[00:00:03] Welcome back to the Changing Earth Podcast with author Sarah F. Hathaway and co-host

[00:00:14] Chen Gibson, blending survival fiction and fact to bring you entertaining education that

[00:00:21] will help you dream, survive and thrive.

[00:00:24] And now here's your hosts Sarah F. Hathaway and Chen Gibson.

[00:00:31] Chapter 45

[00:00:34] Cole danced until the sweat beated thickly on his brow and dripped from the ends of his

[00:00:38] hair.

[00:00:39] As he approached the table he noticed that Ginger had joined Monroe and Chappie.

[00:00:44] Monroe was telling her a story from The Great Quake.

[00:00:47] And then Chappie says,

[00:00:48] Maybe the underwear bomber is on the plane, Monroe said, chuckling.

[00:00:53] Chappie, you always come up with the best lines, Ginger told him, laughing heartily.

[00:00:58] Hello Ginger, Cole said sitting in the chair.

[00:01:01] There you are Cole, nice to see you relaxing, she told him with a wide smile.

[00:01:06] Drink?

[00:01:07] Cole asked pouring himself a drink.

[00:01:09] No thanks, she replied politely.

[00:01:12] You sure?

[00:01:13] The night is young, Cole urged.

[00:01:15] Before she could answer Bennett approached.

[00:01:17] Blushing from the warm greeting she replied, Ginger Russell, and you are?

[00:01:22] Patrick Bennett, but you can call me anything you want, he replied politely,

[00:01:28] kissing the back of her hand.

[00:01:29] She's already spoken for, Patrick, Monroe corrected.

[00:01:33] Lucky you.

[00:01:34] What do you see in this slacker, Ginger?

[00:01:36] Bennett asked, chuckling at his joke.

[00:01:39] Must be his exceptional sense of humor, she teased back, kissing Monroe on the cheek.

[00:01:44] Patrick, are you over here giving sweet Ginger a hard time?

[00:01:47] Alex wondered as he and Nicholton rejoined the men at the table.

[00:01:51] Nah, I'm just wondering when she's going to lose the zero and get with a hero,

[00:01:56] Bennett joked.

[00:01:57] Eager to talk with Bennett more, Cole suggested.

[00:02:00] Come on Patrick, I want to show you this loadout.

[00:02:03] Ready for some air himself, Bennett agreed.

[00:02:06] You can't go wrong with guns or girls.

[00:02:09] The party extended beyond Dolores's place, but out on the street the armed guards maintained

[00:02:14] order.

[00:02:15] What brought you back?

[00:02:17] Bennett asked as the men traversed the parking lot.

[00:02:21] Why do you stay in, Cole countered.

[00:02:23] I've always believed in my mission, Bennett explained.

[00:02:26] I can respect that.

[00:02:28] The roundups were tough, Cole told him.

[00:02:31] We got so much of the fallout from California, Vegas has always been about rescuing people,

[00:02:36] Bennett defended.

[00:02:37] And the reeducation programs, Cole wondered, entering his office.

[00:02:42] A necessity to keep order, Bennett answered.

[00:02:46] Cole went to his desk and poured them both a drink.

[00:02:49] Twirling the liquid in his glass, Bennett prodded.

[00:02:52] You never answered my question.

[00:02:54] What brought you back?

[00:02:55] I really didn't have a choice, did I?

[00:02:58] Cole told him flatly.

[00:02:59] The feds decided my home was in the badlands.

[00:03:02] The tsunami destroyed my home, so I'm a refugee.

[00:03:06] Cole drank the liquid from his glass, put the cup on the desk and went to a table

[00:03:11] in the center of a small sitting area.

[00:03:13] He sat down on the couch and pulled on the top of the table.

[00:03:17] The center square of the table lifted up.

[00:03:20] Cole moved it aside, revealing a beautiful rifle.

[00:03:23] This is my baby, Cole told him, picking up the weapon and handing it to Bennett.

[00:03:28] Nice!

[00:03:29] Custom from barrel to stock, Bennett stated, admiring the craftsmanship.

[00:03:34] I've collected the parts as I go.

[00:03:37] She's just about perfect now though.

[00:03:39] I just found that trigger mechanism, Cole told him, pointing out the parts.

[00:03:43] Beautiful, Bennett declared, handing it back to him.

[00:03:46] And what about you, Patrick?

[00:03:49] Are you a refugee?

[00:03:50] Cole wondered.

[00:03:51] I'm from Texas originally, but I never went home after the quake.

[00:03:55] I was stationed in California and stayed in Vegas after that.

[00:03:59] I guess I am, Bennett answered.

[00:04:02] Did you ever question the FEMA initiatives, Cole wondered, putting the weapon away?

[00:04:06] Honestly, I was too busy to think about it much, Bennett replied as they walked

[00:04:10] back towards the club.

[00:04:13] If you believe in the cause, why did you ask them to reassign you, Cole asked?

[00:04:18] It's necessary, not enjoyable, Bennett admitted.

[00:04:22] Is it necessary?

[00:04:24] You remember the chaos, the roundups.

[00:04:27] You of all people should understand the necessity of it, Bennett defended.

[00:04:32] It's the other reason that brought me back, Cole admitted.

[00:04:35] See, you know what I'm talking about.

[00:04:37] The orders keep us alive.

[00:04:39] And rules maintain order, Bennett stated, opening the club door.

[00:04:44] I can't disagree, Cole responded as they approached the table.

[00:04:48] Did you have a nice time polishing his barrel, Alex asked Bennett with a wide grin?

[00:04:53] Don't be jealous, honey, Bennett teased back as he sat down.

[00:04:57] Where's Monroe and Ginger, Cole asked Chappie, pouring himself a drink.

[00:05:01] Ginger was tired and Monroe took her to bed, Chappie explained.

[00:05:05] Lucky dog, Bennett interjected.

[00:05:08] Those two certainly got close, Alex noted.

[00:05:11] I think it's going to be a permanent thing, Cole admitted.

[00:05:14] I think you're right, Cole.

[00:05:16] She's been acting strange lately, though, Cole explained.

[00:05:19] I haven't seen her have a drink for weeks.

[00:05:22] She's just taking a break, Major.

[00:05:24] She's fine, Chappie assured him.

[00:05:27] His thought pattern was disrupted as Jennifer snuck up behind him and whispered in his

[00:05:31] ear.

[00:05:32] You going to stay the night?

[00:05:34] He turned and kissed her neck.

[00:05:36] With an offer like that, how could I say no?

[00:05:40] Are you prepared to be the family doctor in a disaster or emergency?

[00:05:45] This is the Intrepid Commander and I'm holding the Prepper's Medical Handbook by William

[00:05:51] W. Forgey, M.D.

[00:05:54] In this great book, you'll learn how to prepare for medical care off the grid.

[00:05:58] You'll learn about assessment and stabilization.

[00:06:01] You'll even deal with things like bioterrorism response, radiation, and how to build

[00:06:07] the off-grid medical kit at home.

[00:06:10] Look, 2020 taught us a lot about the limitations of our medical infrastructure in America.

[00:06:16] Get the Prepper's Medical Handbook today at Amazon.com.

[00:06:21] Again, that's the Prepper's Medical Handbook by William W. Forgey.

[00:06:29] You're listening to PABN, your path back to stability.

[00:06:59] Hello and welcome back to the Changing Earth Podcast.

[00:07:03] This is episode number 444, season 15, episode 45.

[00:07:10] So normally I would say, hey, Chin, what's up?

[00:07:13] But today we're saying, hey, Dave, what's up?

[00:07:18] You got to unmute yourself.

[00:07:20] Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry.

[00:07:23] Hey!

[00:07:24] That's what happens when you're the cohost.

[00:07:25] I bring in, I bring in, so yeah.

[00:07:27] Well, and I'm the backup, you know, my backup hitter today.

[00:07:33] Yeah.

[00:07:34] It was pretty last minute, so I really appreciate you coming on.

[00:07:38] Oh, no problem.

[00:07:39] This is the unskilled backup cohost.

[00:07:41] Oh yeah.

[00:07:42] Yeah.

[00:07:43] You're way better at the show topic than I am.

[00:07:46] I'm just saying.

[00:07:47] So.

[00:07:48] Oh, let's see what we got.

[00:07:50] So coming up, you are more than welcome to come back next week as well, Dave, because

[00:07:55] we're going to be doing a blooper show.

[00:07:59] We've reached the end of season three of the Change in Earth audio drama.

[00:08:04] So if you guys, you can go binge season three all the way through now if you want.

[00:08:08] Oh my gosh.

[00:08:09] It, it, I'm not saying it's the best, but wow, it is the best I've heard.

[00:08:18] Okay?

[00:08:19] It is unbelievable.

[00:08:22] You will be hanging on every word.

[00:08:24] I was really happy with the end.

[00:08:27] I got a music upgrade and it just really went 3.0 at the end.

[00:08:32] So exactly.

[00:08:34] How did you like the when she enters the arena?

[00:08:37] Yeah, right.

[00:08:38] Yeah.

[00:08:39] I can picture it in my mind.

[00:08:43] Yes.

[00:08:44] Me too.

[00:08:45] I was like, oh, I mean, I don't want to pat my own back, but like nailed it as

[00:08:49] far as the sounds went.

[00:08:51] I was so selective of like trying to find the right presentation.

[00:08:55] So yeah, that was good stuff.

[00:08:58] And season four is going to be off the chain.

[00:09:02] I'm already working on episode three right now.

[00:09:06] So and most everybody has all their lines in.

[00:09:09] So we're rolling.

[00:09:11] It's good stuff.

[00:09:13] So next week we're going to do the blooper show, a little break from

[00:09:17] And then on the 12th, we're going to do women of Prepper Camp show.

[00:09:23] So we'll have Jane on and we'll get Rhonda on.

[00:09:27] We'll get some good guests for you guys.

[00:09:30] Yeah, just Jane is going to fill it up.

[00:09:33] I got to hit Jordan up.

[00:09:34] So yeah, but that's fun.

[00:09:38] I've always wanted to do the women of Prepper Camp show and I put it off

[00:09:41] every year and then I don't do it.

[00:09:42] So I put it on my calendar on purpose this year.

[00:09:46] And of course, I'm one I am going this year.

[00:09:50] I am going I'm going to set up the substitute.

[00:09:53] I'm going to get an extra day.

[00:09:55] You know, last year it was just it was miserable without you.

[00:10:00] I mean, oh, yeah, we missed you big time.

[00:10:05] So they got to have the photo bomber in there for one thing.

[00:10:09] And you didn't get to hear my anti kidnapping and sexual assault class,

[00:10:13] which, yes, went really well.

[00:10:16] Yeah. So I've heard great things about that.

[00:10:21] Yeah, I've gotten a couple opportunities to teach it then.

[00:10:23] I feel blessed to just be able to help people, you know,

[00:10:27] with audiences that aren't in the preparedness community.

[00:10:31] It's it's all new to them.

[00:10:34] And so very eye opening for a lot of them.

[00:10:38] So very good stuff.

[00:10:40] Oh, and timing too.

[00:10:42] I mean, the timing couldn't be better with the the movie.

[00:10:46] What was it?

[00:10:47] The sound of silence, right? Yes.

[00:10:51] I had actually been researching Tim Ballard for like years before that.

[00:10:57] That's why I wrote Dark Days in Denver the way I did.

[00:10:59] And really why TJ became the character he is

[00:11:03] is because of Tim Ballard and everything I learned from him.

[00:11:07] Yeah. And I had to bring it to the forefront.

[00:11:09] I was like, look at this like huge problem, guys.

[00:11:12] And we're worried about slavery in the past.

[00:11:14] I understand that was a really big deal, but there's a lot of people still

[00:11:19] being held as slaves today.

[00:11:21] Yeah. There is more people and I bring this out in my history class.

[00:11:26] There is more people

[00:11:29] being held slavery and captives today

[00:11:33] than there was when it was legal. Yes.

[00:11:37] It's really sad.

[00:11:40] And not a lot of people like come forward and talk about it.

[00:11:44] And it's such a problem.

[00:11:45] And they're here in the United States, even.

[00:11:47] It's yes. Yeah.

[00:11:49] Everyone's like, oh, well, that's other countries.

[00:11:51] No, no, it's your country.

[00:11:54] Yep. Yeah.

[00:11:55] You think that board at Walmart is full of people all the time?

[00:12:00] Yeah. Yeah.

[00:12:01] And here in Texas, we get Amber Alerts on our phone.

[00:12:04] Like whenever a kid goes missing in the state, you know,

[00:12:07] and you just get them day after day after day.

[00:12:10] And you're just like, oh, my gosh, something has to be done.

[00:12:14] So yeah. Well, Texas, big state, too.

[00:12:17] Yeah. And it can be like a lot of times it's parents

[00:12:20] and custody issues and things like that.

[00:12:23] But, you know, a lot of times not so.

[00:12:28] All righty. So Virgis's episode today was actually a bonus episode.

[00:12:33] It's really a scene that I wrote that's not included in the audio drama

[00:12:38] because I had to show like what Virgis and Bennett were doing

[00:12:41] when they weren't there at the table.

[00:12:44] So we had to follow Virgis on that journey.

[00:12:47] So it was it was fun to put together that one.

[00:12:50] And basically, Virgis is just trying to get information out of them.

[00:12:56] And, you know, see, feel Bennett out.

[00:13:00] Like, will he come up?

[00:13:02] Will he come over to our side? Right.

[00:13:06] And like I was saying in the green room, this is something I really struggle with.

[00:13:09] I'm not the best at like,

[00:13:12] I'm way too honest and candid of a person.

[00:13:15] You can see, like if I'm what my intentions are kind of written all over me.

[00:13:21] So I'm I'm the worst.

[00:13:23] I'm like always like Brock, you've got to vet people because I have no idea.

[00:13:27] I'm the worst.

[00:13:29] So I did do some I did do some research, but I've got you on the show.

[00:13:35] And so you had some tips for us.

[00:13:36] So let's jump into it.

[00:13:38] Well, yeah. OK.

[00:13:40] First of all, with my police background,

[00:13:44] you want to when you interview someone, you want them to spill their guts.

[00:13:50] So in order to them to do that, you have to ask open ended questions.

[00:13:56] And the open ended questions are like,

[00:13:59] you know, what did you do?

[00:14:02] How did that make you feel?

[00:14:05] Uh huh.

[00:14:06] You know, you open it up so that there is just a wide

[00:14:11] swath of the way they can answer this.

[00:14:15] You that's an open ended question.

[00:14:18] When you start getting into specifics,

[00:14:23] then they clam up.

[00:14:25] You know, what time was that?

[00:14:27] Right. Because I know you're digging on a specific item.

[00:14:31] Right. Right.

[00:14:33] Another thing, if you want people to feel comfortable

[00:14:37] and you got to do this up front before the interview,

[00:14:40] you got to relax them.

[00:14:42] So you might offer them a cup of coffee, something to drink,

[00:14:47] you know, talk about something that has nothing to do

[00:14:53] with what you're there for.

[00:14:55] And and this is when I was in sales.

[00:14:58] OK, there's three things you can always talk about.

[00:15:02] That house, the family or their job.

[00:15:08] Or their junk.

[00:15:10] Their job. Oh, their job.

[00:15:12] I was like, they're junk, like at home or like personally.

[00:15:16] Oh, no.

[00:15:18] No, there's you know what they do for a living.

[00:15:20] Yeah, got you. Same page.

[00:15:22] What do you do for a living?

[00:15:23] If you say that, yeah, they're going to give you a little.

[00:15:27] Oh, yeah. Or or this is a really nice house.

[00:15:31] When did you guys move in?

[00:15:33] Oh, they'll give you the history.

[00:15:35] History. Do you know what I mean?

[00:15:38] Yeah. And if they have pictures in their home of their family.

[00:15:43] You know, you can say, wow, I see that you have a really big family

[00:15:47] and and then they'll go on about their oldest, their youngest.

[00:15:52] You know what I mean? Yeah, fair enough.

[00:15:54] And has nothing to do with why you're there,

[00:15:57] but it relaxes the people and starts getting them

[00:16:02] to answer questions and establishes that baseline trust with them.

[00:16:07] Yeah. Like, I'm not here to just sling something at you.

[00:16:11] You can trust me, right? Right.

[00:16:16] Yeah. And then once you do that, then you could start narrowing in

[00:16:19] on the subject that you really want to talk about.

[00:16:23] Yeah, that is one thing that I've really developed

[00:16:25] as far as my communication style, because I am so direct

[00:16:29] that I'm like, hey, take a minute and listen to what they're

[00:16:32] actually telling you instead of just being like, oh,

[00:16:35] this is the next point I need to make. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:16:40] And then there's a way that you can answer any objection.

[00:16:44] OK, and it's called feel felt found.

[00:16:48] OK, so they come up with an objection.

[00:16:51] You know, they're totally against whatever you said.

[00:16:54] I know how you feel.

[00:16:57] I felt the same way.

[00:16:59] Let me tell you what I found. Oh, I like that. OK.

[00:17:03] So you felt found and and then you

[00:17:07] you go over how this is better

[00:17:10] than, you know, what you're thinking or this is

[00:17:13] this is the solution to the answer. Feel felt.

[00:17:18] I like that.

[00:17:20] I'm taking notes.

[00:17:21] I found because I used heart here, acknowledge, repair, think

[00:17:28] like whenever I'm handling a problem with a client, you know,

[00:17:31] oh, I understand, you know, listen to them.

[00:17:35] I acknowledge your problem.

[00:17:36] I try to repair it and then thank them for bringing it

[00:17:40] to the ish to the forefront so I can address it in the future.

[00:17:44] Right. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:17:46] Mm hmm. That's a good one, though.

[00:17:48] Oh, yeah. I feel feel felt found.

[00:17:52] I I felt the same way.

[00:17:54] You know, you're empathizing with them.

[00:17:56] Let me tell you what I found.

[00:17:59] Yeah, and it really acknowledges their feelings there, too.

[00:18:02] So they feel like they've been heard.

[00:18:04] And that's always most important.

[00:18:06] Like, oh, they really understand where I was coming from.

[00:18:09] Yeah.

[00:18:11] No, that's a good one.

[00:18:13] Well, and if if you want to get into

[00:18:16] strong interrogation techniques, OK?

[00:18:22] This is where you start

[00:18:25] making people feel uncomfortable.

[00:18:27] And and this is how you make them feel uncomfortable

[00:18:32] is you deprive them of, you know.

[00:18:37] Food, water, you let them sit for a long period of time.

[00:18:43] OK, so that they feel uncomfortable and

[00:18:48] like exposed so that when you do offer them a drink,

[00:18:53] you want to drink a water.

[00:18:55] Oh, yes, absolutely.

[00:18:58] I've been here for three hours.

[00:19:00] Yeah. You know, and then that that opens the door.

[00:19:03] So these are these are little techniques

[00:19:06] when you bring someone in for questioning.

[00:19:09] You want to I mean, it depends upon the situation,

[00:19:14] but you want to make them feel uncomfortable.

[00:19:17] And, you know, you're depriving them of certain things,

[00:19:21] like even going to the bathroom.

[00:19:23] OK. Yeah. Hey, I'm sorry.

[00:19:25] It took so long.

[00:19:27] Do you have to go to the bathroom? Yes. Yes.

[00:19:29] Please let me out of here.

[00:19:31] It's like a bathroom.

[00:19:33] Yes. Yes.

[00:19:33] Swenson knows all about those ones.

[00:19:35] I had to research that kind of stuff for I had a friend who is

[00:19:41] a former member of a biker gang.

[00:19:43] We'll just put it that way.

[00:19:45] And he walked me through a lot of the,

[00:19:50] you know, interrogation stuff that they used to do,

[00:19:53] which is horrific to listen to.

[00:19:55] But I don't think that way.

[00:19:57] I couldn't come up with ideas for like, you know, going that dark.

[00:20:02] Oh, it was it was kind of tough. So.

[00:20:05] Well, let me give you an example.

[00:20:08] And this is I am not recommending this to anyone.

[00:20:13] But I I purchased

[00:20:17] for 50 bucks this dog shot collar.

[00:20:21] Oh, the dog shot collar.

[00:20:22] Yeah. Well, yeah.

[00:20:24] My dog, he barked a lot.

[00:20:26] But, you know, he is just plain stupid.

[00:20:29] Yeah. OK.

[00:20:31] And I thought, man, I put this on him and I shock him

[00:20:35] and Bucky just is stupid and I'm shocking him.

[00:20:39] So I put that thing back.

[00:20:40] You know, I couldn't take it back.

[00:20:42] It was past the time you could take it back.

[00:20:44] And I'm like, you know what?

[00:20:47] On a human being,

[00:20:49] that would be a great interrogation.

[00:20:52] Our airsoft rifles, you know, they don't like really

[00:20:56] like, yeah, if you're close, you could if you're close,

[00:21:00] you could wait like we can cut cardboard with them and stuff.

[00:21:03] But like, yeah, it's not going to be.

[00:21:06] But if you were like tied down and somebody was shooting you

[00:21:08] at the time, you would share.

[00:21:10] Oh, yeah. I like this.

[00:21:12] And then the dog shot collar.

[00:21:14] No. Oh, man.

[00:21:16] Good thing I didn't have dug on for this show.

[00:21:21] Oh, yeah.

[00:21:23] That you just stay tuned to the changing earth.

[00:21:26] That's all I got to say.

[00:21:28] Have you read my books all the way through?

[00:21:33] So but my thought is if you were like in a community

[00:21:37] surviving post apocalyptic and you have the opportunity

[00:21:42] to kind of just have a conversation with somebody who's from another community,

[00:21:47] like obviously the game is going to be like learn as much as we can

[00:21:51] with the telling you as little as we can.

[00:21:53] And both sides would be thinking that same thing.

[00:21:57] So like, obviously, I'm not the person you want to say

[00:22:01] because I'd be like, so we're hanging out like,

[00:22:05] you got all this, you know, and I wouldn't, you know,

[00:22:08] I know what's legit, what's not when to keep my mouth shut

[00:22:11] and when to open it.

[00:22:13] But I'm still not the best of like

[00:22:17] it's more like I'll give you something, you give me something.

[00:22:20] I'll give you something, you give me something.

[00:22:22] So, you know, and you just don't want to give too much.

[00:22:26] And when you're talking to someone like that,

[00:22:29] it's it's kind of like playing poker.

[00:22:31] Yeah. So you got to look for their tells.

[00:22:34] If they're looking down into the left,

[00:22:38] you know, maybe they're not telling you the truth

[00:22:42] on one, whatever you just said.

[00:22:44] You know, so you got to look or maybe they're jiggling their foot

[00:22:48] because they're not really comfortable with what's going on.

[00:22:51] You know, they're just nervous.

[00:22:53] Right. And you could kind of pick that out through like ask them

[00:22:57] a question that's an easy one for them.

[00:22:58] Where are you from kind of thing or something like that?

[00:23:01] Where they'd answer really quickly,

[00:23:04] you know, and then throw on that you that you're curious about.

[00:23:09] So, yeah.

[00:23:10] Or, you know, here's one that opens people up.

[00:23:14] People people that are preppers or police officers.

[00:23:21] Hey, that's a really nice piece you got there.

[00:23:23] What is that a sig?

[00:23:25] Oh, yeah. Fair enough.

[00:23:27] Yeah. All about my gun.

[00:23:29] And now you know what they look like when they're being honest.

[00:23:32] Yeah. Oh, yeah.

[00:23:35] Or is that a Gerber?

[00:23:36] Oh, I'm a buck. This is Gerber.

[00:23:39] You know, yeah. Fair enough.

[00:23:42] I'd be talking all about Teddy, my Tavor.

[00:23:45] I mean, Teddy is my best friend.

[00:23:48] Right. Because you're proud as heck of that.

[00:23:51] Oh, man.

[00:23:52] I never thought I'd own that thing.

[00:23:55] So that's sweet.

[00:23:57] I got to tell you, that's sweet.

[00:23:58] It's a part of me.

[00:23:59] I've found it a thousand dollars last time ever seen it before.

[00:24:04] You know, I just had to had to.

[00:24:06] My husband actually made me so to speak.

[00:24:09] He was like, hey, there's the gun you always wanted.

[00:24:14] Why don't you pick it up?

[00:24:15] I'm like, because I'm going to buy it then.

[00:24:18] He's like, yeah, pick it up.

[00:24:21] Now it's the best.

[00:24:23] You just opened up.

[00:24:24] I did right there. It is.

[00:24:28] Oh, see how bad I am.

[00:24:31] Yeah. Yeah.

[00:24:32] But you could you can do that with anybody

[00:24:35] and any piece of gear they're carrying.

[00:24:38] Yeah, they made a decision.

[00:24:41] They went through a thought process to buy that backpack,

[00:24:45] that belt, that whole whatever they're carrying.

[00:24:50] And if you want to pants.

[00:24:52] Yeah, their pants.

[00:24:54] Yeah. If you want to open them up.

[00:24:57] And get them to relax.

[00:24:59] Hey, those are really nice.

[00:25:01] Where did you get them?

[00:25:02] Yeah. And you're fluffing their skirt at the same time

[00:25:05] because you're like giving them props for for their decision

[00:25:09] making skills to carry that that piece, that item.

[00:25:13] Oh, that's so good.

[00:25:15] See, not only that, if if you're in a grid down

[00:25:20] situation and you got the wagon circle. OK.

[00:25:25] The person that does the interrogation

[00:25:28] can not be the person that did the capture.

[00:25:33] OK. OK. It has to be someone else.

[00:25:38] You speed them.

[00:25:40] We used to have a an acronym

[00:25:44] for for capturing it was

[00:25:47] it wasn't salute, gosh darn

[00:25:51] size, activity, location, unit time and equipment.

[00:25:54] That's salute. That's a salute per report.

[00:25:58] It was something else when you capture, capture someone.

[00:26:02] You speed them to the rear.

[00:26:04] The S was speed.

[00:26:05] And that was to get them to the person

[00:26:09] that was going to open them up.

[00:26:11] And that person in your group has got to be

[00:26:14] the the person with the best skills.

[00:26:18] So it's it's it's a thing.

[00:26:21] And and you blindfold them.

[00:26:25] You put a bag over their head.

[00:26:27] They can't see anything about your operation.

[00:26:30] And no one takes that off

[00:26:33] until the person that's going to talk to them talks to them.

[00:26:38] And no one talks in front of them about anything.

[00:26:42] Oh, yeah. That they can hear

[00:26:45] that they can listen to because they're gathering information

[00:26:51] all the time, too. Right.

[00:26:53] No matter what their disposition is.

[00:26:56] Whether they become a part of your group or they get released

[00:27:01] or whatever, whatever their disposition is,

[00:27:04] they're gathering information whether they know it or not.

[00:27:06] So you never talk

[00:27:10] anywhere that they can hear you.

[00:27:13] Yeah. Is anytime I've been in like a bad situation

[00:27:16] when I was younger, I've been in some, sorry to say.

[00:27:20] But immediately I start like memorizing landscape

[00:27:24] and all of that kind of stuff of like, you know,

[00:27:27] where does every step take us and how would I get back?

[00:27:30] Kind of deal. Yeah.

[00:27:32] So even when with a hood on, I'm going to be doing the same thing.

[00:27:35] How far am I walking? What directions are returning?

[00:27:38] What language are they speaking?

[00:27:40] Do they have an accent?

[00:27:42] You know, and when they bring them back to get interrogated,

[00:27:47] you might want to take a zigzag.

[00:27:49] So it seems like a long ways,

[00:27:53] you know, from where I got. Yeah, fair enough. Uh huh.

[00:27:56] Zigzag path.

[00:27:58] Another thing that they did in the military

[00:28:04] when they captured someone, they booked their boots.

[00:28:08] Okay. They did what?

[00:28:11] They took their boots. Oh, got you.

[00:28:13] OK. So they would not run.

[00:28:16] Uh huh. Because you don't want to leave with bare feet.

[00:28:20] And it's also uncomfortable.

[00:28:22] And it's a thing that the interrogator can give them back.

[00:28:28] Fair enough. Hey, hey, your feet are hurting.

[00:28:32] They brought you here.

[00:28:33] I told him not to take your boots off.

[00:28:36] Would you like your boots back?

[00:28:39] I love that. Uh huh. Yeah.

[00:28:42] And then they're like, yeah, definitely would like my boots back.

[00:28:47] Yeah. You can watch out for even once you give them back to him.

[00:28:50] Like, what are they?

[00:28:51] What signs are they displaying?

[00:28:52] Like looking like, oh, yeah, I'm finding this escape route, that escape route.

[00:28:58] That would be the tough part.

[00:28:58] Just the basic condition of their boots.

[00:29:01] Mm hmm. You know, those boots are new and they're in good shape.

[00:29:07] Oh, that's so true.

[00:29:08] And in a post-apocalyptic situation. Uh huh.

[00:29:11] Yeah, that unit's well supplied.

[00:29:14] Or because. Are they just trashed on their last limb?

[00:29:20] Yeah, exactly.

[00:29:21] The boots are wore out duct tape twice to just show you like they're desperate.

[00:29:26] Yeah, because I would put your group in even more danger

[00:29:29] if they were that desperate.

[00:29:30] If they're well supplied, you probably don't have too many worries

[00:29:35] unless they just want more.

[00:29:37] Right. But if they're desperate,

[00:29:39] they will just throw caution to the wind and come at you.

[00:29:43] Sarah, I don't know if this is where you wanted to go with.

[00:29:47] I mean, it's been a great combo.

[00:29:50] I'm just saying.

[00:29:53] Oh, these are what I love.

[00:29:54] How do you think my author brain works?

[00:29:59] So the other thing that I was checking out to is just going into difficult

[00:30:04] situations, you know, as far as like having those difficult

[00:30:10] conversations, because that I've managed a lot of people in my life

[00:30:15] and learning how to communicate effectively

[00:30:18] is like as important as going to the gym each week.

[00:30:22] It's really like a muscle you have to flex and keep learning.

[00:30:28] So instead of avoiding these really difficult conversations,

[00:30:32] you can manage them better.

[00:30:35] So I will tell you this, that

[00:30:39] as a police officer, I observed how

[00:30:44] interracial communication is.

[00:30:49] Like if I had a black partner

[00:30:52] and I went into a black family's house,

[00:30:56] they they would open up to him and they wouldn't say crap to me.

[00:31:01] And it's the same way with a woman.

[00:31:04] If if the thing happens to a woman,

[00:31:08] they won't open up to another man.

[00:31:10] So maybe the situation depends on, hey, you captured a woman.

[00:31:18] Maybe you should have a woman talk to her.

[00:31:20] Right. Yeah. Yep.

[00:31:23] Because she'd be much more willing to open up about like maybe

[00:31:27] how she's being treated there or things like that.

[00:31:30] Yep, exactly.

[00:31:32] Whereas with another man, she just thinks

[00:31:36] maybe I'm just going to get beat on some more or something.

[00:31:39] The same. Yeah.

[00:31:41] And she but to another woman, she may open up and just spill.

[00:31:46] Right. Well, and you know, that's a technique I use in my books

[00:31:51] a lot actually is like the women and the guys, like the women

[00:31:54] that are permissive, you can get a lot of information out of the guys.

[00:31:59] Oh, absolutely.

[00:32:01] You have to send in your send in your spies.

[00:32:06] Yeah.

[00:32:10] Yeah. So I think in for in order to improve that skill,

[00:32:15] having clear goals.

[00:32:18] Is really important.

[00:32:20] I like having a clear goal in your mind, because I think that's where

[00:32:24] I get kind of lost is I'll just get caught up in the conversation

[00:32:27] and let it move.

[00:32:29] But when I have to like host a show, for example,

[00:32:32] or moderate a panel of speakers,

[00:32:35] we have to kind of reach certain areas.

[00:32:38] And so I have to direct that conversation.

[00:32:41] It's more of like actively

[00:32:42] conversating instead of just passively conversating.

[00:32:46] Yeah. Well, in recording,

[00:32:50] you whoever is asking the questions cannot write down the answers

[00:32:55] or if you have a recording device, just record the whole thing.

[00:33:00] But if you're interrogating someone else has to write down

[00:33:04] everything that that person says, because as soon as you take their eyes off

[00:33:10] and you're looking down at a pad, that means you're not interested anymore.

[00:33:15] And they stop. Yep.

[00:33:18] It breaks the continuity of the conversation.

[00:33:21] Yep. You want it to keep flowing and you want 100 percent

[00:33:25] attention on that person.

[00:33:27] Every little influx of emotion.

[00:33:32] You have to be able to key on to get more.

[00:33:37] That's a really good point.

[00:33:37] And it makes you really nervous when somebody else is writing down your responses.

[00:33:42] Exactly. It's a horrific feeling.

[00:33:45] Someone they can't see who's off to the side or in the back.

[00:33:50] Yeah. And they're writing down what they're saying, everything, taking notes.

[00:33:55] That makes sense.

[00:33:57] Yeah, that's the worst.

[00:33:59] When you're like, I've had to do some tests with teachers, you know,

[00:34:03] and they ask you and then they're writing and you're like,

[00:34:05] what are you writing?

[00:34:07] What are you doing? Yeah.

[00:34:08] Or I do a lot of pitches for my TV show.

[00:34:13] Yeah. And sometimes people don't turn the video on.

[00:34:16] Right. So you're on video like pitching this

[00:34:20] and their video is not on.

[00:34:22] So you can't even judge like, did they just understand what I just told them?

[00:34:27] Yeah. You know, it's like pitching to a brick wall.

[00:34:30] So you can't like read them and feel them.

[00:34:33] Like you say, when their eyes go down now, right.

[00:34:36] That is broken.

[00:34:38] Yeah. You don't know if they're like really with you or just

[00:34:41] just sitting there to take notes.

[00:34:43] Yeah. If you have a recording device, don't let them see you turn it on.

[00:34:51] We're going to start this meeting.

[00:34:54] Yeah. Yeah.

[00:34:56] Bye. That is a shutdown for sure.

[00:35:01] Yeah. All righty.

[00:35:04] I think I'm good.

[00:35:06] I really like that.

[00:35:07] I think we're at a good space, good space.

[00:35:11] So I've got to pick your mind a little bit.

[00:35:15] We're into the audio drama a little bit more because I know you're

[00:35:19] you're the man who helps me out with so many characters and

[00:35:25] so I've been trying to get you some good characters.

[00:35:29] They're going to last.

[00:35:31] But, you know, I got to tell everybody.

[00:35:33] I just want to know if they're going to die.

[00:35:35] So I don't have to put a lot of, you know.

[00:35:37] Oh, no, I'm definitely not telling you for sure.

[00:35:41] For sure, for sure.

[00:35:43] I think everyone's dead or dying.

[00:35:47] I think the last lines I sent to you

[00:35:51] for the general general.

[00:35:53] No, no, no.

[00:35:54] Nope, spoiler.

[00:35:55] And you're wrong about that one, too, by the way.

[00:35:59] Yeah. Yeah, you're wrong.

[00:36:01] So I want to see how that comes out.

[00:36:04] Yeah, I know.

[00:36:05] That's what I was going to call you out on.

[00:36:06] I'm like, oh, don't think so fast.

[00:36:10] But you're not you're not the only one who's like,

[00:36:14] oh, man, like guys, it's really a post apocalyptic fiction.

[00:36:18] You know, you get that.

[00:36:18] Yeah, like, you know, I know people get attached.

[00:36:23] It's it's awesome.

[00:36:25] Not everybody lives.

[00:36:28] It's been a ton of fun.

[00:36:31] Yeah, right. That's what I'm saying.

[00:36:33] So we just don't know who is going to like make it through.

[00:36:38] So yeah, that's half the fun of it.

[00:36:42] I guarantee.

[00:36:43] I'm not out of accents yet.

[00:36:46] I guarantee

[00:36:49] there are going to be some surprises coming up this season.

[00:36:53] I actually have a really great character for you, though.

[00:36:56] I can spoil this one if anybody knows my books.

[00:36:59] It's Gears character.

[00:37:00] So you get to play a Viking warrior.

[00:37:03] Oh, yeah. Yeah.

[00:37:06] Yeah, that'll be your like coup de grace character for you

[00:37:10] because he is he's a pivotal guy and he'll be a lot of fun for you to do.

[00:37:15] So I was like, yeah, let's give Dave.

[00:37:18] He's massive. Yes.

[00:37:21] He's like he believes in the Viking gods and he will.

[00:37:26] Yes, he'll smile and Valhalla.

[00:37:30] They're all in.

[00:37:32] During the show, how about the episode episode eight?

[00:37:36] I believe it is where Erica takes the stand for her kids when Vince is dying.

[00:37:42] Yes, yes.

[00:37:44] And the audio.

[00:37:46] Oh, my gosh, it was great.

[00:37:49] Yeah, I use that was Brad's song from Five Times August.

[00:37:53] Oh, OK.

[00:37:55] Yeah, it fit in perfect.

[00:37:57] It's from his the first CD.

[00:38:01] I can't remember what it's called, but it's all his old songs,

[00:38:04] which some of them are phenomenal, obviously.

[00:38:07] And that one's called like The Fight, and it was just so perfect.

[00:38:11] It just laid in.

[00:38:11] What? Yeah. Mm hmm. Mm hmm.

[00:38:15] Yeah, that was a good one.

[00:38:16] What was another like if you had to pick one of your faves out of this

[00:38:20] out of the season three?

[00:38:22] Oh, gosh. I don't need a train.

[00:38:26] What's that?

[00:38:28] When they they meet up on the train, everybody.

[00:38:31] I mean, it's like, yeah, like a whole intersection of.

[00:38:38] Oh, my gosh.

[00:38:39] Yeah. When when Verges is taking her through the wall.

[00:38:42] Yes. Yeah. OK.

[00:38:44] Yeah, definitely a suspense moment.

[00:38:46] Well, like, Serj is right there.

[00:38:49] Yeah, and I can see them like.

[00:38:52] Fingering their sidearms, right?

[00:38:56] Yeah. Like, OK, I'm not going to draw, but if he draws

[00:39:01] and Serj is like, can I pull this off with that?

[00:39:06] Right. I get it.

[00:39:08] Oh, my God, I could see their faces weighing it, measuring it,

[00:39:13] and they're just talking.

[00:39:15] And I know, you know, and you know, I know.

[00:39:18] Right. Yeah.

[00:39:21] Yeah, it was great. It was great. Nice.

[00:39:23] Very cool.

[00:39:25] I'm I was curious which one was your was your favorite.

[00:39:29] Yeah. Like I say, this this season is going to be we start out

[00:39:33] square in the action and it just never stops.

[00:39:37] These are some of my most like exciting books coming up.

[00:39:40] So well, I really like the season three was based on The Walls of Freedom.

[00:39:46] And that is one of my favorite books that I wrote

[00:39:50] that I've written because I did so much of the wilderness

[00:39:54] survival information in there.

[00:39:57] And then we had to create the whole world of like

[00:40:00] what society really looks like now outside of the Badlands, you know?

[00:40:06] So that was a challenging book.

[00:40:09] You should pick that one up one time.

[00:40:11] Have you read any has Deanna been reading them?

[00:40:15] Well, she hasn't started.

[00:40:17] She got on the some kind of a horror thing.

[00:40:21] Oh, got you.

[00:40:21] She's in a kind of a goth mood right now.

[00:40:24] So oh, she is so wow.

[00:40:28] She brings it.

[00:40:29] She's like, I want justice for Margaret.

[00:40:33] If she comes to proper camp, she just might give Doug a beat down there.

[00:40:37] I'm telling you.

[00:40:38] Oh, well, you know what?

[00:40:41] I think I'm going to put it if she wants to come.

[00:40:45] She's she's more than welcome.

[00:40:46] Yeah, for sure.

[00:40:47] We'd have a huge bit of the cast there for sure.

[00:40:51] Doug will be there teaching this year.

[00:40:53] So oh, it's awesome.

[00:40:55] Yeah. Yeah.

[00:40:57] Yeah, because you missed him last year.

[00:40:58] Radio listening land.

[00:41:00] If you want to meet Verges.

[00:41:04] Yeah. I'm for a break in.

[00:41:06] Verges, Swenson, of course, Erica, my whole family, the Moors.

[00:41:13] Yeah.

[00:41:15] You know, James does Monroe or Hall now.

[00:41:20] Yeah. Yeah.

[00:41:22] I I can't listen to the matter of facts, guys,

[00:41:27] without thinking Verges, right?

[00:41:31] He everybody's been doing such a great job.

[00:41:34] I mean, he really stepped it up.

[00:41:35] And I actually have like a few professional performers in there now.

[00:41:41] And it's been really, really cool to do.

[00:41:46] I see I get to hear my friends' voices every day

[00:41:48] because I'm working on the audio drama pretty much every day.

[00:41:51] So I get to hear you guys as voices like all the time.

[00:41:54] It just makes me happy.

[00:41:55] So it works.

[00:41:58] It's so much work, though, but so much fun, too. So

[00:42:02] if anybody is wondering like where I get a good deal of the music from,

[00:42:09] there's a site epidemic sound.

[00:42:12] A lot of the new songs are coming out of there,

[00:42:15] and I'm not allowed to post them on my website.

[00:42:17] So and if you're you're falling in love with a song,

[00:42:24] you can go to YouTube.

[00:42:26] The whole series, the whole changing earth audio dramas on YouTube now,

[00:42:30] they passed every copyright, everything, which was great.

[00:42:35] Yeah, I know.

[00:42:36] I was very careful, you know, to make sure that I'm using the right sounds.

[00:42:41] So you have a you have a YouTube changing earth?

[00:42:45] Yeah. Yeah. Just look changing earth or go to Sarah F Hathaway.

[00:42:49] F like Foxtrot.

[00:42:51] Yeah. OK. They're all on YouTube.

[00:42:53] And again, I've listened to it, I think three or four times now.

[00:42:57] I'm going to listen to it again. Right.

[00:42:59] Yeah. Give them a like. That'd be awesome.

[00:43:01] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:43:03] And I did some cool shorts for the show over there as well.

[00:43:08] But on YouTube, when you click on it,

[00:43:11] YouTube gives you the names of the songs in it so you can see

[00:43:15] exactly what song is in exactly what episode.

[00:43:20] So that's pretty cool.

[00:43:20] A lot of people really like the soundtrack.

[00:43:23] Absolutely.

[00:43:24] Mm hmm. Running, running, running, running.

[00:43:28] Like they are running.

[00:43:30] That is. Yeah.

[00:43:31] Oh, it was just the perfect song for it.

[00:43:34] So and I have some that are saved like

[00:43:38] I love this song and it is being saved for this specific part of the show.

[00:43:42] Like, and it's two seasons from now, you know.

[00:43:45] So yeah.

[00:43:47] All right. Well, I'm going to jump into some changing earth news.

[00:43:50] You want to stick around or are you going to or are you going to jump?

[00:43:53] Well, I'll mute myself and stick around.

[00:43:56] OK, sounds good.

[00:43:57] Let's go ahead and play some of that news music because we have some

[00:44:03] we have some stuff crack a lack in right now.

[00:44:11] Dream survive, thrive.

[00:44:15] This is changing Earth News.

[00:44:23] Are you changing Earth News?

[00:44:26] Today is April 28th, 2024.

[00:44:29] We've been having a lot of M class solar flares, not really Earth

[00:44:33] directed, but the sun's just been clicking them off just like nobody's business.

[00:44:37] Also, coronal holes, more incoming, some leaving.

[00:44:41] So we're still on earthquake watch, which has been one of the big stories

[00:44:45] of the week on the 22nd of April.

[00:44:49] There was 416 earthquakes that were 2.0 or bigger,

[00:44:52] the biggest of which was a 6.1 in Hulien City in Taiwan.

[00:44:56] There was a 3.3 earthquake

[00:45:00] in North Carolina and a hailstorm in South Carolina left cars and homes damaged.

[00:45:06] Alberta, Canada and B.C., they're already kicking off their wildfire season.

[00:45:11] They have 118 active fires and they were evacuating people

[00:45:16] out of Burgess Creek on the 22nd.

[00:45:19] There's also been multiple wildfires popping up in Polk County, Minnesota.

[00:45:23] Came up in the news.

[00:45:24] And then on April 23rd, 2024,

[00:45:28] there was 369 earthquakes that were 2.0 or bigger,

[00:45:31] biggest of which was a 5.8 in Hulien City in Taiwan again.

[00:45:35] So there's been a big, big earthquake swarms going on in Taiwan.

[00:45:39] And also there was earthquake storms going on in Yellowstone on the 23rd.

[00:45:46] Arizona started having some wildfires.

[00:45:48] They've been kicking it off.

[00:45:50] Cochise County. I just saw that.

[00:45:52] I thought that was the best.

[00:45:53] So Cochise County, that's in southeastern Arizona.

[00:45:58] They've been having a lot of wildfires out there.

[00:46:00] On April 24th, there was 419 earthquakes that were 2.0 or bigger,

[00:46:06] the biggest of which was a 5.4 in Chichajima Island in Japan.

[00:46:12] Southern China had heavy flooding.

[00:46:14] At least four people died in that event.

[00:46:16] It was in Guangdong. They were evacuating.

[00:46:19] And Athens, Greece.

[00:46:20] The skies turned totally apocalyptic as dust from the Sahara

[00:46:25] or the Sahara started invading from the Sierra.

[00:46:29] And Libya also got hit with that dust.

[00:46:32] Northern Africa, that area.

[00:46:35] New Zealand was hit by cyclone Gabriela.

[00:46:38] They did report a death out of that event.

[00:46:41] And then New Jersey had a big wildfire in one of their state forests.

[00:46:47] Italy also had one of their forests on fire.

[00:46:51] 2000 acres burned in Florence.

[00:46:54] On the 25th of April, there was 437 earthquakes that were 2.0 or bigger,

[00:46:59] the biggest of which was a 5.1 in the North Pacific Ocean.

[00:47:02] They have had at least 22 earthquakes that were 5.0 or bigger in Taiwan

[00:47:08] in the last few days.

[00:47:09] So that earthquake swarm just kept kicking.

[00:47:12] And really, it hasn't been holding up very much.

[00:47:15] On the 26th of April, there was 386 earthquakes that were 2.0 or bigger,

[00:47:21] biggest of which was a 6.0 in the Indian Ocean.

[00:47:24] Tanzania has seen some massive flooding.

[00:47:27] 155 people died in that event so far.

[00:47:30] Nebraska had an EF3 tornado touchdown.

[00:47:35] On April 27th, there was 450 earthquakes that were 2.0 or bigger,

[00:47:40] biggest of which was a 6.5 in the Indian Ocean near Jakarta.

[00:47:45] There was a 2.9 earthquake in Gladstone, New Jersey,

[00:47:48] a 6.5 in the Marianas Trench that day and a six that 6.5 in Java.

[00:47:55] In Kenya, 45 people have died and thousands are displaced as they deal with flooding.

[00:48:02] They also had a ferry that was carrying people trying to get across

[00:48:05] the river that was completely swept away.

[00:48:08] Moscow also saw flooding on the 27th

[00:48:12] due to the massive amounts of snow melt in Iowa.

[00:48:15] There was 10 confirmed tornadoes on the 27th.

[00:48:19] And then India saw a forest fire in Uttarhan, which is right near.

[00:48:26] Well, it's in northern India.

[00:48:29] Iowa had 10 confirmed tornadoes on that day.

[00:48:31] I think I already said that one.

[00:48:33] April 28th, 24, there was 399 earthquakes that were 2.0 or bigger,

[00:48:38] biggest of which was a 5.3 in Aichi, Japan.

[00:48:41] Texas, Dallas, Fort Worth.

[00:48:43] So that's today, folks.

[00:48:45] We had rain that caused flooding in submerging vehicles.

[00:48:49] They were performing water rescues there.

[00:48:51] Southern Russia.

[00:48:52] We've been talking about it last few weeks.

[00:48:54] They're still dealing with massive amount of flooding in the south

[00:48:57] with mudslides now happening and more snow melt coming in.

[00:49:01] Oklahoma, at least 16 tornadoes have touched down today.

[00:49:06] At least two people have lost their lives, unfortunately,

[00:49:09] including a four month old.

[00:49:11] So just north of us got really, really insane.

[00:49:14] Thirty people were injured in sulfur.

[00:49:18] In China, Guangzhou was hit with a tornado as well.

[00:49:21] And then Nebraska and Omaha, Omaha are also dealing

[00:49:25] with tornado touchdowns today.

[00:49:28] Just a mess pretty much from the south to the north.

[00:49:31] Storms popping up all along that area.

[00:49:34] And from what I've been watching on the weather channel,

[00:49:37] there's supposed to be more storms like that just backing it up.

[00:49:40] Not really an end to that pattern so far this spring.

[00:49:43] As far as volcanoes erupting,

[00:49:46] this is the most volcanoes I've ever seen erupting on planet Earth

[00:49:51] in all of my years now of recording volcano numbers.

[00:49:55] We have 33 volcanoes actively erupting.

[00:49:58] That is up one from last week.

[00:50:01] Nine of those are in Indonesia.

[00:50:04] Nine of them alone are in Indonesia.

[00:50:07] I that country is just they need some prayers.

[00:50:12] Then showing minor activity, 21 volcanoes showing minor activity.

[00:50:17] That's up three from last week and 27 showing unrest,

[00:50:22] which is down to what we actually added to the list from last week.

[00:50:26] So lots and lots of volcanic activity going on on planet Earth right now.

[00:50:31] As far as wildfires in the United States,

[00:50:33] we only have three thousand nine hundred and forty acres burning total.

[00:50:37] That's from four four large fires.

[00:50:39] There was 10 new of them, 10 new fires, but nine of those are contained.

[00:50:44] Arizona is our number one state on the list.

[00:50:46] They have two large active fires, two thousand three hundred and fourteen acres.

[00:50:51] Colorado is number two on the list with one large active fire,

[00:50:54] one thousand four hundred and seventy five acres.

[00:50:56] And then Virginia still coming in on the list.

[00:50:59] One fire, 150 acres burning.

[00:51:03] So there you go. There's our change in Earth news.

[00:51:06] Big takeaways are volcanoes and the earthquake activity,

[00:51:10] which I don't really see slowing down this week

[00:51:13] due to the state of the solar energy.

[00:51:16] Yeah. Now, if you go to where Sarah got all this information,

[00:51:21] you know, Ben, that's suspicious observers.

[00:51:25] I mean, that guy.

[00:51:29] And I've noticed an uptick in strangeness.

[00:51:34] Right. Yeah, yeah.

[00:51:36] It's getting it's getting quark here, not from him, from our planet.

[00:51:41] Yeah. Just doing insane thing.

[00:51:42] And Mars. Yep. Mm hmm.

[00:51:46] And it's weakening and that's causing a lot of the things

[00:51:51] that we're experiencing because

[00:51:54] things weren't like this.

[00:51:58] About 20 years ago.

[00:52:00] Yeah, the extremes are just going to become more and more extreme

[00:52:04] as we go until we see that flip

[00:52:08] and things can settle back down.

[00:52:09] But it's going to be a wild ride till we get there.

[00:52:12] Yeah, I definitely recommend everybody check out suspicious observers.

[00:52:16] Yeah, I like I don't get I get my solar information from him,

[00:52:20] which is the backbone of what I report on for the changing Earth.

[00:52:24] You know, so and then I just try to take trends from our planet

[00:52:28] so I can back it up and show like, look, we got crazy stuff going on.

[00:52:35] It's not hard to see the patterns for sure.

[00:52:41] Well, guys, that's all I got you for you tonight, Dave.

[00:52:44] Thank you so much for coming on.

[00:52:46] I appreciate your time in late notice jumping out with me.

[00:52:50] You're always a blessing to have around.

[00:52:53] Well, thanks. Happy to pinch it.

[00:52:55] Yes, sir. Appreciate it.

[00:52:57] All right. Are you are you going to be able to pull the ending off?

[00:53:01] Yeah, come on now. I think so.

[00:53:03] All right, guys. Until next time. Remember, dream.

[00:53:08] Survive, thrive, thrive.

[00:53:11] Yeah, there you go.

[00:53:12] Yeah, see, usually you just do the end because of chin.

[00:53:15] Yeah, exactly.

[00:53:17] All right, guys, have a great night.

[00:53:19] We'll see you next week. Take care.
