[00:00:17] [SPEAKER_00]: The First Tyranny Of Our Faith's Constitution

[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_00]: We are the Prepper Broadcasting Network

[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Hello everyone out there on Internet Radio Land. This is Dave Jones, the NBC Guy

[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Coming to you on Friday, Friday, Friday

[00:00:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I had a whole week of back-to-school stuff for teachers

[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And I gotta tell you, I'm pretty excited about this school year

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of changes, a lot of new stuff

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_01]: New curriculum, which means I gotta start from scratch all over again

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So it'll be my second first year

[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_01]: But the reason I wanted to do this daily audio cache

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Is to let you know about September's Preparedness Month Tip Of The Day program

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_01]: So the intrepid commander, we came up, he did the daily audio cache

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I listen every day, whether, you know

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I listen less during the school year, but he was saying

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_01]: What can we do for National Preparedness Month?

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And I said, how about a tip a day every day for 30 days

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And this is going to be a very short couple minutes tip of the day

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully the intrepid commander will come up with some short music clip

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Or intro for the tip of the day

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_01]: And oh my gosh, I could just think of so many, so many right now

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Just off the top of my head

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_01]: And for new preppers, this may be the first time you hear it

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_01]: For old preppers, you may want to say

[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, did I do that? Do we have that? Is that in our bag of tricks?

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_01]: You know

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'll give you a tip right now

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you a tip, no extra charge

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_01]: You get a tip right now from the NBC guy

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody needs to have a multi-tool

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_01]: A multi-tool

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And they need to carry it with them all the time

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, a lot of times people say, what kind of multi-tool?

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's a couple different kinds

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Many different kinds

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I prefer, you know, I carried a Leatherman for years and years

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Before Gerber came out with one

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I carried a Gerber for years and years

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Because it was one handed operation

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And it was superior to the Leatherman

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Now, the Leatherman changed over the years

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And they got different versions and stuff like that

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I can tell you some of the tools I use a lot

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I remember when the Leatherman first came out

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_01]: When the first multi-tool came out

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I read an article and it said

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Let me tighten your nuts

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Which immediately caught my attention

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_01]: So, once I was in, I was all in

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Up until that point, I carried a Buck Knife

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is way back

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_01]: This is like 1970s back

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_01]: If you remember the Buck Knife with the brass and the wood

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, brass and wood handle

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I went to the Buck Knife that was all synthetic handle

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And I broke the tip on that

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Long story on that

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, the Buck Knife was the go-to thing

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_01]: And then when the multi-tool came out

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Which, you know, the first one was the Leatherman

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_01]: With a leather case

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Which eventually wore out, rubbed, wore out

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you this

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_01]: There are some tools that I use

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And some tools that I never use

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I have never used the saw on any multi-tool

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you have a multi-tool with a saw

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Just know, I mean I know what it's for

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's for notching and for cutting small

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, notches and things

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I understand that

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_01]: But I have never used the saw

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_01]: A multi-tool with an awl

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Awl is like a thing that makes holes

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_01]: That is always used

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Always used

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_01]: There's so many times when you want to just make a hole in something

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And to have that awl

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_01]: You just pull it out, make a hole, you're done

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And of course the cutters, the wrench

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_01]: The needle nose pliers

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I've used that for a bunch of different things

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Scissors

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I do find if you have a good multi-tool with scissors

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_01]: They do come in handy because scissors

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Man, you just can't duplicate scissors

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you can have many different things that cut things

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_01]: But scissors and I've used those

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you have one with scissors and an awl

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And a can opener

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Of course the Phillips screwdriver

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_01]: The straight screw

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh oh

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Nope, that's Alex

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to ghost him

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Can opener

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Bottle opener

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_01]: You know just because they say they do all these things

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't mean they do all these things well

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_01]: If you're using a multi-tool

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_01]: To open up a 3 inch Phillips screw

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Man, it's got to be an emergency

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Get a screwdriver

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_01]: That's just the way it is

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Now this is longer than a normal tip

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Because this is a daily audio cache

[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_01]: But a tip is going to be bing bing bing

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Just like that

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_01]: A couple minutes

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Less than five minutes

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_01]: To include the intro

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, there's going to be very little you have to listen to

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to throw it out there

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And your brain got to do the rest

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it will be an actual thing

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Like this multi-tool

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it will be a concept

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_01]: So

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what the 30 days of prepper tips

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_01]: In the preparedness month

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Is going to be about

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Bing bing bing

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_01]: So if the intrepid commander wanted to string them all together

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_01]: And they were three minutes each

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And there were 30 of them

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_01]: That's 90 minutes of vital prepper tips

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's only if

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Because the intrepid commander threw down a gauntlet today

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_01]: He said I'll have some

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And he'll have some

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought we were going to do 30 together

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_01]: But if I got to do 30 by myself

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay

[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And if he does 30 by himself

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_01]: That is 60

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_01]: 60 tips

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And the idea is to do one a day

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Commit to do one a day

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_01]: If we're going to commit to do one a day

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Commit to listening to one a day

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't wait until the end of the week

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean unless you have to

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_01]: And then listen to all the tips

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Commit

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Get your mindset into preparedness

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, get it in there

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Get it ready

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Because you know what

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh man

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_01]: We don't got much time

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Not much time

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not saying that to scare anybody

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_01]: This is not fear porn

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_01]: People like

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_01]: The world's coming to an end

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_01]: No

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_01]: No

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Things

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Things are going to get crazier

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know some of the

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Some of the things that happened during the Obama administration

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought to myself

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_01]: How can it get any worse

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And it has

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_01]: What's that

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_01]: That's my radio going off there

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay PBN Family

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_01]: So that is the concept behind

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_01]: National Preparedness Month tips

[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_01]: And there you go

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_01]: That's my idea on multi tools

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody needs to have a multi tool

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to have to go somewhere

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Look for a pair of pliers or a wire cutter or something like that

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_01]: You want to have it on your hip

[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I carry a multi tool every day all the day

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Whether I'm here at home in the homestead

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Or whether I'm away

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_01]: And it just comes in so handy

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Every day

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_01]: So

[00:10:37] Eliminate

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_01]: That problem

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_01]: By having a nice multi tool

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_01]: You know

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_01]: A good one

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Stainless steel

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_01]: You know I got some of those Ozark trails

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_01]: They were on clearance at Walmart

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Like 11 bucks

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_01]: They're pretty darn good

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_01]: And

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean I wouldn't

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't go into combat with one

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean unless I had to

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_01]: But

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I gave them away as gifts

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_01]: They make a great gift

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_01]: If you want to introduce someone

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Into the preparedness realm

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And they don't know

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_01]: You know they're like dipping their toe in it

[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And they don't know

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Give them a multi tool as a gift and say

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I use this almost on a daily basis

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And it is so handy

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_01]: There you go

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_01]: That's two tips in one

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_01]: First the tip of the multi tool

[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_01]: And the second tip is how to get people into prepping

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_01]: There you go

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Man two tips in one

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay PBN Family

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_01]: That's about all I have

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Stay tuned

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Stay tuned

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_01]: To PBN

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I will be on this weekend

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_01]: We got big plans

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Big plans here at the Jones Homestead

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Butchering some chickens

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Going to the Renaissance Fair

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Going to a swimming pool

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a movie

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And in between time

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Harvesting stuff from the garden

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Because everything's coming in right now

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh we got cucumbers

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_01]: The size of footballs

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And I said to Maria

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_01]: What are you saving those for?

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And she said

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Well seeds

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Seeds

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_01]: There's third tip

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Third tip

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Man

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_01]: If you have organic heirloom plants

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_01]: You want to let one or two of your

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever it is like cucumbers

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Get as big as you want

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_01]: As big as it can be

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Because you want to cut it open

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Harvest the seeds for next year

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And I mean there's

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_01]: In one cucumber there's

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Like a jillion seeds

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Cucumbers

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Squash

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And anything

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Anything everything

[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Pumpkins

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_01]: We have all of that

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And she purposely

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_01]: What is it? Okra?

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_01]: These okra things must be

[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Eight to ten inches long

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_01]: If you've ever seen okra

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't let it get that long

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_01]: It gets stringy

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not good to eat

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_01]: But

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_01]: You want to

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Let the seeds mature

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_01]: To be able to dry them out

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_01]: For the next year's planting

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And with the price of seeds going

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Man

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Three tips

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Three tips right off the top of my head

[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Gosh

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_01]: PBN family

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Where do you get

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_01]: This kind of prepper knowledge

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_01]: On a daily basis?

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Nowhere else

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_01]: So get a friend involved

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Give them a multi-tool as a gift

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Tell them I use this on a daily basis

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_01]: If you put this on your hip

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_01]: You will use it

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_01]: If you throw it in a box

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_01]: You will never use it

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_01]: You have to have it on your belt

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_01]: For it to be effective

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And when you need to cut something

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Wire

[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_01]: You know boxes

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Tape

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_01]: You'll have it

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_01]: There you go PBN

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_01]: That's the concept behind

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_01]: 30 days of tips

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Take care

[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And prep on
