We are the Prepper Broadcasting Network. What is up? PBN Family, PBN Daily News is off for the day, Carl b is off for the day. It is gonna be a little quiet on the Prepper Broadcasting Network on a Friday. I'm not gonna run a rerun. We're just gonna let it be. We're just gonna let it be. We're gonna let the monster rest. That's almost true. That's somewhat true. It's also somewhat false. Uh. The members are gonna get a very interesting interview with another incredible doctor, doctor Ben Tapper from the Wellness Company. Don't worry. Everybody's gonna get that interview tomorrow, but for you members, gonna get a day early. I it was a fun interview, man, I'll tell you that much. It was a good time. And then it turned incredibly dark, as these interviews do, and You're gonna hear things that I've never heard. And I had to tell the I had to tell Ben. I had to say, look, man, speak it. Because this is a no holds barred podcast network. We want to hear everything. And the tale he's going to tell you, I don't know, you know, I just it's absolutely mortifying. I don't want to give it away. I want you, guys, held in suspense, and I want you to enjoy the interview for what it is, because there's a lot of great information about health and overall health and movement and supplementation and you know, getting your health on track outside of taking prescription drugs. Right, So, quiet day on PBN. This is it. This is all I'm doing today. If Dave Jones pops in, I don't know, he hasn't been in a while. He may pop in. It's the end of the end of the week for Professor Dave, so that could happen. But as far as my schedule goes, I'm stepping in, Hey, how you doing. What's going on? And then when I sign off, enjoy the night. We don't lack for content here at PBN. Believe you me. Where there, we ain't hurting. There's a false storm rolling in right now and it is picturesque PBN. I mean it is just beautiful, you know, Like the the woods behind my home are largely well, they're dominated by oak and hickory. Fundamentally, I think there's a big poplar back there too, but fundamentally they're dominated by hickory and oak and the larger trees. The most dominant species of tree in my backyard now is the Paul Paul fruit, and that's by design. But everything's yellow, you know, almost everything is yellow except this mullberry out just out the window. And it's just this yellow back drop and this soggy gray rolling in and it's a little dark, and it's just gorgeous. You know. It's just I don't know. Seasonality is great, you know what I mean, it really is like it's I always feel sad when people tell me they hate the blank because and you'll hear it from me too. Right now, I'm very optimistic. I'm rolling into fall, then into winter, and I'll be happy commander all through most of winter until we hit about mid January. That's when the depression starts to set in for me and I start to hate winter as well. But the seasons are beautiful, I mean, I don't know. It sounds like we're gonna get beaten about the head and neck with winter weather this year, so that'll break up the monotony, give us some snow. See, the winters in Virginia are devilish because he you know, they're not really even very cold, but they're cold enough that it sucks. Like. They're not cold enough that you go outside in your car, doors fro and shut. They're just cold enough that you're like, I don't want to go anywhere do anything in the cold. But you know, that's why we did today's show because one thing I think that everyone should do. One thing that I think everybody listening to this network should do. Yesterday, Oh my god, we're talking camping. Yesterday was probably one of the best days into nights that you could have camped in the fall this year. I was standing on my porch like, tisk tisk tisk. Preparing yourself and your family for a winter camp is something. And I don't mean a winter camp and you're heated RV, you know what I mean. I mean a literal hot tent, a literal winter camping sash, a literal wood stove in your tent. I mean this is this is something I do every year, and it's something that really is awesome, And it's awesome for a number of reasons. It's awesome because hold on, let me search hot I want to see what they're going for these days. It's awesome because they uh, they It opens your eyes to all kinds of things. So it looks like we got a four person, five pound TP hot tent with the stovejack one sixty five. Then we have sort of the the the RBM outdoors hot tent one to three people. This thing is like the Cadillac, you know what I mean? One thousand dollars. Uh. This little stove hut is really cool, two hundred bucks. It's called the stove Hut seventy hot tent with two tart poles. Very cool. They got like a single man. I don't know how that works. You would, You will cook yourself. Even my small little camping stove is pretty tough. I don't see the one Tigris for sale anymore. I have the one Tigress. I bought it years ago for like ninety nine bucks. Make some plans, even if it's just out back, even if you're nervous and you don't want to go, you know, into the wilderness with the serious cold happening. You know, it's scared that things could go wrong, because things probably will go wrong. And that's why we're doing it, right, We're doing it because things probably will go wrong. It's a weird and a dark thing to say this day and age. You know, I know it's more. I know it's more comfortable to say, like, I practice bushcraft to develop a better relationship with the outdoors, to be one with the outdoors, because I am of this planet. But the truth of the matter is for me, this is for me. You might not feel this way, and make no mistake about it. I'm not some bulldog bulldozer out there. I have a deep appreciation for the outdoors. But for me, winter camping, bushcraft, wilderness survival skills, hunting, fishing, trapping, all those things, man, they are for they're literally the whole purpose of that is to practice the domination of the wild. That's what it is. I mean, in my mind, that's the way I always look at it. I want to be able to dominate the wild and the wild conditions without walls, without HVAC, without you know anything. It's dominion over wild places. And you can't say that kind of stuff anymore because people get upset. Right it's supposed to say it's about sustainability, it's about uh being one with nature, It's about forest bathing. It's about for me, I want to make sure, regardless of the seas, that I get a good shot. Not just its surviving, but it dominating the wild place I'm in. And by dominating, I just mean I want to be in that place and be as comfortable as humanly possible right and know without without concern, that I can be hot, that I can be covered and protected, that I can protect myself from threats, all that kind of stuff, that I can eat, that I can drink, that if I'm injured, I can I can take care of that. So when I camp in the winter, when we set up the and sometimes we do do it just out in the backwoods, you know what I mean, It's just it. I mean, in all honesty, with kids, it's just as fun to go outside to start the fight. I don't. It's so rare now that I start fire because I have a twelve year old, you know what I mean. I have a twelve and an eight year old boy. The only time I start fires when I get out there ahead of them. Now it's you know who doesn't want to get dad? Let me use the I mean, Carter's got lighters. He's got a collection of lighters. Now, he's got zip o lighters, he's got plasma lighters. He's a twelve year old boy. There's nothing more fun than pyro technics. So it's fun to get out there in the tent when it's cold, you know, like, oh god, it's cold out run out there, and it's fun with the kids to do. It's cold, you run out there, right. Tent stove is cold, but it's set up my one tigris tent. I lay a tarp down. That's the floor. Like the one tigris is dirt underfoot, and I like that. But a lot of times when the kids are there, oh, I will put a tarp down first and then one tigris on top, you know, little camp stove, and then they get to work. You know. Sometimes we have to gather would ahead of time. Sometimes we bring wood. Sometimes we you know, go around the backwoods and collect up sticks to start the fires. And what's really cool is when it starts to work. You know, you go from being cold to all of a sudden, the fire starts heating up that cast iron, that pipe leading up out of the tent starts to radiate heat, and you're like, oh man, it's nice and toasty in here now. And then we all pile into sleeping bags and truth be told, you know, the small camping stoves by midnight or usually done, and you know, we're nestled all snug in a sleeping bag. And then when you wake up, it's you know, if you want to if you're if you're not close, here's the truth. If you're close to home when you wake up, you're probably gonna go home. Like if you're out back, you're gonna be like, Okay, it's morning, go inside. But if you're out there doing it for real, then you know the first thing you need to do. And this is why I always recommend if you're doing the camp stove thing, to keep kindling and fire starters in piles next to the woodstove, you know what I mean, not next like they're going to spark and catch fire, but close enough that you can quickly wake up in the middle of the night, throw one in and light it. And what does that look like for me? That's a wax cup filled with wax and dryer lint. A make sure that I call bigfoot fur and small and medium sized sticks, you know, and then and then some larger wood that can go on top once that gets going, so I can get that whole situation going in a jiff. Warm up the tent, get the water boiler, whatever it else is we need to do and test yourself. Okay. Winter is about domination. Like the reason Christmas is great, the reason humanity thrives, particularly in the northern climates is because of our dominion over the cold weather season. And you can do that in your four walls. But you should also have the confidence that you can do that. Dominate the season, Dominate the cold with clothing, with the right sleeping bags, with the right shoes, with the right activities, with the right tent, with the right fuel, all of those things, with the right gloves, dominate the cold, because that's our job as people, as humans. You know. That's all I got for you, PBN Family. I hope you enjoyed it. Two great shows last night. If you didn't listen to Thursday, unbelievable shows, Wednesday was a powerhouse too.
