Radio Check Incoming!!!

Listen up, PBN family. If you want a viable alternate emergency communications method, every Sunday, 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. We will be conducting a radio check with the community. You will need a POC-capable radio from Skycom PTT. These radios will come equipped with the Preppers National Radio Network talk group. Our radio checks will be in said talk group. Come 9 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, the Intrepid Commander will lead off with a radio check. Bring yourself. Bring your Skycom PTT radio. Bring a dad joke. I know some of you who are members out there have gotten back to me and told me that you have radios already. That is a hell of a turnaround time. being as I just mentioned it on the National Preparedness Month I think it was the 13th or 14th show we had Mike Harris on from Skycom PTT I don't know I'm not going to go into the back story I'll make it simple and easy you know what I mean SkycomPTT.com they have incredible capable radios for $ 199 $ 199 you know, you buy one for yourself, one for your wife, you can join the PBN or husband, you can join the PBN, uh, comm group every Sunday at 9 p.m., the radio checks will be quick, it'll be in and out, you know, it won't be a big, it's not about this big show, it's not a podcast, it's not, it's a, it's a check, it's, is my radio working, am I receiving this, how people sound from different places across the, across the country, and, um, and then we go about our separate ways, and, As I mentioned before, the whole thing is I want you to have your radio in your hand once per week, using it in the same way that you might call upon it in an emergency or disaster. So, to me, this represents what I always wanted to achieve with our comms group, which is let's get a viable alternate communications option, right? I can't build your PACE plan for you. Do you know what I mean? To be quite honest with you, I'm a podcast host who is here to help you on your preparedness journey and to have, you know, have good conversation, make it entertaining. For many of you, you existed here at PBN even before I existed here. And for many others, you know, you guys grew with us and were built into this family. I can't... do everything for you. You know what I mean? But what I can do and what I wanted to do when Chin and I started talking about what can we do with an emergency comms group, an emergency comms meetup? What can we do that will actually make a difference, right? Like, I don't want to do a talk, a live stream about comms once per month or once per week where we talk about different radios and that kind of thing. First of all, I'm not into radios like that. I'm really not. You know, Chin is my saving grace. That's why I give him all the props in the world and call him the comms wizard here at PBN. He's the man. Chin says pock and we say how high. Oh, God. Sorry. I couldn't resist. He's probably got a better word for it, but I might have to get him We might all have to get shirts that say that. Chin says Pac and we say how high. That'd be pretty fun. So anyhow, that's happening. Tonight, and I'm sorry, I haven't been on to be me very often. I haven't had a lot of time to be just James on the podcast. You know what I mean? I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. I miss it, though. I miss hanging with you guys, chatting about things. But it'll be back. Don't worry. It'll come back. I got a really big burden lifted off me today. It's not a burden. I can't refer to it this way. It's not fair to my former self. But I'm 99% sure all the revisions, all the writings, all the things are in for The Ultimate Prepper's Toolkit, my next book that's going to be published. And I'm blown away by it. It's going to be an amazing book for everybody. And it really is a book for everybody. You know what I mean? There's not... The appendix of the book itself is largely... Sorry, I had a phone call that had to come through. Oh, and now I can't decline it. That's my favorite kind of phone call. But it's largely an emergency... The back end of it, the back half of it, basically, the back... Not the back half, but the back of the book is in an emergency binder, basically. Right? So it's a collection of appendices that are all there for you to fill out there to do it your way. I think they're a little late to the game on that, but I don't know how many people have those. If you don't have one, you know, you should definitely have one. Mine. Is going to get upgraded and it's going to go into the binder with my Be Prepared Solutions plan. You know? I mean, look. There's some things that that plan spat out that I... I kind of took for granted. I hadn't done effectively. And not until looking at... That's sort of the benefit for a. You know, a prepper who's been at it a while to play around with these new technologies, guys. Because you... It's not about... I knew that... when I put my information into BePreparedSolutions.co that I knew I wasn't going to be blown away by every sentence. But what I also knew is that just like talking to any person, you sit down and have a conversation with any person and there's a really good chance that they're going to say something that you're never going to have really thought about before. Or they're going to present a situation to you that you have never really considered. And there were some things in that plan, particularly the tear sheets in that plan that are tailored towards emergency contacts and emergency contacts for your kids to have. Very cool concept, man. But, you know, there's been a large part of this prepping thing that has been relevatory. I don't even know if that's a word, relevatory, right? And what I mean by that, whether it's a word or not, a lot of it's been about revelation, right? Revelatory. What did I say? Relevatory? Revelatory. A lot of it's been about revelation. A lot of the political, right-wing, sort of conspiracy prepping, that whole sort of thing has been, you know, dominated by revelation. And I'm just here to tell you, like, I'm really, really, really bored of revelation. Not in the Bible. But I'm really bored of like, oh, my God. Oh, my God. You can't believe what this senator did. Oh, my goodness. You can't believe what happened in Congress. Oh, wow. My God. You can't believe the governor of this state did that. And the governor of that state did this. And you cannot believe the corruption. The daycare sent. The revelation after revelation after revelation, guys. I'm over it. I don't want to know. I don't want to discover any new things. I think, you know, it's like if the stove is on and I put my hand on the stove, on the glowing orange stove, and burn my hand and go, oh, the stove's hot, everyone. Like how many times do I have to put my hand on the stove before I go, yeah, I'm really like 100% sure the stove is hot. That's where I'm at with politics. That's where I'm at with governors and the social-cultural war, the justice system, the lunatics who run things all up and down major cities in the United States. the DAs, the whole thing. Yeah. Yeah, I know. It's corrupt. We've got to move on to the next piece, right? And that piece is what? What's next beyond the corruption? You've got a few options, right? You can prepare for it. You can run from it. Or you can dismantle it. And I'm in this weird position because I know I'm not running from it. Right? I know I've already prepared for it. But at some time in the very near future, I think it's going to come down to dismantling it also. And, you know, who cares if it's possible or not, right? You talk about the... democrat control in in big cities and in places like my beautiful city of richmond virginia who knows what's possible and what's not possible you know what i mean i don't know i don't want to go on a diatribe about uh me becoming some sort of a politician because if it even happens it's very far out we've got enough fish to fry here on the prepper broadcasting network right But I'm just saying, I know it gets you excited. I know it gets your heart beating a little bit. But I mean, for the last 10 years of my life, I've existed in a world where every single day someone posts something. Oh my goodness, you wouldn't believe, you couldn't believe. How on earth is it that this could be in a country like ours? You know what I mean? And people still go, wow, you're kidding. You won't listen. And look, even my wife do it. My wife and I do it. We'll be like, did you hear such and such and such and such? So I know it's a fun game. And that's what it is, right? And Dave Jones, the NBC guy, is the grand finale for the month. He's going to be the grand poobah of National Preparedness Month, the podcast series. Because he, I don't know, why not? Who else? You know what I mean? Who else but Dave Jones, the NBC guy? And what I'd like to talk to him about is the importance of history in prepping. Right? At first, when Dave Jones told me he was going to be a history teacher, I was like, oh, that's weird. And he had the impeccable Dave Jones line of, I tell him I can teach history real well because I lived through most of it. Which is phenomenal. But then you start thinking about it, and you start thinking, why do people prepare? Why do people prepare? Right? What do people prepare for? Almost always built off of some kind of historical data, right? Almost always we're dealing with some sort of historical data, be it storm data, right? War, travesty of some kind, right? Like some kind of sort of situation that we either see coming because we saw it in the past... We see it coming because we, you know what I mean? It's almost all tied to history. No one wakes up and goes, uh, I think it's going to just be better and better and better all the time. There's going to be no more storms, no more rain, no more wind, no nothing, no flooding, no lunacy at the ballot box, nothing. So I better start putting up food and water, right? I mean, you could argue that history might be one of the greatest, uh, One of the greatest fuel sources for the prepping community of all. Right? The moment you see something like riots in the streets and you look back and see, what happens when people riot like crazy? What happens when... What happens when radical ideological parties come into power in countries? What happens when wars break out? What happens when economies crash? Right? Tell me all this historical stuff and tell me what's what. And before long, you're... You know, you're at line in the Costco before you know it.
