[00:00:04] [SPEAKER_00]: You're listening to PBN

[00:00:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Your path back to stability here

[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_00]: PBN family a vast array of resources at your fingertips

[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_00]: It's rare that I take a walk through pbnfamily.com. I should do it more often the digital walk

[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And I was confronted by it. Yeah, there's just so much you know what I mean when you spend your time and

[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_00]: And you have you know 14 other people who spend their time building out

[00:00:57] [SPEAKER_00]: content and resources for

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Those who wish to be prepared man. What inevitably happens is you just have so much that you forget about things

[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_00]: You quite frankly forget about things I

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Was scrolling through

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Through the website pbnfamily.com. These are members only site, but it's there's some of the hardest hitting free stuff on this site

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean really the nuclear war prepare not scared book. I talk about it a lot. It's right here

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Soon as you log in looks like a target logo

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Not what I want to talk about today

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_00]: What I really want to focus on is one of the one of the most impressive resources

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: we have which was actually given to us by a medical doctor and

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_00]: You know as a free resource

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know you know

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know where you get a service like this

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen a service like this and it's not it's not necessarily a service and there's still things for you to buy

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_00]: There's money for you to spend

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_00]: But I just I hope you feel the gravity of this

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know when I created this page

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_00]: But it was probably two or three years ago and the pages build your medical cash

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: And you'll see it. It's in the it's in the nav bar up there

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: You got members log in you got start your membership. You got build your medical cash, right?

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And build your medical cash was an it sort of became

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: It came to be from an email conversation. I was having

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Doc 4G the great sponsor the longest sponsor here at PBN now

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_00]: He is our senior sponsor William W. 4G MD

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Author of the preppers medical handbook which is one of the most affordable and

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Incredible preps you can have period the preppers medical handbook is you got to have it

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_00]: But and this page links to it. There's a picture of the cover. There's a picture of the cover on the show art as well

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: But what's most incredible about this man is that he you know after we've done business for a few years

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_00]: He sends me a list

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Of every over-the-counter item in his books

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So every over-the-counter item that is recommended to be used and instructed how to be used in the preppers medical handbook

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: He sends me a list

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_00]: And he says I you know, I checked all of these in Amazon. They they're all for sale on Amazon every one of these things

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_00]: So now what we have at PBN family comm is this crazy resource where you can go buy the book and

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_00]: then you can buy everything in the book and

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Then you have

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Fundamentally built out your medical cash

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_00]: You've built your own medical kit and you've done it under the guidance of William W. 4G MD

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_00]: The man behind the preppers medical handbook

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_00]: You know

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_00]: First aid kits are still weird, you know what I mean

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_00]: First aid kits are still still weird. I I never bought a

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_00]: First aid kit from Dr. Bones and they're samey, so I've never seen what they have though. I've heard great things

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_00]: The $100 or used to be $100 survival first aid kit is

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_00]: the best product that I've ever

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_00]: purchased

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_00]: But to have instruction and the list of items and to make it yourself

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I just think is it's really awesome, you know and there are some things in here that you'll never find in a first aid kit

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_00]: You'll never find the Lana Kane in a first aid kit. Let's see if it's still available. Oh the Lana Kane link does not work

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I had a feeling

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll have to replace that link

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_00]: But most of these links they still work the high the monol mold these things you'll never be

[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_00]: You need to be a doctor

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_00]: So they got this awesome high quality hand pump

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Aniseptic, you know for washing hands and tools and that kind of stuff

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Spanko bandage. These are things that you can find in other first aid kits

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_00]: But spanko bandage gauze quick clot cover let waterproof tape Sam Splintz a variety of elastic bandages

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_00]: triple antibiotic ointments

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Optimalic drops op-con I've never even heard of these

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have these I need these. Oh, I allergy relief. How about that? Bosh and Lomb allergy relief

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I could definitely use some of those anti histamine eye drop

[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I care is in the preppers medical handbook and done really well

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a scary sort of situation

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_00]: We got sutures though in there. Where's another oh three milliliters syringes. This is one of those things like

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_00]: You're never gonna get syringes in in almost any regular run of the mill and you of course you got to know what you're doing with syringes

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And it is kind of weird that you can buy syringes on Amazon, but

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_00]: This is one of those things, you know scalpel skin stapler

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Potable Aqua mylar blanket triangle sterile strips petroleum jelly chest seals tegederm waterproof breathable dressings

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_00]: This one I don't know and I don't own

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Bicycotal tablets

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Bicycotal tablets Jerry care generic docalax. Oh, okay. Well, you know what that is

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So the things that show up in this book in other words, you've got an issue in your family

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_00]: You reach for the preppers medical handbook because whatever the

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Hospitals are packed like they were in co vid or you're in a situation where you can't get to a whatever the situation is

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Right you reach for the preppers medical handbook. You know that the medical cash that you've built

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Contains everything in the book that's over the counter now

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_00]: You can get the things that are not over the counter to now

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_00]: You just have to go to a place like the wellness company Jace medical and you can get those those

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Antibiotics and medicines as well, you know first aid stuff. It's one of those things like I

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't know

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, what's up? Nub

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Lucky garden girl live in chat

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_00]: What you guys like what do you guys call on for your first aid kits?

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you guys do like run of the mill Walmart purchase first aid kits? Do you have a brand of first aid kit that you really like?

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Let me know in chat because the first aid thing with preparedness is always interesting to me, you know

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: It's all for the longest time guys for like probably first five years of my

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Prepping in general I was just stacking those hard plastic first aid kits

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Because I didn't know what I was doing. You know what I mean? I had no idea what he was doing

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: That nub says his first aid kit is scotch

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Is that what you mean?

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Peace meal put it together myself says garden girl. Oh, well, this is yeah

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_00]: This is the resource for you then but you've probably already used it knowing you garden girl

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, the like I said the approach

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_00]: So that no it looks like that now prescribes exclusively to American made medical gear particularly those

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_00]: those

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_00]: liquid medicines made by Johnny Walker in particular I

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Mean, I think that could serve you to some degree that now but you may want to go a little further

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_00]: So I wanted to touch base with you guys on this this is a big deal, you know

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_00]: It's

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_00]: One of the things that I had to learn and I had to learn both of these things

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Simultaneously was there's a right tool for the job. You know, I mean, what's up mad dog?

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_00]: There's a right tool for the job and when you have that tool the jobs way easier like that lesson

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I had to learn I can remember

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, here's a great example. Okay, and this is a humbling situation

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that I should have saved this for the preppers laughs show that we did not long ago about the fails

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_00]: But when it comes to having the right tool for the job

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Every Christmas we cut down a Christmas tree. It's what we do one of my favorite things

[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And when we first started doing this

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_00]: if you guys think I'm

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Making it up when I tell you that when I bought my first home

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_00]: My father-in-law gave me my first hammer if you think I'm making that up

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Here's another story to kind of back that up. I was who I was compared to who I am now who I was at like

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_00]: 1920 compared to who I am now is I

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_00]: mean, it's it's mind-bending

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_00]: It's mind-bending the change you guys are used to hearing from this guy every day

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_00]: And you probably some of you who don't know my backstory are probably like yeah, yeah

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_00]: He's always had his act together with this prepping stuff. I'm not like that. No, man

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't not only have my act together with prepping stuff. I didn't have my act together with

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Physical fitness stuff I didn't have my act together with a lot of stuff

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_00]: It takes time, you know and takes effort, but anyway, I have this cleaver

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And I love this cleaver. I'll never get rid of it

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_00]: I may like be dazzle it somehow and turn it into a Christmas decoration

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's a cleaver

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I bought in Philly next to one of my favorite faux joints in

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_00]: off Washington Boulevard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, right?

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_00]: But why this cleaver is special is

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Because we cut down our tree with those, you know, they give you those beautiful saws when you go down to cut a tree

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_00]: and

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_00]: They work really great and you cut the tree down and like

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Unbelievably quick. So just a fresh blade and a good good hand saw

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Get the tree home we put it in and we realized like oh because me and my wife we were

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_00]: What are we?

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_00]: We're fanatical, you know what I mean? We're absolutely fanatical about the tree

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_00]: We've had trees like Christmas vacation, you know what I mean? We don't have a big house at all

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_00]: we're very small house and

[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_00]: We're fanatical with our trees

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_00]: So I get this thing home and I realized I don't have a saw

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_00]: The trees to the the I cut the tree so that the stump was too

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_00]: long and

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_00]: The trees like bent into the roof

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like oh, I gotta cut the I gotta cut it. It's too tall, baby

[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll take it out back and I take it out back. I had a saw right and the saw was so bad. I

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Was like a rusted old saw was dead

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm sawing and I'm like this isn't working and I had to take off very little

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean? I didn't have to take off a lot. It was a big deal long story short

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm out there with a cleaver because I was a chef. These are the tools that I understood

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm out there with a cleaver and a hammer my hammer

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_00]: and

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm hitting the cleaver

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_00]: with the hammer

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_00]: To cut off the last bit of this tree to get it into the tree stand

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_00]: This is no lie and I still have the cleaver and I look at it

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And I go it is like the penultimate relic of you need the right tool for the right job

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_00]: And as I got older I started accumulating those tools and jobs just become easy

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_00]: You know like I used to look at metal and be like

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_00]: How do I like like not even heating and bending metal but like cutting metal and that kind of stuff

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I used to look at and be like well how I can't do that. That's like out of my wheelhouse

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_00]: And then I remember I was making knives

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_00]: I

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Made a knife for Dave Jones. I put wise put scales on a knife

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_00]: and I remember getting a

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Just a metal saw blade for like a

[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_00]: What do they call the hacksaw?

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And I remember cutting through the metal other like the brass colored

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Studs that we're gonna go through the knife

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Handle you know to attach it

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_00]: And I remember sawing through the metal and just being like it's a what what amazing

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Amazing to me what the right tool can do for the job

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_00]: moral of the story PBN family

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Medicals exactly the same and you've probably been in this position with yourself or with your kid

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_00]: You know like if you've ever been in that situation where they got like a screw a big

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Scrape on the shoulder in the elbow or the knee or something like that and you're in a place and all they got is

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_00]: like

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_00]: cloth or

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Elastic bandages or something like that, you know just the one inch

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_00]: And you're putting like seven elastic bandages over this giant scrape trying to figure that situation out

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_00]: And then you get home and you get into your medical stash and you take the big fat daddy felt

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_00]: fabric bandage

[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Clean the wound put that over the scrape it disappears completely the fabric like

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Those high quality freakin band-aids. I just you don't understand how much I love them

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_00]: They they'll never come off if you don't want them to you know what I mean?

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_00]: They're so good

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_00]: They're so good like your skin will grow over if you're not careful, especially if a little kid

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_00]: But you still got that band they don't take that thing off dude the right tool for the job

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_00]: You know and when you have the opportunity for a doctor to pick out the right tools for the job

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Which is what this list is a PBN family calm

[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Take advantage of it. Okay, like if I don't know where everybody's head is in

[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Chat that nub said National Preparedness Month, you know is days away really it's like a week away

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_00]: First date in medical kits a good topic a good thing to talk about it's a good thing to do

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_00]: You know and then the thing about a medical kit particularly this one and this cash

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_00]: The majority of the stuff in here like it don't have to be doomsday for you to need a spenco bandage

[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_00]: You know it don't have to be doomsday for you to need

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Nitro gloves

[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_00]: It four sips well I use four sips when I go fishing so maybe maybe four sips wouldn't be as common for you

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a good fishing hack though a good pair of locking four sips is phenomenal for taking hooks out of fish now

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, you know all kinds of stuff on here

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_00]: You could wind up using

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Just it with life with the things that happen in life a high quality first-aid kit even just high quality band-aids

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_00]: You know and the things you need to clean and treat those wounds that happen in life

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_00]: You know I got like that

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_00]: absolutely

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Viciously sharp knives. You know what? I mean I still cut myself every so often and

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_00]: You know just got to have a solution for that. That's all

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_00]: So the preppers medical handbook and everything over the counter that goes in it that is mentioned in that book is available at

[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_00]: PBN family comm

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Build your medical cash. It's up there in the nav bar

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Remember PBN family comm is largely our

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Membership only site most things are behind a paywall just is what it is, right? It's how we pay the bills

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Everything else we do is free all that we have five thousand episodes of podcasts are free and there's a ton of free stuff here

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_00]: You can roll up you can get that nuclear war prepared not scared e-book

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_00]: All right on the same website you can go to the newsletter and sign up for a newsletter if you haven't and then you're gonna get my latest book

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Which is the 50 must-read books to survive doomsday, right? It's just like a catalog of excellent books

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_00]: You should buy in hard copy

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_00]: For

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_00]: eventualities, you know what I mean and if you're gonna go through all that you might as well

[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_00]: You might as well take full advantage of the site man. Let's see how much members only content we have

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_00]: We've got to have like 50 pages or something now

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Yep 48

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_00]: 48 pages

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_00]: drills or war

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Do what works you don't need permission that was a fun video to do for the members

[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Bushcraft for preppers where to play that's a very important video

[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_00]: That is a very important video

[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_00]: We have several series over at PBN family calm that I do

[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_00]: One series is bushcraft for preppers and it's just what it sounds like bushcraft skills and concepts that work for preppers

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_00]: and the last one I did July 8th was

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_00]: where to play and

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_00]: That's super important man. It is super important for you to know

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Where to go

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_00]: To practice bushcraft particularly if you're not a guy who lives, you know like on a bunch of acreage

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Because you can get to the point where you like there's only so much I could do in my backyard, dude

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Into its ripcord bag which is a feat unto itself, but just one of those

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_00]: This has been our commitment to the craft of prepping, you know, what can we do? What can we build?

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_00]: What can we write? What can we put out into the world?

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_00]: To help people get more prepared and we knew it was gonna be look like this 10 years ago

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_00]: We knew it was gonna look like this five years ago. We knew

[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Essentially what was gonna happen with COVID from a governance standpoint before that happened. We just

[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, like the whole of COVID

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_00]: the whole of COVID and

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And our response was really

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Fundamentally built by like Dave Jones's background Jay Fergie's background a little bit of a

[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Little bit from Stephen Men King as well and

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we sort of mixed all that stuff up together and fell deep into it and

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Started to develop our plan which became your plan

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_00]: to survive it I

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Mean that's what the COVID cast was the COVID cast was real-time

[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Emergency operation center on a weekly basis touch base see what's up. How many cases?

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_00]: What's going on how the laws are changing how what we are doing?

[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_00]: it was a magic time and

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll probably die

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Being proud of those COVID casts and the information that we put out
