Welcome to the fire today on Church and State the Why, Hello Christian patriots, and welcome to Church and State, where we drive morality and religion over tolerance and apathy. And I'm your host, Caleb Callier, once again your favorite for a right shock jock and the show that talks about politics and religion. Jesus Christ is our referee, so it's always nice and clean. And that's not an attack on the Christian networks at all, Okay, because I love the fact that there are so many sound biblical teachers that have programs. I need that myself. Perhaps sit on the couch I'm going to be laying on it, talk to you about the why, because I think this is important. I think as people start to get engaged, when there is an investment into a worthy cause, you have to come to the question of why, why am I going to do this? Why am I doing this? And so for me, I'd like to take you on a journey of my why and then hopefully motivate you to your why. And so I suppose wishes start at the beginning, Once upon a time, Chris, as it were. Don't worry, it's not going to be boring. I'm not going to put him to sleep. But growing up as a kid, my dad was a nomad. He moved around a lot all over the place, as basically, we never were anywhere longer than four years, and many of those moves were two years or a year in and so it was constantly the new kid at the schools that I was going to. And I'll tell you, when you're the new kid, it's a little bit rough, And I also share this with you. Growing up, I was a twig when I joined the United States Marine Corps at the age of eighteen, I weighed one hundred and nineteen pounds at five eleven. As a thin person right there, when you're the skinny kid, get bullied, and it certainly happened. It developed my sense of humor, but it also made me hate tyrants. Hated bullies. Hate tyrants. In my own family, my upbringing, I'm not gonna name names, but there was some tyranny, and it instilled in me this great hate for anyone who would use their power, whether it be that they're bigger, or whether it be that they have an institution behind them. I started to dislike it, and I started wanting to fight it. Being the new kid also meant that for me, where can you find acceptance right away being the new kid. It's the bad kids. Hey, it's the bad kids that will always accept you. So unfortunately for me, as I started into my junior high and teenage years. In high school, I was a bad kid. I was a bad kid. I did a lot of bad things, a lot of stupid things. The one saving grace was the fact that I had no interest in school. It meant that I didn't really get indoctrinated, which isn't that positive as a whole. But I finally came to a conclusion. I realized one of my friends went to jail for a long time. None of one of my friends. Oh deed, he survived it, but he oweded. And in a moment of clarity, I realized, this isn't the life I want. I got to do something with it. So I promptly signed up for the Marine Corps. Now why not? Like what a shift? And in the United States Marine Corps, I'll tell you a little part of the boot camp process is to break you down entirely and to build you back up into something that they can use. And a lot of people when they find out I was in the Marine Corps, they're a little bit surprised because I don't act like your typical marine. Well, for about six months post boot camp, I will say I was a little bit brainwashed, and then I went right back to being me, the inquisitive kid who sees humor and everything. And the Marine Corps didn't really know what to do with me on that an officer, high ranking individual isn't used to somebody lower ranking coming in and saying, what is that you hear? A beeping paint? No attention? You're messing me up, Chris. But they're not used to an individual coming in and just saying, hey, sir, where'd you go to school? We'll talk to you like a human being. Look, I loved my time in the Marine Corps, but I knew I wasn't going to stay longer than four years, and then nine to eleven happened. Many of us in this truth movement can point to a specific event, an event did they call their wake up moment? For me, it was nine to eleven. I'll never forget it for the rest of my life. Sitting there in the shop, I was in calms and we were doing some PMS preventive maintenance on our gear. Somebody came rushing in to proclaim that a plane had just smashed into one of the towers. So we rolled the television set in and we started watching, and we watched this second plane hit the tower. We watched as those towers fell, the Pentagon get hit, and a plane get brought down on a Pennsylvania field. My life had changed at that moment, as had all of yours. Right there, the base went on lockdown, and we knew we were getting prepped for war, and many of us would watch over and over and over again, but we just couldn't believe. It was like something we'd never even dreamt could be possible. As I started watching the footage, I'd noticed some inconsistencies. Tower seven, the hole in the Pentagon, the Saudi Arabian passport found remarkably just not destroyed in a plane crash and explosion. Asking questions about if they were all Saudi Arabian, why are we going to in Iraq? Started asking those questions, and he sent me down a path, a path that I'm so happy that I walked in Robert Frost. I took the path less taken, and it has meant the world of difference. And suddenly I started to see truth. I started pursuing individuals, listening to individuals who were asking the same types of questions that I had, but had a platform. I started to see conspiracy and so many of the events that were occurring throughout the world. I started diving into true history, and I realized I wanted to take action going back to my youth. I realized the dead skinny kid wanted to continue to fight bullies, so I stepped out. I started attending events, rallies, small ones, just looking for purpose, looking for a way that I could contribute to bettering the world. Started going posing genetically modified food, opposing vaccines. Then I got involved in politics as an idealist. I gotta tell you all my time on the city council, I loved it, I absolutely loved it. I would take the agenda for the week. Every single Sunday night, I would pore over it and I would write down questions. And every Tuesday night when we had our city council meeting, I would be there. I would be ready, excited to be there, and I would ask those questions. I would listen to the people that I was representing. They emailed me. I responded back, and I engaged in conversations with them because as a true idealist, I believed in the mission. And when I got knocked out of my seat, was devastated, devastated, something as small as a city council position for one hundred thousand people devastated. But I didn't stop. No, I doubled down, and I did more. I started working for political organizations. I started engaging in talk radio because I truly believed I wanted to make a difference and we need more of that. We need more people to want to make a difference in this world who are not satisfied but just being entertained, who are not satisfied at looking at the world and just throwing up their hands. Yeah it's not great, But what am I going to do about it? If we had more people were just willing to step out. See, maybe I can't do a lot, but I'm gonna do something. What a difference that could make for society, for the world that we live in. I had people who stop living in fear, we could actually change this world. Look, I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you. It's ugly. It's ugly when you become the nail that's sticking out because that hammer it's coming at you. And I've been hammered so many times in my life, been beat up, had high level individuals come after me, try to throw me in jail. I'll tell that story sometime sometime. I don't know when, but I'll tell that story. Had individuals befriend me, pat me on the back, all the while having nefarious agendas. I've lived it. I've worked for some of the bigger political organizations in this country, and I've seen behind the curtain, the good, the bad. But I never stopped. I never stopped. I won't ever stop. I'm incapable of it. It will not matter what they do, what they say, won't matter how the attacks come. I can't stop. I won't because there's something in me, some reason God created me this way that I just have to continue. I just have to push. I look at the world, I look at the evils and the injustice, and I say, I gotta do something. I gotta take action. I look at the attacks on Christianity, and this is f first and foremost in my brain. I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that Christianity is truth. It does not matter what the secularists say. It doesn't matter what the scientists say, it doesn't matter what the other world religions say. I know Christianity is the truth. And if Christianity is the truth, then the truth is worth fighting for. The truth of the message of Jesus Christ is something that needs to be proclaimed every single location, every platform. Something as small is within your own family dinner table. That truth has to be discussed and we have to raise up our children, something that also I take into account. I have to raise up my children to where they're going to pursue truth. The relationship with Christ is solid. They're on that firm foundation. Just telling the story to a friend of mine, christ you all liked us, My daughter, my little nine year old. Obviously we're in a private Christian school. People who watch the show, they know that. One of her friends turned to her and says to her, she asked her a question about the moon landing. And my daughter's response was, we never landed on the moon. And this other girl got all wide eyed and she turns to this boy next to her and she goes, Autumn doesn't believe we landed on the moon. And a little boy turn Stewarr and says, well, we didn't. That's how I know my kids are going to a grade school. You think that would happen in public school? Absolutely not. You think they'd even care at nine years old if we landed on the moon. But that's the kind of stuff that you need to have conversations with your children, with people around you. Just start. Questioning what the official narrative is, what the story that they sold you was. It's the people who are like that. And you don't even have to be some giant conspiracy theorists like I am, or even like Chris who believes in the flat earth and I'm just flat earth curious. We still have great discussions about it, and we should. You shouldn't be afraid of any question the Bible tells us to question. You think God is afraid of you examining Christianity? Oh no, what if they asked the question that I can't answer? He created it at all. You don't think he can answer every single question. Questioning Christianity is a positive, not a negative. And any pastor who tells you not to question things is not a pastor that I would be under ask those questions. There's something in the Bible that you don't understand. Start researching, ask somebody in more authority, and don't just accept the status quo, the mainstream narrative. When you put yourself in a position where you're constantly questioning, you're going to be that individual that discovers you think individuals like Christopher Columbus, who is told that the world is flat. If you sail across the ocean, you're gonna fall off of it. Do you think if he would have been an individual that was just well, that's the scientific narrative. I better not go exploring. Then what would have happened? We've discovered new worlds? You think individuals like the Wright brothers who the establishment said will never fly. What if they had said, yeah, man's not meant to fly, we don't have wings, where would we be. It's the people who just question and pursued, invented. We're creative. We're taking after the maker, the push society, the world as a whole, and in new frontiers and the new inventions are reaching for the stars. One of the things that I can say with absolutely no arrogance whatsoever, is I've lived an interesting life, and on my deathbed I will be able to say I tried, I tried to fail, that succeeded, but man, what a riot it was. I can't wait to get to heaven. You have the ability to determine the trajectory of your life if you just simply step out of where your comfort level is. I've said this so many times. To find your passion, ladies and chentlemen, search for what you're passionate about. God gave you that passion. Now roll with it, do something with it. Do you think all these fears that have been established for you to keep you down, to keep you from rocking the boat that is of the Lord? You have responsibilities, so do I? I have responsibilities to my family, my children, my wife. Does this stop me from reaching for the stars or doing something different? It does not, And every one of you has that capability. Many of us working jobs loathe, we hate, we can't stand we're doing it. We went to college where they trained us up in a specific field set, and we got a job in the corporate world. And we are those drones, just trudging through life hoping for some excitement. And where do we get said excitement from entertainment? From the movies? What do you think, every single guy out there, we love our war movies, We love our actions suspense thrillers because we insert ourselves into the plot line. That's if I were there, I'd do it this way instead of going out and living, instead of actually going out and making contributions that are going to better society and taking risks. Is it all peaches and cream? Is it all fun? No, there's some deep pain in it. But if you don't know deep pain, you don't know deep joy. I'll tell you something about human psychology. We tend to forget about the pain. Time heals all wounds. We tend to move past that, and we tend to focus on what has been good, what has been great. And I look back at my life, I don't focus on the immense amount of pain that I've suffered because of the actions that I've taken, whether self imposed or because other people were attacking me. I focus on the good, and that's where we need to be. If you have that extreme faith in Jesus Christ and you know that you're on a mission that you are going to do something in this world, then you're not going to live in that spirit of fear, and you're going to accomplish great things. I want to return to that passion what I was talking about there. That passion is so important. Get a note, peed write three things down, do a little experiment for me, write three things down that you're passionate about, doesn't matter what it is. You're passionate about helping kids. You're passionate about growing food. You're passionate about the Second Amendment, getting more proficient with firearms. You're passionate about medical autonomy that you're going to be able to have the ability to determine what meant you take, what vaccines you take. These are all areas that need passionate people working in them. And the people that you look up to the individuals that have been platformed on all of those issues. They've been attacked, they get hit, and they rise up because nothing's going to stop that mission that God has put them on. You too could be in those shoes. You're gonna get a following, You're gonna get people that want to be around you. You're gonna make friends that are the right type of friends, that are not shallow, not vapid. There's no joy in going to the water cooler and talking about Kim Kardashian. It's empty. You get no joy anymore and mindlessly scrolling the internet and just binge watching shows that passion is gonna dictate your life in very positive ways and suddenly you're going to start seeing an impact, an impact in your community. Not all of you are going to do things at the national level. With that local community, they're gonna see, you know, Sue Jones, she started this community garden right in the middle of this empty field, in the middle of the town. She promised that the vegetables that she was growing were going to be organic, and she was not going to spray round up on them. But it was open. Anybody who wanted to go and tend to the garden could do so. Anybody who wanted fresh tomatoes or zucchini to go in pick it themselves. All right, let's go back, Chris, and let's just put some bookends on what I'm talking about here, on being passionate, finding a drive, and going out there and changing the world. When we examine the world today, do we not see a need for change? When we examine the Holy scriptures, do we not see that we are supposed to be those agents of change. You read throughout the Bible so many tales of individuals who were told to not rock the boat, to just participate in the status quo, and because they had strong convictions and were passionate, passionate, they chose to go a different route. People like the Hebrew birth wives. Government told them to kill babies and they said no. A shepherd boy named David, who by all rights, there should be no historical record of He just should have lived and died and nobody would really remember him. But instead he chose to listen to God and take action, and he became king. He slew giants. Those are just two examples individuals who heard the call of Jesus Christ threw down everything. Stop being a fisherman. I'm going to make you a fisher of men. These are the types of individuals who heard the call, got the passion, and how the world remembers their names. We write about him, we see songs about them. Now, I'm not claiming that every single one of you who listens to the words that I'm saying and decides to take action in some capacity, that everyone will remember your name, that you go down in history. But I will say this, God keeps a history, He has a record book, and the lives that you can touch will absolutely astound you. I know that there are people how I have come to a knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus Christ by listening to that show or this show you want to talk about being humbled that God could use that somebody as awful as I am to bring somebody into God's kingdom. As still, I'm still awestrung to this day that that kind of thing is occurring. I don't know how, I don't know why, but I'm gonna keep doing it. I'm gonna keep following that because that's what God has directed me to do. Ladies and gentlemen, It's basically this. You can live your life in relative comfort, in ease, but it's like the movie Braveheart, one of those movies that guys just love. He's a famous speech where he's trying to encourage his men to take action because they're looking at the size of the British Army. I know they're gonna they're not gonna win this, so they'll be cowards when they'll live. And William Wallace he encourages them and he explains to them that later on in life, on their deathbed, that they would give it all up for just one moment to come back here and to tell the British you may take our lives, but you'll never take our freedom. It's powerful. It's a kind of statement that just makes you want to feel bold and to stand up against impossible odds. Well identifying those impossible odds for you. The Bible tells us that Satan is the god of this world, that he has power for the time being in this falling, evil, sinful world. That's your enemy. And there are people that he uses, people that are generals and even all the way down to privates in his Satanic army. That's your enemy. And if those are the type of people then are encouraging you to just sit on your hands. Then not take action to not rock the boat, then you have fallen for their psychological warfare. Now, if you're the type of person who says that ain't for me, it's not my style, I'm gonna fight it. I'm gonna fight the system however I can. If you're aligned with what God has put on your heart to do, and you are opposed to the Satanic army that runs this world, then ladies and gentlemen, you are doing God's work.
