[00:01:16] one for another time because it was really on my mind, a friend of mine, you know,
[00:01:22] we were having, you know, we were having some discussions and, you know, ethnic
[00:01:28] food came up. He had some curry chicken and, you know, of course, you know, it just completely,
[00:01:39] you know, blew his mind, right? It was probably one of the best things that he's eaten.
[00:01:44] And we started talking about how we could use, you know, ethnic foods to prep, you
[00:01:50] know, because a lot of times, you know, ethnic foods are overlooked. So I was
[00:01:56] thinking of doing a show on that, you know, the different types of foods and stuff like
[00:02:01] that. And I think maybe next time around, that will be the thing to do because right
[00:02:08] now there's a few things based on, you know, other conversations that I've had
[00:02:18] that I want to talk about. And one of the things that I am going to talk about
[00:02:22] today is the ongoing drug shortage in the United States, you know, medicine, right?
[00:02:29] Medicine shortage. So that's going to be the main thing that we're going to talk
[00:02:36] about today. You know, we'll talk about, you know, we'll talk about some of the
[00:02:42] drugs, why they're short. I'll give you the website where you can go and you
[00:02:47] can check to see if, you know, the drug that you use, you know, if that's on the
[00:02:53] shortage list, I'll give you that website and we'll also take a look at,
[00:03:00] you know, the Israeli, you know, what's going on there in Israel. And we'll
[00:03:08] also, and I'll end with a look at, you know, the Red Heifer and the Ark of the
[00:03:18] Covenant. How's that? How's that for an ending, right? So good stuff here
[00:03:22] today. And I think I'm just going to go in that order. We'll take medicine
[00:03:25] first, then the Israeli offensive into into into into Rafa. Right. And then and
[00:03:42] then we'll end with, you know, a look at what's going on with the Red Heifer

[00:06:09] So let's take a look at the drug shortage. And this it's been coming
[00:06:19] up on a lot of different websites really. And you know, it's it's
[00:06:28] definitely you know, it's definitely causing a problem. I know that there
[00:06:36] are people who are waiting a dare so to get their their medicines that
[00:06:40] were prescribed right and and it's really becoming an issue. And when
[00:06:46] the pandemic broke if if you all remember well when the pandemic
[00:06:50] broke they said that they were you know, well the Trump
[00:06:53] administration you know that the problem with China really then flared
[00:06:58] up that we get what 86 percent of our drugs are you know from China
[00:07:05] and from India. And that's a that's a real problem. And it's a
[00:07:09] national that's a national security issue because if you know
[00:07:14] we ever have to go to war say with China if we had I had to had
[00:07:18] an you know problem with any of those countries right then we
[00:07:22] would be up the creek so to speak. But that that whole issue
[00:07:27] was never really addressed. You would think that they've spent
[00:07:30] billions of dollars on solar panels and stuff because that's the you
[00:07:35] know, the climate crisis is you know for them the biggest crisis
[00:07:39] you know of ever right. And I've spent billions and billions
[00:07:45] trillions of dollars at this point trying to recreate or you know
[00:07:49] our energy infrastructure that really haven't really worked when
[00:07:55] they could have spent you know, well probably what half of that
[00:07:59] money really you know or you know a fraction of that right
[00:08:04] on shoring our production. So I don't really understand why
[00:08:11] that can't really be done at this point. It is something that
[00:08:17] we've been waiting a long time to happen to start producing
[00:08:22] you know the critical drugs that we need in this country. And
[00:08:27] instead it's been just you know just kick the can down the
[00:08:31] road. Yeah, I really hope that they don't really believe that
[00:08:36] if if we ever went to war say with China or any of these
[00:08:41] countries that provide our medicine supply that these
[00:08:47] people are ordered the goodness of their hearts a lower war
[00:08:50] with them that they're going to you know still provide us with
[00:08:54] this key thing. You know, but I think that that's the way a
[00:09:01] whole lot of these people think you know this is this pie
[00:09:03] in the sky kind of a way of thinking and you know it does
[00:09:09] put us at risk. Unfortunately, all right. So they
[00:09:14] really need to unsure a lot of our drug supply. But there's
[00:09:19] been these stories about the you know the medicine shortage
[00:09:23] in the news lately and I'm just going to read one from
[00:09:30] I'm just going to read the one from CBS News. And they say
[00:09:35] a growing number of drugs are in short supply around the US
[00:09:40] according to pharmacists in the first three months of the
[00:09:42] year, there were 323 active medication shortages surpassing
[00:09:48] the previous high of 320 shortages in 2014. According to
[00:09:54] a survey by the American Society of Health System
[00:09:57] Pharmacists, the ASHP and UDA drug information service. It
[00:10:03] also mounts to the most shortages since the trade
[00:10:06] group started keeping track in 2001. All drug classes are
[00:10:11] vulnerable to shortages. Some of the most worrying
[00:10:14] shortages involve generic sterile injectable medications
[00:10:18] including cancer, chemotherapy drugs and emergency
[00:10:22] medication stored in hospital crash carts and procedural
[00:10:26] areas. ASHP said in a statement, most of the drugs
[00:10:31] in short supply are generic older products and about half
[00:10:35] are injectable drugs that are hard to make. Aaron Fox,
[00:10:39] Associate Chief Pharmacy Officer, University of Utah
[00:10:43] Health told CBS Money Watch, because the FDA says all
[00:10:48] generics are equal. The only way to compete is on price
[00:10:51] creating a race to the bottom that results in companies
[00:10:54] either halting production of the drugs or taking cost
[00:10:58] saving shortcuts and quality Fox said. The Biden Harris
[00:11:02] administration remains focused on strengthening the resilience
[00:11:05] of the critical supply chains, including for medical
[00:11:09] products like pharmaceuticals, the White House told CBS
[00:11:13] Money Watch on Friday, the effort to ensure Americans
[00:11:16] can access the medicine they need when they need it with
[00:11:20] steps including harvesting 35 million in domestic
[00:11:26] production of materials needed to produce sterile
[00:11:28] injectable medicines. Drug shortages have plagued the
[00:11:32] nation's health care system for several decades,
[00:11:35] largely due to market failures and misaligned
[00:11:38] incentives. The Department of Health and Human Services
[00:11:41] stated in a paper published earlier this month, Adderall,
[00:11:45] which is used to treat attention deficit hyper
[00:11:48] activity disorder is among the medications that are
[00:11:51] hardest to track down. The Drug Enforcement
[00:11:54] Administration said last fall that more than a dozen
[00:11:59] manufacturers plan to hike production of the drug,
[00:12:01] which has been in short supply since October 2022. But
[00:12:06] the problem persists the pharmacy group found ongoing
[00:12:10] national shortages of therapies for attention
[00:12:14] deficit hyper activity disorder ADHD also remains
[00:12:18] an issue for clinicians and patients, it said.
[00:12:22] Federal agencies have been tackling the shortages
[00:12:25] by offering pharmaceutical companies their versions
[00:12:28] of carrots and sticks. The DEA, for example,
[00:12:30] recently announced quota increases of roughly 25
[00:12:35] percent for meth, L, fiendite, date, another type of
[00:12:41] ADHD medication to help manufacturers to increase
[00:12:44] supply. After noting that manufacturers had four
[00:12:48] years not been using their full quota allotments
[00:12:51] for amphetamine salts, which include Adderall,
[00:12:55] the FDA and the DEA in August notified
[00:12:58] manufacturers that they need to produce to quota or
[00:13:01] return the ingredient so it can could be used by
[00:13:05] another company contributing to the Adderall
[00:13:08] shortage include a spike in prescriptions during
[00:13:11] the pandemic while a key manufacturer experience
[00:13:13] production delays and the companies fell short on
[00:13:15] production targets.
[00:13:19] Now, so the you know, a lot of the ADHD
[00:13:24] medications are in short supply.
[00:13:28] Most drug manufacturers did not disclose the
[00:13:31] factors behind the shortages, the pharmacy
[00:13:33] group noted in its quarterly findings, but
[00:13:35] experts have pointed to the demand of stripping
[00:13:37] supply manufacturing constraints and disruptions
[00:13:41] in supply lines for raw materials.
[00:13:44] As things as things currently stand, medicine
[00:13:48] labels are only required to name the company
[00:13:52] selling the product, not the products
[00:13:54] manufacturer.
[00:13:55] Let's see.
[00:14:01] So there are people, you know, because as I
[00:14:07] said, I was having a conversation with someone
[00:14:09] who was like, yeah, you know, medicine
[00:14:12] shortage and there's been a lot of other
[00:14:15] people who've been talking about it.
[00:14:17] You go to the pharmacy, sometimes you, you
[00:14:19] know, you that even like what you would
[00:14:23] consider, you know, really like almost over the
[00:14:28] counter, like really common stuff is beginning
[00:14:31] to become tougher and tougher to find.
[00:14:34] And it's becoming a problem.
[00:14:35] So I'm sure here on PBN we have resources
[00:14:39] that you can use to track down, you know,
[00:14:43] you know, drug supplies or, or help you in
[00:14:47] that.
[00:14:48] So please do your research here.

[00:14:56] definitely becoming a problem.

[00:15:29] uh, you know, drugs that are on the short
[00:15:33] list here, but you can scroll through it.
[00:15:35] There is a search.
[00:15:38] There is a search component that you can
[00:15:41] use, um, to try and find the drug a lot.
[00:15:47] Yeah.
[00:15:47] A lot easier.
[00:15:48] Um, but you know, if you notice that you're
[00:15:51] going to the, you know, if you're going
[00:15:53] to the pharmacy and you're not seeing the
[00:15:55] drug or even the story, you're not,
[00:15:56] you're not seeing something that you
[00:15:58] normally use, right?
[00:15:59] If you're diabetic or whatever.
[00:16:01] And you know, you could definitely check
[00:16:03] this website out and see if that drug
[00:16:07] is in short supply.
[00:16:08] So I'll just say that again, it's the
[00:16:10] ASHP.org website.
[00:16:14] And, um, you know, it's a drug shortage
[00:16:18] list.
[00:16:18] It has the drug shortage list and you
[00:16:20] can go, you can check to see whether or
[00:16:22] not, um, the drug, you know, any,
[00:16:25] the, you know, the drugs that you use,
[00:16:27] if, if they're on the list.
[00:16:28] Okay.
[00:16:29] And then you of course, hopefully you
[00:16:31] can take some action to correct that.
[00:16:35] Okay.
[00:16:36] Um, so that's the whole drug
[00:16:39] shortage thing.
[00:16:41] Um, I wanted to get, I wanted to get
[00:16:44] into a story here about, um, uh, the
[00:16:49] CDC director saying that the bird flu
[00:16:51] pandemic will be, um, will be the,
[00:16:55] will be the great pandemic.
[00:16:56] Um, I know that I had said that,
[00:16:59] yeah, I would go from here to the
[00:17:00] Israel, um, offensive in Rafa, right?
[00:17:03] But, uh, I, you know, this, I think
[00:17:06] that I just need to drop this in as
[00:17:08] well because, um, you know, the, this
[00:17:10] thing, you know, we've been watching
[00:17:11] it pretty closely here on PBN.
[00:17:14] Okay.
[00:17:15] So it says former CDC director says
[00:17:17] bird flu would be the great pandemic.
[00:17:21] And for whatever reason, former
[00:17:23] CDC director, Dr.
[00:17:24] Robert Redfield wasn't there for us
[00:17:27] during the pandemic.
[00:17:27] He was part of the Fauci Berks
[00:17:30] Collins team focused on vaccines.
[00:17:33] He spoke to News Nation and said
[00:17:35] bird flu would be the next, uh,
[00:17:37] pandemic because of the dangerous
[00:17:39] gain of function scientists are
[00:17:42] currently working on in universities.
[00:17:45] It takes five amino acid changes
[00:17:48] for it, bird flu to be effectively
[00:17:50] infecting humans.
[00:17:51] That's a pretty heavy species
[00:17:53] barrier, but this virus is already
[00:17:55] now in 26 mammal species, as you
[00:17:58] saw most recently in cattle.
[00:18:01] But in a laboratory, I could make
[00:18:04] it highly infectious for humans,
[00:18:06] uh, in months is what he's saying.
[00:18:09] And I don't think that research
[00:18:11] should be done.
[00:18:12] That's the real threat.
[00:18:13] Uh, that's the real biosecurity
[00:18:15] threat that these university labs
[00:18:17] are doing these bio experiments
[00:18:20] that are intentionally modifying
[00:18:22] viruses and bird flu, I think is
[00:18:24] going to be the cause of the
[00:18:26] great pandemic.
[00:18:27] Um, they're teaching these
[00:18:29] viruses how to be more infectious
[00:18:31] for humans.
[00:18:32] The anchor asked Redfield if he
[00:18:33] thought we'd ever know for certain,
[00:18:36] uh, that the last pandemic was a
[00:18:38] lab leak.
[00:18:40] And of course, you know, he, of
[00:18:44] course said there was no real way
[00:18:46] to, to, to say if it was or not.
[00:18:50] Okay.
[00:18:50] So, um, here you have this guy
[00:18:54] who used to run the CDC saying
[00:18:56] that the bird flu will be the
[00:18:58] next pandemic.
[00:18:59] We've seen this thing, uh, infect
[00:19:02] birds all around the nation,
[00:19:05] right?
[00:19:05] Poultry farms.
[00:19:07] We've seen it, um, uh, in fact,
[00:19:09] other mammals, right?
[00:19:11] Uh, we've seen it infect a few
[00:19:13] humans, uh, and it's just a
[00:19:16] matter of time, I think, before
[00:19:18] this makes the jump.
[00:19:19] So, um, and of course, you
[00:19:21] know, I, I just, we were just
[00:19:23] discussing how there is a drug
[00:19:25] shortage, right?
[00:19:26] Um, yeah, not good.
[00:19:29] Uh, and next, the next pandemic
[00:19:32] could really shut us down, you
[00:19:34] know, uh, big time, especially
[00:19:35] if it was, if it become, if it
[00:19:37] is more deadly than what COVID
[00:19:39] was, right?
[00:19:40] And they say what?
[00:19:41] It kills half bird flu, right?
[00:19:43] They, they project that it
[00:19:45] would kill half of, of, you
[00:19:47] know, of its victims, which
[00:19:49] would be just catastrophic.
[00:19:50] That would be, you know,
[00:19:51] that would be shutting the
[00:19:52] country down.
[00:19:54] Uh, one, one word to the
[00:19:56] wise here, I know that
[00:19:57] because, uh, we've been all
[00:19:59] jaded by COVID, right?
[00:20:00] You know, and people take all
[00:20:02] these political and, and
[00:20:04] philosophical stances on COVID
[00:20:06] one way or the other, but if,
[00:20:09] if this bird flu thing breaks,
[00:20:11] I would highly recommend that
[00:20:13] you seek out credible sources
[00:20:16] and make sure that you're
[00:20:17] getting the correct information
[00:20:18] so you can protect yourself
[00:20:19] and your family and just don't
[00:20:21] write it off as just some,
[00:20:23] you know, um, left wing, uh,
[00:20:25] propaganda, right?
[00:20:26] That you really take stock and
[00:20:29] make sure that you take care
[00:20:30] of yourself because this thing is
[00:20:31] supposed to be pretty deadly.
[00:20:33] So, um, uh, you know, just a
[00:20:35] word to the wise and just
[00:20:36] throwing that out because they
[00:20:37] know that a lot of people,
[00:20:38] they're pretty jaded by what
[00:20:40] happened with COVID and, and
[00:20:42] and that in itself is a
[00:20:43] dangerous thing.
[00:20:44] So, um, you know, just, just
[00:20:47] be vigilant, just be vigilant.
[00:20:50] Okay.
[00:20:51] So, um, let's pivot from that
[00:20:54] to, uh, what's going on,
[00:20:56] uh, in Israel, right?
[00:20:58] Because we know, uh, that's a
[00:21:00] potential hotspot.
[00:21:02] And, uh, I'm just going to read
[00:21:04] from the Times of Israel here.
[00:21:05] It says Israeli tanks move
[00:21:07] deeper into Rafa.
[00:21:09] Palestinians say as 450,000
[00:21:14] people flee.
[00:21:15] IDF says it's looking into UN
[00:21:18] car hit in active combat zone.
[00:21:21] Army says, uh, gun battles
[00:21:24] continuing in Rafa and North
[00:21:26] Gaza, dozens of gunmen killed.
[00:21:29] Israeli tanks forged deeper
[00:21:31] into East Rafa on Tuesday,
[00:21:33] reaching some residential
[00:21:34] districts of the southern
[00:21:35] border city where more than a
[00:21:37] million people had been
[00:21:39] sheltering after being
[00:21:40] displaced due to, uh, due to
[00:21:44] the war against Hamas in
[00:21:45] Gaza.
[00:21:46] The tanks advanced this, uh,
[00:21:47] this morning west of Salahuddin
[00:21:50] road into the, uh, Brazil and
[00:21:54] Jena neighborhoods.
[00:21:56] They're in the streets inside
[00:21:58] the built up area and there are
[00:22:00] clashes.
[00:22:01] One resident told routers
[00:22:03] via a chat app.
[00:22:05] Videos on social media showed
[00:22:08] one tank on the George street
[00:22:11] in Al Jena neighborhood.
[00:22:13] Reuters could not verify
[00:22:15] the video.
[00:22:17] In a roundup of activities,
[00:22:18] the IDF said its forces had
[00:22:21] eliminated several armed cells
[00:22:23] in close quarter fighting on
[00:22:25] the Gaza side of the Rafa
[00:22:28] border crossing with Egypt.
[00:22:30] In the east of the city,
[00:22:32] it said it had also destroyed
[00:22:33] cells of gunmen and a launch
[00:22:36] post from where missiles were
[00:22:37] being fired at IDF troops.
[00:22:40] Uh, the latest fighting in
[00:22:42] Gaza came as Israel marked a
[00:22:44] dour independence day with
[00:22:46] subdued events and the
[00:22:48] shadow of October 7th and
[00:22:50] the seven month old war.
[00:22:53] Right?
[00:22:54] Israel international allies and
[00:22:55] aid groups have repeatedly
[00:22:57] urged against a ground
[00:22:58] incursion into refugee pack
[00:23:00] Rafa warning of a potential
[00:23:02] humanitarian catastrophe.
[00:23:04] Israel says it is acting to
[00:23:06] evacuate civilians ahead of
[00:23:07] moving into new areas.
[00:23:09] It says a Rafa or operation
[00:23:11] is nest is necessary as part
[00:23:14] of his effort to eliminate
[00:23:15] Hamas remaining operational
[00:23:18] battalions.
[00:23:21] And they say they're saying
[00:23:22] CNN reported overnight that
[00:23:24] the U.S. believes Israel has
[00:23:25] enough troops just outside
[00:23:27] Rafa to launch a full ground
[00:23:29] operation soon.
[00:23:32] So, um, they're going ahead
[00:23:35] with this, right?
[00:23:37] And, uh, you know, I'm sure
[00:23:39] that this is going to be in
[00:23:40] the news.
[00:23:41] Okay.
[00:23:41] Uh, but, you know, uh,
[00:23:47] none of this is good.
[00:23:48] Okay.
[00:23:49] Um, you know, it's all a
[00:23:51] mess down there and I think
[00:23:53] sooner or later, uh, you know,
[00:23:55] um, this will escalate into
[00:23:58] something even more unpleasant.
[00:24:01] Uh, the only thing that we
[00:24:02] can do is pray for peace.
[00:24:05] You know, we can pray that at
[00:24:06] some point Israel says,
[00:24:08] okay, you know what?
[00:24:09] We have hit, uh, you know,
[00:24:11] the goals of our objective
[00:24:13] here and we can, you know,
[00:24:16] we can, uh, pull out of these
[00:24:18] areas or, you know, if they
[00:24:20] have those areas under
[00:24:22] control, right?
[00:24:23] And you know, the terrorists
[00:24:25] are eliminated or, and, and
[00:24:27] then things can go back to
[00:24:28] normal so that the people
[00:24:29] in the area, right, who are
[00:24:31] suffering can then, you
[00:24:33] know, go back to normal.
[00:24:34] Right?
[00:24:35] So let's just hope that
[00:24:36] things work out, but it is
[00:24:38] something that we've been
[00:24:39] watching, uh, you know,
[00:24:42] the Biden administration have
[00:24:43] been warning Israel not to
[00:24:44] go into Rafa and they've been
[00:24:45] withholding certain, uh, you
[00:24:48] know, aid to Israel because
[00:24:50] of what's going on.
[00:24:53] Um, you know, it's, it's a
[00:24:55] pretty messy situation.
[00:24:58] Um, so, you know, we're
[00:25:00] keeping an eye on that.
[00:25:01] Um, you know, we're
[00:25:03] hoping that it won't spiral
[00:25:04] into something bigger.
[00:25:06] The whole deal with, uh,
[00:25:08] you know, that happened with
[00:25:09] Iran there that got
[00:25:11] everybody's attention and,
[00:25:12] and made people very, very
[00:25:15] nervous because we didn't
[00:25:17] really know how that was
[00:25:18] going to play out, but
[00:25:20] thankfully, uh, no one
[00:25:22] really lost their head as
[00:25:24] far as that whole situation
[00:25:26] was concerned.

[00:25:28] And it, you know, Israel
[00:25:30] and Iran didn't completely
[00:25:31] just go at it.
[00:25:33] So, um, we're watching
[00:25:34] this one very, very
[00:25:37] closely.
[00:25:38] Um, let's see.

[00:25:46] So, uh, let's, uh, turn

[00:25:57] Redhead Heifer sacrifice
[00:25:59] and what's going on with

[00:27:47] convinced that a Red
[00:27:49] Heifer sacrifice is

[00:40:34] information so that you can make your plans right uh we also discussed how the cdc the ex
[00:40:42] cdc director saying that the bird flu would be the next uh big thing and you know I always when
[00:40:47] when guys like that come out and say and make these statements right that gets my attention
[00:40:54] okay that gets my attention it's almost like they're uh foreshadowing things that are are
[00:41:01] going to become you know happening right you know a lot of times they're in the know and
[00:41:05] they know a lot of things that not like in the public purview and when they come out and sit and
[00:41:12] make statements like this is we need to keep an eye on it right so let's keep an eye on that
[00:41:18] we talked about the israel uh israeli offensive into rafah so they're going ahead with it
[00:41:23] right um and they're and they're taking care of their business and we'll keep an eye on
[00:41:27] that to see if there's any escalation there uh and then we ended with whether or not the
[00:41:33] red heifer sacrifice right is going to be done or not I really really believe that they they
[00:41:40] have a really short window and if they already spent half a million dollars uh you know on this
[00:41:45] whole process then they they've got to do it soon and when that happens it's a big deal
