[00:00:03] You're listening to PBN, your path back to stability here

[00:00:11] How are you on this Saturday morning? That is right. I am a bit early so for my extra early birds

[00:01:25] Hello to you

[00:01:27] so

[00:01:28] It has been

[00:01:30] Interesting and the last week and a half to say the least I

[00:01:34] I would do it again, and I know that's horrible to say with the disaster. It was an experience we were

[00:01:44] Very blessed and fortunate and

[00:01:46] Protect protected by God and all these things when it comes down to it

[00:01:50] I am very thankful that all of our prayer that we were heard that we were protected

[00:01:56] So last weekend we had proper camp

[00:02:00] Prepper camp 2024 we had all heard that there was gonna be a hurricane Helene. I grew up in the mountains. I

[00:02:09] Am not a stranger to big storms. I grew up around tornadoes. I've been through three very close calls

[00:02:15] I've been through probably about six total

[00:02:18] but

[00:02:19] What gets me is never have I seen a hurricane

[00:02:24] pick up wind and

[00:02:26] Keep it as soon as it hit landfall that in its own was scary, but on top of that

[00:02:33] huge shout out to Rick and Jane for

[00:02:36] Having everything going huge love you guys

[00:02:40] Because you are amazing and for those of you who don't know

[00:02:45] We did not have any service or signal

[00:02:48] Yes

[00:02:48] We had someone who is kind enough to help us to use her internet so we could get messages out

[00:02:54] But things weren't coming in like you would think we had no clue what the devastation was or

[00:03:01] What the full impact is on the region?

[00:03:05] so

[00:03:05] Mind you people are want to be

[00:03:08] And I get that your feelings are in a certain place and in your right

[00:03:15] You have every right to feel the way you do but

[00:03:18] Please be mindful of the fact that we were on a mountain

[00:03:23] With no service with no way of leaving people hanging and Saturday was beautiful for us

[00:03:29] We had people who went out Friday and cleared the roads which someone else that told me I knew two locals had spoken to me

[00:03:36] And one came to prepper camp think death said if it hadn't been for us

[00:03:42] That the mountain wouldn't been touched till maybe one Monday or Tuesday at the earliest

[00:03:48] Someone else told me later after in fact apparently a woman was in labor

[00:03:52] And if it had been for them clearing the mountain

[00:03:55] Our group being there and clearing it she would have had to have delivered

[00:04:01] In a stressful situation

[00:04:03] Without medical aid on her own or with whomever she was there with

[00:04:08] Anyone who's had children anyone who's been around someone who's had children. I had four. I've had four children

[00:04:15] four deliveries and

[00:04:18] No matter how ready you think you are there is a little sense of unease during it because anything can happen during childbirth

[00:04:26] Anything I don't know if this was her first or her second or what?

[00:04:30] I don't know any information beyond that, but I am thankful that we were put in the place that we were in I

[00:04:38] Spoke to some locals on the way out

[00:04:43] Nate and Betsy just a shout out to y'all I did give them my information. I figure it'll be a little while before I hear back from him because

[00:04:51] The gentleman both live in different areas. He was given her right into town

[00:04:56] we had stopped just to try to see if we could grab some milk for our son and

[00:05:02] He said that he goes we were talking and I asked you know his opinions on

[00:05:08] Everything that was going on he goes. He's thankful for the people who are coming in from outside. He said

[00:05:14] Tourism has been probably one of the best things even during a point of disaster

[00:05:19] Because it is showing the camaraderie and the fact that people who don't know the area or know these people were still helping

[00:05:27] I asked him his views on the mountain

[00:05:30] He said he was actually thankful because he knew he had to cut his own trees out of his driveway

[00:05:35] But being able to get down the road and to check on the elderly couples that lived on that same mountain

[00:05:41] To be able to check on their friends and family

[00:05:44] It really helped and took some stress off of him

[00:05:47] He said he was then able to come down the mountain and even though he's not a part of emergency services

[00:05:53] He was given aid to him and he himself even said though he had no clue proper camp was going on

[00:06:00] that

[00:06:03] The mountain is one of the last places to get touched whether it's fault, you know fell trees

[00:06:09] Power lines water sources anything he said the mountain is the last one and they're always left for the last

[00:06:16] He he honestly in his opinion thought it would be much later in the week before they actually saw any sort of help

[00:06:21] So he was thankful for any help we had given

[00:06:24] So for those of you, you know a bunch of you didn't realize is a lot of us were already out there a lot of us were already

[00:06:33] Already in the area and I am thankful that we were because our group was able to provide some sort of aid

[00:06:40] I know the campground was thankful that they were able to move stuff off their shelves that

[00:06:46] Probably would have set there for quite a while. So they were they were thankful for the business

[00:06:52] so there are some positives to

[00:06:55] The negatives there. I am so sorry that people were hurt. I hate seeing that my heart goes out to him

[00:07:02] My prayers go out to him

[00:07:04] But I am thankful

[00:07:07] For us being as safe as we were that we were protected and that we were as high on a high ground as we were

[00:07:14] Because honestly, I think that played into a big factor of how we fared so well on that mountain in North Carolina

[00:07:24] Now what else we've been seeing is the Port Strite happen the Port Strite Port strike

[00:07:30] Happened for a few days. They they put it on hold till January

[00:07:35] Which goes to show you right there. They got a 62% increase in pay

[00:07:40] What gets you though is these folks are

[00:07:44] Waiting till after the election to see who's gonna do what to promote them and I'm gonna tell you this

[00:07:49] I saw a clip of Trump in North Carolina and they asked him

[00:07:55] What does this mean for your voters in the state? He goes it doesn't mean the damn thing

[00:08:00] He doesn't care about the votes

[00:08:01] He was there are people dead and people are missing and that's what the importance is

[00:08:06] Let's see if I can find it. It really

[00:08:10] Key to show that this isn't about the number of people that they can get to one side

[00:08:15] This is about the people that they can save and let me see if I can play it because it wouldn't let me

[00:08:20] share it

[00:08:39] See it goes to show

[00:08:42] You've got people out there doing the right thing

[00:08:45] You've got people out there who forget the voting. Yes, we know what's gonna happen

[00:08:51] But in this it's bringing a lot to light

[00:08:55] It is

[00:08:57] Showing

[00:08:57] Where's Kamala and Biden in this the fact that I am seeing reports from people in the area

[00:09:05] State in that FEMA now. I need to read you know verify this stuff

[00:09:10] This is what I'm hearing people saying is that FEMA is

[00:09:15] Is taking their goods their confidence skating things confidence skating supplies and money and

[00:09:22] A lot of these rescue individuals are being told that people bringing in goods are being told to drop it off at a federal female location

[00:09:30] Here is the problem with that

[00:09:33] The problem is FINA became an immigrant

[00:09:37] Safety net when Kamala was allowing all of these immigrants to come across the border

[00:09:42] Which used up so much money and now there's not enough money or aid or support for our own

[00:09:49] American citizens who are devastated

[00:09:53] Something's wrong y'all something's wrong

[00:09:57] So during this we saw some strain here on the east coast between the port strike and

[00:10:03] The disaster relief so all of our supplies

[00:10:08] Were going out to aid those individuals and those families. I'm not saying that's a bad thing

[00:10:14] I'm glad people were able to help

[00:10:17] I'm glad the port strike ended sooner because hopefully that means supplies will come back in

[00:10:22] But we you saw some terrifying shortages just in a few days no toilet paper and no water

[00:10:30] Little snow diapers absolutely no wet wipes

[00:10:34] Which I get I

[00:10:37] Completely understand but it does make it a strain. This is why we prep and I got to see my shortcomings on certain things because

[00:10:44] My prepping for the longest time

[00:10:46] Was for an adult and older age children. I now have a toddler or an infant whichever

[00:10:53] He's a toddler. I

[00:10:56] Have a very small child

[00:11:00] I'm starting all over so my preps have to change

[00:11:03] Have to adjust to my new way of living

[00:11:07] And I got to see firsthand some of my major

[00:11:11] Shortcomings and downfalls on what I need to fix

[00:11:17] I've you know had a parent my mother asked me well, what about potty training them?

[00:11:22] I'm not against potty training my son, but he's not ready every child shows that they're ready at a different point

[00:11:30] He's still having fun

[00:11:33] Yeah, he's too small to potty train now. I had a son who was his age who did potty train, but every child is different

[00:11:40] I've looked into a potty chair

[00:11:42] I did buy the first case of diapers

[00:11:44] I could get because mind you when we left for prepper camp like oh, okay, no biggie

[00:11:50] We'll just re-stock our supplies when we get back because it hit at the time of the month where I usually do a very large

[00:11:56] grocery trip for the month and

[00:11:58] Because the trip was coming off we decided to put it on hold because we didn't want to have all the stuff in the fridge and

[00:12:06] Typically what happens is is when I do a large grocery trip. I end up separating all the meat out vacuum-sill in it putting it away

[00:12:14] And that was just more

[00:12:17] Away from getting the last things ready for camp

[00:12:20] So that was my my big error number one was thinking it can wait

[00:12:27] Have you noticed that's usually the one time we kick ourselves in the ass is when we say it can wait

[00:12:34] It can wait and then something happens

[00:12:37] And it couldn't wait

[00:12:39] Now we are fortunate that things picked back up and are going to go back to a

[00:12:44] Relative normal, you know, we say that a lot. It's a new normal. It's relative

[00:12:52] It's chaos

[00:12:54] We just learned to adjust ourselves around the chaos to

[00:12:59] believe that it's all okay

[00:13:05] But is it and I say it like that because I'm not wanting to be a naysayer or have people worried but

[00:13:14] Is what we're doing enough? Okay, so this for me was a wake-up call of

[00:13:22] I need to go ahead and pull out my pressure canner and start pressure cannon

[00:13:26] I'm a huge shout out and thank you to my friends who I consider family and

[00:13:32] To my listeners who I consider family. I appreciate all of you who offered a help in hand

[00:13:37] When things were looking a little tough, I appreciate you and for those of you who did go a little further

[00:13:44] Thank you it

[00:13:47] Warmed my heart and brought a tear to my eye to know that was one less thing I had to worry about

[00:13:53] So thank you. I

[00:13:58] Love what we have here. I love PBN. I love my listeners my Instagram followers

[00:14:05] I love y'all because this is a family a network. I don't know all of you

[00:14:10] I am sure you don't know me beyond a voice on the radio and a face on the screen

[00:14:16] And that's okay because when times come about we take care of each other

[00:14:21] We look out for each other. I keep I just keep falling down rabbit holes

[00:14:31] I promise you I'm gonna get to a point eventually

[00:14:35] So what I realized is I need to work on my cannon. I need to

[00:14:41] Thank you to Joe rate JP and several other listeners who've been jumping on my live chats mylar

[00:14:48] I am actually going to place an order

[00:14:51] I do have to be strategic financially for us because the way things hit

[00:14:57] Did hit us in between on a little spot?

[00:15:02] So I will be getting into mylar been told that's great

[00:15:06] I'm gonna try it especially for our pastas because like I've spoken before we have a mold issue

[00:15:11] And it's only getting worse. So there's that we're dealing with it

[00:15:15] Life is throwing curveballs left and right and

[00:15:20] how we handle that

[00:15:23] really is

[00:15:24] What plays the largest factor?

[00:15:27] So we've got mylar I want to do work on my cannon

[00:15:32] Making sure my son's preps and needs are met

[00:15:37] So for example, I brought that case of diapers

[00:15:43] I've been told to hold on to the size four and go ahead and buy another three when they come in stock

[00:15:47] Which it probably should but today I am going to meet with a lady from Facebook Marketplace

[00:15:52] No worries not going alone public place

[00:15:55] But I have purchased some reusable adjustable

[00:16:01] diapers as a backup now

[00:16:03] When my son gets too big for diapers. Yes, I'll pass them on this. Oh, you know, give them to someone else or pass them on or however

[00:16:10] need be or

[00:16:13] Our future isn't set on

[00:16:15] Not having more children. So it's not you know what I mean? It's one of those okay

[00:16:20] I didn't know I was gonna start all over again

[00:16:22] But there's always that possibility

[00:16:26] so

[00:16:27] We have looked at

[00:16:31] His needs as far as bathroom needs

[00:16:34] We've looked at supplies in our house making sure that's that's another thing is there for a while

[00:16:40] I was keeping a supply list of what we had on the shelf

[00:16:44] What we hadn't what we had in total of each thing and I let that fall to the wayside

[00:16:50] I would like to have our supply list back because every time we take from the pantry. I went in there and realized

[00:16:56] Oh, I really let things get way below my

[00:17:00] Irregular minimum keeping that list knowing what you want to allow for your minimum

[00:17:06] Makes a big difference in how you prep how you grocery shop how you plan mills. That's another in plan mills

[00:17:13] Keep an open ledger as I call it. I did that for years

[00:17:17] Where I write out the finances where we're sitting at what cost what what's going to what?

[00:17:25] Yes, I am the primary bill sorter in the house

[00:17:30] But then this way if something comes up, you know my partner can be like hey

[00:17:36] I'd like to do this. Well take a look at the ledger. Yeah, do we have enough expenses towards this?

[00:17:42] What's going towards that?

[00:17:44] Is this something that we can hold off and take a little bit out of each check and put away for so we can assess it together?

[00:17:53] I

[00:17:53] Mean that's what a good partnership is is

[00:17:56] It's funny as my partner will tell you he doesn't care what I buy

[00:18:02] Because he trusts that I am going to be I

[00:18:06] Know where we are financially and he's accurate

[00:18:10] I am a

[00:18:12] stickler

[00:18:14] And I get buyer's guilt when I order things online

[00:18:18] Even if it's things we need I have to over rationalize for myself and he has to remind me it's okay. I don't mind

[00:18:26] oh

[00:18:35] so this weekend I was supposed to be at self-reliance festival in

[00:18:41] Camden, Tennessee and

[00:18:44] Once everything happened the way it did and we're still

[00:18:49] Not us in Myrtle Beach, but right outside of us and further inland in North Carolina and Tennessee

[00:18:55] We're still real in from this

[00:18:57] People there are roads that are still not quite open

[00:19:01] There are bridges that are still down. There are areas that are just still completely decimated

[00:19:10] And the thing is is the route I was gonna take would put me at 10-hour drive

[00:19:15] Yes, I do show alternative routes, but I don't know that route like I know other routes and

[00:19:22] I had to back out unfortunately because it was too much of a risk for the safety of myself

[00:19:28] And way too much of a risk for the safety of my son because he travels with me anywhere. I go he goes

[00:19:34] We camp together. Yes, he's little and that's that was my my concern is financially

[00:19:42] Finding places for gas

[00:19:45] Well fine gas cost because I know some places are gouging

[00:19:49] Being able to find a place for gas

[00:19:52] Knowing that the road I'm driving on is safe and then a 10-hour drive being even longer

[00:19:59] So I really had to take into play our safety and the risk and the risk just did not outweigh the

[00:20:07] Reward now. Hopefully miss Nicole. I appreciate you so much will consider me for next year

[00:20:13] I would love to be able to be a part of that just this year

[00:20:17] All the cards just didn't didn't land the way they should have I see a couple people in check

[00:20:26] Good morning Hatter. Good morning mad dog

[00:20:39] so

[00:20:40] Even though ports are opened back up because the things overseas things here locally

[00:20:55] Are going to play a roll. Sorry I checked my security camera and he's

[00:21:05] Smacking a shoe with a bottle. Okay

[00:21:10] Good morning JB

[00:21:13] Golden goddess look at you

[00:21:16] Hey Stumpfield

[00:21:17] But it is it is interesting the fact that people don't realize

[00:21:26] How easily everything can be affected so prepping broadcast a network, right?

[00:21:33] PBN

[00:21:34] We defined prepper for the longest time is anything preparing

[00:21:40] Is anything is prepping is for preparing for anything that could alter effect or derail your everyday

[00:21:47] way of living

[00:21:50] Your everyday way of living and you know what?

[00:21:57] It doesn't take much to derail that

[00:21:59] it doesn't

[00:22:01] That storm decimated areas, but lesser storms have done

[00:22:07] Derailed everything as well

[00:22:10] Port strike

[00:22:12] Derailed your way of living

[00:22:15] war

[00:22:17] Derails your way of living if this is not an eye-opening

[00:22:23] Experience or an eye-opening event. I don't know what to tell you

[00:22:30] If you're not already prepping

[00:22:33] Yeah, don't wait till tomorrow

[00:22:35] Don't even if it

[00:22:38] Prepping does not have to be a money pet. It doesn't I've done it when

[00:22:45] Money was very scarce, but you make it work

[00:22:48] Your family becomes the most important

[00:22:53] investment you can ever make

[00:22:56] It's an investment in their happiness and their life

[00:23:01] It's an investment in having full bellies and at and keeping everyone safe

[00:23:08] It is an investment that is worth putting into oh

[00:23:16] That's right that no good morning, darling

[00:23:18] The first X7 CME is late and should combine with X9 and hit tonight

[00:23:23] Which right there I meant to mention that thank you that now I was I had that on here

[00:23:29] But I've gone down the rabbit hole in the other stuff

[00:23:32] They too was it the two largest CMEs that could potentially hit us are gonna hit tonight

[00:23:38] They have the potential to be

[00:23:43] To wipe things out, right?

[00:23:46] Yes, thank you JB

[00:23:48] Knowledge is the most valuable prep and it doesn't cost money exactly

[00:23:53] Know-in in teaching these skills. That's I think that's why I enjoy going to these events

[00:23:59] Prepper camp I will always go to as long as Rick and Jane have it going on and thereafter

[00:24:04] I will be there and

[00:24:07] But I also enjoy going to these other events because I enjoy teaching not everybody is thrilled about fiber and

[00:24:15] Textiles, but my class is more than just fibers and textiles

[00:24:21] Had her cutting up Roma tomatoes and freeze-drying them for future fresh spaghetti sauce exactly see same with JB it is

[00:24:30] One of those things where even now we're doing something. I had a lady

[00:24:36] Come to me at prepper camp who is

[00:24:41] She stays she's legally blind sweetest woman ever and I didn't have a certain type of wool hat

[00:24:47] Which if she's listening I am getting that made now and we'll have it out this this coming week for you

[00:24:54] But yeah, so she went ahead paid gave shipping address everything her name and

[00:25:00] I will have that out in the mail to her this week

[00:25:03] And it was nice to know that someone was fine with waiting because she said it would probably take her about that long

[00:25:09] To even get home. So God bless her

[00:25:12] But it is I

[00:25:16] My phone up

[00:25:19] Okay, but it is great to see that Hatter is freeze-drying food for future use

[00:25:28] I know JB is always doing something. Okay. Here we go with that nub

[00:25:32] I am going to give a shout out for this. Okay for those of you in the American readout

[00:25:37] I will have a booth at the Panhandle preparedness Expo of 2024

[00:25:42] Sandpoint Idaho, Idaho. Yes today and tomorrow come say what up though

[00:25:47] so if anyone is in the great American readout and in the area for the Panhandle preparedness Expo

[00:25:56] Go say hi to that nub. He did send a link if you are an element

[00:26:01] If you are not an element and you want to check it out. It's panhandle prep

[00:26:05] Org

[00:26:07] All right one more time panhandle prep

[00:26:11] Dot org so for those of you in that area go check it out

[00:26:16] That's just that these events are going on everywhere. I think there's the Georgia bushcraft is

[00:26:24] Coming up the I

[00:26:28] Sent one to one of my listeners for the one in Alabama

[00:26:33] It's an April the

[00:26:36] Self-reliance home heritage and homes

[00:26:41] Jeff is gonna get me for that one

[00:26:45] Heartlands sorry

[00:26:46] The Heartland self-reliance

[00:26:54] Conference will be in Millsburg, Ohio in May next year tickets are on sale now

[00:27:00] So that is something to take a look at tickets are on sell

[00:27:08] Let's see and black Friday tickets for prepper camp go on sale. I wish I could get out there

[00:27:13] But I'm carless at the yes, that's right for JB for those of you who don't know

[00:27:18] JB has probably had the most

[00:27:21] thrilling

[00:27:24] Adventure out of all of us and girl you killed it

[00:27:32] Yeah, I think that is one where we need to have you on so you can just really tell folks

[00:27:38] What you did because you were impressive and never lost

[00:27:43] any bit of energy or enthusiasm the entire time so

[00:27:51] Yeah, you're pretty pretty freaking awesome girl

[00:27:58] But that's just it is we see these situations

[00:28:02] And we take them with stride

[00:28:06] We handle them as they come about

[00:28:10] People at camp

[00:28:12] You know just a prime example of emergency could have started panicking and screaming and crying and

[00:28:19] Saying not me. I'm out, but no, what did we do? We band together

[00:28:25] We formed groups

[00:28:27] Guys and gals went together and went out

[00:28:30] I know Sarah Hathaway and her family ended up on their way out borrown a chainsaw with

[00:28:35] A few other people and clear in the road even more to make a bigger passage for people

[00:28:42] With trailers or RVs to be able to get around

[00:28:47] so

[00:28:50] We didn't give up and in the nice weather. We did have a turnout

[00:28:54] We did have of vendors and we did have classes and

[00:29:00] We paired together so that first day Friday morning

[00:29:03] It was pouring rain and we knew it was gonna be rainy

[00:29:10] and so

[00:29:12] Was it Friday or Thursday?

[00:29:14] It was one of those mornings. I pulled out. I think I think it was

[00:29:18] Maybe been Friday. I know it was Friday. I

[00:29:21] Pulled out my cooktop took it up to the pavilion and I just started cooking every bit of breakfast

[00:29:26] I had in my my cooler

[00:29:29] Not because I was trying to run ourselves short on food

[00:29:31] But because of the fact that being wet and hungry can be miserable

[00:29:37] But being wet with a full belly is doable

[00:29:41] so I was cooking it up trying to feed people offer an orange juice offering what I had because

[00:29:49] Yeah, why not why not take care of the people around me why not do something I

[00:29:58] Mean it was porn my son was unfazed

[00:30:00] Love that kid for those of you who haven't met him or haven't had the chance to meet him yet

[00:30:07] The kid is really a calm kid. He does not freak out or panic unless you irritate him

[00:30:14] Elsewise, yeah, he was enjoying sitting there eating great mood unfazed by the whole thing. I

[00:30:22] Have to tell you it was something to behold that kid is a tough little shit

[00:30:26] but alright and let me jump to a

[00:30:33] commercial break and

[00:30:36] Then I'll get right back at it

[00:30:39] there's anything you would like to

[00:30:41] Have said on air or throw along with the chat

[00:30:44] Feel free for those of you who are listening and you're catching this on the replay and you're not in the group chat

[00:30:51] Please join come to element. We've got some great things going on half the conversation

[00:30:56] Half the show is the chat itself. Alright folks. I will be right back

[00:31:01] On the brink of blackouts again as power demand reached an all-time record high overnight

[00:31:08] slivers of the golden state plunged into darkness

[00:31:15] He's scheduled outage on Thursday, but the one that happened Sunday it wasn't scheduled it was unexpected and it lasted longer than a day

[00:31:22] Point zero energy has given me the American tested

[00:31:27] American assembled

[00:31:29] Reliable solar backup that I've been looking for their Titan solar generator is American ingenuity at its finest with a removable

[00:31:38] Expandable lithium-ion battery

[00:31:40] 2000 watt hour

[00:31:41] 3000 watt high efficiency inverter. So what does all that mean to you?

[00:31:46] It means the Titan can charge your smartphone for 88 hours your laptop for 35 hours a CPAP for

[00:31:53] 108 hours your refrigerator for 26.8 hours

[00:31:57] Get to point zero energy calm today for the all-american solution to backup power

[00:32:08] You're listening to PBN your path back to stability

[00:32:16] Welcome to the podcast

[00:32:52] Present your vaccine passport

[00:32:56] Enter your social credit schooler and be sure

[00:32:59] You have enough remaining carbon credits to enjoy today's show

[00:33:11] That is right

[00:33:15] so

[00:33:16] All of this has happened right and I I've been keeping lives going on on

[00:33:21] Instagram, so if you're not on Instagram

[00:33:24] Follow me at Phoenix dash

[00:33:27] Phoenix dash survival. It is Phoenix underscore survival

[00:33:35] I am on Instagram. I have been doing more lives on there just to give updates because it is a quick go-to for me I

[00:33:44] I

[00:33:45] I plan on showing me and making videos of when I start doing the mylar my cannon

[00:33:52] I've even thought about putting together a video of how I make my homemade mayonnaise because

[00:33:57] Why not why not share this write it down?

[00:34:01] Make it easier for other individuals as well

[00:34:04] but for me it was

[00:34:06] It is a huge motivator now. Yes, the

[00:34:11] Eroquo threat of certain things is eased up, but they're not gone

[00:34:16] They're never gone

[00:34:18] I still I'm still looking into as a friend mentioned on Instagram winter harvesting or winter sewing. I

[00:34:27] Am looking into what I can do about growing indoors, which these are all things I've mentioned over past but

[00:34:35] You know you end up letting it fall to the wayside and it's now one of those okay

[00:34:42] I have to get off my heiny and and do it because my family's needs and safety are

[00:34:51] number one in

[00:34:53] This house making sure that I can feed my family making sure that I can protect my family and I say I

[00:35:00] But not just myself that Chris and I can take care of each other that we can take care of my son

[00:35:06] We can take care of our son. I'm sorry and

[00:35:09] My older three children if they are with us when crisis hits

[00:35:15] So it is making sure as a family unit that we can function and fend for ourselves

[00:35:22] When disaster strikes

[00:35:24] Because the thing is is even though at the moment

[00:35:29] The risk may be low

[00:35:32] It is never zero

[00:35:36] It's number zero and I think that's just it is regardless of what that percentage is

[00:35:41] we keep prepping and

[00:35:43] We find that those preps have saved us during financial strife

[00:35:48] During a disaster during an emergency situation

[00:35:53] during a

[00:35:55] Who knows what we've all been through something where we found our prepping has given us a

[00:36:02] Breath of fresh air a moment to relax

[00:36:07] Is that not still in here? He may still be at work. I

[00:36:11] Was gonna say I wanted to know a little bit more on those CMEs

[00:36:15] This is where and we need Sarah and that love and chin in here

[00:36:23] It's just

[00:36:25] I'm not gonna give up on prepping. I'm not gonna stop I

[00:36:31] Am

[00:36:32] Ah, there you are darlin, do you know anymore on the?

[00:36:38] CME

[00:36:42] What the potential is what the risk is I am not as savvy on that I have watched it

[00:36:49] I do get NASA updates and weather updates on solar flares and everything else, but I am still very

[00:36:58] Nobis to the whole thing even though I've been following them for years

[00:37:02] And that here's another thing people didn't realize and please let this be

[00:37:11] Awakened in moment, but

[00:37:14] medications are greatly affected affected by port strikes

[00:37:20] medications are greatly affected by

[00:37:24] Natural disasters and war and your medications will take a hit

[00:37:31] Especially if you require life-threatening medic, you know life-saving medications or anything else I

[00:37:38] Here it is the largest of this Sun cycle

[00:37:41] Right. I saw that

[00:37:43] What is the?

[00:37:46] Risk assessment that they're putting forth though like

[00:37:50] imminent

[00:37:51] guaranteed

[00:37:53] likely

[00:37:54] Low likelihood of hitting us so on and so forth

[00:38:05] Things are always gonna be coming at us and like I said how we handle that

[00:38:11] Really determined so much

[00:38:14] Like I said when when the storm hit

[00:38:18] We we were all calm, I mean I'm sure there were some fears

[00:38:23] I was calm

[00:38:25] Okay, here we go the CME that hit a few months ago that made everyone see the northern lights was a lot smaller

[00:38:31] It is going to hit. Okay, so hitting is a guarantee

[00:38:36] Norse in northern lights is not a good thing especially here in the southern region

[00:38:45] Does that mean we will see the southern lights northern lights tonight

[00:38:53] If it's not cloudy here

[00:39:00] It is just interesting because a CME for those who don't know what it is. It's a

[00:39:08] chronal mass ejection

[00:39:11] What that entails is it is a large flare coming off of the Sun it can

[00:39:20] It can affect

[00:39:22] The electrical grid

[00:39:25] It can actually knock out

[00:39:28] Several things it has the potential

[00:39:37] Okay, here we go he even sent a list

[00:39:41] With the first one hitting so close to the second one is bad you should see them

[00:39:46] Okay, so we should be able to see the northern lights tonight for those of you who don't know he added a YouTube link in here

[00:39:54] Which I am

[00:39:56] Going to pull up so I can take a quick look see

[00:40:03] Yes, it says it's arriving today new plan which another thing these

[00:40:09] Events do affect more than just an electrical current system it can affect of the tides

[00:40:16] It would affect I

[00:40:19] Would unplug everything that you were currently not using today fair enough

[00:40:24] Because if it is connected it could cause a short it could cause let's pull this up. Oh, yeah, because this is considered

[00:40:33] I literally just typed in CME solar flare into my search and it says a monster

[00:40:41] X-class flare launches solar storm towards earth

[00:40:47] The northern lights sitans are possible as huge solar flares are spotted

[00:40:52] This will be the biggest solar flare since 2017 erupts from Sun and Earth is in the line of fire

[00:41:02] Northern lights expect it to return to the UK skies this weekend

[00:41:06] maps of northern lights

[00:41:08] Forecast with us states could see or the aurora Boree Alice this weekend and

[00:41:15] People are gonna see these beautiful lights, but that's not

[00:41:17] The concern the concern is how does these do these flares?

[00:41:23] affect our earth

[00:41:24] How could it potentially affect us? Oh, okay, so

[00:41:31] All right, I'm gonna just read this for those of you who want to see the northern lights

[00:41:35] It says what time will the northern lights be visible tonight?

[00:41:39] The northern lights can be seen just after sunset and just before sunrise

[00:41:44] But it is best to go out at night and away from city lights

[00:41:48] The center recommends viewing the northern lights between 10 p.m. And 2 p.m. Local time according to the center

[00:41:56] CBS

[00:41:57] The best times of the year to see the aurora Boree Alice is around the spring and fall equinox

[00:42:03] So right at just after sunset and just before sunrise is when you should be able to see those I

[00:42:13] Would suggest down in oh, I would suggest down in the app called Aurora is shit

[00:42:21] It will show you if you will be able to see the northern lights and what the KP index is

[00:42:27] Okay

[00:42:29] Aurora

[00:42:31] See this man knows everything. This is why I adore him. He's been a part of this network for years

[00:42:36] I can find my app store. We're gonna do this while I have you now

[00:42:43] Because you know why not let's

[00:42:50] All right, let's see here. Um, so

[00:43:09] Strong solar storms warning issued as 2 CMEs will hit the earth tomorrow

[00:43:14] Trying to see if it will tell me

[00:43:24] What the risk assessment is for these two it's not it's because everything just wants to give the news that there is

[00:43:31] Gonna be one

[00:43:32] But y'all these are the types of events that we see can take out

[00:43:38] the power can

[00:43:44] Hey that now I have one that pops up it says my aurora forecast and alerts

[00:43:51] But no, these are things that have a potential for effect in the electrical grid

[00:43:57] These strong enough storms can

[00:44:00] Downpower a lot of things. There's a reason why as technology grows

[00:44:09] The pieces that they use for technology in modern times become more and more sensitive much smaller more delicate

[00:44:16] So that's why you see in books and movies

[00:44:21] items that

[00:44:22] would have survived a

[00:44:24] EMP

[00:44:26] Do find because of the fact that they are made with heartier

[00:44:31] items, they are a

[00:44:34] Much heavier component than they are now

[00:44:40] Everyone should subscribe to at suspicious observers on YouTube daily report on the Sun. Oh

[00:44:47] Good morning, I see great to have you he says he is the maker of my nightmare. I think you mean suspicious observers

[00:44:55] Yes, that is definitely an interest in one

[00:45:00] but

[00:45:00] But be aware so even though the port strike has ended

[00:45:06] Even though we have supplies coming back in

[00:45:09] What happens if that CME is?

[00:45:14] strong enough to take down the power grid

[00:45:17] What happens

[00:45:19] When that becomes the next thing you have to worry about

[00:45:26] There is always yep, that's the one I uploaded to

[00:45:29] There's always gonna be that potential or risk for something to potentially happen

[00:45:34] Like I said, I posted on on Instagram showed what the ports had

[00:45:41] temporarily paused until January 15th. They think it is and

[00:45:45] It goes to show you there is always gonna be something else coming around the corner

[00:45:52] This is why we prep

[00:45:54] We prep to make sure we're ready for those punches that are gonna get thrown at us that we just

[00:46:03] Don't have any actual understanding that could happen

[00:46:07] This is why we do what we do we prep we prepare we get ready

[00:46:12] We be ready tough times are always gonna be coming in tough times are always gonna be here

[00:46:18] Not everyone experiences it the same

[00:46:21] Not everyone has the same outcome as

[00:46:25] James has put it for myself

[00:46:27] We all have our own personal

[00:46:29] Apocalypses that we have to deal with while the world is still spinning

[00:46:36] Be ready for both your personal apocalypse and any other apocalypse that may may be forecoming

[00:46:45] I'm sure those that are going through the disaster

[00:46:49] Felt like it was an apocalyptic moment and it still is

[00:46:54] we

[00:46:57] We actually ran into a young woman when we stopped to throw a tarp over the top stuff on top of our car

[00:47:04] Because we knew we were gonna be running into some spotty storms and this young woman beautiful young woman

[00:47:10] I mean beautiful young red-headed college girl age

[00:47:14] I would I would assume college age at early 20s beautiful young woman stops and she

[00:47:21] Approaches me, you know of course, you know in groups around a bunch of men women are more comfortable approaching women

[00:47:28] And she says do they have any gas here? We stopped at a gas station. We knew had no power

[00:47:34] When this was on our way out from camp we were past Spartanburg. We were probably

[00:47:41] What 30 minutes

[00:47:44] Well, they're probably about 30 miles from not even that from Columbia

[00:47:49] Columbia wasn't too far out because we didn't stop and actually refill until we got past Columbia

[00:47:54] which shout out to

[00:47:56] Preppers because we ran out of gas with the way we came in

[00:48:00] late no gas stations were open and

[00:48:03] Luckily a few people topped us off with some of their gas cams. So thank y'all

[00:48:07] But this young woman approached asking about gas

[00:48:11] I was like, I don't think so and I was making a comment to Christopher to ask the gentleman in the truck

[00:48:16] And she just walked straight up and started asking him and

[00:48:22] What got me was Christopher had made a comment of well the gas stations are only taking cash and

[00:48:30] This young woman goes well. I've got plenty of cash

[00:48:34] right there sent off

[00:48:36] kind of a

[00:48:37] Eek

[00:48:38] Now on a chat chalkboard reaction for myself and Christopher and

[00:48:44] There was another group of gentlemen and I just shout out and I saw they were changing out like leaf blowers and heavy equipment to

[00:48:51] Each of their vehicles and I asked is there a gas station?

[00:48:55] Less than nine miles from here. Where's the next gas station?

[00:48:59] Because the young woman even told us. Oh, I only have nine miles left. I'm on E

[00:49:05] And I'm like, okay

[00:49:07] well

[00:49:08] found out the gas stations three miles down the way and

[00:49:12] She goes, I don't know if I can make I said you can make three miles

[00:49:14] Just turn your gas off while you're in line because she at first thing she asked is there a line?

[00:49:19] Of course, there's gonna be a line and we when we passed that gas station

[00:49:23] There was a hell of a line, but at least if you're gonna break down

[00:49:27] You're gonna break down here a gas station

[00:49:29] somebody can help

[00:49:31] But as we were driving past and I looked at the gas station he and I looked at each other and I said that was stupid

[00:49:39] And he goes the money comment. Yes

[00:49:42] Yeah, but the thing is in situations. Yes people get drawn together to help

[00:49:47] But there are more people out there to hurt now. Mind you this was right after a disaster so people aren't

[00:49:54] on their toes

[00:49:56] At a level that they should be I first said I

[00:50:03] Would have never said I had plenty of cash

[00:50:06] If you're gonna announce you have cash be like I've got I've got 20 bucks to get me gas fine. Whatever no one

[00:50:12] Tap technically if they're looking for money, they're not gonna rob you based on the fact

[00:50:17] that you have

[00:50:20] They're gonna go for where they can get more right

[00:50:23] But her also admitting that she's traveling by herself and there's no one nearby

[00:50:29] Really kind of really solidified y'all in these disasters

[00:50:34] I'm not telling you to not trust people, but I am telling you to not trust people

[00:50:39] it is one of those things where as

[00:50:43] Especially a pretty young woman or a woman in general or you have children or whatever

[00:50:51] You need to take more caution and how you handle these emergency situations

[00:50:57] You need to think about your safety and be like yeah, I have someone

[00:51:00] But you know, I'm just trying to make sure I get enough gas so they don't have to you know

[00:51:04] I mean just I'm in communication. There are other ways you can go about it versus

[00:51:09] Openly admitting that you are vulnerable you have money and you are a target

[00:51:17] right

[00:51:18] right

[00:51:20] Okay, so I'm gonna go to the chat I did get distracted

[00:51:27] So into what I just said JB said

[00:51:32] Most of the dude, okay, you know what let's go up and then we'll get down to it

[00:51:36] So that now posted the app he says it will cause it in the CME will cause interruptions and satellites

[00:51:42] GPS ham radios internet and website cause fires at substations and power outages in some areas

[00:51:50] This is the best case scenario

[00:51:53] Hatter states we prepped for the grid going down for an extended amount of time this kind of purpose prepping encompasses almost everything

[00:52:00] I agree. I was looking at ordering

[00:52:04] Wanting to get myself a jackery, but I wanted to wait till past this weekend because the last thing I want to do is spend

[00:52:09] money order something and

[00:52:12] JB says most of the digital readers have about a 20 mile cushion same

[00:52:17] So this made her cringe me talking about the young lady

[00:52:20] She goes some people don't have the common sense and desperate times and do desperate things exactly and

[00:52:27] The first thing I said is all she needed because she was beautiful and she was small and she was vulnerable

[00:52:33] that

[00:52:33] One guy or any person with any sort of ill and sick intention could he easily take an advantage of her

[00:52:40] Could have easily overpowered her and hurt her

[00:52:44] And I tell you what it you set yourself up

[00:52:47] To be vulnerable and that number even says how much cash you should carry with you at times at all times

[00:52:54] He likes to take a minimum of 400 when I go on trips to take at least a thousand

[00:52:58] So that number unfortunately, we don't have that kind of cushion here

[00:53:01] It's usually a couple anywhere from two to four hundred dollars cash if I'm able

[00:53:06] but I always make sure I have currency or cash on me and

[00:53:10] And usually in relatively smaller bills five tens twenties

[00:53:15] But yes cash is something I always take on a trip

[00:53:18] Going out to collect rent from the chickens now had her great good luck on that

[00:53:23] Let us know how much rent you collect it because mine are not paying rent at all yet

[00:53:28] Maybe I shouldn't said that I'm pretty I

[00:53:31] Am pretty but so is my pistol. I should be okay that love. I absolutely love you

[00:53:36] So that is something else we always carry

[00:53:38] I always have one on my person one near me and one easily accessible if I can't get either though

[00:53:45] So there's always three within my vicinity

[00:53:48] Hey garden girl. It's alright the party is still going. I haven't called it quits yet today may go over an hour

[00:53:53] We'll see

[00:53:55] But it goes to show you must be aware and vigilant that even though I

[00:54:00] May be a kind face. I am a very small petite woman. I look very approachable

[00:54:06] I've been told I look very sweet. Yes for those who know me. I know you're laughing

[00:54:11] But for just outward appearances before my mouth opens I

[00:54:17] Have had people say I look like I am prissy or I could be easily bullied

[00:54:22] I've had that happen quite a bit where people try to because of my size and my stature in my appearance

[00:54:30] And what had me concerned is even though I look approachable and sweet

[00:54:35] This young woman had no clue if I had ill intentions or not if I wanted to take her money and what she had in her car

[00:54:42] I could have

[00:54:43] That's not me though

[00:54:45] But that is one of those things where she has to has to be more aware of

[00:54:51] Her surroundings people get so looped in into

[00:54:54] Their cell phones and their electronic romance and whatever else is going on and when I say electronic romance

[00:55:00] I mean falling in love with technology

[00:55:04] Versus being aware of what the world is really like because in one of these situations

[00:55:09] She can't pull out her phone and start recording. She needs to protect herself

[00:55:12] She needs to defend herself and men like to we're seeing gas stations that are

[00:55:19] Just ripping people off for $10 a gallon so these are things that I

[00:55:24] Can't happen like the older gentleman who pulled up and spoke to us afterwards very sweet gentleman

[00:55:30] Was telling him about the sedans on the iPhone

[00:55:32] Someone had told me sent to me that iPhones iPhone 14 or newer can be set on satellite mode

[00:55:39] Gave him the instructions on that he took a picture of that so he could do that with his phone later

[00:55:44] He was working with the power system. He actually was being called back from one area to a different area

[00:55:51] so

[00:55:53] But just because he looks like a sweet older gentleman didn't mean he is

[00:55:58] Perception our appearances can be deceiving

[00:56:04] I could make myself appear very sweet and innocent and vulnerable vulnerable, but if I need it to be I don't have to be

[00:56:14] That no it is hard for us beautiful people yes, yes so hard I

[00:56:21] Have the face for radio. This is why I do it

[00:56:25] Yes

[00:56:27] JB that's why I travel with a gun it is my equalizer absolutely. I am a very small petite woman I

[00:56:35] Against a

[00:56:36] 5 foot 10 or taller man

[00:56:39] I am going to potentially be at a very very low end of just a physical battle of winning that I

[00:56:49] Love

[00:56:51] My guns I know how to use my guns

[00:56:55] I am not scared to pull my gun in a situation that calls it

[00:57:00] That is the one thing is do not be afraid of your weapon have enough fear to respect it

[00:57:06] But have enough strength and courage in yourself to know when the right time is to use it

[00:57:11] Using it out of anger does not get you anywhere

[00:57:14] But using it out of self-preservation out of protecting yourself and your family are the right calls

[00:57:22] So know your own ability how you can use your weapon when to use your weapon and know that if you have to make that call

[00:57:31] And you are being threatened or put in a situation where you have to

[00:57:36] Do not hate yourself for making a decision because I promise you that other person's choice that they had already made

[00:57:44] Before you had to make that decision

[00:57:48] Was going to be putting you on the lower end you were gonna be hurt

[00:57:52] You're gonna be raped. You're gonna be robbed. You're gonna be killed. You could be any of those things

[00:57:58] You taking a man's life in order to save your own

[00:58:01] Does not make you a lesser person if anything I give you more kudos and strength for protecting yourself a

[00:58:08] Lot of these people feel guilty and feel bad and that is the human in you

[00:58:13] We don't want to take a human life. I don't want to take a human life

[00:58:18] But if I have to I will make that call

[00:58:23] And I will not regret my decision for protecting myself or my others

[00:58:27] Oh, that is adorable

[00:58:34] So for those of you who are not in chat garden girl posted that her in laws play santa every year

[00:58:38] But he's also packing the rest of your they are

[00:58:41] Adorable and you know what? He looks like one of those sweet old men

[00:58:47] Who's just an absolute sweetheart who's always trying to hand you one of those weathers?

[00:58:51] caramel candies or butterscotch candies and

[00:58:55] That is phenomenal

[00:58:58] So that now states I was listening to a podcast and the guy said if you were listening to this and you cannot reach your gun

[00:59:04] You are wrong from that day on I it is always within arms reach

[00:59:09] You know, it's funny that you state that that note because I work from home

[00:59:13] I work remote and I work at a desk and yes, I keep my

[00:59:17] Window I keep I keep myself positioned at my front window where I can see I do have security cameras

[00:59:24] But I always keep a pistol in reach literally if I have to reach down I can grab it because

[00:59:31] Running across the room or having to run downstairs to grab it

[00:59:35] Does me no good does my family no good?

[00:59:40] So I absolutely agree with that podcaster that if it is not if you cannot reach and reach it

[00:59:48] Then you are wrong

[00:59:52] Yeah, I

[00:59:54] Absolutely believe you should be able to have one very accessible very accessible

[00:59:59] Hence why I also believe in teaching your gun your children about gun safety the proper rules the way to handle

[01:00:07] We're not to handle that guns are not toys like I've said when I had a family affair

[01:00:12] What we did with our children is even nerf guns were treated like real guns if we taught them the proper use of even a toy

[01:00:20] Then they understood what it meant when they handled a real one

[01:00:25] That was our decision. That's not for everyone

[01:00:28] That's just how we worked and that's how I work and I want my children to understand both the dangers of a gun

[01:00:36] The how unique and fascinating they are but not to put themselves at risk guns are very useful

[01:00:42] Device for protection guns are great for feeding your family when you have to hunt

[01:00:48] Guns are there for a reason. They're not toys and that was something we taught our children and we're gonna teach our son now

[01:00:57] No garden girl says he is that person. I want him to come up and give me a piece of weather

[01:01:03] butterscotch

[01:01:03] I missed that you don't see that

[01:01:10] Shit, I won't even let a kid paint point a fake gun at me some of their parents thinks I'm crazy. No

[01:01:16] Absolutely, JB. I'm giving you a pause right now because I am the same way

[01:01:22] I don't care if it is a toy

[01:01:25] If you were teaching your children properly, there is a time and place

[01:01:32] Yeah, I'm sorry. I 100% agree with you. I

[01:01:37] Agree

[01:01:39] Now there are times when you tell kids okay, this is a toy

[01:01:42] But once they've learned the basis of gun rules, I

[01:01:46] Absolutely agree with you

[01:01:49] I remember years ago my son came home because he had had a verbal argument with a kid in school over

[01:01:59] Proper gun use and

[01:02:02] He's like mom this kid was arguing with me and it was one of those times where I had explained to my son

[01:02:09] He was right

[01:02:11] But sometimes it's easier just to let the person argue themselves into a corner

[01:02:16] Then try to fight with him because a person who is set on their ways being wrong

[01:02:21] You can't change him. You can't educate him

[01:02:24] So it was one of those things where he told him

[01:02:26] Literally, he told me that day he told him well you're doing it wrong

[01:02:30] But if that's the way you want to do it fine and he took the high road versus sitting there arguing with someone over something stupid

[01:02:36] He he he was right and I told him he was right and he was right for making the call to them. Well

[01:02:45] okay and

[01:02:46] this day I still worry that kids can end up either shooting himself or shooting someone else not my son the other child because of

[01:02:52] being taught how to miss

[01:02:55] mishandling a weapon and

[01:02:57] even while hunting

[01:02:59] Such an easy mistake you can make that can cost you or someone else their life or serious injury

[01:03:09] The whole group is typing now. I'm excited see you and we're on a subject. We can all agree with

[01:03:18] I'm not gonna lie

[01:03:19] I'm probably not gonna be on here too much longer because I'm I am actually starting to get hungry this morning

[01:03:25] And I've got to run a few errands before I go pick up those diapers

[01:03:29] But I'm I am thankful to be here with you guys

[01:03:33] Our boys always get excited when my hubby takes out a weapon

[01:03:36] But he uses it as a teacher moment reminds them how to hold where to point and lets them try absolutely

[01:03:44] Absolutely. So that was the thing is teaching my children proper

[01:03:48] gun control proper weapon management

[01:03:51] the rules around

[01:03:53] such things and

[01:03:55] All of my children were taught to be able to shoot all the weapons I have in my house

[01:04:00] Now where when my ex-husband and I were together our weapons our kids could handle now my youngest child

[01:04:06] She was probably five the first time she shot

[01:04:08] She had to do it with assistance and that's the proper way to do it

[01:04:12] I held her hands her father held her hands when she shot and that was so she

[01:04:16] Understood the power of those weapons that she had touched my family was all for it

[01:04:23] All right, here we go when baby girl was little I brought I bought her a BB gun

[01:04:27] I taught her firearm safety then made her carry it while in the house as if it was loaded after three months of carrying that thing around

[01:04:35] She is not careless at all. Absolutely. I think that's fantastic

[01:04:40] Fantastic because even BB guns and pellet guns can be dangerous if not fatal or deadly

[01:04:46] On how they're handled. I think that was probably great for you to do

[01:04:51] Probably one thing that I will consider doing with our son as well

[01:04:56] That's why the focus on you thing is

[01:04:59] Favorite way to spell people. Ha. Oh, gotcha. Okay. I'm gonna read this on air. Thank God. I put mine as explicit

[01:05:07] That's why the focus on you thing is my favorite way to tell people to

[01:05:15] FOC

[01:05:18] Okay, so I'm gonna just read it for focus

[01:05:22] It means

[01:05:24] Fuck off cuz you're stupid. I

[01:05:27] Love you JB. See that is hilarious. I am definitely heartened that

[01:05:33] but yeah, so

[01:05:36] It just goes to show you've got to be aware

[01:05:38] You've got to teach because nobody else is learning the amount of ignorance and misinformation out there is

[01:05:46] astounding

[01:05:48] Astounding

[01:05:52] Okay, see you that knob. Have a good one

[01:05:56] He's got a pistol shower

[01:05:58] Yeah, we've talked about that when keeping a waterproof case right next to it. So that's funny

[01:06:03] But alright folks, I think I am gonna wind it up myself

[01:06:06] I do need to feed myself in a little and then get our errands going but I appreciate you for being here
