This is terrible news, folks. Threats to shipping through the two major Middle Eastern waterways deepened concerns about disruptions to global energy supplies. I really don't know, folks, what the implications of this war are anymore on the world at large. You know, it's bad enough, you know, on you in your limited budgets or your plans, or whatever your situation is with gasoline. But we've reached a point where the effects on the wider world are going to be staggering. Here sooner and later. Oil prices rose to their highest levels in more than a month on July twenty third, today, after Yemen's Iran aligned hoot. These attacks on two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, opening a second front in a conflict that is already disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and now seems to poise to spread more widely. Bent crude futures rose three dollars eighty or four percent to ninety seven eighty seven a barrel. How high will it go? You know how high we're going to go? One fifty two hundred. The immediate outlook for crude oil remains support of his market's price, a worrying probability of supply interruptions in a second choke point Pepperstone Reach, a research strategist, Ahmad as Series said, see the huties recently have created a blockade on Saudi Arabia. This is a big deal, folks. You know what I mean. This is the becoming sort of like a clogged up artery all throughout the Middle East. Major waterways, the Red Sea now being affected, critical maritime trade choke points, the Strait of Warmuz, the Strait of Malacca, the Suez Canal, the Panama Canal, the Turkish traits in the Strait of bob Elmann Leb. Yeah, the UK Maritime Trade Operations said a tanker caught fire off Saudi Arabia's Red Sea cosday after being struck by an unknown projectile, leaving screw fighting the blaze. The incident was reported around the same time as the HUTI announcement. So the war thickens, the plot thickens. This is where we stand, folks, This is where we stand. But we're we're in living in currently living in a situation that we only used to bandy about in the prepping forums back in the days. We used to talk about five dollars a gallon gasoline and the end of all things and peak oil and oil and oil and oil and oil and this. You know, my mind goes a million directions with all this, But I can't quite figure out how we've not come to end this situation yet. I feel like there's simply too much to gain, and people are making a killing off of yours and our eyes discomfort. There's a piece of me that really believes that. Now, let's get into some good news. Okay, let's get into some good news, because this story is basically the antithesis of the oil story, right, the oil story, the oil situation. It's like, despite the fact that everybody tells you America produces all the oil, is it a price going up then? Despite that? Right? And why don't we have an executive order? That's how you know how powerful big oil is? Right? Shouldn't Donald Trump you on the evening news going, here's an executive order? The price of gas ain't going up no more, period. I don't care what Exxon says. I don't care what any of them said. Right, price of gas ain't going up no more. It's it. We're not going over four dollars in Virginia. We're not going over x amount of dollars in this place or that place. You know. Oh, and also state tax is coming off the oil. People are in crisis here, folks. Let's do something. So the illusion is that that's a problem that's far across the world and we can do nothing except spend money to fix it. Right, we can do nothing about the gas price, but spend more of our hard earned money. So I want to bring you to a good news story from The Times that puts a problem that you can solve in your very own backyard. Behind America's growing food freedom movement. Who wrote this wonderful article, I don't see any credit for author Jeff louder Back. Well done, Jeff. This posted today over at the greatest news source in America, the Epic Times. Behind America's growing food freedom Movement. For every dollar spent on food in the United States, farmers pocket just five point eight cents. In the mid twentieth century, that figure was forty cents to give you a little idea of that. But this is way beyond. This story is one of holistic approaches to food. It really is. Joel Salatin from Polyface Farms is interviewed here. This always cracks me up because when I was a chef long before, Joel Salatin was a fighter for food, like for the average person. He was a guy doing the best chicken in the country, and all the chefs wanted his poly Faced Farm's chicken, you know what I mean. That's who he was. And I knew of him back then and it was really cool. And it's really awesome all these years later to see him still at the forefront and really pushing. What he's pushing right now is the concept of a food emancipation proclamation. Right through what he envisions us a federal declaration consenting adults would be allowed to buy and sell homemade in farmstead food directly without the costly commercial infrastructure and cumbersome government regulation in place. All this to I mean, look, the guy wants farmers to be successful. I want to break it down for you the way he breaks it down talking about birds versus chicken, pot pies and stock right on a couple acres, a farmer might raise twelve hundred pastured chickens, selling them as whole birds or cut up parts at an average of thirty dollars per bird. Now, I don't think to me, Listen, nobody's winning here, right. The farmer's coming away with gross income of thirty six thousand dollars on his chickens, which a gross income on thirty six thousand dollars to raise twelve hundred pastured chickens. Just talk to Dave Jones about the money on food and that, you know, just food alone subtracted from that number, and then what you get on the other end is a chicken that costs thirty dollars, And I'm sorry it's too much money. Right, Whole birds are cut up parts at the selling at an average of thirty dollars per birds too. You know, the cost of a whole chicken that's raised normally the way normal chicken should be raised normally, it's insane, even if it's not thirty dollars. Right, If that same farmer could legally turn those birds into homemade chicken pot pies, free of dies seed, oils, and industrial additives and market them as high quality convenience food, the average value per bird could jump to around two hundred dollars, he explained, turning the same flock into a two hundred and forty thousand dollars revenue on the same land. If I could pull in twelve two hundred and forty thousand dollars, that's off a couple acres all of a sudden. Why not be a farmer like you want to expand farming in the United States and expand access to good quality food. You could tell someone coming up right now, you know, like I could take my fifteen year old and fourteen year old and tell them, Look, dude, you get yourself a couple of acres twelve hundred chickens. You already know chickens you grew up with, raising chickens, feeding chickens, holding chickens, all that you grew up with that twelve hundred pastured chickens. I'll give you the free pot piet recipe, right, or the pot pie recipe. That's easy. I'll give you something delicious. We'll come up with it, we'll prototype it, will work it together, and now you've got a two hundred and forty thousand dollars year revenue source and take care of birds. Huh what see like, Now, food safety has to be a thing. You have to have those kinds of regulations. You can't produce pop pies on a dirty bench and sell them to the public and have you know, food outbreaks. But we've long known, we've in this community especially, we've long known FBI all kinds of crazy takedowns of farms selling what is it, raw milk? You know what I mean. Once a farmer moves from raw ingredients to prepared foods, the regulatory threshold explodes, going from a home kitchen with existing equipment to what he described as a half a million dollar requirement to sell one chicken pot pie. And that's the problem. And why is that the problem? Tell me why that is problem. That's the problem because giant companies make frozen chicken pot pies and there's no way and convenience foods at large are a massive industry. And when they all started to come together, they all started to pool together, and everybody saw the conglomerations and used to post the graphics up on Facebook and say, can you believe that this one company owns boo boo boo, booh, booh booh booh booh boop. Well, now all of a sudden, you being you can't step in on that, right, you can't do that. You can't step in on that. So this is a huge article, man, it's it's an amazing article. Around ninety percent of the business is now online. I'm gonna talk about this more over at PBN today because it's a massive story and a massive article and it deserves our attention. And it's not, you know, the end of the world as we know it. So that's pretty nice too. That is pretty nice too. I don't have no AI news. Screw AI. I thought i'd read you guys my poem today, one of my poems. I've noticed The Odyssey is getting real big, and uh, it's getting a lot of attention because the movie's out and I wrote a poem. But when did this come out? Two years ago? Poems for Men released in twenty twenty five. Last year Poems for Men? Wow, what a year? What a year? So last year I wrote a book. It's a short collection of poetry. I think it's like one hundred pages or something. It it's not even one hundred pages. It's a great little starter for you, you folks out there who want to get into poetry, and you know you don't want to read Shakespeare or I mean, Shakespeare's in here. Shakespeare's in there, A lot of great a lot of the greats. I it's probably it's less than well. Matthew Arnold is in here, Yates is in here. Oh Ma, Matthew Arnold's in here twice. Urania, my favorite Dante, Gabriel Rosetti is in here a couple of times. And bront made it in as the only female contribution to Poems for Men, William Blake. Of course, there's a great poem in here from like the sixth century or something, sixth century Japan. It's it's the reason for putting the old poems in the Poems for Men book was to remind men, like, I know you're battling. So I know you're battling. We're all battling, but we've been battling. You know, that's what this existence is. And you know that's all the advice I want to give on that at the moment, because this is Red Beacon Daily News. But suffice it to say, I wrote a poem for this book, specifically called Sirens, and it is about the modern day, Sirens, and I just it's in the section there's a section all about women, because you better have a section about women if you're gonna write a poem book for men, right, And it's good, it's great. It's next to the Orchard Pit by Dante gabral Rossetti, which is I love that, that little poem. That's a cool poem man, the great concept. But I thought i'd read you some Walton today to end to end it all Sirens. I've seen her feathers, the scales she hides, shifting shapes through decades. We all know her songs. When first discovered by Odysseus on the Flowery Flowery Island, there were only two. Now they cling to the very walls of our minds, emerging from screens. Bud's blooming. Their song in our ears tie me to the mast yells. I'm obsessed. The wax in your ears will do no good. The sirens are off the island. They are singing Christmas songs in December.
