PBN Daily News February 5th 2025 - Insulin Shortage

[00:00:04] You're listening to PBN. Your path back to stability here.

[00:00:31] Good Monday morning. Welcome into PBN Daily News. Your path back to stability.

[00:00:38] It's good to be back on the air. Did I take a big break?

[00:00:43] We were out very slow week last week, and you know what? I feel really good about it.

[00:00:48] You know, we put out such content that we probably could stand to take a whole week off.

[00:00:54] But the hosts, myself included, you know, we're far too...

[00:00:59] I mean, we're far too passionate about the topic and the times to even imagine shutting our mouths for a full week.

[00:01:08] But I hope I gave you a lot of time to catch up.

[00:01:11] Because you know, the way these things go... See, there's an ebb and flow with

[00:01:15] podcast creation. The way that these things go is this week's probably gonna be a monster. We're starting out with

[00:01:22] Prepper fiction bestseller DJ Cooper.

[00:01:27] And

[00:01:28] she's always a great guest. I mean, she's deeply embedded in... Very similar her and I. Deeply embedded in the prepping community.

[00:01:35] You know, through writing, through podcasting, and now through a number of other endeavors.

[00:01:40] So we'll talk to her tonight on Preppers Live, 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

[00:01:45] Yeah, it's gonna be a good one.

[00:01:47] It's gonna be a good one.

[00:01:48] Well, we already really kicked it off with the less than lethal

[00:01:52] discussion with the Matter of Facts guys this morning, which is always great. Them guys, you know...

[00:01:58] What a pickup. You know, like the PBN draft pick.

[00:02:05] So real quick on the preparedness side of things.

[00:02:10] Kale, Arugula, Spinach, Lettuce. All in rock wool sprouting right now.

[00:02:18] In the sunlight through the windows keeping warm.

[00:02:22] And going to populate the indoor

[00:02:26] hydroponic system

[00:02:28] that I'm gonna build out, like you know probably this week actually because

[00:02:33] once we get some roots coming through that rock, well we can get started.

[00:02:39] If you joined us for our

[00:02:41] food security network masterclass, you heard me talk about, you know, the capabilities and the possibilities of growing food indoors.

[00:02:50] I

[00:02:51] think growing food indoors is gonna become a thing, you know and

[00:02:55] the reason it's become a thing in my head finally, you know, originally it was my idea to do it outdoors.

[00:03:03] But the reason it's become an idea indoors for me is not just to combat the cold and to get things going early,

[00:03:10] but also a convenience

[00:03:13] a convenience

[00:03:16] matter as well, right?

[00:03:19] Like why wouldn't you want to have a bunch of cool

[00:03:22] lettuces and herbs and the leafy healthy greens growing inside the house if you can?

[00:03:29] You know my kids they like that kind of stuff. I don't know about your children, but my kids they eat that stuff.

[00:03:34] They walk over and pluck that stuff off. I'd be better to eat a leaf of kale from our hydroponics

[00:03:40] or aquaponics, which one hydroponics growing indoors.

[00:03:44] You know, then a multivitamin or whatever made of how gummy and who knows how old, right?

[00:03:51] Something along those lines, but

[00:03:54] yeah, that's one of many things that we have going on on our side.

[00:03:59] I'll let you tune into PBN to find out about a lot of the other stuff

[00:04:04] that's happening all over the network.

[00:04:06] You know it really is seed sprouting time.

[00:04:08] Keep that in mind garden planning, seed sprouting time. One of the things you might want to consider that you haven't yet is trees.

[00:04:15] Trees

[00:04:17] What are the trees doing in your neighborhood to block the sun from your garden this year?

[00:04:21] You know one thing that happens constantly we often forget about it is trees grow.

[00:04:25] They grow, they get bigger, they get taller, the limbs get longer and before you know it

[00:04:30] they start to encroach on your you know six to eight hours or more of sun per day and

[00:04:35] your garden will pay for that. You know your garden will certainly take my word for it.

[00:04:40] All right, so

[00:04:44] It's time. It's very, very alarming supply chain news.

[00:04:49] We're gonna get into now with the One Thread and One Solution. Let's do it.

[00:05:10] Our friends over at the Gray Man Briefing

[00:05:12] bring to us actually this came in last week just so that where our timing is right and you understand what's going on with what?

[00:05:20] This is a supply change slash labor force brief brought to you by the Gray Man Briefing.

[00:05:27] Insulin supply sees immediate impact after Nova discontinued sales in the US.

[00:05:34] Okay, Novo Nordisk

[00:05:36] quote Novo Nordisk. I don't have anybody in my family that requires insulin

[00:05:42] okay, but you need to pay attention to this if you have a loved one or are someone who

[00:05:47] requires insulin.

[00:05:49] Novo Nordisk will discontinue its long-acting insulin

[00:05:52] Levemere that probably rings a bell. Effective December 2024 some Levemere products flex pen

[00:05:59] will stop in April. Did you hear me? April the flex pen will stop in April.

[00:06:07] Disruptions are occurring at this time after a mid-January impact timeframe was projected.

[00:06:11] Novo recommended that healthcare providers talk to their patients, of course.

[00:06:14] Novo has elected to stop producing its long-lasting insulin citing global manufacturing issues decreasing patient coverage and

[00:06:23] available alternative replacements.

[00:06:25] Novo indicates supply chain impacts would worsen throughout the year. Do you hear that?

[00:06:29] Novo indicates supply chain impacts would worsen throughout the year as existing supplies dwindle.

[00:06:38] That's legit. That's real, okay?

[00:06:40] Reuters implied that Novo stopped American distribution following significant US government

[00:06:45] coerced price cuts. Further supporting this thought

[00:06:50] the product is not discontinued for other countries.

[00:06:54] So this is a two-tier

[00:06:58] sort of situation to wrap your head around. It builds around supply chain and builds around first aid and builds around overall health.

[00:07:06] Right? It is

[00:07:07] the government's in there saying we want your product at this price and they're saying you're not getting our product at

[00:07:13] this price and the government's saying oh yes we are and then the company says okay, well you won't get it at all.

[00:07:20] And then they're also citing availability concern. Now this availability, I don't know. I don't know all the politics in the story.

[00:07:28] The point of it to you is what we've been talking about for three four years now, right? Supply chain disruptions, alternative everything.

[00:07:41] Taking matters into your own hands as well.

[00:07:43] You know, there is a chance depending on your condition that through diet and exercise and

[00:07:50] through diet and exercise fundamentally you can affect

[00:07:54] your diabetes. I mean I'm not saying it because it's a conspiracy. I've seen my

[00:07:59] pre-diabetic father-in-law

[00:08:02] fight off diabetes just through diet and exercise.

[00:08:07] You know. And for those of you who are out there who are insolindependent,

[00:08:12] I mean this is a serious prep for you. It's not something I put off any longer.

[00:08:17] You know medications in general, not something I put off any longer. There are great companies out there, the wellness company,

[00:08:24] Jace Medical, these guys are all offering like years worth of prescriptions now. Okay, now's the time.

[00:08:32] Now's the time to invest in that. You cannot invest in a years worth prescription of what you need to survive

[00:08:41] after an event.

[00:08:42] You know, I published something from the Greyman briefing actually on Instagram that was wildly popular.

[00:08:49] I mean it was insanely popular.

[00:08:52] And that's because these briefs are great, you know, they're information dense and

[00:08:58] you know,

[00:09:00] let's see. Yeah, we reached 15,000 people.

[00:09:07] But it was about the fact that China's hackers are positioning on American infrastructure and preparation to wreak havoc and cause real

[00:09:13] world harm to American citizens and communities.

[00:09:18] I said it like this, I said, you know, if you

[00:09:22] if you think about it on land,

[00:09:25] if China were staging

[00:09:26] tanks

[00:09:28] on the Mexico and Canadian border, if China were staging naval craft in the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean,

[00:09:35] we'd be saying

[00:09:36] we're about to go to war. This could get real bad.

[00:09:40] And we'd be taking action.

[00:09:42] The staging of forces is happening in the digital world, right? It's a digital staging of forces.

[00:09:48] It's get all of our cyber soldiers

[00:09:52] fingers deep within the infrastructure of the US.

[00:09:55] So when we go into Taiwan

[00:09:58] and the US decides to putter the Gerald Ford over,

[00:10:03] we got something for him.

[00:10:05] Okay, so what does all that mean?

[00:10:08] I mean to you it's very simple, right? It's the on-grid off-grid balance. I always talk about.

[00:10:13] It's using this year, using money, using time, using effort to create an on-grid off-grid balance for yourself and your family.

[00:10:21] That's what it is.

[00:10:25] For those of you who are unaware, the on-grid off-grid balance is just a matter of

[00:10:29] living on the grid like most of us want to. We love our hot water.

[00:10:33] We love our endless power. We love turning the faucet on and having it run, run, run, run, clean potable water.

[00:10:40] But it's about building infrastructure like off-grid hot water heaters, off-grid showers,

[00:10:46] smokers, cooking implements for outside and outdoors that can work when your electric stove doesn't work anymore.

[00:10:52] When your propane runs out, right?

[00:10:54] It's about building this kind of stuff. Three-stage water filters.

[00:10:58] The five gallon bucket three-stage water filter build in off-grid projects is

[00:11:04] everybody should have one of those.

[00:11:05] First of all, or at least know how to make it. It's so cheap and so easy. You can make it from things you find on your own property basically.

[00:11:15] But all those things that make the day that you wake up and go

[00:11:21] I guess the power companies and the water companies have been cyber attacked so severely

[00:11:28] That they don't want us to drink the water. It's unsafe

[00:11:32] And we don't have any power to power this phone that's dying

[00:11:38] Right

[00:11:39] So now you're out of power. You're out of water. How long would you last?

[00:11:44] In a situation like that

[00:11:46] Now is the time to build that up, right?

[00:11:51] In this podcast, you're going to see a pbn links

[00:11:54] Link tree says pbn links down in the description of the podcast go there

[00:12:00] Buy the off-grid projects book if you don't have it yet hard copy put it on your shelf

[00:12:05] And slowly start to build out those projects for yourself

[00:12:09] and your family and

[00:12:11] the day

[00:12:12] That we go off-grid because war equals off-grid

[00:12:15] Right war equals off-grid

[00:12:18] We go to war with china. We're going to be off grid. There's no way

[00:12:22] We go full scale war with china over taiwan and they don't shut power off somewhere and water off somewhere and gas off somewhere

[00:12:28] And gasoline off right. There's no way it's going to be a cyber war

[00:12:32] And who knows what kind of operatives they have in the nation

[00:12:36] Who can do stuff manually?

[00:12:40] So we have to be aware of this stuff. We have to be prepared, right?

[00:12:45] Let's get into uh

[00:12:47] Let's get into words and then we're going to call it a day. I know I got to bring the shtf chef back

[00:12:52] I apologize

[00:12:54] Um, but not today

[00:12:56] Not today. So our word section of the show it is february guys

[00:13:01] Okay, it is the month of

[00:13:03] romantic love

[00:13:05] and black history and

[00:13:07] all the great presidents and

[00:13:10] Whatever else we can cram in here

[00:13:14] But it's a good time to read from dante gabriel rosetti

[00:13:17] It's a short one. It's a short one. It's called nuptial sleep. It's actually not the full sonnet

[00:13:23] Oh, it is the full son. It's just back here. Is it?

[00:13:28] Nope

[00:13:30] It's just a snippet five six lines

[00:13:33] uh

[00:13:34] From nuptial sleep, which is a great one, you know if you're

[00:13:38] If you're into the uh the married love lifestyle, right?

[00:13:44] Sleep sank them lower than the tide of dreams

[00:13:49] And their dreams watch them sink and slid away

[00:13:53] Slowly their souls swam up again through gleams

[00:13:58] Of watered light and dull drowned waves of day

[00:14:02] Till from some wonder of new woods and streams he woke and wondered more

[00:14:07] For there she lay

[00:14:10] Dante gabriel was a master. Okay, and say he's got some really good stuff outside of just the lovey-dovey

[00:14:17] pot, I mean

[00:14:19] Sonnets, but he doesn't better than anybody. I think I think you might even do him better than

[00:14:24] Shakespeare

[00:14:25] Just you know my opinion one man's opinion on the matter

[00:14:30] We do suffer in this country though from a lack of

[00:14:34] A lack of focus on really sort of I don't want to even call it old school romantic love but the courtship of

[00:14:42] And the idolatry in some ways of

[00:14:46] Romantic love we do we suffer it we suffer not taking full advantage of it

[00:14:52] um

[00:14:53] And it makes life way better just does right?

[00:14:58] All right folks get into your calm within chaos routines this week man
