[00:02:07] So listen I
[00:02:10] Have been on prepper fitness
[00:02:14] Our membership side has an entire collection of videos titled prepper fit and health
[00:02:22] I've been a strong advocate for fitness in the prepping community even when it used to be
[00:02:28] You just get lambasted for it. You know that nobody wanted to hear it. It's changed a lot. It's changed a lot
[00:02:35] Fitness is tough requires consistency. That's where people suffer
[00:02:39] You know if you can get your head out of the idea that fitness is this thing
[00:02:43] You're gonna do for six months to look good for this event or to to you know
[00:02:48] Whatever if you can build into you know
[00:02:51] I always talk about prepping as a lifestyle if you can build fitness into your everyday life and
[00:02:57] Make it not about
[00:02:59] Not about crushing the weight seven days a week
[00:03:02] But about being physically active and and and appreciating your cardiovascular health your endurance and your strength then
[00:03:11] Just becomes a part of life
[00:03:14] You know, I
[00:03:15] Am never really that impressed by the guy who is there's nothing wrong with it
[00:03:20] Like I love to see strong people when I go to the gym. I love to see strong people walking around the gym
[00:03:26] I just love it. I love strong Americans healthy Americans. I just it's just one of those things
[00:03:32] you know to me it's like
[00:03:34] You look at the population as a whole and you know that D
[00:03:37] This segment of the population exists in there and it's good. It's a good feeling
[00:03:40] You want to see young strong men in your country?
[00:03:42] You know what I mean? However, the people who really impressed me are the guys who have been
[00:03:51] You know physically active physically fit dominating for
[00:03:55] You know 30 years 40 years, right people were in their 50s
[00:04:01] People who are in their 40s who have been fit since forever
[00:04:06] You know what? I mean, they didn't or maybe they took a
[00:04:10] Short break and then hop back on the horse. Whatever
[00:04:13] To me the most important thing and the most impressive thing when it comes to physical fitness
[00:04:18] It's not how much weight you can lift and not how far you can run
[00:04:21] But it's about how long you can do those things in your life
[00:04:27] Like what your your not your necessary not your today endurance, but your you know your lifetime endurance of
[00:04:35] Physical fitness that's really what impresses me. It's like that with everything too, you know
[00:04:42] You are what you do every day
[00:04:43] That's why that quote exists in my life
[00:04:46] You are what you do every day because I look at people that way
[00:04:49] You know, I try to get a read on a person
[00:04:52] I want to hear what what it is they do all the time and have been doing over for decades
[00:04:56] Because that lets me know what you're really all about that lets you know what a person is really good at
[00:05:01] What they're really into?
[00:05:03] No matter what they say that lets you know what they're into, you know, like it's one
[00:05:13] Like comic books, you know what I mean
[00:05:16] I've
[00:05:17] Did I read comic books as a kid and I took a long break off of comic books and I got back back into
[00:05:23] reading comic books
[00:05:24] ten years ago, maybe something like that and
[00:05:27] You get to a point where it's like
[00:05:30] Okay, so
[00:05:33] You're a comic book guy
[00:05:35] Not because you say you're like I don't go out in the streets and be like I read comics man
[00:05:39] I'm one of them. You know what I mean? You just it's something that you do. You are what you do every day
[00:05:44] I don't read comics every day, but you know
[00:05:46] Often many times a week
[00:05:48] So it you know, it's just part of that deal. Anyway
[00:05:51] the Murph
[00:05:54] Try it just try it just try it. It's hard
[00:05:59] Some of you will be able to finish some of you won't just try it
[00:06:05] I read to you this story about the Murph didn't I pretty sure I did
[00:06:09] He's part of the lone survivor group if you saw the lone survivor movie, if you know Marcus Luttrell
[00:06:15] You know
[00:06:17] It's it's no joke
[00:06:20] Lieutenant Murphy was a was a man who I
[00:06:24] Mean as far as I know from reading this story. I didn't ever actually see the lone survivor movie
[00:06:29] But
[00:06:30] As far as reading about the accounts, he's a guy who had to put a call
[00:06:34] He had a job to do and his job was to put a call in
[00:06:38] for somebody to come rescue his team who had been ambushed in the mountains of Afghanistan and
[00:06:44] It cost him everything
[00:06:46] You know while he was putting the call through he was getting shot
[00:06:48] He basically left cover the cover that him and his you know
[00:06:53] Team were under incredible fire and he left the cover to get to a higher ground
[00:06:58] To put that call out and you know fundamentally the call went through but it cost him his life
[00:07:06] You know, it's a valiant thing
[00:07:09] So the Murph is a way to honor
[00:07:12] His sacrifice and you know really to sac you know all the bravery of
[00:07:17] wartime right the and fundamentally like the the idea of your life
[00:07:23] putting your life
[00:07:27] Behind the lives of others
[00:07:29] Which is wild. Yeah, I mean it's always something commendable
[00:07:33] so
[00:07:36] The Murph is a fitness challenge
[00:07:39] and it exists because
[00:07:42] Sometimes to honor things like that suffering is is a great way to do it. You know what I mean?
[00:07:51] Everybody's I'm not doing it
[00:07:53] So the Murph is straightforward man you run and it's you're supposed to do on Memorial Day
[00:08:00] You run a mile
[00:08:03] Then you do 100 pull-ups 200 push-ups 300 squats
[00:08:08] And then you run another mile and you're supposed to do it all with the body armor on or a 20 pound weighted vest
[00:08:17] I did the Murph for the first time last year. I didn't you do the vest I
[00:08:21] I
[00:08:22] Don't have a weighted vest and I'm not running through my neighborhood body armor on
[00:08:28] So that is what it is
[00:08:29] I might get crazy over the weekend and go to Walmart and buy a weighted vest real quick and get you know
[00:08:36] Wild about it who knows because I did it last year, and it was kind of tough
[00:08:41] But I've completed it so it's probably time to step the game up a little
[00:08:45] So
[00:08:46] Then again, I could just get a belt for well, but that wouldn't help with the push-ups anyway
[00:08:52] Sounds like a lot. Okay. I want to talk to you about it real quick
[00:08:55] I might have already had this conversation with you, but whatever to execute on the Murph
[00:09:02] First of all, you should be able to run a mile if you can't run a mile start running
[00:09:05] So the first mile no big deal right finish your one mile run
[00:09:09] You might be a little out of breath who knows take you know
[00:09:12] Take a short break drink some water and then it's time to get down to the calisthenic
[00:09:17] All right, and what I love about the Murph for people who don't do work out a lot is
[00:09:22] Even if you don't complete it you're gonna do more of these exercises probably than you've ever done in one time
[00:09:31] So you will at least have that to sit on right you'll have that to sit on and say well
[00:09:35] I know I can do x y and z
[00:09:38] The way I did it was I think I did something like five pull-ups at a time
[00:09:43] I pulled a sheet of paper out and I kept track of it with the
[00:09:48] You know tallies so I did five pull-ups at a time
[00:09:53] Right, that's 20 sets. I did I think I did 10 push-ups at a time
[00:10:01] 20 sets
[00:10:03] And I knocked the squats out early. I think I did like 20 squats at a time
[00:10:07] So I was done squats before I was done the squats
[00:10:10] So I was done squats before I was done the other two
[00:10:14] And then that's what I did. I did my five pull-ups 10 push-ups right after did my squats
[00:10:21] And you know kept doing that round robin
[00:10:24] Until I needed breaks, you know, i'm sure probably around the 60 70 mark
[00:10:29] I was taking more time between sets
[00:10:32] You know what I mean?
[00:10:33] And that's just what you do and you work through it
[00:10:37] And you take your time if you can't do any more pull-ups you take a break
[00:10:41] You know take a couple minutes few minutes five minutes ten, whatever it is and then you finish and you just finish
[00:10:48] You can get through 100 push pull-ups. I'm telling you right now, you know
[00:10:52] For the most part for most of you out there listening
[00:10:55] You might be doing two at a time
[00:10:57] You know, but remember if you do two at a time, you only got to do that 50 times
[00:11:03] It sounds crazy. Hey
[00:11:06] Get the world of ready on kindle free leave a review and
[00:11:13] Try the murph, okay try the murph one run one mile 100 pull-ups 200 push-ups and uh
[00:11:22] 200 or 300 squats
[00:11:25] Oh, and then you've polished it all off with another mile run at the end. Okay
[00:11:30] You could do it
[00:11:31] And even if you fail
[00:11:33] You at least put that out there on memorial day. You at least put that effort in ye let you at least suffered
[00:11:38] For the men who gave everything right?
[00:11:41] All right
[00:11:42] Speaking of warfare
[00:11:45] Let's get into one threat one solution. This one's a doozy
[00:12:05] So a couple years ago carl b here on the prepper broadcasting network
[00:12:11] Said these
[00:12:13] Railway attacks or these railway incidences look a lot like attacks these fires and in
[00:12:19] Chemical plants and food plants and this plants and that plants look like attacks
[00:12:24] And we were so close. I mean
[00:12:27] If I could have carl be on staff rather than have him be just a generous
[00:12:32] Podcaster author who has a full-time job and a family to raise
[00:12:37] We would have created a full-scale documentary on these
[00:12:40] these fires and such
[00:12:42] And you know, maybe one day the prepper broadcasting network can get big enough where I can put hosts
[00:12:48] on
[00:12:50] Salary, it's hard to even imagine but you never know
[00:12:53] and uh
[00:12:55] And then we do things like that because we'll do it. We would do things you couldn't even believe you know you do
[00:13:01] I mean
[00:13:03] I don't talk I try to be humble. You know what? I mean, and I think i'm pretty humble
[00:13:07] Maybe not maybe you're laughing at that
[00:13:09] Um
[00:13:11] But there's just really you
[00:13:14] You don't really understand how deranged I am because I I can only access so much of it
[00:13:22] But the things that we would do if we could get to the point where we were sustaining
[00:13:27] With multiple hosts on full-time. It would be crazy
[00:13:33] Because it's not even just about me. You know what? I mean
[00:13:36] I don't even know you don't even know they don't even know what the hosts are really capable of
[00:13:42] You know what once you take the day job out of the picture
[00:13:46] And let the host off the leash
[00:13:49] dude
[00:13:50] it's
[00:13:51] You just have no idea what you're going to unleash and it's a beautiful thing
[00:13:55] Um, so anyway, we talked about this a couple years ago. We talked about these weird things happening
[00:14:00] we've seen the barge situation
[00:14:02] And
[00:14:03] All of these things started to ring true as like
[00:14:07] Something's happening. Then we have the pro-palestinian rioters and the anti-police rioters all attacking
[00:14:13] Public places and saying they're going to shut down economies and all that kind of stuff
[00:14:18] Remember police city?
[00:14:23] This one threat one solution is brought to you by the gray man briefing
[00:14:28] Okay, national security brief summary since march
[00:14:32] This is wild these these are wild things
[00:14:36] Since march jordanians chinese and unidentified suspected terrorists have attempted to breach
[00:14:43] the white house
[00:14:45] Quantico
[00:14:46] An fbi field office
[00:14:48] And two additional u.s. Military installations as the government offers no comment to incidents
[00:14:57] You remember a lot of these stories. I'm sure you remember the guy running into the barricades at quantico
[00:15:02] You remember the guy just a few days ago running into the white house fence. I think he died
[00:15:08] Um
[00:15:09] the
[00:15:11] I really wrap I I really wonder
[00:15:16] Two days after the attempted quantico breach a person crashed into the white house gates and died
[00:15:22] The mainstream media is not reporting or following up on these cases
[00:15:25] The government is quiet on the targeted action at quantico
[00:15:29] Which some claim may be an attempted terror attack by border crossing illegal alien from the middle east
[00:15:34] Definitely how when does a nation decide?
[00:15:44] We're under attack from within and the punishments for these things have to be uh greater
[00:15:51] What do you think?
[00:15:54] Will a country ever admit that does it matter if a country ever admits that?
[00:15:58] Huh?
[00:15:59] Think about it
[00:16:01] I mean
[00:16:05] Imagine fighting a war
[00:16:09] But you didn't realize you were fighting a war. Do you think you win that war?
[00:16:14] Imagine fighting a war
[00:16:19] But you didn't realize you were in that war. Do you think you would win that war pbn family?
[00:16:24] This segment is called one threat one solution, okay
[00:16:28] This is why on our our routines our pbn routines
[00:16:32] We do dry fire practice. We do physical fitness
[00:16:35] Why?
[00:16:37] Because it may never happen
[00:16:39] There may never be a president that stands before the television and says
[00:16:44] Uh
[00:16:45] We're being attacked and destroyed from within
[00:16:49] And we all need to be vigilant or we need to take these actions or we need to increase severity of punishments may never happen
[00:16:56] It just may never happen things like this may continue to increase increase increasing
[00:17:00] What do you think's gonna happen if donald trump gets elected? What do you think's gonna happen if donald trump doesn't get?
[00:17:06] uh indicted, I mean, uh
[00:17:08] If the jury if if donald trump skates through this political
[00:17:13] I mean this well, it is a political theater in the courts
[00:17:17] without incident
[00:17:19] What do you think's gonna happen?
[00:17:21] More or less of of people attacking major government installations
[00:17:28] So the solution to you pbn family is
[00:17:31] It's time to get yourself
[00:17:34] at least
[00:17:36] Brutally trained with your firearms and in some form of good physical health
[00:17:44] Okay
[00:17:46] I do think that there will be a rise in militias all over this country. I think that's gonna happen
[00:17:52] So what I want you to do is just be prepared to join the ranks should the time come
[00:17:59] Follow me
[00:18:01] Be be someone who can join the ranks of your local militia and do some shooting and do some running and do some communicating
[00:18:08] Because I don't know what's coming
[00:18:12] My members a couple days ago, I released a video about
[00:18:19] um october 7th
[00:18:22] And how my thinking about something like october 7th happening here has evolved so dramatically in eight months
[00:18:29] So dramatically so
[00:18:34] You know
[00:18:35] Get prepared be effective be effective with your firearm
[00:18:39] Be capable of running and gunning
[00:18:42] And if you're not sure if you can run and gun or if you think you're telling yourself stories that you can run and gun
[00:18:47] Go play paintball this weekend
[00:18:49] Go play paintball this weekend for about four hours and you'll know
[00:18:53] You'll know right off the bat
[00:18:55] Am I ready?
[00:18:57] To fight jordanian terrorists coming in from the southern border or not
[00:19:02] Now most of you probably say not but it is what it is. Okay
[00:19:08] I wanted to talk today
[00:19:10] In this segment about the shtf chef. I don't feel like running the uh, well, maybe I should let's run. Let's run
[00:19:15] It's only 18 seconds
[00:19:18] Now that is a delicious cut
[00:19:22] of long pork
[00:19:34] Shtf chef. I wanted to talk to you about a prepper food staple and the best way to prepare it in my opinion
[00:19:40] Is to put it in your home and then
[00:19:44] Long-term food storage bucketed up at home easy to do something you should be doing you can bucket up lentils
[00:19:53] lentils are a
[00:19:56] They are a legume but they have protein in them
[00:20:00] And it's not insignificant
[00:20:03] They're very nutritious little they are legume right aren't those legumes? I think they are
[00:20:11] The thing about the lentil is you know, you cook beans you got to have some time to cook beans
[00:20:15] You got to soak beans overnight. You got to do you got to cook them for a long, you know, I mean
[00:20:20] the lentil
[00:20:22] Can be cooked for dinner
[00:20:24] If you got 20 minutes
[00:20:26] You know what I mean?
[00:20:28] That's what stands out about them
[00:20:30] uh red lentils
[00:20:32] black lentils
[00:20:33] Golden lentils they got all kinds of stuff
[00:20:37] Does matter to me I don't really necessarily have one favorite or another
[00:20:42] Finely diced onion finely diced onion
[00:20:49] into olive oil on a medium low heat
[00:20:52] until the onion softens
[00:20:55] a tablespoon
[00:20:57] Of golden curry powder
[00:21:00] briefly just until it gets fragrant
[00:21:03] A cup or two of lentils
[00:21:06] Okay, cup or two of lentils
[00:21:10] cover with chicken stock chicken broth beef stock beef or whatever you want and
[00:21:16] Cook until the lentils are tender
[00:21:19] Curried lentils
[00:21:21] Are an amazing side dish for anything
[00:21:24] You take curry lentils you chill them
[00:21:27] Right take curry lentils eat them for dinner. You have leftovers. You chill them
[00:21:32] You toss that curry lentil with
[00:21:35] Cucumbers fresh tomatoes some mint
[00:21:38] uh
[00:21:39] What else maybe some sliced radish some of those english peas whatever it is
[00:21:44] fresh veggies
[00:21:46] Maybe an arugula
[00:21:48] And you're gonna have a cold salad of of curry lentils. That's awesome, too
[00:21:53] Awesome, maybe a little hard-boiled egg in there
[00:21:56] delicious, okay
[00:21:58] so
[00:21:59] Get your lentils right pbn family
[00:22:02] You should know how to cook the things that you store am I right? Okay?
