individual, to the self, relying in the independent of the person who can decide and make make decisions. One of the things I think that the generation coming up should should really consider is familial migration. Right the idea that we alart and this is happening right, This has happened in other places. But if things don't work where you're at O right, I left Philadelphia. I never thought I'd ever leave Philadelphia. You have to understand, you grow up in Philadelphia. You're you're basically an Islamist, you know what I mean, That's basically what it is. You like a few steps away from an Islamist. Really, it's true. You grew up in Philadelphia, right, and somebody's it's blasphemy. You run into a Cowboys fan, you hear a guy talking bad about such and such team man, the Flyers didn't give it up last night, though, Jeez, did they give that one up on a silver platter in the early stages of that game. But whatever, you grow up in this militant sort of mentality, right, Philly's the best New York can go to. Hell, Dallas is a joke. Don't even talk about Washington. Right. You grow up in this, in this sort of fervor, you know what I mean? And it it it is you. I mean, it is so much you. I don't know if it's that way anymore because the Internet has killed allegiance, that really has in a lot of ways. But I can tell you're growing up in Philly like you're all in. You're all in, and you look around you and sow's everybody else. Everybody around you's all in. Everybody's got the same jerseys on, everybody's got the same newspaper, same hat, same everybody's talking about the same things. You go home, your family's talking about it. Your mom, your dad, your grandmam, your grandpap, your uncle. You run into your uncle, Hey, your uncle, Jimmy, what's going on? Oh? You see the Phillies. Yeah, you know what I mean. It's everywhere. It's in a total indoctrination. There's a superiority about the city and all that kind of stuff. Nationality, He's the whole thing. You never imagine a life outside of that. And when I landed on the shores of Virginia, I remember the whole first year of two thousand and nine. My whole idea was, let me get just let me just I just when do we get to go back home? When can we go back home? Like I wanted to live down here, We had some goals down here, we were newly married. But Doug in my head, and when do we go back? And I'm telling you right now, this place is destiny. This place, Richmond, Virginia was destiny for me. It really was. I was destined to be here, you know it. If not, I don't know what destiny is, to be honest, I really don't. It's amazing here. I think I gushed about it last week or something on the podcast, so I'm not going to go deep into it. But the the moral of the story is. The moral of the story is, you know, go for it. Go for it. Tell your kids to go for it. Tell your grandkids to go for it. If they got to leave, if they want to leave, and if the economy is such that they gotta leave, then it might be good for you to pack up and leave and you all to go do your thing, and you're the live in childcare and you're on you know whatever acreage with chickens and gardens and solar panels in the whole nine yards, and that becomes life because we have to make it work, do you know what I mean? We have to make it work, and you know what we also have to do. And this might you know, you guys might not get a kick out of this, But I do live by a phrase living well is the best revenge. I do believe that one hundred percent. If when you have lizards at the top, when you have people at the top, geoge geo engineering, genetically engine nearing, ticks and mosquitoes and viruses, all in an attempt to get you to do whatever it is they want you to do. You have a group that is clearly, clearly put out their plans in something like the Great Reset and made sure that you understand that you will own nothing and you will be happy. And you look at the generation coming up today and what what are they thinking, Well, I will own nothing and so long as I get my prescription, I'll be happy. I'll be medicated and happy, or at least that's what they tell me in that moment. You have to in the face of all of that, right, guess is four dollars fifty cents here in Virginia right now, four dollars fifty in the face of all of that, you got to live well, and you got to show people, and you got to tell people, and you got to make it look good. You got to make it look good because it is good. Because the good, the best parts of life, they can't take away anyway, Right, you gotta make it look good. It's ugly, you know, there's a lot of ugly stuff going on right now, economically. One of the most ugly things for me is to keep hearing about how amazing the economy is. That's one of the things that's driving me crazy. Donald. One of the things that's making me really uneasy, Donald, is I keep hearing you say things like the war's over and the economy's great, and then it blows up in the Strait and the gas price goes up, and the price of this goes up, and that goes up, and I'm saying to myself, this square does not fit in the circle hole. Maybe had family. I'm I don't know, thirty six thirty seven hours into a fast right now. I haven't eaten in thirty six thirty whatever hours, and I feel great. By the way, phenomena, we'll see. I'm getting a little bit, uh. I think it's the coffee though, right because I drink black coffee during the fast. I have to probably a little low on electrolytes. I need some ink salt. The coffee's got my heart raising a little. But everything I want to do achieved via fast. And listen to me. If you don't think a fast is viable, if you don't think a fast is something that you can do, or should do. Please understand, fasting is a mentality shift. Fasting is a spiritual shift. Okay, I'm telling you it's a spiritual shift. Look up some proof. I'm gonna look up some proof for you, because I think it's important. I didn't stare in the mirror and go, oh, got a fast You don't look so good. But he've been eating too much pizza. I did face down the gauntlet last night, though I really did. It was bad man last night. I get done the show? Did you hit the show? Dave Jones, the NBC guy FBI security footage, You've got to watch that show. How it relates to you as a prepper, how it relates to your security. Great insight from a guy who you forget how qualified he is. Okay, Dave comes on and he tells you, Hey, everybody, we got chickens, and we got this growing and that growing, and this is my daughter is gradual. And you forget you're talking to a certifiable master. You're talking to master chief. I mean, that's who you're talking to, right, That is who you're talking to, or who's talking to you. Even I forget it, even I forget it. And then he starts throwing out the things, you know what I mean, bachelor's in this, masters in this, twenty years in this, and you're, oh, my god, because one of Dave jones superpowers, or maybe his ultimate power is and he probably would have been an amazing politician if he went that route. Is when you're around him, you feel like you're around somebody who is just a regular guy. And he is fundamentally just a regular guy. But he's got accolades and experience in things that most people can't even fathom. You got to listen to that show, Okay, last night the FBI. We review the footage. You can watch the video too on Rumble. You can watch the video on Uh. We're not on YouTube right now. I don't know. I've got work to do on YouTube if we're ever going to go back there. They nuked me again and then nuked an attempt at me coming back before I even got before I even posted a video, they deleted one of my channels. I'm trying to see real quick quick and when you fast, do not look gloomy? What happened? Like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that they're fasting may be seen by others truly I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that you're fasting may not be seen by others, but by your father, who is in secretness, And your father, who sees in secret, will reward you. It's a wild one, man, it is a wild one, because things happen if you're open to them. Yet, even now declares the Lord, return to me with all your heart. Listen now, this is from Joel to twelve. Return to me with all your heart. What does that mean? People say that to you your whole life. My mother said to me, have you taken Jesus into your heart? I don't know what that means, Mom, but I'm gonna say yes, right, return to me with all your heart. What's step one? Well, I don't know, But according to Joel two twelve, the Lord declared, return to me with all your heart. Step one with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning, fasting in emotion. Fundamentally, human things, human things, pbon family, human things, not cobalt mind things, but human things. We've lost grip of the human things. You can't deny it, you know what I mean? And that's what this fast was about for me, Like I said, it wasn't getting into the mirror and going, oh, I need to see my abs for the beach. It's it was all about the mentality was wrong, the weakness, the the connection was lacking, the temper was flaring, just a lot of things, man. And the quickest way, the quickest way to get your stomach digestive system, probably your your nervous system. I don't know that to be a fact, though, don't you know the quick I mean, if you want a factory reset for your body, that's what fasting is. Things aren't going right. Well, I got a pain, I got some pain in the elbow here. I don't know I got this. I got this pain, I got this digestion. It's not going well. I got whatever. The quickest way to a reset, really it's about now. It's about thirty six hours, seventy two hours. I don't know if it's necessary, if it's just hard, or if it's just something we throw out three days. But I can tell you right now, thirty six hours in. I'm thirty six hours in. Things have changed dramatically. You sleep on it, You go to bed hungry ish. Last night I went to bed right before bed, I had some salt and then I had to walk. I had to put away pizza and it was it was tough. I had to take beautiful slices of pepperoni pizza that were like room temp. Now, which is I like hot pizza, it's great, but room temp pizza is pretty damn good too, especially late right, like ten o'clock room temperature pizza from dinner. The kids didn't eat the last three, and you know that they don't stand the chances. So I had to take that. I had to put that on a plate and put it in the fridge. And that was about twenty five hours in or something like that. Fasting. That was tough. I'm not gonna lie. There was. And when you do it, when you do fast consistently, you also kind of appreciate those battles and winning those battles because when you're facing that down and this is working out too, guys, this is this is the mentality. This is what I'm talking about. This is there are only so many ways you can sharpen this mentality, right, the mentality of I have to run two more miles and I want to die, but I understand because I've done it so many times that on the other side of this feeling where I feel like I want to die is a better feeling, and it's way better than quitting. Right. I don't feel that way about quitting the fast as much, but the workout. It's the same mentality though, the same mentality you're standing. I'm standing there with the pizza. The kitchen's empty, the house is quiet. No one would know. No one would know if I if I chomp down that pizza man, nobody would know. My family would be delighted. They don't even really like when I fast. They cheer me on, my wife in particular. But it's one of those things you resist. You resist because God will know, Your body will know, right and most importantly PBN family, the enemy will know. The enemy will know. Do you know what I mean when I say that if the enemy stalks us, and we must stay sober per the Bible, right, stay sober and aware because the enemy stalks us like a lion. If the devil stalks us, if the demons are about us and contort us and torture us and push us in certain directions, and we pray, and we know that prayer has its power. There is something about the work that you do in quiet that I think houts the demons the deepest. And I stole this mentality in this idea from the Gray Knight's faction of Warhammer forty thousand, because the Gray Knights are a chapter of space marines that no one really knows exists. They are uncannily powerful and virtually uncorruptible. And there's a line from one of the books where the Great Knight talking says we may die, the chapter may never know of our glory, that people will never know we exists. Something along those lines, right, no one will ever know of our sacrifice, but the enemy will know. And he goes on to talk about how he will make the enemy feel pain and make the enemy bleed. And I just love the concept, you know, I really do, because I think in our quiet moments is where we fail. And if you can really build a will to succeed and to thwart the temptation because it was so hard it was, I mean, it's breaking point temptation last night, ten o'clock last night. Nobody loves a late night snack like me, and I got these pizza slices and I'm just thinking, like, dude, you can just eat them like you're not gonna go to hell. You know what I mean, You're next, You're not gonna wake up weighing two hundred and eighty pounds. You know, everything's fine, You just eat the pizza. I slid the plate into the fridge with the four slices on it and shut it, and I put a little finger of salt on my tongue and went upstairs and went to bed. I did have a little trouble sleeping, getting too sleep, But yeah, man, it was just the victory, the feel of the feeling of the victory O or mass temptation like that. It's hard to explain. So these are the different layers, you know what I mean? Do you want to dig in? I don't know who knows right? Who knows? Who? Am I to tell you what to do with your life and your time? I try to, but I mean, you know it is what it is. I want to tell you now about our great sponsor, portable Prep dot com. Portableprep dot com. These guys they're doing amazing things. What is that your vaccine passport? And to use social credit score and be sure you have enough remaining carbon credits to enjoy today's show. And family, Your garden is the resistance. So we got to talk about the Economic Research Service April twenty twenty six Food price outlook. Ask some I mean, here's the here's the headline, Okay, not by them, by me, Gas and food prices to rise for the remainder of twenty twenty six. That's that's my headline. I can almost guarantee it. Food prices rose two point seven percent from March twenty five to March twenty six. For full year twenty twenty six, all food prices are forecast to rise two point nine percent between one point three and four point six percent, food at home groceries two point four percent up to four point eight percent, and food away from home restaurants is also going up. Key categories here you go, beef and veal up six percent, sugar and sweets up eight percent, non alcoholic bev who cares except coffee five percent. Increase fresh vegetables four point eight percent increase. Yeah, it's uh, it's something, man, it is something seven of fifteen categories, rising faster than our twenty year averages. These steady price climbs, especially in beef, sweets, and so long story short, man, like, how do you weather these situations? I'm talking about buying food in bolt, packing it in my lar bags, five gallon buckets, two thousand cc oxygen absorbers, labeled, dated, stacked. What should I buy? You should go to Sam's Club, costco, buy online. You should buy fifty pound bags of rice. You should buy twenty five pound bags of all purpose flour and bread flour. You should buy packets of dry yeast. You can also well, let's talk about buying. You should buy olive oil. You should buy large quantities of mild olive oil if money is an issue, but you should also have mild tasting olive oil for sauteing, because to saute with extra virgin olive oil it's really good and really expensive. It's kind of a waste, you know, but you still want to have that good extra virgin olive oil, salt, two pound boxes of salt or whatever derivation of salt you can get. Get yourself some pink salt, Get yourself some sea salt, oat meal, right, oats, rice, maybe a couple rices if you want. Twenty pound bags twenty right, twenty five pound bags of black beans and pintos, black beans and red beans, whatever you like. Right, bulk pastas that stand the test of time. Here's the trick with the pasta. You're not gonna store it for very long. You're gonna you're gonna pack it up as though you're gonna store it for very long. Unless you really eat a lot of pasta, have a big family, pack it up five gallon my lar, you know that kind of thing. I don't do it with spaghetti. Spaghetti goes so fast. You don't have to do it. But keep yourself a backlog of pasta. Pasta is amazing, it really is. It's an amazing food. You can make it yourself, you know what I mean. Semolina, flour, eggs, a little olive oil, salt, it's not hard to make. Pasta maker is a great investment. But macaroni fundamentally right, a great thing to store. You could drop two hundred dollars this weekend and secure. Here's the clear thing, right, we're dealing with a food price crisis, a food a rise in food prices through the through twenty twenty six. Well it's May, right, so we have May June, July, August, September, October, November, December, got eight months. You could pretty quickly put up staples for at least six months that you know you're going to have at this price point to call on, you know, And this ain't counting on the food that you're rotating through right now. Right, you're already rotating through rice from twenty twenty five, twenty twenty four, maybe even before that. Hopefully you are right. And look, if you want to get this all going, just DM me, okay, because you need to get the rotational food storage thing happening. I'm not talking about the deep pantry with cans of chicken noodle soup. I'm talking about big buckets full of staple foods that you're cooking on a week to week basis and replenish them before they run out. Right, sugar dimensioned sugar you can grab onto these prices right now and hang out. You can't really do it with gas, you know what I mean. Gas is gonna go up. It's gonna cut you, that's all. We got to figure out how to how to live with it until it gets fixed. We've got a bitch and moan. We've got to get, you know, get out of this headspace to everything Donald Trump does is a brilliant move for your future. Hey, it could be a mess, right, it could be that four dollars gallon gas is what we're dealing with from here on out. That's the low side, you know what I mean. People make mistakes. Fighting wars and managing oil at a global scale is no easy game, right. I hope I'm wrong. I don't want to be right on that. I'm saying you got to wrap your head around that. However, when it comes to food, right, we can put those staples away. We can supplement with our gardens and our you know, foraging those things, hunting. I gotta get the canning diva on here, because we we got to talk about canning as well. You really got to take hold of food and figure out how you're going to do food right. You've got to wrap your head around this idea that grocery store for everything is not good even if you're eating, even if you're eating food and storing food long term that typically comes from the grocery store. Anyway. It's not necessarily about growing everything. You're not going to grow all your own race, you know what I mean. But going to the week to week a grocery store for all your needs is how you get hung by pricing. Right. You'll get hung by pricing this way because you don't have an option perfect, no adaptability perfect raise the price. What can they do? They need it. But if you get to a situation where you can capitalize on price, you see something on the horizon right like we do here at PBN always, and you say, oh, maybe this is the weekend I get out. I take two hundred dollars out. I used to do that. I used to tell the audience, do this with one hundred dollars. You can't really do it that. Go with one hundred dollars anymore. Take out two hundred dollars, Go to the costco, go to the Sam's Club wherever you can buy. Restaurants store in the area might be one. Get your bulk flour right, get your bulk bread flour, your regular flour, your sugar, get your rice, get your oats. If you can get good, good steel cut oats, they're expensive. I don't know if you can do that with two hundred, but those kinds of things staples, right. Get cooking oil. Cooking oil is the most overlooked prep there is. Get honey, right, honey's Oh I got a big jar of honey in there. Oh, I get eat it. Fight that back. Bought some really good local honey. Yeah, I don't know. I've just been had no, just been had a god a taste for some good honey. This is the deal PBN family. Right. This is two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the road less traveled by, and it's made all the difference. This is what it is. So thank you all for your time. I'm gonna get out of here. Heed my warning or not, it's up to you. I hope you all have a plan. Understand the world is changed. It's not changing. It's changed. Right, the world is not changing, it's changed. I need ten subscribers to the new Red Beacon media sub stack. Okay, we're doing our poems over there. We're doing prepping clips. We're doing rebellion and renaissance over there at large, and this platform will continue to grow, and hopefully one day we'll get it big enough that we can swallow up HEBN as the de facto prepping partner. But right now, I mean, what we do here is so relentless and so big, I don't know, I don't know that it can be compete competed with At the moment. You know, if it's just too big, it's too great, it's too much, it's too much of exactly what you need. That's pretty good. That's not bad, right, that's pretty good. The path back to stability is good. Too much of exactly what you need ain't bad either, though, spread the word PBN family, make it, make it undeniable that people should listen to the prep Broadcasting Network, because the costs go up for all. The peril rises for all, the cost goes up for all. And I stand here, you know, with the red beacons trying to get people's attention, trying to draw them in from the dark seas, and uh, you know, give them respite in their own capabilities. Everyone's capable of prepping. That's a beautiful thing about it. All right, folks, I will talk to you soon. It is Tuesday, tons of great shows. Don't
