[00:00:12] to oppose tyranny and fight for the rights of the United States Constitution. We are the Prepper Broadcasting Network.
[00:00:51] And did you hear Steven Minkin, the PBN Chaplain? Did you hear his Good Friday message? Gosh, every great organization needs a wonderful chaplain and we got the best. We have the best here at PBN. Well, I'll tell you, I'm just feeling very positive, very up, very hopeful right now.
[00:01:17] You know, it's a good feeling. It's a good feeling. Yeah. So I wanted to talk to you, the reason I came on. Well, I want to talk about rations and ruin. Of course, you know, on Monday, the whole Hee Haw gang is getting together and we're dividing up our rations and talking about what's going on.
[00:01:45] I am not stressed about this exercise at all. At all. We fast around here regularly. Maria just completed a week long nothing but water fast. We, you know, it's what we do. Even even we fast for religious reasons. But even besides that, we just fast.
[00:02:14] So I don't think it's going to be that big a deal. And boy, if you can eat eggs, I get about 20 eggs every day from the chickens we have. We just hatched another batch as a science experiment. And we're going to be doing some butchering this week. So I may save one of the rabbits until, you know, we get into the exercise and then butcher it then. Because, you know, we would.
[00:02:43] We would. You know, it all has to do with, you know, you're experienced level. Well, let me ask you this. the first time you crack open those freeze-dried meals and eat them and, you know, ration your food. Do you want the first time you experience that
[00:03:11] to be the first time there's a disaster? No, you don't want too many firsts. You want to have something to go back on in your memory bank to say, oh yeah, this is like that, so this is what should happen. You don't want too many firsts. I always give the example of I was helping to train some scuba divers,
[00:03:41] brand new scuba divers, and we went to the Gulf of America now and we swam off the shore of Florida, the Panhandle of Florida, around Destin. Anyways, these guys had never been in the open ocean, never swam scuba dived in the open ocean.
[00:04:08] They had never scuba dived off of a boat, okay? had never scuba dived at night. Yeah. Too many firsts. Had never scuba dived, I think, to that depth. Because it was over 40 feet. I think 40 feet was their max at that time. So, you see where I'm going.
[00:04:40] One lady came up from that and she says, I'm not going back out. She had paid for the whole weekend, every trip, and she didn't. She did not go back out. It was too many firsts. People's stress level. One guy threw up in his regulator. He didn't want to take it out of his mouth long enough to throw up and then put it back in. What a mess. What a mess.
[00:05:06] So, you don't want too many firsts. And your stress level, you know. So, maybe my coping mechanisms are more than the average person. I have been shot at. I have had a gun pointed at me, okay? So, I know my stress level for those things were maximum.
[00:05:37] So, maybe I just have coping mechanisms. I was in a combat zone for 22 continuous months where every time you went out to your vehicle, you had to check for bombs and stuff was blowing up. You had to, you know, constantly be aware of your surroundings and what was going on. So, you know, two years, 22 continuous months
[00:06:05] of that kind of situation. So, maybe that. But anytime you can stress yourself where you can control, you know, if this exercise is bad, we can turn it off. We can just say, okay, I'm done. But in an SHTF situation, you can't say, okay, I'm done. So, you should experience it
[00:06:35] for that alone. Yeah, not too many firsts. So, you don't want all those firsts to be happening at the same time SHTF is happening. It's because that's the first time you experience that. And undefined expectations. Yeah. Undefined expectations. This, the Army went through this
[00:07:04] for a period of time. We would actually define success. The commander's intent would define success because in the five paragraph op order, we didn't know, you didn't know what success was. So, they added that. Commander's intent or defined success. So, you had to know when that was enough. You know, too many times
[00:07:33] people will get to where I have an expectation in my head and when it doesn't look like what I have in my head, then there's disappointment, resentment, all that kind of stuff. So, you want to define your expectations to know what success looks like. Yeah, it happens all the time when we go on vacation. Maria will leave me to make the arrangements
[00:08:02] and then when it doesn't meet her expectations, she tells me about it. Instead of telling me about I want this, this, this, and this, you know, it's like, do something and I'll tell you if you did it wrong. No. Tell them, show them, demonstrate it. You know, that's the way you got to do things. This is what I expect, X, Y, and Z.
[00:08:32] And, that leads to success. Yes. So, that's pretty much it. Ration and Ruin, we're getting together on Monday. You'll probably hear something from the intrepid commander and myself about the video, the January 6th video, and you may get a little bit of, you know, back channel stuff with us setting up Ration and Ruin because the gang's
[00:09:02] coming here. We're going to divvy up our loot, so to speak. And then, we kick it off the month of May. Too easy. But, you know, we will gain some knowledge. We will add to our stress level, our experience. You know, if I eat this stuff, this is how long this will last me. Or, you know, this is what my digestive track
[00:09:32] does on freeze-dried food. And the only stress we're going to have is, well, I'll be teaching school and everybody else will be doing their normal job. So, that's the stressor. Okay, PBN family. Oh, hey, I got to tell you, $30 off your ticket for prepper camp right now until the end of the month. So,
[00:10:01] you got to jump on it. If you are not going to prepper camp, I just have to say, why? Listen, last year was the year it rained hurricanes. Okay? So, so this year is going to be great. So, come on out. Prepper camp. Don't miss it. And, get your discount tickets now and it will sell out. Do not wait. Take care and prep on.そう
