[00:00:11] Welcome back to the Changing Earth Podcast with author Sarah F. Hathaway and co-host Chen Gibson.
[00:00:19] Blending survival, fiction and fact to bring you entertaining education that will help
[00:00:24] you dream, survive and thrive.
[00:00:28] And now here's your host Sarah F. Hathaway and Chen Gibson.
[00:00:34] Chapter 57 After purging the sourful emotions, Cole awoke
[00:00:40] with a sense of purpose in the morning.
[00:00:43] There were steps to be taken and his problems with arresting his best friends weren't going
[00:00:48] to help accomplish any of the things he needed to make sure got done.
[00:00:52] Everyone had a role to play if they were going to achieve their goals.
[00:00:56] Nobody talked much as the transport rolled south full of refugees to add to the camp.
[00:01:01] Among them were Monroe and Ginger.
[00:01:04] Chappy stood guard over them, watching Monroe look longingly at Ginger on the other side
[00:01:09] of the transport.
[00:01:10] Chappy began on hooking the refugees from the center chain they were all hooked to
[00:01:14] as the truck pulled to a stop.
[00:01:17] I hope you're real proud of yourself, Chappy.
[00:01:20] How does it feel to see your friend and his pregnant wife in chains because of your
[00:01:24] big mouth?
[00:01:25] Overhearing Monroe's comment, Cole was impressed Chappy had stayed quiet, going about
[00:01:30] his business.
[00:01:32] You're not going to say anything?
[00:01:34] Monroe insisted as Chappy unhooked him.
[00:01:37] Stow it, Monroe.
[00:01:38] The time for talking is over, Cole commanded, as he jumped out of the vehicle.
[00:01:43] Aware of his high-ranking refugee prisoner, Captain Arano had come to oversee
[00:01:47] the transfer himself.
[00:01:49] Good to see you, Major.
[00:01:50] Arano greeted him.
[00:01:52] I wish it were under different circumstances, Cole admitted.
[00:01:55] Sometimes good men go bad.
[00:01:57] Nothing can be done about it, Arano assured Cole.
[00:02:01] Maybe so, but these two are special to me, Cole told him, walking with him toward
[00:02:06] the back of the truck.
[00:02:07] We usually start them out in the welcome warehouse and survey them for behavior
[00:02:11] before they're released, but if you think Arano was interrupted by the
[00:02:15] noise of Monroe shouting in the truck, screw you, Chappy.
[00:02:19] You knew what would happen.
[00:02:21] Chappy barked back at him.
[00:02:23] So did you.
[00:02:24] It was your decision.
[00:02:26] Walking quickly to the back of the truck, Cole watched Monroe jump out of the
[00:02:29] car onto Chappy's screaming.
[00:02:31] I thought I could trust you.
[00:02:34] Chappy tried to defend himself, but Monroe had the high ground and took
[00:02:37] Chappy down.
[00:02:39] Straddling, Chappy, Monroe rained down punches to the man's face.
[00:02:43] Cole ran forward grabbing Monroe.
[00:02:45] Get off him.
[00:02:46] You'll kill him.
[00:02:48] Finding his footing, Monroe was crazed.
[00:02:50] I'll kill you too, he raged, punching Cole in the mouth.
[00:02:54] Put him in restraints, Arano commanded, calling in the federal soldiers in the
[00:02:58] area.
[00:02:59] You okay, Major Virgis?
[00:03:01] I'm fine, Cole answered, spitting blood out of his mouth.
[00:03:05] The female can go into general population, but he is going into the box,
[00:03:09] Arano insisted, disgusted by Monroe's behavior.
[00:03:13] I understand, Cole agreed.
[00:03:14] I never thought.
[00:03:16] Arano cut him off.
[00:03:17] It's like I said, Major, sometimes good men go bad.
[00:03:21] I guess so, Cole admitted, helping Chappy to his feet and checking on the man's
[00:03:25] face.
[00:03:27] You and your men are more than welcome to stay for the night.
[00:03:29] You know where the guest quarters are.
[00:03:31] Cole thanked him for his trouble, and Arano left to oversee the transfer.
[00:03:36] As they walked away, Chappy mumbled, everything about that felt wrong.
[00:03:41] We did what we had to do, Cole replied, sharing his feelings.
[00:03:44] Let's go find Alex.
[00:03:46] This place has happened, Chappy declared, watching the never-ending line of people at
[00:03:51] the gates.
[00:03:52] Where there's food, there are people, Cole answered absentmindedly.
[00:03:56] Chappy rubbed his belly.
[00:03:58] I could sure go for some of that.
[00:04:00] Crossing in front of one of the incoming refugee processing centers,
[00:04:04] Chappy tapped Cole on the arm.
[00:04:06] Major, isn't that Erica over at refugee check-in?
[00:04:10] Cole stopped momentarily looking at the individual Chappy had pointed out.
[00:04:14] It is, he agreed, pausing for a moment as contingency plans ran through his mind.
[00:04:20] Somehow we have to get her whole family out.
[00:04:23] That's going to be the trick.
[00:04:25] They continued to the old casino that they used to house mercenary soldiers.
[00:04:29] Their noses took them toward the eatery on the left side of the main room.
[00:04:34] Major Virgis, how are you?
[00:04:36] Alex asked, approaching.
[00:04:38] Cole smiled widely, stating, just the man I was looking for.
[00:04:42] Speaking quietly, Alex informed him.
[00:04:44] I heard you brought him in row.
[00:04:46] What happened?
[00:04:47] Scanning the room, Cole suggested.
[00:04:50] Let's get a table in a quiet corner.
[00:04:52] Alex nodded at him and the men entered the restaurant.
[00:04:55] They picked a table in the back, and as they sat down, the waiter approached.
[00:04:59] Can I get you gentlemen some food?
[00:05:01] Drink? He asked.
[00:05:03] I'll have a beer in the chicken dinner, Cole requested.
[00:05:06] I'll have the same Chappy declared gently touching his puffy lip.
[00:05:10] Looks like you've seen better days, the waiter commented about Chappy's condition.
[00:05:14] Moving unruly refugees, Chappy commented.
[00:05:18] I can't understand why we keep some of them alive.
[00:05:21] They'll never be worth a damn, the waiter commented.
[00:05:24] I'll go get you a cold beer.
[00:05:25] That should help.
[00:05:26] The waiter laughed and Cole explained to Alex.
[00:05:29] Monroe was going to desert the forces.
[00:05:32] Ginger is pregnant.
[00:05:34] He wanted to be a father, not a soldier.
[00:05:37] Alex nodded at him.
[00:05:38] He came to me a while back asking if I could get him out, Alex admitted.
[00:05:43] He never told me, but you're not the first one I heard it from, Cole admitted.
[00:05:47] Chappy looked down thinking about how he betrayed his friend.
[00:05:51] It's not your fault, Chappy, Cole insisted.
[00:05:54] I told him then he could be a father and a soldier, Alex explained.
[00:05:58] He didn't see it that way.
[00:06:00] Cole answered sadly, pausing to collect his thoughts.
[00:06:04] Chappy's stomach grumbled as the food smells wafted through the air.
[00:06:07] Chappy was more concerned with a bruise on his face.
[00:06:10] He poked at it, looking at his reflection in the metal napkin dispenser.
[00:06:15] You know as well as I do the feds are pushing to have me removed and destroy the free towns, Cole noted.
[00:06:21] If Monroe left, it would give them the perfect excuse, Alex added, understanding Cole's concerns.
[00:06:27] I couldn't let that happen, Cole stated as the waiter approached.
[00:06:31] They paused their conversation, waiting for the man to put the plates and drinks down.
[00:06:35] Here you go gentlemen, he said, winking at Chappy.
[00:06:39] Thank you, Cole responded as the man left.
[00:06:42] I think that guy is sweet on you, Chappy.
[00:06:44] He's not too bad on the eyes, Chappy teased back.
[00:06:47] I never knew you swung that way, Alex stated sarcastically.
[00:06:51] There are some lonely nights out in the desert, Alex.
[00:06:55] You never know who you might wake up with, Chappy commented.
[00:06:59] Cole knew Chappy's drinking habits and wasn't sure if he was serious.
[00:07:04] Anyway, Cole interjected, directing the conversation as he poked his fork into his chicken.
[00:07:09] He was surprised by the moisture hidden in the meat.
[00:07:12] I've been out to see General McClintock.
[00:07:14] He wants to go forward with the Erika plant.
[00:07:17] I think that's a good choice.
[00:07:19] She deserves a shot.
[00:07:21] I've always thought so, Alex commented.
[00:07:24] Well, she's going to get it, Cole stated, taking a bite of his chicken.
[00:07:28] The militia isn't going to assist though.
[00:07:30] After what happened with William, they want to know who the chicken is.
[00:07:32] They've got nothing to do with her.
[00:07:34] But they'll help get Cassidy out.
[00:07:36] I told them I was going to get them both at once.
[00:07:39] Almost spitting out the swallow of beer he had just drunk, Alex gassed.
[00:07:44] Geez, Virgis, that's a tall auror.
[00:07:47] I know, but it has to be done.
[00:07:50] We have refugees on the inside.
[00:07:52] We can use them to provide a distraction and get as many of them out as possible.
[00:07:57] Cole relayed his plan.
[00:07:59] You know you can't just take Erika.
[00:08:01] You're going to have to get her whole family out.
[00:08:04] And they are spread all over the place, Alex noted, concerned with the logistics.
[00:08:09] Plus I can't be here.
[00:08:11] We can't give the feds an excuse to take the West or turn on the Merck forces.
[00:08:16] We're going to need a miracle, my friend, Alex prayed, staring at the bottle in his hand.
[00:08:22] I'll help while I'm here and coordinate my people on the inside.
[00:08:25] But it's well known that Cassidy visits me.
[00:08:28] I can't be here when she escapes.
[00:08:30] It would raise too many questions.
[00:08:32] I'll stay available, but hopefully I won't be needed.
[00:08:35] I have a handful of people that would help.
[00:08:38] We'll see what we can put together, Alex assured him.
[00:08:42] What if I told you you could own land for $200 down and highly affordable monthly payments?
[00:08:49] Yourcheapland.com is your answer to bug outland, hunting, recreation,

[00:09:47] Hello and welcome back to the changing of earth podcast.
[00:09:50] This is episode number 463 season 15 episode 57.
[00:09:58] Hey, Jim, what's up?
[00:10:00] Chins up, y'all.
[00:10:03] So you're not too busy or anything over there.
[00:10:08] I almost feel like an author.
[00:10:11] Oh man, I'll tell you, just never.
[00:10:14] Let's do something.
[00:10:16] I was going to give you, you know, something to do this week, but because I figured you definitely
[00:10:20] needed more going out of your life.
[00:10:25] If you laundry wash the car, we need.
[00:10:29] You're teaching a class at a proper camp this year.
[00:10:33] Which was one of the things I was doing today.
[00:10:35] Yeah, gotta edit in.
[00:10:38] Gotta get those slides in.
[00:10:44] Always fun.
[00:10:45] I was like, yeah, I'm going to put it off right.
[00:10:47] I'm like, I'm going to get to that.
[00:10:48] I'm going to get to that.
[00:10:49] Rick's like, I need them.
[00:10:51] I'm like, uh-oh.
[00:10:56] I'm better not for that word of that anymore.
[00:10:59] What's going on in my life right now?
[00:11:00] You're sending me this email.
[00:11:02] Right?
[00:11:04] You butthead.
[00:11:05] But I got the gun caught or done.
[00:11:07] The good news was like two weeks from Thursday, you're going to be setting up a proper
[00:11:11] camp.
[00:11:11] I was like, yeah.
[00:11:14] So I believe tickets are sold out now guys.
[00:11:16] So uh, you're taking this year is always next year and uh, if you haven't made a proper camp yet,
[00:11:25] you better get your butt there eventually because that is just.
[00:11:29] Yeah, what is your problem?
[00:11:31] It's a ton of fun.
[00:11:31] You have a blast.
[00:11:32] I guarantee it.
[00:11:34] So, uh, yeah, I've been watching the weather and all that stuff.
[00:11:38] You know me seeing what that's going to do.
[00:11:40] We're a little far out, but uh, hopefully it's going to look good.
[00:11:44] We'll see.
[00:11:44] I saw there's a tropical system brewing down here.
[00:11:47] There's a tropical system.
[00:11:49] Yeah.
[00:11:51] Everybody's like, oh, it's going to Mexico.
[00:11:53] It's going to Mexico for sure.
[00:11:55] It's going, oh, it's turning up to us.
[00:11:58] I'm like, uh-huh.
[00:11:59] Anyway, Wednesday is going to be watched the weather day.
[00:12:02] Yeah.
[00:12:03] So it looks like it's going to shoot through Louisiana.
[00:12:05] So I mean that's, Phil's going to get it.
[00:12:08] Not me.
[00:12:10] We got the chainsaw, Phil.
[00:12:12] Yeah.
[00:12:13] I'm always like, oh, we didn't get it, but Phil's getting smashed over there.
[00:12:20] It's like I moved from the, from the beach while we weren't on the beach, but we moved
[00:12:24] from Charleston up into the mountains, but I still have family down here.
[00:12:27] So I'm like, yeah, whenever the tropical storms.
[00:12:31] Yeah.
[00:12:32] Yeah.
[00:12:32] You tell, yeah, worried about the family and everything.
[00:12:35] At least they have a place to go to now though, if they, you know,
[00:12:37] they can just come out to your place.
[00:12:39] I'll put them to work.
[00:12:40] Come on up.
[00:12:40] Yeah, come on up.
[00:12:42] We got plenty of shovels.
[00:12:46] What's your 80 year old mama up there?
[00:12:50] I wouldn't argue with that one.
[00:12:52] Oh shoot.
[00:12:53] I don't know.
[00:12:54] Tell me about it.
[00:12:56] She raised a six foot six kid.
[00:12:58] She knows how to do it.
[00:13:00] My mom's smaller than me.
[00:13:02] She's four, four nine, barely a hundred pounds.
[00:13:06] I wouldn't mess with that one, man.
[00:13:09] That's the thing about moms.
[00:13:11] All right.
[00:13:12] Alrighty, so, um, audio drama drop episode six season four is live right now.
[00:13:19] Check it out.
[00:13:20] We are barreling ahead with the story.
[00:13:23] There's just no slowdown really this season as well.
[00:13:26] It's going to just move, move, move, uh, just like seasons three dead.
[00:13:30] So we're and it's kind of hit.
[00:13:33] I mean, hold on to your guys as sure.
[00:13:35] It's here.
[00:13:36] You're in for a wild ride.
[00:13:37] Uh, seven is up for my paid subscribers to the change your podcast.
[00:13:43] So, uh, go check that out.
[00:13:46] Let me know what you think.
[00:13:46] I'm always eager to hear feedback.
[00:13:48] How you guys like what's going on.
[00:13:51] Um, and I can't talk to you about what I'm working on because it's just all spoilers.
[00:14:00] So this week though in our verges story, um, Monroe with Vegas or, uh,
[00:14:07] Burgess took Monroe to Vegas, lock him up, lock him up.
[00:14:13] And, uh, he meets with Alex to discuss his game plan.
[00:14:17] So it's an interesting situation for a verges here in the end because he's a major
[00:14:23] leader, power player and everything that's going down, but he can't actually be there
[00:14:29] or be way too obvious.
[00:14:31] Right?
[00:14:32] So I mean, I'm, I think I'm way too much of a control freak to just be like, yeah,
[00:14:39] I trust all my people to do the right thing.
[00:14:41] You know, really you should.
[00:14:44] And, uh, it's something that I've always, whenever I find a weakness in myself,
[00:14:49] I'm always after how to turn that into a strength, right?
[00:14:52] Whether it's a kick, I do sucky or, um, a leadership skill that I'm lacking in.
[00:14:59] So this was actually pretty interesting to me today to research, uh, you know,
[00:15:04] these tactics to delegating as a leader because I'm always like,
[00:15:08] oh, you want something done right?
[00:15:09] You do it yourself.
[00:15:11] You know, so I took too much on my shoulders as a leader all the time.
[00:15:15] Yeah, go figure, right?
[00:15:17] Oh, I mean, I'm just starting to let go of some of the aspects.
[00:15:25] Oh, speaking of some of the aspects, if you guys haven't been over to the changeyourseries.com
[00:15:30] and checked out my new book covers, get over there and check it out.
[00:15:35] They won't be ready for prepper camp, but they are up there for you guys to look at.
[00:15:40] They look fantastic.
[00:15:43] Huge shout out to Doug Hogan.
[00:15:46] He does incredible work and they turn out like each one is a little work of art, so
[00:15:52] they turn out really, really slick and go check that out.
[00:15:56] I'm sure you're going to want a new set if you have an old set.
[00:15:59] You're going to be like, I've got to get a new set now.
[00:16:01] So we also got some new merch up there, some really cool t-shirts.
[00:16:05] Love the pain t-shirt, v-neck for ladies who want a nice shirt.
[00:16:11] And the sweatshirts, the change-your-series sweatshirts are bomb.
[00:16:15] You know how sweatshirts have those pointy hoods?
[00:16:19] I hate the pointy hoods.
[00:16:20] Hate that with a patch.
[00:16:22] So I found a sweatshirt.
[00:16:23] It has a rolly hood.
[00:16:25] It's a big hood.
[00:16:26] They're thick.
[00:16:26] They're comfy.
[00:16:28] Definitely with winter coming on, pick up a change-your-series sweatshirt.
[00:16:32] They are worth it.
[00:16:33] They're really good quality.
[00:16:34] So I'm always looking for that good sweat pant material.
[00:16:39] I think that's the next item I'll do with some sweat pants.
[00:16:43] Sweats.
[00:16:43] Well, you know the ones who used to buy at college for like thick, nice sweats?
[00:16:48] Like when you had on a track team or whatever.
[00:16:51] Or when you had the sportskins, you had a nice warm-up suit.
[00:16:53] And they would last for like, I mean, I still have some from when I went to Sac State.
[00:16:58] Yeah, 25 years ago.
[00:17:00] They were good quality stuff.
[00:17:02] And you buy this garbage, a Walmart or Target or whatever.
[00:17:06] They last like two seasons.
[00:17:08] Yeah, right.
[00:17:10] Right.
[00:17:11] So I'm always on the lookout for like that good sweatsuit material.
[00:17:15] And I definitely found it in the sweatshirt.
[00:17:18] Well, you got one of those sweatshirts.
[00:17:19] I did.
[00:17:20] I sent you pictures of me wearing it around.
[00:17:23] All right.
[00:17:24] I'm not going to tell you guys.
[00:17:25] Yeah, aren't they comfy?
[00:17:26] They're like a little muck of pants.
[00:17:28] Yeah.
[00:17:29] Okay, so let's get into delegating as a leader.
[00:17:34] There was a great article that I found on the Harvard Business Review.
[00:17:39] And I'm telling you it was like I was back in school again.
[00:17:42] I was like, this is great.
[00:17:44] So I'm putting it up in the live chat.
[00:17:46] See some folks over there.
[00:17:47] I'm going to throw it up there so you guys can check out kind of follow along as we go.
[00:17:53] But if you are a leader who can delegate responsibility,
[00:17:59] now think about the difference between tasks and responsibilities.
[00:18:05] Right?
[00:18:06] Because I have no problem telling people like do this.
[00:18:09] Right?
[00:18:10] Because that's like having the faith in somebody that they're going to take care of that whole
[00:18:15] responsibility.
[00:18:16] You're putting them in charge of gardens because you have to do something else.
[00:18:22] You know, you're overseeing the gardens of defense.
[00:18:25] There are tracking movements, all of this stuff.
[00:18:28] Right?
[00:18:29] So really having the faith in those people that they can take that responsibility and go with it.
[00:18:37] It's quite a different thing than just a task.
[00:18:41] Increases productivity morale and commitment.
[00:18:46] So last week, last week, make last week we were talking about loyalty.
[00:18:51] Right?
[00:18:52] And in a survival group, oh my goodness, you have to be loyal to each other.
[00:18:57] Like you could really screw somebody over by being the one who's just giving away group
[00:19:04] secrets to an opposing group or something like that.
[00:19:08] You know?
[00:19:09] So it's really important.
[00:19:11] And if people don't feel like they have responsibility,
[00:19:15] they're not going to, their morale is not going to be as high.
[00:19:18] They're trust.
[00:19:21] So top 500 companies, if they have executives who can delegate authority properly,
[00:19:29] companies grow faster, create more revenue and create more jobs.
[00:19:33] So this definitely transfers to our survival groups.
[00:19:36] You're going to be more efficient, more productive, and more likely to thrive as a group.
[00:19:42] 100% transferable over or two.
[00:19:45] Any kind of group that you're doing.
[00:19:48] So, of course I was even more interested.
[00:19:50] No, people don't want to be led.
[00:19:53] They do.
[00:19:54] But they want to feel like they have a part of, say, a piece that's theirs out of the pie.
[00:20:01] Right.
[00:20:02] So I always say, if you want something done right, do it yourself.
[00:20:08] So, John C. Maxwell said in developing leaders around you,
[00:20:13] if you want a few small things done right, then do it yourself.
[00:20:19] If you want to do great things and make a big impact, then learn to delegate.
[00:20:25] That's so true.
[00:20:27] I mean, like the platform I'm working on, yeah, I can do a lot of things well.
[00:20:33] But to grow up to the level where we're putting together a TV series and all of these things,
[00:20:39] that's going to take old big team of people to actually make that happen.
[00:20:44] So same way with the survival groups.
[00:20:48] Yeah.
[00:20:49] I always laugh.
[00:20:50] These people are like, I'm going it alone.
[00:20:53] It's going to be me and my family against the world.
[00:20:57] Right?
[00:20:59] How long is that going to last?
[00:21:00] And if you think that you're going to be a leader of that group, well, you better learn
[00:21:04] to utilize your resources that you have.
[00:21:07] And that includes great people who can take those responsibilities and really run with them.
[00:21:15] So roadblocks to delegation.
[00:21:17] This was interesting because this is self-analysis, right?
[00:21:24] What is stopping you from trusting in the other people?
[00:21:28] So sometimes you don't know what to delegate or how that would be helpful to you.
[00:21:34] Right?
[00:21:35] You're like, oh, this is what I do.
[00:21:36] I do this, this, and this.
[00:21:38] And what piece could I give up that would really help me out?
[00:21:44] That's a challenge, right?
[00:21:46] Like maybe you really like the gardens and you really like the defense
[00:21:49] and you really like putting together community stuff.
[00:21:53] You can't do it all.
[00:21:55] So you're going to have to trust somebody else to do one of those things.
[00:22:02] And then it wasn't just delegating tasks but responsibilities.
[00:22:05] Some people are like, yeah, I'm a great delegator.
[00:22:07] I have everybody else do my menial task for me.
[00:22:11] Well, that doesn't really give anybody that feeling of this is my responsibility
[00:22:18] to take care of my peace.
[00:22:20] It's just like I am digging the hole for them.
[00:22:24] Great.
[00:22:25] Right.
[00:22:25] Like feeling a community as opposed to a feeling of a chaining.
[00:22:31] Yes, right?
[00:22:35] That's what it's going to be all about.
[00:22:39] So one of the interesting things, the responsibilities they delegate
[00:22:44] to really help that other person grow with that responsibility.
[00:22:49] Like maybe they're not the best at putting together every facet of it yet
[00:22:53] but they could take that responsibility and then develop personal growth.
[00:22:57] It's like a little kid if you never let them bake a cookie,
[00:23:00] like they're going to make a mess of the kitchen the first time.
[00:23:03] Right.
[00:23:04] But if they never do it, they don't understand the steps and the processes
[00:23:07] and why you do this so you don't have to do that.
[00:23:11] That's it.
[00:23:12] That is so it.
[00:23:16] One of the other ones that was interesting people that are higher up
[00:23:19] have a lack of role models to follow.
[00:23:22] So whenever you have a leader and you have higher ups over you,
[00:23:25] you're going, okay, well I need to be kind of like them to be able to get to that level.
[00:23:29] This is what they're looking for.
[00:23:31] I can follow how they did it.
[00:23:32] Well when you're up there at the top or in that top group,
[00:23:36] you don't really have a role model to go like, oh, well,
[00:23:41] so-and-so is running their group.
[00:23:42] Well, I'm going to follow that model.
[00:23:45] So that's why it's really important that we do so much research now
[00:23:50] so we understand what this looks like when we get there.
[00:23:54] And then last but not least, the perceived reputational risk.
[00:24:01] And I think that's why it's so hard to let go of control sometimes
[00:24:06] because if they screw up, then it's a reflection upon you and your reputation.
[00:24:13] Right?
[00:24:14] So you want to, you're like mentally trying to guard that and protect that.
[00:24:24] So leaders state goals and then describe how their behaviors are stalling their efforts.
[00:24:32] So this is all personal reflection of you as a leader.
[00:24:35] This isn't like I'm the best leader so I'm going to analyze what my team is doing wrong.
[00:24:43] Right?
[00:24:44] This is like I'm a leader and I need to look within at some of my processes.
[00:24:52] And make it so that if people take them over, they're already set up for success.
[00:24:58] Right?
[00:24:59] We all procrastinate.
[00:25:01] We all do these things.
[00:25:03] So is there something you're lacking to hinder the ability of somebody else to really take that job over?
[00:25:11] Like you know how to fix the shovels but you want somebody else to take over garden management.
[00:25:16] But you keep putting the repairing the shovels off and repairing the shovels off.
[00:25:21] So they can't really do that job and you're like why didn't you do your job?
[00:25:27] Right?
[00:25:28] I mean so obviously that I'm trying to put it all into a survival situation and how that would look
[00:25:35] like but we all procrastinate things and we need to make sure that we're setting up those people
[00:25:41] for success.
[00:25:42] And then really think about like if you were expecting someone to do the job that you do
[00:25:48] and you're putting off certain items or not attending to certain items the way you should.
[00:25:54] How would you feel if one of your coordinates was doing that?
[00:25:59] As a great chance for personal reflection to make sure you're doing your job to the best
[00:26:03] of your ability as well.
[00:26:05] Okay so the emotional immune system.
[00:26:09] I loved this terminology.
[00:26:12] These things these things that you're lacking
[00:26:16] activate the emotional immune system which tries to ward off feelings of fear, overwhelm,
[00:26:23] loss of control or disappointment.
[00:26:27] So you really have to look within yourself and challenge those things where you're like well
[00:26:34] if I give it to them what if this happens?
[00:26:36] If I give it to them what if that happens right?
[00:26:39] So obviously you don't want to take somebody who barely knows how to use a shovel and be
[00:26:43] like oh gardening's all yours have a ball.
[00:26:47] I mean that's an important really important piece of everybody getting fed in the long run.
[00:26:54] So start with like small things and go from there.
[00:26:58] You know things that you'd be okay with delegating to somebody else doesn't really
[00:27:04] have a huge impact on the eventual outcome.
[00:27:07] And then you get in that mindset of being able to trust people and do those things.
[00:27:13] So we come down to how to effectively delegate.
[00:27:17] Well this article is great you guys gotta check it out.
[00:27:20] It really was.
[00:27:22] Oh like I am learning I'm going to apply some of these things in my life today for church.
[00:27:29] Choose the right person so I'm like oh yeah I could choose the right person easy.
[00:27:33] Right boom check.
[00:27:36] Just make your life easy for the get go.
[00:27:39] Right and then it's like not just who can do it.
[00:27:43] Not have the ability to do that.
[00:27:46] But who needs to develop those skills.
[00:27:50] Really important with like medic situations you gotta have multiple medics.
[00:27:54] Not everybody is trained medically right now for sure.
[00:27:57] So that's going to be a big part of like okay we can take this person and have them
[00:28:02] cross train in the medical world as well.
[00:28:07] You've got to always think about you know what if they get sick what if somebody's hurt
[00:28:10] what you know got her baby you don't have them anymore you know.
[00:28:15] So that cross training is going to be really important as well so who needs to develop the
[00:28:20] skills who has an interest in it.
[00:28:23] Like oh well Sally Sue can do this she does it really well maybe she hates doing it.
[00:28:30] And now you're gonna add her primary responsibility.
[00:28:34] Right so you're gonna live in misery.
[00:28:37] I was like oh that makes sense.
[00:28:39] I'll just laugh at the garden girls come at that you can't let control.
[00:28:44] Right.
[00:28:45] That's it's a problem leadership problem for sure because you're like no I want to done my way.
[00:28:52] How I just easier to do it.
[00:28:54] Right.
[00:28:55] Time explain how to do it.
[00:28:57] Yes.
[00:28:57] Why did you do it wrong and then fix it.
[00:29:00] Oh that's so true.
[00:29:03] You know you're doing great dad because we did that like so much.
[00:29:07] We're like oh it's just easier to you know we'll just do it.
[00:29:10] We'll just do it.
[00:29:10] We'll just do it.
[00:29:11] And it's like they're not learning the skills that they need to actually do those things when
[00:29:16] they're older.
[00:29:17] You better take some time put on your patience dance.
[00:29:23] I'm like man I literally get the teeth grinding and I'm just like
[00:29:29] watching my husband pack on the keyboard with one finger two fingers.
[00:29:34] Just like give me that.
[00:29:37] So you gotta step back.
[00:29:40] Who would see it as a reward.
[00:29:43] Right.
[00:29:44] Sally Sue hates doing that job.
[00:29:46] She's going to see it as punishment.
[00:29:48] But maybe you know Johnny Joe over there was like I always wanted to learn to do this.
[00:29:55] Guess who sucks at making up character names.
[00:29:58] Me.
[00:29:59] Johnny Joe.
[00:30:02] So you know they're like hey I always wanted to learn to do that.
[00:30:05] I'm sure I could do it really well.
[00:30:07] That kind of thing.
[00:30:08] They're going to have passion.
[00:30:10] They're going to have drive.
[00:30:11] They're going to really excel at the position more so than somebody who may know how to do
[00:30:15] it but hates doing it.
[00:30:16] So it's very interesting to see.
[00:30:20] Patience pants needs to be a teacher.
[00:30:22] Yes.
[00:30:24] Put on your patience pants.
[00:30:27] That's what you need to put across the butt of your sweatpants that you're going to make.
[00:30:32] Yes.
[00:30:33] Patience pants.
[00:30:34] Change it.
[00:30:35] Except like changing earth and one might be a really bad spot.
[00:30:40] Just say it.
[00:30:41] Oh that's so awesome.
[00:30:43] Just say it.
[00:30:46] Okay.
[00:30:48] They need to have you need to be really really clear about this responsibility
[00:30:54] and how much autonomy they have.
[00:30:58] So autonomy being able to like make your own way and do it yourself is actually desired over task
[00:31:06] team technique and time people would rather have the autonomy to do the job where they
[00:31:14] want to do it rather than any of those other things.
[00:31:17] I found that really makes sense.
[00:31:20] You know I work on my own most of the day.
[00:31:22] I just take care of what I'm supposed to take care of.
[00:31:24] I don't have like a boss telling me oh well from this time to that time you better be doing this
[00:31:28] and from that time to this time you're going to be doing that right.
[00:31:31] I just get like tasks that I need to take care of and yeah it's done within the
[00:31:36] a lot of time frame right and it works really well.
[00:31:41] So so at the on start of everything you got to be really clear about hey you can do this
[00:31:49] however you want it to be done but this thing has to be done this way right.
[00:31:55] So people don't get frustrated like thinking they can do it whatever
[00:31:59] but okay for example at my work you know you can't send out marketing emails just spam right.
[00:32:06] So you have to use a certain program and approach people in a certain way
[00:32:12] or a certain violation of certain laws.
[00:32:15] I can't just be like oh well that's just how I want to do it.
[00:32:19] Right. You just you can't so I don't have autonomy here but I do and many other facets of my job
[00:32:27] same with like gardening you know you got to plant a seed a certain way like at a certain time
[00:32:33] at a certain time yeah yeah just be like oh well here's a bunch of seeds here's a
[00:32:38] up stick you know take your hole right over figure it out you know there's certain things
[00:32:43] that need to be done. Do you need to oversee it and be like well we wanted the rows horizontal
[00:32:48] instead of vertical maybe it was like a something but you know there's certain aspects that you're
[00:32:55] going to be able to let go like we want you to specifically use the shovel in this manner
[00:33:00] give it a rest you know. Okay describe desired results in detail. This is so important. Your
[00:33:17] lowest expectation is going to be their highest expectation.
[00:33:22] So if you want something done a certain way in front of have a certain outcome you need to be
[00:33:28] specific about what the outcome is or they don't have a clue. It's the old beat around the bush
[00:33:34] syndrome my little man Christian he doesn't understand beat around the bush at all.
[00:33:42] So well I'd like you to do this eventually it is not getting done but if you're like do this do
[00:33:49] it now do a rare boom over it's done you know. So be really really specific what is it that you
[00:33:57] want in that outcome why. This is the Erica syndrome she's always like why do I have to do
[00:34:08] this okay what does it matter. So how does it factor in a bigger picture you know hey I want
[00:34:15] you to go dig these holes along this road why well we're going to use them to do the fence
[00:34:22] keep all of us safe that kind of thing and then what's the criteria for measuring success.
[00:34:30] Okay the poles are all on the ground but they're all jetting out to the left hand side
[00:34:35] you know we want them straight right I mean you can stack a wood pile or you can stack a wood pile.
[00:34:46] The difference between you know all your logs have big gaping holes you take one out they all fall
[00:34:55] down you know that kind of thing or it's all done properly where everybody's sitting together
[00:35:01] in the formation of a pyramid so if you don't take one down they all roll out
[00:35:08] yeah we went through so much of that with the boys like it's fun oh wow didn't give clear directions
[00:35:17] on that at all. So if you want it done a certain way make sure you're clear really clear about that
[00:35:28] um make sure they have the resources to do the job right. I want you to dig the holes but
[00:35:35] the shovels are all broken so good luck with that you know maybe you should have the job of
[00:35:42] repair the shovels first I don't know why I keep coming back to the shovels but uh you know training
[00:35:49] supplies time money if it's applicable adjusted priorities so you're giving somebody a new
[00:35:57] responsibility if you just expect them to take this new responsibility on top of all their other
[00:36:04] responsibilities that they have you might not have a successful employee or that person you know
[00:36:10] that teammate might not be very successful because now they're trying to juggle eight billion
[00:36:15] things their overwhelm charges skyrocketed. I watch it happen to a lot of managers who get
[00:36:21] moved up to into a management position and they still think they need to do all the work of
[00:36:26] the line people you know it just you've got to make sure that they have what they need to actually
[00:36:33] perform at that job can't hold them accountable if they don't establish checkpoints milestones
[00:36:42] so the person's not micro managed and not under lead so I might have like a little bit
[00:36:50] of the micro managing problem going on just just saying um I've also struggled in my personal life
[00:37:01] with like allowing myself to celebrate goals instead of just making a whole new list of new
[00:37:07] ones once I hit that checkpoint right so it's always like oh yeah well I got that done
[00:37:13] but I got like 18 other things to do so yay for me onward right I was like no no no sometimes
[00:37:19] you need to really just stop personally even and go good job you're to the checkpoint well that also
[00:37:26] needs a reflect in your leadership style like good job half the holes are dug they look beautiful
[00:37:33] or let's fix this before we move on to the next one so we know that that problem solved before
[00:37:39] we go anywhere else right but you're also not standing there like oh that paul's gonna outcook
[00:37:46] you know the first actually actually had the chance to self correct yes yes that's true
[00:37:56] that's all as frustrating as the worker is getting corrected before you could self correct
[00:38:03] right you need that moment to like be able to stand back and be like oh wow that wood pile
[00:38:07] looks like that learning and just delegating right yeah do it yeah absolutely um in martial arts
[00:38:16] when I'm training students you know when people get up to you know their their higher about level
[00:38:23] you really see that skill start to come in to play where they can now look at themselves and be like
[00:38:29] oh no no no I need to punch lower or I need this to be like that in their forms um so that's
[00:38:35] really important and so you can't always jump down the throat like hey get your punch fits right
[00:38:40] you gotta give them the chance to do that encourage new creative ways to do things don't lean on how it
[00:38:50] was done in the past so I could definitely see areas where this would be applicable and then not
[00:39:00] applicable we go back to our seeds it's got to be done a certain way it's always been done that
[00:39:05] way in the past because it worked right um that's not to say like you couldn't take some and try to
[00:39:13] plant it at a different time of year and see what happens but not like the whole stock or whatever
[00:39:18] a little experiment's first so I guess yeah I think I have a hard time with that one
[00:39:26] because there's it might be one of those cases where you gotta plant in March but then it's
[00:39:31] a cold you know it's a cold spring so the person wants to wait a week or so and to make sense yeah
[00:39:38] that's true they're using their noggin yeah instead of just being told hey yeah I'm playing at March and
[00:39:45] they're out there playing I don't care both fans had planned in March but I'm doing it yeah I'm
[00:39:50] doing this is the dumbest thing but I'm doing it so you wasted the whole stock yeah right or all
[00:39:58] that time even or yeah resources whatever that's true okay I love that because I'd like to say I think
[00:40:07] I lean on a little bit on how it's been done in the past but then again I also like to create my own
[00:40:13] like if I can leapfrog a work system um I'm definitely gonna do it because I tend to you
[00:40:20] just click a little bit quicker so if I can you know go from step a to c to d faster
[00:40:29] than having to put b in there I'm gonna do that too it really enjoyed some of my martial arts
[00:40:35] instructors so I'm not gonna yeah yeah yeah so developing motivating environments nothing worse
[00:40:49] than working someplace where everybody's like uh we showed up today I don't want to be here I want
[00:40:56] to leave early I want to go go do the just like it's the worst you know so um that's when it's
[00:41:04] really important as the leader of knowing like when to cheerlead somebody hey you're doing a great
[00:41:11] job you know you gotta keep that up um we used to always do two positives with every negative
[00:41:19] so you know hey your stance was really good your points were your punches were right on point
[00:41:25] right where they're supposed to be but we gotta fix your high block it needs to go here right
[00:41:29] and that helps people like feel up about what they're doing but then still receive the correction
[00:41:36] obviously it depends on the person because I just got yelled at a lot
[00:41:41] but when I call other people I was expected to do that so um know when to step in when to step back
[00:41:50] this is all experience time um you should practice it in your personal relationships
[00:41:56] you know um you see your wife your spouse struggle with something know when to step in
[00:42:02] and help her out so she'll be appreciative that you know you helped out or when to step back
[00:42:07] because she really wanted to do it herself right yeah that comes up a little bit too
[00:42:17] oh except the kids though because you're like oh I want help but sometimes you're helping
[00:42:26] doesn't give life we said doesn't give them the skills to grow right or self-just
[00:42:32] um know when to adjust your expectations know when to be available big one
[00:42:40] right and celebrate success so well I already touched on that one okay the doozy number eight
[00:42:51] tolerate with mistakes I guarantee you are not perfect because none of us are Jesus
[00:43:01] and you're not perfect and nobody that you ask to do anything is going to be perfect either
[00:43:07] so like do not use that as an excuse to not delegate in the future well I did it once and screwed it up
[00:43:15] well like did you even get them time to learn did you sit there and micromanage them the whole
[00:43:21] time you know so learning not losing and I understand big mistakes are made I've made big
[00:43:28] mistakes I think we all have you know but that's not a reason to not uh you know give somebody the
[00:43:36] opportunity or um give somebody else the opportunity maybe that person just wasn't the right fit
[00:43:43] there's somebody else who's like I really wanted to do that too so uh but yeah tolerating
[00:43:50] risks and mistakes as hard when you're as a leader you're pretty critical of yourself
[00:43:55] you got to drive if you're leading your your head of the family you're taking care of survival groups
[00:44:02] of cert groups of private camp things like that obviously you're gonna be pretty darn critical
[00:44:08] of yourself and your own actions and behaviors and so that is 100% going to translate to other
[00:44:15] people as a pretty hard martial arts instructor you know and that's because I'm just that rough
[00:44:22] on myself as well so I understand like all their people aren't going to operate with the same type
[00:44:30] of drive so you have to give them chances to make mistakes even without the same drive you got to
[00:44:36] give them an opportunity to make mistakes and uh not just be like oh wow you made a mistake
[00:44:44] you're done you're out of here out of the group good luck surviving out there alone
[00:44:55] that was fun run through real quick right yeah exactly and nobody's that's gonna demotivate people
[00:45:03] like you would never believe yeah yeah or on uh remember the titans we are all gonna do up bounds
[00:45:13] until he is no longer 30 okay like wow you know there's a certain grind of course that you're
[00:45:22] you're gonna deal with those type of situations but uh yeah keep more all up it's gonna be really
[00:45:29] important really important so it's gonna have to be the delicate leadership but at the same time has
[00:45:35] to be so tonally set because people have to be able to move immediately but also survive together
[00:45:42] so uh good luck everybody keep learning leadership I'm still learning you know if I'm ever done
[00:45:49] I'm thinking about it on the ground I love learning that was a good good little refresher today
[00:45:56] like I say I'm gonna apply that many answers we're here to help you sir hey you know I love you
[00:46:01] guys thank you for encouraging me for keeping me going hope you got as much benefit as I did
[00:46:10] amazing there's times you know you just need to stop and be like okay self reflect
[00:46:16] oh much as it's challenging to do all right on that note let's get into some changing earth news
[00:46:25] it's getting real damn ridiculous out there everybody here we go dream survive thrive
[00:46:38] this is changing earth news
[00:46:46] Richard new so we get two minor solar flare that happen today they should impact the middle of next
[00:46:55] week the only thing that gives me any kind of pause for concern about these is because we have
[00:47:02] that activity that's moving up through the gulf and whenever we get the solar impacts on top
[00:47:09] of those storms so I have to get amplified so other than that uh it looks like a pretty dry week
[00:47:18] minus the coastlines the east coast not the west coast west coast is hot so um places like India
[00:47:28] being getting slammed with water though that's gonna be an interesting topic today we're gonna
[00:47:34] quite a bit on that remember I was saying how weird it is that like some areas are flying
[00:47:40] same country same little place like a little country like one of our little states
[00:47:46] half of it is flooded and half of it is drought it is just being amplified like that all over
[00:47:52] the world right now it's really interesting so September 1st we're going all the way back to
[00:48:00] last Sunday because I did my research on Saturday so we have to do Sunday check up September 1st
[00:48:07] 333 earthquakes that were 2.0 or bigger biggest which was a 6.5 and poppy guinea I almost put
[00:48:14] south sandwich islands on because they were in the number two spot and I know you love your
[00:48:20] sandwiches I have to get me a sweatshirt from that place all right um still mega swarming
[00:48:31] in middle America like it is still just lit up in middle America as far as earthquake activity
[00:48:38] and also in central Asia it's that weird little place it's out on the desert and they've just
[00:48:46] been having extreme weather out there it just kind of makes you wonder like what's going on out there
[00:48:51] there's just that one little spot and then Central Asia is always clicking with activity
[00:48:59] the derwent valley I'm sure I slaughtered that because it's in Tasmania so I know Ellen would
[00:49:06] be like what um they had a flood emergency warning issued they've been just getting hit by
[00:49:14] wind storms and rain and flooding and uh both Australia and Tasmania it's kind of been a
[00:49:23] topic of articles like what is going on in Australia right now Istanbul Turkey also
[00:49:29] received a huge storm which provided a lot of flooding and even a hail storm in Istanbul
[00:49:36] on Monday September 2nd 2024 earthquakes were swarming all the way up north uh up to North America
[00:49:45] so had jumped we got some spotting up there the west coast middle America and then the Central Asia
[00:49:53] still hitting and then it just really lit up heavily in Indonesia 332 earthquakes our
[00:49:59] 2.0 or bigger biggest of which was a 5.3 on the southeast eastern island
[00:50:07] 4.6 earthquake in Quebec kind of strange up there Philippines were hit with the slow moving storm
[00:50:16] it's part of yet Yaggy it's a cyclone that came through Victoria and New South Wales was hit with
[00:50:24] damaging wind storm 180,000 people without power lots of damage from that south south
[00:50:31] cashmere in India hit with heavy rain when thunderstorms with hail their crops and their
[00:50:38] orchards and homes all received damage they lost pretty much 100 percent of the apple harvest
[00:50:45] this year because of the hail it was really sad to see all the apples just boom out of the
[00:50:52] trees the hail just took it out on September 3rd there was 336 earthquakes our 2.0 or bigger
[00:51:02] biggest of which was a 5.3 in the Philippine Sea the swarms were just clicking from North America
[00:51:11] all the way down to Central America so the whole coastline of the western part of the United
[00:51:16] States lit up and then from Indonesia all the way up to Russia lit up as well on the ring of fire
[00:51:23] so very active day this is one article I found very interesting the Amazon River communities are
[00:51:32] being left stranded as the drought worsens and water dries up it is really really sad nobody's
[00:51:43] been talking about this and when you see these pictures of what these communities it's like you
[00:51:48] know the Amazon is a huge river so it's water level is dropping but it has lots of side rivers
[00:51:54] and stuff as well so a lot of those side rivers are the ones that are drying up because there's
[00:52:00] just not enough water in the system so the water levels been falling since June to the
[00:52:06] lowest level on record and some rivers are completely drying up you just see the houses
[00:52:11] that are supposed to be like there on the water edge and they're just there with like the boat
[00:52:16] sitting on sand and stuff which is crazy because we're receiving so much rain over in Africa
[00:52:22] that's Sarah's turning green again so I'm sure if you ask somebody this is all human made
[00:52:29] and it's all our fault but I really think it's called an earth cycle that's happening
[00:52:35] that's really really interesting and you know we have all the the evidence that
[00:52:42] the area used to be green you know the area used to be bountiful so it's gonna be interesting
[00:52:51] September 4th 24 the swarming in the Americas continued it moved to South America more than
[00:52:58] North America Russia to Indonesia all the way down to New Zealand so we were getting hit at
[00:53:03] all that activity just really intensified 329 earthquakes over 2.0 or bigger biggest of which
[00:53:10] was a 5.3 at the Solomon Islands Nevada is still swarming as well much too close to the Long Valley
[00:53:19] called Darra for my comfort so we're not talking like right on it but still in the area it's in
[00:53:25] it's just too close for me to be like oh that's not a big deal um it is a big deal and it's still
[00:53:34] swarming over there so that's interesting deadly flooding in North Korea Kim Jong-un killed like
[00:53:43] 30 of his executives because his country got flooded so well that's another way
[00:53:54] there you go I mean there's your leadership example you don't like how they handle their
[00:54:01] responsibilities you just kill them off with their heads yeah interesting and then they had
[00:54:08] like oh he had a moment after an emotional moment like he just killed 30 people like whatever um
[00:54:19] Andra Pradesh in India heavy rain flooding and a flood alert in four districts big time flooding
[00:54:28] in San Antonio took place as well after heavy rains the bear fire in Sierra County grew to
[00:54:35] 3,000 acres in California and a sunken village emerged in Greece as the drought reduced the
[00:54:43] lake levels so that's pretty neat to check out on Thursday September 5th the activity earthquake
[00:54:52] activity um really centralized in middle America just spotting north and south but Russia all the
[00:55:00] Indonesia um also well that one also became less intense from Russia up to Indonesia so it's not a
[00:55:07] lighter day however we had 383 earthquakes that were 2.0 or bigger so we still the big quakes we
[00:55:13] just didn't have a lot of the little ones uh 6.2 in the Bismarck steep by Papua New Guinea was our
[00:55:19] biggest earthquake there's also a 5.7 earthquake in Bolivia kind of got hit with a storm 77 mile an
[00:55:26] hour winds ripped roots off and destroyed the street vendors so you're these poor guys are you
[00:55:34] know their carts are blowing down the street and they're trying to hang onto them it was kind of
[00:55:38] comical i probably shouldn't laugh at their misfortunes but um it was a little bit comical
[00:55:45] Iceland's still erupting uh lava expanding northward there in Iceland Boise County Idaho
[00:55:52] the wapiti fire grew to um from 2000 acres to 112,000 acres so lots of activity going on there
[00:56:04] Namibia in Namibia because their drought has been so bad so we've been reading or I've been you
[00:56:11] know presenting to you guys all about all these places in Africa that are flooding getting those
[00:56:17] monsoonal rains it's you know they're worried about color outbreaks and all this because all the rain
[00:56:23] but in Namibia they've had drought for so long they're gonna call which means kill 700 I don't
[00:56:32] know why they call it calling you know just why don't you just say the truth they're gonna kill
[00:56:36] 700 animals as a part of a relief program and this includes 83 elephants
[00:56:45] I was like are we fighting to like bring the elephants back and make sure they're there and I don't understand the logic of it you know there's only so much water and so
[00:56:53] um better that you know only 83 die rather and so everybody else can have water and stuff but
[00:57:00] sometimes I wonder about you know just humans meddling in everything all the time
[00:57:06] and uh that's just a lot of wildlife to lose stuff um maybe we could like send them some water or
[00:57:12] something you know I don't know what this call I just looked up call definition is to
[00:57:19] select or remove from a group okay that's why it's not just it's not just the act of a kill
[00:57:28] it's removing it's thinning that hurt basically maybe they're not going to kill them that maybe they
[00:57:34] and like ship them out to zoos or something you rose color glasses I'm crying man
[00:57:42] so sad so one of the things about elephants just real quick um when they used to do the gladiator games
[00:57:49] they were gonna do this big um elephant battle and like so many elephants were gonna die like a hundred
[00:57:56] elephants there and when they started killing the elephants the elephants started crying and just
[00:58:02] screaming and pain and tears and it's emotion and the crowd was like no don't kill any more elephants
[00:58:12] you know they're just really intelligent and I don't know why this was possible like that so
[00:58:18] um 22 south Ohio counties declare a natural disaster due to drought
[00:58:26] let me get killed with rain up there you know but these 22 counties are in a drought
[00:58:32] just land extremes very curious September 6 2024 359 earthquakes or 2.0 bigger biggest of which was a
[00:58:41] 5.7 in Argentina that was just the big hit of the day um it was just spotty activity in South America
[00:58:48] actually um North America coastline and middle America that activity really intensified there
[00:58:55] and then it would again let out from New Zealand all the way to watch a big activity going on
[00:59:01] 16 people unfortunately lost their lives when um Yagi hit Philippines and they don't know how
[00:59:12] many specifically were lost at sea they're thinking it's around a couple dozen people that they also
[00:59:16] lost to see when that storm that cyclone came through really really devastating storm that came
[00:59:22] through um the dust storm overtook the burning man festival that happens uh out in Death Valley
[00:59:31] every year last year they got flooded out this year they just got smacked with big old dust storm
[00:59:37] and Mount Samarue in Indonesia had a bigger eruption again on September 7 2024 333 earthquakes
[00:59:46] are 2.0 or bigger biggest of which was a 6.0 in the South Pacific Ocean near Tonga
[00:59:52] some of the American middle American activity intensified again but the Mediterranean really
[00:59:58] lit up and Indonesia activity wasn't as major but there was a 3.9 near Ontario followed by
[01:00:06] another earthquake there was a 3.9 earthquakes warned Los Angeles there was a 6.0 near the
[01:00:13] Tonga region um well that was my first one and then there was a 4.5 that knocked out power
[01:00:21] in Hunter region in Australia so a lot of big activity happened in Yagi hit Taiwan and China
[01:00:29] on that day killed six people injured 78 more major property damage were talking 99 mile an hour
[01:00:37] wind ripping through um Poonan was especially a hard hit and about 50 000 people had to be
[01:00:45] evacuated out of there so we're talking a big storm UK was hit with heavy rains flooding
[01:00:51] NBC their fires are also intensifying right now there's been a major heat dome laying in over
[01:00:58] the west um part of north america so big time wildfire risked again uh research after last
[01:01:06] week we had a pretty good week september 8th that is today sunday there's been 349 earthquakes
[01:01:13] that are 2.0 or bigger biggest of which was another 6.0 hit in Tonga so you can be sure that
[01:01:19] energy is going to be blasting out from there middle america and uh south america activity
[01:01:25] intensified again russia to new zealand went off big time today i don't know if it was
[01:01:32] already like pre-energy from the steams or what but that just got so much more swarming
[01:01:36] in there there was a 5.3 earthquake at the geysers in california 55 aftershocks the geysers gets a
[01:01:44] lot of activity but that is a lot of activity that is a place where they actually do the
[01:01:49] geothermal heating so they drill down in and then they use the geothermal heating to spend
[01:01:54] two rides and uh so that's why they get a lot of earthquakes there i don't usually report on
[01:01:59] them 55 aftershocks that's pretty intense um the stan bernadino fire exploded it's called the line
[01:02:09] fire it exploded yesterday when did heat just kicking that thing up they have an evacuations
[01:02:15] happening right now um i can't remember i think it's up to like a hundred and it might not be
[01:02:23] that much it only might be like 7 000 acres but it went from like nothing to those 77 000 acres
[01:02:30] just overnight bolivia is also calling for a natural emergency due to the raging forest fires
[01:02:37] that are happening there um 17 000 acres it's right outside of their big uh big city i can
[01:02:47] remember what it is right now but uh they're worried about it coming in and their whole city
[01:02:52] is just in smoke okay so big news that i have for you today the volcanoes so i was impressed when we
[01:03:03] saw 34 for the first time you see 34 volcanoes erupting i'm thinking okay this is just gonna be a
[01:03:11] fluke we're gonna be back down the 20s it used to be weird to see 29 28 erupting at once that
[01:03:17] that was like wow that's okay so when we got up to 34 i was like wow then it hung out for months
[01:03:25] now we're up to 35 volcanoes actively erupting we added one more to that list we got 91
[01:03:34] showing activity on our on our planet all together 32 showed minor activity 24 showing
[01:03:40] on the west still mostly in indonesia but the ring of fire is following more and more erupting
[01:03:47] around the ring of fire so we definitely have to keep eyes on that especially we have this planetary
[01:03:54] alignment coming with the gas giants that are going to form the square on october 20th and last
[01:04:00] time that happened was like 87 ad and that's when mount mesuvius erupted last time so really
[01:04:07] interesting stuff and i keep in mind too the agri casey was like when mesuvius and pele erupted
[01:04:12] at the same time it's bad news for nevada so we have that sitting there and we have campy flagray
[01:04:18] which is showing activity which is basically a lee's yellowstone so if you had campy flagray
[01:04:25] go off at the same time as mesuvius was i'm like holy moly i hope somebody else is actually watching
[01:04:38] like paying attention to these numbers who who could like warn people more than i can with my
[01:04:45] little change in her podcast but uh yeah that's that's something to see as far as wildfires in
[01:04:54] united states we are at a preparedness level of five which is our top number we have 70 large fires
[01:04:59] currently building burp currently burning for a total of two million 34 000 acres three of those fires
[01:05:08] are contained there's five new ones that were just added to the list number one state on fire
[01:05:13] is oregon they had two new fires they have 23 active fires for a total of five hundred and
[01:05:19] 43 000 acres only one of those fires is contained california second on the list they have one new
[01:05:26] fire seven active burning fires for a total of 484 000 acres none of those fires are contained
[01:05:34] bioming is number three on the list and one of the sad things i've been told a lot of what burning
[01:05:41] and bioming is actually wheat fields so that's never a good thing no new fires five active fires
[01:05:47] for a total of 468 000 acres only one of those fires is contained and then i'd owe number four on the
[01:05:56] list no new fires 19 active fires 301 000 acres of fire and none of those are contained so there
[01:06:06] we go we're just going to keep eyes on this situation with the volcanoes as we come up to
[01:06:10] october 20th i don't know i just you know i watched a lot of different uh media and uh
[01:06:18] just different aspects like we can't always depend on how it's been done in the past right we got form
[01:06:24] for a new pass and um to see all these things kind of lining up like oh so uh yeah in traffic
[01:06:33] commander sleep well my friend he's always like i'll never sleep now
[01:06:42] all right guys well we went a little bit over time thank you for coming spending your time with us
[01:06:47] tonight um we're just jamming up for prepper camp um to get the live round table i'm going to be
