My Terrifying AI Nightmare

[00:00:28] PBN Family, today's show is not a PBN News. Today's show is a reminiscence of a, or a reflection on, I should say, a dream that I had last night. A terrifying dream. Highly detailed, strangely epic. A dream that seemed to take the entire night to play out. Long, you know what I mean? Just a long dream.

[00:00:58] And, what was most interesting about it was how this dream was on topic. The whole time, you know, dreams often morph in and out and so on.

[00:01:12] Fever dream-esque, you know, jumping from one thing to the other. There was a bit of that.

[00:01:17] But what was most insane about this dream was its sort of epic nature. And how it just carried on.

[00:01:27] It carried on in this direction. And the direction was very clear. It was all built around a long, terrifying AI takeover.

[00:01:41] And I have to say, that over the last, I don't know, it's been a while since I really concerned myself with AI and the problems that could come from it.

[00:01:55] Really, it's been quite some time. I haven't spent a lot of time sitting around thinking about it.

[00:02:04] But I want to tell you about it. And I have a page of notes here that I took when I woke up.

[00:02:11] You know, if you're going to offer up a dream to someone, then you better take notes early on.

[00:02:20] Because, you know, it's ephemeral. It starts to disappear the moment you wake up.

[00:02:25] But it all started out in a mall of all places.

[00:02:29] And I was there with a woman who was seemingly having a good time sort of with some horseplay in the mall.

[00:02:39] You know, hiding in between racks and doing those kinds of things.

[00:02:43] And we were running around almost like children.

[00:02:47] But we knew that at the back of this mall, there was a...

[00:02:51] There was something that we had to do.

[00:02:54] You know, it was essentially like an update.

[00:02:58] And we were eventually wrangled by mall staff and taken to execute on this update.

[00:03:03] Right?

[00:03:07] The place where we had to do the update, we never really went into.

[00:03:11] I never really saw it.

[00:03:12] But it was kind of a felt sense that it took place.

[00:03:18] And what happened that day with that update, whatever it was, fundamentally changed everything.

[00:03:25] Everything.

[00:03:30] And leaving the mall while we were in a car, this person now was gone from the dream.

[00:03:35] And it was more my collective family.

[00:03:39] And in the dream, my wife was lamenting about how the AI security and law enforcement forces take five minutes to kill you.

[00:03:52] How they sort of take their time killing you.

[00:03:56] And she was scared of that.

[00:03:59] Because at this point, I don't know if it was a flash forward in the dream or whatever it was.

[00:04:03] But at this point, it was very clear that, you know, this had gone bad.

[00:04:10] This had gone bad.

[00:04:11] And we were watching sort of, we may have been weeks or months beyond that update that changed everything.

[00:04:19] And we were watching the effects.

[00:04:21] In the car.

[00:04:22] Driving in a car as a family.

[00:04:23] Talking.

[00:04:24] Right?

[00:04:27] And she mentioned that fact.

[00:04:29] About how they sort of take their time to kill you.

[00:04:31] Because they understand, you know, all about your biology.

[00:04:35] Now what would be the onus for them killing you?

[00:04:37] We weren't sure.

[00:04:38] But it definitely felt like there was a level of resistance.

[00:04:44] It definitely felt like there were people being killed.

[00:04:47] That shouldn't be being killed.

[00:04:48] By sort of an AI force.

[00:04:51] Right?

[00:04:53] We watched from the driver's seat and the passenger seat of the car and the children in the back.

[00:05:00] We watched to our left.

[00:05:02] So we're driving down a road.

[00:05:03] And to our left, if you can envision it.

[00:05:06] There's cloud cover on the horizon.

[00:05:09] Right?

[00:05:10] And it's blocking the sun.

[00:05:13] And then all of a sudden, almost like a slow fan was coursing through the clouds.

[00:05:19] The clouds began to turn and spiral away from the sun.

[00:05:26] As if like a swarm of drones or some sort of mechanical thing was maneuvering the clouds.

[00:05:35] Was affecting the clouds and moving them out of the way of the sun to give us sunlight.

[00:05:41] And we said, you know, the AI is working.

[00:05:45] The AI is managing the temperature of the planet.

[00:05:47] And also managing sort of our daily sunlight requirements.

[00:05:52] It's doing its job up there.

[00:05:55] But it was just crazy to watch the clouds churn.

[00:05:59] Sort of like a blade going through them.

[00:06:01] Like a fan blade.

[00:06:02] And blowing the clouds out of the way of the sun to give us a sunny day.

[00:06:07] Which was weird because it wasn't malevolent.

[00:06:09] But it was scary because it was so powerful.

[00:06:11] Godlike.

[00:06:15] Almost immediately after that, we saw two large ballistic missiles.

[00:06:21] Course through the air behind the car.

[00:06:24] Right?

[00:06:24] Going to another place on the planet.

[00:06:27] And it was pretty clear that these were nuclear weapons.

[00:06:30] And it was pretty clear that these were meant to do the opposite.

[00:06:36] Right?

[00:06:37] Like at a different part in the world, these were meant to do the opposite.

[00:06:40] They were meant to blot out the sun or something even worse.

[00:06:48] We're driving, driving, driving.

[00:06:51] And there was something else that happened.

[00:06:54] But I can't remember it.

[00:06:55] And it was something in the sky.

[00:06:56] Plane.

[00:06:56] Drone.

[00:06:58] And it was more of this sort of theatrics of AI.

[00:07:02] Right?

[00:07:02] The artificial intelligence is now in control of numerous systems that govern our daily life and our planet.

[00:07:07] Not our car, funny enough.

[00:07:09] But.

[00:07:10] And we're watching it all happen.

[00:07:14] And it became very clear that we were in a vehicle and we were in part of a resistance movement that was in route to take down data centers.

[00:07:24] Right?

[00:07:25] Right?

[00:07:25] So like in order to end this tyrannical rule of AI, we had to take down the data centers.

[00:07:34] And we were somehow seeing schematics of a nearby data center and how to enter it and how to attack it.

[00:07:42] And these things were highlighted in a different color than the map.

[00:07:45] You know, vents and the like.

[00:07:49] And the schematics of the data centers were sort of at the key.

[00:07:53] And it became clear that we had to undo what happened with the update.

[00:07:57] Whatever that update was.

[00:07:59] Whatever that update did.

[00:08:01] That the resistance goal was to undo what had been done.

[00:08:05] To walk back this sort of situation.

[00:08:11] And these data centers, they were protected by a couple different kinds of security.

[00:08:21] The first was these sort of super robots.

[00:08:25] These sort of AIs that could take gunfire.

[00:08:28] And you only saw them in sort of a cinematic reveal in the dream.

[00:08:33] So sort of like in a cinematic reveal, you see this blue robotic headed white sort of white bodied thing land with power, you know, crushing the ground beneath it.

[00:08:45] And then gunfire hitting it in the head and face and just, you know, kind of impervious.

[00:08:53] And there were also mimics.

[00:08:55] There were these weird mimics that were not invulnerable.

[00:08:59] They were almost like clones of you.

[00:09:01] And your clone of you was much stronger and superior in many ways.

[00:09:05] And there were a lot of scenes of people fighting these mimics off to try to complete one mission one way or another.

[00:09:15] You know what I mean?

[00:09:16] Like doing their best to survive the attack of themselves.

[00:09:21] Their own sort of mimic that was more powerful.

[00:09:26] And that part of the dream got real weird.

[00:09:29] But there was a lot of comms stuff.

[00:09:31] There was a lot of frequency stuff.

[00:09:33] There was a lot of explosives in that part of the dream.

[00:09:36] The setting of explosives.

[00:09:37] You know what I mean?

[00:09:38] A lot of.

[00:09:39] And all of those different milestones were met by various mimics or monsters created by AI.

[00:09:48] Like the AI physical security.

[00:09:52] And the whole thing culminated in.

[00:09:55] You know how dreams sort of like.

[00:09:58] Like watercolors that are too watery.

[00:10:00] Like dilute and lose color.

[00:10:02] And then all of a sudden like it's something that you were once in a terrifying sort of situation.

[00:10:08] And all of a sudden you're in just a home.

[00:10:13] And we're in a home.

[00:10:15] And my father is in that home.

[00:10:19] And he's there and he's looking for his coat to leave.

[00:10:24] And my wife's there.

[00:10:27] We're in Italy.

[00:10:28] Italy.

[00:10:29] It's not my house.

[00:10:30] It's not our house.

[00:10:31] You know what I mean?

[00:10:31] But we're in a home in Italy.

[00:10:34] And my son lives there for some reason.

[00:10:36] And he's sort of.

[00:10:38] You know.

[00:10:38] Spending time there.

[00:10:41] You know.

[00:10:42] And there's like this pain in my heart because of that.

[00:10:45] Not in a bad way.

[00:10:46] But just in a parent.

[00:10:48] You know what I mean?

[00:10:48] Kids going away.

[00:10:50] That kind of thing.

[00:10:52] But he lives there.

[00:10:54] You know.

[00:10:54] And the longer we spend in that house.

[00:10:57] The more we start to see it sort of turn into.

[00:11:01] Almost like a.

[00:11:03] Sort of Mediterranean home.

[00:11:05] You know.

[00:11:06] With wood and plaster walls.

[00:11:09] And fish on the walls.

[00:11:11] And there's a giant crab leg off the sink.

[00:11:13] And I remarked at one point.

[00:11:14] You know.

[00:11:14] Carter must love that.

[00:11:15] He's enjoying his time here.

[00:11:18] You know.

[00:11:21] And it was just interesting.

[00:11:23] You know.

[00:11:23] I don't know if.

[00:11:24] In my subconscious mind.

[00:11:26] Because I have Italian family.

[00:11:30] That the sort of answer.

[00:11:33] You know.

[00:11:34] My brain's.

[00:11:36] Desire to stop the nightmare.

[00:11:39] Took me to an Italian villa on the Mediterranean.

[00:11:44] Which in my mind.

[00:11:46] Is a slower life.

[00:11:49] Right?

[00:11:51] It's like.

[00:11:52] Give me.

[00:11:53] Some sort of.

[00:11:56] You know.

[00:11:57] Give me some sort of place.

[00:11:58] Where I can run from this nightmare.

[00:12:01] Because it was all very real.

[00:12:03] There was very real death in it.

[00:12:04] And gore.

[00:12:05] And you know.

[00:12:06] The whole thing.

[00:12:06] Like fighting these things.

[00:12:08] Was no picnic.

[00:12:10] You know.

[00:12:10] And.

[00:12:13] It was very weird.

[00:12:14] That my.

[00:12:15] My subconscious.

[00:12:16] Guided me out of that nightmare.

[00:12:18] Into this.

[00:12:18] Italian villa on the Mediterranean.

[00:12:20] Where my son was spending time.

[00:12:22] My oldest son.

[00:12:23] Not my youngest.

[00:12:24] But my oldest son.

[00:12:27] And.

[00:12:28] Hearkening.

[00:12:29] And.

[00:12:29] And slowly the dream.

[00:12:30] Mutated into this sort of slower.

[00:12:33] Fishing village.

[00:12:34] Italian lifestyle.

[00:12:36] As.

[00:12:38] The answer.

[00:12:39] As the remedy.

[00:12:41] To.

[00:12:43] What we were looking at before.

[00:12:46] Which was.

[00:12:47] The.

[00:12:48] Total takeover of.

[00:12:49] The world.

[00:12:50] By artificial intelligence.

[00:12:55] Yeah.

[00:12:55] All it is.

[00:12:56] Is a dream.

[00:12:58] That's it.

[00:12:59] And then I woke up.

[00:13:01] There was a dream.

[00:13:03] But it was one of the more epic dreams.

[00:13:05] I've had in a very long time.

[00:13:06] It was easily the weirdest dream.

[00:13:08] I've had all year.

[00:13:09] It was probably one of the longest.

[00:13:11] And most.

[00:13:13] Focused dreams I've had.

[00:13:14] In about five or ten years.

[00:13:17] I'm not saying it's prophetic.

[00:13:18] Or anything like that.

[00:13:19] I'm just.

[00:13:21] Sharing a very.

[00:13:23] Interesting dream.

[00:13:24] I had this morning.

[00:13:28] And you know.

[00:13:29] Some of the weirdest things about it.

[00:13:30] Are I haven't been thinking about.

[00:13:31] Artificial intelligence.

[00:13:33] Or the threats therein.

[00:13:34] Whatsoever.

[00:13:37] It just sort of popped up.

[00:13:39] I ate a bunch of pistachios.

[00:13:41] Last night.

[00:13:42] Before bed.

[00:13:44] Watched Scooby Doo outside.

[00:13:46] By the fire.

[00:13:48] And.

[00:13:49] Pretty much called it a day.

[00:13:50] After that.

[00:13:53] And was visited.

[00:13:55] By.

[00:13:56] That dream.

[00:13:58] Of all things.

[00:14:01] I thought I'd share it with you.
