[00:00:33] 《I'm just like a soldier》 《I'm marching on moving forward》 《Always getting closer》 You're listening here to PBN. Your path back to stability here. You're in passport. Enter your social credits, Booler. And be sure you have enough remaining carbon credits to enjoy today's show. It is the resistance.

[00:02:11] Good morning this whole time. I had myself muted. My apologies. See? This is what happens when you get up, hit the ground running and even your intro comes in backwards because I hit the wrong sequence of buttons. Good morning again. Let's try this all over.

[00:02:29] So this goes to show out rowing with the punches. That was the title. I woke up, rolled out a bed, came straight to podcast and didn't grab my water. Didn't grab my hot water tea, nothing. So here we are folks. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Alright.

[00:02:51] So rowing with the punches. I think we're getting a lot of that here lately with what is going on politically, with what is going on domestically, what is going on around us just in the everyday next to you. So what happened in the week?

[00:03:11] Let's just do a quick recap. The week before starting Friday the week before we had the blue screen of death hit us. CrowdStrike really took its toll on all sorts of businesses and companies and when I say that I mean 9-1-1, hospitals, banks, gas stations

[00:03:35] anywhere that used CrowdStrike itself was affected me personally and directly. It took me until Tuesday afternoon to finally be back to work and it has been an understatement of a shitstorm of getting caught back up and patients being upset and not understanding

[00:03:58] which unfortunately was completely out of our control. Here's another thing. I'm still waiting to find out if I'm going to even be paid for the days that wasn't working even though it wasn't my fault. That's always a fun one. What else are we dealing with?

[00:04:15] Well, we see Kamala Harris is now running for president. What a joke. And I believe she chose Andy Pashir. I don't know it was a gay gentleman. Nothing against you know that's how you choose to live your life but if you're running on minority only

[00:04:35] to win your vote to to appease the groups to get the higher votes. It's really sad because then it's not... Oh, it's just a joke. We are going to watch a circus run itself into the ground. We really are. So I had a listener reach out to me

[00:05:02] to ask me to talk on some things and I've decided I was going to do it this weekend but I decided I'm going to do it next weekend because I want a little more time. I have some things I'm actually trying out here myself

[00:05:18] but he wanted to know good ways of quick snacks or foods that don't need heat or refrigeration because he pretty much works all the time and lives out of his car. He says he spends a 50 hours minimum a week minimum in a vehicle

[00:05:37] and he would actually like to have you know he loves peanut butter and cheez-its he leaves those in the truck but he would like to have some more different kinds of food ideas. So next weekend for you sir who are listening I will have that for you

[00:05:56] I've already been starting a list I have some things so I think it's going to be interesting I'm actually trying some stuff out this week too and make it even better I'm going to be leaving some of those things

[00:06:08] in my vehicle to see how they hold up at the weekend so it's going to be interesting that's when I wanted to put a little more practice in it to see how it's going to work but yes so the title of today is Roaming with the Punches

[00:06:26] and we are certainly getting it the cost of living itself has not gone down in any way, shape or form we are seeing that food prices gas prices, well gas maybe not as impacted but the housing cost everything's gone up exponentially

[00:06:47] I don't think you can find a one bedroom for less than $1100 a month anymore and it's absurd because in a household like mine where we are a two income household we are still barely getting by that is not... and you want to be able to put up money

[00:07:08] and unfortunately we can't we can't because we are making it day to day expenses this means cooking meals instead of eating out this means trying to be smart about our money but you know things happen let's see is anybody up this early?

[00:07:34] I'll start my show a little bit earlier than normal but I had the opportunity to today so I figured why not we have finally started receiving rain here in Myrtle Beach to the point that my poor chickens seem to be waterlogged we did get their structure back in

[00:08:02] the pen for now even though it's not not ideal on how it's set up but as long as it can keep them out of the rain and I've also found with where I have placed them I am going to have to dig a sort of

[00:08:17] trench or drainage runoff since it is hole in water because that whole soil back there is not typical soil it's actually like pure dense clay that even wet it takes forever just to soak it just to get through and dig in

[00:08:35] the gardens have not been doing so hot this year I'm looking at this weekend going out pulling everything up deciding on if I'm putting in a fall crop rearranging some stuff I know a big thing especially with what's going on is this rain has gone to show that

[00:08:57] the conventional water container I have for the chickens is just not feasible for us so I have some PVC I have some large containers and I will be going after here going and getting fittings for those PVC so that I can build a more sustainable

[00:09:23] watering system for the birds themselves instead of having to worry about the container being knocked over or covered in mud at least this way it will make it a little more usable so that is something here love computers that is absolute sarcasm

[00:09:57] computers are great don't get me wrong they help us when needed but other times I feel like they're such a hassle good morning I see you in there stop filled how are you speaking of which I am setting up I know last week I spoke about GMRS

[00:10:25] I am actually in the process of setting up registering with the FCC so I can get my sign code for GMRS the next thing would be then completing any courses I need to take for ham radio which a while back

[00:10:43] I mean I say a while back years back we did as a whole group and here in PBN we actually did ham radio classes and license but that was right at the turn of things for me so unfortunately things didn't pan out as far as getting that finished

[00:11:14] so you know what I actually while I'm trying to get this to pull up I'm going to let you know something so the other day at work we had a staff meeting in this staff meeting you know people were making jokes, chiding well one of my co-workers

[00:11:38] made the remark of the day the world ended and we survived he being the smart as I am jumped in laughed and said honey that's going to be nothing in comparison to what's going to happen next she went into a tizzy

[00:11:56] what's funny is a few of my co-workers know that I'm a prepper I'm not shy about it and I had said it right before the comment I've been a prepper for a long time not ashamed of it, proud of it actually and my supervisor goes oh yeah

[00:12:14] when the world goes to shit I'm just going to Jordan's and it wasn't one of those chest eyes and things of being one way or another but it was more or less it was more or less the fact that she

[00:12:34] made it clear that she knew I was a prepper and she was in agreement without saying it 100% right because some people are a bit more sensitive to such conversations and topics which is sad because people tend to be very dismissive people tend to

[00:12:58] don't want to think about the hard things because when it comes down to it what does that mean for them right means they're not ready means they're not prepared and a second they don't have a way of emotionally grasping onto that

[00:13:22] it's not to be ugly I would love for people to come together for learning so people would learn to be self-sufficient so people would learn to be able to take care of themselves you know these people are terrified of things they cannot control

[00:13:51] and a lot of people just don't want to think about it so it was really one of those things and my supervisor and I would discuss it afterwards and I told her I thought it was kind of entertaining and she goes oh I agree

[00:14:03] you know a stoner she needs to get out of the state she's in and she said that when it happens it's going to hit everywhere I said that is factual everywhere is going to be affected everywhere was already affected just with the crowd strike situation and

[00:14:33] it was just one of those things where it's not that why is this not pulled up it's just one of those things everybody's going to be affected one way or another and we want people to be able to survive

[00:14:59] I swear our computers are being difficult for me today yeah so let's see I give up on the computer it's trying to give me more issues than it's worth you know what another thing we're seeing is sickness lots of people around here have been getting very sick

[00:15:47] I don't know if it's just because you have people who are in and out of air conditioning to the heat seeing that it's just it's just a mess and my brain has gone completely blank sorry I was so sad I'm trying to get this to pull up and

[00:16:24] I guess that's not going to happen okay I will try again later oh I know I did see hold on if you have not yet please folks definitely check out preppercamp.com I will be there several of the hosts will be there

[00:16:51] it is going to be tons of fun and educational all at the same time and they will have multiple classes that you can take tickets are still on sale right now let's see right now tickets are at 79.95 and it will only go up

[00:17:15] so you have until midnight of August 15th and then they will go up to 99.95 prior to the event this is for the weekend so you have to open the door make sure to get that now that is for adults you do have students 7-15 69.95 and down 99.5

[00:17:36] for 2-7 years old I mean y'all look into this this is amazing we've also got James is doing I think there is still a giveaway going on on here for an ETA a lizard overlord and a few other goodies so check it out

[00:18:10] especially if you are on Instagram or if you listen on rumble James is doing some amazing daily daily auto gashes, daily news I'm not together with this today oh I know what it was so Prepper Camp is the go to

[00:18:46] every year right? without fail I will be there regardless I've made any employers know that's where I'll be alright let's see alright so I am pulling up there's going to be a new conference in Ohio next year the Heartland Self-Reliance Conference none other than

[00:19:21] one of our dear friends is actually put it together it is going to be exciting I don't know if he wants his first name he has an actual name given but is it the daily prepper? oh lord he did have my tushy for this well regardless

[00:19:47] the Heartland Self-Reliance is going to be going on in May next year in Ohio let me get up the details it's going to be May 2nd through 4th of 2025 in Millsburg, Ohio and on here at states bringing homestead and preparedness

[00:20:05] deals together in the heart of Ohio's Amish country so folks check this out you can find it on Facebook I know he's pretty big on there let's see does he have a website set up for him maybe not yet but Heartland Self-Reliance Conference in May in Ohio

[00:20:32] that will probably be my second regular attendant I will be there next year I'm excited for a prepper camp this year to the point that I actually have I believe I have a neighbor coming with

[00:20:47] I've got to check with her I know she put in for some days off we've got to get her ticket and she'll be coming in camping I think she even got some of her coworkers interested that one of her coworkers may be coming with

[00:20:59] so it's going to be interesting to see the PBN you know PBN we are set in this ground and then seeing around us it expand we have friends we have family other people who are coming in being a part of this it means the world to us

[00:21:17] alright this is I'm going to get back into almonds but no Amish country I am looking forward to it there are other ones I was supposed to take part of that life just happens this is what it is we're rolling with the punches I am dealing with

[00:21:57] the humidity in this apartment that I went and I bought a dehumidifier but it's not working as well as I'd like so if anyone has any recommendations I did get it off of the Amazon I've only had it for a day and it's not even half filled

[00:22:15] which truthfully our humidity is a lot worse than that in this house so if anyone has any recommendations I'd love to hear that because when you have to worry about your everyday household items like your leather boots or your wooden wooden items molding then there's an issue

[00:22:36] spinnwheels crochet hooks I clean with vinegar to kill the mold but still seeing any of that raises a lot of concern for myself for my family's health and well-being like the sooner I can get out on Myrtle Beach the happier I will be truthfully it has

[00:22:57] really turned into a shit show here I had no intentions of ending up here but you're seeing more and more crime you're seeing the cost of everything being very very high and it's not gonna get any better we have all these New Yorkers and New Jerseyans

[00:23:18] moving here and it is just kicking us financially in the butt so let's see is anybody up with me this morning I know I'm only 23 minutes in so I think what I'm gonna do I am going to to a commercial because I am dying

[00:23:50] of theirs over here and I'm trying to see if I have water up here so give me one moment and I will be right back on the brink of blackouts again as power demand reached an all-time record high overnight slivers of the golden state plunged into darkness

[00:24:08] Tom says it expects to continue with stage 6 throwing blackouts for the rest of the week he's scheduled outage on Thursday but the one that happened Sunday it wasn't scheduled it was unexpected and it lasted longer than a day point zero energy has given me the American tested

[00:24:23] American assembled reliable solar backup that I've been looking for their Titan solar generator is American ingenuity at its finest with a removable expandable lithium ion battery 2000 watt hour 3000 watt high efficiency inverter so what does all that mean to you it means the Titan can charge

[00:24:44] your smartphone for 88 hours your laptop for 35 hours a CPAP for 108 hours your refrigerator for 26.8 hours get to point zero energy dot com today for the all-american solution to backup power

[00:25:34] you found this you are the Brepper Broadcasting Network that is right PBN you are the resistance your garden is the resistance any sort of independent free thought and free will is the resistance so thank you I feel a lot better after getting

[00:26:07] a bunch of water and a protein shake that I had next to my desk down me I actually feel a lot better so folks what are you doing to prepare yourself for the inevitable events to come whether it be the chaos from the election

[00:26:26] the chaos from the world itself what are you doing we're trying our best here in the Phoenix household to try to get some money put up it's not an easy task I am keeping myself busy on the side I am typing up a storm sewing, crocheting

[00:26:50] all of that is in the works I do have to go today pick up fittings for the chickens for the PVC I do have to stop and pick up something else guess what folks you're about to see a bunch of dump bags you're also gonna see

[00:27:08] some crocheted washcloths and scrubbies because why not selection variety definitely makes things easier if there is something for those of you who are going to prepper camp or would like to see me in the process of making please give me any ideas I am all down for it

[00:27:30] I do not have a really great idea I need to run by Chen Chen seems to be my right hand man when it comes to thoughts and ideas on projects some of them I may not have the best outcome on but it is definitely interesting to see where

[00:27:47] two minds can come together and be creative that man has plenty of creative thoughts so I am very jealous I am keeping myself busy I am I'm actually putting together a list of things I'd like to do so we had what we called our three day soup

[00:28:10] we make a giant pot of soup day one, we eat it okay we never are able to finish it but we do destroy a good bit of the contents put it in the fridge day two we add more meat, more vegetables different vegetables

[00:28:26] so it's not the same soup day three is usually the leftovers in which we don't alter it in any way and just eat it as is but it works for us and we really like soup to the point that I have already told my partner

[00:28:42] I should be pressure cannon the soup I need to go ahead and sit down and have a day where I am just cannon and putting up food so then all I have to do is dump those contents into a pot and add my season

[00:28:59] I mean yes you can add the season as is but some things just need better refinement once it's being actually cooked or reheated back up so that is something else on our list I am looking at double checking our kits our first aid our trauma bags

[00:29:21] putting together a go bag for my partner because low and behold last beginning of year end of last year his truck caught on fire and his emergency bag went up in flames with it just a freak thing chemicals from a pool cleaner

[00:29:46] so a pool cleaner is very acidic and corrosive and over time this truck's fuel tank had been degraded enough that it actually caught fire while driving the only thing that spared him is when he stopped the flames rolled up the back of his truck

[00:30:05] right behind the driver's seat he was able to get out he was able to grab his phone his gun but truthfully beyond that he didn't give it much thought and realized his entire go bag was in that so the fact he got out as quickly

[00:30:22] as he did with what he did was impressive because the pictures of what was remaining were something else rolling with the punches are you quick on your feet? we talk about the things that we prep for we talk about what we'll do in these situations

[00:30:40] but do you know how to actually handle yourself in that situation? do you know not only are you grabbing your phone and your gun but you need to grab your bag is your bag where you can see it? is your bag in the forethought?

[00:30:55] because it wasn't for him it was behind his truck's seat he's got a single cab didn't give it a second thought because the gun and the phone were right there in front of him alright folks, see you've gotta think about just because you have this item doesn't mean

[00:31:14] it's gonna be the first thing you think of having a go bag is important I think everybody should have an emergency bag should have a go bag should have it whatever you wanna call it a bob a good whatever you want but you've got to make sure

[00:31:37] what you prep for are things that you'll remember if you have to make a list for yourself make a list but that is something we spoke about after his bag went up in flames with the truck itself I asked him you know, if we make you another bag

[00:31:53] and you carry it and he's already said since it is only him with work it will sit in the front seat with him that way he's always reminded that it's there and if he needs it he can just grab it and go

[00:32:06] because it was one of those situations had it been not as dire of a situation he thinks he would have remembered to grab it because you know, he would have had time oh, okay, I need this, this and this out of my truck

[00:32:20] but unfortunately when the flames are shooting up back behind your seat up the back of the cab you don't think about it you have to think in an instant so you need to make sure certain things are in a place where you can easily grab them

[00:32:36] or even be able to remember, oh, this is there we need to make it more accessible okay, sorry I have a security camera in the baby's play area so I can keep an eye on them that's another thing how is your home security? we are here

[00:32:58] in the area I live in it's actually been making big news they say it's a bunch of kids but it's not it's civil tweakers are coming through neighborhoods checking cars checking doors on the houses which that's not a first for us my old man and my eldest son

[00:33:19] had ran off a transient trying to pull on people's doors trying to go into people's homes that's another thing I've done we've had my chickens got loose I am still skeptical that they actually got loose on their own with the way the lock is set up

[00:33:36] or the lever on the door then how you can only access it from the outside of the pin really makes me suspect that either the neighbors that I've had issues with or the neighborhood kids which I'm thinking it's the neighbors I've had to issue with

[00:33:54] because they have kids who they let into everything has let my chickens out now, I have put something heavy weighted in front of that door so you have to physically move it to be able to now get the latch to open the door what have I done there?

[00:34:14] I've upped our security I have a new camera on the front of the house actually two and two towards the back one facing directly at the chickens because why not if it is important enough to have then it is important enough to keep an eye on

[00:34:30] and keep secure especially in a urban situation I have not been as fortunate as James to be able to have an area in which I don't have to give it much thought I mean sure you're going to still have your natural predators possums, raccoons, uh, foxes

[00:34:48] the hundreds of neighborhood feral cats that is endless but if you have something worth having it is worth protecting guns for security ammo for guns and so that way they're not just expensive heavy weights or paper weights making sure that you have the means to do things

[00:35:18] yes, that doesn't mean we're going to be able to afford to do everything all at once everything is budgeted and planning but make sure you do that if you know we've just missed prime days I think there's another set always coming up keep that in mind certain things

[00:35:35] pay attention to the prices of what it is that you're wanting do your research make sure it's feasible and then see if it's best to wait till a certain date or time frame in which it might be cheaper but that's what we're doing here

[00:35:50] as preppers we're planning, we're preparing whether it be for modern day conveniences or extreme that is what we do you have to learn to roll with the punches sometimes we get knocked hard on our ass and we want to sit there and cry

[00:36:10] well if you need to cry, cry but get back up okay I I wouldn't say more so than anyone but I have been through the ringer ringer so many times it's not funny I have gone through hell and back and I keep getting knocked back down

[00:36:32] and I refuse to stay down and it has been a financial toll on my household but you know what, we still keep going I'm not giving up I'm gonna continue to prep I'm gonna continue to make sure

[00:36:49] I can do what I need to do to defend my family I am going to make sure my family and I are well that their peace of mind and safety are number one that my peace of mind and safety are number one because folks

[00:37:08] we're all guilty of it we're all guilty of making sure everybody else is taking care of but not ourselves and before I was ever a preffer I was raised this way I was raised that you make sacrifices for your family yes you do

[00:37:27] but you don't make sacrifices to the point that it is going to be harmful to yourself or affect you in a way that you can't protect or do for your family I've always been that person with former spouses if they really wanted something I would put something away

[00:37:45] or put something away so they can have it okay there is time and a place where that works but you have to remember to take care of yourselves too yes I understand only four more hours on this project and it'll be perfect but does that four hours

[00:38:05] of cutting into your sleep and potentially causing an error and then having to redo it worth it would it not be better to go ahead go to bed at a reasonable time get up early yes it does means it extends in an extra day

[00:38:22] but that's an extra day in which you are clear headed level and rested enough to be able to work on that it makes a big difference makes a huge difference and you have to think about that is it worth losing sleep over okay I get it

[00:38:45] in an hour no big deal but four hours cutting into your sleep time can make a big difference between how well something gets done and how well you're performing the next day sorry I am looking at

[00:39:10] when I say I am looking to try to get us out of here I am I'm giving us a timeline we're working on it and I'm finding places that I would like there are is a honestly I would like to go to southwest North Carolina

[00:39:31] it puts me in a good enough distance from my older three but still gives me me still puts us in a neighborhood in which I can still work with no problems my partner can work and my son who is gonna who is one

[00:39:52] or is about to be one will be hopefully in an area where they're decent schools because I'm going to tell you right now the city is not ideal for myself no hate on anyone who prefers city living I commend you I can't do it I don't like it

[00:40:08] oh this whole time I'm just ranting a raven and I'm not even in element is anyone in there okay good morning Stumpfield he's still in there I'm early normally this usually comes on about ten nine to ten but no you've got to think about what you're gonna do

[00:40:38] for your family for yourself for your well-being is what I'm doing going to hurt me in the long run and I don't mean as far as the preps you're doing I mean the mental and physical exhaustion because I know several of you are probably a lot like me

[00:40:59] you will push it and push it and push it you don't have any more to go and there for a while that's how I had to work that's how I had to spend my time in my former life is I had to make sure

[00:41:21] kids were in bed by eight nine latest and then I stayed up till eleven eleven o'clock twelve and that was the time that was the only window I had to be able to do things for myself and that worked that worked for almost ten years but over time

[00:41:46] I got exhausted now in this life I don't have to hide what I'm doing I don't have to wait till people are asleep to bring out my sewing or my crocheting and there's not questions of well why is that out right now I get to work on things

[00:42:09] on my time throughout the day whether it be while I'm at work I get two fifteen minute breaks and a thirty minute lunch I'll get the dishes done I will take a few minutes and one break I may spend the entire fifteen minutes sewing or crocheting or

[00:42:28] doing the dishes and getting the housework done there is a perk to work in remote yes my job is non-stop when I am working but I also have a partner in a family who doesn't question it if they say hey let's sit down and watch a movie

[00:42:46] do you care if I bring my crochet no why'd you ask my partner understands I have a hard time sitting still through movies so I can crochet and watch a movie and I'm happy I can sit there and in border and watch a movie and I'm happy

[00:43:04] I am not an idle individual so it is nice to be able to have a partner who understands my prepping who understands my mindset and guess what I am getting sleep that makes a big difference it really does folks and I understand sometimes I do stay up

[00:43:23] till ten or eleven twelve depending on the day of the week if I know I have work tomorrow or if I don't but when I know I don't have important tasks that have to be done the next day then staying up a little later

[00:43:36] is not going to hurt you but keep in mind folks you have to get your rest you have to eat you have to stay hydrated yes grown adults I am telling you you have to make sure you're drinking water not all that soda

[00:43:51] okay sure you want a beer but you don't need a bunch of it okay get you a glass of wine just don't overdo it because as you get older you feel like crap pretty quick okay we're not twenty anymore we can't just jump back

[00:44:12] as easily as we used to where we could drink all night and stay up till four a.m. get thirty minutes of sleep and they'd be all bright and sunshine in the next thirty minutes to an hour and ready for the day that doesn't happen anymore
