BBM Family, we are about to jump into our Sunday night radio check. I have grabbed the one of the Key locations of comms in my house is an SLNT EMP-proof dry bag. There's a little bit of conversation happening behind the scenes. You may hear some dings. But some key elements of our comms plan are in the SLNT dry bag. For those of you who are unawares, this is EMP-proof technology. While fabric... based emp technology is not my favorite um what i like about the dry bag is it's it's you have the dry bag layer then you have the emp layer within unlike the fabric that can fail over time if the dry bag fails then it's a failed dry bag you know what i mean so that the in other words it isn't going to fail for that reason and uh I like that about it. To me, it's the perfect little bag to store my GMRS base station when it's not in use, my Skycom radio when it's not in use, some other ham radio stuff when it's not in use. It's not huge. I think it's about two liters or something like that, but it's plenty capable for what I need it for. And SL & T' s not the only company doing EMP dry bags either, so that's not something you have to worry about. You can find them elsewhere. I mean, you could probably make one if you really wanted to. But for about three years, something along those lines, this is where mine's rested. A big chunk of my comms gear, particularly the stuff that I'm not using, is in that bag. So, you know, should the sun get an attitude or some country that has the ability to hit us with an EMP, I'll have a bunch of stuff sitting in this dry bag and ready to go. I may have to leave my house. I have a small... Uh-oh, sounds like people are tuning in already. Now, tonight's comms group's very different. because I'm not leading it up, so that's pretty nice. Mike from Skycom PTT, the man behind the radios, reached out and said, you want to run? He asked if he could run tonight, and I said, sure, man, let's do it. That sounds fun. Matter of fact, I got three minutes. I'm going to cut that off and move that around a little bit. So for those of you who don't know what it is we're doing, we do these radio checks every Sunday. And these radio checks are an opportunity for us all to get our hands on radios, get radios in hand. And work on this POC technology. Which I'm really bought in on. I think it's... I think it's a serious... I think it's a serious alternative communications method. One of the biggest reasons is because... You know, it kind of... Does what it does without a whole lot of thought. Without a whole lot of training. Without a whole lot of thought. Without a whole lot of understanding of radios and radio frequencies. And I think. While people will get on you about it being perfect or not being perfect. Or being hard to understand. Or not hard to understand, I'm sorry. It being not the perfect solution because there's ways that it might not work out for you. To me, your alternate should be easy. You know what I mean? That's the way I look at it. It should be kind of easy. The long and short of it, PBN Family, was I talk to a lot of people every week and I want people to be able to say, I need to get into this emergency comms thing. I need a solution. And I really look at these radios as that solution. So now we're going to navigate to. To our National PNRN National Radio Talk Group. Boom. National Radio Network Emergency Net on the PNRN National Talk Group. Here's our National Talk Group. This is not an emergency. This is a scheduled net for the Preppers National Radio Network. We are calling this net for equipment checks and training. This is a directed net. I will call for check-ins, give your name, your state, and any information you wish to share with the net. I will confirm your check-in and move on to the next contact. D-TOM 3, Blue Ridge Mountain, Virginia. Copy, Larry. We appreciate you checking in tonight. I hope you're having a good evening. This is Susan in Tennessee. Copy, Susan. Thank you for checking in. So you're hearing people doing their simple check-ins. David Jones, the NBC guy in Northern Virginia. Copy, David. Darren from Waynesville, Carolina. Copy, Darren. Hope you all have a good trip, and thank you for checking in. All right, all right, shush. Dog's going nuts. Copy, Dustin in Arizona. Hope you're having a good evening. Thank you for checking in. Steantropic Commander from Richmond, Virginia. We have a beautiful night here in Richmond. Fall night, Halloween lights on. Thanks for commanding the check-in tonight, Mike. You're welcome. Thank you for checking in, and I appreciate the opportunity. So at this point, we have the check-in sort of in full effect. And what will happen now is people will continue to check in. There's Chin. Have a great day, and don't let your stuff out of sight. So this is what this is all about, folks. The breaker of the banksters is with us right now. He just checked in. It's a beautiful thing, folks. Do you know what I mean? It really is. Here's Alyssa. Copy of Lisa thank you for checking in and hope you're having a good evening. Typically I write these names and numbers down as we go but they're so fast tonight and I I think doing the show listening to the radio check and writing the the names down is a little too much so we are look we're we're three minutes in right We're three minutes into this thing, folks. And it's pretty much over. I'd say we're probably either over or very close to being over. Okay, nothing heard. Uh, the next Radio Net check-in will be next Sunday, November the 1st, 2026, at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central. My name is Mike. I'm going to close the net and return the talk group back to normal use. Thanks to all who participated in the net tonight. And this is Mike, and I'm clear. And that's it, folks. That's it. Now, it may not seem like a lot. You know, that may not seem like something all that special to you. I don't know how you feel about it, right? But this is what I do know. Right now, I'm sitting on my front porch because my little dog was giving me hell. I don't know why. My little French bulldog micro pit mix. That somebody gave up on. I mean, this dog is... One of the coolest little creatures you've ever seen. You know what I mean? And I... Like, if you. If it was me... If she was our only dog... Like, she would really be the ultimate co-pilot. She's part of the pack now, but. But she. Sometimes she gets a little whiny. So I wanted to come out here to do that. But what's really interesting about sitting out here doing this with you tonight is... It feels like a situation where I'd be sitting out here on this radio net trying to figure out why there are no cars on the highway. Trying to figure out why my power's been out for, you know, four days and we're not hearing anything from power companies. On this thing talking about what's happening in different parts of the nation and what kind of intel we can get. these PacLink radios will work even if some cell towers are not working even if some cell networks rather providers are not working and even some cell towers if all cell network is down across the country then your PacLink radio is not going to work if you like this guys if you're into this and you want to be a part of this and trust me I want you to be a part of this Because I want you to have an option where you can just turn the radio on and go, Hey, there's a problem here and we're not sure what's going on. Is there anyone else in the area? Is anyone else with information? Or, you know, our cell phones have been down. Our provider got hacked. We can't communicate and we want to know what's going on out there in the world. Things have gotten crazy. You can use your POC link radio for that. You simply go to SkycomPTT.com. And shop their radios. They're all POC capable. Last I checked. I don't know if they added new inventory. In the last month or so. Use the affiliate code PBN. And in all transparency. You buy a radio I get 20 bucks. That's how it works. This whole operation was set up by Chin. So we could one hand wash the other. I promote Skycom. They put a little money in our pockets. Here at PBN. And you know. I'll tell you what. In the last... Since Prepper Camp, I got my radio at Prepper Camp. Since Prepper Camp, I've used my emergency radio more than any other radio I've ever used in my whole life. That's the proof in the pudding. You know what I mean? So, check out SkycomPTT.com. Get yourself a POC radio. Even if you just get the Geo Plus, um... It's a $ 199 capable radio. They got a lot of other cool radios with a lot of other cool features, but that one right there will get you linked into our group on Sundays. Not only that, you could buy one for you and your wife. Now you guys could pop back and forth on your own net, right? Mike, who just conducted the radio comms check-in, he was talking to me the other day, and he said, you know, me and the wife don't even talk on the cell phone anymore. There's no point. Why call each other? You know what I mean? We POC each other back and forth. Boom. And I thought about that and I said, you know, that's kind of cool. One of the reasons they do that is because your cell phones are not encrypted, but your POC radio transmissions are. So anyhow, I don't want to go into sales stuff. I wanted you to witness it. I wanted you to see what the radio check was all about. I want you to know how much better this will be with you. You know what I mean? Every one of you out there listening that gets a radio and joins these radio checks, we can get a big bunch of people on here, man, from all over the country and really have something cool every Sunday night. And more importantly than every Sunday night, when disaster occurs, when an emergency occurs, right? Thank you guys so much for everything. If this. If this got you excited, then just, like I said, go to Skycom, PTT, shop some of their great radios. Explore this POC technology because it's really cool stuff. All right? I'll talk to you soon.
