[00:00:00] Music
[00:00:18] To oppose tyranny and fight for the rights, our creator bestowed us in the United States Constitution.
[00:00:24] We are the Prepper Broadcasting Network
[00:00:54] Hey, I don't know why this popped in my head this morning, but I thought I'd share.
[00:01:01] So here's where the NBC guy is.
[00:01:07] Three weapons you absolutely need.
[00:01:15] These are the top three weapons.
[00:01:20] If you're just starting out and you're looking at guns, self-protection, these are the weapons you should look at.
[00:01:30] Never underestimate a .22.
[00:01:34] If it's a pistol or a rifle, a .22 needs to be in your arsenal.
[00:01:43] You can forage through 100 houses and you will find .22 ammunition.
[00:01:54] It's cheap, it's easy, it's inexpensive to fire, it's inexpensive to practice with, it's effective.
[00:02:10] It is actually the most accurate round there is.
[00:02:16] So a .22, you need to have that in your arsenal somewhere somehow.
[00:02:23] And next, a shotgun.
[00:02:27] And I recommend a .12 gauge because that's what the military uses and if you want the most common round, .12 gauge is it.
[00:02:38] A shotgun is super versatile, easy for anyone to fire and be effective within 100 feet.
[00:02:49] And when you consider your house is only 40 feet long, super great for self-defense, personal defense.
[00:02:59] And like I said, versatile.
[00:03:01] You can get slugs that you can actually hunt with.
[00:03:05] You know, you can hunt with a .22, small game for sure.
[00:03:10] But if you're really, really good, you can even hunt a deer with a .22.
[00:03:18] So those are the first two.
[00:03:21] And then some kind of an AR and it doesn't matter if it's .223 or .7.62.
[00:03:31] Okay, that is personal preference on caliber of round.
[00:03:35] But an AR platform because of the plentifulness of parts.
[00:03:43] It's what the military uses.
[00:03:46] Interchangeable, highly accurate.
[00:03:51] It has been the military standard for as long as I've been in the military.
[00:03:58] So that goes back to the 70s.
[00:04:02] And we still had other weapons in the armory.
[00:04:10] But that was the M16 and the M16A2 is what we had in 1975.
[00:04:18] So that's how far back it goes.
[00:04:21] There's been modifications, but for the most part,
[00:04:26] it is the second largest assault weapon produced in the world.
[00:04:32] Second only to the AK.
[00:04:35] So take that for what it's worth.
[00:04:39] And those are the three weapons I highly recommend.
[00:04:46] Everybody have one.
[00:04:47] Now if you want to go into small arms,
[00:04:52] you want 9mm because it's the most plentiful round on the planet.
[00:04:57] There's more 9mm than any other cartridge on the planet.
[00:05:01] So if you want a side arm,
[00:05:04] a 9mm would be your best bet there.
[00:05:07] I don't know why I'm thinking this,
[00:05:10] but I just thought I'd share this little bit of thought process with you.
[00:05:18] In my history class, we're talking about the World War II.
[00:05:24] And if we could actually win World War II today,
[00:05:28] and most of the classes I have surveyed say no.
[00:05:33] And they say no for different reasons.
[00:05:36] But I do have to agree.
[00:05:39] We don't have the industrial capacity that we had
[00:05:45] at the end of the Great Depression.
[00:05:48] We don't have that generation of people that grew up during the Great Depression.
[00:05:56] There's just any number of reasons why I think we could not win World War II today.
[00:06:03] You know, when you consider that less than half a percent,
[00:06:09] less than a percent of our population is in the military today.
[00:06:15] Wow.
[00:06:17] Wow.
[00:06:19] When in World War II it was 10% of the population.
[00:06:23] We fielded 100 divisions,
[00:06:27] and I don't think we could do that today.
[00:06:33] So that's what I'm thinking about.
[00:06:36] That's where I'm at.
[00:06:38] I don't know what the world situation is.
[00:06:40] I haven't been paying too much attention to any of the news.
[00:06:44] So I can't give you a rant.
[00:06:48] I can just tell you what I woke up with thinking about today.
[00:06:54] And that's what I was thinking about,
[00:06:57] and the reasons why I was thinking about it.
[00:06:59] So I'm getting out there to build some more quail pens.
[00:07:05] We have chickens and turkey in the other quail pens,
[00:07:08] and our quail just hatched out in the past couple days.
[00:07:14] So I'm going to make this box that I had.
[00:07:18] I had tools in it,
[00:07:20] and I'm going to make it a quail box.
[00:07:22] I got to cut some ventilation in, put some shelves in,
[00:07:25] and still haven't quite figured out how I'm going to do it.
[00:07:31] I do have wire, and I do have wood.
[00:07:35] And I do have screws.
[00:07:38] Never overlook having screws and nails and things like that.
[00:07:44] If you're talking about infrastructure,
[00:07:47] prepper infrastructure,
[00:07:50] you need fastening means,
[00:07:52] and I have tubs of nails, different lengths.
[00:07:57] When they go on clearance at Home Depot,
[00:08:00] even if it's just a dollar or two off,
[00:08:02] I will buy like a three-pound box of them.
[00:08:07] You got to have those on hand.
[00:08:09] How important were they with the pioneers?
[00:08:14] There was a law passed in Virginia
[00:08:17] not to burn your house down.
[00:08:20] And you say,
[00:08:23] why would you burn your own house down?
[00:08:26] Well, they would burn their house down
[00:08:29] to get the nails and metal fixtures
[00:08:33] out of the rubble of the ashes of their house
[00:08:37] before they moved further west.
[00:08:41] So that's how important it was back in the day.
[00:08:46] And I would be hard-pressed to make myself...
[00:08:49] I could make a nail,
[00:08:51] but man, I'd have a hard time making a screw.
[00:08:54] Although I do have a few tap-and-die sets.
[00:08:59] So I think if I made a nail,
[00:09:02] I could probably make a screw, probably.
[00:09:06] Have never tried that.
[00:09:08] There you go, Intrepid Commander.
[00:09:11] Challenge to you.
[00:09:13] And you're forging...
[00:09:15] forging next time you pound an iron.
[00:09:17] Make yourself a screw.
[00:09:21] I threw that challenge out to the Intrepid Commander.
[00:09:25] I want to see a video on how you make a screw.
[00:09:29] Okay, PBN Family, that's it.
[00:09:33] Take care and prep on!
