[00:00:01] Hello, welcome to the podcast. Present your vaccine passport. Enter your social credit score and be sure you have enough remaining carbon credits to enjoy today's show. Your garden is the resistance.

[00:00:26] Oh, it's Friday, PBN Family. I gave Johnny Five the day off. The camera has the day off, which means I get the day off from staring at the camera pretending it's a person. The world of video is interesting, but the world of podcast and radio is still my favorite. There's no doubt about it. You know, this is still my podcast. Stats are just cratering because I'm always on video.

[00:00:56] But I don't know. This is what I love. I'll tell you that much. There's just something about it. Just my voice to your ears and as sweet and pure as that can be. You know, the continuity has returned. The continuity has returned in. And it's matured. I guess that's the way to look at it. That's fundamentally the way to look at it.

[00:01:24] Continuity has returned in a mature fashion. I don't know how many of you out there listening were participators participated in the continuity all the way back. But what we've turned it into now is essentially a war room for disaster preparedness. The big stuff. In other words, the continuity going forward.

[00:01:50] And for you members, I'll do a much more deeper sort of in-depth look at how we're going to play this game monthly. But the continuity will be a monthly meeting, a monthly crisis preparedness meeting to really put all our heads together as a community, as the PBN family, and work our way through the continuity. Work our way through the continuity of services, essential services and resources.

[00:02:20] Work our way through law and order. Work our way through leadership. You know, all those different aspects of what it is we want to do. What it is we want to maintain, right? After a disaster emergency. Sorry, there was a weird noise outside. It sounded like a gunshot from far away, but I think it was just a vehicle. So it took me off my game for a split second.

[00:02:51] For you members, I'm going to send out an email today. It's going to have a piece of the new continuity worksheet that I'm looking at right now. And this worksheet is going to give... What it's going to do is it's going to give us all the ability to participate. And it's going to give us all the ability to not just write down the ideas that seem like they're the best in the group, but the ideas that we like the best in the group.

[00:03:20] You know, in other words, the meeting of the continuity will be a membership-only meeting or a members-only meeting, but it will be a meeting of many people with many different ideas. The gathering of those ideas, the stirring them around and the dumping them out onto the table for all to see, it's a big part of what these meetings will be.

[00:03:43] But for you, when you address something like medical care, when you address something like leadership structure, resource allocation, defense and protection,

[00:03:59] when you address these things, you might say to yourself, James has a really popular idea and everybody seems to like his idea, but my idea is the one that I want to do, particularly for your own area, right? Like, you can take the continuity and use it as a game, as a fun way to spend one day a month with the PBN family and just plan out.

[00:04:28] How to maintain society post-nuclear war, post-pandemic with massive casualties, post-whatever. Each month we'll do a different scenario and we'll build out the continuity of society, mankind, whatever, civility in your area. So you can use it as a fun game, it will be fun. You know, it'll be great to throw ideas back and forth.

[00:04:59] And I'm sure a lot of, at the end of the day, a lot of innovation, a lot of great ideas are going to, you know, rise to the surface. Or you can use the continuity sheet as a literal reference sheet to share with local leaders before, during, or after some kind of a crisis like this.

[00:05:23] You know, in other words, if we spend our time putting together a massive spreadsheet on the continuity. And why am I doing the continuity and why am I even thinking it through knowing that there's already emergency management services? Why would I even go this route? Years ago, I didn't have the moxie to do this.

[00:05:49] And unfortunately, and I apologize for this, I didn't even think that our community did. And I laid that at the hands of emergency management. But we've all had a, you know, we've all had a chance to peek behind the veil of FEMA. We kind of know what we're getting with FEMA. State level emergency management might be a little better. But we also know what happens in government meetings and putting together government policy.

[00:06:16] You know, my favorite FEMA policy to date is don't go to that house, there's a Trump sign. I like that one the best. They must have had their own. I wonder where on the continuity sheet we would come up with that one. Over the years, I've, you know, I've told you.

[00:06:36] Preppers are responsible for massive amounts of emergency preparedness and continuity-like infrastructure. That's the reality. The prepping community, the survivalist community, has built out particularly those pieces of infrastructure that help civilians the most. I mean, truly, it's what we've done.

[00:07:02] The plans and so forth, the details, right? The thought experiments, which is what this is. We've done that. You know, we've built that. We've built the backup power infrastructure. We've built all kinds of stuff. The food in the closets, everything. And, you know, in time, I was able to jump from being a chef into whatever the hell it is I am now.

[00:07:32] And I can wrap my head around a lot of this stuff a lot better now and guide a meeting like this. And there will be other people there, too. You know, I'm sure Jones will join us. The indomitable Dave Jones will join us, who does have, you know, a lifetime in crisis and emergency. But also a very real career in emergency management background. So, you know, look. We took something that was once a fun game. Really sort of like a fun cultish game.

[00:08:02] A monthly meeting in a way that I wanted it to be. And we've now kind of grown it into this thing that is... Or we're bringing it back to life. We're resuscitating it into this very meaningful and fun monthly crisis planning. You know, for the continuity of essential services and law and order for your area in the face of... Not a tornado. Not a hurricane. You know, like the real stuff. The big stuff.

[00:08:32] The prepper stuff. Right? I think it will be equally as fun as it will be interesting and engaging and maybe even... Could even wind up being immensely helpful. You know, to the world. I don't discount what preppers do, man. I do not look at what preppers do and brush it off. You know, I think that is one of the great mistakes since preppers have hit the scene. You know, since preppers have hit the scene,

[00:09:00] One of the great mistakes that society has made is to look at us and go, That's some weird fringe group. And, you know, they're all paranoid and afraid. Nothing bad will ever happen. Nothing bad will ever happen. Where in history does it say that bad things happen? Nowhere. History is a succession of peace and microwaves and Ozempic. And that's how we will live our lives till the end of time.

[00:09:28] So, it's funny, right? It is what it is. It's a beautiful thing. Very proud to be a part of this prepping community. You know? Slowly but surely I see people understanding too what value we've brought to the game. Not bad. You know? Not bad at all. I want to talk about these things because the last thing I want to do is talk about anything else. The last thing I want to talk about is Operation Save Elon.

[00:09:59] Right? Or the lunatics on the other side who are like, Since Donald Trump is president, he's doing things that I don't agree with. I'm going to blow up Tesla stuff and electric car stuff. I'm going to attack the electric car infrastructure that I really believed in. That I really used to pray to Gaia about. Yeah.

[00:10:52] Go on the way they're going. They will have... Now, here's the scariest part. Here's the scariest part. The scariest part is for Europe to bolster their military in a very big way. In the midst of a radical Islamic takeover of these nations.

[00:11:10] And then to understand that, like, what we did in Afghanistan would be a microcosm to what could happen in Europe. In other words, we see masses of military investment and military training and so on in these European nations.

[00:11:32] Yet they don't address the migration problem, the illegal immigration problem, the radical Islamic violence in the streets and the prejudice and everything that is going on over there. And slowly but surely, these radical Islamists rise to power. And what's waiting for them, buddy? Giant military might. Perfect for reestablishing the caliphate across Europe. All wrapped up in a bow.

[00:12:02] I really do worry about that. I mean, that's several steps ahead. But I do worry about that. But the world losing their mind over people getting sent back to their countries or coming into this country illegally. I think that's fun. PBN family, I don't want to go on and on today. I really do appreciate you guys. It's Friday. It's the end of the week. We've had amazing content all week.

[00:12:32] Monday, we're going to have Whitney Johnson on with her incredible book, Go Forth and Forage. Preorder it today, baby. Preorder it. Go Forth and Forage Whitney Johnson at Appalachian underscore Forager on social media. Don't miss her show, man. It's going to be an awesome show Monday. I got so excited for it that I told everybody it was coming last Monday.

[00:12:56] No, but truly, I mean, you know, edible and medicinal North American mushrooms, 50 of the most common. And pictures, full pictures, anatomy, the whole botan, I don't know what it is. Was it an anatomy botany? What is it with a mushroom? The whole breakdown, right, of these little aliens that pop up out of the oak trees and such. If you're into this stuff, like if you're into foraging, if you tell yourself, like, I want to forage more this year.

[00:13:24] If forage is in your dialect and it's something you either want to do, want to do more of, want to get better at, this is a must. And it's a cheap book, man. It's like 22 bucks. I mean, 22 bucks for a full picture book. I don't even know how they make money, to be honest with you, because the book is so well done. Cuarto Publishing did a hell of a job. But yeah, man, go get the book at Amazon. Go Forth and Forage. You search that up, it'll come up.

[00:13:52] I, like, you can lose $22. You know what I mean? Just wrap your head around it. I took my son out to the Silver Diner the other night after we went fishing and spent so much money. It's just obscene, the money. You know what I mean? That going out to eat is like getting shot. You're like, what happened? I can't breathe. My heart is beat. I think I'm going into shock when I get the bill.

[00:14:24] And yeah, I could have bought, let's see, I could have bought like three Go Forth and Forage books for the cost of sitting down, drinking coffee, and eating a meal at the Silver Diner with my son. One son. One kid. Yeah. It's the state of affairs out there in the world. But the continuity is back, ladies and gentlemen. We are back. Please, go to pbnfamily.com. Do yourself a favor.

[00:14:53] There's free books. Okay? You can get the free book by Dave Jones. You can sign up for the newsletter. Get the free book. 50 Must Read Books to Survive Doomsday. In fact, we may have to amend that. We may have to amend that to include Whitney's great book. 50 Must Read Books to Survive Doomsday and become a member this weekend. No, really. Do it.

[00:15:19] Again, this is another nominal, tiny little piece of investment that is going to put you at the helm of great power. It's just what it is. You know, you go five bucks a month. You can't even see five bucks a month anymore. Five bucks a month is like, what? Five bucks? It goes by that fast. It goes by like a gnat in the summer. You know, five bucks gone.

[00:15:47] Or, you know, join for 60 for the year and then you don't have to worry about it. Or, what you can really do. And I'm going to put a link to that. I'm going to upgrade the membership website today or over the weekend. And I'm going to put a direct link to the Lifetime as well. The Lifetime Membership $250 one-time payment. You're with us for life. We did this for our members at first as a membership perk.

[00:16:13] And as 2025 has gone on, I keep hearing from people they don't want billing. They don't want billing. They don't want it. They'd rather buy once, cry once, than have a $60 bill every year for the rest of their life. And look, to you members out there listening, I see how much money you've spent with us. God bless you. You know, you guys have really kept the lights on here through all adversity. What I will tell you, though, is a lot of you, especially if you've been with us a while,

[00:16:41] you've already spent the cost of a Lifetime Membership. Yeah. It's already happened. So, you know, wrap your head around that. Think that over. Okay? I love it here, guys. I just want you to know that. I'm like sitting in my little humble little dining room studio thing, living this little humble life.

[00:17:11] And it is, too. You know, I mean, one day I'll tell you all about it. But it is just what it is. Well, to some degree, you know, to some degree. To some degree, it is. When I talk about the monetary and, you know, all the weird modern-day metrics, right, the square footages and the vehicles and the – they talk about those things, it's very much about bank statements. It's very much a modest life.

[00:17:37] But you guys have helped me, and I hope I have helped you, open eyes to what really makes a man rich. And I don't know. There are few people that I know who are as rich as I am in the context of life, in the real context and the real metrics of life.

[00:18:07] You know, like time afforded, time appreciated, time in the flames of passion. And I mean that from, you know, passion from the standpoint of the things that really make you feel alive, that you really enjoy. I get to do that every day with you guys. Yeah, it's been a good ride, man. It's been a good ride. And we've got a lot of ground left to cover, PBN family, all right? Talk to you soon, man. Thanks for all the support, everybody.

[00:18:38] And, yeah, enjoy the weekend. Thank you for listening to the Prepper Broadcasting Network, where we promote self-reliance and independence. Tune in tomorrow for another great show, and visit us at prepperbroadcasting.com. We'll see you next time. I'll see you next time.
