[00:00:04] You're listening here to PBN. Your path back the stability here.
[00:00:32] Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
[00:00:46] Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
[00:00:56] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
[00:01:02] For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
[00:01:15] PBN family, I'm 99% sure that that is the first time I've ever said the Lord's Prayer out loud.
[00:01:24] I never went to church. I don't think I've ever actually...
[00:01:28] I've read it, but I don't think I've ever actually said it.
[00:01:31] I've said pieces of it. I can't say that...
[00:01:35] No. He smiles upon me today. Let's go with that.
[00:01:41] Hopefully. Hopefully.
[00:01:44] So the convergence of the Lord's Prayer and the daily bread and preparedness and politics
[00:01:50] and the rise in people seeking a higher power, a higher purpose, a higher meaning.
[00:01:58] You know? In days like these where...
[00:02:02] Oh, God.
[00:02:05] These silly little battles that we fight each and every day, these silly personalities that we watch,
[00:02:14] people in sort of the trinket 3D printed world that we live in,
[00:02:20] people are seeking a higher power and a higher meaning and a higher purpose.
[00:02:25] You know, we've come to realize that that which can be delivered is not sufficient.
[00:02:32] That which can be delivered within two hours is not sufficient for the human soul.
[00:02:38] Right?
[00:02:39] In other words, your Amazon delivery will make you happy for a little bit.
[00:02:45] But it's not going to do it for you for a lifetime.
[00:02:49] Right?
[00:02:50] The...
[00:02:51] Oh, where's my problem? Where's my book on the profit?
[00:02:54] Hang on. I want to say it another way.
[00:02:56] Just give me a second.
[00:02:58] I found something so cool.
[00:03:13] So I found an illustrated version of Khalil Gibran's The Prophet that was retail at $19.99,
[00:03:23] but since no one knows what to read and they're busy reading like 50 Shades of Grey or whatever,
[00:03:29] books like this and amazing books like this wind up in the discount bin at Ali's.
[00:03:35] You have to understand the profundity in that.
[00:03:40] You know what I mean?
[00:03:41] I mean, some things like the Lord's Prayer are so simple.
[00:03:46] And when you read them, you go, oh, this is why we're screwed.
[00:03:49] Makes perfect sense.
[00:03:51] This is why we're in the boat that we're in.
[00:03:55] So you look at the best sellers list of books and or you look at some of the most popular books,
[00:04:01] you look at what people are reading right here and now.
[00:04:03] And then you go to Ali's.
[00:04:05] If you're unfamiliar, Ali's like a really cool discount store.
[00:04:08] And you find Khalil Gibran's The Prophet in the discount bin for $2.99,
[00:04:15] an illustrated version that is somewhat rope bound, really cool design book.
[00:04:21] And, you know, if nothing else, if nothing else, The Prophet is a collection of it is basically a story of a man who comes to town,
[00:04:33] comes to this town and the townspeople ask him questions like fundamental questions about fundamental pieces of life.
[00:04:40] Now, there's a story that runs in tandem with this that's illustrated that is kind of cool.
[00:04:45] Right. But the townspeople, basically, the prophet comes to town and the townspeople all ask him, you know, and it's all sort of derived like this.
[00:04:54] Then said a rich man, speak to us of giving.
[00:04:58] And he goes through it. Speak to us of love. Speak to us of God. Speak to us of passion.
[00:05:04] Yeah. And the priestess spoke again and said, speak to us of a reason and passion of reason and passion.
[00:05:11] Your soul is oftentimes a battlefield upon which your reason and your judgment wage war against your passion and your appetite.
[00:05:18] That's not what I wanted to read you. Actually, the most one of the best quotes is on the back of the book.
[00:05:25] This this is a three dollar book. PBNFM, three dollars, three dollars.
[00:05:28] It has more answers than four years of college.
[00:05:32] Do you understand that Khalil Gibran's The Prophet to read through The Prophet will do more for your life than four years of college.
[00:05:38] I promise you, you know, I promise you. But this explains why we are where we are.
[00:05:48] Pleasure is a freedom song, but it is not freedom.
[00:05:52] It is the blossoming of your desires, but it is not their fruit.
[00:05:58] This is where we're at.
[00:06:00] We're perpetually freedom chasing. Now, look, I'm just as guilty as anybody else.
[00:06:06] Trust me, because when I get done here, I'm going to go hop into the.
[00:06:11] The. The virtual reality realm.
[00:06:15] And put in some time because today.
[00:06:19] I my inner nerd is quivering.
[00:06:22] OK, they just released the Batman Arkham Shadow game, which is a virtual reality Batman game.
[00:06:30] So it's not me to sit up here and say, I understand the way and I only follow the way like Miyamoto Musashi.
[00:06:38] No.
[00:06:39] But we have to at least be able to recognize the fact that, you know, we are this sort of.
[00:06:45] We have reached a point in society where pleasure seeking takes a vast majority of our time.
[00:06:50] That's what screen time is. Right.
[00:06:53] Pleasure seeking. Scroll, scroll, scroll.
[00:06:55] Scroll. Oh, I like that scroll scroll. Show me more that I like.
[00:06:58] You know, give me a little more. Give me another hit.
[00:07:00] Give me one. We want a little more something.
[00:07:02] A little more pleasure. A little more something.
[00:07:06] And.
[00:07:09] You know, it that turns you into a compulsive creature.
[00:07:13] And compulsion is probably the thing that we need to fight the most in our society in terms of like your own personal behaviors,
[00:07:21] like your own personal behaviors are probably dictated much more by compulsion than you know.
[00:07:27] The big the biggest test. Here's the biggest test.
[00:07:31] The biggest test to wonder whether or not you're compulsive or overly compulsive or something along that line is just to go sit on your front step with a coffee and sit there.
[00:07:42] Don't worry. Try not to worry.
[00:07:44] You're going to think right.
[00:07:46] Your meditation to tell you don't think about it. Clear your mind.
[00:07:48] Oh, sure. Yeah, no problem.
[00:07:51] Think about one thing.
[00:07:53] Just one thing.
[00:07:54] Make it the best thing.
[00:07:56] Think about your child.
[00:07:58] You know, and just think about them and how grateful you are.
[00:08:01] I find that gratitude can keep me focused the most.
[00:08:07] Once you can learn to focus like that, then you will or the battle that you have in trying to focus like that will start to teach you.
[00:08:16] Oh, I've got a lot of compulsive behavior.
[00:08:18] I've got I've got compulsion a hold of me.
[00:08:21] And that's what it becomes from that.
[00:08:23] It comes from this on to the next thing on to the next thing that was fun.
[00:08:26] What's the next thing that felt good?
[00:08:27] What was the next thing?
[00:08:28] The next thing, next thing, next thing.
[00:08:29] Right.
[00:08:30] And then you add to that the daily stresses and the things that have to get done and the compulsion to get those done.
[00:08:38] Give us this day our daily bread, PBN family, because we can work that into our life and we will work that into our life.
[00:08:46] That is the challenge, the challenge for the next 30 days.
[00:08:50] It's the 22nd of October.
[00:08:53] So we'll just say the 22nd of Thanksgiving.
[00:08:55] Let's just say Thanksgiving.
[00:08:57] Let's just go to Thanksgiving.
[00:08:58] Why not?
[00:08:59] Give us this day our daily bread.
[00:09:01] The giving thanks challenge, if you will.
[00:09:04] Right.
[00:09:05] Now, that's more than a month.
[00:09:06] So that's five weeks.
[00:09:08] OK, and that's that's a tall ask.
[00:09:12] I spoke to you about it in in passing, but today it's official.
[00:09:17] OK, so kick off today, kick off tomorrow.
[00:09:20] We don't have to have a hard start since we're going to extend it out to Thanksgiving.
[00:09:23] Why not?
[00:09:25] I've delayed it enough.
[00:09:26] We might as well.
[00:09:28] Give us this day our daily bread challenge is a simple challenge.
[00:09:33] And it is my challenge to you.
[00:09:36] And I'm going to tell you the things that will help you understand, too.
[00:09:40] Number one, the challenge itself is to make a bread dough every day.
[00:09:46] It's to make bread every day.
[00:09:48] Not even necessarily a bread dough, but to make bread every day.
[00:09:52] Quick breads included.
[00:09:54] OK, what are quick breads?
[00:09:55] A pancake is a quick bread.
[00:09:57] Don't be making pancakes for the next five weeks and saying you did something.
[00:10:01] OK, especially not out of a box.
[00:10:06] But biscuits, quick breads, pumpkin loaves, zucchini breads, those kind of things are quick breads also.
[00:10:14] Quick breads are essentially breads that are leavened using baking powder, baking soda.
[00:10:19] OK, soda bread, that kind of stuff.
[00:10:21] There's nothing wrong with this.
[00:10:22] This is phenomenal food.
[00:10:24] It's delicious food.
[00:10:25] There's sugar in it.
[00:10:26] Yeah, it's dessert-ish.
[00:10:28] Who cares?
[00:10:28] OK, work hard.
[00:10:30] Work hard, work out.
[00:10:32] And then you don't have to worry so much about eating a piece of pumpkin loaf.
[00:10:36] You know what I mean?
[00:10:39] Prepper fit and health, PBN family.
[00:10:45] Bread every day.
[00:10:47] Bread every day till Thanksgiving.
[00:10:49] By your hand.
[00:10:51] Mixing bowl, whatever.
[00:10:52] Share the duty with your family.
[00:10:54] I might do that.
[00:10:55] I might actually test my children on that.
[00:10:57] That way I can get a day or two off a week.
[00:11:00] Hey, you guys make some bread tonight.
[00:11:01] It's the bread challenge.
[00:11:06] Loaves of bread, braids of bread, pretzels.
[00:11:11] Make a pretzel, dude.
[00:11:12] A soft pretzel is not that hard to make.
[00:11:14] And I've done really good with homemade pretzels in the past.
[00:11:19] They have to be dipped in a caustic soda in order to work properly.
[00:11:24] So in other words, you make your pretzel dough.
[00:11:29] And you can bake them straight off.
[00:11:31] You can, you know, douse them in butter or something like that.
[00:11:33] But to really do them right is to take baking soda and water and bring it to a simmer.
[00:11:39] And then to actually dip your pretzels into that mix, right?
[00:11:44] And flip them over and dip them.
[00:11:45] You're not cooking them.
[00:11:46] It's just a quick in and out.
[00:11:48] But make sure it's well covered.
[00:11:50] And then once they're wet like that, then you salt and then you put it into the oven.
[00:11:55] How do I know this?
[00:11:57] Because I used to manage a pretzel bakery, okay?
[00:11:59] We didn't, we did not use baking soda to do this, all right?
[00:12:06] We used a different caustic element.
[00:12:09] I forget what it was called.
[00:12:11] But anyway, bread every day.
[00:12:16] Pizza, that's bread.
[00:12:17] You make a pizza dough, you roll it out, that's bread, right?
[00:12:20] You make a cinnamon roll in the morning for the kids on Saturday, that's bread.
[00:12:25] Okay?
[00:12:26] If it's leavened or if it takes yeast to rise, baking soda to rise, baking powder to rise,
[00:12:33] it's either a, you know, a yeast risen bread or a quick bread.
[00:12:39] Biscuits, cornbread, all that kind of stuff.
[00:12:41] I want you to make bread every day by your hand from now until Thanksgiving.
[00:12:50] That's the challenge, you know?
[00:12:52] You're not going to get anything from me.
[00:12:56] Nobody's winning it.
[00:12:57] It's not a win or lose thing.
[00:12:59] Nobody's going to get a medal for the best bread's made.
[00:13:03] There's no real pressure other than just do it.
[00:13:07] Because you're going to learn some things real quick.
[00:13:09] First of all, and listen, for those of you who've never made bread, this is the perfect time.
[00:13:14] You know?
[00:13:15] I'm not as interested in people who are making bread a few times a month or, you know, once a week or whatever.
[00:13:21] I'm not interested in the bakers getting the most out of this.
[00:13:24] Though you will get something out of this as well.
[00:13:28] But for the people who are like, I've never made, I've never even messed with a packet of yeast.
[00:13:33] I have no idea how to do that.
[00:13:35] I have no idea how to get started.
[00:13:38] Maybe I should do a video this week.
[00:13:40] Do a yeast risen bread.
[00:13:43] It's very easy.
[00:13:45] You know what I mean?
[00:13:45] It comes down to your ability to follow a recipe, your ability to be patient and careful with your yeast,
[00:13:53] and your ability to knead and dedicate the time to kneading, you know?
[00:13:58] And also giving it a good place to rise, a warm area to rise and moist.
[00:14:04] So these are things that you can do.
[00:14:08] That's all there is to it.
[00:14:10] You will learn things in a month about yourself.
[00:14:13] Number one, where's my time going?
[00:14:17] Right?
[00:14:18] Like I need eight minutes to knead this dough.
[00:14:20] If you tell yourself, I'm too busy to make the bread, you need about, I'd say you probably are going to need about 12 to 15 minutes to make a yeast risen dough in the early days.
[00:14:33] Right?
[00:14:33] We'll go 20 minutes.
[00:14:36] Then you're going to bake it for an hour.
[00:14:38] But, you know, well, you're going to rise it, then you're going to bake it.
[00:14:40] You know?
[00:14:41] And once it's in the oven, while it's rising, you can leave it then.
[00:14:45] You know, it's better to leave it when it's rising.
[00:14:47] Leave it the hell alone.
[00:14:48] Leave it the hell alone when it's baking.
[00:14:49] So what we're talking about is a time commitment of about 20 minutes.
[00:14:53] Okay?
[00:14:54] And that's really it.
[00:14:58] So the other thing you're going to learn is do you got enough flour and sugar and yeast to do this?
[00:15:05] That very quickly will be a food storage benefit for you.
[00:15:09] In other words, you'll get 10 days in and go, I've used all the flour.
[00:15:14] You know, because you're going to use four to six cups of flour every day.
[00:15:18] I've used all the flour.
[00:15:19] And this is incredible for you to know.
[00:15:22] Why?
[00:15:23] Because one of the things you should have planned to do in your life, particularly when food either gets scarce or when we're in a collapse situation or whatever that is, hard times, you should plan to bake bread every day.
[00:15:40] Why?
[00:15:41] Well, first of all, we're going into the cold months.
[00:15:44] I did this the other day.
[00:15:45] I baked up some pumpkin cookies.
[00:15:47] Number one, because I wanted them.
[00:15:49] Number two, because it was cold in the house and I didn't turn the heat on yet.
[00:15:51] We had the fireplace going.
[00:15:53] It was still a little chilly.
[00:15:54] This is the way we used to do things.
[00:15:56] Women would do this.
[00:15:57] They would bake.
[00:15:58] You know what I mean?
[00:15:58] They put the oven on.
[00:15:59] The oven gives off heat.
[00:16:01] Put the oven on.
[00:16:02] Bakes up.
[00:16:04] So you're going into these cold months.
[00:16:06] You turn your oven on.
[00:16:07] You use that.
[00:16:07] You use that heat.
[00:16:08] You're baking bread.
[00:16:09] But also then you have food immediately.
[00:16:11] Right now we have food that comes from next to nothing.
[00:16:14] But baked bread is the staple of humanity.
[00:16:17] You know what I mean?
[00:16:18] Fundamentally in a lot of regions of the world.
[00:16:21] Not the rice eating regions, but you know, other regions of the world.
[00:16:25] Middle East, you know, Europe, Americas.
[00:16:30] So what this challenge will also do is test your resources.
[00:16:34] It'll test your food storage.
[00:16:36] You'll be able to very quickly say, if I'm living in this fantasy where I'm going to bake bread all the time, then I'm going to need more of X and I'm going to need more of Y.
[00:16:46] Right?
[00:16:48] And this is so important.
[00:16:49] And because once you identify this at a time like now, well, then you can fix it.
[00:16:55] You can repair it.
[00:16:56] You can say, I need to store more flour.
[00:16:58] I need to store more sugar.
[00:17:00] I need to store more yeast.
[00:17:01] I need to figure out how to catch yeast from the air, which is not hard to do.
[00:17:06] I need to make a sourdough starter like Garden Girl.
[00:17:10] So this is another huge, not just learning the skill, but also understanding the resource drain on the skill.
[00:17:19] Right?
[00:17:20] And then probably the third benefit of all will be figuring out what your people like.
[00:17:26] You know?
[00:17:27] So in other words, do they dig your straight up and down flour, yeast, salt, olive oil bread?
[00:17:40] Like, does your family go like, man, it's good.
[00:17:42] Make this all the time.
[00:17:43] I really like having this around.
[00:17:45] You know?
[00:17:46] Or do they prefer, you know, it's seasoned up with cinnamon and sugar.
[00:17:51] Do they prefer it's seasoned up with garlic and Italian herb?
[00:17:55] You know, what are the preferences in your house when it comes to bread baking?
[00:17:59] Because now, again, another food storage 101, now you're not just doing a thing to do a thing with food.
[00:18:06] You're doing what people in your household like.
[00:18:09] Right?
[00:18:10] They don't like the zucchini bread.
[00:18:12] Maybe they love the pumpkin bread with the allspice.
[00:18:15] Maybe they love the apple bread.
[00:18:17] Maybe they, you know, whatever it is.
[00:18:18] There's a million breads.
[00:18:20] Really, the best thing about baking quick breads and yeast risen breads is when you can get the base down and start playing with the base.
[00:18:31] Right?
[00:18:31] Like, so now I have this great base dough.
[00:18:33] What can I do with it?
[00:18:34] You can get as creative as you want.
[00:18:39] So, yeah.
[00:18:40] Give us this day our daily bread challenge.
[00:18:42] Okay?
[00:18:43] It's a big deal.
[00:18:44] It's a big part of what I want to offer you guys from now until Thanksgiving.
[00:18:51] It's right around the corner, folks.
[00:18:53] It's right around the corner.
[00:18:54] Let's get into one threat, one solution.
[00:18:58] You're not going to be happy.
[00:18:59] All right, folks.
[00:19:13] Real quick side note.
[00:19:15] Um, SpaceX has filed an application with the FCC seeking approval to modify its Starlink Gen 2 satellite internet network to achieve gigabit speeds.
[00:19:26] This is, this is very interesting.
[00:19:28] I would like to see what the FCC does with public enemy number two Elon Musk.
[00:19:34] That'll be interesting, even though he just saved a day over there in, uh, Western North Carolina, at least from a communications standpoint.
[00:19:43] Right?
[00:19:43] But what I want to talk to you about today is I, I, I, the solution is tough here.
[00:19:51] The threat is viable.
[00:19:54] I start wondering how much, how much money can we pull from the treasury before it becomes an act of war.
[00:20:00] In other words, let me read you the story.
[00:20:03] U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Lloyd Austin, the greatest, the greatest loan officer of all time, Lloyd Austin, the greatest philanthropist of our time, visited Kiev, Kiev, Ukraine, to announce a brand new $400 million military aid package, including artillery, armored vehicles.
[00:20:30] Why can't I get some armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons?
[00:20:33] All I just want one.
[00:20:35] Lloyd, deliver me one armored vehicle.
[00:20:38] I'll put Batman decals on it.
[00:20:41] Um, this visit, Austin's fourth money dump to Ukraine, underscores continued U.S. support amid Ukraine's ongoing conflict with the Russia.
[00:20:51] Austin discussed Ukraine's defense strategy and long-term military needs with Voldemort Zelensky.
[00:20:56] The U.S. has provided ssssss.
[00:21:00] Ssssss.
[00:21:01] Hold on.
[00:21:02] Ssssss.
[00:21:04] This is creating a stutter in me right now.
[00:21:08] The U.S. has provided 61 billion in security assistance since the conflict began.
[00:21:17] Ahem.
[00:21:18] Ahem.
[00:21:19] Ahem.
[00:21:20] Ahem.
[00:21:21] 61 billion.
[00:21:22] Can you imagine?
[00:21:23] We have problems in a nation?
[00:21:25] We have financial problems in a nation.
[00:21:27] There are people out here struggling in this nation.
[00:21:32] And we've given the Ukraine $61 billion to be obliterated.
[00:21:38] Fundamentally, right?
[00:21:39] We dumped $61 million so that they could be chewed up in the Warsaw of Russia's military.
[00:21:48] Now, the only benefit to me is I get to look at my child and understand that, you know, I've spent $61 billion or my nation has in order to keep him out of a war with Russia because I don't think, I think at least in his lifetime, maybe not my grandchildren's, but at least in his lifetime, the Russian military has been, uh,
[00:22:09] decimated to the point where, you know, I don't see American soldiers fighting Russian soldiers on a battlefield anywhere.
[00:22:18] You know, in a large scale, like we all gotta go do this for the sake of the nation.
[00:22:25] Who's calling?
[00:22:28] Uh, so $61 billion in security assistance since the conflict began.
[00:22:32] Ukraine also announced that the U.S. will provide a separate $800 million for, for drone production.
[00:22:38] That's separate now.
[00:22:39] Okay?
[00:22:40] So $400 million military aid, $800 million separate drone production.
[00:22:45] So the real, the, the real deal is just another billion.
[00:22:48] It's another slick way to get another billion dropped into the lap of Voldemort.
[00:22:54] And I wonder when I think about Voldemort, you know, Russia killed itself in Afghanistan.
[00:23:04] Right?
[00:23:05] America killed itself in Afghanistan.
[00:23:08] Um, are we killing ourselves in Ukraine?
[00:23:13] When does the government that you don't agree with give away so much money that you can say, well, maybe this is an act of war in and of itself?
[00:23:21] Do you know what I mean?
[00:23:24] I think that's quite the, uh, quite the concern.
[00:23:27] I think that is quite the concern in all honesty.
[00:23:31] PBN family, it's been a great show.
[00:23:33] I want you to, we're adding a new segment to PBN news.
[00:23:38] Okay?

[00:24:16] This is, I have a charger right next to me with batteries stacked up on top of it.
[00:24:21] I need to recharge.
[00:24:21] These things are, I mean, you got to have one of these.
[00:24:25] Okay?
[00:24:26] You have to have a rechargeable battery system for flashlights.
[00:24:30] You have to have a rechargeable battery system for radios potentially for lighting.
[00:24:36] It's, it's all great.
[00:24:38] Okay?
[00:24:39] L to the letter L, the number two survive at YouTube.

[00:25:03] To be honest with you.
[00:25:05] To save money.
[00:25:06] Because video game controllers take AA batteries.
[00:25:10] And I'm buying AA batteries all the time.
[00:25:12] And I said, you know what?
[00:25:13] Let's get some of these rechargeable batteries.
[00:25:15] That way, you know, AA, AAA, whatever we need.
[00:25:19] We can make that happen.
[00:25:20] A lot of flashlights run on AAA.
[00:25:23] You can even get, you know, CR123 rechargeable and a recharging station and all that.
[00:25:28] But go down description below.
[00:25:31] Check it out.
[00:25:31] L to survive.
[00:25:33] All right?
[00:25:33] This is not a review by some wing nut we don't know.
[00:25:36] This is one of our very own from here in the PBN family.

[00:26:00] It's a busy life.
[00:26:01] You know what I mean?
[00:26:02] Just is what it is.
[00:26:03] So, give us this day our daily bread.
[00:26:07] Join the challenge.
[00:26:09] Start baking today.
[00:26:10] Just make a big old rolled baguette.
[00:26:14] Give it a whirl.
[00:26:15] One of the secrets to a good baguette, I'll tell you.
[00:26:19] When you start it, you know, when you finally form the baguette, which is a process of rolling the dough out and then rolling it on itself,
[00:26:28] and it will look a lot smaller than it's going to.
[00:26:30] Just search up a YouTube video.
[00:26:34] One of the secrets though is when you put it on a stone or a cast iron sheet or baking sheet, whatever you use, spray the oven with some spritz.
[00:26:48] Okay?
[00:26:48] Spray the oven with some spritz like of water.
[00:26:52] And get a little steam in there.
[00:26:54] Okay?
[00:26:54] And you could do that a couple times and it will help give you a good crust on that baguette.
[00:26:59] All right, PBN family.
