[00:00:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Sleep is vitally important.
[00:00:23] [SPEAKER_00]: It's the single best thing you can do to boost your immune system is Sleep.
[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And in an SHTF situation, you'll be under more stress than you can imagine.
[00:00:40] [SPEAKER_00]: That's the reason I chuckle. Okay.
[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_00]: When I was in the military, I didn't get a lot of sleep and the thing about Sleep is...
[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_00]: If you lose 24 hours of sleep, 50% of your mental faculties are impaired.
[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_00]: So if you're the person that's making key decisions for your operation,
[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_00]: do you want that person to be without 50% of their mental capacity?
[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_00]: No, 50% of mine is, you know, 10% of most people.
[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_00]: So you want them to have sleep. Now, you can break it up into two four hour increments.
[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not as good, but it's still quality sleep.
[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's another thing, quantity versus quality.
[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: You need to be safe and secure in your sleep.
[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_00]: If you're trying to do guardwatch and take a quick nap or something like that, that's not going to work.
[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_00]: On the other hand, if you lose 24 hours of sleep, if you go without sleep for 24 hours,
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_00]: you only lose 10% of your physical capabilities.
[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So you could do physical work longer than you can do mental work.
[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_00]: So that should be factored into your proper plan.
[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Sleep vitally important for every member of your crew and super important for the person making life and death situation decisions.
[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_00]: That's my proper tip for the day. Sleep, very important.
