[00:00:55] It's the final iteration. For those of you who don't know, I do...
[00:01:01] You can't even see it, it's too bright.
[00:01:04] I do several iterations of coffee mug throughout the season.
[00:01:11] These ones in particular, I have three to a set.
[00:01:16] And I change them as the weeks count down.
[00:01:20] Not the only ones I use, but you know.
[00:01:22] I got the Christmas Hook whole bean. The Christmas Hook whole bean.
[00:01:31] Ground this morning.
[00:01:33] The Christmas Hook is a coffee from DisasterCoffee.com, my business.
[00:01:39] I don't have a copy of the Christmas Hook at arm's length, but it's a Christmas story that I wrote.
[00:01:45] And we made a coffee just for it.
[00:01:49] I'm going to talk Christmas this morning a little bit.
[00:01:51] I want to talk about Merry Christmas is Back.
[00:01:57] DEI has taken a serious hit.
[00:02:03] It's a good thing.
[00:02:05] And it's...
[00:02:07] What I got for you is a metric. That's all I got for you really.
[00:02:10] It's a very interesting metric.
[00:02:12] It's super early. It's 6 o'clock in the morning Eastern.
[00:02:15] Welcome to the Prepper Broadcasting Network.
[00:02:17] I'm James Walton, the intrepid commander of this here Star Cruiser.
[00:02:23] And, oh, I got this wonderful shirt from my kid.
[00:02:27] Should I show you the shirt?
[00:02:28] The shirt's worth showing because it's fun.
[00:02:31] Let me see.
[00:02:32] This is not usually my deal.
[00:02:37] I don't know.
[00:02:38] Gingerbread decapitation.
[00:02:40] With me and him.
[00:02:42] We're big Mortal Kombat fans.
[00:02:44] So that kind of stuff plays well.
[00:02:49] So, yeah, man.
[00:02:51] It's the 23rd.
[00:02:53] You know what I mean?
[00:02:54] And I'm going to be sipping this coffee insanely because it's...
[00:02:58] I just poured it.
[00:02:59] It's super hot.
[00:03:01] It's right on the money.
[00:03:02] It's idyllic around here.
[00:03:05] It's idyllic.
[00:03:07] It's cold.
[00:03:08] It's...
[00:03:10] It's Christmas time, man.
[00:03:12] It really is.
[00:03:13] I also want to talk about...
[00:03:15] I want to talk about like 30,000 people.
[00:03:19] And the importance of 30,000 people.
[00:03:23] Because there's always this notion in the prepping world that I want to go over today too.
[00:03:30] First and foremost though, let's get into the story.
[00:03:32] Merry Christmas is back.
[00:03:33] We're not going to do a one threat, one solution.
[00:03:36] I don't want to talk about craziness too much.
[00:03:40] I want you to enjoy your holiday.
[00:03:41] You know what I mean?
[00:03:43] There's enough villainy out there.
[00:03:44] I don't want to talk about New York and the nightmare on the subway and all that kind of stuff.
[00:03:50] Something about that whole situation looks weird to me.
[00:03:54] If you know what I'm talking about, you know.
[00:03:56] If you don't know, wait until after the holler.
[00:03:57] You'll find out about it.
[00:04:01] If you hear anything in the background, I have two hours of Christmas cartoons playing.
[00:04:11] It's great if you have Prime.
[00:04:12] There's like a two hour...
[00:04:14] Just search Christmas cartoons on Prime if you have kids or if you're a kid like me.
[00:04:20] Search two of Christmas cartoons and you'll find like a two hour long.
[00:04:25] And I'm talking old, good stuff.
[00:04:29] Don't find any DEI in that shit either.
[00:04:33] Anybody in chat?
[00:04:34] I gotta stop neglecting the old chat room.
[00:04:37] Oh, we got Jorade in chat.
[00:04:40] Right on.
[00:04:43] Go ahead, old girl.
[00:04:48] Anyway, it's idyllic.
[00:04:51] Christmas lights, Christmas movies, whatever.
[00:04:55] I hope you're doing the same thing.
[00:04:58] The article I got here is from Forbes.
[00:05:00] I don't read Forbes.
[00:05:01] I don't read anything really, to be honest.
[00:05:05] I don't traffic in publications.
[00:05:09] I read based on headlines like the majority of people.
[00:05:14] I read the headline.
[00:05:15] I go in.
[00:05:16] I go, is this bullshit?
[00:05:17] No? Okay.
[00:05:18] Let's look it over.
[00:05:20] So, Doug Melville over at Forbes wrote an article.
[00:05:23] Merry Christmas is back.
[00:05:24] Targets change signals DEI shift.
[00:05:27] Okay.
[00:05:28] And this Doug Melville guy says, I cover the intersection of equity, leadership and DEI in business.
[00:05:33] I don't know what his mode is, but what's important is recently users.
[00:05:42] I don't need to talk.
[00:05:44] Couple ex-users posted a photo on their feeds of some of Target's store level holiday decor.
[00:05:53] This year, the message of happy holidays wasn't front and center.
[00:05:57] Instead, the phrase Merry Christmas was the headline.
[00:06:02] Now, this is one of those things, right?
[00:06:04] The, the, this is one of those things that these people have made complicated for no reason.
[00:06:13] Like, that's their game.
[00:06:15] Their game is to complicate things for no reason whatsoever.
[00:06:19] And they created this, well, this bullshit really that like, if you say Merry Christmas to someone, it ruins their whole holiday.
[00:06:28] You know what I mean?
[00:06:29] Like they created that kind of thing where it was like, well, you should say happy holidays because you never know.
[00:06:35] Right?
[00:06:36] As if, and if you're a common person like me or like Jewel Raid in the chat room, if you're a common person, you understand that if someone walked up to you, let's say you're Christian.
[00:06:48] Like, if someone walked up to you and said, hey, happy Hanukkah, dude.
[00:06:54] Happy Kwanzaa.
[00:06:56] Right?
[00:07:00] Right on with your day.
[00:07:02] Right on with your day.
[00:07:02] I'd say the same thing back to him.
[00:07:05] Happy Kwanzaa, man.
[00:07:06] Merry Christmas.
[00:07:08] Roll on.
[00:07:09] Move on with your life.
[00:07:11] This whole happy holidays thing has made us look, you know what I mean?
[00:07:16] It's just like a stutter in the beauty of the, of the season.
[00:07:21] You know, this is what these guys add.
[00:07:24] This is what DEI adds.
[00:07:25] This is what the whole woke thing adds to our society.
[00:07:28] It adds a stutter.
[00:07:29] It's like taking a kid and every time they talk, you yell at them.
[00:07:33] As soon as they start talking and you create a little stutter.
[00:07:36] You know what I mean?
[00:07:37] It's all it does.
[00:07:38] It's stupid.
[00:07:39] It's actually, well, beyond just creating problems, it's like, it's lowering the condition of everything.
[00:07:47] You know what I mean?
[00:07:49] What's going on, old girl?
[00:07:52] We've got the, uh, we've got the, uh, the old dog joining us for some showtime.
[00:08:01] She may fall over.
[00:08:02] I don't know.
[00:08:02] She's got herself in a precarious position.
[00:08:05] You're going to have to hit reverse, girl.
[00:08:06] Go ahead.
[00:08:08] There's a big old kettlebell right there.
[00:08:10] You don't want no parts of that.
[00:08:13] I think they're ready for breakfast.
[00:08:19] So, from, for a, I'm going to get a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little
[00:08:20] a business-like target to sort of make this decision to go back to Merry Christmas.
[00:08:28] And I didn't link to the article, but you can look it up.
[00:08:30] And you'll see it.
[00:08:31] You'll see the, uh, you'll see the picture.
[00:08:35] It is kind of hard to believe.
[00:08:37] It's interesting to see not happening once but twice.
[00:08:41] Merry Christmas in, in, uh, white letters.
[00:08:44] You know, the ceiling hung decoration.
[00:08:47] Pretty interesting, man.
[00:08:50] I like to watch businesses and what businesses do when it comes to making money and bringing
[00:08:55] in customers.
[00:08:57] Because it's always sort of like, it's a tell, you know what I mean?
[00:09:02] It's a tell.
[00:09:03] It's they, they're looking at the political landscape, cultural landscape.
[00:09:09] I'm being sabotaged by this old dog.
[00:09:11] I promise you that.
[00:09:14] But anyway.
[00:09:17] So, is it a sign of things to come?
[00:09:20] Coming from, coming from Target, I think it's a very big deal.
[00:09:27] Target is one of the more woke places there is in, in, in everything.
[00:09:32] You know what I mean?
[00:09:33] In every, you go down the book aisle, you go, you know what I mean?
[00:09:35] It's so crazy in there.
[00:09:36] I don't, I hardly even go in there anymore.
[00:09:38] Not just because of that, but just, you know, they don't really sell anything you want anymore
[00:09:42] either.
[00:09:44] You know, unless you like, if I'm in the market for like a children's show t-shirt, I'll go
[00:09:51] there.
[00:09:52] That's like the, the number one draw for me.
[00:09:54] Like if I, if I need a new t-shirt and I'm like, I'd really like a Spider-Man, the
[00:09:59] animated series t-shirt, I'll go to Target.
[00:10:02] That's about all they got over there that I'm interested in and, and rarely interested
[00:10:08] in that.
[00:10:12] So, you know, the, one of the other things about this that I think is really important
[00:10:17] to talk about is the, the sort of lasting effect of, or not the lasting effect, the durability,
[00:10:32] the fortitude, I guess, of all these DEI and woke movements.
[00:10:38] Do you know what I mean?
[00:10:39] I've always said that they had no base.
[00:10:41] I've always said that they would wash away like sand.
[00:10:46] And when you see one of their strongest allies in target, just flip the script like this.
[00:10:53] It is a reminder that this movement, you know, even though it seemed like it had its
[00:11:00] claws and its teeth into the American public pretty deep.
[00:11:04] And there's, it's still worth fighting.
[00:11:06] Don't get me wrong, but it's just, this is a serious blow, man.
[00:11:12] You know what I mean?
[00:11:13] It's a serious thing because last year, I remember going there and making a, a sort
[00:11:18] of like a gag video, a podcast for the members.
[00:11:22] I don't even know if I posted it to be honest about a tan Santa.
[00:11:28] You know what I mean?
[00:11:29] And that was, it was this weird, they, they only did one version of Santa, you know, like
[00:11:37] in the, in the last few years, there's been like the black Santa and the white Santa thing.
[00:11:42] I don't ever remember seeing it growing up.
[00:11:44] My wife and I started seeing it maybe back in the like two thousand sevens or eights or nines, whatever.
[00:11:52] Right.
[00:11:54] But what was really interesting from a sort of neither, neither hot nor cold operation
[00:12:04] like target was to go there and find that they had stirred their paint for Santa in such
[00:12:11] a way last year that he was neither white nor black, which, you know, but it was funny
[00:12:18] to see.
[00:12:19] It was funny to look at it and go like, all right.
[00:12:22] So, we're just gonna, we're just gonna do one, but we're gonna make him as impossible
[00:12:30] to identify racially as we can.
[00:12:33] And everyone is going to be happy with that.
[00:12:38] It's a big jump.
[00:12:40] It's a big jump back to Merry Christmas.
[00:12:41] It means a lot.
[00:12:43] You know, it also could mean they're just trying to drag you in.
[00:12:47] They wouldn't drag.
[00:12:48] Hey, look.
[00:12:49] I get to run a commercial real quick and see what my dog's doing.
[00:12:52] She's stashed.
[00:12:52] This is very weird behavior for her.
[00:12:55] But she's staring at me and walking around the house.
[00:12:58] I don't know if she's got to go out or what the deal is.
[00:12:59] So, let me drum up a couple commercials.
[00:13:01] We'll come back.
[00:13:02] We'll talk about 30,000 people when I return.
[00:13:08] Stop.
[00:13:08] Food storage and preservation are at the heart of self-reliance.
[00:13:12] Our sponsor, Pack Fresh USA, features made-in-America products.
[00:13:16] I shop PackFreshUSA.com for mylar bags and oxygen absorbers for my home food storage.
[00:13:22] But they do all kinds of products.
[00:13:24] Go to PackFreshUSA.com and check out their Prepper University
[00:13:28] and order their box set of mylar bags and oxygen absorbers.
[00:13:32] It's a 7ml 100-pack of Mylar bags, oxygen absorbers, labels, and even a food storage guide.
[00:13:47] EMP protection is on the minds of all preppers.
[00:13:50] And since the massive geomagnetic storm back in May that brought the Northern Lights to Texas,
[00:13:55] more and more people are paying attention.
[00:13:58] FaradayContainers.com has some of the largest and most fortified EMP protection on the planet.
[00:14:05] 20-foot and 40-foot shipping containers built with copper beryllium gaskets for maximum protection.
[00:14:13] They also have 5-foot work boxes that can be loaded with solar generators, solar panels, comms.
[00:14:20] Visit FaradayContainers.com.
[00:14:23] Wisconsin-built EMP protection.
[00:14:26] Hello.
[00:14:28] Welcome to the podcast.
[00:14:30] Present your vaccine passport.
[00:14:34] Enter your social credit score.
[00:14:37] And be sure you have enough remaining carbon credits to enjoy today's show.
[00:14:44] Your garden is the resistance.
[00:14:52] Welcome back, folks.
[00:14:54] I want to show you something.
[00:14:57] First, I want to show you the ghost of Christmas past.
[00:15:01] Is that creepy or what?
[00:15:03] It's one of those drones.
[00:15:07] You see this thing?
[00:15:09] This is the O-Lite S1R baton.
[00:15:17] Charges by cap on the back, magnetized, rechargeable, tiny little baton.
[00:15:25] My buddy Joe Prim sold this thing when he was doing his podcast.
[00:15:29] Great guy.
[00:15:31] And he reached out to us and he was like, hey, can you get people to buy these?
[00:15:34] I'm making commissions.
[00:15:35] And I said, yeah, whatever.
[00:15:36] We'll get some.
[00:15:37] And we put it out to the network.
[00:15:40] And this thing, man, watch your eyeballs.
[00:15:42] This thing is an absolute powerhouse.
[00:15:45] You know what I mean?
[00:15:46] And it's one of the first lights I ever bought.
[00:15:48] That's the two tap right there.
[00:15:53] It's one of the first flashlights I ever bought that was like, you know, the real deal.
[00:15:58] And it's just an amazing little light.
[00:16:00] I think it's going for like 40 bucks right now.
[00:16:02] I got an Amazon link to it.
[00:16:04] But I want to bring you some of the stuff that I use on a regular basis.
[00:16:07] Not in depth, but, you know.
[00:16:11] Olight does great lights.
[00:16:13] Sorry, my hand is brighter than the actual light itself.
[00:16:16] Let's see what happens when you go up close.
[00:16:19] Okay.
[00:16:20] That's pretty good up close, actually.
[00:16:23] Yeah.
[00:16:23] So the Olight S1R top notch.
[00:16:27] It's getting a little old nowadays.
[00:16:29] You know what I mean?
[00:16:30] Like it's old technology, it feels like.
[00:16:34] But it's got a long press moonlight setting that I love.
[00:16:39] That's this creepy ghost of Christmas past situation.
[00:16:45] But it's, you know, this light right here, man.
[00:16:48] This light right here is probably six years old, something like that.
[00:16:54] I don't think I've ever changed a battery.
[00:16:56] I use it all the time.
[00:16:58] It's actually, because it's magnetized, this thing sits on our fridge.
[00:17:02] It's right on the fridge.
[00:17:04] That way everybody knows they need a real good one.
[00:17:06] They can grab this, take it out back, see what's going on.
[00:17:10] It's a great light.
[00:17:11] I don't know.
[00:17:12] I thought I'd show it to you, tell you about it.
[00:17:14] But I wanted to talk about 30,000 people in a prevailing prepper thought that I've kind of always despised.
[00:17:26] And I'm hearing it come back up to the surface again.
[00:17:29] And, you know, as threats kick off, as we hear new news and stuff about the homeland attack of 2025 or as terrorist attacks happen or whatever it is.
[00:17:43] There's always this prevailing thought in the prepper community.
[00:17:46] And it is avoid crowds.
[00:17:50] Don't be where the people are.
[00:17:52] Avoid crowds, you know.
[00:17:54] And it always, I guess because I grew up like around a big city.
[00:18:00] So, you know, sometimes just unavoidable crowds.
[00:18:04] And also like some great times have been had in massive crowds of people.
[00:18:10] It always rubbed me the wrong way.
[00:18:12] I understand the safety in it.
[00:18:14] I understand that there's immense safety in being away from big crowds.
[00:18:22] But it also always seemed like super weak.
[00:18:25] It seemed like super weak.
[00:18:28] And it seemed like giving an award to the terrorists for scaring the shit out of people.
[00:18:38] You know what I mean?
[00:18:41] And it's one of those things where you...
[00:18:45] What happens if everybody takes that advice?
[00:18:49] America can't America properly.
[00:18:52] If everybody's thinking, don't, don't, no more crowds.
[00:18:57] Right?
[00:18:58] No more big parades.
[00:18:59] No more football games.
[00:19:00] No more basketball.
[00:19:01] No more baseball games.
[00:19:03] No more concerts.
[00:19:04] No more anything.
[00:19:05] No more crowds.
[00:19:06] We got to avoid crowds.
[00:19:08] Because the terrorists might come.
[00:19:13] So my son and I were at the...
[00:19:15] We were in at ground zero yesterday.
[00:19:19] We were in Washington, D.C.
[00:19:21] At the Eagles-Redskins game surrounded by people.
[00:19:25] And what these preparedness guys miss when they talk about don't go to crowds is they miss that feeling.
[00:19:37] They miss the importance of crowds.
[00:19:40] You know, they miss the importance of telling a Redskins fan to go straight directly to hell.
[00:19:48] Do not pass go.
[00:19:49] Do not collect $100.
[00:19:50] Right?
[00:19:51] And then immediately turning around, standing up, taking your hat off, and the whole stadium shuts up and does the national anthem.
[00:20:00] You know what I mean?
[00:20:01] And the flag, they had a giant flag unveiled across the whole field.
[00:20:06] A flag as big as the whole field.
[00:20:07] 100 yards.
[00:20:08] Right?
[00:20:10] Right?
[00:20:11] All that is missed on this idea that you should avoid crowds for your safety.
[00:20:19] There has to be some inherent risk in this life or else this life is not worth living.
[00:20:26] Right?
[00:20:29] I've never heeded the warning very often.
[00:20:32] You know, my wife and I are big proponents of living.
[00:20:40] And as we move into 2025, we're going to see standout lone wolf style attacks.
[00:20:47] We might see terrorist attacks and that kind of stuff.
[00:20:50] And I think to really, if you really want to honor these guys, if you really want to honor the monsters, the terrorists, the worst of the worst, then you stay in your cave.
[00:21:03] You stay in your cave like Groot.
[00:21:05] No, not Groot.
[00:21:07] What's the guy's name?
[00:21:08] Who's the guy from the cruise?
[00:21:10] Remember, stay in the cave.
[00:21:12] Get back in the cave no matter what.
[00:21:14] Stay safe.
[00:21:15] That's how you honor a terror attack.
[00:21:18] That's how you give them the award that they deserve by saying, all right, everybody, stay inside.
[00:21:24] Hide.
[00:21:25] Be very afraid all the time.
[00:21:32] It's a show of immense strength.
[00:21:34] When you have hordes of Americans out there in the face of all the things that we face.
[00:21:44] And enjoying one another, enjoying ourselves, enjoying our time and telling all these threats and all these people who think that they can terrify the United States of America.
[00:21:54] That it's all bullshit.
[00:21:57] Nobody cares.
[00:21:59] Keep it up.
[00:22:00] And the military will be on the doorstep and you get to go through that again.
[00:22:07] So I'm not saying don't go into crowds unprepared.
[00:22:10] I'm just saying be very wary of this piece of advice because I have a feeling it's going to be around for a while.
[00:22:17] And it is the avoid crowds.
[00:22:21] Hide in your house.
[00:22:23] Don't go out in groups of, you know, whatever.
[00:22:27] All of that in my head is don't live.
[00:22:31] Whatever you do, don't enjoy this life.
[00:22:34] Right.
[00:22:35] Spend your time, even though the risk is low as is.
[00:22:39] Spend all your time terrified and, you know, never go do anything exciting.
[00:22:47] If there's more than 20 people doing it, do.
[00:22:51] No, you have to you have to strike into the heart of it all and come out.
[00:22:55] You know what I mean?
[00:22:58] Because otherwise you also develop this anxiety in this brain about cities and crowds.
[00:23:04] And that's a detriment.
[00:23:06] You don't want to have that.
[00:23:07] You know what I mean?
[00:23:07] You don't want to have this preconceived notion that, like, if I go into a city, I'm going to die.
[00:23:13] This is your country.
[00:23:14] You know what I'm saying?
[00:23:16] Like, I'm going to wrap it up, folks.
[00:23:21] Got to go feed the dogs.
[00:23:22] I do appreciate you.
