Good morning, PBN. So, it's Halloween. And on top of that, the world is absolute chaos. The shelves are empty and you're running out of toilet paper. What are you going to do? The government's telling you to prepare. Guess what? We've been telling you that the whole time. Not that the shelves are empty. You're seeing those posts going live. Stating that toilet paper and water are running thin. And yes, I have seen a large uptick of people purchasing it. But nationally, the store shelves are fine. So is this created to, in its own, create mass chaos and panic? No. This is something you should have been doing from the beginning. The fact that these military bases and systems have not been set in for a 90-day preparedness goes to show the lack of ability or lack of planning when it comes to large-scale events. Helene. Twin Towers. Name any natural disaster event that's occurred that has left people without power, food, and water. Now, most of the time, it is only for a short period of time. But there are those events in which it is a large-scale or long-term event. So here's the big thing. I'm seeing posts. I am getting notifications that, hey, should I be concerned? Should I be worried? I've had a big uptick in people asking questions about preparedness. I'm glad you're thinking. I'm glad you're asking questions. But all of this, if this has to get your attention, wake up. It has been an alert system for years. And not just because it's Halloween. But maybe this will get your attention. This is not a test. We want you to start your preparedness. So the Pentagon released and unveiled its FORTRESS initiative or FORTRESS plan. And FORTRESS stands for Federal Operations of Resilience, Troop Resources, Energy Supply, and Survivability. Mind you, these should have been in act already. I've been saying it for a long time and so have quite a few other hosts. If you're going to start prepping, you start with a minimum of three months food, water, and shelter or power source. Okay? That's something we've talked about. Now, there are a lot of people who are now terrified because I'm also seeing rumors, speculations, that we're in for a total war because other countries and nations are preparing for the same thing. That they are terrified that something is going to happen. Guess what? Something could. Not saying it will, not saying it won't, but it very much could. It's just the way of the world. The nature of the beast. So, as James had introduced yesterday, we are starting our own initiative of our own home fortress initiative. Why? Because we want you to be able to prepare for those times. Now, A lot of you say it's a large-scale concern and worry and it's expensive. It doesn't have to be. There are plenty of things that James will go over in our eight-week course here on PBN. It's all free. About the information that we're going to go over. The power. We're going to cover it up for your immediate fixes and your renewability options. Immediate fixes are going to be affordable and easy and doable for you. If you want to prepare, prepare. But don't go out and panic because you lacked that. That is what we'll see, possibly, is a few people start freaking out and start panic buying. Doesn't do you any good if you don't know how to cook it, how to store it, or how to even keep it. We don't need this to be another COVID. But we don't know. That's not it, though. I mean, there is enough breaking news to tell everybody. Yes, that is the big hot take right now. Everybody's talking about it. Let's see. Actually, here's a big one, too. And I did not get it put up on the banner. But silver and gold are down. Is this all convenient? Is it relevant? I don't know. I don't know, but I'm watching the markets because if you're going to buy, consider buying. But be smart about it. Don't break yourself trying to prepare for everything and leave yourself broke that you can't keep the lights on for tomorrow. I am trying to pull this up so I can take a good look real quick. Here we go. Precious metals. So everything is down. in the markets when it comes to precious metals, except for zinc and crude oils are both up. And of course, crypto. So closing market as of yesterday, silver is at $ 49. 25 per ounce. It was just $ 58 a few days ago. Gold is down to $ 3, 876. 40 per ounce. That's a $ 146, a little over $ 146 decline. Just within that market for the day. Mind you, it's dropped a little bit more than that over the last couple of days. And we've seen it. I watched it steadily tick down. Now, what does this mean? It could mean a lot of things. And I could say what I think, but it could be just speculation. Um, Maybe metals are going down because the market's going to increase on cost and limitations due to everyone being worried. Maybe this drop is going to cause enough people to panic buy and purchase that it's going to shoot the market up so high it's going to be unobtainable. I don't know. But pay attention. Platinum's down. Palladium is down. Believe it or not, I believe uranium was one of the only ones that did not drop. Uranium. Sorry. Crude oil is up. There was one where it looked like uranium had leveled a little bit and had increased. I'm not seeing it now. But that's just it. Things are chaotic enough as it is. Let's not add to it, but let's be prepared and ready. This is what we're here for. You need to keep in mind that a 90-day supply is always recommended for a minimum. It only takes, actually doesn't even take, you know, they say we're three miles away from total anarchy. I think it's less than that. People panic and people will do whatever they have to to feed their family, to feed themselves, or just to be outright malicious and cruel. That's the way of the world, unfortunately. Sorry. And it's chilly. So I love the saying, and this is where it's going to stand true. And I think everyone knows it, but hard times create strong men Strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times. We have hit our point of enough weak men that our times are going to get even harder. When I jump back over to this, you know, the speculations for the 90 days that I've I will give you three separate theories that I have had people give me, and I want to hear what you think. If you're alive right now, put it in the chat. If you're not, reach out to me. I have heard that they believe this is going to be a way to increase cost, to be able to set limitations and drive the market into an insane levels of unsurvivability in the sense for the modern person. We already have to work two to three jobs just to maintain our home. How many more would it take to actually keep going? I have heard the theory that it is to preemptively disable ourselves to be able to keep away a possible strike. Again, these are all speculations and theories from people that I've heard, and I appreciate hearing these thoughts. Uh, Would that happen to be able to protect our people? Possibly. And if a known common attack was going to happen, that doesn't sound unreasonable to do in the grand plan. But for the sheeple and everybody else who can't wrap their head around it, it sounds like an absolute atrocity. But are you ready? Are you ready to be able to go three days? Okay, how about ten? What happens when you go two weeks? Or a month without these resources? Can you make it a full week? Two months without power, water, and food? We already know the human body can only survive so long without certain means of nutrition. So we're not asking you to starve. We're not asking you to go without. We're asking you to put plans in action to be able to protect your family and feed your family and keep those resources available. We're coming into the cold months. So you got to think if anything were to happen within months, the next 90 days ourself, we're going to be hitting some cold temperatures and some freezing nights for quite a few of us here in the United States. What do you do then? Do you have blankets? Do you have a heating source? Do you have a safe means of protecting your family from the elements while keeping them warm, fed, and taken care of? I'm not trying to scare you, but I want you to think. sit down and make a theory and run with that idea. What would you do? I'm not asking you to panic buy. If anything, I'm telling you not to panic buy. Yes. Should you be stocking up on goods already? Yes. Do you need to read and get some sources, uh, resources, then do it. But panic buying does nothing for anyone. Not telling you not to buy just, Think about it. But a lot of times the preppers and the people who are watching this, who are along like minds with me, we're not panic buying because we're already ahead of the curve. Now, is there always more I could do? Absolutely. I'm actually going to be jumping into this initiative with everybody else. When James had mentioned it and then we all started spitballing together, I said, I volunteer as tribute. I'm more than happy to volunteer myself. a little bit of time out of my day because it doesn't take much time to do this. I plan on working on our power sources. That's a big one. I have heat and sources in plan, but it's also time to refuel, to make sure the propane tanks are full and there's no leaks, to make sure the kerosene's good, to make sure I have those means. The extra cooktop, the candles, the tea lights. Hell, do the terracotta method if you're really that pressed. And what I mean by the terracotta method is where you take the bottom plate, you put a couple tea lights in there, put a terracotta pot over it. You can place one of the bottom water trays on top. And what it does is it creates heat and that heat can actually warm a small room or warm a room. Those are things to consider is what means do you have for your plants? Now, I'm not saying one backup. two or three we have backups for our backups for our backups because sometimes things don't work out the way we want them to we're gonna get a curveball we're gonna meet a hitch in the road we realized we left something idle so long it fell apart and it's no longer a viable option let's see Those are all things you have to consider when it comes to preparedness. All right. But I got your attention. This is for the breaking news alone. Let's see. I want to pull something up to you. And I want to read it to you. I want you to realize that this initiative that we are working on, on our own home fortress initiative, is not to take away from anybody. It's not to... We want everyone to be ready for anything. It's what prepping is about. Let's go back to the definition of prepper, right? For us, a prepper is anything... Preparing. Let me rephrase. Preparing is anything... is getting ready for anything that could alter, affect, or derail your everyday way of living. Fire, hurricane, natural disaster, loss of work, injury, you name it. We want you to keep going, even if the world stops around you. So, this initiative is going to be something I think everybody should tune into. Yeah, there are a lot of parts to it. And we don't want to overwhelm you with everything at once. We want to take our time. But if you have questions, we can give you answers to the best of our ability. We can find out and we can speak with you. The world is mad enough. The world is crazy enough. And the post on social media, do not help that fear mongering. You know what? Let me just do a quick Google search. All right, let's see. So I'm putting in, what is the public reaction to this? Oh. Apparently, one of the first key words that popped up is anxiety. Anxiety and doomsday speculation on social media and across public forums and announcements sparked intense debate and concern over whether the 90-day self-sufficient mandate signals an intimate or high-risk domestic conflict. It doesn't matter if it does. If there's going to be conflict, there's nothing we can do to stop. But we can be prepared. or if it does happen. The civilian gap. It has it like this. Frustration. A major point of public critique focuses on the disparity between the military and the general public. Let me say something to those people who are tuning in from the general public. No one cares. In the sense that you cannot expect the government to save you. The government has to be able to save themselves in order to be able to enact anything. The fact that they're doing this for the military personnel and troops is not a bad sign, in my opinion. It's encouraging to see that they are taking means because in all the doomsday books and movies, what is one of the first places that collapses? The military bases themselves. Because the infrastructure completely crumbles from the inside out. We've seen many books where unfortunately hard decisions are made in that case where they have to, you know, have certain people surviving and going on. And if you want a government to save you, you have to make sure the government survives. But you can't count on the fact that they are going to be solely there to save you. I know it's ugly. I know it's mean. Let's see. Let me see what else they're saying about our people and welcome in from our Twitch stream. Good morning. I would have been on here even earlier, but the porch light went out and it was extremely dark. So I would have been talking to you from just a completely dark screen. So people are making comparisons to the European guidance program. They think that the plan to simultaneously... Did not mean to do that. So there are actually a lot of criticism over the European guidance compared to the U.S. 90-Day Fortress Guidance or Plan initiative because of the fact that the British government urged citizens to maintain a 72-hour, which is three days of emergency food, water, and cash. This has led survival experts... to publicly urge American families to take domestic infrastructure vulnerabilities seriously and build their own local emergency kits. We have been saying this for years. I don't know how many times I can beat this dead horse. This is not new. But if you're new to PBN and you're new to Prepen, it starts now. It starts the moment you click on this video. It's the moment that you listen to my voice telling you, you need to get started. Prepping is not about panic. It's not about scarcity. Well, it's not about scaring you. There are no scare tactics, but it is being prepared in times of scarcity, being prepared in times of hard, being prepared in times of woefulness, and everything else. It's being ready. Are you? Have you done anything? Now, as you go about your day trick-or-treating with your family or going to events or even drinking the day away for those people who are child-free, think about what you're going to do to protect your family, yourself, how you're going to feed, and how you're going to survive. There's a lot of people out there who's going to say, I'll just take what I want. Knock on wood, you... Wait, you know what? Not knock on wood. I hope you find the house that's going to show you elsewise. But that's just it. There are plenty of people out there who are going to take what other people have because they didn't prepare and they don't care and they think brute force will be enough. So, people are concerned about the cost. How much is this going to cost the people? How much does it already cost the people? For everything. You're going to sit there and you're going to worry about it for what? For what? So wake up. Wake up. Start putting in effect plans for your family. If you don't know where to start, reach out to us. I've created my own home emergency planner. Not on this scale. I do plan on expanding it so we can include some of the initiative in there. But data sheets, personal sheets, emergency preparedness plans for in-house, out-of-house, and a safe location. Start saving money. Yes, the U.S. dollar is not great, but which is funny is the U.S. dollar actually increased when precious metals went down, which is concerning for me because The U.S. dollar is not backed by a gold standard anymore. Hasn't been for a while. Now, if it would go back, that's great. But what we hold is paper, a piece of paper and some metal coins. Those will only last for so long. Invest in your family, food, water, power. Yes, I'd love to have a huge solar setup like some of the people I know. I don't have that kind of money. We don't make a lot of money in this household, but we make ends meet and we make do. So look into other options and you'll see all of this in the plan. We have secondary backups because we live in the middle of nowhere in a very old house. Sometimes things just stop working, not because it's broken or because it's broken. But that's how it is. I have animals I still have to feed and water and tend to. I have a garden and plants that I have to get winterized, which I keep putting off. And then I'm going to, it's going to kick me in the butt for that one later. But this is it. What are you doing to plan for your family? Especially once you've heard the fortress, um, plan pentacon's fortress so instead we now have your home fortress initiative i'm going to keep saying that i'm going to keep saying that it doesn't have to break your bank it doesn't have to stop the world around you it's just going to give you more security got food in the cabinet food in the freezer I've got chickens and animals that I classify as either food now or food later or future food. That's my future food or food later. Now could something happen? Absolutely. It's understood that things happen. Sometimes animals die. Sometimes a predator gets them. That is the way of the world. I'm not going to sit here and cry that the world is so cruel and treating me so bad. Put your big girls on. And move on. We have dealt with super hard times here, and I know you have as well. I could tell you how hard the world has been and how cruelly I've been treated. It wouldn't make an ounce of a difference. I'm coming to y'all a bit harsh, but at the same time, wake up. We are creating hard times with all these weak men. Those hard times are going to create strong men. So start being strong now. So when the times get harder, you can make it through it. That's for men and women. I'm doing everything I can on my side to make sure my family is prepared for anything that's thrown our way. We already know Helene has rocked the western North Carolina and this entire region. We are not untouchable. And we know that. Has that given quite a few people here PTSD? Yes. But we make do. We keep going and we keep planning. You want to know how I do it? I do stock up, but I don't Buy all in the masses at once. I do a little accumulation, so it's affordable. Oh, hi. Hi, I have a guest. Hi, good morning. But mushrooms, we love mushrooms. And we're coming out of the season where origin is not going to be great. Grown is not going to be great. So I dehydrate them. Bought them at a great price. I buy them in bulk because I can spend not very much. I think it's $ 4 a pack and it's quite a bit of mushrooms. And I just dehydrate them and put them away and we use them in everything. All right. I'm going to have to go to a commercial break so I can tend to this little creature. Let me do that because guess what? Even though I love my listeners. My family and my kids will always come first. Just give me one moment. I am going to remove my camera. But that way, if the commercial break ends too soon, there is still plenty more to be had. Let me find. Oh, yep. Let's see. Alright, so, um... Trying to make sure I don't accidentally grab somebody else's. You know what? You're kind of just stuck with me trying to figure all this out. Oh, yep. Sounds like he's tripped. All right, let me grab this. You get this, and I shall be back. This is Phil Rappelate, head maniac from Matter Facts Podcast and wife annoyance specialist from Raising Values. Whatever your preferred caffeination, be it coffee or tea, we have you covered. Everything from sacks of bunker beans to favorites like Dark Humor to newcomers like Uncle Randy's Front Porch can be found at Disaster Coffee, alongside all of our tea offerings, E & P and Gray Man. Whether you're looking for that daily brew to get you started or that evening sip on the porch, come check out Disaster Coffee. All right. Thank you, PBNers. I appreciate that and the understanding. Motherhood does not stop regardless of what I have going on. And hopefully it never does. He's mad. story of my life most toddlers usually are okay sorry I've mentioned the silver and gold. I've mentioned the home fortress initiative of our own. Because why not? If the government can plan, you can too. Let's see. Now's the time, though. If you are planning for your... He's so mad, so this may be cut short. If you're planning for those rainy days... If you already have your food and water and plants, great. But for the rest of us, it's not that simple. We're not made of money. A lot of us are working at least two jobs, some more. Most of the time, it's two incomes in the house regardless. What am I doing? I'm getting ready for the garden next year. Already. Why? Because that's an option on my renewable end. Will it actually produce? I don't know. The last two years haven't been a great outcome. But that is a part of it. I've moved. I've relocated. It's a whole new region. I'm finding out things about certain products and items I used to purchase that are no longer as reliable as they used to. It is figuring out what's going to work for us. Eventually, I would love to have my own little greenhouse. But until then, I'm going to make do and try to contain and save the plants the best way I can and keep going. Gardens are not 100%. My rosemary's holding on. My time never lasts. And both the pun and the plant. Elderberry's doing great. My lime's surprisingly doing great. Tomatoes, eh. Little to no peas. No loofah. Passionflower's holding in. But we are getting to the cold months where everything's going to start dying back. And believe it or not, my strawberries have just started blooming. Explain that one to me. And same with my, my turmeric is looking amazing. So it's just to show it's been a wild year on the plants you can't get to sustain and the ones you can't. I'm going to always recommend heirloom, and this year I didn't stick to my full heirloom. And the heirloom seeds I did have, I have a battle and hate relationship with the local chipmunks. I have to figure out new ways to grow and start and seed, and that's a part of it. We didn't have a great year with our hatchings either. out of four turkeys, three turkeys, one survived currently. Out of eight ducks, I have three left. Out of all the chicks I've hatched, none of them survived. That's just the way of it sometimes. You can do everything right and something's going to happen. But it doesn't mean that I'm giving up or it's a bad thing. It's a lesson to be learned. It's Tricks and tips for future problems and ways to resolve in those. Start your planning. Be mindful of what you're planning. 90 days minimum. I always recommend that. If you can't get up to 90 days, fine. Start with a month. If you can't do a month, do a week. But please start putting things away for your family. Look into making sure you have water. food, shelter, and warmth. Is that power? Yes. There is power. I am going to end up cutting this super short today just because that little one is upset. But I will be back. If not today, probably tomorrow. There is a lot more I would have loved to go into, but I was just so focused on this. I wanted your attention. I want you to Realize that preparedness is not waiting on somebody else, is not the plan of somebody else, but preparedness is you. You are the beginning of the entire plan itself. What you can do to take the steps, what you can do to make sure those problems or means are taken care of, and how to keep going. I want you to really sit down and think about What does your household need? And now we all need more money. So I know somebody out there is thinking I need money. Well, me too, darling. But I'm not in podcasting for money. I'm in it because I enjoy speaking to the listeners. I enjoy putting the information out there and having people understand you're not the only one who's going through hard times. That we struggle. That I have gardens that fail and I record them and I post them and I share them because I'm not afraid to show you that failure happens. And sometimes more often than we'd like, but I'm going to keep going because that's the part of being a PBN member or being a prepper period is we are relentless. We are resilient and we keep going no matter what. So for the new listeners, let PBN become more for you. As people, as preppers, finding your foot in a world that's getting crazier every day, at least here's PBN. We can be a part of that. We can lead you, guide you, and even learn from you. That's what this is about. We are a community. We are a family. And we're not going anywhere. So, we don't plan to give up. Neither should you. So I want everyone to have an amazing Halloween. I want you to enjoy dressing up and having fun. But at the same time, be awake, be aware, and be vigilant. Not just because the candy could be poison or the needles are a razor blade in the chocolate. We've dealt with that as us kids who grew up. We've seen that. I'm not trying to fearmonger you, but I want you to realize there is more to it. As you're a parent who is taking your little one trick-or-treating, look at them and think to yourself, how long am I willing to let my child go hungry for? I won't. I will never let my children go without. I'll go without before they will. That's part of the reason I do three-day fast every so often. Is because I don't have to eat. I don't have to eat all the time. And I'm okay with that. I grew up poor. I grew up hungry. And I'll be damned if I ever let my children go hungry. That's part of the reason I prep. It's part of the reason I plan. As I refuse to let my children go through the hard times I grew up in. It is just that simple. Not trying to make you think dark, but sometimes you have to in the sense of what are you doing to make sure there's food in that cabinet and on those shelves for your family? So for us, and a lot of you aren't going to like this, is I am an ingredient-based house. What does that mean? There are no instant snacks here. Well, Jordan, how can you cook if there's no power? Back up. I have backups. So, I have a Coleman cooktop. What happens if the propane cook goes out? I have a grill. Well, no charcoal. I live in the woods. I am not opposed to cooking by campfire, even in that grill. Doesn't bother me. I can still cook. But I find that it saves me a lot more money to be an ingredient-based home than instant snacks. Now, there is more to it in our household of why we're not an instant snacks house is because half the food out there will kill me. I've gone into anaphylactic a few times because soy is in everything. So the fact that I cook from scratch has actually probably been the reason I've stayed alive as long as I have for as long as I have, because food anymore is not trying to help you. It is trying to kill you. But at the same time, things. Go out, buy your 20 pound bag of rice. If you actually eat it, store it properly or the peanut butter. Now, do I buy bread sometimes for the boys or for the kids? Yes, because making a loaf of bread every so often isn't so bad as having to bake several loaves of bread multiple times a week. So yes, I do cut corners in some places and there are some things in our house that are relatively easy. But I don't buy, we don't have junk food. We don't have a bunch of crap in our house. Everything is stuff we will eat. Meals that we all know. And I write my recipes down. And when I make a new one, I try to keep track of them because our entire family enjoys it. Hi. You ready for breakfast? No. No. But he's getting eggs. We have eggs. See, I went to get off here and then just went down a whole new diatribe because I just want people to be self-aware. If not for you, for your family. This is not going to be the last time you hear it. If anything, out of the next eight weeks, you're going to hear it on repeat. So pay attention because this is not a test at all. This is the time to put your planning together and to look out for yourself and your family. This is the time where testing the limits on talking about doing it and maybe considering doing it is no longer an option. Either take the Pentagon's fortress plan as a threat, as a hoax, however you choose, fine. But don't with the home fortress initiative. Because we want you to be ready for anything. You do want eggs? He said no, but he wants eggs. All right. So keep in mind that let planning and prepping fit into your budget and lifestyle. Prepping doesn't have to be a chore. It can just be a part of your life like it is ours. And it takes away the stress. I look in that pantry and I look in my food storage that I've put away and I know my family is going to be safe. I can always do more and should always do more. But at least I have that security blanket to make sure my family is going to keep going. So PBNers, thank you for stopping in. Happy Halloween. I hope you have an amazing day. But remember, this is not a test and you need to start planning. Preparedness starts with you and you are plan number one. So get ready. All right, folks, take care. Happy Halloween and have fun and stay safe. Bye y'all.
