[00:00:04] You're listening here to PBN.
[00:00:09] Your path back to stability here.
[00:00:23] I thought a more lonesome and quiet intro was at hand.
[00:00:28] Welcome in PBN family as we are talking about
[00:00:32] A number of things today.
[00:00:34] The broadcast was held up a bit, I do apologize, I'm a little late.
[00:00:39] Because I was waiting for the tea to brew.
[00:00:42] Waiting for the tea to brew.
[00:00:46] Green tea and Jasmine blossoms.
[00:00:52] Dubbed, well I should first mention that.
[00:00:57] Monday the 9th our business disaster coffee comes roaring back
[00:01:04] with new offerings, new ownership, yada yada yada.
[00:01:10] Okay, telling you right now.
[00:01:15] Jordan from Phoenix Survival was right all along, she said.
[00:01:19] You guys need to do tea and she's 100% right.
[00:01:24] So because this Jasmine green tea mix that I'm drinking right now is, you know,
[00:01:30] gets you in the mood for lights out.
[00:01:33] Though you can't put me in the mood for lights out at this hour.
[00:01:36] But I did want a warm drink and I'd already drank coffee and I didn't feel like drinking more coffee.
[00:01:42] We decided to call it EMPT.
[00:01:47] So that'll be available disastercoffee.com.
[00:01:50] The site's not up, the site's been down for a month now or something like that as we've been working on this.
[00:01:57] A larger sort of breakdown of the changes and so on.
[00:02:03] We'll be presented to you guys soon in podcast form.
[00:02:08] The cliff notes, I invited the help of, interesting there's a chicken wandering and I didn't let them out yet.
[00:02:19] I invited the help of the Matter of Facts guys, Phil Rabelay, Andrew are now co-owners of Disaster Coffee with me.
[00:02:29] And you know, sometimes to take things to the next level you need help.
[00:02:34] You need that level of assistance, you need good minds and people who align with you in business.
[00:02:43] So Disaster Coffee comes roaring back next Monday with new coffees and new teas and you're going to love it because you've always loved it.
[00:02:52] I've never felt better about it for a number of reasons.
[00:02:55] Which is a great segue to the topic of this show which is why do this alone, why do it all alone?
[00:03:04] Why face this alone? Why?
[00:03:09] It's a question that I ask you know a few times a year with intent.
[00:03:15] Because we are a lonely society there's no doubt about it.
[00:03:19] Right, we are a lonesome society.
[00:03:21] And that's because your time can be spent because there's so much to do alone.
[00:03:30] Your time can be spent alone.
[00:03:32] Now listen, I made some commitments to myself when I started writing.
[00:03:39] Okay, one of them I'm kind of close to screwing up on.
[00:03:45] But one of the commitments was that I always wanted to wake up and be grateful.
[00:03:50] Right, I always wanted to cling on to the memories of what it was like walking into work.
[00:03:57] What it was like dropping the kids off and rushing and screaming and getting in traffic and yelling and pulling into work and seeing people at work.
[00:04:05] I didn't want to see or you know that kind of stuff.
[00:04:10] And I always wanted to make sure that no matter how long I did this, no matter how long I worked for myself,
[00:04:15] no matter how long this lasted and how well it worked, that I wanted to make sure now,
[00:04:21] I mean, I'm six, seven years in now, I wanted to make sure that I'd wake up and appreciate that.
[00:04:28] That I wouldn't get used to that. That I wouldn't be like, ah this is hard too.
[00:04:32] You know what I mean? Because it's a feeling that you can lose over time and I never wanted to lose it.
[00:04:39] I always wanted to hold just a little tiny little bite of that anxiety.
[00:04:44] You know what I mean? Just hang on to a little bite of that anxiety and understand like, yeah.
[00:04:48] Yeah, this is different. This is a different thing. This is a better thing for you.
[00:04:54] The other thing is I didn't want to look lonely.
[00:04:58] I didn't want to look like a writer who lived, who worked fundamentally alone all day.
[00:05:04] In other words, I always committed to staying fit, staying healthy, looking decent.
[00:05:12] You know what I mean? Right now I'm getting a little, I'm getting a little long chainie,
[00:05:16] if you understand the reference. I know my demographic, most of you are older than me,
[00:05:22] which is good because I'm older than me in my soul.
[00:05:26] So my older references work, right? But I do, I'm looking a little long chainie and I,
[00:05:35] if that doesn't work, I'm looking a little Benicio del Toro, right?
[00:05:39] And if that doesn't work, I'm looking a little, well we'll leave it at that.
[00:05:45] So, you know I wanted to commit to that. I always wanted to commit to that.
[00:05:52] It's important. Living lonely, not living lonely because I'm never living lonely, but working.
[00:05:58] Loneliness can have that effect on you, right?
[00:06:01] Early in 2024 30% of adults say they've experienced the feeling of loneliness.
[00:06:05] It leads once a week over the past year while 10% say they're lonely every day.
[00:06:11] It's a thing. It's a thing, right?
[00:06:15] But when you have all the trinkets and all the stuff to keep you busy, you know it's,
[00:06:20] you can be lonely for a long time before you realize, wow I'm lonely.
[00:06:26] But why face this chaos alone? Is there a worse position for a prepper than to be lonely?
[00:06:35] You know, what is the benefit?
[00:06:40] What is the benefit? We know the lone wolf story is a failed one.
[00:06:44] Right? It's a bad idea.
[00:06:47] And moreover it's easy. It's very easy.
[00:06:52] Now if you're listening to this podcast, I want you to understand,
[00:06:57] you can go to prepper broadcasting dot com and you can join our element chatroom
[00:07:05] and on the digital side of things, you're not lonely anymore.
[00:07:09] The other thing you got to be careful of too is being around people and digital communities
[00:07:16] that make you feel even more lonely.
[00:07:19] Right? Because it's not about people.
[00:07:22] It's not about just mounding people around you,
[00:07:24] mounding digital people around you on the digital platform.
[00:07:31] If you really want to end loneliness in your life and you want to be prepared with people,
[00:07:37] then it requires you at least be around people who have some semblance of like-mindedness on some issue.
[00:07:45] Right?
[00:07:47] Now when we started PBN, the Discord chat, I was never a chat guy.
[00:07:52] I did the live chats and left in goodbye. That was my show for the week.
[00:07:57] The Discord chat came from Chin from the Changing Earth podcast and it was great.
[00:08:03] You know what I mean? It was awesome.
[00:08:04] I really enjoyed, I have enjoyed this whole thing, this whole element monster that we have created
[00:08:10] that everyone who listens to the show should be a part of.
[00:08:14] You know? This is always my sort of gateway drug to destroy loneliness.
[00:08:22] The U.S. economy room right now, pending home sales dropped 5.5%,
[00:08:29] the live chat room is not really teeming, but there's some people in there.
[00:08:36] I see you, Garden Girl, I see you, Mad Dog. Thank you guys.
[00:08:40] The open chat room is always fun, right?
[00:08:43] There's always all kinds of just random prepper stuff in there.
[00:08:46] Our members only room of course is in there.
[00:08:51] Are you feeling lucky who is our resident?
[00:08:55] I guess you could call him like the editor of the element chat room, largely.
[00:09:04] In fact if I ever make a red beacon media lucky,
[00:09:08] the red beacon media group will definitely require your expertise, no doubt about it.
[00:09:15] There's a cartoon up there that is about two weeks behind my I Wanna President podcast,
[00:09:24] but it's still great. It's hilarious actually and it's two aliens sitting there staring at a guy
[00:09:30] who's raking his leaves with an American flag hat on in his backyard.
[00:09:34] They've just walked out their little stubby little green, you know traditional gray alien faces
[00:09:40] and they just waddled out of this UFO and they say take us to your leader.
[00:09:44] And the guy with the American flag hat on and the yellow gloves and the rake says,
[00:09:50] we don't really have one right now. It's just perfect. It's perfection.
[00:09:55] And there's US Shortages World Events. We have a great one over there called the Tinfoil Helicopter
[00:10:00] Landing Pad Room, Pavlodorov Charged, Telegram CEO, arrested in Paris.
[00:10:09] Russia opens borders to those fleeing neoliberalism.
[00:10:15] Prepper Tips and Tricks, Health Events, Family, the PBN Family Cookbook is great.
[00:10:19] Pappy's Iron Paradise is our fitness room. It's just a ton of stuff.
[00:10:24] You know what I mean? If you want to get into a ton of fun stuff and not feel so alone,
[00:10:30] with people that you know already are into prepping, go to prepperbroadcasting.com
[00:10:36] and go to the live show, sign up for element, right?
[00:10:40] You'll be in, you only have access to the live chat room.
[00:10:44] What is up me gray? Welcome to the live chat room.
[00:10:49] You'll only have access to the live show chat.
[00:10:54] But if you request it, if you say hey I want more access, then I'll let you in.
[00:11:00] We do make hoops. We have created hoops, we've created buffers between idiots and our community.
[00:11:08] And we've done so by creating a few flaming hoops.
[00:11:12] And you have to jump through a couple of those flaming hoops and then you're with us.
[00:11:16] You know what I mean? And that is what it is.
[00:11:19] But the overall concept for you to mull over into the show is just that.
[00:11:23] Don't be alone. Don't be alone in this.
[00:11:27] You know what I mean? At the very least here at Prepper Broadcasting and you're listening,
[00:11:34] you've got 15 hosts.
[00:11:37] Every one of us you can reach out to.
[00:11:39] You know what I mean? We're not that hard to find.
[00:11:41] And if there's one of us that you really want to talk to send us a message.
[00:11:45] Prepper Broadcasting.com contact. Contact. Hello.
[00:11:49] Good morning, Garden Girl.
[00:11:53] So yeah, don't go it alone.
[00:11:54] Get your kids involved. In the show description today I have a link to the world of Ready.
[00:12:00] Book one. Book two is fast approaching.
[00:12:04] Book two is fast approaching despite the Bangladeshi civil war that tried to thwart it.
[00:12:11] Think about that for a minute, okay?
[00:12:16] The artist was thrust into civil war. I had no idea what was even going on.
[00:12:23] I'm sure book two would be out already.
[00:12:26] But you know, the world that we're moving into guys, I got news for you.
[00:12:31] It's all about instability.
[00:12:33] Why do you think a year ago or whatever it was, I changed the logo to PBN Your Path Back to Stability?
[00:12:42] Because I knew that in very short order, the United States at large was going to look around and go,
[00:12:49] Man, I miss it when things were more stable.
[00:12:51] Right? I really would like to figure out how to make things more stable in my own life.
[00:12:56] Well, you're in the right place, right?
[00:13:00] So let's talk about Canada and the National Railway Company in One Threat, One Solution.
[00:13:07] It's a big deal. It's a big deal. Forget big one.
[00:13:23] On August 22, 9000 plus rail workers with the Canadian National Railway Company in Canadian Pacific Kansas City Limited began a strike.
[00:13:33] The Canada Industrial Relations Board received a dispute from the Canadian federal government which forced labor actions to end.
[00:13:43] Employees returned to work. The workers represented by the Teamsters Union accounted for 80% of the nation's rail transportation and deliveries of
[00:13:52] Col-Weat fertilizer, lumber and consumer goods which were temporarily delayed.
[00:13:58] Backlogs have mostly been cleared. Less than 5% of backlog supplies remain delayed.
[00:14:02] Separately, no solution is anticipated for the pending U.S. dock worker strike where the International Longshoreman's Association, the ILA,
[00:14:11] of 40,000 plus port workers are set to strike on October 1st.
[00:14:15] Hello, PBN family. October 1st.
[00:14:20] Six out of ten of the U.S.'s largest ports will be closed along the East Engulf Coast so one day strike is expected to cause a six-day delay while a two-week strike would disrupt
[00:14:32] the U.S. supply chain until early 2025. Do you understand what that means?
[00:14:36] I'm going to say something I say every year. Get your Thanksgiving and get your Christmas in the ASAP. Get started. Get started.
[00:14:47] Turkeys, most people eat frozen turkeys. The people who don't eat frozen turkeys...actually I don't even know anybody who doesn't need a frozen turkey.
[00:14:55] Even the Joneses who are raising turkeys or have raised turkeys butch them and freeze them. Right? So get your turkey.
[00:15:04] Now, why not? Get your turkey.
[00:15:08] Don't wait until after October 1st and go, I cannot believe that I can't get this, this, this, this, this.
[00:15:16] See, when I say a three-month par level for chaos, this is what I'm talking about.
[00:15:19] I'm not talking about just election but you just don't know what's going to happen on the lead up to elections and it's not all the lizards.
[00:15:30] It's not all lizards. You see, some people look at opportunities like an election year as a massive means of making more money.
[00:15:42] Applying pressure here and there. Ooh, you want to get reelected? Do you? Ooh, you want to get elected? Do you?
[00:15:47] Well, I'm going to put some pressure on you. We can get what we want by putting a little pressure on the American people.
[00:15:54] The idea that any business could disrupt and cause a strike that would disrupt the U.S. supply chain for up to two weeks, that's bonkers.
[00:16:04] You know what I mean? That's absolutely insanity that someone would even consider doing that.
[00:16:09] So, you know, it's brutal. It's insane but it could happen. It may happen and by the way, it's less than a month away.
[00:16:23] So work that three-month par level like I have been telling you. You know, get yourself squared away.
[00:16:31] Now is the time. Now is the time. You know, you have pbnfamily.com if you need inspiration. Many of you listening are members.
[00:16:42] Dig into that website man. There's so much content over there. You know, for food storage, for stockpiling, for DIY food storage, all that kind of stuff.
[00:16:55] Yeah, get into it man. Get into it. Learn about foraging with the free courses over there. If you're a member, the courses are free, right?
[00:17:03] And also, you know, because we don't know how things are going to go in years to come in terms of costs and in terms of access to things, if you are a member, get that lifetime membership.
[00:17:18] You know, we've done some of these and we figured out that the best way to do it rather than have you sign up at the lifetime membership because you have to sign up for a new account.
[00:17:29] The best way to do it is to reach out. So if you're listening and you heard me talk about lifetime membership, 250 bucks for the lifetime for the rest of pbnfamily's history.
[00:17:39] Even if we turn into something else, do something else, whatever the situation may be, you're a lifetime member of that organization. You get access to all the goodies, right?
[00:17:50] Just reach out. Let me know. You want to be a lifetime member. It's a pretty easy switch on the back end for me, you know, and we'll get your payment sorted out.
[00:17:58] And then that's another thing not to worry about next year. If you think this is it, you're insane. You can feel it already, right?
[00:18:11] You can feel what I'm talking about already, which is that compounding anxiety that we all feel.
[00:18:19] And we can all deal with it in our own ways. We can all deal with it in different ways.
[00:18:24] There are two things in my life that have helped me with it more than anything.
[00:18:30] The first is people. The first is you. The first is the hosts, the interactions, the pbnfamily, watching people do it, watching people deal with it, joking with people about it, bringing people together.
[00:18:41] And then there are people on the podcast to talk about it. All these things, all these things are so great. You know what I mean?
[00:18:52] They heal you. And the only other thing that really has any effect whatsoever outside of like family and all that is action.
[00:19:03] Is building and doing. Building and doing and learning. Building, doing, learning these things. You look out on your property. You look at your preps.
[00:19:13] You look across everything you've done and you say to yourself, you know, we're moving in the right direction. If nothing else, we're moving in the right direction.
[00:19:20] Do you know what I mean? And as Dave Jones always says, choose a position and improve upon it daily, right?
[00:19:30] You got to improve upon it daily. That's the thing. That's the trick. That's the trick. Dave Jones, by the way, been on fire lately.
[00:19:40] On absolute fire lately with the tips. You've got to listen to the tips.
[00:19:46] I think I may link all the tips together for you guys, for you members.
[00:19:50] I might give you a whole 30 list of Dave Jones tips just boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom in one big MP3 format as a member benefit.
[00:19:58] We take care of you guys, you know? Do my best anyway. I've got a speaking of which I've got something I got to edit for you today.
[00:20:08] Let me write that in the book. Write that in the magic book.
[00:20:14] Members. Alright folks, I don't think I'm hanging around too long. We're not going on too long. We're 20 minutes in already.
[00:20:23] I tell myself every day like keep it to about 10, 15 minutes. You know? Let me keep it short.
[00:20:28] And every time I look up it's 18. Alright, listen and all honesty guys, don't do this alone. It's insane.
[00:20:38] It's absolutely insane to take this all on by yourself. If you listen to us on iTunes or whatever, like dig deeper, get to know PPN.
[00:20:47] Again, go to prepperbroadcasting.com, join the element chat room, go to pbnfamily.com, look around there, see if membership's right for you.
[00:20:57] Get tied into this group of people. They are all awesome. They're all awesome. I mean everybody I deal with, I don't block people.
[00:21:06] I think I blocked like two people. It just doesn't even happen. Flaming hoops.
[00:21:18] What do we want? You know what? We'll run a traditional ad today for the Preppers Medical Handbook and then we'll call it a day.
[00:21:26] I appreciate you guys. Like I said, get to work man. We're on the downhill now baby. We are coasting downhill quickly. Get your affairs in order.
[00:21:38] Are you prepared to be the family doctor in a disaster or emergency? This is the Intrepid Commander and I'm holding the Preppers Medical Handbook by William W. Forgey M.D.
[00:21:52] In this great book, you'll learn how to prepare for medical care off the grid. You'll learn about assessment and stabilization.
[00:21:58] You'll even deal with things like bioterrorism response, radiation and how to build the off grid medical kit at home.
[00:22:08] Look, 2020 taught us a lot about the limitations of our medical infrastructure in America.
[00:22:14] Get the Preppers Medical Handbook today at Amazon.com. Again, that's the Preppers Medical Handbook by William W. Forgey.
