[00:00:15] A person who advocates and practices prepare with this, while ready for any event that would disrupt their daily routine. That is a prepper. Hello everyone out there in internet radio land, this is Dave Jones the NBC guy. How are you doing on this fine Thursday? Thursday, oh my gosh, so much is going on. So much, I don't know where to start.

[00:00:44] Even the Patriot Power Hour guys, did you get their show? I told you they wouldn't be able to hold it to an hour. It was packed, it was packed. There was just so much. You have to listen to that show. Hey, and the intrepid commander chimed in. I could almost, I think at one point I could hear the ocean in the background. I think.

[00:01:12] So I got the toilet in, but I could not get it hooked up. You know, things that, things that make you go, Dang, I gotta run to Home Depot. I was missing one part. So then I went on to other stuff, missing another thing. So I made a massive trip to Home Depot yesterday. So now we're, we're gonna, we're gonna stay inside and work some more today.

[00:01:38] Because it's hot, hot, hot, hot, hot and humid. And Maria has some breathing problems. So we're gonna try and stay inside as much as we can today. Anyway, how are you doing? Are you, are you prepping? Are you frantic? Maria got frantic the other day. It's a, it's a rare occurrence.

[00:02:01] Uh, but you know, she, she belongs to a whole bunch of Facebook groups and, uh, it got her going. And I'm like, calm down, relax. Remember during COVID we stayed here for six weeks and never went out. And, and she says, In a Romanian accent.

[00:02:30] Uh, yeah, things, things are going crazy. Pretty, pretty steady, crazy. You know, everything that's happening today in the Middle East, uh, you can trace back to the Obama administration. Didn't he give them over a billion dollars in cash? A C-130 full of cash? I think it was euros.

[00:03:00] For four hostages? Something like that. Um, and then entered into a deal where, well, they can keep her rich in uranium, but at a slower pace, you know. So they don't get a bomb for 10 years. Well, that's, it's been 10 years. Hey, uh, guys, it's been 10 years. So, here we are.

[00:03:30] And, you know, you, you basically have to ask yourself this one question. Do you want Iran to have a bomb? Yes or no? And, and if it's yes, uh, okay, then what? Then what, what are you willing to do?

[00:03:50] And, you know, if you listen to Tucker Carlson, well, we'll contain them like we did, uh, Pakistan and, uh, uh, Pakistan has already said that if, if we go into Turkey, they're gonna help. So, so, so much for containment.

[00:04:09] It's, it's the idea of a murderous, uh, autocratic regime having the most powerful weapon ever developed by man. Now, is that a good idea? Well, 80% of the United States thinks it's not.

[00:04:38] So, there you go. Um, it's, it's not a good idea. And the civilized world should join together and do everything they can to stop Iran.

[00:04:54] Uh, you know, the sanctions were working and, um, if everybody got on board with them and there were no leaks in these sanctions, well, they'd be crippled at no time. Um, but Obama not only lifted the sanctions, he paid him, paid all this money and Joe Biden did the same thing.

[00:05:20] So they were able to continue on not only with their nuclear program, their missile program. And this is the consequence of all of that bad decision making. So, maybe one day we'll look back on Donald Trump's decisions and say, wow, that was terrible. Or maybe we'll say, well, no, it worked out pretty good.

[00:05:49] Hindsight is 20-20, as they say. Hey, did you hear this? This is a strange thing. Um, someone is sending anonymously pizzas to lawmakers' houses. Now, uh, this is all I know about this story.

[00:06:09] But do you remember when the National Guard was, uh, in Washington, D.C. for like six months after, uh, almost said 9-11. Ha ha ha ha. Yeah. After January 6th, uh, according to Democrats, the worst day since 9-11. Nah. Nah, that was not it. Uh, one person died that day. Ashley Babbitt.

[00:06:39] Um, but they were in, they were in Washington, D.C. for six months or longer. Uh, and, uh, someone sent that, no, they ordered pizza. Okay. They were sleeping in parking garages and stuff like that.

[00:06:54] You know, uh, during the parade, my, my neighbor, who works for the Department of the Interior, said that they, they opened up their office building to house some of the, the military. And he said they were sleeping everywhere. And he said they were sleeping everywhere. In the coffee, copy room. In the, uh, I said, yeah, one thing the Army knows how to do is sleep whenever you can.

[00:07:21] Uh, it's a superpower that everybody in the military has. It's, uh, the, the ability to sleep in the back of a moving deuce and a half. Um, so, uh, where was I? What a rant here. What a, uh, I think I've had too much caffeine too early this morning. Um, yeah, Barack Obama bombed eight countries. Eight.

[00:07:50] You remember how he bombed Libya and they, you know, it was going to be a, a small campaign and, and toppled that government. But he can, he can talk crap about what Trump is doing to save the world. Uh, and, and basically, you know, uh, this is it.

[00:08:15] Uh, I mean, Barack Obama bombed eight countries and that's more countries than any president had bombed. Even Bush. Since World War II. Yeah. But this is a bad idea. And we don't even know what this is. This could be nothing more than a show.

[00:08:43] Uh, to get the, uh, Ayatollahs. The Mullahs to give in. This, this could only be, you know, hey, we're in position. What's your, what's your last words? What would you like to say to the world before we snuff you out? Um, I don't know. We'll see.

[00:09:12] But the answer to everything as the Patriot Power guys kept saying, prep on, prep on. Uh, you know, if you, if you look at the way the market's reacting and, and gas, I guess, has gone up just on this, on this move. So, yeah, put, put you up some gas. You know, enough, if, if you can't do anything else, enough to fill your car up once.

[00:09:41] You know, have that in your back pocket. Just to say, well, I got one tank, one tank of gas. I can go X number of miles. If, if everything is shut down, I have one tank of gas. Um, yeah. That's, that's one thing. We used to, oh, this was a long time ago. Oh, a long, long time ago.

[00:10:07] Before COVID, uh, we came up with these levels of prepping. And, um, you know, if you're a level five prepper, that's the highest prepper you can be. You have a year's worth of food stored up and you're producing more. Uh, we, we went down through all the categories. Water, uh, you have, have water supplies, more than one water supply, uh, rain collection and all this kind of stuff.

[00:10:37] You know, that's a level five. So you can be, uh, a level five prepper in some areas and a level four in others. And it was a way to look at your preps and see, hey, I got to do this to get to the next level. You know, instead of having, uh, my plan is to do something.

[00:11:01] Well, how do you know if you made it if you don't have a, a goal set to achieve it? What, what are your standards? So it was a way to standardize prepping, more or less. This was a long time ago. You're going to have to go way, way back to the archives. And maybe, I, I remember creating this form and sending it to the Intrepid Commander. So maybe it's in the members only side. I'm not sure.

[00:11:30] Hey, and I got his book. I got the Intrepid Commander's poem for men. Mainly because I'm a man. And I think I should have it. A really nice, uh, front cover. And I wanted to read to you some of the statistics that are on the front cover. Which, wow, this really, really makes a lot of sense here.

[00:11:56] 15% of US men report having no close friends. Well, I'm not in that category. 90% of the US dads say being a dad is the greatest joy. That is true. That is true. Of my accomplishments, everything I've done in life,

[00:12:21] The one thing that I hold above all else is becoming a dad at 50. For the first time. 55 at the second one. Suicide is the second leading cause of death amongst men. 15 to 24. Okay, that's, that's kind of crazy.

[00:12:50] That is kind of crazy there. Think about that stat. 15 to 24. Gosh, young men. You would think like, maybe drinking too much. I don't know. 75% of first responders are men. So men are seeing more trauma by a large percentage than women.

[00:13:20] 40% of men hide their struggles. Well, isn't that what men are supposed to do? I'm joking. I'm joking. Dude. I am not the hardened army guy I once was. And I, I credit to having kids. That and living so long that most of your friends have died.

[00:13:47] Um, you've experienced more pain and loss in your life. If you live long enough. Anyway, I'm a, I'm a big softy anymore. Let's see. Children with engaged fathers are 43% more likely to earn A's. Well, my daughter got all A's.

[00:14:13] And she, she, uh, graduated this year with an A average for the year. So, and I must say the only B she got this year was in my history class. Oof. That was a terrible ride home after that. 75% of all suicides are men. Huh. That's interesting.

[00:14:41] So this is on the front cover of James' book. And I have to talk to him about how he published this. I want to know because, you know, I may do my book like this. Although it's going to be a lot bigger. I have a, uh, four to five year time span of my life I'm going to write a book about. It's just the most incredible period. Uh, terrible and incredible all at the same time.

[00:15:09] Um, and it, it covers everything I did, um, from slightly before 9-11 to just after my daughter's birth. So it's about five years. Anyway, PBN family, I'm going to make that game too. I got, I downloaded all the stuff. I got to put it all together.

[00:15:35] Mr. Jones's history, a history game, hysterical history. Yeah, that's what I'll call it. Mr. Jones's hysterical history game. Anyway, PBN family, all I can say is prep on. You know, you have to, are your routines in place that are helping you to achieve your goals? Okay? So do you have the routines?

[00:16:05] And what I mean by routines is something that you do every day. When, when I say establish a position and improve upon it daily, you can develop a routine to where you're going forward on your preps. Like, right here, we're, we're raising chickens. So if you keep feeding the routine, you have a routine, check and feed them twice a day. Da-da-da-da-da.

[00:16:32] Um, that's a routine that you can establish that will improve your food production. Okay? Um, a few weeks back, I'm, I'll get my prepper tip going here. A few weeks back, I don't know if you heard or not, but, uh, I asked the warden which animals were easiest to keep and easiest to process.

[00:17:00] So this is the list. Are you ready? Are you ready? Now these are considerations you need to take into effect when you're going to start, uh, raising some homesteading livestock. So, processing, the hardest thing to process we found was ducks, which coincidentally is the hardest thing to keep.

[00:17:30] So, you know, that's, that's a, but ducks provide, you know, duck fat and a whole bunch of other stuff. We had some duck last night and it was, oh, it was pretty fantastic. So, but then turkeys are the next hardest to process. Chickens are in the middle. Rabbits are pretty easy. And quail is the easiest to process. So, I think Maria can do a quail in six minutes.

[00:18:01] So, she can do, uh, ten quail an hour. That's pretty great. And then to keep, the easiest to keep with, you know, the most production for you, number one is chickens because they lay eggs and they can provide meat. And, you know, if you use all the other stuff, they can provide other stuff too. Uh, next down is rabbits.

[00:18:30] Rabbits, very easy, very quiet. And they produce like rabbits. And quail, quail is next after that. Then turkey. Then duck. So, those are the, the order in which easiest to hardest to keep. And quail is in the middle there. Uh, you have to give them a higher protein of, uh, feed. Turkey too.

[00:19:00] Uh, and duck. Duck has their own feed with niacin. And, um, it's not, I think it's not good for, for chickens. Duck are just terrible, terrible things. Every time we get them and we're done processing, we say, we're never raising ducks again.

[00:19:23] And, but then, you know, year or so goes by and Maria says, hey, let's get 10 ducks, raise them up six weeks, and then cut them. Yeah. Okay. PBN family. I hope I gave you enough here. I'm at the 20 minute mark. I've yammered too much. Take care. And prep on.
