She's an author, a fighter, a mother, and a wife. Her writings and central philosophy is that you can be confident in any survival situation. I'm looking forward to talking to her about that. If you have the skills and proper mental attitude, amen. Uh, through her fiction novels, the changing earth series, she teaches people through a fictional experience, just how fragile our manufactured society is, man. That's good. Sarah, thank you for joining us on church estate. Thank you for having me. I'm pleasured. Uh, pleased to be here. Yeah, no, it's an absolute pleasure on my end. Um, First and foremost, I just want to ask you, what gave you the idea to write a series like this? Really, it was one day I was down at the river with my girlfriends and I was like, what would happen if the power went out? And they were like, well, we wouldn't have our blow dryers and our curling irons. Right. And I saw an immediate disconnect there. I was like, what about refrigeration and communications? So just thinking on this different level than than most folks do. You know, I grew up country hunting and fishing and gardening and canning and just being one with nature. And just watching everybody, you know, just fall away from it and not really have any connection, any understanding of how important it is for us to have that connection. And so I just started dabbling. Like I always wrote creatively just because I like to. And I was going to business school. My teacher told me, you write too flowery. You know, it has to be. Just meat and potatoes. None of this adjectives and adverbs, you know. So I started writing the story just in my free time of what would happen if I was down the hill when stuff went down and I had to make my way back home. What would that look like in that scenario? Yeah, I got to say, I absolutely love that. Now, you and I were talking off camera and the location for your hero in your story is in the Sacramento area. And so you and I both lived in the same area, just kind of kind of what northeast or I guess of Sacramento, the Placerville area on the way to Tahoe. But you and I both kind of grew up there. Well, I mean, you grew up in Michigan, you said, but you lived there for a time. Yeah, 25 years I was out there in California. Beautiful country up there. I mean, it's just gorgeous. It's just really a shame that the politics and everything and the taxes, you know, we knew if we bought a home there, we were going to be a slave to that mortgage for the rest of our life. And I do a lot of traveling because of the books. And I teach self-defense and anti-kidnappings and sexual assault classes to women and kids. And I knew I was not going to be able to travel anymore. All of those things were going to go away if I invested my money there. So, yeah, that's what really took us out of California. But that area is beautiful and definitely was a great backdrop for the story. I don't want to give too many spoilers, but we'll see if it's there very long. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, Sacramento would most certainly be a target. It's, you know, the capital of California, obviously, but it is a zoo. It's an absolute mess. And you're right. I share with you, I'm not pleased by the demise of California. I'm originally from there. I was born in the Bay Area. I lived where we're talking about, Placerville area. And it is, it's beautiful. It's a beautiful state. And it's been absolutely just wrecked by liberal policies. It has. And it is a shame because there was so much of it that was. You know, not politically leaning towards the cities took it over. The cities took over the state. And then most people that wanted to retain freedom and that ended up leaving, which left it in even worse condition. And honestly, they just regulated themselves into their corner where, you know, a porta potty or a bathroom to put it up in San Francisco now costs them a million dollars to put up just because of regulation, which is really sad. I guess they'd rather have them pooping on the street, huh? Yes, it's bad. It's gross. Now, I don't want to reveal too much about the book because I want my audience to read it. And it's a series. I've actually read. It was funny as I was doing some research. I realized I had read your first book, but I had read it years ago. So I want my audience to read all of them. I'm certainly going to go back and reread the one that I've read and then get some more. But I want to focus the conversation on survival because I love what you say here, that you can be confident in any survival situation if you have the skills and proper mental attitude. My wife has recently started to enjoy watching the show Naked and Afraid. And, you know, I realize, you know, there's a lot of it is commercialized, you know, where there's some things going on behind the scenes that we're not privy to. But regardless, it's still an enjoyable show. And if she's going to watch that, I'll take that over watching Dance Moms or something. So I can sit in front of the television and watch it with her. But that positive mental attitude, I've seen some people on that show, their resume, it looks good. Like they know what they're doing. They're out there hunting. They're talking themselves up. They get out there and their mental attitude just drops. They're tapping out almost immediately. Yeah, there was a show, too, called Colony. And it was all about they went into Katrina after the hurricane happened there. Or they went into Louisiana after Katrina hit. And they were doing like a what if it was a collapse scenario? What would that look like? You know, how would that play out? And one guy was like a hardcore prepper. And by the end, he was like hiding in the bushes and like completely mentally slipped. That was like a big wake up call to, you know, you can have a lot of stuff. You can prep all the stuff you want and have have, you know, all of the cool gadgetries and all of this. But if you don't have mind, body and soul together, then you really don't have anything. I've watched people who could not put their go bag on their back and walk, you know, two feet. Let alone for a day, right? If you get into a physical altercation, you better know how to handle yourself in a way that is going to end that in the fastest way possible so that you can go and take care of your kids and get water and food and deal with all of that and not broken bones. And then spiritually, just watching people, the negative energy, I just call it like the goo, that is just kind of encapsulating society of this greed and just depression and The pharmaceutical company just shoving stuff down people's throats instead of people really taking a minute to look interior and go, you know what? You know, I make my bed every morning. And the reason that I make my bed every morning is because I want the world to be a better place. And I understand I need to start that right here at my own home. And so bringing that together has really been a really awesome byproduct of writing my series and getting to know all of these people, going from the understanding of like my family and I are going to survive in the woods. We could do it right. We could do that. But I don't want to have to be killing people. And I would rather be having a community of prepared people who understand what's going on than having to. Fight the world. And so I went from really this Lone Ranger mentality of like, oh, our family will just survive and screw everybody else to like, I want communities to survive. I want us to be there for each other, to be able to help each other and aid each other in time of need. And so that really opened up my book as far as people were like, well, you tell people that you're a prepper? Yes, I tell people I'm a prepper because I want them to understand why. I sell insurance during the day. You get insurance for your house. Why? Because your house is going to burn down tomorrow? Maybe, maybe not. But it's good to have the insurance policy right and being prepared is the same way. And if we get prepared people, we make prepared communities that are agile and can help each other instead of going into some kind of Mad Max scenario. I completely agree with everything you're saying. And there's also a political element here. I like being around people that prepare because those are the types of people that don't look to government as the solution. And those are the kind of people that vote in similar ways that I want to vote. I actually believe wholeheartedly, and I think you're probably going to be in the same position I am. Feel free to disagree, though. I believe that if we had more and more preppers in this country, we could actually transform this country back to a more limited government style. Well, our roots are really that independent mindset, right? But you have to understand that with that independent mindset came a core. Set of values that held us all together. And so with the degradation of our core set of values is what really started making it so that the independence of it all looked kind of selfish, look kind of greedy, look kind of grody and corrupt. And so, yeah, without that core value system, then we are in trouble. But absolutely. I try to tell people all the time, like FEMA is not coming for you. They don't care about you like they they do. So I shouldn't say that because I know good people that work there. But their concern is the most amount of people they can help at once. They're there to get roads open. They're there to get the lights on. They're there to get the water supply. They don't care if you're sitting on top of your roof going, I need help. That's for you to have. Your team and your plans to be able to help yourself and get yourself out of that position. Have your own food supply that's ready to go instead of going, well, I'm waiting on the government to bring. Me some water. I mean, that's just ridiculous. That's not their job at all. And it never really should have been. Yeah, they got deep into our life because of interstate trade. And now here we are. Yeah. Now look at what we've become. I want to go back to something you were talking about with that mental attitude. There's two things. I want to definitely cover the spiritual aspects of this. But also, I just want to say from from my own experience, my time in the Marine Corps, I have been out in the field, some some situations that just suck. You know, this is why they say anybody in the military embrace the suck. But I was always that guy that was was. Yeah, it was it was just I was the guy cracking jokes. And trying to make the situation a little bit better because I knew we could get past it. We could get beyond it. But there were people that I was around that were just miserable. And it was something that I saw the leadership in the Marine Corps, when they identified that individual, they scooped him up. They grabbed him. They corrected the situation because one bad actor, one lone person that's all depressed, that black mood can completely transform the environment around them. Yeah. Um, it's like a cancer that has to be cut out quickly. Um, so we can plant seeds to try and help. Those people out. But, um, I've also learned like cool plants that exist in nature that will maybe give somebody an upset tummy and maybe they don't want to be eating your food anymore. So maybe they'll leave your camp because something's just not. Agreeing with them anymore. So there definitely is that piece of how do we handle that situation because we can't just have them scooped up in a survival situation. But for me, everybody's like, okay, well, we got to have defenses and guns and leadership and military and this and that and the other. And I like to encourage everybody that everybody is so important. Everybody has their place. And maybe that person just needs a hug. And maybe they just need to sit with grandma for a little bit. So our elders are so important. They know so many things about connecting with our earth and how to survive. Some of them saw. Depression era and things like that where they made do with what they had. So I hate to hear like older people are like, oh, well, I'm out. I'm done. I'm you know, I don't want to be a part of that. Well, we really. Need those people and we need those people who are socially agile. It's definitely not me. I'm kind of a bull in a china shop. I'd be like, suck it up and move on. You know, I train a lot of martial arts. That's just how I am. But there's a lot of people who are really socially adept to be able to identify, like, how can we take whatever this person's feeling and really get them turned around and our pastors and things like that to be able to connect them back to reality base and hopefully make them a productive part of the community because that's what everybody needs to be. Sure. Well, sir, I just got to, I just got to say, if I ever come over for dinner and I develop an upset stomach, I'm just going to assume that you want me to leave. So I'll make my exit there. It's a great story. Spirituality, you know, a lot of preppers that I've talked to will tend to bypass this. And I think it's one of the most important elements about this because you have to have that spiritual connection. If you are going through the worst case scenario of And, you know, the old adage of there's no atheist in a foxhole. You got to be connected. You know, for me, obviously, Jesus Christ, he is king, he is Lord. I'm going to push everybody that wants to get prepared. Hey, if you want, you know, beans, bullets, all that kind of stuff. Yes. But make sure a Bible is included in that as well. Yeah. So yeah, Jesus Christ is definitely my Lord and Savior as well. And so anything that comes out of my mouth to help somebody with their inner spirit is definitely going to reflect there. I'm not really the type of person that likes to hit you over the head with it. But that's me. And so if you're asking me for advice, that's where it's going to come from. That hasn't always been the case. I was raised Roman Catholic. I went to church on Wednesday and on Sunday and I had a beat over my head and beat over my head and beat over my head. I'm also not somebody who really likes to adhere to the rules of men or women unless I severely respect that person. Then if you tell me to jump, I'm going to say, how freaking high do you want me to go? Right. So I'm not having it in this organized fashion where you have to follow this rule and follow that rule. And I don't see evidence for that in the Bible. And I was getting really disconnected. Another piece we could go to is like my relationship as a female with the Bible, which was really interesting and took me a while to come to the understanding. But I reached a point of my life where I was tired of dealing with depression. I was tired of being angry. I was very angry. I like to fight. You know, I mean, that gave me a good outlet. And I was just, I had an emotional snap that would happen that I couldn't control. And I couldn't get a grip on that. And so I started talking a lot with Brian Duff, having him on my show. And he was an ex-Army Ranger medic. And he has a lot of PTSD. And he talks about that and his struggle with PTSD and how he overcame that. And I started recognizing a lot of things that he was. Doing for PTSD that I was already doing to try and control my anger, like recognizing that before it comes up right before it happens. So I'm already making those steps. And then I wanted to live on a higher plane. I wanted to vibrate on the higher plane right on this. Area where I knew I could achieve. I could get there. I could live happy if I could just figure out how to get there and stay there. Right. So I started going into a lot of meditation work. I suck at meditation. I'm like, I have to do martial arts forms or something. Like I'm a go, go, go, go, go person. So it's just really. Tough for me to slow down and try and instant, you know, and everybody. Talking about the universe and this, that, and the other. And I realized, you know, God is everywhere, right? They're talking about the same thing. They're just not calling it God. And they believe in evil spirits. They believe in Satan, but you don't believe in God. And so everything that I was going through trying to get myself to this higher spiritual plane just brought me back to the feet of Jesus. And then we started reading the Bible for Christmas time. You can read Luke. And if you do a day, a section every day, every night, by the time Christmas rolls around, you're at the end of Luke. So we started doing that in December a few years back. And we loved it. We loved it so much. My son was going to a darker place. He was into villains and all of this. It was just darkness, darkness, you know. And so when we started doing that, we loved that so much. And so now every night after dinner, my family and I, we read the Bible. My boys are arguing over who gets to read first and how much. And I don't want to get shorted on my reading. And it's epic. And I've also been listening to the Halo app. So I listen to that in the morning. They do a Bible in the year. And so I listen to that every single morning. I think I'm on my fourth year through that. I just listen to it over and over again. And you get little gems every time because the more you listen, the more it connects. And the more you understand, and then now I'm translating to my kids, you know, what this stuff actually means. So it's just been an incredible journey as far as faith goes. And absolutely 100% when you get down, I don't, I can't say I never snap because I snapped just the other day and really disappointed myself because I've been doing so well, right? But I'm not out down for the count. I talk to Jesus about it. We come to an understanding. He gives me guidance and we come back up and we move back on and I'm able to help other folks do that now as well, which is, you know, the best gift you can give to people. Well, I love this story and I love that you're willing to share that with the audience. And I mean, let me just say, you know, we all screw up. I mean, that is the human condition. We are sinful by nature, but thankfully we have a God who that comes down and meets us and still loves us and guides us as you, as you pointed out. Um, I also love that you're, you're reading the word. I mean, this is so important that we read God's holy word is it's the best way to connect with the creator of all is to read the words that he wrote for us. Uh, so I just, I commend you for that. Um, you alluded to, um, As a woman, you were struggling with Christianity. Can you dive into that a little bit? I mean, what you're comfortable with, but I'd love for you to share that with the audience. I'm really comfortable with this because this is something I think that is really misunderstood in our society. So we I'm a powerful woman and I, you know, I just am. And I thank the Lord that he provided me with a man who is strong enough to stand by my side. Like I needed a man who was man enough to be like, yeah, I respect you for being the independent, awesome chick you are. So we have a fantastic relationship. And yeah, he's an absolute stud. So it's not like strong women get weak men or something like that. No, no. You just have to be more of a man to be able to handle a woman like that, right? So some are scared. I get it. Um, so as a woman, uh, in today's day and age with, um, you know, authority, I guess, of whatever we have these days to read the Bible at first, I was like, wow, you know, women, they really get the short end of the stick. You know, I'm like, this is just crazy. I don't understand what's going on here. And it was really a turnoff, uh, for a while. So then I started watching Shepherd's Chapel. Father Murray has now passed away, or Pastor Murray, the older gentleman. But man, he was a fantastic translator. Of the word. And he taught me that we're putting on our modern lens to look at Bible that was written hundreds. Of years ago. So before the. Bible, women and children, they died. Well, I mean, even still up through the area, they died a lot. They were nothing. They were treated like nothing. Like men were like the elves because they lived a long time. Right. You have like how many wives over your lifespan. And women were just like, oh, well, just throw her out and get another one. You know, children. Oh, are they going to make it to be an adult? Who knows? Throw them out. Get another one. The Judeo-Christian Bible and Judaism was the first time that women were given rights. It was the start of everything that I am as a woman today. And, you know, Moses, the land was given to the daughters whose didn't have the son alive because their tribe was still assured that inheritance. And so the women were given property for the first time, which was like, you know, unheard of for that to happen. And if women were supposed to just be property, then we wouldn't have a 10 commandments that says, don't cover the neighbor's wife. And then next one. Says, don't cover the property. If women were property, that would just be one commandment in there, right? Also the word that God uses for when he created a woman for a man, help her. The only time that word is used other than I created her for you as your helper is to refer to God's position, God's role to a man as a helper. That is the same word. OK, so this is like stuff that you got to just dive deep. You got to keep understanding that this was epic for women to have. We have tons of women in. The Bible who fulfill really awesome prophetic roles. You know, Deborah, Ruth. My favorite is Judith. Right. So many cool stories about women who are like off the chain, just did some great stuff. And then Jesus comes along and he's like, this is my daughter and this is my son. Don't mess with the daughter as much as you don't mess with the son. And so it really helps put that into a click relationship of the man and woman become one soul. The man honors the woman like church, like God, like everything to him. And the woman gives the same respect back to the man and reaches enlightenment through her relationship with him. That's really beautiful. So, yeah, it was a long time coming. But now I'm just like, you guys need to hear. You got to keep reading. You got to keep understanding. And then don't put it on the modern lens. Like, understand, this was groundbreaking stuff for women. We would never be where we are without that, without the word, without the Torah. I love this because, you know, the secular leftist feminist is going to be very, very troubled, very upset that her rights come from Christianity. I love it. But you've absolutely nailed it. So hopefully one of them has stumbled on the program and is now having a light bulb moment. We're coming up on a break here real quick. I want to point everybody to the website, and you might have to correct me on this, but it's the changingearthseries.com. Is that correct? Just changingearthseries.com. Changingearthseries.com. Chris can show that to the audience right there. This is where you can check out the book. We're going to plug this website a whole lot more when we come back and talk a little bit more about prepping. Hey, this is Caleb Collier with Church and State. I'm here to tell you about Hunter's Blend Coffee. I got to tell you, I absolutely love this stuff. I'm all about the dark roast. Hunter's Blend Coffee, black powder. Doesn't that just sound like deliciousness and rebellion? I got to tell you, in America, we don't drink tea. No, we drink coffee. It's the food of the gods, and I endorse and support Hunter's Blend Coffee. I got to tell you. tastes like freedom. So I need you to go over to churchandstate.media, scroll to Hunter's Blend Coffee, and use the promo code churchandstate to help support us. When you go to huntersblendcoffee.com, not only will you be getting a great cup of coffee, but you also, if you use the promo code churchandstate, be supporting Church and State in our dogged pursuit of truth. And we are back. Thank you for staying with us. You're over at churchandstate.media. We're going to go right back to our guests. But real quick, got to plug one of our awesome affiliates. And I'm going to go to mark37. com. Why? Because if you're prepping and you're not paying attention to communications, well, there's a big giant hole in your plan. Get yourself a ghost phone. or a ghost laptop because the communication devices that you're using now are spying on everything that you're doing. So you know that government that you don't really trust, that maybe you don't want them to know about the fact that you're stockpiling ammunition and food and water. They're reading through all your texts. They have that. It's in the algorithms. That's what these data centers are doing. They're spying on everything you're doing. If that concerns you, you can do something about it. Go to mark37. com. Get yourself a ghost phone that's operating on Graphene OS or a laptop that's running off of Linux and get out of that spy matrix that they're building for you. Not for you. To spy on you is really what it's about. So go check them out. mark37. com. Use that promo code CHURCHANDSTATE. You're going to get a discount and you help support us. And one more time, hit the donate button for us. Conversations like this are so important. As you know, my show is, is just, you never know what you're going to get. I mean, today we're talking about prepping, uh, tomorrow, who knows? Uh, but it's, it's a great program. I hope you like it. And if you do hit the donate button. All right, with that, let's go ahead and go back to our guest, Sarah Hathaway. She's been in sharing, uh, just her spiritual journey, which I so appreciate. And I hope it really resonates, especially with the women who like this show. But I want to move back into to prepping, talking about her books. And so, Sarah, as we're moving forward for the rest of this interview, perhaps one of the things that I'd like to ask you, I think would benefit the audience is if you were to give advice, if somebody is a complete novice and they're like, you know, this makes sense to be a little bit prepared. I don't want to be like full blown out there, like we're moving into the woods and we're just getting solar power. And like most people aren't ready for something like that. But for your average person, what would be maybe the three steps that you would encourage them to take to get a little bit more on the side of being prepared? Yeah, that's a great question. We actually moved from 40 acres to one. So it was a big downsize of what we do, right? And so my three steps would be, first of all, be ready to evacuate. If you have 250 people show up on your lawn because of societal unrest or whatever, don't defend your home. Just get the rock out of there. So have your birth certificates, your insurance policies, all your important documents in a quick grab and go. Have a go bag that you can survive off of for a little bit and just be able to go. And it's not just about societal unrest. We have hurricanes. We have all kinds of storms moving through. We have crazy stuff that if you know of wildfires and things like that, you know that story. So you need to be. Able to evacuate quickly within five minutes is best because then you get out there before everybody else does. So that's a great first preparedness step. Then I would go a little bit more into your home. So water is really, really important. And most of us don't have wells, especially if we're in an urban environment. I use a system called a waterfall system. And it has 30 gallons of potable water. It hooks outside of your house and you just run it through this thing every day with your hose. Use it like normal and it's potable water that's there for you when you need it. And then figure out cool. Ways of, you know, backstoring some water. Get a good water filter. I lean towards the Alexa Pure. It is a. Two stainless steel jugs that stack on top of each other. I like that system because I know I can. Throw whatever water into there. But also, if it was long term, I can turn it into a nature filled water filter. That's that's. Obviously a little bit more in depth, but the Alexa Pure is a great system that you can just, you've been storing water in a kitty litter bucket for days. You can pour it in there and I mean, you know, drink it if you wanted to. I'd use that for gray water though. Have your water full, something like that. Cause water storage is really tough. Third is I would start planting a garden now. You need to just practice. You need just experience with how it goes with putting a seed in the ground. How does that plant come up? What does it produce? Dealing with bugs, dealing with varmints, dealing with sun and wind and rain and what all that looks like. Because it's not as easy as just putting a. Seed in the ground and ta-da! You have magic garden that's there to feed you, you know. So we try to think about like one staple. We're actually redoing an area of our yard so that we can do potatoes there because we need more of like a staple meal, not just like tomatoes and cucumbers, which we grow a lot of. They're really good. Don't get me wrong. But, you know, you need that one staple item that you can actually grow. So, and I learned how to like downsize my chicken coop. I used to have like 70 chickens, you know, now I have like 12 and I learned how to make it look cutesy urban and everything look cutesy urban. So my neighbors aren't like, what are you doing over there? You know, it's just like, no, I like fresh eggs and I like having a little garden and stuff like that. Sure. Let me ask you something else as well. I know there's always a fear factor when dealing with people. And what I have found is people really like to talk about what they're passionate about. So Sarah, if I were to come to you, say I'm a neighbor of yours in Texas there, and I come to you and I'm like, hey, I stumbled upon your website. I didn't know you did all this stuff. I got to admit, I don't know anything about prepping, but I'd like to learn a little bit about this. Are you going to make fun of me? Are you going to ridicule me for that? Or are you going to like take me under your wing? Oh, I would be so under the wing. Let's go, right? I'd be like, first of all, you need to get yourself in a martial arts school. I'm training Krav and I love it. I've trained martial arts since I, for like 25 years now, I've done multiple Korean styles. I've done all the jujitsu styles. I've done Taekwondo. I've done close quarters combat with ex Marines and civil, you know. Defense contractors and stuff. But Krav is the most, Self-defense oriented, teach you how to defend yourself skill there is. And that's where I would start 100% because that's going to help you today. That's going to help you tomorrow, no matter what that future holds. And it helps your body, your mind, your spirit. So, um, that would be step one is like, let's get you into the martial arts school. You know, we'll get you over there. And then, um, yeah, I would not ridicule at all. There are people. Inside of the preparedness community that put up walls and things like this. I hate it. I just hate it because, um, they're like, well. They're call us this and that and the other, well, way to let your ego get in the way and not help somebody else out. Right. So no, um, a hundred percent, I would be like, let's, let's get started, get started with the basics. And, um, Go shooting. We're in Texas. I love that. And I want to echo something you just said to anybody who has that mentality. You know, it could be prepping. It could be that you consider yourself awake. You know, you you've looked into all these different conspiracies and you're like, I know the truth. Remember that you weren't born that way. Nobody was born a prepper. Right. You know, maybe you born into a family. But you had to learn all of this stuff. And so if some novice comes to you and says, you know, hey, I've been watching what you're doing. I feel like I need to get more prepared. Have that gentle spirit, like take him under your wing, teach them some some things. Honestly, it's going to benefit you as well. So I really appreciate that. Now, I want to go back to your books again, because from what I read anyway, Hollywood's paying a little bit of attention to you. They may want to make this into a series. Is that correct? Yeah, that's the game plan that we're working on. So one production company has picked it up and produced a trailer. We're looking for a production partner because it is an expensive project. So, yeah, but I'm just itching for the day that it hits the TV screen and everything's a marathon and not a sprint. But, you know, hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait. So I just keep jump through the hoops that they have for me and, you know, praying that the Lord blesses me with that opportunity because that would be really cool. I mean, people like apocalyptic series. You know, I'm sure you probably you remember Jericho like Jericho was so good. Oh, it was so good. And then they wrecked it. They like canceled it after the first season. And then the fans were all in an uproar. So they brought it back. But then they just sped it up real quickly to finish it off. It was so bad what they did to that. But people people love apocalyptic series. They like going into it and seeing what it would look like. Mad Max. There's so many different movies and television series that are about this subject. Yeah, Walking Dead, you know, people watched it for the survival aspect of it more so than like, oh, I like to watch zombies. Let's face it. I mean, they're just like, you know, walking around, right? But people are like, let's see the cool survival dynamics. And that's really my work. So everyone's like, well, why don't you just do movies, right? Why don't you just make it into a series of movies? Because it's not about the disasters. It's about the dynamics of society. When we have our planet changing all around us, we have to rapidly adapt to what that looks like, how we survive. There. What does the social outlay of that look like? What do we do with the people who lost their land versus the people who kept their land? We can't just have chaos going on, you know, so they round them up into FEMA camps and this And I've talked to a lot of people within government and they're like, wow, who told you. That that's how things would like go down? And I was like, you, because I just dreamt it up. You know, I was just writing books to have fun and explore those concepts in my head of what that would look like. And yeah, so some of that was kind of eerie. But then also when I was writing book five, I started researching Tim Ballard and a lot of the work he was doing against human trafficking before that became like a well-known thing with the Sound of Freedom and all that. And it was very disturbing to me. So I wanted to take that mission on my shoulders as well. So I really involved a lot of human trafficking and what that would look like, you know, in a future society and brought that in because I knew I had a platform, a voice to be able to help women and help people understand what is going on in our planet right now with slavery, with human trafficking. You know, and be a force for that and try to help empower women to understand that you can defend yourself. You can learn how to do that. And so you don't have to become that next victim. Teach your daughters. You know, a lot of times these encounters, they don't last longer than eight seconds. So if you can just defend yourself for that time, you can make it home safe that day. You know, so that that became a lot of my mission to through my novels, through the platform that I had. So you're going on a wild ride as you get into my book series. Well, I encourage the audience to do just that, to get into the book series. You made me think of another question. You know, I like to be a solutions oriented show. And so talking about women and you and obviously you've done a lot with martial arts. But just actually my show is most popular with women between the ages of 40 to 60. So there's your audience. What are three strike points for ladies, you know, that maybe they're getting attacked? And what are the three areas that and obviously I'm asking you a very leading question here. But what are some areas that they might want to target? Yeah. So I don't ever I'm not saying that you should defend yourself one way or another. And I'm not held responsible for anything that anybody does in that situation. I just have to kind of precursor that I go with the three finger method using my middle finger, using the two supporters and you just jab right to the throat here. It can literally collapse their windpipe and kill them. So it's very important that you feel very threatened in that scenario. The eye is another great area. I don't care how big you are, how strong you are. If somebody is gouging into your eyes, you're going to stop. It's kind of primordial. You freak out in that way, right? Also, don't take biting off the list. But I mean, because people freak out when they get bit and it hurts, right? We do the ear cup eye gouge. So you would have one thumb in their eye holding their head firm. You make a cup with your other hand and smack their eardrum with that. You'll explode their eardrum. Again, it's a really bad feeling. So I don't really care how big you are. You're going to be affected by the ear cup eye gouge. Yeah. You know, that's one of the things with martial arts. And I did jujitsu for a while, even did a little bit of Krav Maga. But with women here, I mean, it's explosive violence. And then you are getting out like you're not like in the movies, you know, like I put you down and you're down now and I can walk slowly away. Things explode behind me. Right. Because it looks really cool. Yeah. You put the man down and you get out of Dodge. You run away because they might get back up. I'm always about kicking out their knees too. If you can destroy their knee, at least they can't chase you. Right. So, and that's another thing about my book series. I try my, my main character is a female, but I try to keep her real. So like everybody can relate with her. So a lot of times she's not like a super woman who comes in and she knows martial arts and stuff. Well, like you say, the reality of that, when you're up against multiple people or large men, me, I'm five. Foot, nothing, a hundred, nothing. I don't have any illusions about that. Right. Okay. I know what happens. So a lot of times it's, you know, how the circumstances played out, how she was supported to be able to get through that, how, you know, it wasn't just her. It was the team. Sure. Okay. Now we're running down to the end of the interview, but I want to bring up your website one more time, and I'm just going to give it over to you. Tell everyone the website. Tell everyone why they should go there, the books they can order. Just plug yourself. Okay. So you can go to changingearthseries.com. It's changingearthseries.com. It's an 11 novel series now. There's nine books on the main series with two side novels because everybody loved to hate my bad guy so much. He got his origin story. And then one of the soldiers of my story has their own story. And then we have the audio drama, which is like a 50s radio show. And everybody from PBN. Is on there. I'll have to get you on there doing a voice. And we all do the voices. And I put all the music together for it. I do all the sound effects, all of that. So that's been a lot of fun to produce. And then I also. Do the Changing Earth podcast where I take the facts out of my fiction because I love to teach through my fiction. You're not just going to read a mindless story. You're going to be educated as you read the story. And so I take those facts out of my fiction and we do the Changing Earth podcast on that information as well. Well, I absolutely love that. I encourage the audience to get there. I'm going to have to add voice actor to my resume. I will definitely take you up on that, Sarah. I'd love to be a part of this. It'd be a lot of fun. So I'm going to go ahead and close this out. If you hold on one more minute post-production to say our goodbyes, I'd appreciate it. But I just, I love that you joined the show. Thank you so much for your time. Thank you for all your work and what you're not just writing, but teaching people, you know, as they say, teaching people how to fish. I so appreciate that about you. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. That's been my mission. I just feel like I've been here for it. So thanks for your time as well. Amen. Thank you so much. All right, ladies and gentlemen, there you go. A great author, a great guest. Honestly, I, I so encourage you to go to changing earth series.com.
