[00:00:04] You're listening to PBN Your path back to stability here Well, hello everyone. What is up? Ho feels like I was just on here feels like Feels like I was just in here doing this thing and that's because I was What 10 12 12 hours ago
[00:00:48] 12 hours ago you want to see something cool my son won me at an arcade pretty sweet coffee spilled all over oh Oh Hit the the poison beam soup first thing in the more well not really first salmon up for a while, but
[00:01:06] What's up? What's going on how is everyone adjust the microphone get things right? We're talking doom today. We're talking doom and then we're talking anything but doom at noon. I couldn't do
[00:01:22] Politics stuff. I did what kind of heavy on on the state of the Union. I didn't feel like talking about like execution assassination FBI Right, I didn't feel like getting into any of that stuff
[00:01:36] If you're gonna do this thing behind the microphone or in front of the camera type stuff or life in general, you know You fundamentally have to be passionate about it Or else it's gonna suck and then there's no point in doing it
[00:01:50] So I gotta follow that you know that north star. It's important We're gonna talk about passion at the end of this thing because I realize that We're gonna talk about the youth Fundamentally we're gonna talk about the rise of this thing called doomism that has taken grips
[00:02:06] Has gone viral and and is attacking and gnawing at the psyche of of the youth and and basically, you know Thanks to the Greta Thunbergs and the media and every movie that's ever come out about anything anymore Climate change has been attributed to everything and and
[00:02:30] The sort of by any means necessary mentality that I always warn people about the one that we saw in DC yesterday with the pro-Palestinian feminist trans
[00:02:40] Burn effigies of net and yahoo. I mean what would that crowd do to net and yahoo if they got their hands on them those loving accepting people anyway They just take stuff too far all the time, you know what I mean
[00:02:54] And and they've done it and there's effects on a society when you do that If you throw climate change in the death of a planet through climate change into every movie every story every comic book every every
[00:03:04] Maybe I've every star come out and say that the world is coming to an end because of climate change and It's humans fault and humans are a blight on everything and the humans are to blame and human human human human humans have done
[00:03:16] Nothing good only the panda bears are good only the whales are good only Only the praying mantis one of the praying mantises aren't good because they're a little too Christian for our liking So, you know you get into this this bag of tricks that has really detrimental
[00:03:32] Reprocussions on a on an entire generation and and that's what I want to talk about today doomism doom ism Because at noon we're gonna do the first episode of a new podcast on the prepper broadcasting network called anything but doom
[00:03:49] Which we all need we all needed 20 to 30 minutes of anything but doom And that's exactly what that podcast going to be about today. It's gonna be about the The movie the crow from 1993 and the remake and my thoughts on that
[00:04:04] Nothing to do with climate change post apocalyptic survival Food store nothing just a just a break from it all However, if you are fundamentally focused and driven and impassioned by prepping survival Go to PBN family calm. We're running a special promo code still still running

[00:05:23] So that you know as the world turns you feel better prepared. That's the goal for us here so Let's get into it man, this is a This is something that's got my goat. I don't know
[00:05:37] Well the youth in general, you know, it could be that I'm a father although. I don't think my kids My kids know Fundamentally they know because they see the world
[00:05:47] That is we're not going to ignite at any moment. We're not going to catch on fire at any moment. I can promise you that Even though it you know We've been brainwashed to believe so but the real issue is that people do believe it people 100% believe it and
[00:06:06] It's affecting the way they look at the world So before we get to the doomism article I posted this one or something similar up on Instagram last night The American dream is over I mean
[00:06:19] In a time of depression and and and an uptick in suicide coming off of 2020 Is there worse messaging to put out to generations that are upcoming? Is there worse messaging the American dream is over why some first generation? Gen Zers are moving abroad It's a good one
[00:06:39] So we're talking about people whose parents moved to the US You moved to the US in pursuit of the American dream But some first-generation Gen Z Americans say they feel hopeless and a sense of doom here in the United States and look sorry you know
[00:06:57] and some of these some of these like sort of Focused doomy topics have been honed here in the prepping world You know, we have looked at things like the economy like the US dollar like Civil unrest and really kind of honed them down You know what I mean?
[00:07:16] Into a into a fine point in order to describe to the average person who was busy You know telling us we were paranoid and nothing will ever happen You know pre-2020 paranoid and nothing will ever happen to their beautiful cushy fluffy society
[00:07:33] And then all that changed, you know, mostly we're dealing with like a post trauma That a lot of people can't deal with About three million Americans live abroad an increase of more than 1.27 million people since the 90s
[00:07:47] I thought I would fall in love with America and the American dream of progressing and making something of yourself and feeling proud Rania Salah 23 said Salah was born in the US but spent her childhood in Jordan
[00:07:58] She graduated from American University with a degree in public health in 2022 in May She moved out of her apartment in Virginia and Is now living in Turkey next up is Qatar I Can't figure out why you would move there that's scary But yeah, you know What is it?
[00:08:20] Inflation shows signs of cooling food prices rose 2.2% from April 23 24 Rent is also steadily increased since the pandemic with national media and approaching $2,000 per month Salah said she's confident in her decision to leave the US despite some trade-offs That come with exiting a democracy and living living under Qatar's
[00:08:41] emir or ruler that being said I'm happy to give up my right to vote as a trade for a significantly better quality of life It's cleaner. It's safer. There's more opportunity and mobility That's wild That's wild and in a number of ways, you know
[00:09:03] I guess there are things not being a first-generation American or something like that that That just stands against so much of what I believe We'll see how this election goes though She's giving up her right to vote I
[00:09:22] May have given mine up a couple years ago also a few years ago. Who knows we'll have to see how this one plays out What What makes me most nervous is the fine line between easy life and Fundamental slavery, you know what I mean
[00:09:44] Almost 20% of all immigrants around the world are in the United States a senior policy analyst with the migration policy in Washington They're doing well in terms of the educational economic outcomes, but at the same time some groups are struggling
[00:09:58] They're struggling because of residential segregation because their parents might be lacking legal status So they might be coming from a low-income family. I mean That's for those listening who are thinking that that's a reason to leave the country look a lot of people come from nothing
[00:10:16] That's the beauty of America the grass may be greener on the other side But I do know that it's been difficult here Christian said because his parents weren't familiar with the college application process
[00:10:26] We're unable to provide such academic support to him. He joined the Marine Corps after high school He fully transitioned out of the military In June and said the recent assassination against former Donald Trump has made him want to leave even sooner than before
[00:10:44] There's no one on this planet. This is what this this young man says There's no one on this planet who could be that bad of a person that we need to assassinate
[00:10:52] Just to keep them out of the presidency Christian said how radical the American culture and society is getting in its Entity is making me go. I really need to get out of here Asian Mazdo she has her story
[00:11:12] Now the President Joe Biden stepped away in 24 following the first presidential bait in which President Biden performed poorly Many Americans have expressed concern it will happen in November and some years Gen Z are still flirt with the idea of leaving the country quote
[00:11:26] It was kind of like I was watching a comedy movie or an SNL skit. That's what it felt like Salah said about the debate She said she felt very sad for her country
[00:11:36] These are I mean these are all 20-somethings, you know what? I mean these are all 20-somethings who clearly Have thought this thing through, you know, you forget that there's like a thinking class in their 20s in the United States You think they're all like the biggest question is
[00:11:52] You think that the vast majority of 20-somethings biggest Decision for the day is like what goes on my poster board sign for protest and what color hair should I wear? But there's a whole you know
[00:12:06] There's there are oodles of souls out there that are trying to find their way in this world. It's not easy Really cool article. I don't know. I Really enjoy getting into people People's heads that are young and coming up in this day and age
[00:12:24] You know, but again and with the caveat that like things are crazy in a lot of places all over the world I Don't think anything could happen in the United States. It would make me decide to move to Qatar though
[00:12:36] But things are crazy all over the world and and here in the States but if you if you still line America up against Any place America included a hundred years ago? You know like 50 years ago It's a damn good life It's a damn good life now
[00:12:58] I'm not struggling to come up in the world where the relations between men and women You know, that's not mentioned in the article, but I know that has a lot to do if there's more traditionalism abroad And I've heard a lot of people talk about that
[00:13:13] traditional gender roles the bat lick they Be let's be real like It's hard It's hard to nurture a marriage when both people are stressed out about work and tired You know what I mean?
[00:13:28] like when both people are maxed out because they are going they are redlining on on hobbies and and fitness and work and Side hustle and all that kind of stuff and then like at the end of the day panting
[00:13:46] Wiping the sweat off your brow remembering that you have a husband or you have a wife to take care of also like That ain't easy That's the thing that I think people are getting
[00:13:57] They're watching probably as young people watching divorce watching all this stuff fall apart and think to themselves You know what maybe maybe traditional is the way to go. Maybe Traditional roles are the way to go, you know and I
[00:14:11] Don't know there's probably something to it for a lot of people You know why is climate doomism going viral and who's fighting it? Now this is the one that That talks more about the climate doomers And I think you should understand the jargon being preppers
[00:14:31] Climate doomers believe the world has already lost the battle against global warming. See that's fundamentally the definition Doomism is the mentality that it's already a wrap. I Don't know why they protest
[00:14:42] I don't know why they do the things that they do like throw potato soup on paintings, but this is the idea Charles is 27 lives in California his quirky tick-tock videos about news history and politics have earned him more than 150k followers
[00:14:57] In the video in question recorded October 2021. He decided it was time for confession I'm a climate doomer. He said since about 2019 I believe that there is little to nothing we can do to actually reverse climate change on a global scale
[00:15:11] That's insane. Sorry, Charlie. I'm but really fundamentally that's crazy But it's it's he's got 150k followers So it's it's a big deal There's a lot of kids who believe that they're growing up sort of living that lie that they've been fed growing up that the world is over
[00:15:33] And it's people's fault Elena Wood is a sustainability scientist based in Tennessee. Oh, you know, she's no good the garbage queen Why after watching Charles video? She posted a reply explaining in simple terms why he was wrong
[00:15:47] Yeah, I knew Elena was one of those no good people with hope and Other facts that don't fit, you know the the matrix Elena was that makes a habit of challenging climate doom is an omission She's embraced with a sense of urgency look Understand
[00:16:05] The reason people are people is because we survive That's fundamentally it, you know now. I don't know how much God's hand plays in that Um I feel it I feel it for sure in my life But what I will tell you is that uh, we survive
[00:16:29] You know like if you think if you think that The warming planet is going to kill us all off That's bananas The planet has been warmer The planet has been colder much colder the planet has been hit by massive meteors
[00:16:47] We have lived underground and ate each other not that that's the future you want but I'm just saying You know, we we survive We survive And and we're better than ever at making the most out of this life now
[00:17:03] Like way better than ever way better than ever at fixing things way better than ever at banding together as a as a United global force for good We're just living through a bit of a panic attack over 2020 and and and What it looks like to me is a
[00:17:23] The shocking revelation that you have to go to work and and work for a livable wage or or Not become not drive a Maserati Maserati that's That's some old school stuff man. That's some stuff my mom would say Um
[00:17:42] You know sometimes you got to work sometimes you live a life of meteorocrity It's full of happiness, but it's it's not tick tock at instagram photo centric all the time. You know what I mean?
[00:17:54] And it looks like these people in the streets just want want to fight that with all their might People are giving up on activism because they're like i can't handle it anymore This is too much and if it really is too late, why am I even trying?
[00:18:08] She says doomism ultimately leads to climate inaction Which is the opposite of what we want interesting doomism doomism is spreading here. I thought all these years that my legitimate concerns about things like uh civil unrest and and uh the death of the us dollar and You know pandemics
[00:18:36] world wars nuclear fallout those kinds of things would Manipulate society and make them be like oh god. I don't know The future is worth living Who would have thought that it would just be the some some scientists in hollywood that would say the world's gonna warm
[00:18:55] And then and then you're all gonna die And that the whole society would be like no way shit And fall into a deep depression I don't know folks. This is what I so So This is on the plates of the youth you know
[00:19:15] and I know that we have these great expectations as Americans and we have this quote-unquote american dream but you know If you look at what the american dream represented It never represented a five hundred thousand dollar house or
[00:19:33] Eight if the price is inflated a two thousand square foot house It never envisioned the world where you had two You know 40 thousand dollar vehicles parked out in your driveway It never envisioned the world where you took six vacations a year and you know what i'm saying
[00:19:50] And wiped Highly expensive creams on your flesh multiple times a day In an attempt to beat father time, which is impossible This is not the american dream, you know um And as far as I can tell you know this this ride is all you make it
[00:20:12] This is this ride is all you make it. I want to tell you something about myself and about the importance of hobbies and passions and and Enjoying this short ride Like this is such a short little ride
[00:20:29] To spend your whole 20s or your 25s to 35s worrying about the planet coming to an end because Alicia Silverstone told you it would Susan Sorand and told you it's crazy. It's absolutely bananas I was thinking about this this morning you can spend
[00:20:53] The better part of your life let's say 60 65 years Following your passions Never being great at anything Never being exceptional Never making millions of dollars Just doing the things you love to do with the people you enjoy doing them with a happy life of
[00:21:19] Chasing what it is you're into in the moment You can you can drain off 60 65 years of utter bliss And then shuffle off this mortal coil And have a great life doing so Do you know what I'm saying?
[00:21:39] Like the moment you start putting barriers in the way of your passions and your hobbies and the things that you really love Spending time with certain people
[00:21:49] Not spending time with people that suck right the moment you start putting roadblocks in that and boxing yourself in in order to do what In order to make other people happy in order to make more money, right? The moment you fall into that trap Is the real doom
[00:22:06] I mean, that's that's your fundamental doomsday. That's your personal doomsday Because i'm telling you despite watching all the people in the nice cars with a nice fake hair and fake everything and Expensive heels and handbags and all this stuff Right? um
[00:22:30] A light living a life where you do the things that you like with the people you like Get into as many things as you can There is no need To ever concern yourself with being the greatest pickleball player of your time
[00:22:48] And understand that like if that is your true motivation then everything else has to go Every little thing that you see that peaks your interest you go to it every little book
[00:23:00] I want to read that book. I read it. It sucked. I want to read this. I want to do that I want to write something. I want to write a book. I want to make a play. I want to write a play
[00:23:09] I want to put a play on I want to play a game. I want to Every little stupid little Waste of time thing that you can put your time into where you're physically getting involved and doing things in meeting
[00:23:22] And whatever it is that you want to be in That's what you do. That's what life is That's what life is You know what I mean? This mentality where we have to be the best Freakin paintballer of all time Never forget you can drain off
[00:23:46] 65 years of a great life With a small family A small friend group And multitudes of hobbies and passions so that in in the windows of free time that you have You can disappear into film into books into poetry into art into
[00:24:02] Games into video games into vr into whatever it is that you want Whatever it is that you're into do the shit you're into This is lost on this generation coming up Every little thing that piques your interest go in whenever before in our life
[00:24:19] Have we had the ability to go so deep into stuff? Right like right now you could pick up a new hobby right now And literally spend the rest of the day YouTubeing and reading and an in and in my mind and go going so deep into it
[00:24:33] And that's life. That's really life Everything else is just getting in the way of that You know what I mean? So Forget about what Greta said It's not the end of the world far from it and uh
[00:24:50] You know look at the look at the watch my man. Look at the clock It's draining away Grains of sand every breath that you take You are one step closer to the coffin. You better enjoy this ride. All right You better enjoy it
[00:25:10] All right pvn family. Well, that's kind of where I wanted to go today That's kind of fundamentally where I wanted to go today I hope you enjoyed the diatribe I feel for this generation of kids coming up. I really do you know, I feel that they gotta
[00:25:31] I don't know. I don't know what it is actually because You watch them and you understand like you know There are challenges, but Like they didn't lose two siblings to illness There's not a they're not being drafted to v it go to vietnam
[00:25:48] You know what I mean? Like there are a lot of challenges, but there also aren't a lot of challenges But it's tough, you know You can't tell a teenager in an early 20 something that life isn't tough because it is so damn tough
[00:26:02] Right? You're figuring it out. You're finding your way and perhaps on top of like just the sheer petrification if that's a word of Approaching the opposite sex and all that kind of stuff and getting into college or or getting through high school or dealing with
[00:26:19] All the stuff that you deal with coming of age Maybe when you layer that with the constant stream of information You know, even while world war two was going on The kids in the streets of new york city probably weren't spending all their day thinking about it
[00:26:36] And that's probably what it comes down to is the fact that we have this epic stream Of shit flowing into our heads 24 7 about the problems of the day Cut it off pbn family. Enjoy the rest of your day um
