Ladies and gentlemen, can you believe it? Here we are, the ninth already. The ninth. September, National Preparedness Month. Now, the guests we have on today, we started this whole crazy thing with. This whole crazy 30-day live thing. We started with the gentleman from Be Prepared Solutions. We're nine days in now. And my question to you is, have you tried out their product? Have you taken the basic steps to be more prepared? Have you given the three-day free trial a shot where you can see what they have to offer? We're going to dig into their plan builder today, and I'm going to show you exactly how that works on my end. And it's, well, it's that same thing that I always tell you guys. I know that you can make an emergency plan, just like I know that you can build and bury a survival cache. The big question I have for you is, will you do it? We're going to look at a means of doing it today with the folks from Be Prepared Solutions. It presents a very interesting angle and a very personalized one at that. So bringing back Brian and Teron from Be Prepared Solutions. Gentlemen, standing before old glory. Hi, it's Brian. Good morning. We're always good. Good morning from southern New Jersey. You can see the flag. What you can't see is the collection of Nerf guns and Legos because we're in my son's room. Oh, man. I wouldn't mind seeing a collection of Nerf guns and Legos. The sun came out of nowhere on me here. I don't know what happened. I'm whited out, but we'll have to live with that. So the title for today's show, gentlemen, is Stop Procrastinating. Build a Personalized Plan with Be Prepared Solutions. I like it. Even as prepared as you guys are, I'm sure you either know people or know a time in your life where that procrastination sort of hit you on the preparedness side. And then all of a sudden you're like, I got to get out of this muck and get some things done. And when it comes to building out of a plan, I mean, your platform does it about as personalized and quickly and effectively as possible. Thank you. Thank you. That was kind of the intention, right? Is So connecting the heart and the why is we both had some plans and the struggle we had was connecting with our family and friends and how to move them. So it's one of the reasons we built what we built and then we kept going. And for me, it's self-serving because I'm a selective procrastinator. So I procrastinate on home chores or school. I'm now going to school. So, uh, being prepared was one of those things, uh, that, um, I, I needed something a little more structured. Yeah. Yeah, no doubt. So in the evening of last night, I spent some time, uh, going through the entire plan builder. I went, I filled out, I say all the information. It was surprisingly not as much information as I thought it was going to be to, to, to get the plan built. Um, checked out the smaller version of the plan then i got into the deep water of the larger plan and was really kind of blown away by that i'll tell you what the every family in america could use those tear sheets those tear sheets are phenomenal they are uh they're they're the answer to what a lot of people that i talk to about preparedness are worried about right now you know how do i convey the and the tear you guys want to explain the tear. So the operating principles is prepare, provide, and protect. And even if you, as you said, James, is that if you haven't procrastinated and you did something, when it comes down to it is, and we use another describer, who does what when? Yeah. And if you've simplified that, right, it's just you have a disaster, you want to continue, who does what when? And the plan allows you to It personalizes it so that way you know who in your family or what you should do at what phase at what time. Because if you don't have that, panic could sit in or indecision. And I'm sure that in the moment, the plan may not be perfect because a variable entered. But if you have a plan to start with, you can continue from there. Yeah, no doubt about it. Those were a really pleasant surprise. I saw those and I was like, oh. James, I'm curious. Did you have like an aha moment as you're going through? There's a lot of pages and materials. I really like, I don't know if I had any aha moments in terms of our preparedness overall. I think the biggest thing for me was having something that's more easy to share with everybody. Like we have plenty of plans and binders and sort of things that aren't in that plan, but are important. But this is a more holistic sort of, you know, it's hard to sit a kid down. It's hard to even sit a wife down early and explain like, here's my preparedness philosophy, or here is the framework that we can operate it in that will make this easy, you know? And, you know, my wife, she's a great, I guess she's sort of a prepping partner in all of this. So, you know, you're taking someone who's doing things that are really good and sitting them down and trying to explain it out of your own head. And that's kind of a pain. But your plan makes it much more digestible. That's a great point because every one of us is in a different place in that journey for emergency preparedness and readiness. And your spouse might be earlier in the journey and things might change. even if you have not been using a structured tool like Be Prepared, all of those lists that you've created, to your point, could go over someone's head and they look and say, why do we need all of this? And when you have one place where you have, what is the reason this looks like this for my family? And what are the things that I have to have in place? And how do I learn more? All as kind of a centralized resource, it really helps explain to someone what's the thinking behind it? I think that's your point. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, I definitely like Brian's inclusions throughout the plan, too. I didn't think that that was going to be in there. And I also, when I read the first one, I was like, I hope these all relate. And they do. They're well-placed throughout the plan. Being that it's so personalized. Yeah. I think we talked about it. Brian has written a comprehensive book. It's essentially a master thesis on emergency readiness. And if you've noticed, it's not just peppered as quotes from the book, but his entire thinking and philosophy, we're using, obviously, we're using AI to generate these reports. And the AI has access to his entire book so that when you provide information about your scenarios and your situation, it recasts it for you. So it's using the book as an input and providing your customized report as an output. So that's why it was so natural in there. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. That's impressive. And we ran this for literally more than a year, right? Yeah. After it ingested everything that I could think of, we ran scenarios and it missed something, something small. So we ran this over and over until our personal proprietary AI was trained. And as I mentioned to you before, in one of our conversations, it includes whether it's from the last Babylon or one second after or Neil Strauss's book or, and it goes on and on. So I've ingested all of the, I'll call it the seminal works. So, and it's our personal experience. So it's not theory. As much as possible, everything in there is applied, whether we own the device or we've literally turned the electric off, turned the water off and said, can we do it? So it's that combination. And, James, as you experienced, so it taps into that information, and then you provide it your specific family structure and your location, and that's what I'm playing. Yeah, let's do it. Let's bring it up. My question, though, is this. We may want to bring two things up. We may want to bring the on-website plan up and then maybe even look at that shorter PDF. Sure. Because the PDF is, you know, that's what you're going to print out. Yeah. Well, I'm going to print out the big PDF. I'm going to put that guy in the house. To your point, what you're sharing is that's what we thought of is how can we make it as simple as possible and as deep as possible so that way the plan will meet most people in most places. So whether you want to get ready for you're concerned three days of a hurricane or you're concerned that there was something horrific that happened and the power is not coming back on for a year. And it doesn't have to be a nuclear war. It could be Puerto Rico, right? Puerto Rico, there's parts of Puerto Rico that after the huge storm, they didn't have power for a year. So water contaminated, et cetera. So that, hence to your point, there's a short and a long version. That way you can pick, depending upon, as Teron said, is where you're at in your journey and who you are. By the way, many doors, same room is as Brian, a quote as I've ever heard. I know you wrote that, right? That had to come from you. Yeah. I like that a lot. That's a great one, man. But it's, I mean, it fits. It really does. It fits perfectly. So one of the cool things I liked was your, your prioritization in the, what is this? The foundational text of the plans. Where you guys kind of build out this based on my information, based on the emergencies that I'm worried about. You get to choose all this when you're building your plan. Who's in your family? Dogs, the whole nine yards. And then what are the things that you want to prepare for better? And in the spitting out of that plan, you wind up with this priority list of things to focus on. I really like that. And if you look at. That foundation, you scroll to the bottom where you have the matrix. So what we did here, this has the pillars, right? Water, energy, et cetera. How would you store it? How would you generate it? And each one of these is clickable. If you click into one of the cells, it'll give you more. Details, right? Oh, right, right, right. Like this guy here. Yeah. Yes. So it gives you an example of more ways to generate or more ways to store. On the right side, you have skills. That gets interesting because this is where we're kind of like creating a spider. So if you click on any one of those cells, you'll see relevant articles. As a member, you have access to a ton of articles. So for specific skills around water or whatever you choose, it'll give you relevant articles you can read. And there are several ways that we are inserting this knowledge base. One is here in specific skills. A second one, when you go later, if you walk through your plan with the family members of PBN, it has a core list of articles that you should be reading. And then the third way is we can later show how you can access the master library of articles with hundreds of articles on every topic you can possibly want. So those are three ways, within the skills as a part of the report and the master library. Yeah, it's cool, man. The phased approach is great because I didn't even really look at it this way. I mean, I looked at it this way, but I never seen it down on paper, you know? in terms of being in prep time, the golden timeframe, the event underway, and you really did a good job with those. And I don't think they probably don't exist in everyone's head the same way. I agree. I agree. It's, it's, it is, um, it I'll call it, it's a combination of thinking. And then, uh, we'll, we'll brand it that that is ours. Um, right today is the calm, uh, before anything happens. So that's stage zero. Stage one, as you mentioned, as you know, the event is on its way. Let's say it's a hurricane. And then once the event happens, what you should do in the first three days and then afterwards. So it's broken down into what changes, what's materially changing and what's the catalyst for each of those. And that way, when and if that emergency is happening, it allows the user to track James, it would allow you to track you and your wife, your family. Hey, this is what we can do this weekend. Now that it's happened and the hurricanes hit, this is what we should be thinking about for the first three days. And we hope it doesn't go longer than three days. But each of those, because there are intensity of emotions, resources, and there's things escalate over time. Hence, that's why we broke it out as such. Yeah, it's probably worth mentioning to everybody. When I put the plan together, I did the plan first and forgot to do. The Be Aware. For the new address. So it's easier, guys, when you go in and set this up to do your Be Aware dashboard, which you've seen here. If you haven't seen it, go back to the first episode with Be Prepared Solutions. You'll see that in action. Or you can watch the show. that I posted, was that last night? Okay, and you'll see a Be Aware segment in there. Set that up first, which it's awesome. And then that'll work with your plan. They integrate. Maybe I'll explain why it's not just a convenience. It's also the output. So if you start with Be Aware and create a report, that report is, that's your situational awareness report. It's 10 years of history. What's happened in your address? Hurricanes, storms, damage, pollutants. Who are the biggest industrial companies that are polluting your area? A lot of baseline information. But if you create a be ready report, essentially your personalized plan, it will suck that in and use that as part of the input. Plus Brian's book, plus a lot of other things. like our knowledge base and our articles to create your report so you get a different flavor for instance it'll be aware that you have you're susceptible to um tornadoes and now i can show that on the plan here yeah yeah yeah so some of some of the steps yep. So this right here is probably one of the most valuable things because you might think it's something else i can't highlight some reason it wants to move But down here in the bottom left, guys, it says most likely event for this address, right? So this is not like a guess. Everything that Taran just talked about, that's how this is generated. What's the worst thing that could happen most likely based on your address? And from what I've seen since I've been living here, yes, that's right. It's right on the money. Yeah. All right, let's move on to the preparation check. Is there a dog in the background? Yeah, we have two dogs that are very excited. You're using the address you called cabin? Yeah. All right. So this is the preparation phase, folks. There's a bunch of recommendations in here. And again, the plan can be built without your address. But if you put the address in and you get that history and you get a bunch of things to go along with it. So it's definitely worth plugging that information in. A lot of people, right? The reason for the preparation is people ask us when we're trying to work with literally our brother-in-laws and our immediate families, where do I start? Well, that's what this is, right? The preparation stage zero. This is where you start. This is what you do first, right? Because people say I'm overwhelmed. What should I do? So that's what you do. And if you're... If you're someone who's really early on their journey and you haven't even started to think about emergency readiness, This phase zero is the answer to, okay, I have situational awareness. I see the storms coming. I can see the avalanche of power disruptions. What do I do about it? The answer that people naturally come to is you don't wait until it's already here. You have a plan and you start with phase zero. This is your starting point. One of the most valuable things, it's probably the most valuable thing in your phase zero plan is the drill section. Those drills will make the biggest difference in terms of who does what when, right? Yep. Thank you. That's that whole thing. Exactly. And if you do those, it takes fear out. The whole idea is fear is, as said in the Will Smith movie, right? It's a manifestation in the mind of things that haven't happened yet. Danger is real, right? Danger is real. So now let's face the danger. Let's do the drills. And then you have knowledge and you have understanding. So that way, God forbid, something does happen. The first time you're thinking about it and ready and your family, it's not then. So the drills walk you through. And it just brings a sense of self-reliance and confidence, right? The idea is no fear. Let's get you to calm. Yeah. I mean, that's where we need to all be operating from. That's the whole point of all this prepping stuff, you know? Yeah. We also have... So these drills that you're looking at, these were generated for. you in your report. We also have standardized drills that you can access later. You can just show the menu option. We don't have to go into it, so you can continue to look at this. But if you show the menu, under My Plans in Be Ready, there's Drill. That is a library of drills, and when... When you go there, it will highlight one or two drills that are specific to your family. And if you execute them using that menu option, it also tracks them so you can say who has proficiency in what and track it. So it's part of. That overall tracking, where are you and your family and progressing. Yeah, and that's a great point. The four drills that you see here, guys, for those of you listening on the podcast, refrigerator, downdrill, water rotation, CBRN gear fit check and emergency comms test. These are not drills that were just peppered in as a good idea, right? That the whole point of what Be Prepared Solutions does is to take your concerns that you fill out when you build your plans and they pull the drills. Exactly. Thank you. It's so important. You're not wasting time on things just because some guy on the internet said, you need to run up. You need to run a break-in drill at night or something. I mean, you probably should. By the way, I don't know if we have a lot of nuggets hidden. I don't know if you noticed, but in every one of these phases where you have lists like at the top of your phase zero, prepare, protect, provide, those are clickable. And when you click, it strikes it off. When you come back to here next week, you'll see which things you feel that you've done. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, that's cool. It's a little checklist on top of everything. We've incorporated what can loosely be called a learning management system. So as you learn and click, and as you read articles, the articles that correlate to your plan, not just any articles, James, as you said, whether it's the drill or the article, all of those are... are selected based upon your location, your family, your concerns. They're not the same articles for everybody. They're generated, tailored to your family. The articles aren't generated because we were very careful. We don't just let AI write articles. There's a curation and editorial process that you've seen. Um, it's the selection from our library is. Specific to your, to your report. Yeah. Yeah. So it does. Yeah. It's now every article we did, uh, we had, we created, they are all proprietary. You won't find them anywhere else and all the infographics and training. So those are curated. We've built them and they're in our repository. We're continually adding to them. So they're selected, and the articles you see, James, would be different than the articles that Jane Doe may see. If you scroll to the end of that section you're looking at, you have three articles, for instance. Yeah. If you click on the heading of one of them, it'll open the article in a new window. I don't know if that window is shared. It won't be able to see it. Okay. So later we can show what these articles look like in your window. And it also gives you a selection of further reading on the right. Yeah. And I know you shared it's procrastination we kicked off. So I'll link back to that. The whole idea is that the plan is made, it's dynamic, it's living with you. So if your listener starts it tonight and then has time later Sunday afternoon and next Wednesday morning or It lives with you. And you don't have to go anywhere else. It'll take your plan, your reading, your skills. It allows you, it's like a checklist, kind of on steroids. No doubt. Yeah, and it's also, I think it serves two kinds of people also, guys. And I want you to think about this. If you don't have a plan, you can have a plan. You know what I mean? Just by entering information, a little bit about your skills and preparations. Then you have a plan. If you read over the plan and you realize, this is not how I want to do this. It's not being a leader. Yeah. You have a base to build on, finally. As opposed to a made-up threat assessment in your head that might be faulty or whatever the situation is. It's invaluable. So I just wanted to dig deeper into give people a look at this. Some of the checkups. Yep. So what we've some folks may have heard before is the first three days. Right. Is that we're three days or nine meals between us and anarchy. So if something happens, most folks have resources and, you know, for three days. After three days, if the water is contaminated and there's no power, let's look at what started happening in Gary, Indiana just recently. Right. So after three days, things change and people change because they're under pressure. So days four to seven are to try to recognize that and for you to be cognizant of if you're prepared, those around you may not be. And what their needs and what that could potentially be as a threat to you. And then how you need to reassess, is this showing signs that it's going to wrap up and so at the end of the week you're going to be good? Or does this have signs that this could potentially slide into a month? And that's what you need to reassess and think about. And that's days four through seven. And I can think of two scenarios that happened in the last few years that exemplify the two extremes of what you just described. So we had a five-day power outage in my neighborhood. And day four or five was when the neighbors were like, our next door neighbor said, you know, I have a generator. Do you want to use ours? That was the nice neighbor scenario. On the flip side, during COVID-19, On day six, we started hearing about break-ins from the town next door. Yeah, and fights at the grocery store and other things. We don't know which way it'll go, right? We never really know. Yeah, that's the part. So I got Rebuilding and Recovery up. I think this is another cool addition there. Again, all this stuff is built when you put your information in, but on top of that, it's built to your information. So it's huge. Thank you. Thank you. I'll call it the phase five. I hope that we never see that in reality, but if we do and people are trying to really look at the farthest and most extreme scenario, You only have so much storage space and you're going to run out sooner or later of what you have. So if you can't generate new, new power, new water, new food, and then be able to raise your standards back up because you took a blow, right? If you lose that infrastructure, you've taken a blow. And we don't want to live like a caveman and suffer. So phase five and thinking about it is What do you do to create new? New energy, new water, new food, and to return to some comfort. And if you don't think about it ahead of time and you've planned for those resources, it may be overwhelming. But again, we're trying to give you the framework to be able to do that. So I know we're coming up on time, James. I think the.... Back end the end caps for this is uh what do you do about it so there's the articles and libraries you can read endlessly as many as you want but it's also kind of maybe this is a topic for another day is the kits and selecting the right kit for your scenario and how we go about letting you build the kit or select the items and then order them from amazon where we're not in intermediary we make a small cut with an affiliate fee and we're very above board about it but um it's these these kits are uh the product of careful curation that um we've done to select the items make sure they work with each other but other than that you know it's it's for you to to pick and buy. Yeah i think we should let me play with the kits i'd like to follow the kit thing all the way through to the checkout card um yeah But to be honest, I'm not exactly sure what shows up on the screen when I do that. So let me do that process and then we'll visit the kit thing on another show. Because, again, guys, like I don't want to beat a dead horse, but I just want you to understand every aspect of this thing is tailored to you and your family. When you see these kits that are billed out. They're not built out because it's Brian's favorite bug out bag list. It's built out because it's your family and what you have and maybe the ailments you have to deal with and all those things. This is the core of what you guys do better than anybody. Thank you. Thank you so much. And again, I want to emphasize that we're not creating a kit on the fly using AI. We have a collection of very carefully curated kits It's the selection of the kit that fits your family needs. And we've built a lot of intelligence in the kit. So the kits know how to adjust themselves with the rules that we gave them. For instance, include the flashlight. But if there are three or more people, include the second flashlight, things like that. But which flashlights on Amazon works really well, has high lumens, has long battery, etc. Those are the things that we carefully thought about and we constantly refresh them. And I'm sure per, and this is the other important part, like if flooding and hurricane are part of your concerns like they are for mine, then the preps in those kits are going to be tailored to that. Exactly, exactly. So it's tailored to your scenario. The kits are also tailored to your duration. So if you wanted to prepare for a hurricane for one week and one person, the kit would be different if it was a hurricane for one month and five people. And it's not just five times the amount of food. Millennium bars times five. Exactly. Food is the easiest because that scales. But as Teron was sharing earlier, depending upon the item, not only do you have to scale it, but new items come in. Of course. So items that you'll need at a month, you won't need for three days. Right. So the complexity increases with each duration. One month is more complex. Maybe when we. Do the deep dive, we can show the audience what it looks like on the backside, on our end, how we do the careful planning. That would be kind of a cool little piece. Yeah. That would be, yeah, we could, I mean, the truth is, guys, we could do 30 days on the prepared solutions. I mean, there's just that much information. There's that much stuff going on in the background. I think one of the big things to remind the audience is there's a lot of companies, and I talked about this before I met these guys, there's a lot of companies out there doing tech stuff with preparedness. This is a different animal entirely. Most importantly are the guys who built it. You know what I mean? I don't even know half the guys who built other tech products that i've showed you because i haven't even uh like met them via camera or anything like that some of my i just mentioned like passing on the air i've met brian i've seen his whole ethos i know the quran i know what he's going through to get prepared like these guys are the real deal and You have to understand, everything emanates from them. You hear AI and you think things are being pre-made. Everything emanates from the core of Brian and Teran, which is two guys who are well-prepared for every event that we're going to talk about on this program. Thank you. Mike, that's good for you guys because it's... I don't know if it's lost on the audience, what I'm trying to say, because I don't know how built in and how devoted they are to this sort of tech stuff that's coming out and prepping right now, but it's just a big difference. Be prepared is a big difference between anything else that I've seen, and I've seen a lot of stuff. So take that with you, guys. Thank you. Appreciate it. Appreciate it. So I guess probably in essence of time, we've got to wrap up this show. What do you think, guys? Yeah. Yeah. I think that we There's a lot to uncover. I mean, we've hidden a lot of gems every corner of this. For another day. Yeah, I think this just has to be a reoccurring thing until we show off everything. You know what I mean? There's just so much to show. Well, and I think something else that we even thought of is why we're doing it is we may have others, right, is our perspective is We may even ask others, some of the users to come in and share what they found, right? James, hearing what you found is really appreciated, knowing the why we did it, but then hearing from other people in the world, in the community, it said, hey, they found, because there's, as I said, and I'll close with this, whether you're trying to prepare for three days for the hurricane, or you believe that the grid's going to go down for a year, we've thought of that. The plan will meet you there. Yeah. Yeah. And like I said, even if it doesn't turn out perfect, it's better than what you have now, especially if what you have now is nothing. Yeah. Yeah. So that's the procrastination aspect. And the insurance policy aspect of having something that I know is structured, tried and tested that I can rely on. Yeah. It's not theory. It's yeah. This is tested. BePreparedSolutions.co. There's a three-day trial over there if you want to jump on it. Or you can go right in, use PBN20, get 20% off sign-up. You get access to all this and more. And it's a no-brainer. And it's national preparedness. What are you waiting for? Gentlemen, appreciate you. Once again, it won't be your last time here for sure. Thank you so much. Thanks, James. No problem. We got so much more to show you guys. It's just, you know, there's only so much time in the day. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Don't miss it. We'll be here live 9 a.m. We're talking emergency comms. All right. Pocklink comms. Very cool technology. Talk to you tomorrow. See you.
