[00:00:04] You're listening to PBN. You will pay us back the stability.

[00:00:53] And then pick back up.

[00:00:57] And here he sits.

[00:00:59] Well, you look at sound good so far. Usually when I ask you an important question, that's when the internet goes out.

[00:01:05] Exactly.

[00:01:06] Maybe I'll hold all them till after.

[00:01:09] So here in here at Richmond, we got very little snow.

[00:01:13] Very little.

[00:01:14] Like, I don't know if we got three inches, maybe.

[00:01:18] Wow.

[00:01:19] But timing, you know, even with three inches, just for those of you who live in the Northeast or the Northwest or the Midwest, this is a Southern city and it's not really prepared for snow of any kind.

[00:01:33] They didn't do bad. You know what I mean? But there's tons of power outages and stuff like that.

[00:01:39] And, uh...

[00:01:40] Really?

[00:01:41] Oh yeah. And then round about, I'd say probably about 2.30. No, no, no, no. This was later.

[00:01:48] It was probably about four o'clock.

[00:01:50] My brother-in-law calls us up and tells us that they didn't announce it yet, but there's a boil water notice coming because a pump malfunctioned at the water treatment facility.

[00:02:02] And what happened is people north of us, north of the James River, actually wound up with no water.

[00:02:12] So, yeah, they're dealing with a no water situation over there.

[00:02:17] They recommend... It's a recommended boil water situation everywhere else.

[00:02:22] Um...

[00:02:23] And what really stuck with me through all this stuff is just like how ho-hum it is at our house.

[00:02:31] Now, don't get me wrong. We, we, we, we called a bunch of people, neighbors.

[00:02:36] One of my most prepper neighbors.

[00:02:40] I was so happy because I called him first and I, I said, hey man, this is going on.

[00:02:45] And he said, you know what?

[00:02:46] My wife already heard about it and I'm fit. He was actually, when I called him, he was filling up a water bob.

[00:02:54] Hey.

[00:02:55] You remember those?

[00:02:56] Yeah.

[00:02:57] They go in the bathtub and you fill them up and clip and they have a, like a, an outflow.

[00:03:02] Yeah.

[00:03:03] I was, I was happy about that.

[00:03:05] Um, but what really struck me and it was perfect timing cause I've been talking about this prepping as anti-anxiety.

[00:03:12] You know what I mean?

[00:03:13] Like the, like a real legitimate anti-anxiety is prepping.

[00:03:18] And I'm sitting here watching all this stuff unfold and reading online and talking to people and they're all like, you know, go great.

[00:03:25] Now what now we got to deal with it.

[00:03:27] And you know, we got water and in the house, water outside the house.

[00:03:32] We so much water to nothing to worry about really.

[00:03:38] And it just was, it further is driving home this point folks that like, this is where you want to be.

[00:03:46] Even, even if our power, it's going to go down to something like 17 or something tonight.

[00:03:50] And even if our power goes out, even that is like a, so what, you know what I mean?

[00:03:56] That's how prepared we are right now.

[00:03:59] I moved some things around, brought some heating systems in, you know what I mean?

[00:04:03] Just minimal stuff.

[00:04:05] I'm talking like 15 to 20 minutes maximum to get everything going.

[00:04:12] And I don't know that there's just immense value in it compared to smashing your head into the wall, worrying about what could happen.

[00:04:19] What am I going to do if this happens?

[00:04:21] What am I going to do with that?

[00:04:22] You know?

[00:04:23] And it was just, I don't know.

[00:04:24] Yeah.

[00:04:25] It is the ultimate anti-anxiety.

[00:04:27] We've reached a point in society where you guys got to understand like, these types of things are always going to happen and worse things are going to happen.

[00:04:37] And if you're prepared, even remotely prepared, then I don't know, you'll just be a lot less worried.

[00:04:47] Yeah.

[00:04:48] It truly is the ultimate anti-anxiety.

[00:04:51] Dave Jones, you probably have a similar story up there on the mountain right now, right?

[00:04:55] Absolutely.

[00:04:56] We, after we went to see the movie, we swung by Walmart to pick up some more ground beef for clover.

[00:05:05] Because you get 50 poppy.

[00:05:08] And, you know, they're like four or five times a day.

[00:05:13] Wow.

[00:05:13] Not anxiety here.

[00:05:15] We are so happy we have clover.

[00:05:17] Yeah.

[00:05:18] And, you know, we got, we got the, I haven't even fired up the wood stove.

[00:05:24] I mean, I did the other night, but you know, if, if we lose power, got the generator right there, got the wood stove ready to go.

[00:05:34] I mean, it's, it's nothing.

[00:05:37] We have water.

[00:05:39] Yeah.

[00:05:39] And that's not anxiety here.

[00:05:41] No anxiety.

[00:05:42] We are happy.

[00:05:43] Yeah.

[00:05:44] Beautiful thing.

[00:05:44] Happy we have two days out of school.

[00:05:47] Yeah.

[00:05:47] We got two days out of school.

[00:05:50] Yeah.

[00:05:51] Yeah.

[00:05:52] We, yeah, that was good.

[00:05:53] We were out until about an hour ago.

[00:05:58] So we have a middle school down the street from our house and it, the running track is in a,

[00:06:05] I'm not kidding.

[00:06:06] Like a decline of land.

[00:06:08] Let's sort of like this.

[00:06:10] Yeah.

[00:06:10] Goes down into the running track and then it comes snow, man.

[00:06:15] It's the best sledding there is around and we could walk there.

[00:06:17] So we all walked up there and we spent the evening doing that.

[00:06:22] My, yeah, you know, I had to, I had what I wanted to be wearing at Azure or no, like Gotham get out on.

[00:06:30] If I wasn't thrift shopping for my Gotham get out gear, I had, I had the real stuff on.

[00:06:36] Yeah.

[00:06:36] Never, never even got remotely cold.

[00:06:39] You know what I mean?

[00:06:39] Not once just having fun.

[00:06:43] My one son slid my older son.

[00:06:46] He's at that age where he doesn't want to wear a coat.

[00:06:48] And I don't know if you remember that.

[00:06:49] I was like that.

[00:06:50] I am in my teens.

[00:06:53] And as fate would have it, he, he went over a depression in the ground that was all water.

[00:07:01] And it came out of the sled and his whole back went into the cold, icy water.

[00:07:06] He had a few more sleds left in him.

[00:07:08] And then him and the wife went home after that.

[00:07:12] Absolutely.

[00:07:13] I'm usually okay.

[00:07:14] But as long as my feet don't get wet or cold, my feet get wet or cold.

[00:07:21] I'm done.

[00:07:21] That's it.

[00:07:22] I'm going in.

[00:07:23] Yeah.

[00:07:23] I don't, I don't know.

[00:07:26] I don't, I don't play with it, man.

[00:07:28] You know, but the, the feet are a game.

[00:07:30] Yeah.

[00:07:31] They are a game changer.

[00:07:32] The gloves, the feet.

[00:07:34] When we did got them get out, it was cold and, and I was good to go, man.

[00:07:39] I was good to go the whole night.

[00:07:41] There was a point around probably 11 PM where I sat down to check my map cause I was a little

[00:07:50] lost and I was taking layers off and putting them in my backpack.

[00:07:58] Yeah.

[00:07:58] Because I was humping it.

[00:08:00] You know what I mean?

[00:08:00] I was moving and I had a backpack.

[00:08:03] I packed full of stuff, man.

[00:08:05] Yeah.

[00:08:06] After a couple of them Jones caches.

[00:08:10] So yeah, I remember taking layers off, but you know, it comes with age.

[00:08:15] I think, well, you know what it comes with?

[00:08:16] It comes with being, being done with being cold.

[00:08:19] Yeah.

[00:08:20] That would that point when you're like, dude, I am, I'm not going to be cold.

[00:08:24] I'm going to make sure I got the things on them that work.

[00:08:27] They're important.

[00:08:30] But yeah.

[00:08:31] Yeah.

[00:08:31] So here we sit and join the winter wonderland, right?

[00:08:34] You too.

[00:08:36] Yeah.

[00:08:37] Hey, no, I'm going to click off my video every so often because I don't want to lose connection.

[00:08:43] And I think if I decrease the bandwidth, it might help.

[00:08:48] So I'll keep the audio going.

[00:08:50] Okay.

[00:08:51] So when you said about the boil water advisory, people sometimes don't understand that the water pressure itself is what keeps the pipes from collapsing and water mains breaking and all that kind of stuff.

[00:09:08] So once the pump failed, the water pressure decreased and that allowed crap to get in the water system.

[00:09:19] So yeah, they had backflow problems.

[00:09:22] Yeah.

[00:09:23] They had backflow problems and yeah, all that.

[00:09:28] Yeah.

[00:09:28] It's it.

[00:09:30] These reminders are great, man.

[00:09:32] They really are.

[00:09:34] You know what I mean?

[00:09:35] The water systems, the power systems, all this.

[00:09:38] It's always a reminder of like, hey, as terrible as New Orleans was, these are things always remind me like, yeah, let somebody get into that water system who wants to do some harm.

[00:09:51] And then you'll really see something crazy happen.

[00:09:54] You know, we've been a long, long time.

[00:09:57] Oh, absolutely.

[00:10:00] Water attacks and all that food, you know, that kind of stuff.

[00:10:04] But yeah, I wanted to talk about the it's a big day.

[00:10:08] You know, this is a seminal day in American history now, January 6th.

[00:10:13] Yeah, because it's Ashley Babbitt Day.

[00:10:16] It is Ashley Babbitt Day on top of that.

[00:10:19] Yeah.

[00:10:19] I mean, there's a lot.

[00:10:20] There's a lot that goes along.

[00:10:22] Yeah.

[00:10:23] But I can.

[00:10:26] Yeah.

[00:10:27] And Russian New Year's too.

[00:10:30] Oh, is it really the Russian New Year today?

[00:10:32] I didn't know that.

[00:10:33] Yeah.

[00:10:33] It's January.

[00:10:35] Yeah.

[00:10:36] So do you think.

[00:10:37] Yeah.

[00:10:39] Yeah.

[00:10:39] Go ahead.

[00:10:40] I'd like to hear about the Russian New Year.

[00:10:42] Go ahead.

[00:10:43] Well, it's the what are they called?

[00:10:45] The epiphany.

[00:10:46] We just was invited to.

[00:10:48] Yeah.

[00:10:49] The Orthodox calendar.

[00:10:51] It's the epiphany of when the when the wise man went to Jesus.

[00:10:58] So this is what they celebrate.

[00:11:01] And our neighbor, Andrew, you met Andrew.

[00:11:06] Yeah.

[00:11:07] He's of Russian descent.

[00:11:09] I think he's second generation American.

[00:11:13] So his grandma came over on the boat.

[00:11:16] Oh, OK.

[00:11:18] Yeah.

[00:11:19] And them roots run deep.

[00:11:19] He just invited us tonight for a meal.

[00:11:22] Yeah.

[00:11:23] And everything was no meat.

[00:11:25] What did they have?

[00:11:26] Oh, it was.

[00:11:28] Well, kind of.

[00:11:30] Everything is fasting.

[00:11:33] So it's just vegetables, no meat, no cheese, no egg, no dairy at all.

[00:11:42] So that's that's what it is.

[00:11:44] And everything has meaning.

[00:11:46] Yeah.

[00:11:47] Everything has a meaning like you'll have honey, honey for prosperity, garlic for strength.

[00:11:53] You take a clove of garlic.

[00:11:56] Oh, yeah.

[00:11:57] That's how I like it.

[00:11:59] Yeah.

[00:12:00] Yeah.

[00:12:01] Yeah.

[00:12:01] That's my that's that's a pill.

[00:12:03] Well, I know I'm bad off, man.

[00:12:06] If I'm eating.

[00:12:06] Yeah, like raw.

[00:12:08] Then I'm I've been sick a while.

[00:12:10] I had a gar a mixed garlic and rosemary.

[00:12:13] A tablespoon of medicine when I was feeling real bad.

[00:12:16] I just minced both up and just ate them out of a tablespoon.

[00:12:21] And I was like, yeah, getting into the real medicine now.

[00:12:25] But I'm still caught.

[00:12:26] Yeah.

[00:12:27] Well, it's a natural antibiotic.

[00:12:30] Oh, yeah.

[00:12:31] Oh, it works.

[00:12:32] Yeah, it works.

[00:12:33] I rub it on cuts.

[00:12:34] Oh, I always use garlic on stuff, man.

[00:12:36] It works.

[00:12:37] It's brutal.

[00:12:38] You could tell it works.

[00:12:39] It's like when you drink Robitussin and you're like, oh, my God, how can this

[00:12:43] have a tough taste so bad because it works?

[00:12:45] Yes.

[00:12:45] It's like garlic and ginger.

[00:12:47] They're wicked.

[00:12:48] You know what I mean?

[00:12:49] Horseradish.

[00:12:50] Yeah.

[00:12:50] Wicked.

[00:12:51] Yeah.

[00:12:51] No, they work mustard seeds, you know, things like that.

[00:12:54] You could just feel it.

[00:12:57] But yeah.

[00:12:58] Yeah.

[00:13:01] Yeah.

[00:13:01] No.

[00:13:02] On this big thing.

[00:13:03] Yep.

[00:13:04] On the sixth.

[00:13:05] How weird.

[00:13:06] What a great day for the Canadians, huh?

[00:13:09] Absolutely.

[00:13:10] And if they become the 51st state, it will be even better.

[00:13:13] That's my question.

[00:13:14] Do you think that when Trump and him met, he had something to do with it?

[00:13:19] Do you think he was like, look, if you want this to go well, you got to resign on

[00:13:24] the sixth because the sixth is my day of celebration.

[00:13:28] Yeah.

[00:13:30] It's interesting to think about that.

[00:13:33] They did meet.

[00:13:34] Now, I'm pretty sure the conversation was kind of one sided.

[00:13:39] And now we got Pierre Paul of their whole whole point of air.

[00:13:45] Yeah, I got to get the tool man on to give us the Canadian scoop.

[00:13:50] But that guy is so busy traveling all the time.

[00:13:52] I don't know if I can get it to hammer him down for an interview.

[00:13:56] Yeah, it looks well, it might be a little little easier in the winter time.

[00:14:02] But yeah, you're right.

[00:14:03] He travels all the time.

[00:14:05] Hey, and did you hear Sarah's show or her final goodbye show?

[00:14:09] Yeah.

[00:14:10] Changing Earth has come to an end, folks.

[00:14:14] Just as she did like.

[00:14:15] Yeah, she did like three goodbye shows.

[00:14:24] Yeah, just just the podcast.

[00:14:26] The audio drama will still be around.

[00:14:28] We're going to all going to keep working on the audio drama.

[00:14:31] But Sarah's just.

[00:14:34] Well, I mean, she's got a great thing and she wants to get to the moon and it should

[00:14:38] be to the moon.

[00:14:39] And, you know, there's a bunch of crap out there that's not anywhere near as good

[00:14:43] as the Changing Earth series would be on television.

[00:14:46] Yeah, I was laughing because I don't know.

[00:14:50] You probably deal with this too, Dave.

[00:14:52] Me and my wife always laugh about this.

[00:14:54] We'll be watching like television before bed.

[00:15:00] And most of the time we're either watching hockey, football or the office.

[00:15:04] Right?

[00:15:05] Yeah.

[00:15:05] Yeah.

[00:15:06] The commercials that are between them, they always say like the most talked about television

[00:15:13] show on the air today or the most popular show or the most this show or whatever, you

[00:15:20] know, like the.

[00:15:21] And I always get a chuckle because I get excited when they say it because I know they're going

[00:15:26] to say a show I've never heard of.

[00:15:30] Yeah.

[00:15:30] You know what I mean?

[00:15:32] Yeah.

[00:15:32] My other favorite thing is when a show comes on, it's like season finale for the for the

[00:15:39] massive hit show primetime.

[00:15:42] And then they name the show and I had no idea it existed, let alone had five seasons

[00:15:47] and was on a grand finale.

[00:15:48] I always think that.

[00:15:49] And then I think of Sarah after I laugh about that.

[00:15:51] I think about Sarah and I say now if if if they could find if they could take the block

[00:15:57] of the drag queens dating their pets and move that and put a real show in like the changing

[00:16:04] earth, then I'd watch television.

[00:16:07] You know what I mean?

[00:16:09] Yeah.

[00:16:10] But now that we're talking about Sarah, I owe her some lines and I totally forgot about

[00:16:16] it.

[00:16:17] Yeah.

[00:16:17] And I got it.

[00:16:18] I got to jump on.

[00:16:20] She's she said I need them ASAP.

[00:16:22] And I'm like, oh, me too.

[00:16:25] She hunts me down every at the end of every season.

[00:16:28] I'm so bad at it.

[00:16:29] Every time I get the lines, Dave Jones, I swear I look at him, I look him over and I go,

[00:16:34] I'm doing these early.

[00:16:37] And every time I'm always like the guy right in at the at the end.

[00:16:42] Well, my son's got lines.

[00:16:44] I got to get his ass in gear, too.

[00:16:46] Yeah, we got to get him knocked out.

[00:16:47] Yeah.

[00:16:49] Well, and Deanna has lines, too.

[00:16:51] So that pretty much the whole house except for Maria.

[00:16:55] So.

[00:16:57] She last time I did them early and then there were some lines that were missed and I don't

[00:17:03] know if it was my printer didn't print them out or or what, but I had to rerecord and I

[00:17:10] had to get them to her really quick.

[00:17:12] No.

[00:17:12] And then.

[00:17:14] Now this time I said, oh, I got two weeks Christmas break.

[00:17:19] This is going to be easy.

[00:17:20] Now it's over.

[00:17:22] Oh, yeah, man.

[00:17:23] It happens.

[00:17:23] I know.

[00:17:24] Trust me.

[00:17:25] I'm always in that boat.

[00:17:27] I'm always in that boat.

[00:17:29] I'm going to get this done early.

[00:17:30] Well, and the puppies kind of kind of messaged you up because you had to you got to schedule

[00:17:38] everything around the feeding time.

[00:17:40] So, you know, I get I get.

[00:17:43] Yeah, this this sleep I get is in increments and then I usually take a nap during the day.

[00:17:51] It's just it's whacked out until we get them puppies on some solid food.

[00:17:57] I didn't have no puppy excuse.

[00:18:01] I did not sick.

[00:18:02] I got sick as a dog.

[00:18:04] It was brutal.

[00:18:06] Yeah, but I had plenty of time for it prior to get them done.

[00:18:10] Just one of those things.

[00:18:13] But yeah, man, January 6th.

[00:18:15] I have a feeling January 6th is going to be a thing.

[00:18:17] I was talking to my son about it and I was telling about about the asking if he knows

[00:18:24] about the nickel.

[00:18:26] About the what is it?

[00:18:29] Well, has he heard you?

[00:18:31] Oh, nicotine patches to block the protein spike protein spikes trying to make a a feeing,

[00:18:43] you know, to have everything on hand for us because they're going to go back to school and they're going to get very sick.

[00:18:49] And I want to have everything in hand like a very make thing.

[00:18:53] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:18:54] Ivermectin.

[00:18:55] You know about that.

[00:18:58] So you were.

[00:19:02] Yes, because it's going to be out there.

[00:19:04] I mean, everybody is complaining of it.

[00:19:07] I'm in quite a few groups and everybody say they got it and it's terrible.

[00:19:11] Well, what was the sickness you had?

[00:19:14] I think I had that new virus already.

[00:19:17] Yeah, I think I had that.

[00:19:18] It really sounds a lot like what what is HMPB?

[00:19:22] What to know about the virus as cases take up in China in the US?

[00:19:26] I think that's it sounded exactly like what I had.

[00:19:29] It's high fever.

[00:19:31] It's cough.

[00:19:31] It's cough that lasts after you're better.

[00:19:34] I still coughing.

[00:19:36] I really think that's going to happen.

[00:19:37] Well, I have a protocol.

[00:19:39] Yeah, Maria did research.

[00:19:41] I'm going to laminate it, put it in the kitchen cabinet inside and have everything on hand.

[00:19:47] Oh, beautiful.

[00:19:49] Yeah, I love it.

[00:19:52] Yeah, I don't know.

[00:19:52] They all all these respiratory things seem pretty similar in terms of, you know, the like the overall symptoms.

[00:20:01] But when I started reading up on HMPV just because, you know, everything's a thing.

[00:20:08] You know what I mean?

[00:20:09] Everything is.

[00:20:09] This is the big one.

[00:20:11] It's coming.

[00:20:12] Yeah.

[00:20:12] I mean, well, let's just see if it is or not, you know, because.

[00:20:16] Because I saw the pictures of Chinese hospitals that they're showing.

[00:20:19] They're showing videos of like packed Chinese hospitals.

[00:20:22] Yeah, I got I got news for you, Dave Jones.

[00:20:25] There's a hospital close to me real close.

[00:20:27] If I go in that hospital right now, it looks like these Chinese hospitals.

[00:20:33] Wow.

[00:20:34] Exactly.

[00:20:36] Well, actually, it's so bad in Richmond right now.

[00:20:39] Well, this this hospital is not affected, but they closed the hospitals right now to new patients because of the

[00:20:46] water issue.

[00:20:47] Wow.

[00:20:47] They're redirecting people to other hospitals because of the water.

[00:20:53] Yeah.

[00:20:54] Bad news.

[00:20:55] But no, I've been to these.

[00:20:55] This is what I have seen.

[00:20:58] Say it again.

[00:21:00] This is what I have seen across the United States.

[00:21:03] I told you I'm part of some groups and everybody say that this new COVID is kicking back for everybody.

[00:21:12] And this is why I come up with this protocol.

[00:21:15] And I'm trying to put it in place.

[00:21:17] I like it.

[00:21:18] I think it's a great idea.

[00:21:20] But these are the hospitals all the time.

[00:21:24] Oh, yeah, this is all the time.

[00:21:26] You could go in the summer.

[00:21:28] You can go in the winter.

[00:21:29] You can go on in the spring.

[00:21:31] You got drug addicts, illegal aliens.

[00:21:34] Yeah.

[00:21:35] Metal detectors at the front door.

[00:21:38] Wow.

[00:21:38] Wow.

[00:21:39] That had walked through metal detector.

[00:21:40] Yeah.

[00:21:40] When my mother was in there not long ago, I had to walk through a metal detector to get

[00:21:44] into the ER to go see her.

[00:21:46] You know what I mean?

[00:21:48] Yeah.

[00:21:49] It's the Joe Biden ER.

[00:21:51] That's all.

[00:21:52] Just to do.

[00:21:53] Yeah.

[00:21:54] It's the Biden admin ER.

[00:21:56] You know what I mean?

[00:21:56] You got a homeless.

[00:21:57] You got drug addicts.

[00:21:58] You got illegal immigrants.

[00:22:00] Just the whole thing's filled with it.

[00:22:01] You go in there as people.

[00:22:03] They got gurneys in the ER waiting room.

[00:22:07] Sometimes it's that pack.

[00:22:09] So what I'm getting at is when I see China, I don't go, oh, my God, something crazy is

[00:22:15] happening.

[00:22:15] I go, oh, well, that's just what that's normal.

[00:22:18] Like, yeah, that's what it looks like here.

[00:22:19] Yeah.

[00:22:21] And it is bad with the respiratory illnesses right now, you know, that all across the

[00:22:26] country.

[00:22:27] Yeah.

[00:22:27] It's a real thing.

[00:22:30] But, you know, my my youngest had something before I got it.

[00:22:33] He had pretty, pretty rough time.

[00:22:36] Oh, I don't know.

[00:22:38] You know, it's just one of those.

[00:22:40] I think pre-COVID.

[00:22:41] So go ahead.

[00:22:44] Well, we we made it to January 6th.

[00:22:47] They certified the votes.

[00:22:49] So this is one more.

[00:22:51] Yeah.

[00:22:52] Let's see.

[00:22:53] Let's see if we make it to the 20th.

[00:22:55] And Trump actually gets.

[00:22:57] Yeah.

[00:22:58] Yeah.

[00:22:58] Yeah.

[00:22:58] I was.

[00:23:00] I was explaining to my son the predicament that the Democrats had put themselves in

[00:23:06] by lying today.

[00:23:08] Yeah.

[00:23:08] My oldest son, I was saying, you know, Kamala Harris has to eat crow today and certify this

[00:23:14] election.

[00:23:14] And they can't do anything to stand in the way of democracy now because they put their

[00:23:21] foot in their mouth for four years straight about what a nightmare January 6th was.

[00:23:27] You know, the worst thing that ever happened to the Republic.

[00:23:29] Yeah.

[00:23:30] And how important it is to have a smooth transition of powers and all that.

[00:23:35] So, you know, it could have been Genghis Khan getting the election.

[00:23:40] They would have certified it because they had cornered themselves like fools so badly.

[00:23:46] You know what I mean?

[00:23:47] Yeah.

[00:23:48] And I just wanted him to understand that because it was it's an interesting moment in history.

[00:23:53] You know that they're this guy that they hate with everything and they trumped up charges

[00:23:58] on them and the whole thing.

[00:24:00] And now they still have to sit down and certify him as president because they turned democracy

[00:24:06] in January 6th into such a talking point.

[00:24:09] I don't know.

[00:24:10] Yeah.

[00:24:11] You know, lie.

[00:24:12] The only person that died on January 6th was Ashley Babbitt.

[00:24:17] And she was shot to death for trespassing.

[00:24:22] Yeah.

[00:24:22] Yeah.

[00:24:23] By an officer that that didn't not did not get charges brought up on him.

[00:24:30] He actually got promoted because of it.

[00:24:34] Can you imagine?

[00:24:35] It's it's insane.

[00:24:37] No, I can't.

[00:24:38] There is only one instance where an officer shoots someone in the neck and kills them

[00:24:43] and gets a promotion for it.

[00:24:45] That's about the only instance.

[00:24:48] Yeah.

[00:24:49] And he was a black guy who shot a white woman.

[00:24:53] Yeah.

[00:24:54] Like I said, there are only a certain number of incidences.

[00:24:59] Yeah.

[00:25:00] And instances where something like that's going to happen.

[00:25:05] But yeah, man.

[00:25:07] It was I'm glad it went nice and easy.

[00:25:09] I'm glad we didn't have some rogue rogue group of morons mess it up.

[00:25:14] Get it in.

[00:25:15] Get it done.

[00:25:17] Yeah.

[00:25:17] But they still put the fences up.

[00:25:20] Of course.

[00:25:21] Yeah.

[00:25:22] The fences up when Joe got into member because they thought we were all coming.

[00:25:26] Yeah.

[00:25:27] Well, they have to make a big show.

[00:25:28] You know, how ironic that they put up the fences and then they cut the the fences apart to

[00:25:35] let people in.

[00:25:37] Yeah.

[00:25:38] Yeah.

[00:25:39] They cut the old zip ties to let people in.

[00:25:43] I'll never understand that one.

[00:25:45] Well, I think we all understand that one now.

[00:25:48] Yeah, it was a total setup.

[00:25:50] Exactly.

[00:25:51] Set up.

[00:25:52] The FBI was busy instead of what you said over there in New Orleans.

[00:25:57] They were busy watching the truth.

[00:25:59] What are the guys called?

[00:26:01] The Oath Keepers.

[00:26:03] The most dangerous organization in America.

[00:26:07] The Oath Keepers.

[00:26:09] Yeah.

[00:26:10] And what was it?

[00:26:12] Proud Boys.

[00:26:13] Proud Boys.

[00:26:13] Another group of people who are going to cause endless horror in the nation.

[00:26:19] Yeah.

[00:26:20] Their leader was put in jail for 20 years and he wasn't even at January 6th.

[00:26:26] Yeah.

[00:26:27] He was a white supremacist who wasn't even white.

[00:26:32] Awesome.

[00:26:33] Yeah.

[00:26:34] Yeah.

[00:26:34] How does that happen?

[00:26:35] I love it.

[00:26:37] Yeah.

[00:26:37] It really is a shame for him.

[00:26:39] I hope those guys get out.

[00:26:40] I really do.

[00:26:42] It's there's, you know, it's the biggest kick in the nuts of all time following the summer

[00:26:48] of George Floyd.

[00:26:50] Yep.

[00:26:51] Where Kamala Harris is paying bail for people to get out of jail.

[00:26:55] And then they throw these guys.

[00:26:56] Right.

[00:26:56] They throw these guys for parading into prison for 20 plus years.

[00:27:03] Yeah.

[00:27:04] Grandmothers.

[00:27:06] You got the guy who.

[00:27:08] Go ahead.

[00:27:09] Oh, I just wanted to get on to the, uh, the movie Homestead because we watched it.

[00:27:16] Maria has some very specific stuff she wants to talk about and that's why she's here.

[00:27:23] Yeah.

[00:27:24] So.

[00:27:24] I heard that that was, uh, uh, based on a book called black autumn.

[00:27:30] Yes.

[00:27:31] Yes.

[00:27:32] I never heard of the book or the flick until it became a thing here.

[00:27:38] Well, it's, I didn't either.

[00:27:40] Very interesting.

[00:27:42] The, uh, this scenario that they put out, uh, uh, like a small nuke is delivered.

[00:27:51] You can see this on the previews.

[00:27:53] I'm not, I'm not giving any kinds of spoilers away.

[00:27:57] I got you.

[00:27:57] But a small nuke is delivered apparently from China.

[00:28:03] It's, it's not sure.

[00:28:05] Uh, it's on a, like a, uh, sailing fishing boat, which I've, it was such a crappy little

[00:28:14] boat.

[00:28:15] I find it hard to believe it made it all the way across the Pacific with this nuke on

[00:28:20] board.

[00:28:21] Um, but these guys, these two guys, they get within 15 nautical miles and that's the, you

[00:28:29] know, the trigger for the coast guard.

[00:28:31] And, um, so they're, they're gonna set it off.

[00:28:35] And this guy says, remember your oath.

[00:28:38] Think about your family.

[00:28:41] That's, you know, you know, there's something like the Arabs do and they bomb themselves.

[00:28:48] Yeah.

[00:28:48] Oh, I see.

[00:28:50] I see.

[00:28:51] Is there is the martyring speech.

[00:28:53] Yeah.

[00:28:55] Yeah.

[00:28:55] So the, the guy sets his nuke off and, um, it blows a big mushroom cloud of water in the

[00:29:04] air, which is, which is very visible.

[00:29:08] And, uh, they did, they didn't show hardly any of the destruction.

[00:29:14] They just, they just showed the panic, which as you've been to my classes, you know, that

[00:29:24] I always, I say it will be and it will be.

[00:29:29] And, and they did a good job of showing that.

[00:29:32] Well, that's good.

[00:29:34] Yeah.

[00:29:36] And how things changed in the, in the country after that, because, uh, because of the chaos

[00:29:47] that ensued and it was, it was total chaos.

[00:29:51] I mean, uh, there's this grocery store scene, you know, some people argue, oh, it won't be

[00:30:00] that way, but if you.

[00:30:04] It, it's been.

[00:30:07] Almost that way.

[00:30:08] Just with this snow.

[00:30:09] Yeah.

[00:30:11] This.

[00:30:11] The things in the grocery store.

[00:30:13] Yeah, he's got me a picture of no bread.

[00:30:14] No bread at Walmart.

[00:30:16] And it was like, wait a minute.

[00:30:19] Did I miss something here?

[00:30:20] Because it's January.

[00:30:23] It is supposed to snow.

[00:30:26] If the news says it's snow though, then you buy everything.

[00:30:31] Yeah.

[00:30:31] And it was crazy.

[00:30:33] I mean, it was crazy busy.

[00:30:35] This was Sunday.

[00:30:36] I think a lot of that also has to do for you guys.

[00:30:39] I bet a lot of it has to do with new people moving to your area.

[00:30:43] You know what I mean?

[00:30:44] Yeah.

[00:30:44] Because I know the people who've lived there a while.

[00:30:46] They're not like, yeah.

[00:30:47] Oh, we better go get bread.

[00:30:50] Yeah.

[00:30:51] Most of the people now at Costco, it's categories.

[00:30:56] Very little whites.

[00:30:57] A lot of China, a lot of Indians, a lot of other things.

[00:31:03] Now it's kind of, you have to be part of the white.

[00:31:07] Yeah.

[00:31:08] Well, since Costco's.

[00:31:10] What do you guys have going up around there?

[00:31:11] Do you have like condos being built or something around there?

[00:31:16] Or it's just people moving to old homes?

[00:31:19] Yeah.

[00:31:19] Yeah.

[00:31:20] But, you know, the influx of immigrants is what they call them.

[00:31:25] We have a lot of, you know, homeless on kids.

[00:31:28] Yeah.

[00:31:29] A lot from Ukraine.

[00:31:31] You didn't see that when Trump was in.

[00:31:35] Yeah.

[00:31:36] A lot of Ukrainians because they speak the language and Maria and I are pretty good at deciphering

[00:31:44] which language they're talking.

[00:31:48] You got a good hold on the Eastern block, right?

[00:31:52] Yeah.

[00:31:53] And I speak.

[00:31:55] In the movie, they wind up at some kind of survival community, right?

[00:32:03] Yeah.

[00:32:04] It's similar to Fortitude Ranch.

[00:32:07] But different.

[00:32:09] That's what I thought when I read it.

[00:32:10] That's what I thought when I read the, yeah, the synopsis.

[00:32:14] I was like, yeah, that sounds familiar.

[00:32:16] Yeah.

[00:32:17] But this guy, this guy is like a super rich guy.

[00:32:23] He knew something was going to happen.

[00:32:26] He wanted his family to be squared away.

[00:32:29] So he, he built this compound and, you know, did all this stuff, stored all this food, has all these guns.

[00:32:39] He did all the things ahead of time.

[00:32:42] Yeah.

[00:32:42] He just didn't, he did not have the people.

[00:32:46] So.

[00:32:46] So he hired the top guys.

[00:32:49] He hired.

[00:32:49] Military guys.

[00:32:51] Yeah.

[00:32:51] And he was going to hire security.

[00:32:53] So this guy had, yeah, this, the, the other part of this is the, the security guy, you know, combat veteran worked for the CIA.

[00:33:06] Uh, his wife was work for the state department.

[00:33:10] So they, they probably met that way and, uh, mixed race.

[00:33:17] And they have a, uh, a kid that I think is a foster kid.

[00:33:24] Uh, it's, it's an interesting.

[00:33:26] What's important is that me and David, we argued last night a lot because of this movie.

[00:33:33] No, I, it wasn't an argument.

[00:33:35] I was getting yelled at.

[00:33:38] That's what it was.

[00:33:41] Uh, they did a lot of things wrong.

[00:33:46] Uh, but there were a few topics, uh, you know, uh, which one you want to start with?

[00:33:52] Well, let's start.

[00:33:53] Tesla.

[00:33:54] First of all, this woman with her kids, which have a Tesla.

[00:34:00] She, of course she ran out of the electricity and she have to, to steal a, she stole a car.

[00:34:06] This never came up again in the movie.

[00:34:09] Yeah.

[00:34:09] But they were supposed to meet her husband.

[00:34:12] I guess he was, you know, pretty well off guy.

[00:34:16] Uh, he was in an office building in Los Angeles.

[00:34:20] And this, this bomb, this bomb was detonated close to LA.

[00:34:25] Yeah.

[00:34:26] So, uh, he calls, that's another thing.

[00:34:30] If this happens, the cell phones are, are not going to work.

[00:34:34] Ain't no calling happening.

[00:34:36] No.

[00:34:37] Post nuclear.

[00:34:38] So it starts with what we learn.

[00:34:40] Yeah.

[00:34:40] Not much what we learn, but there were a few things.

[00:34:43] Yeah.

[00:34:43] And, and the, the EMP effect was, was not, uh, not even considered.

[00:34:52] I mean, it was such, so small and so localized.

[00:34:56] I mean, when, when you come to my class, uh, it, it's a 20 kiloton bomb set off.

[00:35:06] My scenario, mine is, uh, set off at, at ground level and the EMP goes out about five miles.

[00:35:15] So, you know, if you're 15 miles.

[00:35:19] Yeah.

[00:35:20] If you're 15 miles off the coast, uh, there, there won't be a large EMP effect on anything, but the systems collapse all on their own because of, you know, people seeing a mushroom cloud.

[00:35:37] Right.

[00:35:38] This is everybody on the phone.

[00:35:41] Yeah.

[00:35:42] Do you remember the hurricane that happened?

[00:35:45] Not hurricane.

[00:35:46] Earthquake.

[00:35:48] Earthquake.

[00:35:48] The earthquake.

[00:35:49] Yeah.

[00:35:50] Oh yeah.

[00:35:50] And, and there was no making phone calls.

[00:35:54] Nope.

[00:35:55] And, and that happened, uh, in Virginia.

[00:35:58] It was felt in Washington, DC and, and truly, uh, I was, I was what maybe a month or two.

[00:36:09] Yeah.

[00:36:09] At the new job, you know, so, uh, I couldn't call Maria.

[00:36:16] She couldn't call me.

[00:36:17] We did get one phone call through before the phones went completely over.

[00:36:23] So definitely we are going to get satellite phones.

[00:36:27] Yeah.

[00:36:28] And we're going to get, you know, for all our kids like Alex, because it's living is the only way to be able to send a message to say, well, where you are, are you going to come?

[00:36:41] Do you need help or whatever?

[00:36:44] So that's a thing which we learned from this movie so far.

[00:36:48] Yeah.

[00:36:49] You know, where Alex is living is right where Gotham get out was.

[00:36:53] No way.

[00:36:55] Really?

[00:36:56] Really?

[00:36:57] Every time I go there, I see all the landmarks that we passed in Gotham get out.

[00:37:03] So he lives right there.

[00:37:05] Uh, data world.

[00:37:08] Yep.

[00:37:08] Right inside data world.

[00:37:11] Man.

[00:37:11] It's a weird.

[00:37:12] So, yeah.

[00:37:13] So, you know how far it is to my house from there.

[00:37:17] Yeah.

[00:37:18] And that's what he because he has a Tesla.

[00:37:26] Oh, yeah.

[00:37:28] That doesn't go very far if you don't charge it.

[00:37:33] It wasn't the movie portrayed very well as well.

[00:37:36] Yeah.

[00:37:37] She was a little generator to keep in the Tesla.

[00:37:40] Yeah.

[00:37:41] Yeah.

[00:37:41] Yeah.

[00:37:42] An inverter.

[00:37:43] Well, that was another thing because you just can't plug them into the wall.

[00:37:48] You know?

[00:37:49] Oh, that's right.

[00:37:50] If you don't have one of those charging stations, you can't get a charge.

[00:37:58] Why would people?

[00:37:59] Another thing which was, uh, why do people want this?

[00:38:02] Yeah, exactly.

[00:38:03] Yeah, exactly.

[00:38:05] So another thing which I didn't even have time to talk with David, it's have your plan

[00:38:10] put it quite good down.

[00:38:13] I know if something happened, I'm staying home and David with the kids from school,

[00:38:18] they are going to come home.

[00:38:20] Yeah.

[00:38:21] Everybody comes here.

[00:38:22] Yeah.

[00:38:23] So you need to have that.

[00:38:25] Yeah.

[00:38:26] Because this family, they have a plan and then the guy went to...

[00:38:30] He was at work.

[00:38:33] Place that they were supposed to meet up was a gas station in the middle of the desert.

[00:38:39] Yep.

[00:38:40] And, and everybody was trying to get gas.

[00:38:43] Okay.

[00:38:44] And she pulls in with her Tesla running out of electricity.

[00:38:48] Of course, there was no charging station there.

[00:38:53] So she ends up having to steal a car.

[00:38:56] And that was kind of...

[00:38:57] You really drove that one home, huh?

[00:38:59] Yeah.

[00:38:59] You really heard the Tesla company with that movie.

[00:39:03] Hey, speaking of product placement, the gold backs were mentioned in a...

[00:39:13] Yes.

[00:39:14] In the movie.

[00:39:15] And then when the guy opens up his case full of money, gold backs are in there right next

[00:39:23] to a hundred.

[00:39:23] Yep.

[00:39:24] Right next to a hundred dollar bills.

[00:39:27] I know.

[00:39:28] I do like them gold backs.

[00:39:29] I haven't heard, uh, I haven't heard from him in a while.

[00:39:32] I got to get him on the network, Jeremy.

[00:39:34] Oh my gosh.

[00:39:35] Yeah.

[00:39:36] They have lately.

[00:39:36] They, they have one or two more states since we talked.

[00:39:42] Oh, do they?

[00:39:43] Yeah.

[00:39:44] I think it was Tennessee and, uh, sheesh, what was the other one?

[00:39:49] I remember where them working on Tennessee.

[00:39:52] Yeah.

[00:39:52] But here's the thing.

[00:39:54] Gold, gold now went up.

[00:39:56] So gold backs of course went up.

[00:40:00] Yeah.

[00:40:00] Right.

[00:40:01] Yeah.

[00:40:03] So these are the things that Maria saw.

[00:40:06] Not, not only the, the thing which got me upset to death was candles.

[00:40:11] Candles.

[00:40:12] Candles.

[00:40:12] They had candles.

[00:40:14] Gosh.

[00:40:15] You really want a fire hazard, like five, 10 candles, but that's, that's fine.

[00:40:21] Everybody had candles.

[00:40:23] The storage of the wheat.

[00:40:24] Oh, I see.

[00:40:25] That was a big problem for them.

[00:40:27] Yeah.

[00:40:27] They stored wheat in an outbuilding.

[00:40:30] It kind of looked like a, uh, plastic.

[00:40:33] Well, it kind of looked like a, uh, cargo container and the door was wide open, which

[00:40:40] they never discussed why the door was wide open.

[00:40:44] You know, did someone leave it open?

[00:40:47] Did someone get in there?

[00:40:49] Get in there.

[00:40:50] Yeah.

[00:40:51] But the wood.

[00:40:53] Let's get into it.

[00:40:54] I don't know if you know what is that we have them here in the forest as well.

[00:40:58] We didn't know about them until here.

[00:41:02] So wood rots are smaller.

[00:41:03] Their tail is as big as their body.

[00:41:07] They make such an image and they live up in trees and the new erratic.

[00:41:13] And they were all, yeah, through the plastic.

[00:41:16] So what they did, they have their wheat, like in those containers, uh, square one for water,

[00:41:24] which is plastic.

[00:41:25] So don't store.

[00:41:26] Yeah.

[00:41:27] They stored the wheat in those plastic, uh, metal square containers that, uh, some people

[00:41:35] store water in them.

[00:41:36] Oh yeah.

[00:41:37] Yeah.

[00:41:38] The, uh, they, they have a name, but I can't remember the name of them.

[00:41:42] Yeah.

[00:41:43] I want to say con X, but that's the shipping container.

[00:41:46] Yeah.

[00:41:47] They have a metal frame.

[00:41:48] Yeah.

[00:41:49] Aluminum metal.

[00:41:50] Like 90 gallon, 200 gallon.

[00:41:53] Exactly.

[00:41:54] Exactly.

[00:41:55] IBC totes is what they're called.

[00:41:57] There you go.

[00:41:59] Another mistake.

[00:42:00] Big mistake.

[00:42:01] They put two young boys together to do the.

[00:42:06] Yeah.

[00:42:07] Yeah.

[00:42:07] So they had different spots around the perimeter.

[00:42:11] So the, the, the guy that was in security, he brought, what did he say?

[00:42:16] 15 guys with him?

[00:42:18] Kind of.

[00:42:18] Yeah.

[00:42:19] And, and he knew right away, 15 guys wasn't enough.

[00:42:23] And we've talked about this.

[00:42:25] Yeah.

[00:42:25] Uh, every time we talk about security and, uh, that was probably what we argue about most

[00:42:32] last night.

[00:42:33] Not only food as well.

[00:42:36] We don't have enough food.

[00:42:38] Uh, and this movie, uh, me is, uh, the guy and David is the woman.

[00:42:46] Yeah.

[00:42:46] Yeah.

[00:42:47] So this guy's wife, um, she wanted to, uh, be generous with the food and, you know, stuff

[00:42:57] that they were going to throw away because people were lining up at their gate.

[00:43:02] They were not in the middle.

[00:43:03] Yeah.

[00:43:04] It is what David does.

[00:43:06] He's telling you are show that.

[00:43:09] No, I'm not telling.

[00:43:10] And it's not, I'm not telling anybody that.

[00:43:14] Jeez.

[00:43:16] So, um, they were not out in the middle of nowhere.

[00:43:22] As a matter of fact, a hard stand road kind of went through their property.

[00:43:29] Oh, wow.

[00:43:30] And they had a gate and you could see the town, whatever town this was from their property.

[00:43:38] Oh, so they, yeah, this was not a very good location for a survival retreat.

[00:43:45] So they were definitely going to have some, uh, force on force sooner or later in that location.

[00:43:53] Yes.

[00:43:54] And, um, unlike Fortitude Ranch, which is out in the middle of nowhere.

[00:43:59] Yeah.

[00:43:59] Nobody's going to even make it.

[00:44:01] Yeah.

[00:44:02] If you get to the gate of Fortitude Ranch.

[00:44:05] Wow.

[00:44:06] Wow.

[00:44:08] You, you really made a trip.

[00:44:11] You might deserve a pass in.

[00:44:13] Yeah.

[00:44:14] Yeah.

[00:44:14] When the people are hungry and they don't have nothing, they will go.

[00:44:19] Yeah.

[00:44:20] Well, there were, there were probably a hundred people at the gate of this thing.

[00:44:25] Oh, wow.

[00:44:26] Yeah.

[00:44:27] And the security guy.

[00:44:28] Oh, he screwed up big time.

[00:44:30] Yes.

[00:44:31] Jesus.

[00:44:31] And everybody knew that he had this stuff.

[00:44:34] Yeah, of course.

[00:44:35] You got a big gated compound.

[00:44:37] They know what you got in there.

[00:44:38] Well, the, the, the one couple fan was a guy worked on his fireplace.

[00:44:46] So he had been in the compound and did work for the guy and he knew what this guy was doing.

[00:44:53] And he said, you know, when his kids and his family was threatened, Hey, we'll go to this guy's house.

[00:45:00] He'll let me in.

[00:45:01] And of course he didn't, but, um, yeah.

[00:45:05] Yeah.

[00:45:05] Okay.

[00:45:06] What was the discussion between me and David?

[00:45:09] This guy, he didn't have a gun.

[00:45:11] The last meal in his plate was macaroni, half a, uh,

[00:45:18] Ramen.

[00:45:19] Yes.

[00:45:19] And, uh, cucumber, you know, um, yeah.

[00:45:23] So that's what he has.

[00:45:25] So he has nothing.

[00:45:26] How the heck you prep.

[00:45:27] And then you prep, you.

[00:45:29] Yeah.

[00:45:29] But this, this guy, prepper, he was just the guy.

[00:45:33] Yeah.

[00:45:34] They were, they were staying in their house.

[00:45:36] Let's go to this guy because David Jones.

[00:45:39] Yeah.

[00:45:39] Does everything.

[00:45:40] Let's go to him.

[00:45:42] No, no one knows.

[00:45:43] This is what our argument was last night.

[00:45:46] If you want to know.

[00:45:47] Maria thought she thinks a hundred people in your driveway.

[00:45:51] Yeah.

[00:45:51] She thinks everybody on prepper broadcasting network knows where I live and would, would come here.

[00:46:00] Okay.

[00:46:00] Don't come guys, because I'm going to shoot you all.

[00:46:03] I don't have any people.

[00:46:06] Yeah.

[00:46:07] I, I seriously, seriously, I was trying to explain to David, I have to go to my food.

[00:46:13] Yeah.

[00:46:14] Because some of it I have like.

[00:46:16] Mom, everybody's in the same boat.

[00:46:19] You, you go.

[00:46:20] Don't know if I have three months.

[00:46:21] It's, it's like a graph.

[00:46:24] Yeah.

[00:46:25] Sometimes you're really, really high on the graph.

[00:46:27] Sometimes you're low and it goes up and down and up and down.

[00:46:30] And I think right now we're at a low part, not, not the lowest we've ever been, but it's,

[00:46:38] it's definitely not the highest.

[00:46:41] It's definitely not.

[00:46:42] Yeah.

[00:46:42] But people, they're going to feel you are the, the Holy grail.

[00:46:49] Yeah.

[00:46:49] Come here.

[00:46:50] And then what do you do?

[00:46:52] They're not coming.

[00:46:53] They got a long way to go to get to you guys.

[00:46:57] Yeah.

[00:46:58] Yeah.

[00:47:01] Yeah.

[00:47:02] Well, have nothing.

[00:47:03] Yeah.

[00:47:03] But they'll stop at a Walmart.

[00:47:05] They'll stop at a seven 11 before they get here.

[00:47:09] Anyway, read some of the stuff that you made notes on.

[00:47:14] That Tesla we did go over.

[00:47:16] The corn, the wheat.

[00:47:18] I come up with some ideas.

[00:47:22] Those were tips.

[00:47:23] The satellite phone was the best.

[00:47:25] Yeah.

[00:47:26] But a tractor supply, for example.

[00:47:29] So you cannot go to a regular store because people is going to be in there and kill you.

[00:47:34] You cannot go in.

[00:47:35] Right.

[00:47:36] But if you go to a tractor supply, there is corn or organic.

[00:47:40] Organic.

[00:47:41] Non-GMO.

[00:47:42] Whole corn.

[00:47:44] Yeah.

[00:47:44] For God, $17, 450 or 40 pound bag.

[00:47:49] I got some.

[00:47:50] You can grind it.

[00:47:51] You can boil it.

[00:47:52] You can do anything you want.

[00:47:54] Sprout it.

[00:47:55] Exactly.

[00:47:55] Uh, we have a guy which has non-GMO.

[00:48:00] We can go and get wheat from there.

[00:48:02] Like 10 bags, $14, 50 pound bag.

[00:48:07] You have 10 bags.

[00:48:09] You can do a lot of that.

[00:48:11] It's a good price.

[00:48:13] Yeah.

[00:48:13] Well, we go right to the guy.

[00:48:16] We go right to the granary.

[00:48:18] It's about like an hour from our house.

[00:48:21] He's in Maryland, right across the line.

[00:48:25] Okay.

[00:48:25] From, from, uh, West Virginia.

[00:48:28] So, uh, it's, it's not far.

[00:48:31] And we go there with the cargo trailer that I sleep in when we're at prepper camp.

[00:48:37] And we, we load up.

[00:48:39] Uh-oh.

[00:48:40] Did I lose you?

[00:48:41] No, I'm here.

[00:48:43] Oh, okay.

[00:48:44] I saw the screen change.

[00:48:46] That's what we're gonna do.

[00:48:48] I shrink it now.

[00:48:51] And then a few things that can do it with.

[00:48:54] Yeah.

[00:48:55] So the, in, in the movie, they had some stores that they had and, and their big plan was to try and plant them, sprout them, and this kind of stuff to make more food.

[00:49:10] And some of the things they already had established, like their grapevines and stuff like that.

[00:49:17] But they are heavily on, uh, planting.

[00:49:20] Yeah.

[00:49:21] And.

[00:49:22] We didn't see any livestock in this.

[00:49:24] The other thing was, I'm gonna go out of the door with no vest on him.

[00:49:31] Yeah.

[00:49:32] And if it's needed, I will strike him in the head, put the vest on him or go and stay there.

[00:49:37] Well, you remember the other day when I said, we're gonna have pegs by the door with your belt.

[00:49:44] Yeah, I love that.

[00:49:44] And the things that were on it.

[00:49:46] This guy goes out.

[00:49:48] I don't even think he had a gun.

[00:49:50] No, he had a gun because they shoot each other.

[00:49:53] But the other guy.

[00:49:55] So what happened from the town, they come to get his foot.

[00:49:59] Yeah.

[00:49:59] So it will be like in Winchester, they find out, oh, Dave Jones or Fortitude Ranch.

[00:50:04] They have some food in there and we have sheep.

[00:50:07] Yeah.

[00:50:08] And the guy goes and says, equitable debt distribution, uh, amongst the population.

[00:50:16] They're gonna come and confiscate your stuff that you spent years and years accumulating for equitable distribution.

[00:50:29] Yeah, but that's what happened.

[00:50:30] It was a time with the SWAT, uh, you know, group and everything.

[00:50:35] Another thing, as a husband and wife, you have to be together in the same will.

[00:50:41] You know, because they were not.

[00:50:44] Just like these two were not.

[00:50:46] Me and Dave, we are not.

[00:50:49] Oh, she thinks we're not.

[00:50:52] She thinks.

[00:50:54] And so he was trying to calculate for his wife that we have this amount of food.

[00:51:00] The winter is gonna put us behind if we get more people in, then we're gonna have to starve our kids.

[00:51:06] Same here.

[00:51:08] David cannot understand that.

[00:51:10] I am in charge of food and I know what I have under my roof.

[00:51:14] He doesn't know because he doesn't.

[00:51:17] Yeah.

[00:51:17] You know, I don't know shit.

[00:51:18] How much you have downstairs?

[00:51:20] I know as much as you know.

[00:51:23] Oh, we need to.

[00:51:24] We need to take.

[00:51:25] Well, now you can see why we fight last night.

[00:51:29] So what was the this is the confusing part about this movie for me?

[00:51:34] Okay.

[00:51:35] What was the point of him creating this shit show for his family and himself to deal with?

[00:51:42] Like if he was a guy.

[00:51:44] Yeah, he was a rich guy.

[00:51:47] Yeah.

[00:51:48] Well, why?

[00:51:49] Why on earth would you want a bunch of random people to deal with?

[00:51:55] I'm not people at the gate.

[00:51:57] I'm talking about the people he invited in to take care of.

[00:52:00] Yeah, he needed protection.

[00:52:02] Yeah.

[00:52:03] He had put the word out.

[00:52:05] Okay, that he needed security.

[00:52:07] He was hiring the people that he wanted to be part of the compound.

[00:52:13] Unlike Fortitude Ranch, where it's a membership.

[00:52:17] This guy was actually wanting to build a compound of people that he paid hired.

[00:52:26] Oh, yeah.

[00:52:27] So yeah.

[00:52:28] Yeah.

[00:52:29] The guy for security.

[00:52:30] And and this was another thing during during their talks.

[00:52:35] Okay.

[00:52:36] The security guy said, hey, these other people, they need to be trained up.

[00:52:42] They need to know how to shoot a gun, defend this place, blah, blah, blah.

[00:52:47] And and they ended up striking a deal where the other guy said, okay, I'll these people will learn that you'll train them.

[00:52:59] But your guys need to know how to plant grow food, you know, harvest all that kind of stuff.

[00:53:08] Yeah.

[00:53:09] So they start a deal.

[00:53:10] Yeah.

[00:53:11] And and one of the security guys goes to the to the head of the security guy.

[00:53:18] And he says, hey, let's just take this place over.

[00:53:23] He says, let's take it over because these guys are clueless.

[00:53:27] Clueless.

[00:53:29] Yeah, that's the whole thing.

[00:53:30] You put your assets in danger in so many ways.

[00:53:34] Yeah.

[00:53:35] Not knowing who you will bring and you are not to say when when the head on the dog was shot in 10 days, you know, in coma, the wife left the other one.

[00:53:48] See, you're going to see what's happened.

[00:53:50] You're giving away way too much.

[00:53:52] Yeah.

[00:53:53] That's what you're going to do.

[00:53:54] I'm going to this summer.

[00:53:56] I'm going to get so good at shacking shooting.

[00:54:00] All in it, whatever.

[00:54:02] Yeah.

[00:54:03] I'm already good.

[00:54:05] Yeah.

[00:54:06] Yeah.

[00:54:06] As a matter of fact, I should have very full job.

[00:54:09] I should run another 50 meters.

[00:54:14] Okay.

[00:54:14] None of that's true, but it's true.

[00:54:17] Okay.

[00:54:17] Yeah.

[00:54:17] Yeah.

[00:54:18] You're a better shot than I am.

[00:54:24] We need some tax show back from that army.

[00:54:27] If that's the truth.

[00:54:29] Yeah, there, there was just though it's, it's not a movie that preppers will go and learn anything from.

[00:54:37] Yeah.

[00:54:38] Okay.

[00:54:39] It's a, it's a movie for the general population.

[00:54:43] Uh, and it's, it's kind of like.

[00:54:46] The.

[00:54:47] You can learn from their mistakes.

[00:54:49] Yeah.

[00:54:49] Like we did.

[00:54:50] It's the interaction and human factor.

[00:54:54] They're more than the, what you need to do to prep, what you need to do, you know, X, Y, Z, blah, blah, blah.

[00:55:02] Um, you, you won't learn any of that.

[00:55:06] So

[00:55:25] It was after and we were home and we were talking about the different situations that came up.

[00:55:33] And, uh, that's, that's when.

[00:55:37] Why don't you ask him what I said?

[00:55:40] What?

[00:55:41] So you just let someone come here with nothing.

[00:55:44] No, I don't let anybody come here with nothing.

[00:55:47] This is what you were with last night.

[00:55:49] Okay.

[00:55:50] There's.

[00:55:51] There's.

[00:55:51] Me.

[00:55:52] I have 10 years.

[00:55:54] Broking my back.

[00:55:56] Trying and you know, fixing things up.

[00:55:59] Yeah.

[00:56:00] And raising sheep, quail, rabbits, and it's an experience because not everything works.

[00:56:08] Right.

[00:56:09] Not everything works.

[00:56:11] You're telling me.

[00:56:12] And not every.

[00:56:13] Well, how, how'd you do that?

[00:56:17] I don't know.

[00:56:19] Did they break?

[00:56:21] Oh, no, no.

[00:56:22] I mean, the couple were dead.

[00:56:25] Yeah.

[00:56:26] Yeah.

[00:56:26] That's not good.

[00:56:27] I never have that.

[00:56:29] I know.

[00:56:29] Yeah, but we've been extremely lucky.

[00:56:32] Nah.

[00:56:32] Did you put vinegar on their water?

[00:56:36] No.

[00:56:37] Okay.

[00:56:38] I will.

[00:56:39] Vinegar on their water all the time.

[00:56:40] And if you think they are sick, go get the vermictine, the injectable one from a tractor

[00:56:48] supply.

[00:56:49] Okay.

[00:56:50] And you put, I will tell you, I'll tell David how much to tell you to put in one gallon.

[00:56:55] Yeah.

[00:56:56] When we did that quail thing, you really should have been talking to Maria.

[00:57:02] Yeah.

[00:57:02] I just gave you the 10,000 foot view.

[00:57:06] Oh, well, it helped.

[00:57:07] Oh, yeah.

[00:57:08] I mean, it's, it's everything I knew about quail.

[00:57:11] You guys, you should understand that David is the view.

[00:57:16] No, I am the, I am the unskilled laborer.

[00:57:20] Everybody knows that.

[00:57:21] You're the biggest prepper in this house.

[00:57:23] Okay.

[00:57:24] You tell me what problem you have and I will solve for you.

[00:57:28] I think you might be right.

[00:57:29] They might be sick.

[00:57:30] They could have some kind of illness.

[00:57:33] It's possible.

[00:57:34] I don't think it's been real cold there.

[00:57:38] Nah, not too bad.

[00:57:39] I mean, a couple cold, cold nights, but they're, you know, there's eight of them in

[00:57:43] a small, pretty small coop.

[00:57:44] So they definitely keep warm, I think.

[00:57:48] Oh, yeah.

[00:57:49] Oh, yeah.

[00:57:50] You mean you don't have a heat lamp at them?

[00:57:54] No, I don't have a heat lamp.

[00:57:56] Should I have a heat lamp?

[00:57:58] I mean, I have a heat lamp.

[00:57:59] I just don't have it pointed at them.

[00:58:02] Well, the heat lamp will help them also heal.

[00:58:06] But if they die out of nowhere, you're going to have to go to, I will, I know, I think you

[00:58:13] put one CC in one gallon or two CC.

[00:58:18] I will tell you exactly how much is it.

[00:58:20] The vermictine injectable.

[00:58:22] If they're sick.

[00:58:23] You go get one of these and then you put it in your fridge and you're going to have that, you know,

[00:58:28] in your fridge for your hands and for everything you have, like, you know, quills or stuff.

[00:58:34] But the apple cider vinegar is something I didn't think of.

[00:58:39] And we put a cap full in the water.

[00:58:42] You see, I have it in each coop because David was asking me yesterday, what is this here?

[00:58:48] And I say, I put in.

[00:58:49] So I put like a tablespoon and a gallon of water.

[00:58:52] But now you are some sure they have some kind of disease.

[00:58:56] Could be.

[00:58:58] And if you don't treat them, they get a wall fall down.

[00:59:01] They'll all die.

[00:59:03] So ivermectin is the way to go.

[00:59:05] I have ivermectin.

[00:59:07] What kind?

[00:59:08] What form?

[00:59:10] I got a couple.

[00:59:11] I got dog kind and pill form.

[00:59:15] Hmm.

[00:59:16] Well, what I know for the hens and the chickens, it's the injectable form.

[00:59:22] And you put it in the water and you put it in their water to drink.

[00:59:27] I don't know what is the quantity that form.

[00:59:31] I know the injectable form.

[00:59:33] I might be able to find it.

[00:59:34] Yeah, you can look up.

[00:59:35] Yeah.

[00:59:38] That's good to know, though.

[00:59:39] That's a good quick fix.

[00:59:42] You know what I think?

[00:59:43] So what's for the.

[00:59:46] How much sun do you guys quail get?

[00:59:51] What's that?

[00:59:52] Sun.

[00:59:53] How much sun do they get?

[00:59:57] They were in the shade all the time, pretty much.

[01:00:00] The cliffs?

[01:00:01] Yes.

[01:00:03] We kept them in a.

[01:00:04] In a cave.

[01:00:05] I don't remember where they're at in the cover cage.

[01:00:08] Yeah.

[01:00:08] But the front is open, right?

[01:00:10] The front is open.

[01:00:11] Yeah.

[01:00:13] I never have the one die.

[01:00:16] I never have any disease.

[01:00:18] The only problem I have.

[01:00:19] That one that broke his neck.

[01:00:21] Yeah.

[01:00:21] Only one.

[01:00:22] Yeah.

[01:00:22] It flew and broke their neck.

[01:00:24] But the other they will fight.

[01:00:27] Yeah, they do fight.

[01:00:28] If you have more roosters.

[01:00:30] But nothing than that.

[01:00:33] Yeah.

[01:00:33] I don't know.

[01:00:34] I'll let you know.

[01:00:35] I'll keep you posted, but.

[01:00:37] Was.

[01:00:37] Was the dead bodies.

[01:00:39] Did they have really packed heads?

[01:00:41] And necks?

[01:00:43] Did you open one up and look at the liver?

[01:00:48] I know.

[01:00:49] I definitely didn't dissect it.

[01:00:50] Okay.

[01:00:50] You should.

[01:00:52] You should.

[01:00:53] And if you see spots on the liver, that means it's coccidia.

[01:00:57] Okay.

[01:00:57] And that's another kind of treatment.

[01:00:59] Do you have wire on the floor?

[01:01:02] Uh.

[01:01:03] Yeah.

[01:01:03] They don't run around in their poop.

[01:01:05] No.

[01:01:06] Oh, no, no, no.

[01:01:07] No.

[01:01:07] Yeah.

[01:01:08] We have a.

[01:01:08] The coop is set up so that they are separated from their poop.

[01:01:12] It falls to a tray beneath.

[01:01:15] Okay.

[01:01:16] Yeah.

[01:01:17] Well, they still get it.

[01:01:20] Yeah.

[01:01:22] Okay.

[01:01:23] Continue the movie.

[01:01:24] Okay.

[01:01:24] Well, we were going to talk about other prepper movies.

[01:01:28] Is that what you wanted to do?

[01:01:32] Well, I mean, we can.

[01:01:33] That's fine.

[01:01:33] It doesn't matter.

[01:01:34] No, I.

[01:01:35] In the back channel, you were saying about what you learned from other prepper movies.

[01:01:42] Oh.

[01:01:43] I was.

[01:01:44] I was talking.

[01:01:45] Um.

[01:01:46] I think the way the show's gone tonight, we should go the way that the show is going

[01:01:50] with.

[01:01:51] We could stay on movies.

[01:01:52] I was talking about prepper gems like.

[01:01:54] Uh.

[01:01:55] But I'll do that as the topic for tomorrow's show.

[01:01:58] Oh, okay.

[01:01:59] I was talking going and finding stuff.

[01:02:02] Yeah.

[01:02:03] You don't have real, real stuff.

[01:02:07] No.

[01:02:08] Oh my God.

[01:02:09] But I did tell him the last time that 1883, that Yellowstone 1883.

[01:02:17] Yeah.

[01:02:17] Oh my gosh.

[01:02:19] Oh my gosh.

[01:02:20] Oh my gosh.

[01:02:20] Have the tissues ready for the.

[01:02:23] For the.

[01:02:25] Towels.

[01:02:26] Towels.

[01:02:26] Have the tissues ready for the final episode.

[01:02:29] That's a sad one.

[01:02:31] Oh, I'll tell you what I watched the other day.

[01:02:32] That was good.

[01:02:34] Yeah.

[01:02:34] The second time or maybe the third time.

[01:02:36] It was a take shelter with Michael Shannon.

[01:02:40] You ever watch that?

[01:02:43] No.

[01:02:44] That's like the birth of a prepper movie.

[01:02:46] Really?

[01:02:47] Yeah.

[01:02:48] You know, Michael Shannon.

[01:02:49] Yeah.

[01:02:50] He.

[01:02:52] He plays this guy.

[01:02:54] I think they're out in Kansas or so.

[01:02:55] I don't know where they're at.

[01:02:56] They're somewhere flat and big.

[01:02:58] Yeah.

[01:02:59] He keeps having these dreams like these visions about.

[01:03:03] The end of everything.

[01:03:06] And.

[01:03:06] And.

[01:03:07] Wow.

[01:03:07] He starts renovating his storm shelter.

[01:03:10] They got like a tornado shelter out back.

[01:03:12] Cause they're clearly in the great plains.

[01:03:14] Yeah.

[01:03:15] Yeah.

[01:03:15] And I mean, he starts getting totally obsessed.

[01:03:18] With getting this shelter open.

[01:03:20] He winds up putting a connex next to it.

[01:03:22] And then expanding it out.

[01:03:24] And.

[01:03:26] You know, he kind of starts to go nuts, to be honest with you.

[01:03:29] He's taken out all kinds of books.

[01:03:31] Prepper books from the library.

[01:03:34] Yeah.

[01:03:34] It's a good book.

[01:03:35] We all know.

[01:03:36] It's a good movie.

[01:03:36] Yeah.

[01:03:37] We all know it can happen.

[01:03:41] Oh yeah.

[01:03:42] Especially in them early stages, man.

[01:03:44] Yeah.

[01:03:44] Where you get crazy and you're like.

[01:03:47] Ah.

[01:03:49] What do you like?

[01:03:50] Do you like the setup?

[01:03:51] Like.

[01:03:52] I always think there's like three types of prepper movies.

[01:03:56] There's.

[01:03:56] Post apocalyptic.

[01:03:58] It's all over.

[01:04:00] Yeah.

[01:04:01] Disaster core.

[01:04:02] Which is like.

[01:04:04] It's all happening right here and now.

[01:04:06] You know what I mean?

[01:04:07] So instead of like.

[01:04:07] Yeah.

[01:04:07] It's like.

[01:04:08] It's like the day.

[01:04:09] After tomorrow or whatever that movie was.

[01:04:12] Yeah.

[01:04:12] And then there's sort of the.

[01:04:14] The suspenseful.

[01:04:16] Kind of.

[01:04:18] You know what was contagion?

[01:04:21] The.

[01:04:22] Oh yeah.

[01:04:23] The movie that I'm talking about similar to that style.

[01:04:26] Contagion is very similar to that style where it's basically the build up to the big moment.

[01:04:31] Sort of like.

[01:04:32] Yeah.

[01:04:33] Deep impact.

[01:04:34] Yeah.

[01:04:36] Deep impact.

[01:04:36] It was like all build up.

[01:04:38] You know?

[01:04:38] Yeah.

[01:04:39] Yeah.

[01:04:39] Those are kind of my favorite.

[01:04:41] You know?

[01:04:42] I'm not a big fan of the big multi-billion dollar.

[01:04:46] Graphics.

[01:04:47] Disaster.

[01:04:47] The whole world's falling apart.

[01:04:49] Movies.

[01:04:50] Right.

[01:04:51] I used to write them.

[01:04:52] I did.

[01:04:54] Oh yeah.

[01:04:56] I did tell them.

[01:04:56] The president didn't step down.

[01:04:58] Oh.

[01:04:59] Okay.

[01:04:59] Yeah.

[01:05:01] I kind of like.

[01:05:03] I kind of like the.

[01:05:05] The deep impact one.

[01:05:08] And the.

[01:05:10] Post apocalyptic one.

[01:05:11] Because you know.

[01:05:12] I think of the road.

[01:05:14] The road didn't.

[01:05:15] Didn't tell you exactly what happened.

[01:05:18] Yeah.

[01:05:19] The road.

[01:05:19] I mean.

[01:05:20] Yeah.

[01:05:21] And and it was there.

[01:05:23] You know.

[01:05:24] And the.

[01:05:24] And the wife couldn't take it anymore.

[01:05:26] She just goes out in the snow and dies.

[01:05:29] Yeah.

[01:05:29] And.

[01:05:30] Yeah.

[01:05:31] And it.

[01:05:32] Uh.

[01:05:33] Well this is what I'm keeping.

[01:05:35] Telling to David.

[01:05:36] I can't go there out in the forest.

[01:05:38] Especially when it's such a.

[01:05:41] Uh.

[01:05:41] You know.

[01:05:42] Terrible outside.

[01:05:43] I.

[01:05:43] If I go there.

[01:05:44] And I stay for two days.

[01:05:45] I'm going to die.

[01:05:46] You know my.

[01:05:47] My.

[01:05:48] Okay.

[01:05:50] My mini bug out plan.

[01:05:52] Right.

[01:05:52] You know.

[01:05:53] Yeah.

[01:05:53] I love it.

[01:05:54] She.

[01:05:54] I know.

[01:05:56] She's.

[01:05:56] He can't do that.

[01:05:58] And I'm like.

[01:05:59] You can't do that.

[01:06:02] Oh yeah.

[01:06:03] You know.

[01:06:04] We'll go up over the hill.

[01:06:06] And go to the old man shack.

[01:06:08] Yeah.

[01:06:10] Yeah.

[01:06:10] Bury a cache.

[01:06:12] With the freaking wood stove.

[01:06:13] And a tent in it.

[01:06:15] Yeah.

[01:06:16] You know.

[01:06:16] Everything.

[01:06:16] It'd be good to go.

[01:06:18] Yep.

[01:06:19] Well.

[01:06:19] Yeah.

[01:06:19] I love that plan.

[01:06:20] Yeah.

[01:06:21] I think I'll just stay here.

[01:06:24] Yeah.

[01:06:24] And I'll do what.

[01:06:25] Yeah.

[01:06:26] I'll do such a good.

[01:06:28] Yeah.

[01:06:28] As a matter of fact.

[01:06:29] I have one tonight.

[01:06:30] You know what she told me one time.

[01:06:32] And this really rings true.

[01:06:35] She said nobody kills the cook.

[01:06:40] I'm like.

[01:06:41] Wow.

[01:06:42] That's right.

[01:06:44] James.

[01:06:44] And the cook can kill everybody.

[01:06:46] Nice drops of bread.

[01:06:48] And a nice stew.

[01:06:50] Put few drops of pork root.

[01:06:52] Which I have.

[01:06:53] Yeah.

[01:06:53] And we'll kill them right out.

[01:06:55] That's the way to do it.

[01:06:56] And they'll die happy.

[01:06:58] That's the way to do it right there.

[01:07:00] Yeah.

[01:07:00] You can put whatever you want in the food.

[01:07:03] Lure men.

[01:07:05] Come on in.

[01:07:07] Try this.

[01:07:08] It's like.

[01:07:09] It's like Hansel and Gretel.

[01:07:11] Exactly.

[01:07:13] It happened in Ukraine.

[01:07:14] A lot of women did that.

[01:07:16] Not that they killed them with pork root.

[01:07:18] I don't even know if you know what that means.

[01:07:22] Poke root?

[01:07:22] Oh yeah.

[01:07:23] I mean I don't know if the audience does.

[01:07:25] It's poisonous.

[01:07:26] You've definitely walked by poke, Barry.

[01:07:28] It will kill you.

[01:07:30] It will kill you.

[01:07:33] One drop it will heal you.

[01:07:35] Five drops will kill you.

[01:07:38] Poke root.

[01:07:39] Everything in the damn poke is deadly isn't it?

[01:07:42] It's not a good plant.

[01:07:43] Poison. Yeah.

[01:07:44] It's not.

[01:07:45] Don't eat those berries.

[01:07:46] Don't eat those leaves.

[01:07:48] Don't eat those leaves.

[01:07:48] And you know what?

[01:07:49] If you don't know.

[01:07:50] And if you're new to foraging.

[01:07:53] Yeah.

[01:07:54] You might think it's a damn elderberry.

[01:07:55] So be careful.

[01:07:56] Because they start putting off these purple berries late in the season.

[01:08:00] And if you don't know what you're doing.

[01:08:02] You might say.

[01:08:03] Look honey.

[01:08:03] We found elderberries.

[01:08:05] Let's make some cough syrup.

[01:08:07] We're good to go.

[01:08:08] You should give them to your quails.

[01:08:12] They love them.

[01:08:14] And they are good for them.

[01:08:15] Pokeberries or elderberries?

[01:08:18] Pokeberries.

[01:08:19] Oh really?

[01:08:21] Yes.

[01:08:21] Good to know for the future.

[01:08:22] They will form colonies under the pokeberries staff.

[01:08:27] Oh good to know.

[01:08:29] We got tons.

[01:08:31] I got poke all over this freaking creek bed.

[01:08:35] You live down there close to the creek there.

[01:08:39] And that's they grow wherever there's a lot of water.

[01:08:43] Yeah.

[01:08:43] The poke leaves and shots you can eat them.

[01:08:47] But you have to boil and throw the water and boil again and boil again.

[01:08:51] Oof.

[01:08:52] In other words I can't eat them.

[01:08:55] Yeah.

[01:08:56] I wouldn't even try.

[01:08:58] I mean there's too many other things that can be eaten.

[01:09:00] Yeah.

[01:09:01] Definitely.

[01:09:02] Especially you guys.

[01:09:03] You guys got a forest of raspberries around you.

[01:09:06] Yeah.

[01:09:07] In the right time of year.

[01:09:10] But yeah there's a ton of good ones man.

[01:09:12] There's a ton of good prepper movies out there.

[01:09:15] You know I was watching that movie Prisoners the other day.

[01:09:18] And I forgot the dad's just a total prepper in it.

[01:09:20] I don't know if you remember that movie Prisoners.

[01:09:22] With Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman.

[01:09:25] It's not a prepper movie.

[01:09:27] The movie's all about this little girl gets taken by a lunatic.

[01:09:30] And they try to find her.

[01:09:32] But he's a straight up and down prepper.

[01:09:35] He goes down in his basement.

[01:09:36] He's all outfitted.

[01:09:38] It's a weird little wrinkle in the story that I forgot all about.

[01:09:42] Yeah.

[01:09:43] You know.

[01:09:44] Yeah.

[01:09:46] Well you know I kind of not able to talk about prepper movies without thinking about it.

[01:09:56] Right making some notes and stuff like that.

[01:10:00] But I did want to talk about things you never had a bad one of.

[01:10:07] I have never had a bad cold steel knife.

[01:10:13] Oh I see what you're saying.

[01:10:14] Every cold steel knife I've ever had.

[01:10:19] Great steel.

[01:10:21] Sharp.

[01:10:22] Does whatever it's supposed to do.

[01:10:28] Cold steel is a winner.

[01:10:33] Is a winner.

[01:10:35] There's never been a bad one.

[01:10:37] Smith and Wesson.

[01:10:38] I have never had a bad Smith and Wesson.

[01:10:42] And I've bought through the years as a police officer.

[01:10:47] But several different Smith and Wessons never had one that jammed.

[01:10:55] Didn't work right.

[01:10:57] Broke.

[01:10:59] Smith and Wesson.

[01:11:01] Yeah.

[01:11:01] That's a good one.

[01:11:02] 511 boots is one.

[01:11:05] Ah.

[01:11:06] I've had a lot of 511.

[01:11:09] Yeah.

[01:11:10] I've had some 511 gear that I thought I paid too much for.

[01:11:16] You know it didn't hold up.

[01:11:19] But you say the boots.

[01:11:21] Yeah I always get the 511 boots now.

[01:11:24] They were.

[01:11:25] I got a pair.

[01:11:27] You know my wife might have got me a pair.

[01:11:30] First.

[01:11:32] And.

[01:11:34] I don't know they just blew me away.

[01:11:36] I bought I bought another pair after that one.

[01:11:38] I'm actually after that one I bought a Wolverine pair that are really nice.

[01:11:42] But yeah.

[01:11:43] 511's man they go and go and go like I didn't wear them out.

[01:11:47] I got new a new pair like I gave the 511 blue ones to my son.

[01:11:53] I said well you can I mean whenever you need boots just wear these they're fine.

[01:11:58] And I mean yeah you know put miles on them.

[01:12:00] But yeah I like the 511 boots there.

[01:12:02] They're one of those.

[01:12:03] They're one of the good example of that for sure.

[01:12:06] Uh huh.

[01:12:08] Uh huh.

[01:12:08] So uh what's what's another thing that you've never had a bad one of?

[01:12:16] Uh Ruger.

[01:12:18] Yeah.

[01:12:19] Yeah.

[01:12:19] Good experience in the Ruger arms and they they always seem to do me good.

[01:12:24] Yeah.

[01:12:26] I'll tell you one that's cheap and kind of dumb.

[01:12:30] But I never had a bad one and that's uh Shemag.

[01:12:34] They just are what they are.

[01:12:36] I mean I guess you could buy one cheap enough that it wouldn't you know it would rip or something when you use it.

[01:12:41] But they're one of those things that it seems like you know they always seem to work.

[01:12:46] They always do what you need them to do when you need them to do it.

[01:12:50] They're a winner for sure.

[01:12:54] Uh what else?

[01:12:58] See now I'm thinking I'm thinking brand but it's also important to think about tool itself.

[01:13:04] Yeah.

[01:13:05] Let me think.

[01:13:12] This is a weird one.

[01:13:13] Well I've only had two so I don't know if that counts.

[01:13:16] What's that?

[01:13:17] I was gonna say pop up tents.

[01:13:19] I really like those.

[01:13:21] Oh yeah.

[01:13:22] But I've only had a couple.

[01:13:25] Yeah.

[01:13:25] I don't know if they're I don't know if that's a good enough uh you know test base.

[01:13:31] Yeah.

[01:13:33] Let's see let me think about the old EDC.

[01:13:37] Well even even uh multi tools you know uh for me uh it's uh it's kind of a flip of the coin uh Leatherman and Rue or Gerber.

[01:13:52] Yeah.

[01:13:53] Uh when the Leatherman came out I carried a Leatherman for the longest time.

[01:14:00] And then uh when Gerber came out with their one handed opening uh you know that was approved by the military I carried that thing.

[01:14:11] Uh but uh you know Gerber I have had bad Gerbers that yeah I don't know steal or you know they're just they're just not.

[01:14:24] Uh you know I can't say it's a hundred percent but cold steel that is a hundred percent.

[01:14:34] A winner.

[01:14:36] Winner.

[01:14:37] Every old light I've ever had is still worked and has just always been great.

[01:14:44] Yeah.

[01:14:45] The rechargeable old lights they're the best.

[01:14:48] You can't beat them.

[01:14:50] The battery life on them is insane.

[01:14:52] I don't know what what they do with their rechargeables but their battery life is crazy on the old lights.

[01:14:57] The output is crazy.

[01:14:59] They were one of those flashlight brands early on that really had the lumens edge.

[01:15:07] Like they were that they were one of those earliest flashlights that you could turn on full power and people would go like dude what the hell do you have in your hand.

[01:15:15] Yeah.

[01:15:15] I've never even seen a flashlight do that before.

[01:15:19] Yeah.

[01:15:20] Yeah they're they're always good.

[01:15:22] That's a tough one to be I'll tell you what.

[01:15:25] Um in the folding knife world.

[01:15:29] Uh let me go over all these knives I've had.

[01:15:31] I'm a Kershaw guy in the folding knife world man.

[01:15:34] I love it.

[01:15:36] Kershaw.

[01:15:37] Kershaw's really good.

[01:15:38] I don't know if I've ever had a bad one.

[01:15:40] I've had some I've had some that the design was a little weird.

[01:15:47] Yeah.

[01:15:48] Lend itself to functionality as well as I liked.

[01:15:53] Um but they always last you know what I mean they're always great.

[01:15:56] Yeah.

[01:16:00] Marie is trying to look up something.

[01:16:03] Oh you know what's a good one.

[01:16:05] Uh Rick Austin books Rick Austin books.

[01:16:09] Oh my gosh yes yes yes.

[01:16:34] I think there's four in total and and they're worth they're definitely worth having.

[01:16:39] I got all of them.

[01:16:40] Yeah they're great man.

[01:16:42] They are phenomenal.

[01:16:44] Never had a bad Rick Austin book.

[01:16:46] That's a good one.

[01:16:46] There you go.

[01:16:49] What else let's see.

[01:16:53] I know.

[01:16:53] Maybe we should come up with categories.

[01:16:55] You know what we should do is get like five of the hosts on come up with.

[01:17:00] That would be fun.

[01:17:02] Come up with categories.

[01:17:04] Uh shotguns pistols uh rifles um knives multi tools uh you know basic prepper tools and then go round robin.

[01:17:20] You know what I mean.

[01:17:21] Oh yeah.

[01:17:22] Yeah.
