[00:00:03] You're listening to PBN. Your path back to stability here.
[00:00:12] I want to first off thank Grok for transforming the PBN logo into Starry Night, which is pretty freaking sweet.
[00:00:46] Play with some AI, guys. I'm telling you. Don't worry. It's not going to steal your life away from you. So there are some serious limitations to what artificial intelligence is going to be capable of and is capable of. And I posted something on Instagram about it. And it's just, you know, like mimicking the real human experience.
[00:01:09] It's never going to be a thing. I know. Bigger question. Are we health and wellness? Think about that for a minute while I take a sip of coffee. Is the Prepper Broadcasting Network a health and wellness podcast network?
[00:01:34] Like it's true that we are the Prepper Broadcasting Network, but in terms of like categorical, you know what I mean? I can't. The world has changed so much. So much. Like if you did health and wellness back in 2012 when we started, prepping would be so far afield. Right. We would be like the foraging in the wild medicine and all the fringe regalia.
[00:02:01] No way. But the world has changed so much that I was thinking about this show today about talking about the prison of compulsion, which is exactly what it is. And we all fall victim to it from time to time. And I want to talk about it because I think I'm always lamenting. What I miss out on, you know, the things that I miss out on, you know, all of that.
[00:02:28] I'm always lamenting that it's just part of the deal. It's part of life. But compulsive behavior, you can miss out on your whole life. You can miss out on every great thing that ever happens to you, you know, if you're not careful. And it can get much worse, you know, it can get way worse than that. But as I'm putting this show together in my head, I'm sitting here thinking about the things that we talk about health and wellness, health and well. What the hell is wellness anyway? You know what I mean?
[00:02:54] And then and then thinking to myself, like, is this whole network health and wellness in the age that we live in? Right. Where where we have no business. Like no business. Intaking, onboarding the amount of news that we take in every day, no business. You have no business. You have no business. Reading about.
[00:03:20] Why the world is mad that Saquon Barkley met and played golf with Donald Trump. But even worse than that, because who cares and how is that even going to affect you? Right. But worse than that is. You have absolutely no business worrying about the fact that yesterday China put a flag on a shitty little island in the Pacific that no one cares about.
[00:03:46] Yet we stir that stuff into our brain and go like, oh, you know what I mean? Like something's going to happen. Something's going to change. And, you know, in the face of all of that. So that part, that part, you maybe you can get rid of. I don't know. I really don't know that we can get rid of.
[00:04:09] This hyper, you know, almost traumatic freaking level of content that we take in on a day to day basis. So. In terms of wellness, like. What do you do to combat that? You can't meditate from sunup to sundown and even doing that's not going to help you when you start seeing like. Oh, we can't we can't really stop the war in Ukraine with Russia. Right.
[00:04:37] We don't have as much sway as we thought we had. And dancing around this dancing around this situation with nuclear weapons might be a little harder than we thought. Right. Everything goes back. To being prepared and self as self-sufficient as possible.
[00:05:00] I can't think of a cornerstone of wellness in this modern age that is is has more strength, more power, utility. Right. So, you know, my question at the beginning of the show. Has the Prepper Broadcasting Network turned into a. A health and wellness or are we in the health and wellness category? I flicked it on on the rumble stream today.
[00:05:27] What's up, Firewolf Forge and the Phoenix in the chat this morning? Thanks for joining us. I flicked it on health and wellness because of today's topic. And then I really had a like a moment where I was sitting there like, wow. Things have changed. You know what I mean? Things have changed. So the prison of compulsion, PBN family. We do have an SHTF chef today. I'll break this content concept up with that because, you know,
[00:05:56] either you're going to be into it or you're not. You know, the thing about like a really compulsive person, they probably switched this off already. That's the funny the funny part. Right. Jay Ferg says it's both a physical and mental wellness. Yeah. Well, that's the secret, right? You have to act. There has to be action in order to get any kind of like mental wellness in order.
[00:06:22] I don't really think it's possible to sit there and go, oh, God, I'm in such a bad place mentally. I think I'm going to sit here and work it out by not doing anything physically. For me, it's the total opposite. You know, it's the total. I always talk about like and this is this kind of show. So I'll tell the story again. Really, really deep. Maybe one of the most standout depressions of my life. Here's the funny part about it.
[00:06:51] Like, I don't even remember what the cause was now. I'm so far removed from it by años. Like, I don't even remember. I don't remember why I was so depressed. But I remember it being just unrelenting. You know what I mean? Like an unrelenting sort of depression. And I did two things. I went on a really long run. And I was listening to Jordan Peterson. And Jordan Peterson mentioned something, right?
[00:07:19] Because of all the things that Jordan Peterson is and that we use him for in society today. What he is like better than anything is a clinician. And it's important to like take advantage of that part of him too. You know what I mean? Like, it's good to sit, watch videos of him if you like him. And he's picking ideas apart. But go to him for the depression and the mental woes. You know, because that's really what he has done most.
[00:07:50] And anyway, he talked about this thing that I think is probably the most important thing that you can recognize about when you're feeling depressed, being depressed. And he was talking about blowing up your entire map. And if you've ever been in one of these mental fugu states like the chickens are chiming in. And wait, no. No, that is a chicken.
[00:08:22] But anyway, if you've ever been in a mental state like that, then you know that it's – if you can recognize it, you can go a lot further. If you can say to yourself, oh, I'm in one of these situations. And one of the things that people do, one of the things that I do, lots of people do, is they start to blow up their entire map of life. They start to look at every decision hyper under the microscope and say, oh, I did that. I shouldn't have done that.
[00:08:51] That's why I'm here. And go back even for, oh, I got that degree. I should have never got that degree. I got that degree. Then I got that job. Then I met that person. Then we got married. Then it all fell apart. And then you know what I mean? And you start to literally take your whole existence, which is probably in most cases magnificent, and just nuke it. And basically simmering down to this one idea, right? Everything I do sucks.
[00:09:21] You know what I mean? I mean that's fundamentally the idea. I'm going to let the dogs out real quick because we've had fox attack after fox attack lately. Not attack, but like it keeps coming. You know what I mean? What I'm going to give you is a peek at this beautiful starry night. For those of you listening to the podcast, just relax. All right? I'll be right back.
[00:10:01] Holy moly. Them dogs, man. Heaven help anything in that backyard because they go flying out of there like a hypersonic missile. So right now, it's kind of time for a computer upgrade. If anybody would like to send me a brand new computer for a tax write-off, feel free. I'm just kidding. I want the tax write-off.
[00:10:31] So yeah, that really pulled me out of that situation. You know what I mean? That was one of those fundamental things where it was like, oh, okay. This is better. This is better. I see where I'm going off track and so on. But it's a good tool if you ever find yourself in that kind of a situation. Now, let's talk about why nobody can make noise around you.
[00:10:58] Why no one can touch you physically without you exploding. Why no one can interrupt you when you're focused or else you throw the desk across the roof. Let's talk about the prison that is compulsion. You know what I mean? It's impossible almost in this modern age for us not to be at least somewhat compulsive. You know what I mean?
[00:11:25] And when I say compulsive, I mean always chattering in your head about what needs to be done, should be done, has to be done next, has to be done after that, has to be fixed, has to be, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah. You know what I mean? Jumping from one lily pad of stimulation to the next, one lily pad of fear to the next, one lily pad of pleasure to the next, just over and over, just on this compulsive ride where it never stops.
[00:11:57] And I don't know how you get there because I just woke up there. You know what I mean? It's one of those weird things. It's like, you're a kid. You don't give a shit, right? About anything. And then you're 25 and like all of a sudden you're a compulsive monster and you don't understand what happened. Like slowly you were onboarded into this compulsive mentality.
[00:12:27] And most of the time, most of the time it just has to do with responsibility, really creating like one of the most devious things that we do as humans. And I don't know if animals do it. I don't know if they can do it. But one of the crazy things that we do is we create horrors that never exist and likely will never exist. I mean, look at our whole entire thing as preppers, right?
[00:12:54] We're preparing for these things that might never happen. I mean, there's a lot of things in the prepper world that will probably never happen. If you're like a hardcore zombie apocalypse type, ain't happening. You know what I mean? So we create all this kind of stuff that sort of drives us up. I guess it's probably sort of like an addiction to, you know, all the feel good chemicals, all the motivating chemicals that get us riled up.
[00:13:24] You know what I mean? So we can do the things that we need to do, get through the things that we need to get through. And like I said, without hobbies, without good people in your life, without like the ability to recognize it, before long you are in this radical prison of compulsion just by way of living life. You know what I mean? Just by way of living life. And it compounds and it gets worse.
[00:13:50] And now we have the ultimate weapon against our consciousness, really, because like the antithesis of compulsion is consciousness. The antithesis of compulsion, if you think you're too compulsive, you need to go stare at a rock for about 10 minutes. And I know that sounds stupid. And the reason it sounds stupid is because you can't do it.
[00:14:15] Like if you're hyper compulsive, the idea that, oh, I'm going to sit down and meditate for five minutes, that's hilarious. What is that going to do? That ain't going to do nothing. And that is your body going, listen, I know this guy's talking shit, but you know you can't sit still for five minutes without going completely insane. But what you can do is you can mock him and you can let him know that his idea sucks and it's not going to work.
[00:14:44] Because that's exactly what it is. Your resistance to those kinds of things, your resistance to like taking the world in, slowing down and taking the world in. It's because there's a part of you that knows you can't do it. Or if you do it, it's going to be so bad. Because that's how you beat it. I was lucky I had fishing. Something about fishing.
[00:15:12] If you think fishing is trivial, you are so far off. You are so wrong in so many ways. You know, leave the cell phone home and go fishing. And what you'll find is that it puts you in a position where patience comes into play. Patience is a beautiful thing.
[00:15:41] Patience is such a beautiful thing this day and age. Another real enemy of compulsive behavior, right? It's like slow down and be patient. It's a lot in fishing that takes you out of that nightmare of compulsive behavior. You know what it's like. You know what I mean? You're like a beaten dog at the end of the day because of all the built up compulsive realities of your life.
[00:16:05] And anybody who comes near you, anybody who chews too loud, thinks too loud, it's like you're ready to kill somebody. You're never like that as a kid. You know what I mean? Unless maybe childhood was really tough. But even then, you know what I mean? Kids are just way cooler. And it's because they haven't built up this compulsion resume.
[00:16:29] Now, this thing right here is the lament configuration. Raise your hand, listening audience, and tell me if you know what the lament configuration is. Because that's what this is. I was thinking about that on taking my kids to school today. I was pondering about this. My youngest was asleep in the back of the car. And I was looking at the phone, and I was like, oh. Because you know, right?
[00:16:56] This thing, the phone puts off immense compulsive nonsensical insanity. Nothing feeds compulsive behavior like this phone, right? You can play a game real quick. You can chat real quick. You can get on X, and you can fight. You can get in a real quick argument. Let's have ourselves a real nice argument midday for no reason over something. It doesn't matter. Let's get into Instagram. Let's scroll. Let's see. Oh, ahs and oohs and ahs. You know what I mean?
[00:17:24] It is legitimately the source. In the book, The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker. The movie Hellraiser, the Hellraiser series. These people seeking out the vastness of pleasures always happen upon the lament configuration.
[00:17:51] And lament configuration is this little box puzzle thing that, you know, basically is a gateway to hell and pain. Sound familiar? And you know what's funny about the lament configuration? Have you ever seen the movie? They like, it's a puzzle. So like, let me see if you can get my fingers. So they like use both their fingers. You always see them like using their fingers on it, their thumbs. You know what I mean? They like rub their thumbs over it, and they rub their fingers on the box.
[00:18:20] And then, oh shit, it starts turning into something. And I was thinking about that. Like, these are like everybody in the movie. And there's only one. Like, there's one lament configuration. And the poor bastard that finds it is subject to, you know, the centibytes from hell. But the reality is, man, like, we've all got our own little lament configuration. That we open the door to hell and the prison to compulsion. Like, right there, it exists.
[00:18:50] You know what I mean? And, I mean, there are things you can do. You know, there are things you can do to stop it. But it takes immense willpower. You know, that's just what it is. So, on that note, I think it's time we do a little SHTF Chef. What do you think? I got a good one for you today. You guys are going to dig it. Where is it? Did I not upload it? Oh, you got to give me a second. I didn't put the recipe in yet. Let's throw the recipe in.
[00:19:19] It's a good one. It's definitely prepper-esque, which I think is important for these. And don't forget, the SHTF Chef recipes are all captured at pbnfamily.com. Under the SHTF Chef show heading or whatever, the picture you scroll down into membership series, you'll see that series.
[00:19:42] And you'll always be able to revisit these without going through the whole show if you're a member over at pbnfamily.com. Okay? So, let us get into it. It's been a while. Let me get out of the way here. That's not good enough. Let me get out of the way here. That's still not good enough. Don't I have one where I'm like upright? You know what? Let's do that. You don't need to see me.
[00:20:12] So, in honor of our buddies in Portugal and Spain, I thought we'd do a blackout black bean dip. That's kind of funny, kind of mean, whatever. It is what it is. But the blackout black bean dip, you know, this also can be kind of tailored to, right? Cooking emergency food. Cooking your food storage. Also, don't forget about packfreshusa.com. If you are a black bean keeper, right? Like, you want to keep your black beans.
[00:20:41] Then, you want to buy a 25-pound bag of black beans for $10 and store it long term. Then, you need these. You need these incredible Mylar bags from Pack Fresh USA. Why are these the best? Well, they're made in America. They're notched at the top. They open at the bottom. You fill from the bottom instead of sealing from the top. Or sealing the top. And, you know, the kits that they sell over there come with oxygen absorbers.
[00:21:07] They come with everything you need to take something like a bag of black beans. Store it in a way that it'll last you until your kids grow up and you're handing them buckets when they go out the door. Oh, here you go. Throw this in your closet at your new house. Is what it is. You know, it's all in what you believe. If you think that everything's going to be A-OK forever, then maybe you're right. Probably not. There's the one I was looking for. So, the Blackout Black Bean Dip PBN Family.
[00:21:36] We do a lot of things with black beans. Black beans and rice. We've done moros over here. We've done all kinds of stuff. You know what I mean? One of the things that happens with beans, particularly if you don't make them a lot and if you're not really in tune with how much you need, is you think to yourself, like, well, if I'm going to rehydrate these beans and I'm going to boil them for hours, why not make a bunch?
[00:22:03] And what happens is you wind up, like, eating them a few times and then maybe making a soup or something along the way. And then you're like, oh, what am I going to do with the rest of this stuff? And then, you know, in an SHTF situation, the last thing you're going to want to do is be like, great, now I have to throw all this food in the trash because it went bad. And bean dips are delicious, man.
[00:22:25] You know, when I was in high school, like a vocational school, a chef from the CIA came in, not that CIA, the Culinary Institute of America came in and made us a lima bean dip with rosemary and olive oil from frozen lima beans out the freezer. And that's fundamentally all it was, really. It was like a bunch of olive oil ground, you know, lima beans in the mixer.
[00:22:52] And if I remember, olive oil, salt, pepper and rosemary chopped real fine. It was delicious. This one is better, better, more flavorful. There's more going on. I recommend you make this while everything's hot. You either make it after dinner, like you made the beans, you serve them up. Whatever you were serving them up with. And while they're in the pot, while there's some liquid, warm cooking liquid, right, still in the pot, that's when you make this.
[00:23:22] You know what I mean? You can double, triple, quadruple the recipe, whatever you want to do. But this is a good one, man, right? L2 Survive pops in and says most of the power is back in Europe. In a week or two, you will find out it was caused by solar wind. Oh, solar wind. I said EMP. I said cyber attack. I want to talk about that, but not right now. But go check out L2 Survive's YouTube channel. We talked about his video yesterday.
[00:23:52] The power bank video. Go check that sweet pet. Those power banks are evolving, man. And the one he's got is pretty cool. Pretty awesome utility for backup power. So if you've got a mixer, you know, like a food processor, that's probably about the best way to get your dip as smooth as the one pictured here. You may not like it that way, though, either. You know, a smooth dip is good, but some people like it like a dip with some onion in it or maybe some chopped tomato in it or whatever.
[00:24:21] If you like, you can also mash it. So if everything's warm, the problem of the puree is not as much a problem. Like you can get away with a lot of stuff. If you had to, you could get it done with a fork, with a rolling pin. You know what I mean? Something like that. If everything's cold, once the beans get cold and you're like, oh, I got all these leftover beans, let's do it. Then you need machinery, right? Or you got to reheat them in my from my experience.
[00:24:51] Right. I got two jalapenos in the recipe seeded and cut into like diced, you know, small. Jalapenos are subjective, man. So do with it what you want. You know what I mean? Sometimes I take a bite out of a jalapeno and it tastes like a green pepper. And then sometimes I'll take a bite out of a jalapeno. I don't know why. Compulsive. Sometimes I'll just take a bite out of a jalapeno and it'll set my whole soul on fire. So you never really know what you're getting with those guys. Two garlic cloves.
[00:25:20] Mince them up real fine if you're not going to food process them. But if you are, you know, I'd probably start with them first and then add the beans. You know, one thing that chunks of onion are OK. Chunks of tomato are OK. Chunks of jalapeno are OK. Not most people. Most people aren't going to really appreciate like a giant chunk of garlic in their dip. And if they do appreciate it, their spouse isn't going to appreciate it. Their children aren't going. Trust me.
[00:25:51] I crack garlic cloves and eat them whole. When I'm cooking with it, I just do that, you know, and I feel bad for Lady Liberty, but it is what it is. You know what I mean? So then half teaspoon of salt, half teaspoon of cumin. You can up the cumin if you really like it. I'm a big fan of it. Quarter teaspoon of chipotle chili powder. Chipotle chili powder in particular is dynamic stuff. It's smoky, right?
[00:26:20] It's it is hot. It's legitimately spicy. So you got to go easy on it. Depends on how hot you want your blackout black bean dip. You know what I'm saying? We're going to open a SHTF chef restaurant one day, maybe. Half cup of chopped cilantro. The fresh cilantro is key for me. One of the things that's kind of cool from a presentation standpoint is to take cilantro
[00:26:47] and sour cream and maybe even some of that diced stuff, the tomatoes and all that, and sit it on top in a way that you see in the picture with the shredded cheese. Not mix it in. Right. And then then create like treat it like a nachos kind of thing. The juice of a lime essential. I like lime. And you don't have to do sour cream if you're not into it, but I think it's good. I think it's good mixed in. It makes it taste great.
[00:27:14] But I also think it's good on top, you know, stirred in as you're eating it with chips or whatever you're doing with it. But you can't have enough recipes for rice. You can't have enough recipes for beans if you are in the DIY food storage business as I am. And as I think all of you should be. There's nothing wrong with survival food. Nothing wrong with freeze dried meals from this company or that company, whatever. They're hella expensive nowadays.
[00:27:42] And the other thing about them is, you know, you're probably not going to like all of them. Way better than starving to death. Like chicken flavored rice is a gift direct from heaven as opposed to starving. But if you if you also have the ability to cook your own rice and your own beans and do what you want, I'd recommend that, too. I think that's a pretty good move. You know what I mean? So.
[00:28:12] SHTF set chef, folks, I hope you like it. The black out bean dip. Should we keep it up? Nah, let's go back to our let's go back to our PBN starry night. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. So I can tell you, like, what can I tell you? The easy way, the hard way will wrap the show up with. Well, let's just do it personal. Let's just go personal. The best way to do it is to go personal. Right. OK, 2020 comes along.
[00:28:43] I'm trapped in the house with the family. The family's trapped in the house with me, if you can imagine. And. I have to figure out how to get into a different realm because I still got to work. We still got to make this all work. My wife's got to work from home now. Everybody's got to do what we got to do. We're doing school for my oldest in the house. My youngest is in preschool. For some reason, the preschool never closed, which was a huge blessing. Definitely for my youngest, because he got to get out and hang with people.
[00:29:12] But the whole lifestyle changes. Right. You go from being like this where I'm sitting here, like contending with my new little pitbull puppy who wants to fight and bark all day and night. But outside of that, it's, you know, there's a lot of good happening. A lot of good, necessary silence and quiet while you're trying to focus. Right. And all that changes. You know, and in my head, it became very apparent, like you need a plan, dude.
[00:29:42] You at the very least, you need a plan. You may need to convey that to your family because you might all need to get on some kind of meditation program in order to not kill one another because you're going to be around each other all. You know, and my wife is a she is a go getter. You know what I mean? Like the worst thing you can do to her is be like, hey, honey, let's hang out indoors all day. You know what I mean? And do nothing of value or importance like it's that's a rough ride for her.
[00:30:10] And that was what the outlook was for months when this really all kicked off. Remember? So we had to have a plan of action. You know, I had some experience with meditation. I started doing it more, more often. But really, truly. And a lot of people don't have the capacity for this throughout their work day because of the nature of their job and then maybe the nature of their life.
[00:30:36] But you have to find time in your day to do things slower. And I like to do things fast. I'm a fast person. You know what I mean? I don't really like moving slowly. But you have to find time in your life to do things slowly. I'd say if you are like wall to wall busy. Like the idea of adding anything is silly. First of all, if the idea of adding anything is silly, don't even watch. There's no point in watching. You know what I mean?
[00:31:04] Like if you wake up and it's like, I got to get to work early. I got to stay at work late. I got family responsibilities. Then I get home and there are things that I have to do at home. And then it's bedtime and I have no time to change anything about my life. And if you're in like mentally, you're going to do that for the rest of your life. Unless you plan on like going real hard and prepping and all that kind of stuff on the weekends. I don't know. I don't think you're going to get a lot out of PBN. Maybe you do. I don't know.
[00:31:33] Maybe I help you get through your day. Maybe the other hosts help you get through your day. And that's good enough too. But, you know, it's going to be real hard if you build a life like that to nurture a garden. You know what I mean? Or really learn how to shoot a weapon. You know what I mean? And really manage a weapon. Great show last night, by the way. Mike Sieglander was awesome. Competitive shooter. Firearms instructor. Go back and listen to that show. That was a great one. But if you got no time, take a walk at night alone.
[00:32:04] See, alone is important. Because then you have your own pace. Even if you got a dog that's cool and you can really like walk with and they're really cool, well behaved. That can work. I think that there is... I don't know. I think that there is... Even just having another creature or person with you. I think there's something in that that makes you modify because you're like, what do they want? You know what I mean? Or, oh no, this is what they want. Right?
[00:32:33] Like, I'm a people pleaser. So I'm always like, what do they want? Right? But other people who are more like, I guess, like aggressive or angry or something like that, they can be like, great. Now, what do I have to... Like, what are we going to fight about type of thing? But that walk by yourself, man. That walk by yourself gives you the ability to walk. And more importantly than even walking is walking at the pace that you need to walk at. Stopping and looking at things.
[00:33:02] Looking at the world around you and appreciating the world around you guys. Guys! Shit that happens in your life that you don't see. You know what I mean? I was walking out. This is so annoying that I'm going to say this out loud. Okay? Because just the whole thing is annoying. Like, I probably shouldn't even say it. But I have to say it. Because it's a perfect example. All right?
[00:33:32] And this stuff started happening to me after 2020. Didn't happen to me. Well, that's not true. This stuff's kind of always happened to me. I just see it more and more. But it's so annoying. It's so pretentious. I apologize in advance. I'm walking out the house after a long Sunday. And taking trash out. Right? And I walk outside. And I'm inside. And we've done a bunch of inside things. But we've done some outside things too. But you know what I mean? It's just one of those busy Sundays. And I walk outside.
[00:34:02] And the sun's setting. Yonder. I can't see it. I live in too many trees to really see it. Unless I get off of my own property. Sun setting. But what's happening is the light is shining through all the tree leaves. And it's hitting my shed. Right? And it's just. You can see like. The rays. And the patterns of the sun on the shed. And it's beautiful. Shed's just stupid ugly plastic beige shed. And I see it. And I'm like.
[00:34:32] You know what I mean? It's like one of those things. Where it's like. Okay. This is a stop and admire moment. And you know. What happens is you see that. You stop. And admire it. Because you start to train yourself to stop and admire these things. And then all of a sudden. Everything else catches up. Then. Everything else catches up too. So then. Then you're like. Oh. You know what happened today? You know how special today was. You know how incredible. What happened with you and your wife was.
[00:35:01] What happened with you and your son. What your son. I mean my son had an insane football game Sunday. He had three touchdown receptions. And three interceptions on defense. Crazy. Absolutely insane day. But the sun caught me. And stopped me. And slowed it all down. Right. And here's the pretentious terrible part. And I apologize. If that's not pretentious enough. I sat down. And I think I wrote a 10 stanza poem for my new book. Right after that. Right. Right.
[00:35:30] All about that one concept. Which is a big ass poem man. You know what I mean? It's a big one. But I just. I grabbed onto that inspiration. And everybody was tired. So nobody was like. Running around. Like looking for dad. Or help me with this dad. Whatever. And I just sat down. And I grabbed a hold of that. And that level of inspiration. It sat down. And all that just flowed right out of me. And it was great. You know. I was just. It was one of those moments.
[00:35:58] Like all of that culminated in about an hour of pleasure. Just from seeing the sunlight. On the side of a stupid beige shed. Because I was able to see it. You know what I mean? You know how much stuff we walk by. And don't see that's beautiful. Right now it's spring. Right now my whole neighborhood is like. Filled with azalea bushes everywhere. It's beautiful. It looks like an Easter basket. In real life. Like in. In. Like a neighborhood Easter basket. Seriously. In my neighborhood. We walk by this stuff. This beauty all the time. We miss it.
[00:36:29] Because compulsive behavior. Pushes you into a little. Like. You're in like a burka. You know what I mean? And you have this much room to see. And it's like. Oh what's the problem? What's the trouble? What's the thing I have to deal with? You know what I mean? Slow it down. PB and family. See the world for what it is. Your. Every possible thing you can do.
[00:36:57] To really take advantage of that inspiration. In that moment. Whatever it takes. You know what I mean? Grab the phone. Record your thoughts. Write something. Draw something. Say. Call somebody you love. Inspiration has a shelf life man. I learned that. From. Raj Patel. Maybe. I don't know. I forget the guy's name. I'm sorry. But it's. It's so true man. Like when you're inspired. You got to take advantage of it. It's. It's another way to stop the compulsive behavior. Like oh.
[00:37:26] I didn't really hone in on it. Because there will come a time. When there's no more time. Right? And all those things. You'll sit there. And I'm sure you'll think a little bit about all those. All those beautiful flowers you walk by and never saw. And that's. You know. Literal and metaphorical. Right? All those beautiful fields of flowers. That you spent your life running by. To be on time. And to be there. And to be ready. And to be this. And to be that. And not to miss out on this thing. Or that thing.
