AI Music, The PBN Brain, and Nuns Who Pray at Midnight

I'm breaking all the rules with this artist, okay? Listen, this is a thing. I mean, it is. Today's podcast, this audio podcast, is a decompression chamber for yours truly. We've done a lot in the last 10 days, and you don't even know the half, right? Just the National Preparedness Month interviews themselves were Are. Phenomenal. I mean. It just is. You want to talk about like a. A stim injection. Like an adrenaline injection. Of preparedness. We're just getting started man. Wait till you hear from Mike. From Skycom. We got a special guest. Dropping in on that show. You won't believe. Just amazing stuff dude. I. I'm very proud of it. It's really. Really great. Short to the point. You know. I feel like I'm giving you something. Every show. But I ain't been able to be. Just me, you know what I mean? And what you just heard is the perfect little puzzle for James. For a while, you may have heard me talk about her. You may have seen her, if it is her, on redbeaconmedia.com. But there's an artist out there that goes by the name of Noah Rue, N-O-A-R-U-E, that I've been listening to for the last, I don't know, two months, something like that, maybe. Clearly not completely human, okay? And I don't mean that in like a, I mean that completely, totally straightforward. Like, Noah Rue, the artist, the song that you just listened to is called The Veil. This, whatever this artist is, creates, well, they create a couple things. They create music, right, that is completely and totally about Jesus and God. I mean, the lyrics are completely and totally tethered to Jesus and God and faith. And I really like it. And one of the reasons I really like it is because you can hear that sort of heavy, there's a heavy sort of jazz R & B influence on the music that, I don't know if you know, R & B is really bad now. It used to be my life. It really was my life. Good rhythm and blues from the past, even up until the early 2000s, was my life. I remember taking my wife to concerts where... I'm not saying this to be funny. I'm not saying this to be radical. We would go to concerts where you couldn't find a white person. You know what I mean? Me and her, these little... We'd be walking. They'd be the only white people there. We'd go see Anthony Hamilton and Anita Baker. Ginya Wine and Jagged Edge. And we would go see all these R & B artists. I was just listening to it all the time. I just loved it. And it was in a really good place. Heather Headley. I mean, just really good artists. You know who I never got to see out of Philly that I always wanted to see? Music Soulchild. But whatever. So.... Maybe I did see Music Soulchild. I can't remember. No, I feel like I did see him live. But anyway, that's a piece of my life and a side of me that I really like. It's like the heavy faith-based R & B just, to me, is this thing that just makes so much sense to work together. You know what I mean? And it works so good with this artist, Noah Rue. But it's not a real... That may be her voice. It may not. She may not exist. She is presented as a she. The videos are clearly not real people. There's an AI probably throughout the whole thing. And I'm in this puzzle, PBN family, of like, it's just the whole, I mean, what it is, guys, is digging through sort of this new world that we're in. I mean, this is like, the only reason I'm bringing this up is because I want to paint for you the picture of the world that we are in, not the world that we are entering into, okay? Like the age of revelation, the age of discovering and bringing to light. Oh, look, you won't believe what the AI could do. No, no, no, that's all over. You know what I mean? You see people stuck on this loop on the internet. They're stuck on the loop of revelation. You won't believe what the politicians, you won't believe what the CIA, you won't believe what... No, I would believe it. I believe everything. What do you mean? The age of revelation, it's over. We don't have to wake up every day and go, the documents and the expose and the pictures and the images. You won't believe it. You can't believe it. Oh, the big reveal. The big reveal's over. It's one of the reasons I like that song, The Veil. That song is called The Veil. But it's more about the lifting of the veil between you and God. I'm not looking for an answer here. from you. You know what I mean? I'm not looking for approval or anything like that. It wouldn't move me one way or another, no offense. I just listened to the whole CD this morning while I was working. The whole EP released today. And I had a pretty good time with most of it. There were some things that were off, but then I think about like... See, I don't know. I guess that's the weirdest part about this thing. I've spent most of my life listening very closely to music. I've sat down with CDs and, and gone through them with friends, gone through them alone with a fine tooth comb. You know what I mean? What music was my life all through high school. When I had a band, I was trying to figure out what, what, you know, styles in metal, what we wanted to take, what we wanted to not do, what we wanted to emulate, all that kind of stuff. And, uh, You know, listening to this EP this morning, it's just the same feeling that I have listening to a human, I guess. But I don't know. I may be listening to a human. That's what I don't know. There's no clarification in this world. And that's kind of what I want to talk to you about. It's like, this is just one example of the world that we live in, right? Where things will come to be in our world. And the transparency on what they really are just might not be there. And of course, there's a big part of me that wants to eschew this. So I listen to the music, right? I listen to the music, be it created by the mouth of the AI-generated or AI-modified woman that is being presented as Noah Rue, So I listen to that music. What is that music? There's a consistent voice that could be generated by AI. There's a consistent style that I really love. That also probably could be generated and replicated and all that. But to me, here's some giveaways. I didn't want this to turn into an eight-minute music class, and I'm sorry, but we're just going to have a show today. That's what we're going to do. Transitions. The transitions... in some of the music are a bit forced and they remind me of human music. They remind me of writing music and writing transitions in the garage with my band and going like, how do we get from here to here? And then making clunky transitions, right? Or making, maybe not necessarily clunky transitions, but abrupt transitions. the songs are all short, right? Which is, you know, that is what it is too. Writing music's not easy. You know, it's thoughtful and layered in ways that make me wonder whether or not, I think a musician had their hands in this product, right? It's not a prompt. The whole thing is not a prompt. But the songs are great, man. But we are here. We are here. You know what I mean? Where there is a thing, there is a product, there is a piece of this. And the reason it's so stark to me is because AI and creativity is interesting to me, whether it's going to sink or float. And what I never really. contemplated until this artist was, well, what happens when you braid them? Like, what happens when you just adorn the human creativity with them enough that you might not be able to tell? And what's better for an artist than that? I mean, what's better for an artist who isn't looking to ruin their life with fame, but really loves making music than to create a sort of artificial intelligent persona, right? I don't know. It's pretty cool. I really like it. I like the album. Maybe the presentation is weird. But then again, I also know artists who wear, I don't know them, but you know, there are artists out there who wear masks. makeup. You know what I mean? I don't know. Sorry to drop that on you. What these guys have done They're not pulling any information from anywhere but our shows. So they've taken almost 1,000 episodes of the Prepper Broadcasting Network archive, re-transcribed them because the transcriptions through Spreaker are crap, re-transcribed all these episodes, built a filter that takes, and this is not easy. You guys should appreciate this more than anybody. Built out a filter that was kind of a little, A little too stringent, but I told them to back it off a little bit, but it's still amazing. Built out a filter that pulls out a show like today's show. Really, it flags a show like today's show and goes, hey, this one is not necessarily super focused on preparedness information. Or this one is a little too focused on whatever, news. Filters portions of shows, filters the entire shows, grabs... pertinent prepping information in transcript mode or in the transcription vehicle and also the audio. And what it gives you the ability to do is ask the PBN brain anything. You know what I mean? You can ask it anything. It looks like an AI, like, you know, one of the AIs, one of the AI hubs, right? There's a search bar, and you can ask it anything, right? You could say, like... I want to build a first aid kit. Or maybe I should ask the question, how do I build a robust first aid kit? All right, so I'm typing that into the archive. And when you hit search, I mean, it takes a minute. You know what I mean? Like it's doing a thing that is impressive. And boom, so the answer pops, right? The answer pops. Oh, it also has the archive, like the current set of shows is sitting there as well. The archive answers, okay? So check this out. It generates this. A robust first aid kit should be well-stocked with treatments for common injuries, not just severe ones, and include items like burn cream. Do I want to tell you about the Norbertine Cananesses? Maybe I do and just on our way out. Just because this is me talking about the things I want to talk about right now. Because I needed a show like that today. I just needed it. I don't know. I just needed it, man. About a week, two weeks ago. Probably about a week. It's probably been very long. I read an article about these nuns. Right? I've come to realize, like, and this is a bigger topic for another show, but don't be surprised if you hear me more on Sundays. But I've come to realize, like, you know, if you You will focus on something throughout the day. And the more you focus on God, it's sort of like a diet where you eat less junk the more you focus on God. Right? You intake less junk the more God you intake. There's 24 hours in a day. If you have to intake, if you can't endure silence, the more godly stuff you intake, the less junk food you get in the brain. If you get my drift, right? Whatever that looks like for you. One of the reasons that society is so adrift on breath lately is because of that, right? We focus on the next pissed off thing that's happening in society. What are we mad about today? Everybody gather around. Tell me what we're mad about. My own father is sort of a counterweight to all of that because he laughs about everyone complaining how bad things are in the United States and their giant SUVs and their stocked fridges and their DoorDash burritos and their You know, all of these things that my dad, being a man who was, you know, just making it just above board his whole life, just looks around and laughs about, you know, having lived through the 50s, 60s, Vietnam, all that kind of stuff, watching all that take shape in the United States, oil shortages, real problems. Watching it all take place and from the perspective of a real working class, like you better get your ass up and go to work or we're going to lose the house type of guy. He just laughs at it all. You know, he really does. He really just. And he adds this sort of counterbalance to it all. You know what I mean? Like, cheer up, you big wuss. Right? So, in the face of all of that, I've just been seeking out better stuff to listen to, better stuff to watch, better stuff to read. And I came across these nuns, this nunnery in California, of all places, in the heart of darkness, in the warp That is California. And they wake up at midnight. They do a prayer for the world at midnight. And part of that prayer, this happens every night, and part of that prayer when they wake up in the middle of their sleep is to the mothers who are up with their kids, with their babies. The new mothers who, part of their big prayer is for the mothers who are awake at the same time as them. Feeding their. Newborns. You know. It was like a. I don't know how to explain it. It was just like a. Struck me. Like a body shot. You know what I mean. It just. I just. Just so vividly. I could see. Like. Sleepy eyed mothers. Dragging themselves. From the bed. The baby hasn't slept. They're feeding the child. And like. You know. My sister was a single mom. Yeah. But you don't have to be a single mom to feel like a single mom in that moment, right? Even if dad shows up and rubs your shoulder, it's like, yeah, there's only so much you can do here, buddy. So it's one of those weird moments where you can feel so alone like that, I assume. And I don't know. It's just like, who came up with that idea? And the fact that you've not only come up with it, but you've stuck with it. Now it's a part of this nightly prayer where you drag yourselves up out of bed. to sit around and pray for the mothers who are up. you know, weary, breastfeeding the newborn babies, the next generation, right? It so blew me away that I had to just learn more about the Norbertine canonesses of the Bethlehem Priory of St. Joseph, and I think I'm saying that word right. Long story short, I went to their website. I got what is an amazing coffee mug. I mean, it is like, I don't know. I just wanted to help them out. And it turned out they had a really great mug. I mean, we'll talk about it. I'll show it off one day because I do have strict sort of rules for the best of the best mugs. And this one really hits it. But check them out, man. The Norbertine Canonesses who wake up in the middle of the night. To pray with mothers who are breastfeeding and up late with the kids. There's just something so beautifully human about that and sympathetic about that and that. I don't know. It just hit me just the right way, you know? So I've been listening to them on YouTube a lot also. They have a playlist of chants and things like that. There is something to it, folks. you know, to the most cynical and possibly atheistic of you out there, I'm just telling you. Just use your common sense, you know what I mean? Like, we're talking about 2,000-year-olds. Basically, what we're talking about is the user's manual for humanity that's 2,000 years old, 2,000 years worth of Of purchases and reviews. You know what I mean? This stuff works. This stuff works. So many people are online yelling about desperation and not trying God. I don't know. Maybe you're not as desperate as you think. Get in the Bible. It makes a huge difference. Get repetitive. Have. Open conversations with God. It's better than therapy. Like, voice your prayers and your concerns to God. You will literally come away feeling better than anything you can do. You're in sort of this judgment-free zone where it's like, you know, sometimes you just want to say things out loud. Sometimes when you say things out loud, you realize how dumb they are. Right? And that can just clear. Up a whole. layer of anxiety. But if you just hold it all inside and try to cover it up with any number of sinful things, you'll pay the price long term. PBN family, thank you for humoring me over the last 30 minutes.
