PBN Family, it is the Intrepid Commander here. How you doing? Been a lot lately, huh? Been a lot going on. I am buried, buried with a capital B in things that I owe you. I mean, oh my God, do I ever owe you things. It's, what did I, what have I said? You know what I mean? We have Contingency Tech. I talked about a show coming out called Contingency Tech where we're going to just talk Just prep or tech, right? 15, 20, man, no big deal, right? I have not done a single episode. Could You Survive? Could You Survive is coming. It is going to be awesome. I did it up like, I don't know. It just wasn't quite there. I made a bunch of graphics, made a bunch of between the show stuff. um, video, and, and that kind of thing, and it didn't do, it was too childish, it was kiddy, it was like, I had this sort of 8-bit vision for, for it, and it just didn't work, you know what I mean, it really didn't, and I put some time into it, so now we have to revamp, we have to look at a different intro, and that kind of stuff, and just, uh, you know, some, yeah, hey, you know, it's got to be good, and, uh, I want to make sure it's good before we jump to it, if I have I have many failings. One of them is jumping too quickly into stuff like that. In the past, I'd just throw it together and throw it up and be done with it. And I've learned patience, okay? So Contingency Tech, Could You Survive? These are two new shows on the horizon. Just so you know, Dave Jones, the NBC guy, has his own YouTube channel. And we are about to... We're about to give him his own podcast on the Prepper Broadcasting Network. Sort of collection of podcasts now. Sort of one place you can go to get all Dave and Dave only. We're doing the same thing for the Phoenix. Where you can go get the Phoenix and the Phoenix only. If you're into that sort of thing. Maybe on a Monday. I don't know. And we've also broken the podcast up into a bunch of smaller podcasts. That... are pretty awesome. They're not quite as cool as they're going to be in about two, three months, but it's a pretty cool little thing we got going on. So we've created PBN Medical. We've created PBN Tactical. We've created PBN Prepare, PBN Homestead, PBN Faith, PBN Politics, PBN News and Intel. And, you know, we're just doing the circle in the circle hole in the square in the square hole for those. That's all. You know, so you know how it goes, right? Sometimes you want to listen and you don't want to listen to news and politics and stuff. You just want to listen to like homesteading talk or maybe medical or maybe tactical stuff, right? And you can go to these new podcasts and listen there. I don't know. It's a way, you know, whatever. We've done it. It is what it is. For this, if you haven't noticed, for this show, I just want to catch up. I want to give you sort of all the PBN stuff that's coming, all the stuff that's going on. Today I published Let Your Heart Be Light in I don't know if it's actually published yet, but it's... Everything that needs to do barring approval from Amazon is done. And there's no reason they won't approve it because the e-book already exists. So Let Your Heart Be Light is incoming. Let Your Heart Be Light in paperback. It's very small. I mean, this book is designed for this day and age. This book is about 70 pages long. and it's not just a 70 page novella, it's a 70 page novella spread across three characters, okay, so it's three stories in 70 pages, all right, it is the TikTok short, or the TikTok, whatever they're called, the TikTok of Christmas stories, all right, if you can't stay focused for this story, then you just give up reading altogether, but that book will be published, and Uh, I may have a pre-order go up next week. I don't know. I've never done an Amazon pre-order before, but I think I can because, uh, usually I'm kind of pushing it on the, on the order. I'm usually pushing it, you know, like I'm done the book, but I had to edit it. And then I told you guys about it too soon. So then I'm like pushing it and like, Oh my God, it's coming out Friday. And I'm like, it ain't done. And it's Wednesday, that kind of thing. This book's been out for a year. I wrote it last year, polished it up the last year and, uh, put the ebook out last year. and got emails from you guys, I appreciate the feedback, man, I got a lot of emails from people about enjoying reading it, you know, like, it's a simple, straightforward story, kind of, uh, I don't know, I really love it, I, I really think I did a good job with this book, I read, whenever I read excerpts, like, I was looking through it and reading through it and, you know, uh, more, um, what's the word, design, if you will, right, formatting really is what I was doing, formatting the book, and I was just reading excerpts, you know, and for a writer, it's a scary thing to do, you know, when you open a book that you haven't read in a while, and you start reading, like, just take a paragraph and pick it apart, and you read a paragraph, and you're like, you know, you're waiting, you're waiting for that apostrophe that you forgot, that period you didn't, that capital word you didn't capitalize, or that sentence that read right when you publish it and now you read it and you're like, oh, I don't know, I don't like that one. I started reading through different excerpts of the book and I just, you know, I really like it. I don't know. I really do. It was born out of a... Let Your Heart Be Light was born out of an overall feeling that Christmas brings about in me. And it's also kind of my It's my gratitude piece to the lovers of Christmastime. That's what it is. It's very sort of romance and love-based, but it's also life-based. I mean, the jacket cover of the book, the back of the book, is basically life, love, marriage, kids, family, God, faith. I think that's what it is. I think that's the descriptor for the book, if you were to pick it up and look at the back of it. Because that's really what it is. You follow Ezekiel. I don't want to give you everybody's sort of job and everything. But you follow Ezekiel and he meets a woman. You follow Jonah and he's a father of two girls married. You follow Deborah and she has lost a lot in life. But has a lot in life also. She lost her husband. But has two great daughters. And you follow these characters through the holiday seasons. And their reflections are, well, Jonah's reflections are very intimate. They're very much his reflections on the holiday. Deborah's are the most intimate. Deborah's are really deep, you know, really deep reflections. And Zeke is, he's just falling in love. So, you know what I mean? It's a little, there's more dialogue in Zeke's, chapters than anybody else's because it's between two people deborah has deborah is a character who has i think she has no dialogue i don't think she ever says a word unless it's a flashback um and jonah he converses with his kids and his wife and stuff like that you follow them through the holiday season the ups and downs and everything it's yeah it's i love i like it i'm happy i'm very happy with it it's my my second christmas book next to the christmas hook And it'll be out, paperback, if you're into that kind of thing. I'm getting to the point, PBN family, where I have written a lot of books at the age of 40. You know what I mean? At the age of 40, I've written and published a lot of books. You know what I mean? You get to a point... When you start writing and you see people with all these books written under their name and you're like, wow. Who the hell writes that many books in a lifetime? And, you know, I have no idea. I mean, imagine I write 40 more years. Even 30 more years. What I've accomplished thus far in writing has only been accomplished for 10 years. It's 10 years. It's 10 years. 2016 well you know what that's not true because I did publish I think I published a couple before but some of them I don't even count Diary of a Young Cook I don't even count as a published book because you can't even find it anywhere um in the Valley I count as a great recipe book. What was the horror book called that's not published anywhere either? I need to get that published before it disappears. There's one copy. There's only one copy of this horror story I wrote when I was about 19. And I really need to polish it up and get it back out. Because there's only one book in existence. And if it disappears, it disappears. And it's kind of cool. It's kind of Salem witchcraft-y, kind of really, really eerie, creepy. Fun. It was a fun book. Uh, but anyway. Let your heart be light. We'll be out on the 13th of the month. Uh, next Friday. Get yourself a copy. Give a copy out. Anybody who loves Christmas will love this book. If you love Christmas, you love romance, you love family, you love good times and hard times and that kind of stuff in families. Um, You'll love this book. The Black Friday catalog is going to go out via mailing lists on Friday. On Friday, those of you who are on the newsletter will get the book first. Then Saturday, it will go out to everyone everywhere. And you want it. There's a lot of great Black Friday deals. There's a lot of great stuff in there. Let Your Heart Be Light will be in there for sale. Your Family Codex will be in there at an early bird special for everybody. It's, yeah, it's big. It's a big, big deal, that thing. A lot of great, I mean, awesome. Just awesome people in it this year. Not that there wasn't last year. Last year was a tremendous, every year is tremendous. So we talked about the shows. We talked about the new podcast sort of outline and categorization. uh, the Prepper Broadcasting Network main podcast will always be. You don't have to worry about that. We'll be firing up Red Beacon Media News again, um, probably in 2027. Assuming we're all alive. Assuming we're not lining the walls, the chained, uh, cold cement walls of the left-wings gulags by then. We will be posting that, um, That will be back. Red Beacon Media will be back bigger and better. We talked about Dave Jones' YouTube channel and Dave Jones' podcast, right? Dave Jones' YouTube channel is Prepping Up With The Joneses, okay? Prepping Up With The Joneses on YouTube. Go follow him. I'm trying to get his Stability Watch content moved over to the podcast as well so we can give him even more sort of exposure and... You know, link to his YouTube and all that kind of stuff. Get more podcast people going over there if they want to watch it in video format. Oh, you know another thing for those of you who listen on Spotify? We just started putting up video with some of our Spotify podcasts. This is a first for us, right? We used to be able to do this with YouTube. Well, you can get it that way with Rumble. But if you're on Spotify... It's the first time we're putting video up with some podcast. If I did it and I did it live or if Jay Ferg did it and did it live, then I can put the video up. OK. In fact, if Dave Jones does the audio podcast, we can put his videos up on our Spotify, too. Maybe I should talk to him about that because his videos are great. So Spotify video is up now. OK. What the heck else is going on? I feel like there was another show that I was just contemplating that I want to do in 2027. I don't know. Radio check. Don't forget about radio check. All right. Many of you have joined. I like everybody showing up and checking in every Sunday, 9 p.m. Eastern. Yes, if you were waiting for me last Sunday, I forgot. I was at the FedEx field. What? Watching the Eagles get mollywhopped by... The Redskins. It was a rough night. And I just totally slipped my mind. I don't know. I'm sorry. In my head, I was like, I got to get somebody to cover that. Mike from Skycom PTT and I were supposed to talk about a change to the format for that night in particular. And, you know, I guess we both got busy. He had some things going on this weekend. I had my... 18 year wedding anniversary this week today today we celebrated it uh we celebrated it with an absolutely uh i want to say ridiculous but i don't feel like it's it's good enough a word ridiculous is is okay but it's definitely not it's not strong enough of a word for what we got into What we got into was a, you know what I think is a good way to explain it? An irresponsible, an irresponsible level of Christmas decoration shopping. Yeah, that's about what we got into today for our anniversary. We drove all over the state of Virginia to a few different and very unique and interesting Christmas shows and shops. And had a ball. You know, it was fun. We still have fun together. It's a good sign. Right? Nowadays, a good sign. Is there somebody here staring at me? No. So, tomorrow night, 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Radio check. Bring your PacLink radio. I'm talking to a guy right now. You can get your PacLink with your Wi-Fi on it. And I'm talking to a guy right now. I can't remember the name of his product. But he makes a product that you stick your Starlink into and it'll power it up in an emergency when all the power's out. Pretty cool. Pretty cool little charging box. And it's kind of mobile. You know what I mean? It's decent. It's a cool little... There's so many... Guys, there's so many cool products out there. It's unreal. I mean, like, maybe the contingency tech... Yeah, I guess we could do products and tech. Really, there's that many. We need a show to capture it all. Unfortunately, I can't convince every, and it wouldn't make sense anyway, because there's only so much room for ads on the show. But unfortunately, I can't capture everyone as a sponsor. The overlanding world is really worth digging into also in terms of preparedness. like if you're, if you're thinking about off grid and you're thinking hard and you're going to off grid websites and stuff like that, and you're like, eh, I'm finding stuff, but just not, not as much stuff. Or I'm looking for something important. I found another great product called the day fridge. And the day fridge is just what it sounds like. It's a refrigerator for a day. It's what it is. It's not big or anything. It's pretty small. Um, But it's got enough battery in it that it can cool its little container for a full day. I don't know. It's cool. It's pretty cool. Tons of stuff like that out, man. There's tons. Tons. So, I guess it's worth mentioning. I mean, if we're doing the catch-up, we might as well do the catch-up on everything. The Emergency Preppers Manual. The EPM. My latest book. My second in the survival and prepping sort of collection that I've done with the publisher, Surf Bay, Thunder Bay Press. I worked with Quarto Publishing. We put this amazing book together, guys. I mean, this thing is, I'm so proud of this book. It's unreal. I mean, writing a book is cool. I've written many books and seen my, you know, words in print. Even some with illustrations, right? What these people at Quarto do with images and layout and everything. And they come to bat with an idea, man. They come to bat with some serious ideas. And this book is really, it really shines. What's beautiful about it is there's a lot of things in there that are pulled right from my house and how we operate. I mean directly from my house. One of the proudest moments I've got in writing that book really was seeing our fire starter, Bigfoot Fur, take a full page. You know what I mean? Because Bigfoot Fur was born for Melinda Lee. I haven't talked to Melinda Lee in a while. I don't know if anybody's heard from her. But Melinda Lee, a longtime fan of PBN. My boys were, they were young, man. Maybe like two and six or something. And she sent us this little care package. And one of the things in the care package was she sent us a bunch of shredded newspaper, a pack of old crayons, and some wax paper cups. And she sent instructions on how to make all kinds of cool stuff. But this is one of the things we did. And we sat there. I melted down the crayons. And then together we mixed the shredded newspaper into the melted wax and stuffed the wax cups with the crayon, you know, the wax paper mix um and then we set them on fire in the fireplace while we were starting fires we set we set a few on fire just to see how they did just regular and uh yeah they burned so long it was amazing now i don't have a paper shredder so we started doing the same thing at our house with dryer lint and I told my wife just throw all the dryer lint in this massive uh ziploc bag that I have okay and she does I mean to this day she does it and then I mix it with wax and stick it in wax paper cups and when we made that and we tested it the first time I was joking with my son and I was like what do you think this stuff looks like what do you think this is like what should we call it well you know it works really well we burn it for like 12 to 15 minutes we timed it You light one of these cups, it burns forever. And he goes, I think it looks like Bigfoot fur. And I was just blown. I was floored. You know what I mean? I was absolutely floored. And I was like, that's the name. That's it. That's the name. And for years, I always wondered, like, should we sell it? And I was like, that's kind of weird, right? It's not like a, just not a thing you sell. It's a skill. It's a project you teach people how to do. Like, who the hell wants to buy your dirty dryer lint off you? But to see that in print, man, to see like Bigfoot fur in print, really cool. Really cool full circle moment. Took every bit of 10 years to get there too, by the way. So that book, I think, I don't actually know when that book's coming out. I don't know. What I do know for sure is it's finished. It's formatted. It's beautiful. It's full color. It's five chapters, right? Five big old chapters. and then an appendix and the appendix is an emergency manual. Okay. That's why it's called the, uh, emergency preppers manual, right? Was that preppers emergency manual, the PEM, the MEP, the emergency? No, I can't remember. I can never remember the title of this book. It's been a long day. It will be out. I'll let you know when it's out. Um, Get everybody to buy it because it's the first book I've ever written up a contract with a publisher where I'll get royalties for books sold. And it ain't a few. We got to sell a lot. Which ain't a problem, I don't think. But anyway, so that book will be out 2027. It's awesome. Like I said, if you really need an emergency manual, and you do if you don't have one, It really makes everything easier. It really makes answering your family's questions easier. It just makes things a lot easier. You know what I mean? It really does. So if you need that, then it's a great place to start. Jordan has a great one, too. The Phoenix, she makes a great emergency manual. It's really cool. And, you know, if you need an emergency plan, the Be Prepared Solutions guys, I mean, they are tremendous. Their plan is amazing. I'm going to show you it. I'm going to print the plan out. print i'm going to print my be prepared solutions plan out and put it with my own documentation that i already have just so i could show you guys what's what okay uh what else i hope this is a good break from from everything i hope i'm just going over everything thinking about shows thinking about holiday stuff I may make a new Christmas sweater this year. I'm not sure. Well, here's the issue. Let's talk about merch, okay? I... What is I going on there for? I wanted to show someone something on the merch. It was one of my kids, I think. I wanted to show someone our merch page because there was something on it. Oh, you know what it was? It was the Pucker Factor. Yeah, it was the Pucker Factor stickers. dave jones for a little while kept talking about pucker factor and i was laughing so hard that i put it on the side of a bomb and we turned it into a sticker uh and i was talking to a guy on the phone i can't remember who it was it might have been i don't know but anyway um i said man i gotta i gotta send you this you're gonna love oh you know it was to be prepared solutions guys yeah it was brian and then i opened up my my merch store To find that the whole company went out of business. Teespring is out of business. It blew my mind. It blew my mind. What that means. Which is really really sucks. But I probably have them all anyway. But what that means is. All the merch is gone. All the Christmas sweaters I've made in the past. All of it's gone. Every shirt. Come Within Chaos. The Gulag is digital. I mean all of it. It's all gone. Unless I can recover the graphics. So now we need a new merch store. And I'm going to look and see. I'm going to look and kind of see like, you know, what can we get? What can we really get? Who's doing cool stuff out there? There was a time when you would go to a print on demand and they put your logo on everything. Everything. T-shirts, throw pillows, blankets, flags, girls underwear. I mean, it didn't matter. Leggings, whatever. Everything. Cups, phone cases, rulers, calculators, didn't matter. Now it's, I don't know. I got a hat from Survival Scripts, our great sponsor, Survival Scripts. I haven't had a hat like that in a while. I mean, really. I haven't had one of those hats. You know what I'm talking about if you wear hats. But there's a hat that you put on and it feels as good as it looks. Or maybe it looks as good as it feels. And it's just like, okay, baby, like this. I used to have a hat. I've had two hats like this in my life that I can remember off top. One was my lucky fishing hat. Right? That's exactly what it said on it. I bought it from Walmart. It was awesome. It had a big bass on the front of it. And then it had sort of like a scroll-ish kind of thing on it that was three-dimensional and popped out of the hat and written on it or sewn into it. It said, Lucky Fishing Hat. And I loved it. It was the best. And I wore it everywhere. I remember I took my friend Wally fishing and I said, let me grab my Lucky Fishing Hat. And I grabbed this hat out of there and it said Lucky Fishing Hat on it. And he was, I mean, he almost passed out with laughter. It was, I guess... I guess he hadn't seen me in a while, so he didn't know the hat. And just the fact that, you know, you get the joke, right? And the other one, there was this great company, man, called Kickback Shack. Oh, my God. Kickback Shack was my company, dude. I just loved them. They were so great. They made these unbelievable hats. I had this orange, this gray hat. With an orange campfire on it. And that was it. That was the whole hat. It was so simple, beautiful, fit, great, wonderful. They went out of business. I don't know how a company like them guys goes out of business. Their stuff was so cool. Their whole Instagram was just people with their trophies. I would just scroll through. It was the best. That's all it was. It was just guys with big small mouth. Guys catching sharks. Guys with swordfish. Guys with deer, big bucks, elk, ducks. You know what I mean? It was the best. Kickback Shack was phenomenal. Oh, you know what made really good hats too? 3V Gear. 3V Gear sent me some hats back in 2018. And those were tremendous too. But this survived. So anyway, I'd love to have a hat like that. I'd love to have a good PBN hat that I put on and I feel like, man, this is... This is a nice PBN hat right here. You know what I mean? So, you know, we'll be putting together a new merch. I don't think it'll show up in, it probably won't show up in the Black Friday catalog. So, if it does, it'll be very limited. It'll be very, very limited. You know, because it's just, it's one of those things. PBN lifers, PBN lifetime members, listen up. This is, I can't believe I have this many updates. You don't understand like how bad I can get knocked off track. If we get a Pentagon announces, uh, 90 days food, water off grid. And then we get a midterm after that. Like I got this other rail car that's just going a million miles an hour in my head. And when the news interrupts it, it just sets me back big time, man. And I can't, I can't convey it all right. Um, Now I forget what I was about to tell you. Merch store. Oh, lifetime members. Lifetime members. I am going to be getting the podcast. I don't see a lot of stats over there. Okay, so if you're a lifetime member, shoot me an email. IntrepidCommander at Proton.me If you're a lifetime member, IntrepidCommander at Proton.me Because I don't see a lot of movement over on the Lifetime podcast, but it is a huge benefit. i haven't kept it up to date really well but i'm getting it back to uh you know i need to spend like at least an hour and a half almost two hours on podcasts in terms of putting all the shows up for the day putting all the shows that went up for the day into the lifetime podcast and then scattering the shows out through the uh Through the new categories and promoting them through different channels. Whatever. I'm a podcaster. It's part of the job. But that is a huge benefit, guys. The Lifetime Podcast is an ad-free podcast that is just for you. It's not part of being a supporter. You don't have to be a $ 5 supporter and listen over at Spreaker. It has nothing to do with that. It legitimately is for lifers. You know what I mean? Also, I guess, you know, if you really hate the ads, send me an email at intrepidcommanderatproton.me also. Maybe we can discuss a flat sort of fee to get you out of the ads if you really hate them. I mean, I'm not a huge fan of the ads. And I'll tell you, I'll give you the same sort of deal, right? I'm not a huge fan of the ads, but at the same time, at the same time, they really do They really do pay, guys. You know what I mean? And with getting rid of the membership over at pbnfamily.com, we lost some money in that. So the supporter club's fine. It's $ 5 a month if you want to join the supporter club. If I get 1,000 supporters over there, I won't do the ads. But until then, it is what it is. But I'm picking up my son, and he's calling. He's looking for Dad in the parking lot. We got all kinds of good stuff coming on the other side of the prepping podcast world, all right? Stay tuned and get ready for the holidays with PBN. Talk to you soon.
