[00:00:01] We are your lizard overlords. Stop listening to these preppers. Eat your crickets. Fight in the streets. Own nothing and love it.
[00:00:38] PBN Family would seem that the reports out of Davos of misinformation and disinformation being the greatest threat, even greater so than climate change.
[00:00:53] It would seem that this could be co-inciding. I don't really believe it. You tell me what you think, but it would seem to me that this is going to be a very fast moving take. This is going to be a very fast moving situation that we're seeing.
[00:01:10] Why do I say that? I received a message from Spreaker. Now, Spreaker has been my long standing ally all through COVID, all through January 6th, all through election 2020.
[00:01:27] Spreaker has stood with us when we were eliminated off of YouTube and all those coming YouTube was bullying us on a weekly basis before they got rid of us altogether.
[00:01:39] Spreaker is the host of the podcast network. They hold the archive, but they give us the space for the archive that we pay a sizable monthly fee for.
[00:01:56] They give us the ability to podcast live and to podcast direct through our phones like this, which is really cool. The Spreaker podcast app really defines what we're capable of doing in all the features from the 24-7 live to the live shows to even the pre-recorded podcasts.
[00:02:16] It all plays a role in what we do here at PBN and Spreaker has always given us great support in all of that.
[00:02:27] Today I receive a message from them and that message is that December 2024, the live feature of the Spreaker app will be gone.
[00:02:36] It will no longer be available. So we will no longer be able to use the Spreaker app to go live by December 2024.
[00:02:48] Now, what's even more interesting than that? You know, there's nuance, right? Everything is nuance.
[00:02:54] What's even more interesting than that is what they said beyond that, which kind of creeped me out, which kind of set up this whole situation.
[00:03:04] And what they said after that in the message was, so you might as well stop recording live now to give your listeners time for the transition.
[00:03:20] Now any normal person probably would just say, okay, that might be reasonable, right? We can wean the audience off the live content even though they love it.
[00:03:27] Like who that listens to a live show is going to be happy that it's not live anymore first and foremost?
[00:03:32] What it says to me, PBN, what it screams to me is that somebody in the leadership team with Spreaker had a conversation with others
[00:03:47] for probably people who know people from the whole Davos misinformation, disinformation nightmare or maybe even government.
[00:03:56] And I'm telling you what is coming and what is coming full steam ahead.
[00:04:01] And J. Ferg even messaged me this right after I started thinking about what we were going to do about Spreaker.
[00:04:07] She said, you know, what it feels like next is they're going to want to review all of our podcasts before they go out.
[00:04:13] And that'd be really easy to do. You know how easy it is to review a podcast now? Because there are transcripts, right?
[00:04:21] So your whole transcript, you can record a podcast and hit publish.
[00:04:26] Your transcript can be reviewed. Your transcript can be generated by AI.
[00:04:31] They're already companies that do that, right? They'll write a transcript for you.
[00:04:35] I mean, I was using something akin to that and paying for it like three years ago doing transcripts.
[00:04:44] So they can look at the transcript. They can highlight any words that they want, right?
[00:04:51] And if it has enough of those words or if it has any of those words and, you know, oops, we can't publish that.
[00:04:56] Sorry, misinformation and disinformation act. Our misinformation and disinformation policy was kicked in.
[00:05:03] We can't publish that. The way you get around that is by going live, right?
[00:05:10] The power of live is such that, you know, that's it.
[00:05:15] Like once it's said, it goes into your ear holes and there's no taking it back.
[00:05:20] That is the high wire that we do at PBN when you really stop and think about how amazing that is.
[00:05:26] It's unbelievable. You know what I mean?
[00:05:28] We've been doing live shows for how many years now and the hosts are so competent
[00:05:36] that they can not only flow to show, but we've never had anybody say anything absolutely outrageous.
[00:05:42] Not once. It's pretty amazing when you think about it.
[00:05:49] So I think, unfortunately, I think our ally Spreaker has thrown their hat into the ring with the lizards
[00:05:56] and that's going to...that means we have to seek a new host for our podcast network
[00:06:01] or we have to seek new opportunities altogether.
[00:06:06] So I'll be courting people here over the next few months.
[00:06:09] Now we have till December, but you know, we're preppers so...
[00:06:13] We're going to get it short up way before then.
[00:06:18] Listen, this is not for me to sit here and complain to you and to tell you,
[00:06:24] oh no, I've got a problem and I've got to fix it.
[00:06:26] What a great guy I am that I'm going to fix it or feel sorry for me because I have a problem.
[00:06:33] This is the first instance of a company like Spreaker saying we have to take action
[00:06:39] in order to get this misinformation, disinformation stuff under control.
[00:06:46] I just believe that's...I could be...that's my opinion.
[00:06:48] I believe that's what it is. Maybe that's not what it is.
[00:06:51] Their excuse to me was we're creating new services for our podcast hosts
[00:06:58] and our listeners that will be more beneficial than the live.
[00:07:01] So the live has to go away.
[00:07:04] Because then naturally I said, okay, well, we pay you guys a lot of money every month
[00:07:08] to go...you know, going...like when you open up the Spreaker app,
[00:07:14] the Spreaker app fundamentally has three features, right?
[00:07:19] The Spreaker app has three features.
[00:07:21] One feature is pre-record, one feature is 24-7 live and the other feature is live.
[00:07:26] So if you're removing 24-7 live and you're removing live,
[00:07:32] that's two out of the three features of the app gone.
[00:07:35] So naturally me being a businessman, I'd say, well, how much we cutting?
[00:07:43] How much is my bill going down?
[00:07:46] Like how much money am I going to save since you're cutting off a substantial amount
[00:07:50] of the features that I use with your service?
[00:07:54] You know, it'd be like really, to be honest with you,
[00:07:57] it'd be like your phone company calling you and saying,
[00:08:00] we're not going to use text message anymore, but we're going to charge you the same.
[00:08:04] And that's really what it's like.
[00:08:08] Like for those of you who talk more than you text like me,
[00:08:11] it'd be like them saying, no more...no, we're taking away text messaging,
[00:08:16] but we're going to charge you the exact same bill.
[00:08:19] You'd be like, what the...huh? That don't work that way man.
[00:08:24] So I expected, or at least half expected them to say,
[00:08:27] yeah well since we're not going to have the live feature,
[00:08:30] we can reduce the amount of money you pay per month.
[00:08:32] There's literal features that you pay for going away.
[00:08:36] But there are excuses. We have new things in the works,
[00:08:39] new services that are coming to help you and to help your listeners
[00:08:43] have a better experience.
[00:08:45] So I don't know what that means, but I'll be very surprised
[00:08:49] if any of it has anything to do with live.
[00:08:50] I think the death of live is something that's happening.
[00:08:55] I think the death of live is something that's going to happen.
[00:09:00] In other words, YouTube live face...
[00:09:02] and this really sucks because these live options
[00:09:05] are such a great way to monitor civil unrest.
[00:09:09] They really are.
[00:09:11] I mean it's one of my top Intel practices
[00:09:14] when dealing with civil unrest is look,
[00:09:18] find out what's happening,
[00:09:21] find out what the protest is,
[00:09:24] what its name is, what it's about
[00:09:25] and you can search it on social media
[00:09:27] preferably like Facebooks and Twitters.
[00:09:31] And you can see in real time what the hell's going on.
[00:09:35] You can watch it.
[00:09:36] You can watch the riot.
[00:09:37] You can see exactly where it is,
[00:09:39] what streets and so on and so forth.
[00:09:42] It's a very effective tool.
[00:09:43] But I don't want to get into the bigger picture
[00:09:50] about the rich and powerful and the kings
[00:09:52] and the control over this society that they have
[00:09:55] and the influence and the power and the money right now.
[00:09:58] But it's clear the lizards run things
[00:10:01] and it's clear that when they dictate something,
[00:10:04] companies shudder.
[00:10:07] And it's become crystal clear
[00:10:12] that we have to exist outside of that bubble
[00:10:15] like we always have.
[00:10:16] We've existed outside of the money
[00:10:18] and the influence that you could generate with YouTube.
[00:10:23] And I'm sure some of it's to our detriment.
[00:10:25] I'm sure we could have been much bigger
[00:10:26] and done much more had we played ball with YouTube.
[00:10:31] But whatever, you know,
[00:10:34] it's not all about money.
[00:10:35] It's not all about listeners.
[00:10:36] You know, it's about integrity and freedom.
[00:10:41] So now what's happening in my head
[00:10:43] is a brainstorming of, you know, what next?
[00:10:47] What's next? Do I find a new host?
[00:10:51] A new hosting service that props up my podcast network
[00:10:56] and aligns with me to some degree.
[00:11:01] And then maybe how many months down the line
[00:11:03] before I'm moving again, if this is the thing.
[00:11:08] See we've been steady on Sprieker since 2018, 19.
[00:11:12] Like they've been with us through it all.
[00:11:16] But this is a big problem.
[00:11:20] And again, leadership changes over time.
[00:11:22] You wind up one of these woke idiots
[00:11:24] in your leadership team over there at Sprieker
[00:11:26] and that's how these things happen, right?
[00:11:32] Do we become a host?
[00:11:34] Do we become the de facto podcast host
[00:11:37] for every podcast out there that exists
[00:11:39] that is sitting with crosshairs on it
[00:11:43] whether they know it or not?
[00:11:44] You know, that's the other thing.
[00:11:45] Do we want a podcast hosting opportunity
[00:11:49] for other podcasts that barter in disinformation?
[00:11:57] You know what I mean?
[00:12:00] I don't know.
[00:12:02] I want to bring this to your attention.
[00:12:03] I want you to understand that some of the things
[00:12:07] they say up there on high and the Davos
[00:12:10] and the WEF and the Bilderberg, you know,
[00:12:13] they like to say that all that stuff is way overblown
[00:12:16] and it's fodder for conspiracy theorists.
[00:12:19] And while I can't be 100% sure what Sprieker's real aim
[00:12:23] is behind getting rid of their life,
[00:12:26] I have to believe that censorship is involved.
[00:12:29] Okay?
[00:12:30] Just a quick check-in to let you know,
[00:12:33] keep your feelers out
[00:12:36] because I think we could be entering an age
[00:12:39] of rapid, mis- and disinformation censorship
[00:12:42] that might make your head spin.
[00:12:44] Talk to you soon.
