Monica hulubi close, Hulu bee, hulu be, Pierre Galini that one you got, oh man, the Italian words, I can get those anyway. She mother hare three children, A daughter of parents who immigrated from Romania in nineteen seventy five. Monica experienced Jesus' Radical transformation comfort at the age of sixteen, and she have a passion for advocating for USA's most vulnerable children. She former educator, administrator, current educational consultant, and volunteer in her church's on Wanna program. And you are here to talk about the well, you're actually the city director for Urban Youth Collaborative, but we're going to be talking about that quite a bit on the show today. That's right. Thanks for having me. Absolutely, it's a real pleasure. I love people who see a need and don't look to government to fix it. You saw a need here, you saw some trouble within our youth, and you said I'm going to do something about that. That's right. I've been in as you read, Jesus saved and changed my life. I grew up with not the strongest family. My dad was an alcoholic. There was abuse in the family, and when we see kids experience things like that, we do expect them not to be behaving quite as well. The public school system didn't quite know what to do with us Hulubeys. Out of us four kids, only one of us ended up graduating, and that was not me. I was kicked out of school here locally by eighth grade, and to be honest, that was a celebration for me. Most kids that aren't doing so well would be happy to be expelled. Unfortunately, when kids aren't at school, they're not doing the right thing. I got into drugs and alcohol by the age of twelve, even shooting up meth by the age of fifteen. And if it wasn't for Jesus Christ who revealed himself that he loves me, he has a plan for me to prosper me and do me good, not harm. And he laid out in front of me that there is life on the right and death on the left, and I had a choice. There was no middle ground. You know, I love that story and I thank you for sharing it. You actually have me beat. I got kicked out eleventh and twelfth grade of school, and I always say that actually helped me not get so indoctrinated. But yeah, I means very similar story with me as well. Got into some bad things. I joined the Marine Corps to get out of that, and it certainly helped. But you've lived it, so you've lived that life and you know that it's empty. Like you said, there's only death down that road, and you don't want that for other kids. No, that's exactly when the Lord saved me. I'm like, Lord, what can I do? What can I do with my life? Because I'm forever grateful, and he put it on my heart, go back, go into education, help kids that were just like me, that needed somebody. I needed someone to connect with, and I didn't get that. So I went to go solve that problem. And I used education as an opportunity to preach the word at every opportunity. I got my ged I went to community college, I went to the local university, and at the same time got my bachelor and Biblical study from my local church. And I went into public education wanting to speak the truth. And I got to love on kids, and the Lord blessed me and all of my endeavors, but I realized it's only the name of Christ that's going to be saved. And there was a lot of confusing stuff. Not only was I in a place where a third grader wanted to be called a boy even though she was a girl, and the administration decided not to tell family. And I was convicted to my core that I can't keep doing this. And God blessed those Christian teachers that are still in a place where they have to hide. And it is a place where you have to sometimes choose a paycheck over your morals. And the Lord gave me a way out. He put it on my heart so strong this last school year in twenty twenty five, the Ecclesiastes theme everything is useless unless it points back to Christ. And so I spent some time fasting and praying and looking Lord, how can I bring the Gospel, the only name that'll save and change to our kids? And I did the old fashioned way, look on Facebook, and I found a ministry that actually my own church had supported. I started in California Urban Youth Collaborative. They are getting down in California, thirty five hundred kids a week here. The gospel during the school day, and I said, Lord, why not here in my own town and Spokane? And I said, Lord, I'm willing send me and through steps of faith. This is a fully mission oriented, donor supported role. I left a pretty lofty job as an administrator and consultant and God has provided. Is it truly an incredible story there following the Lord's lead, you know, And there's a lot at stake there, you know, giving up the comfort of you know, I'm okay here, I'm well established, I'm earning a good paycheck and going into the unknown. And I celebrate with you that you took this initiative and really allowed the Lord to lead here. You actually jumped a question that I was going to ask you, and I'm so glad that you did. But in public school, we've got some problems here. I mean, people who watch the show know that I am an advocate for getting Christians getting their kids out of public education. My kids, I'm very open about it, do not go to public school. They go to a private school. I absolutely love that. But it's not just the whole trans thing that's going on as well. There's also that critical race theory, critical Marxism. I mean, there's a lot to look at with public education and walk away from. Yeah, there is a lot going on, unfortunately, and it does stem from multiple items, right, And I do believe that truth and light will overcome darkness. And so my son, who is a tenth grader, attends the local high school and uyc's vision is that we empower our Christian youth in secondary education according to the Equal Access Act that they have every right to lead a student led faith based club. And so my son was able to help start their Bible club that meets every Wednesday called the Word Club. Over a hundred kids come every week. Free pizza. Does help the situation, of course, but one hundred kids, kids that have never heard the gospel before, come and hear the counterlie. It would not have happened if we didn't have Christian youth that were willing, ready and strong enough to be light in the darkness. They viewed as a mission field, not as a school. Yeah, and one of the things that I'm noticing the trends, you know, the pendulum is always swinging. I believe that the youth in particular have had it up to hear with just lies, just open lies that they can identify. It flies in the face of logic. You know, when a boy says he's a girl or a girl says she's a boy, and so they're hungry. They're looking for that truth. And it's awesome that Christianity will supplies the ultimate truth. It does. And is it is it only in schools that we face so many lies? It's everywhere, it is. Everywhere, And so where are we going to teach her youth to decipher and to be able to separate truth from error? And it's got to start right away because the devil is rampant twisting the words of truth and put in craziness as truth. Mm hm, No, you're absolutely right. So let's talk about Urban Youth Collaborative. You know, looking into this program, I really do like what I'm seeing and the fact that it starts in California, where I think the vast majority of Americans can point to California and go there's a problem. Right. There's a few states like New York would probably be another one. I would include Washington in organ it seems like the whole West Coast is a mess. But I love that it started in California where other individuals saw a problem and took initiative. Amen. And that was a youth pastor whose church was not thriving with youth. And then he got stopped right in front of a high school where the bell ring and then it was just flooded. Do you know currently our comprehensive high schools are around fifteen to two thousand kids, and those students have been indoctrinated. There is a false understanding of a church versus state and our public education system, and so not even the truth of what our country was founded on are actually being taught. And so he heard the voice of the Lord say go to them, don't wait, And so he found out do you know that this constitutional right of the First Amendment, as well as the Equal Access Act, are not taught to our teachers. It's not taught to our pastors. Even our local church officials don't realize they have an open door in public education to preach the gospel. As a guest speaker, if we would just disciple our youth to be fishers of men instead of pew fillers. I agree. And it's interesting because the Mormons have known this for forever. They've been doing this for a long time, and we just finally picked up on it that if they're doing it, obviously we can do it as well. That's exactly right. If you've probably spoken about this. But if you notice where the Mormon temples are placed, they are placed right next to a church. There are two constitutional rights. One is to bring kids out of the school once a week and give them Bible education. Life Wise is a great organization that supports that. In my church's model, we view that as for our elementary's kids, and then we disciple our middle school and high schoolers to go into the schools and actually share the gospel. And currently this school year, the Lord has blessed the work I have by thirteen church partners, nine Bible clubs started in our middle school high schools. Two more on the way, so that'd be eleven in one school year. Wow, And that means we're reaching over two hundred and fifty kids within the first year with the gospel. Been really well, man, my bags are getting big. Well, I mean, good for you, though. You're building treasure in heaven at that point, right, we can rest when we die, is kind of the way I look at things. Yes, So if you don't mind, I mean, I'd love for the Spokane audience here to be able to see which schools are participating in Do you mind dropping some names here? I would love to Mount Spokane High School. I figured it was them. I a yes, because they have a praying teacher who's been leading before contract day twenty five years of Bible study and prayer meeting. The soil had been laid and prepared. Then we go to East Valley High School, West Valley High School, U High, Shadle Park High School, Medical Lake, Rogers High School. Really Rogers, that's really good news. Oh and you know what, within the first two weeks, over fifteen youth committed their lives to the Lord. I love it. And then we have some middle schools Freeman High School, Middle School as well as Gary Middle School. Okay, so yeah, once again very busy and the church support. This is such an essential factor of this, right, is that we need more and more churches on board. I'll be honest with me. This has been one of the frustrations that I've had really with the American Church as a whole. Is a lot of them will talk a big game, you know, the church will we filled on Sundays, but going out into the community is something that well, I find to be lacking. No, I liken it to the parable of the Good Samaritan, of who is your neighbor our public schools, public schools was that guy that was left for dead, He was robbed, he was stolen from And that's our schools. Our schools have been robbed with the truth, they've been lied to. It's every mark of the enemy to steal, kill and destroy. And then who were the three examples that Jesus explained? One were the scribes And they just noted and they're like, okay, let's write some more stats about the horrible stature of our public schools. The Pharisee or the Levite, who was the church man wouldn't dare to go near it so that they wouldn't get defiled because it's so disgusting, exactly, whereas the Good Samaritan, the lowest of the low of the Jews, right quent and clothed, anointed, and invested money. And so that is what I see as our public schools. We cannot leave them as dead. And as churches, we have the right to be the guest speaker of a faith based club. And so that's the caveat. I just preached yesterday to sermons to youth that had never heard the gospel, and it was because I was the guest speaker. I love it, I absolutely love it. I would imagine that part of your day is going and visiting churches and trying to get them on board. Is that correct? That's correct? All right? Now? As somebody who used to work for Tbosa Faith, I did a very similar job. I would go into churches all across this area and try to get them to engage politically. I got kicked out of a lot of churches. I used to joke that I professionally got kicked out of churches. Are you having similar relationships or experiences with these churches or because it's public education and not politics, they're more willing to listen to you. You know, thankfully, I just get ghosted. You know. It reminds me of my high school or middle school years where a lot of boyfriends just will ghost me. But it's churches and it's people. But I liken it to the parable of the sower. You know, only twenty five percent of that seed came back, and I'm seeing a twenty five percent response. Yeah. Is there specific denominations that are more willing to engage with you. I would say the non denominationals are those that have connected with me the most. Okay, all right, well then, hey, churches, if you're listening to this, and let me just say this, and I'd love for you to weigh in on this as well. If you're listening to this interview and you go to a church, contact Monica and set up that interview or that meeting with your pastor. A lot of times, if it comes from somebody within the congregation, that's that door in. I would agree, please reach out to me. I would love to come and share that you have the opportunity to draw kids to be the bridge from the local school to your church. The end goal, Uice, is not a five oh one C three to just exist. My role is to mobilize the church to own your local public school and to bring the gospel back. If legislation says God can't be there, then let's be the church and let's bring them there through what God has allowed through the constitutional loopholes. Yeah, I mean, dealing with bureaucracy, it's always looking for the loopholes, and because of the bureaucratic nature, there's always loopholes. An, Yeah, I mean they pass one law and they get a new edict and they completely violate what they just said. So let's get in there, let's do some things. So let's talk a little bit more about UC and kind of the programs that you're doing here. I imagine you know, probably the best place to start is with the Gospels. Is they kind of where you're hitting with the. First that is our goal. There's a couple things that we do. First, First of all, we disciple are youth to know how to abide in Christ? What does it mean to be a follow of Christ? And then I remind them that the disciples were their age are the disciples were young? Only Peter was the one that had to pay taxes, right, everyone else was probably below. I mean Steven's a great example, right, Yeah, I mean obviously a youth. So I remind them that they can do miracle things if they follow Christ. And then after rebill on their relationship, then we go through the options that they can do. And so I model how to pre pair them to lead a Bible club, and those could be some UIC curriculum that goes over the basic doctrines of who Christ is what salvation is, and what the churches and how to get plugged in basic doctrinal beliefs that every church would agree with. Or we had one group of ninth graders freshmen they love God. Their first month, they're like all lead and they were kind of fumbling around. God bless their willingness and their availability. And so we have another one called Discovery Bible, where you just read any gospel account of Jesus interacting with someone and you ask simple questions, So what does this show us about God? What does it show us about man? What can we share with someone? And what can I apply? So the sky's the limit. I've got another young man who's a preacher in the making that he spends time in the Word of God listening, and he just led his Bible club through a week long fast. It centered on daily prayer, focus and reading of the Book of Daniel daily. Wow, that's absolutely incredible. You know. One of the other things that I absolutely love about this idea is it's really taking away from one of the one of the stones that the secularists like to throw at us that we're hypocrites, all right, that we don't care about the youth. In this case, we don't care about their education. No, we're going right into the lions then, if you will, and addressing it. And we're building up future leaders so that they can actually be at the forefront of this, you know, this Christian walk and showing fellow students, hey, I'm just like you. I'm struggling with the same things you are, but I have found God and it's helping me. That's exactly the vision and mission. It's really like a missionary. How do you raise up a missionary? Sure, you find the locals and you raise them up. Instead of us old folks going into the middle school in high school, we raise up our own youth. That's the call is to disciple our youth and then they go and train. So that is the exact model, and the youth of course or growing as leaders, because we don't send them out into the lions den by themselves. Every single one of our youth is joined by a local youth pastor or myself as a youth leader, and we join them and we mentor them. And you can look at all of our good workforce, all of those great men and women of God. They have the best work integrity out there, and they don't learn it just by doing nothing, but we mentor them along the way. Once again, I'm really enjoying this conversation. As far as calling yourselves old, though, speak for yourself. I'm in my prime. I don't identify with that whatsoever. In my mind, I still feel like I'm twenty or something, and my body reminds me that I'm not. So I go went through. I want to go through these programs, right. So you've got the outreach, you've got the San Diego Teen Center, and your leadership training. So we talked a little bit about some of this, but as far as grabbing these these future leaders, you walk the audience through that a little bit more like what the steps are and really what the process is getting to getting them to that point where they feel comfortable leading a group, because I mean, that's nerve wracking, honestly, if you're not used to public speaking, you get in front of a group of people and all of a sudden, your mouth's dry like your sweating. So please walk us through. That, you bet. So. One church invited me to speak to their youth group of one hundred kids, and I presented ten minutes on that concept of the great Samaritan the and I gave them that choice, and I used doctor Nate Landis as the founder of uyc's book, God Wants His Kids Back. And I mentioned that to them, that God wants the kids back whom the devil has captured. And I said, if you're interested in leading that. Out of that one hundred, twenty kids came. And then what did Christ do with He spoke to the multitude, but then he drew the few, and so I drew those twenty and those twenty. I walked them through their First Amendment right and their Equal Access Act, and one of the kids said, I never knew I had so many rights. And I said, oh, I hope that wasn't intentional by our system. And then I started walking them through what a Bible club would look like. And I model what a lesson would be. I model it for them, and so I encouraged churches and I myself lead a Sunday discipleship group to lead that one hour time before the mass of the system of the larger service, to speak to just those few. And so I model what a study would be. And then we deep, we deep in, we dig deep into the Word of God ourselves and to abide in the vine. And so then we prepare them with the rights, We guide them through what a study would look like, and then we walked through the process. We say, okay, first step, go and ask your ASB for your ASB form and tell them that you'd like to lead a faith based club. One particular school told our students, Oh, I'm sorry, there's a separation between church versus state. District anty one. Yes, shocking. How did I know that? And so she pulled out her for summary of the First Amendment right and said, no, I'm allowed to. He says, oh, no, I'm sorry, And so I put on my principal outfit and I went and talked to the principal and I also shared that background. I said, I understand there's some kids that have been denied their First Amendment right. I'm here to help answer any questions about the Equal Access Act. And by the end of that day we had the SB form and sorry for the confusion, and they got it started the next week. Good for you. I love that. And I already had a question ready, but you kind of already addressed it. But I'd like you to go into it a little bit more. As far as pushback from educators or the political system. Have you experienced more than just that one? Actually no, Wow. I would say that there are those that oppose Christ's name. There always have been. But there is a pocket that don't know. Our educators who are Christians are also like to and they don't know that they have rights and that this is the loophole. There is one particular teacher who found out that there was a pastor who was willing to come and lead a student led faith club. He goes, man, I've been praying for you, and so then he actually did more work than he was probably allowed to. But that's okay. We came in and we made it right. We had we got the student leaders on the book, we got the ESB form, we have the pastor now as the guest, not as the lead. But there are Christians out there that are dying literally, spiritually and physically because of the stress of trying to get churches to come in and use their First Amendment. Right. Yeah, and that's that's a charge to the churches, ladies and gentlemen. We need more churches getting out there. And I always say this on the show, like pick your passion, and I direct this at churches as well. Find your passion, find people who are passionate within the congregation and send them out. Send them out like Christ, send out as disciples, and we can be effective as Christians. Now we're coming up on a heartbreak, but I want to make sure that the audience knows to go to UYC dot org Urban Youth Collaborative. That's YC dot org. Chris is showing it to you right now, and just ten more seconds in pitch it why people should go to it. Go to UYC dot org to see that our schools have the option of being saved through your willingness to partner and bring the gospel to a generation that has been lied to, has not been told the truth. And you are the salt and light of the earth. So please join this vision. Amen. I love it. Now, don't worry. We've got a heartbreak here, but we're going to come right back. Ladies and gentlemen, I want all of you to be a walking billboard. Some of us don't have platforms such as church and state, but you know what, we can wear T shirts and engage in great conversations with Christians and patriots all across the country. Stand up now, Apparel is the best T shirts out there. These are American maid owned by a Christian and a patriot, and the material it's like getting a warm hug from yours truly. One of the better things as well, is there's no tags. I hate tags. I know you do as well. I don't know how many times I've cut off a tag and ended up with a hole in my shirt. You never have to worry about that with Stand Up Now Apparel. These are the best shirts out there with the greatest messages. Let me give you a few examples. But there's a T shirt out there that says armed with Ephesians six on it. I get to tell you, when I wear this in town, I get a lot of comments and a lot of eyebrow raises. There's other shirts that include pure blood in Hebrew, obviously in reference to the vaccines. And also you can get church and State merch there as well. We've got our flagship shirts. I was worn for a storm with Church and State right on it. You got to order the shirt. Go to Stand Up Now Apparel for T shirts and hats. All of this great merch with great Christian and patriotic messages. Remember to use that promo code Church and State, and we're back and thank you for staying with us. You're over at Church and State dot Media and we're going to go right back to our guests. But real quick, I want to talk about one of our great affiliates, and Chris, I know you hate it, but I love it. So we're going to talk about methylene blue. Chris just doesn't like blue tongues, is what it is. But hey, I use this stuff daily and I have noticed a significant difference in myself mental fog, better sleep. It addresses all of that, and so I know it might sound a little bit weird to try an industrial die, but a lot of the people within the MAHA movement swear by this stuff. I use Best three sixty five labs. Go check them out, get a thirty day trial. That's all I'm asking. See what it does for you, and use that promo code Church and State. You'll get a discount and you'll help support what we're doing here. Also, once again, hit the donate button for us, keep us on the air, keep us alive, keep us growing and having great conversations like the one we're doing right now. So there it is. Hit the donate button. All right with that, Let's go ahead and go back to Monica with the Urban Youth Collaborative. And I love what you're saying there about being the salt and the light. And we hear this a lot. We hear this a lot from the pulpit. But then when the opportunity arises to go and do it, I don't know, you drag your feet a little bit. And it's really disappointing to me. And I don't want to use this time to attack the church. I want to use it to motivate the church. And sometimes motivating the church can look like, hey, what are you guys doing? Like are you actually involved? Are you actually engaged in this? And I believe every church within Spokane, within I mean, I have a national audience, so and I'm going to talk to you about some of the national things here in a second. But if you don't have one of these, get a hold of Monica. Let's start them up all over the country. I would agree. How is it that our churches aren't aware that we have this constitutional right to get into our local public schools. It reminds me of when the Prayer Meeting and Acts was occurring. For Peter who was imprisoned and then he was actually let free knocking on the door, and no one believed it. And that's what I feel is the time is now. The doors and public schools are open. Yeah, keep praying, but get out there and open the door. There is the opportunity. My prayer and my vision and my goal for my region, and I would pray and encourage that you would find the same that every single school in the United States of America has a Bible believing Christ centered church that is engaged not just with handouts. We've got enough food, we don't food God, Yes, thank you Lord for food, but they need the gospel that'll save and change their lives and save this nation. There are kids dying regularly and without the Gospel. Yeah, it's sort of the you know, living water, but also living food. That's what the Word of God is, and so these kids are starving for it. A lot of times they don't even know that they have this hunger or this need for it. But when they are presented with this truth whom their eyes are opened, and it's a beautiful thing. Talking about you know that more statewide initiative level, you know, really across the country. I'm so pleased to see that. My favorite state, South Carolina. I would move there in a heartbeat if I could. I just adore that state. They're on board with you. You're doing stuff out there. Yeah. South Carolina has gone through and adopted one of our initiatives called Project twenty five. Project twenty five is based off of Matthew twenty five. It's an amazing ministry that we do with our Bible clubs. I haven't launched it yet because this is my first year. Nine clubs is phenomenal, eleven on the way, and I'm still I need more labors, to be honest, it's just me leading this within Spokane. And so what they have run with is this concept of we give every Bible club one hundred bucks like the Lord gave every one of their servants, and then it was what would they do to multiply that? And so those clubs we allow them to pray and dream, what's the need in our community that you want to speak to, that you want to minister to, and then they go try to duplicate that hundred bucks through different means, through selling, buying and then reselling things or doing an auctioning dinner. The sky's the limit. We want them to be thinkers and solve problems, and then they get to duplicate their money and donate or give that money to the need in their local community to be those changers. You know, this is this what you just said is probably the most exciting thing that I've heard in this entire interview. I absolutely adore this for a number of reasons. Number One, you don't have this as a centralized system, right, You've decentralized it, which obviously is a libertarian I'm all for. But when you look at maybe a school district in la in California versus a school district in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, they're not dealing with the same problems. You are allowing the students and this club to say, this is the need in our community, We're going to go address it. Then you also, on top of that, you give them talents. And you've given them the talents, and you're saying, hey, are you going to be a good servant, You're going to actually use this to increase for the lord, or you're going to bury it. And you're giving them the opportunity, a capitalist, free market opportunity to go in there and actually make more money for the Kingdom of God. That's exactly right. I didn't make that capitalist and free market connection, but it's true, and I will add that connection. And the research is very clear in public education and any pedagogy and all research, it shows that project based learning is the most effective. Schools that do project based learning thrive. How many schools do it, very few? And so this is the Lord is the best pedagogy. He says, to disciple them, send them, that's how we learn. And so this model too, is that same concept of a project based learning getting them into the world. Something that was told to me that I agree is there is no many holy spirit. When a youth or a teenager accepts Jesus Christ is their Lord and savior and chooses to follow him, we can learn from them because they have the same holy spirit that is in us. Absolutely no, I would agree with that. And it's you know, so many of these kids, you know, and especially with when you look at the education that's being taught in public schools, they're not really ready for the world, a lot of them. I mean, you can look at the data points. A lot of these kids they're immediately going into college, they're getting saddled with massive amounts of debt, and then they go off into the world and they think that they're just going to walk in as vice prisoner or something. Not the way the world works. But with you and what you're doing here giving them just a little bit of seed money, right, and now they're responsible for growing bait. If I was if I was an entrepreneur and I was looking to hire somebody and they had that on their resume hired. That's exactly right. And we can reflect on us as a church. Are we giving our students any of this or are we just creating these mission trips that are overseas. Do you know how easy it is to bring the gospel into other school districts in any other country, they welcome missionaries here. If you were to put us on compare our public schools to the Voice of the Martyrs hostile environment, it would be lifted. It would be listed as one of those hostile environments. So by us training our kids accurately to go and make disciples, go and do this free market Project twenty five, make a difference in their community instead of pushing it off. Those are what pedagogy our schools. No project based learning is the best approach. Few are doing it, and neither is the Church. U y see, we are, so let's partner. You know, you and I are getting along famously. It's awesome. As a libertarian, I mean, I am always like against the next foreign war. I want America to turn its interests inward. We've got so many problems within these United States, and we spend so much of our tax money on propping up foreign countries, turning that towards what you just said with the missionaries. Look, I'm not against sending missionaries to other countries, but look at the United States, ladies and gentlemen, especially within the church. Do you have to go halfway around the world to tell somebody about Jesus. No, across the street. There's people that need there. And actually our public schools systems are more diverse than any other country that you will go. So if you want to reach kids from Nigeria, go to a local public school, they're there. If you want to reach kids from Cambodia, go to a local public school, raise them up to be a disciple maker, and then they would have greater impact to go back to their homeland and be the missionary. You know, this episode's giving me a lot of hope because obviously, with what I do, I'm covering a wide variety of topics and looking at a lot of the evils of the world. But seeing something like this and having a conversation is really refreshing for the soul and the spirit because I see you and what you're doing, and you're a one man team, Like you've started nine different clubs eleven soon, all by yourself, just here in Spokane. Like that's awesome. Ladies and gentlemen, be like, my guest. Thank you very much. And you know, I wanted to be a missionary. Right when the Lord saved me, I was like, God, I want to go make a difference, and he just kept closing the doors and I realized our land this My family immigrated from Romania in nineteen seventy five through lying to the government because it was a communist country, and we were accepted. My dad did get a student visa, and I remember being at the courts when my mom received her citizenship. They went through those steps, and you know, it's a life that I'm forever grateful for. We grew up very poor. It was through financial aid that I even got to go to college. Yes, twenty five years later, I'm still paying off my student loans. But guess what. Without those student loans, I wouldn't have been able to go to college and do what I'm doing now. And so I am grateful for this country. I love this country, and I would be I'm honored to be able to pour out my life and serve God by blessing back a country that brought my family in. I agree, and I I love that mentality. And you know, I've worked in politics for so many years now, and I've said this so many times on the show, but people who immigrated, especially from former communist countries, are some of the best patriots I've ever come across. And in your story here Romania, you know a lot of Americans they forget history. They don't examine world history. Romania was an awful communist country. Like the persecution that was occurring there is insane. Wasn't Richard Warmbrand from Romania? I mean yes, so you watch that movie. He was tortured in the most horrible ways. That was what your family escaped. Tortured for Christ. That's his book and he's the founder of Voice of the Martyrs. And the Lutheran. Two yes, yes, that when I got to go back to Romania and I read that his wife's book, the Pastor's wife, what they experienced to be Christians? I didn't realize from that movie he was actually they were Jewish before then they converted, and what they went through for the name of Christ. Are we prepared to do that? Are our kids ready to speak the name of Christ? And guess what? I would say that they are our gen alpha, those that we can present the true gospel that Jesus says, follow me, take up your cross daily. They are responding to the call. But I find the laborers are few. The harvest is so plentiful. I'm at Bible clubs regularly. Yesterday I was at a Bible club with one hundred kids. It was only me. Do you know how many kids I could have gone and done individual discipleship, even guide them into the gospel, prayer, committing their lives, inviting them to the local church. I would say more than a third of them don't have a local church. But the labors are few. Wow, I mean, I'm just kind of awestruck with what you've been able to accomplish. And you know, when I know what I see for you when you get to heaven is going to be well done, good and faithful servant. And there's going to be kids that you will meet that you don't even know that their relationship with Christ is because of your actions, and that's something that all of us should endeavor for that. There will be people that we don't even know that because of our work, because of our actions, they have found a relationship with Christ. And so hats off to you for everything that you're doing. You know, all I can say is I'm just a ungreat. I mean, I'm just unworthy servant doing my duty. My life would have been dead without Christ. And to be honest, that's every one of us if we would just realize it, we are nothing without Christ. Everything we have that's good is because of Him. And are we holding it tightly in our fist or are we receiving it with an open hand for it to be poured out. It's great to just reflect and say, my local church, how am I investing in the youth around us? Because they are the next generation a local organization. Oh I'm so bad with names, but they are our Washington State Pro Life Movement HLW. Please forgive me Esther and Gerald for forgetting the name. But they invited our Bible Club leaders for free to the Washington GOP and they got to and we had fifteen of our youth, five different Bible Club leaders there and the investment is going to help them understand the reality of the truth of our nation that if you are My son pointed out he separated the lambs to the right and the goats to the left, and so we can help our kids learn to be knowledgeable voters and that does go towards the conservative view. We had Coach Joe Kennedy as the guest speaker there. I know Coach Joey's a great guy. And they invited us up, all of us Bible Club leaders and we got to take a knee with Joe Kennedy and they prayed for us all Washington GOP. And then Jenna Lewis spoke next, and two of our kids from Shade Park High Schools like, I need to go talk to her because right now we have Chaz clinics in our high schools that offer the day after pill abortion pill offers a birth control with no parental request, nothing, And they went and asked is it legal for that to happen. So our kids at aren't even ready to vote yet are asking these hard questions why because I'm investing in them. The local Pro Life helping in Washington State, they invested in us and gave us a free filet mignon dinner and the kids said it was the best stake they've ever had. And now those kids they've tasted, they've seen that the Republican Party is about faith, family freedom. They got to see through the lies of what the media is saying, and they got to see that. They were prayed over, they were blessed. Yeah. Yeah, and I was at the end of as well. I didn't meet you there, but a great event, and especially you know within Spokane County that GOP. They are about faith, family freedom, you know. And Rob Liinberger the chair there, he's a friend of the show's. I love the direction that he's taken the GOOP. And that's what you can do when you get Christians involved, and if you want to masure that future generations have Christian leaders in all of these things, whether it's education or politics, this is your opportunity right here by getting involved with the Urban Youth Collaborative. Now we're winding down here, but just in closing, I'm going to bring everybody right back to the website YC dot org and Monica.
