[00:00:04] You're listening to PBN
[00:00:09] Your path back to stability here
[00:00:32] PBN Daily News, what is up folks? James Walton here with you the intrepid commander of these
[00:00:39] Prepper Broadcasting Network starships. I still have the
[00:00:45] You know the border the border cough de jour
[00:00:50] in my chest
[00:00:52] The border cold du jour has made its way into my chest and sore throat in the whole nine yard
[00:00:58] I thought I was through with it
[00:01:00] About three days ago, and then she reeled up on me
[00:01:04] Worked out a little too hard. I didn't didn't pan out the way I thought but
[00:01:10] Neither here nor there it is the situation in which we live welcome in PBN family
[00:01:17] Get yourself a membership, huh? If you're not part of the squad yet
[00:01:22] It's time. It's time to go to PBN family dot com and sign up
[00:01:27] So the way you know it's that weird jugs to position of a world where
[00:01:31] Probably you looking through your pantry and looking out your window just like me you're in a situation
[00:01:36] Where it's like man things are things are really good
[00:01:39] And then you accidentally bring up the news
[00:01:43] Right the news has the potential to just devastate you each and every day
[00:01:48] And I think by about 10 11 o'clock a.m. Eastern Time
[00:01:52] a
[00:01:53] Large a large swath of the population of the United States of America is completely
[00:01:59] hollowed out
[00:02:01] By their reality or at least that the reality of what's fed to them by the news
[00:02:07] It's so weird
[00:02:09] To be in a position where we used to talk about the threats
[00:02:14] Right our job as as prepper podcasters was to bring to the forefront certain threats and why you should prepare for them
[00:02:22] This is what we did for a very long time
[00:02:25] and
[00:02:26] Then the wild thing that happened is after 2020 the news
[00:02:33] Started to just well they opened up a valve of
[00:02:37] Threat and anxiety inducing news that is just never turned off now
[00:02:41] It's just it's ever feeding the population and
[00:02:46] For those who are trapped in cubicles for eight hours a day
[00:02:50] Literally forced to sit and be inactive in their own preparedness. I'm sure it's very tough
[00:02:57] I'm sure it's very anxiety inducing, you know
[00:03:00] You have to feel for the people in this country
[00:03:03] Who are watching everything change before their very eyes and I'm talking about the working class people who?
[00:03:11] care and
[00:03:12] Have to drop their kids off at a school. They're not sure about go to a job
[00:03:16] They're not sure about talk to people at their job that they think might hate them and probably want them out of there
[00:03:23] You know it says so much
[00:03:25] Seems uncertain
[00:03:27] Yeah, only through action. Can you find that certainty? I say it all the time, you know
[00:03:34] Only through action. Can you find that certainty and and a
[00:03:38] Concept I think I'm gonna talk about on Instagram this morning if I hop on I'm running out of time
[00:03:44] Is a review of that concept of alternative everything, you know
[00:03:48] If you are sort of anxiety ridden or if you do feel like God Almighty
[00:03:53] It's getting worse and worse every day
[00:03:56] You know when your preference weird because it's not getting worse every day. It's usually getting better every day
[00:04:01] Right? It's usually getting better every day
[00:04:06] I
[00:04:07] Don't know, you know, I have no desire to talk about the trader in
[00:04:12] Congress
[00:04:14] The speaker trader. I don't have any desire to talk about the court cases that aren't cases. I
[00:04:22] don't know
[00:04:24] US quietly holds up some arms to Israel. Are they what's going on with that? Why are we holding up the arms to Israel?
[00:04:31] Is that an appeasement tactic to the terrorists in?
[00:04:36] University sweaters over there is that what we're trying to pull
[00:04:40] We're trying to appease the we haven't still haven't wrapped our head around
[00:04:44] Or the idiots anyway haven't wrapped their head around this idea that this is a
[00:04:50] outside agitator
[00:04:53] The game that's being played by our opponents and our enemies and
[00:04:58] the last thing we should be doing is
[00:05:02] You know, well, let's let's let's take a closer look at this thing based on what Hamas is saying in America
[00:05:10] right
[00:05:15] They say Haley's pulling 22% of Republican votes in Indiana I
[00:05:21] Don't know how that's gonna go over
[00:05:23] Anyway
[00:05:25] That world is a world. It's really boring
[00:05:27] You know, I have been I have been and I would recommend the same
[00:05:30] I have been paying closer attention to local politics
[00:05:35] Excuse me, I'm not out of the woods yet. I may take this show off tonight because
[00:05:41] Talking for an hour. It's gonna be coughing for just as much
[00:05:46] I
[00:05:49] Have to pay closer closer attention to what's happening locally and I'd recommend you do the same
[00:05:54] You know, those are the things that affect your day-to-day
[00:05:58] Truly
[00:05:59] Truly those are the things that affect your day-to-day. I
[00:06:02] Keep watching the world and I keep thinking, you know
[00:06:07] Are we long for internet? Are we long for?
[00:06:11] Power grids are we long for this digital mayhem? I
[00:06:16] Don't know. I
[00:06:18] Really don't know it really looks to me that there is we're at the beginning stages of
[00:06:25] a
[00:06:26] Trend away from technology. I know that seems almost impossible
[00:06:31] But I mentioned this and it's already become this way
[00:06:34] I mentioned this probably a year ago, maybe even more
[00:06:38] There was a time when you'd hop on the internet you'd hop on social media
[00:06:43] You'd see some astounding things and you would go oh cool or or you would hop on one of the things that I always loved was announcements
[00:06:49] I'm a sucker for announcements. You know what I mean like oh
[00:06:52] This new movies coming. Oh that new video games coming. Oh this new comic book series is coming
[00:06:58] I'm a sucker for that stuff, you know
[00:07:02] What's happening already?
[00:07:08] It's almost sort of like it might make itself
[00:07:10] It might make itself
[00:07:16] It might commit suicide AI
[00:07:19] Hear me out. There's already a feeling in my world
[00:07:25] Where I look at things and go yeah
[00:07:28] Or I read things or hear things or see things and go I think that's AI
[00:07:34] And I don't know how best to explain it
[00:07:38] But I can tell you that
[00:07:41] the more
[00:07:43] Artificially intelligent generated content takes up the internet the less appealing it's gonna be period
[00:07:51] The less appealing these things are gonna be particularly like and
[00:07:55] It's probably a blessing, you know all honesty, but particularly things like
[00:08:00] YouTube shorts and tiktok style content
[00:08:05] Even if it's just trying to be funny even it's just trying to be
[00:08:09] out there and outlandish
[00:08:12] When the human element and the risk of humanity the risk of a human in
[00:08:18] The endeavor goes away, and you realize it's just artificially generated
[00:08:23] It takes something something disappears out of it. It's not what it it's not what it was
[00:08:28] It's not what it's supposed to be. It's it doesn't hit the same. It doesn't
[00:08:33] Give the same juice for the squeeze
[00:08:38] Because there is a percentage, you know what I mean?
[00:08:40] There is undoubtedly a percentage like you go on YouTube
[00:08:44] You go on whatever you go on
[00:08:47] This thing about PBN, right if you went on PBN and PBN was like
[00:08:52] Well listen what if I came on and said listen we're gonna do an AI podcast on prepping
[00:08:58] Just for the fun of it
[00:09:00] You'd be like well, that's kind of stupid
[00:09:02] But I'll listen to it's probably gonna be funny
[00:09:05] If I came on and said all right Monday through Wednesday's AI content and the rest of the week is us live
[00:09:12] You'd be like I don't know about PBN
[00:09:16] If I came to you and I said all right five days a week we're doing AI generated content from our archives
[00:09:21] You know so it's our hosts
[00:09:23] voices scrambled applied to
[00:09:27] survival and prepper content in new ways and
[00:09:30] AI generated and then the weekends is us real people on the weekends
[00:09:35] We'd lose almost all of our listeners
[00:09:39] The same things gonna happen
[00:09:41] The same thing's gonna happen to content, you know, you want to you want to be a social network
[00:09:46] You want to be a valuable content creator or create a content creation platform?
[00:09:52] Zero AI, you know no AI
[00:09:56] That's the way to do it. You want to create a platform for video and and written word and all that kind of stuff zero AI
[00:10:04] I'm talking about the public right like instead of giving out
[00:10:08] Instead of giving out warnings about like hey, you said something about vaccines
[00:10:11] We get uncomfortable about instead of giving out that warning you give out warnings to say look we detected AI in your
[00:10:19] In your video so you know keep it up and three checks and you're gone. We don't do AI here
[00:10:28] Excuse me that's a profound effect folks whether you feel it or know it or not
[00:10:34] You know the inherent risk
[00:10:36] The risk reward ratio of producing content disappears once it's some AI guy, you know what I mean
[00:10:45] It's just not the same thing and you don't value it the same and I'm seeing it already. I'm also seeing
[00:10:52] Gen Z and Gen A which are my kids sort of
[00:10:58] Figuring out like this ain't good enough
[00:11:03] See and I had if I took a little bit of a risk with my own children
[00:11:08] But I figured that is a time like this would come either personally or totally and I think it's a total
[00:11:13] I think it's a totality. We're just ahead of the game
[00:11:17] You'll see I think you'll see it as time goes on. I think you'll see
[00:11:23] This movement out of the digital world. I think it's coming, you know the big just if you don't pay attention to it
[00:11:31] You why would you?
[00:11:33] Unless you're into video games the big
[00:11:35] Epic studio produced video games are going away
[00:11:40] you know
[00:11:42] Like there's very few that are successful the workers cried
[00:11:47] They gave up their artist artistic devotion in place of higher salary
[00:11:53] So they would say, you know, we worked day and night on this project and we're not compensated well enough and
[00:11:58] You know, they're probably right to some degree on that but but then again, you know, there is something to be said about
[00:12:05] Creating something amazing
[00:12:07] So the studios the gaming studios are pressed into this box of like, okay
[00:12:12] Well if we want to make a big-time game
[00:12:14] Then we got to make it and it's gonna cost X amount of millions of dollars to make and then we got to sell it for
[00:12:20] X amount and we got to do this we got to do that and there are parts of video games that people are just totally
[00:12:24] disenfranchised with like
[00:12:26] in-game purchases
[00:12:29] Excuse me
[00:12:31] So you buy a video game and you might want spider-man to look a certain way
[00:12:35] But you got to pay for that spirit certain suit that you want spider-man to wear. This is one example
[00:12:40] I don't know if it's even a real example. I haven't played the spider-man games
[00:12:42] All of this is creating what used to be a really good time for for people and
[00:12:50] turning it into
[00:12:52] whatever
[00:12:54] You know whatever and on the top and it wouldn't be maybe on its own it wouldn't be an issue but on top of that
[00:13:01] Adults and children are hearing constantly constantly constantly the effects of screens the effects of screens get outside the sunlight
[00:13:09] The effects of screens too much social media too much video games too much so true to me, you know what I mean and
[00:13:15] And on top of all of that, you know, there is the
[00:13:20] undeniable
[00:13:21] Power of the human connection that still exists in the world and will I think always exist?
[00:13:26] I do think that the digital world is is it may have peaked
[00:13:34] It may have peaked that might seem insane in your household right now
[00:13:39] You may have a spouse or family that is super online and I'm telling you
[00:13:44] it's it's
[00:13:46] When things peak it doesn't mean they drop off. It doesn't mean they flatline
[00:13:49] You know what I mean, but it's hard for me to imagine what comes along that
[00:13:55] captivates people
[00:13:57] Beyond what's happening now. You know what I mean? I see because the reason I did not mean for this show to be just a total bitch session
[00:14:05] Or or no
[00:14:07] Stradomic preview of the digital world so I hope you're enjoying it
[00:14:12] What I didn't see happening was this the
[00:14:16] The absolute standing against the VR the way that I see it
[00:14:24] So I thought
[00:14:26] Virtual reality would be an automatic adoption easy. No problem. No questions. I
[00:14:32] Thought society would would say oh, I'm definitely gonna VR headset that's sweet
[00:14:39] Because when I put a VR headset on and played it for the first time I was like
[00:14:43] I don't know if I'm gonna play video games anymore
[00:14:46] Like the idea of the
[00:14:49] I'm physically active. You know what I mean?
[00:14:52] So like
[00:14:53] Button combinations to stab someone in the liver is not nearly as fun as just left hand
[00:14:59] To liver with a dagger in it. You know what I mean? It's a different thing
[00:15:06] Fatigue so on and so forth
[00:15:12] One of the best pieces of news that I got from the from the
[00:15:16] Digital entertainment world this week and I didn't even believe it. I thought it was fake
[00:15:21] So here you go
[00:15:23] My son my oldest son said look there's a new Arkham game coming up and it's coming out on the quest 3
[00:15:30] It's called Arkham shadow and he showed me preview and I said, I don't know man. That looks fake and
[00:15:35] He's like it's not fake
[00:15:37] And I said okay, I looked it over and you know, everybody took off about it in the communities and and the most standout thing
[00:15:45] About this new Arkham game that's coming out for quest 3, which by the way we may have a PBN hiatus when this game hits
[00:15:52] I don't know
[00:15:54] There's some things in life Wolverine Batman. There's some things virtual reality. They can pull me deep down into
[00:16:03] Into a hole
[00:16:05] I'm just kidding. You know, I'll be here
[00:16:09] Been doing this for what now 12 years
[00:16:12] 12 years I missed maybe 10 shows total. I don't know. I know I ain't miss 12 in 12 years. I could tell you that much
[00:16:19] anyway
[00:16:21] The biggest problem that the community had was that this was an exclusive quest 3 VR game
[00:16:29] The Arkham gaming community
[00:16:32] Was pissed off that it wasn't a regular video game. They want a regular video game
[00:16:36] They want to button press Batman through his his engineered world
[00:16:40] They don't want to play as Batman in a VR headset and have to move around
[00:16:44] so there's a clear division here and
[00:16:50] Sort of in the same way that the left is sort of splintering out and losing power
[00:16:56] Excuse me. I think the same thing is happening
[00:17:02] Same thing is happening in the digital world, you know so
[00:17:08] We're gonna save the news for tonight's show. I'll get I'll do some honey. I'll do some vinegar
[00:17:12] I'll do some loud lime whatever I need to do and we'll do the I'm Liberty show tonight
[00:17:17] We'll do some news. We'll do some reviews that kind of stuff, okay?
[00:17:22] But for now
[00:17:25] There's a bunch of stuff that I got to take care of before all right
[00:17:29] I'll see you live 9 p.m. Eastern barring anything cataclysmic. Don't worry. I'm not even remotely sick
[00:17:35] I sound like shit, but I'm not even remotely sick
[00:17:38] I'll probably run today to be honest with you and I think that'll clear clear up some of this nonsense
[00:17:43] But I feel great. It's just
[00:17:46] cough and in throat
[00:17:48] Soreness that kind of stuff all right
[00:17:52] Could definitely not what I expected to bring you today on PBN Daily News will get back to the normal format maybe tomorrow
