[00:00:00] Hello, welcome to the podcast. Present your vaccine passport. Enter your social credit score and be sure you have enough remaining carbon credits to enjoy today's show. PBN Family, your garden is the resistance.
[00:00:26] Good day PBN Family, what is up? Had to get out today. Had to get out into the real world today and do a little podcasting while walking, headed for the woods.
[00:00:40] I don't know, sometimes you gotta take a nice walk, sometimes you gotta do those things. Listen, it's a great weekend to become a member here at PBN, PBNfamily.com.
[00:00:50] Sign up. We are taking advantage of our amazing marketing company. I work with this amazing marketing company. You know them as humanity and mother nature.
[00:01:07] And they market for us better than anyone else between the hurricane and the warlike tastes of humanity. I find myself real happy with our decision to use them as our main marketing apparatus, if you will.
[00:01:26] And look, there's no denying it. They do a good job. So you know I'm sitting here in the winds of Debbie. It's actually kind of really nice to be honest with you.
[00:01:39] It hasn't been nice for the people south of us, but here in Richmond, Virginia it's pretty nice. A little overcast. Some blue sky showing through actually. Some light rain every once in a while.
[00:01:51] A beautiful breeze. Low humidity as well, which is rare for August. And I don't know, I just had this urge to get from outside of the house, from behind the old desk in the microphone and come out here and talk to you guys about a variety of things this morning that are sort of on my mind.
[00:02:15] I don't know, again without all the technology in front of my face this would be a little more off kilter. I do want to make a quick announcement though of a challenge that is imminent for you the listeners here at the Prepper Broadcasting Network and it's not for the faint of heart.
[00:02:35] Look at the mulberries. Oh no they're not mulberries. What are they? Are they some kind of grape? Wow. Muscadine. I never saw this here before. I'm walking a place that I've walked a million times and I've never seen these muscadines like this.
[00:02:58] Check that out. Anyway, nature. Nature again marketing for me. Foraging. Have you taken a foraging course yet? No? You haven't taken my foraging? There's no foraging course out there like mine I'm telling you because it's about how to become a forager not how to start reading foraging books.
[00:03:18] Whatever. You know it is what it is. But if you are a member that's all free. Foraging course free. Live on less than an acre take advantage of over 100 course free. 21st century security free.
[00:03:38] 21st century security free. One of these days I'll put the networking or not the network, the Food Networks podcast or course up. You can take advantage of that. But anyway get back to the challenge. The challenge that was levied last night.
[00:03:58] Last night. Last night I'm watching the Simpsons with my son before bed and I get a text from Dave Jones about fasting. Fasting. And I said okay let's work with this fasting thing. Now fasting I don't know if it's something you do or not.
[00:04:21] To me I've done it a lot. A 24 hour fast when I say a 24 hour fast to my wife she looks at me like I'm crazy. For me a 24 hour fast has become something that's like hardly noticeable. In fact when we were out. When we were out I don't know what was it? The Gotham get out. When we did the Gotham get out that was like hardly even an issue in terms of how fast we were.
[00:04:51] We arrived at that challenge fasted and it was a good time. It was easy. It was an easy go of it. A three day fast is a different thing. What we're going to do starting Friday the 16th I think it is. Friday the 16th 930pm or before your call.
[00:05:19] I'll probably do it before then. We're going to begin fasting. And the goal is to fast for 72 hours until Preppers Live. And then once Preppers Live hits myself Dave Jones and Ben the Breaker of the Banksters will be nearing that 72 hour mark and we're going to do a podcast about fasting.
[00:05:42] And all sort of the benefits therein and the struggles therein. Just sort of the whole thing in a hyper fasted state right? Now I don't know if you guys have done it in the past. I don't know.
[00:05:58] Like everything else like prepping this fasting thing takes time to get used to. I remember living, I remember working at the food bank and feeling like if I didn't eat breakfast I couldn't go on with life.
[00:06:21] Like if I didn't wake up, eat something, get the kids off to the babysitter back when I was working outside the home and then get to work. If I hadn't eaten breakfast it felt like I couldn't go on. It was the same way when I was in school.
[00:06:38] I'd be in school and if I didn't eat breakfast I would just sleep through the first three periods. I have no energy. And then you slowly start to wean yourself off this, what it really is is just a mental hold on you that makes you think I've got to eat as soon as I wake up or I've got to eat breakfast immediately.
[00:06:59] Whatever the situation is and come to realize it's not necessary. And now I'm at a point like I said where 24 hours is almost don't even have to think about it if I want to do a 24 hour fast.
[00:07:13] So think it over this weekend and figure out if the following weekend you'd like to refrain from eating. As preppers, as people who think that surviving something cataclysmic is important.
[00:07:29] I do think at the very least you should try a 24 hour fast to understand what it's like, what it feels like. Maybe you don't want to go down the path of long term fasting and so on but I'd highly recommend you at least do a 24 hour.
[00:07:45] And you know what? If you're going to do 24 hours, do it from Sunday into Monday and that way you can fast the whole day Monday and be fasting with us when we go live for Preppers Live.
[00:07:58] Not Monday that's coming but Monday the 19th. So Monday the 19th will be the Fasted Podcast. If you are ballsy enough you'll do 72 hours with Dave Jones and Ben and I.
[00:08:11] But if that sounds insane to you, if you got a busy weekend, if you got workouts whatever it is. Understood you know? Just do 24 hours and see what it's like.
[00:08:26] Most people don't even know what it's like to go 24 hours without food in America. No clue. You know such a wonderful life here in the United States again.
[00:08:34] I have no idea what it's like to go a full day not eating. Think about that. Your body is well equipped to deal with 24 hours no food by the way. Like so well, like millennia equipped.
[00:08:48] In the woods here, the beautiful harvest of mushrooms is all but destroyed. But I can't believe the mycelial activity that happened over these big rains.
[00:09:07] And we're not going to get the tremendous rain from Debbie that I thought but a lot of the growth from last week is all sort of torn up or rotting. You know what I mean?
[00:09:19] We're going to get a whole new crop of mushrooms, wild mushrooms through this forest. Most of which are poisonous in death you know.
[00:09:30] But still cool. Always cool to see Mother Nature come to be in its fungal form. So I'm going to sit on this rock and rap for a little bit.
[00:09:44] I searched various things on Google to see kind of what's happening in the prepping world. What's happening in the mind's eye of the media with prepping.
[00:09:56] And I typed in backyard chickens in Google this morning. It showed me story after story after story after story of different municipalities, cities and so on that are just all having conversations about this.
[00:10:19] They're all having conversations or they had conversations about loosening the restrictions on chickens in the backyard. And you know for a long time I've told you, I think everyone should have chickens.
[00:10:32] I mean if you really want to, if there's supply chain issues, if the media believes that and the government believes that climate change is going to mess everything up.
[00:10:44] If the economy's in trouble, almost if we're going to go to war, if there's going to be civil unrest, right? Every single problem that you could come up with, producing your own protein in the backyard by way of eggs helps. Maybe doesn't solve but it damn sure helps.
[00:11:05] There is something so crazy about walking out back every day and grabbing protein. And the beautiful thing about the eggs is no murder, right? You don't have to kill anything.
[00:11:21] You don't have to go out back and behead anything. You don't have to go out back and pluck feathers. You don't have to cut the innards out of something. The egg is perfect. It's just the perfect little thing.
[00:11:33] And it's so easy, it's so hands off and people are getting it. And it looks like the battle that we had in Richmond like 10 years ago is being fought in a number of different municipalities and states across the country and it's a good thing to see.
[00:11:49] It's nice to see because the moment you get a taste of that, figuratively and literally, things change in the way you look at the world. They have to. You start to realize, oh, I can have protein in my backyard.
[00:12:06] Like we can have eggs every day. One of the things that I depend on as a prepper is if nothing else, we will have eggs. You know what I mean? Like if all supply chains grinds to a halt, all my meat gets used up in freezers, everything dry food gone, all of it. You know what I mean? We'll have eggs.
[00:12:30] And if you have eggs, you're one rooster away from having chickens, right? Like more chickens. It's just, it's a launch pad for self-sufficiency. It really is. And that's a beautiful thing.
[00:12:44] So, you know, when I hope for chickens, when I hope for backyard self-sufficiency, urban homesteading, the whole nine years, when I have those hopes and dreams, they're completely apolitical.
[00:12:57] I just see American families with chickens in their backyard. I have no, I don't care if they're left-wing right-wing. That doesn't even pop into my head because that stuff is so minimal when it comes down to your needs.
[00:13:15] When it comes down to your real needs, powers out, like you want to lose a political affiliation pretty quickly. Shut the power off to your home. Don't look at the cell phone for a week and just worry about food from your own backyard.
[00:13:29] And you won't even be remotely concerned about Donald Trump or Joe Biden or Kamala Harris or whoever the vice presidents are. I don't even care. You know what I mean? That stuff just goes out the window.
[00:13:43] A fat and happy public will always find something to piss and moan about. Right? A fat and happy, happy public will always be irritated. They have to balance it out.
[00:13:58] They have to balance this great wealth of food and comfort out with something agitating. So they look to the political process, they look to any number of things that can get them all fired up.
[00:14:12] I have an inconvenient truth for you. It would be so funny if I slipped off that rock and fell mid-podcast.
[00:14:23] I have an inconvenient truth for you. We see what's happening in the UK. There was just a big news about a Taylor Swift concert being cancelled due to a threat from radicalized Muslims or a radicalized Muslim, whatever.
[00:14:48] There's even ISIS affiliated members on the bodyguard team. They're looking into that. Very, very scary stuff, man. I don't know what the fascination is right now with the Muslims and the Taylor Swift and the killing of people related to all of that.
[00:15:03] You know, they did the same thing with Ariana Grande, if you don't remember. In the UK, in fact. Remember they blew up the little girls?
[00:15:11] They don't want you to remember that the Muslims rolled into the Ariana Grande concert years ago and blew up little girls before they stabbed to death the little girls just recently.
[00:15:23] They want you to think that the whites, the white Brits are out of their mind. They're out of their mind, they're racist, and now they want you to believe that misinformation caused the whole thing and that the anti-racist amongst the Brits saved the day.
[00:15:40] And it took the throwing in jail people in their own homes posting on Facebook. Right? Whatever it is, had nothing to do with the radicalized Muslim population building their own little neighborhoods, sequestering themselves off from British culture and basically creating a slow sort of invasion style takeover.
[00:16:07] No, that could never happen. That's crazy. Well, hazelnut. Hey, see this is why I can't do a podcast in the woods. This hazelnut tree got enormous. Sorry. Oh, here's a nice one. Here's a nice hazelnut. Oh, it's getting close to hazelnut time. Anyway.
[00:16:34] An inconvenient truth. I told you a week ago that there were big protests happening in Bangladesh and it was going to affect the world of ready because my artist is there. Big protests about revolution years ago and jobs and so on.
[00:16:54] Well, the protests sort of spun up, cooled down, spun up again. The prime minister of Bangladesh in this recent wave abandoned the nation. She left. She ran away. Chaos continues and you'll never believe who came out of the woodwork and started burning down Hindu temples in Bangladesh.
[00:17:20] Christian places of worship. I'll give you one guess. I'll give you one guess. It wasn't the Amish. Okay, it wasn't the Amish who came out of the woodwork when the chaos started and started burning down Hindu temples. No, it was the same old same old right?
[00:17:40] It was the Mohammed soldiers. They showed up. They came out of the woodwork in Bangladesh and have now been taking advantage of the chaos to spread their wonderful religion of peace. You know, peace through fire, peace through violence, peace through beheadings, peace through rape.
[00:18:03] And that's what's happening on the world stage, folks. I mean, you watch the same things happen all across the world involving the same types of people, involving the same radicalized segment of the religion maybe. And you say to yourself, you know, are we just?
[00:18:29] This is what I go back to when I talk about we have to say the truth.
[00:18:34] We have to say that when these groups of Muslims get into a nation and they gather together and they start getting all Shia, I'm sorry, when they start getting all Sharia, it's never good. It's never. Show me the good.
[00:18:51] No, it's bombs and it's blood and it's fire and death. It's bombs and it's blood and it's fire and it's death. And it's going to amount to civil war on top of it. We've seen the first sort of peak of that in the UK.
[00:19:05] Are we going to do something about it or are we going to lie and pretend like everybody is the same and everyone should get their freedom of religion, even if the religion results in bombs and blood and death and rape? You tell me. 72 hour fast, PBN family.
[00:19:30] The thing that you can do to best affect the world around you is to make yourself more powerful and more resilient. You know, a lot of things that I talk about can frustrate people, can scare people. That is what it is. But I also provide you a path.
[00:19:49] The 15 hosts provide you a path back to stability. It's fundamentally through your own actions. Your inactions are what cause you to stress out and to fear everything. So think about the 72 hour fast next weekend. Yes, it will be tough. It will be a challenge for all of us.
[00:20:12] But what do we here on this earth for? If not to challenge ourselves and become better. Speaking of, go to PBN family dot com. In the wake of Hurricane Debbie on the doorstep of Iran V Israel, I can think of no better time to become a PBN member.
