[00:01:55] the sun is out the world is looking good and I'm moments away myself from a good run

[00:02:00] of prepper fit in health. I wanted to talk to you guys about fitness and the imperative

[00:02:09] that is fitness. You know this over the years this has become much more it's become

[00:02:17] much more accepted in the prepping world and that's great. It really I mean it's

[00:02:22] wonderful when I first got into this thing people used to really get down on me about

[00:02:28] Oh they used to really get down on me about my preparedness focus. I'm sorry my fitness

[00:02:35] focus in prepping. Sorry I got a little excited because I see the first red strawberry of the

[00:02:42] season starting to get ready anyway right on. You know denying the fact that I'm

[00:02:52] taking all these steps to fortify your life and yourself and your finances and your family

[00:02:59] and denying the necessity for you know real physical well being. That's crazy. That's

[00:03:11] absolutely crazy and you can tell yourself any number of stories that you'd like or

[00:03:15] any number of things that you'd like to say. You have to be in shape and you

[00:03:23] know you say that you hear people say that and yeah that's all fine and dandy. But when

[00:03:28] the rubber meets the road I'm tired at the end of the day when the rubber meets the

[00:03:31] road I work a hard job when the rubber meets the road insert you know whatever kind of

[00:03:39] excuse you'd like to. That was the motivation for us coming up with prepper fit in health.

[00:05:08] I walk you through in video form all the basic kettlebell moves a variety of kettlebell routines

[00:05:14] actually last week I published a kettlebell chest routine specifically working the chest

[00:05:19] with three kettlebell exercises but we do calisthenics, we do yoga, we do regular dumbbell

[00:05:26] stuff over there all manners of talks about fitness and nutrition that all exists under

[00:05:33] the prepper fit and health tab right there on the main page of pbnfamily.com. What I can

[00:05:42] tell you is you have to find what works for you. You know one of the golden rules of

[00:05:48] prepper fit and health is to just work out every day. Work out every day simple, work

[00:05:58] out every day that's it make it part of your life and it doesn't have to be I'm

[00:06:04] going to throw kettlebells around every day in my life you know it doesn't have to be

[00:06:08] that. It can be yesterday I tore a tree down in my backyard or half of a tree

[00:06:15] essentially and I'm just one big branch but you know and I was doing some kettlebells

[00:06:20] while I did that and you know I'm feeling it so today's a run day if I was feeling

[00:06:26] even worse today might just be a stretch day and that's my workout you know I'll

[00:06:31] sit down and I'll put some podcasts on get caught up here at pbn and stretch that's it

[00:06:36] roll out the yoga mat and stretch my body I'll stretch my muscles how many people who

[00:06:40] don't like to lift weights and don't like to work out how many of you just stretch

[00:06:45] low impact no impact stretching will seriously limit the amount of injuries you have there

[00:06:52] is no debating it's a it's tremendous there is no debating this so you have to understand

[00:06:59] that there are things that we can do things that we need to be doing on the regular now

[00:07:08] the keys to success with prepper fit and health are always going to be motivation

[00:07:12] always going to be motivation that's always going to be your biggest struggle is when

[00:07:17] I'm tired when I'm beat when I'm done when I don't want to do any more how do I

[00:07:21] do more what can I do to drive myself to do more and I can't tell you

[00:07:29] how to motivate yourself you can listen to talks you can listen to podcasts one of my

[00:07:35] favorite things to do is listen to audio dramas when I run we have a three season

[00:07:40] incredibly well done audio drama the changing earth audio drama is what's one of the

[00:07:47] best audio dramas there is out period yeah I don't care what anybody says it literally

[00:07:52] is one of the best and trust me I've listened to a lot of them you know to me graphic

[00:07:57] audio does the best audio dramas there are and I think that the changing earth series is now

[00:08:06] running on the same level if not you know there's some parts of the changing earth

[00:08:09] series are actually better because of the use of music so you know you got to find your

[00:08:16] motivation you got to find what gets you going you know I I I like to use the aid

[00:08:23] of collapse I like to use the aid of people like the protesters in the campuses right now

[00:08:32] or Antifa or you know the butcher in Haiti villains real real life villains who if given

[00:08:40] the opportunity to do terrible things to yourself and your family right to you and your family

[00:08:44] and you know those guys give me a lot of motivation they give me a lot of motivation

[00:08:50] to push hard and you know at least once in a while you need to work out and push hard push

[00:08:55] yourself hard it's critical it's crucial so you need motivation you need recovery you

[00:09:04] need consistency consistency is probably next to doing the work and finding the motivation

[00:09:12] and finding the motivation consistency is probably just as important because you have to find your

[00:09:18] little your little niche where you are working out consistently and you're doing it in a

[00:09:25] way that is going to serve you for the rest of your life right forget about diets forget

[00:09:33] about fitness routines for 30 days your physical fitness is a journey of a lifetime that

[00:09:40] pays you back dividends that's the truth pbn family that's the way you need to look at

[00:10:39] you know i don't get excited when i see a guy doing a crazy workout like there was a time

[00:10:45] in my life when i used to be like man that looks tough i want to give that a try or that's

[00:10:48] a cool that's what the mma fighters are doing in training camp i want to do that um i don't get excited about that stuff anymore

[00:10:57] and the reason i don't get excited about that stuff anymore is because um i have come to realize after 20 years that

[00:11:04] consistency is everything you know so if you're doing a workout and you know that you know i'm gonna do this for 6-8 months

[00:11:12] and that's all i can do that's not really that great unless you sub it out for something else

[00:11:17] you know what you're looking for is to get yourself a weekly workout routine

[00:11:23] that you can do and you can manage with a variety of workouts a variety of uh uh equipment a variety of skills

[00:11:33] that you can manage for the rest of your life there is no denying the fact that the moment people retire

[00:11:40] and sit down on the couch and start watching movies they start to die and there are some of you out there

[00:11:45] right now who work jobs where you sit in a cubicle all day and you go home and watch movies and listen to this podcast

[00:11:51] probably amongst others uh what do you think's happening to your body fitness doesn't have to be hard

[00:12:01] you don't have to be sore all the time you can start slow do you know what i'm saying you can start slow

[00:12:06] i can tell you right now this putting together this month's routine we're gonna focus on calisthenics

[00:12:12] we're gonna focus on kettlebells two things that you can do by by just having one kettlebell

[00:12:18] you know kettlebell lower body with and then the next day is calisthenics um

[00:12:24] i'll let you know when that's out it'll be linked all the stuff you know guns off-grid

[00:12:33] communications prepper groups all this kind of stuff man and it all pales in comparison

[00:12:40] to your health and well-being it all and and and your health and well-being will rapidly increase
