[00:00:04] This is the Colonel Rad Alert. Civil Defense Information will be broadcast at 640. West of the Rockies, you're on the air. Hello. Y2K, how can we prepare? Stop a few of their machines and radios, throw them into darkness for a few hours. We are fighting for our lives. My family must survive. Over five years. Thousand gallons of gas. Air filtration, water filtration.
[00:00:31] Coming at you live from the frozen tundra that is East Central Alberta, Canada. Welcome back to the workshop where we create community, find freedom, promote preparedness and share success. I am Tool Man Tim. Today is October the 17th, 2024. This is episode 467 of Workshop Radio. How is everyone out there? How are my fellow delinquents?
[00:00:57] It is good to be back in the chair. I've been back for a couple of weeks now, but this is the first full-fledged this week in prepping and I see nine fellow delinquents in here already. It is great to be back, folks. Good to see you. Gunfighter Concealments is do the free thing and hit that thumbs up button. Just don't hit it too hard because then we might have a first aid issue in the house here. So who do we got? Oh, look at that. Hoss is in here. Pippin's in here. Glad to see Pippin. We're going to talk a little bit about his area of the country.
[00:01:27] Lately, because Pippin is a Florida man. So you know how that is. But let's open up our good old this week in prepping with a rule to live by. So I hit the old Google random number generator this week and I ended up with rule number four. First time I've had one this low in a long time.
[00:01:45] And it is definitely something that I have lived by pretty much my entire life. The old idea of being a modern Renaissance man or whatever you want to call it, you know, just somebody who's into just about everything.
[00:02:01] And this is a short and sweet rule to live by. And it is know a little bit about everything.
[00:02:06] And it's funny, but my daughter, Charlotte messaged me the other day. She was telling me, I don't even remember what it was, some random obscure fact.
[00:02:14] And she knew the answer to it. And her friend said, how you are just a fountain of misinformation.
[00:02:20] And she meant that in a good way. And Charlotte says, I'm just always interested in everything.
[00:02:24] And that's the way I hope she got that from both me and Becky. But for me, if you want to be at least my idea of being successful and being happy in life is knowing a bit about everything, having an inquisitive nature, treating things like you're a child, but not in a childish way, just kind of coming at things with a wonder and being blown away.
[00:02:44] And I guess you could throw into that being interested in other folks as well, because I've yet to meet somebody in my life that I couldn't learn something from.
[00:02:57] Simple as that. And that doesn't matter if they are a multimillionaire or somebody that I just met who is straight out of university, or even for that matter, guys, some days I learned something from the kids at the daycare.
[00:03:08] So anyway, know a little bit about everything because you never know how that is going to help you.
[00:03:13] Yeah. But good to see, but on here this evening, Ryan Pippen says, I know enough. I know enough to know. I don't know enough.
[00:03:21] And you know what? That's perfect because there is this, I believe it's the Dunning-Kruger effect where, you know, just enough to think to not know that you don't know enough.
[00:03:31] So if you get to your, if you get to the point in life where, you know, Hey, there's always more to learn.
[00:03:37] I guess that's what this is about having a teachable spirit, being inquisitive, because if you want to succeed in life, you want to be interested in whatever.
[00:03:43] You're doing so simple as that. Know a little bit about everything. I could go fully down the rabbit hole on this, but let's leave it there for now, guys.
[00:03:51] So from there, Hey, let's slide right on.
[00:03:56] If anyone dies while you are kept in your fallout room, move the body to another room in the house.
[00:04:04] The time has come for stranger than fiction.
[00:04:09] Stranger than fiction guys. This is probably, well, no, this is the segment that started it all.
[00:04:14] This is the one we started with a show just called stranger than fiction, where I would just take a deep look at the news.
[00:04:21] And I discovered, Hey, folks like this within reason, as long as we don't get down on the fear mongering too much.
[00:04:27] I just like, I'm a news junkie. You know, I probably scroll through Google news or different places, two or three or four or six times a day sometimes.
[00:04:36] And I just love catching up on things. So look at me as a filter.
[00:04:39] You know, every, every place that you get a piece of news from is going to filter it through their own lens.
[00:04:44] But for me, let me filter out all the bullshit and I'll come back to you with things that are interested, interesting to us preppers, I guess.
[00:04:51] Let's go with that.
[00:04:52] Ian Siss, good to see you in here this evening. Always great to see you.
[00:04:55] All right. So we've got three stories this evening.
[00:04:58] The first one comes from global news.
[00:05:00] And this was actually something that, I mean, I guess we talk about a bit.
[00:05:04] I know it's cliche for us in the prepper sphere to say, this is something we never deal with.
[00:05:09] So it is something we talk about a bit, but it might be a little bit less sexy than the immediate risks that come from a hurricane.
[00:05:17] So here it is. This one here is from globalnews.ca.
[00:05:20] Yeah, I know Canadian news source. I'm sorry about that, guys.
[00:05:23] And it says from snake bites to electrocution, serious health risks follow hurricanes.
[00:05:29] And, you know, there's the simple ones that everybody kind of points at, but there's some interesting stuff in this article.
[00:05:34] So let's dive in here. First, I need a sip of the old fashioned.
[00:05:37] And no, no shameless plug at all.
[00:05:40] But Byron sent me this, made me an honorary member of the Frankfurt Bourbon Society.
[00:05:43] And it is definitely something that I am awfully careful with.
[00:05:47] I love this glass. So anyway, thanks, Byron.
[00:05:51] And good to see you, Rachel Brown.
[00:05:53] All right. Hurricane Milton tore through Florida on Wednesday evening.
[00:05:56] This was written a few days ago, of course.
[00:05:58] Compounding the devastation caused just weeks earlier by Helen, Helene.
[00:06:03] I don't know. I think it's Helene.
[00:06:04] If anybody knows, tell me.
[00:06:05] The region is now grappling with widespread power outages, contaminated water, severe shortage of medical supplies, all posing significant threats to the public health.
[00:06:16] So the first one that I think just about anybody would look at, and maybe, Ian, I don't know how bad the water got where you are either.
[00:06:22] But if anybody wants to chime in, first and foremost is water risks.
[00:06:27] And more individuals, here's a stat or a fact that I hadn't heard before.
[00:06:32] And more individuals will sadly pass away after the storm due to drowning than actually before the storm hits or during the storm.
[00:06:42] A professor at the Brown School of Public Health in Rhode Island says, okay, said the things that we'll worry about over the next week is making sure that individuals don't put themselves at risk in terms of drowning.
[00:06:54] Risks of electrocution, wounds, making sure that individuals avoid contaminated water.
[00:07:01] So here's the thing.
[00:07:03] They were talking, of course, when you get a lot of water saturated in the ground, there's nowhere for the water to drain off.
[00:07:09] And, of course, following a big precipitation event, that water is going to drain down to the lowest point.
[00:07:17] Now, you know, there's always going to be high points, even in flat areas, but it's going to drain down.
[00:07:22] And it's one of those things that can catch up to you two or three days afterwards when people get a little bit desperate.
[00:07:26] They're heading out for gas for their generator, you know, Doritos for their kids, batteries for their Xbox controllers.
[00:07:33] And they end up getting washed away or, you know, worse than that.
[00:07:37] Maybe they drive into something that looks like there's only two inches of rain or two inches of water.
[00:07:41] And it ends up being, you know, three, four feet.
[00:07:44] They get submerged.
[00:07:44] And that is that.
[00:07:45] Because, of course, first responders still aren't going to be able to get around like they want to.
[00:07:51] Hey, Byron Roberts, just see, he must have heard me.
[00:07:54] The bourbon's working already.
[00:07:55] Good to see you, Byron.
[00:07:58] Echoing those concerns, Florida Department of Health issued an advisory warning residents to avoid floodwaters, which we've heard before.
[00:08:04] But here's something I hadn't heard of, and I'm going to attempt to pronounce it, and it's probably Latin, and you can laugh at me.
[00:08:13] Vibrio vulnificus, a potentially life-threatening bacteria that's in water.
[00:08:18] In other words, something that you can ingest that's going to kill you or make you really, really sick.
[00:08:23] Vibrio bacteria, commonly found in warm coastal waters, can cause illness when ingested or when open wounds are exposed to contaminated water.
[00:08:32] Again, something to think about.
[00:08:33] So, do you have something?
[00:08:35] You know, do you have a cut?
[00:08:36] Did you get a bruise, a scratch?
[00:08:37] Were you cutting some lumber or some fell trees?
[00:08:40] That kind of thing.
[00:08:41] You don't always think about it.
[00:08:42] You think, okay, I'll keep the water out of my mouth.
[00:08:44] But you don't think, hey, there's a big gash on my leg.
[00:08:47] Three days later, it's gangrenous.
[00:08:49] It's filled up.
[00:08:50] It's pussy.
[00:08:50] Whatever it happens to be.
[00:08:51] And whoever just logged on is like, what the hell is Tim talking about?
[00:08:55] After heavy rainfall and flooding, the concentration of these bacteria might rise, may rise, particularly in brackish and saltwater environments.
[00:09:03] Again, something I didn't think about.
[00:09:06] I normally assume that, you know, with a salt populated water source is going to be kind of antibacteria.
[00:09:13] But in this case, it says this bacteria seems to breed in saltwater environments.
[00:09:17] So it kind of goes against, you know, your personal ideas, I guess.
[00:09:21] There's also an increase.
[00:09:22] Here's another one.
[00:09:23] Maybe you guys have thought of this, but I like this article enough to share it.
[00:09:26] There's also an increased risk of allergies and asthma due to standing water in the area.
[00:09:34] Damp buildings, soggy items can promote the growth of mold and bacteria, which can trigger allergic reactions and lead to asthma development or exacerbation.
[00:09:44] Actually, a pretty interesting idea.
[00:09:46] You imagine, you know, you had a flooded house.
[00:09:49] There's a YouTuber I watch and he collects vintage electronics and that sort of thing.
[00:09:56] And it all got ruined.
[00:09:58] So then you go in there and you have to clean it up.
[00:10:00] And what do you deal with?
[00:10:02] Again, standing water, mold, mildew, all that nasty stuff.
[00:10:06] I remember some of the houses that I had to go into that had been abandoned for a while when I used to secure bank properties.
[00:10:11] And this was in an absolute dry, almost desert-like environment that we have here.
[00:10:16] I can't imagine what it would be like in Florida.
[00:10:19] I mean, when we went down to Daytona Beach a few years ago, I mean, if it wasn't painted, it had rust on it.
[00:10:25] That's what it's like, you know?
[00:10:26] So Pippin says, yeah, black mold is a nasty thing.
[00:10:29] You don't want it.
[00:10:30] Not a bit.
[00:10:30] Nobody does.
[00:10:32] What else we got here for you?
[00:10:35] This instructor here warned that floodwaters also present another significant risk.
[00:10:41] And it can lead to an increase in mosquitoes.
[00:10:44] So again, that can bring disease.
[00:10:47] But something you don't think about, well, maybe some of you do, it may also invite poisonous snakes into your home or yard.
[00:10:54] Now, I believe that should say venomous snakes, but we're going to let that go.
[00:10:59] When these storms come through, it disrupts the natural habitat.
[00:11:02] There are a number of poisonous snakes in Florida.
[00:11:05] Yep.
[00:11:05] Water moccasins, which I believe are the same as cottonmouths.
[00:11:09] I haven't seen one yet, and I hope to never run into one in the wild.
[00:11:12] Water moccasins are something that we worry about.
[00:11:15] They go into brush piles.
[00:11:17] So when individuals are clearing brush, removing debris, this is something they have to be very conscious about.
[00:11:22] So again, something that people told me very much when you're working in the woods in Tennessee.
[00:11:28] Be very intentional about where you're stepping when you're stepping over things.
[00:11:32] Be very careful about picking things up by the edge.
[00:11:35] You don't want to get your hands or feet or anything near you.
[00:11:39] I mean, our good friend, fellow delinquent Andy, who was in South America, had a real nasty spell with a venomous creature.
[00:11:48] So, and he is, you know, he's young and virulent and he's doing fine and he has a family, but man, I wouldn't want to have to go through that.
[00:11:57] And contaminated drinking water.
[00:11:59] How about that?
[00:11:59] After a hurricane, floodwaters often mix with sewage, agricultural runoff, and industrial waste.
[00:12:05] Sounds like Alberta on a regular basis.
[00:12:08] This contamination can lead to the presence of harmful bacteria, viruses, and parasites in the water supply, making it unsafe to drink.
[00:12:16] No shit.
[00:12:17] We know that.
[00:12:17] Contaminated water can cause a variety of health problems such as gastronitis, diarrhea, vomiting, respiratory disease, hepatitis, dysentery, anemia, it warned.
[00:12:26] So here's a whole bunch of things.
[00:12:27] All of those.
[00:12:29] And the thing is, those would be bad on a good day.
[00:12:32] But if you are recovering from a storm, means you're overexerting yourself, putting more effort into the cleanup.
[00:12:39] You're probably under a high level of stress.
[00:12:42] You may not have slept like you should have.
[00:12:44] You may not have eaten or drank like you should have.
[00:12:46] All of these, your body's already in a bad place.
[00:12:49] And then you add something like that.
[00:12:50] It ain't going to be good.
[00:12:51] Not even a little bit.
[00:12:54] So that's the look.
[00:12:56] This is what Global News had to talk about a little bit.
[00:12:59] Regarding some of the risks post-hurricane.
[00:13:02] And unfortunately, and especially for my friends down in the Florida area and North Carolina and even East Tennessee, it seems to become a way of life this last few weeks.
[00:13:12] So I'm glad everyone that we know in the community has come through it safe.
[00:13:16] But anyway, let's take a quick look here at the delinquents comments.
[00:13:21] And the big one, I wanted to see a couple of them here.
[00:13:24] Hold on.
[00:13:25] Pippin said, oh, Pippin wants to know how Ian's making out over in Tampa.
[00:13:29] Nice work with those trees.
[00:13:30] Yes.
[00:13:31] Quick shameless plug.
[00:13:32] Not a shameless plug.
[00:13:33] But here's the thing.
[00:13:36] So when the storm was going on down in the Florida area, Curtis, my son-in-law who was with me, he asked me, hey, how are our friends?
[00:13:44] Pippin and Ian and those guys doing down there.
[00:13:46] And you know what's great?
[00:13:47] We have the telegram group where all the delinquents can check in.
[00:13:51] It's one of those things that we just do.
[00:13:53] We share.
[00:13:54] We talk.
[00:13:55] We joke.
[00:13:57] We have about five different groups.
[00:13:58] But the main one is the workshop telegram group where all of us delinquents hang out.
[00:14:02] So if you want to come by and join, the link's in the description tonight.
[00:14:06] And if you do join, you'll have to be approved because we get a lot of crypto scammers and things.
[00:14:11] So we had one the other day who actually passed the human test for a minute.
[00:14:16] I asked them, hey, where did you find me?
[00:14:18] That usually seems to be the question.
[00:14:19] They said YouTube.
[00:14:20] I'm like, oh, okay.
[00:14:21] I'll live with that.
[00:14:22] And they got in and then started spamming us.
[00:14:24] So there you go.
[00:14:25] All right.
[00:14:25] Red Flyer Media says you don't want to run into cottonmouths.
[00:14:28] Red Flyer says here in STX, I'm going to say Southern Texas, we have copperheads, rattlers,
[00:14:35] cottonmouths, and coral snakes.
[00:14:37] Oh boy.
[00:14:37] That just sounds like a lot of fun.
[00:14:40] And Haas says, confirming if I heard you right, saltwater is a breeding ground for increased
[00:14:45] bacteria growth.
[00:14:46] So I did say that.
[00:14:48] Let me back up because we are alive, not Memorex for anybody who's out there.
[00:14:54] And old enough Gen X or older that knows that.
[00:14:57] Because I had never heard that before.
[00:14:59] And I want to make sure that we are going to, right here.
[00:15:02] All right.
[00:15:03] So this, if you guys can, you know what?
[00:15:05] I'm going to, let's bring it up even bigger for you.
[00:15:07] Here you go.
[00:15:08] I'm going to highlight it.
[00:15:09] So you can see that right in the middle.
[00:15:10] It says, vibrio bacteria commonly found in warm coastal water can cause illness when
[00:15:19] ingested or when open wounds are exposed to contaminated water.
[00:15:22] After heavy rainfall and flooding, the concentration of these bacterias may rise, particularly in
[00:15:29] brackish and saltwater environments.
[00:15:32] Okay.
[00:15:33] Let me back up.
[00:15:34] So I think I misread that slightly.
[00:15:36] I believe I said it was a breeding ground for them.
[00:15:39] I think I read that wrong.
[00:15:40] What it actually says is when the overflow of nasty water kind of flows into the salt
[00:15:47] water, it can increase the amount of bacteria.
[00:15:50] And the way I'm reading that is it probably washes it out of a dirty system and puts it into
[00:15:54] a saltwater system where you wouldn't expect bacteria to go.
[00:15:57] So thanks for clarifying that on the question there, Haas.
[00:16:01] And Ian says, Pippin, sitting by a bonfire with a cigar.
[00:16:04] Guess where I got the wood?
[00:16:06] Weather is great.
[00:16:07] Need to decide what to do with these roots.
[00:16:09] Then rake.
[00:16:09] Then it's all over for the yard.
[00:16:11] You know what?
[00:16:12] Let's have a drink to those folks because you guys did great.
[00:16:15] They both had to rush the hell home right after SRF, basically knowing they're heading into
[00:16:20] a hurricane within a day or two.
[00:16:22] And I'm glad you guys came out relatively unscathed.
[00:16:26] There we are.
[00:16:27] All right.
[00:16:28] Next story for the day.
[00:16:29] Let's bring this back up.
[00:16:31] This one here comes from Daily Chaos and that's K-O-S.
[00:16:36] This is a user submitted story.
[00:16:38] I really enjoyed it.
[00:16:40] You can definitely tell that this person is, I wanted to call it a closet prepper, but I
[00:16:45] don't think so.
[00:16:45] I mean, they wrote an article.
[00:16:47] Their name is Nate Dogg.
[00:16:48] And if you guys know the old song, Warren G, Regulate, Nate Dogg was his sidekick.
[00:16:53] So here we are.
[00:16:55] Prepper electronics for disasters or just camping.
[00:16:58] Really?
[00:16:59] Really?
[00:17:00] They have a lot in common.
[00:17:01] And I like this because this is a no-nonsense, accessible to the general public introduction
[00:17:07] to prepping.
[00:17:09] It says, at some point, I realized that camping is a great practice for emergency prepping.
[00:17:13] Got to think about food, shelter, bedding, clothing, and the focus of this diary, electronics.
[00:17:19] And I think by diary, they mean this user submitted story.
[00:17:24] I don't go camping just to sit around on my cell phone.
[00:17:27] And some areas don't have any cell phone coverage anyway.
[00:17:30] But it's good to have a charged phone for emergencies, to take pictures of nature, and
[00:17:34] to play music.
[00:17:37] Again, something that has multiple uses.
[00:17:39] I rarely buy something for prepping that doesn't have an everyday use.
[00:17:44] Now, you might say, Tim, I know why you do that.
[00:17:46] So you can justify it when you spend the money.
[00:17:48] Well, sure, there's a reason for that.
[00:17:49] But we all have, you know, a finite amount of money or time or anything that you want
[00:17:57] to invest in something.
[00:17:58] And for me, I want something to have multiple uses.
[00:18:02] Again, I'm not just going to build a cabin or an on my property in Tennessee simply as
[00:18:08] a bug location.
[00:18:09] Because if I did, it would end up like that dude that was in one of our early Stranger
[00:18:14] Than Fiction stories where he built a bunker in New Zealand.
[00:18:19] And it just molded and went to pieces because it had no practical everyday use for him at
[00:18:26] all.
[00:18:26] It was literally a bus underground with books and storage supplies and things.
[00:18:31] And when the dude got there to look it over, it had all rotten and went away.
[00:18:34] So again, it needs to have a practical everyday use.
[00:18:38] I was a little surprised that so many folks in recent hurricanes didn't have a way to charge
[00:18:43] their cell phones and sometimes their laptops.
[00:18:45] Any of you folks out there run into people like that?
[00:18:48] But I'll be honest.
[00:18:49] Well, Becky, she flew and I didn't send her with a battery bank.
[00:18:54] I know.
[00:18:55] These days, cell phone battery chargers are really cheap.
[00:18:58] This set of two cost me about $21.
[00:19:00] There's a picture here.
[00:19:01] You guys will see it in just a minute.
[00:19:03] Well, you'll see it on the live stream anyhow.
[00:19:05] Most cell phones have a 2000 milliamp hour battery.
[00:19:08] These chargers supposedly have 10,000 milliamp.
[00:19:12] But in reality, you're going to get about two charges.
[00:19:15] Now, here's the tip that this is worth the price of admission this evening.
[00:19:19] Great for an emergency or any situation.
[00:19:22] And my kids use them all the time.
[00:19:24] Cool.
[00:19:25] I love that.
[00:19:26] But here's the best part.
[00:19:27] But the kids kept losing them.
[00:19:30] So I started numbering them and I added Rick and Morty stickers.
[00:19:34] That helped.
[00:19:35] I always keep one of these in the car.
[00:19:37] So here's a number one and looks like a number 12.
[00:19:40] So they got a bunch of cheap battery packs around the house.
[00:19:44] That's kind of like how I've treated the NLU per chargeable batteries over the years.
[00:19:47] But I love this.
[00:19:48] The idea of making it fun for your kids.
[00:19:51] Number one, numbering them so you can keep track of them.
[00:19:54] But the Rick and Morty stickers, I can be honest.
[00:19:57] I've never seen an episode of Rick and Morty.
[00:19:59] But if I was into Rick and Morty and I was a, you know, nine-year-old kid, sure as shit,
[00:20:04] that's going to help me hold on to it just a little bit better.
[00:20:06] So good on you, mom or dad, whoever it was.
[00:20:08] I guess it's dad, Nate Dog.
[00:20:10] It's also a good idea to have lanterns for the night.
[00:20:13] Some of these lights hook up to a USB, such as the aforementioned battery chargers.
[00:20:17] Others, the three in the back picture here, need to be recharged off a bigger battery after that.
[00:20:23] The lanterns usually cost under $20.
[00:20:25] The one that I love is the Duracell one I got from Costco.
[00:20:28] Works great, but again, some sort of rechargeable source of light.
[00:20:33] So we've got power for your electronics, light so you don't kill yourself in the dark.
[00:20:38] And this one here is a really good one.
[00:20:40] Recently, I bought a 12,800 milliamp hour portable battery for jumpstarting a car,
[00:20:45] which has also got USB outlets for charging cell phones and should keep a laptop charged as well,
[00:20:50] though I haven't tested it yet.
[00:20:52] But this one was $35, and I keep it in the car all the time for obvious reasons.
[00:20:57] It makes sense.
[00:20:59] Again, practical prepping advice.
[00:21:01] This is a great article that is somewhat coached in the verbiage of camping,
[00:21:09] and that's what I like about this.
[00:21:10] It's accessible.
[00:21:12] It talks about practical every day.
[00:21:15] You know, again, you might see this in, I read it on the internet tonight, but the big thing
[00:21:19] on our preppers on Reddit is prepping for Tuesday, not for the end of the, you know,
[00:21:26] the world, right?
[00:21:28] Chris Dixon says, are you frozen or am I?
[00:21:30] Everything looks good on my end, folks.
[00:21:32] If anybody is having any trouble seeing me, just say something in the comments.
[00:21:37] But it could just be that the weather has turned somewhat cold here recently, Chris Dixon,
[00:21:42] but it's good to see you either way.
[00:21:46] It's me.
[00:21:46] It's always you, Dixon.
[00:21:47] I appreciate you.
[00:21:48] So a battery bank, a booster pack, some backup lights, and we got, where is it here?
[00:21:55] One more.
[00:21:56] But the top dog in my setup, and I love this.
[00:21:59] This is where Buddy took his prepping to just the next level.
[00:22:02] But the top dog in my setup is a 35 amp hour.
[00:22:06] That's 35,000 milliamp hour, 12 volt battery that I put inside a water resistant case together
[00:22:12] costing about 150 bucks.
[00:22:15] Sounds like he made his own kind of Jackery or something like that.
[00:22:18] This one runs my trolling motor.
[00:22:20] Again, do you see what he did there?
[00:22:22] A practical, somewhat everyday use.
[00:22:25] But attached to an inflatable raft for a couple hours.
[00:22:29] But I can also use it to charge the lanterns, batteries, etc.
[00:22:32] And the best feature is a 50 watt solar panel, a charge controller, which helps recharge the
[00:22:38] battery after boating.
[00:22:39] But the charging takes almost a full day.
[00:22:41] So I'm going to add one more panel and one more battery next year and see how that goes.
[00:22:46] Solar panels and batteries are just like Lay's potato chips.
[00:22:49] I bet you can't have just one.
[00:22:50] And that's what happens.
[00:22:52] You get addicted to backup power.
[00:22:54] Or propane and propane accessories.
[00:22:56] But here we are.
[00:22:57] I love that little setup.
[00:22:58] Dead simple.
[00:22:59] Works for anybody.
[00:23:00] Here, if you want to see an up close picture, guys, this is the trolling motor.
[00:23:05] He's got a little, what is that?
[00:23:06] A plano ball.
[00:23:07] Anyway, one of those weatherproof, impact persistent cases.
[00:23:11] Looks like maybe a Harbor Freight.
[00:23:13] And a very similar solar panel to the one that I had mounted on the back of my tailgate, my
[00:23:21] tonneau cover until it blew off in South Dakota.
[00:23:23] I have a new one, but I haven't reinstalled it yet.
[00:23:25] So hey guys, we got 30 live viewers in here tonight.
[00:23:28] What a great number.
[00:23:29] It's good to be back.
[00:23:30] So there you are.
[00:23:31] And if you need a normal household 1220 volt outlet for charging, thank you, Pelican box,
[00:23:37] Pipin says, for charging other random things like an air mattress with a built-in air pump,
[00:23:42] you can attach an inverter, which is my favorite solution to just about everything.
[00:23:47] Just like this one, 80 bucks to a 12 volt battery.
[00:23:50] And if there's anybody out there who doesn't know what an inverter is, that's okay.
[00:23:54] But it really is the simplest way to tap into that 40, 50, $80,000 generator you have sitting in your driveway.
[00:24:02] And that will let you tie into your battery, direct wire to your battery,
[00:24:06] or temporary wire with little alligator clips,
[00:24:09] and then run an extension cord into your home and give you, you know,
[00:24:13] a 120 volt outlet for just about anything, depending on the wattage of this.
[00:24:18] But they're great.
[00:24:19] Pick them up on Amazon.
[00:24:21] Enough said from that one.
[00:24:22] All right.
[00:24:23] Let's move on to the next article in Stranger Than Fiction.
[00:24:26] And here we go.
[00:24:27] This is a good one.
[00:24:28] How many of you guys like the Cybertruck?
[00:24:31] Because I know I don't.
[00:24:32] But this is an article about an accessory.
[00:24:34] Well, I guess it's an accessory that's more expensive than the Cybertruck itself.
[00:24:38] You know, aficionados of the Cybertruck, the Tesla, all of that,
[00:24:47] no matter what you think of them, they certainly have a knack for spending money
[00:24:51] and coming up with creative, prepper-centric ideas.
[00:24:54] And this one here is called the Cybertrailer.
[00:24:58] And it is not quite a quarter million dollars, but it's not that far off.
[00:25:03] $175,000 Cybertrailer generates its own power and water for off-grid living.
[00:25:09] Now, there is something in here, excuse me, that I hadn't heard of before,
[00:25:13] or at least outside of speculation and little conversation.
[00:25:17] I'd love to check it out.
[00:25:18] So here we go.
[00:25:19] Let's dive in to check this guy out.
[00:25:21] And for anybody who's in the audio play at home version,
[00:25:23] and you can't see what I'm talking about,
[00:25:25] the Cybertrailer is every bit as ugly as the Cybertruck itself.
[00:25:31] Living off the grid typically comes with some serious challenges.
[00:25:34] The living vehicle Cybertrailer aims to solve just about all of them,
[00:25:38] albeit with one caveat,
[00:25:40] its price tag will likely dwarf even the Cybertrucks.
[00:25:43] In other words, it's expensive.
[00:25:46] This futuristic trailer will not only,
[00:25:48] will not only create its own water.
[00:25:51] Listen to this, guys.
[00:25:52] This is, I don't,
[00:25:53] if anybody has messed with these systems,
[00:25:55] I'd like to hear from you.
[00:25:56] I wouldn't mind getting somebody on here who's an expert on them
[00:25:58] to do an interview,
[00:25:59] but create its own water from the air
[00:26:02] and generate power from the sun.
[00:26:04] But it's also,
[00:26:05] but it also offers an opinion splitting design at the same time.
[00:26:09] I don't know.
[00:26:09] I think it's pretty obviously ugly,
[00:26:11] but hey,
[00:26:12] I'm not super keen on what it looks like
[00:26:15] as long as it functions well.
[00:26:17] And here's a deeper look.
[00:26:19] The living vehicle might not be a brand you've ever heard of.
[00:26:22] It wasn't for me either,
[00:26:23] but it deals exclusively with high-end off-grid focused trailers.
[00:26:29] The Cybertrailer,
[00:26:30] which starts at a whopping hundred,
[00:26:32] dude,
[00:26:33] I just realized after prepping this,
[00:26:36] starts at,
[00:26:37] comes before $175,000.
[00:26:40] Man.
[00:26:41] Starts at,
[00:26:42] did you guys catch that?
[00:26:43] That starts at $175,000.
[00:26:45] Aims to serve exactly that type of customer.
[00:26:47] It's compatible with both electric and combustion engines.
[00:26:51] Now,
[00:26:52] EVs are notoriously overmatched when it comes to long haul towing,
[00:26:55] but the Cybertrailer has a moderate,
[00:26:58] I inserted the word moderate,
[00:27:00] trick up its sleeve for that.
[00:27:01] And you'll see why.
[00:27:04] Because,
[00:27:05] anyway,
[00:27:05] well,
[00:27:06] let me keep going.
[00:27:06] It'll offer tow vehicle charging,
[00:27:09] meaning that in theory,
[00:27:10] a Cybertruck,
[00:27:11] Rivian R1T,
[00:27:12] or Ford F-50 Lightning owner,
[00:27:14] could tow the Cybertrailer off-road,
[00:27:17] and then fill up with the juice from the trailer itself.
[00:27:20] Great idea.
[00:27:21] It would have to have one hell of a battery bank in there,
[00:27:23] but that's not your biggest problem.
[00:27:24] It's getting the battery bank recharged on the go,
[00:27:28] or,
[00:27:28] you know,
[00:27:29] once you're on location.
[00:27:30] Of course,
[00:27:31] there's no telling how long that might take,
[00:27:33] as the main way it generates power
[00:27:35] is via solar panels.
[00:27:37] Living vehicle doesn't say exactly how much energy storage is on board,
[00:27:40] but does clarify that it has backup power systems.
[00:27:44] So,
[00:27:45] so yeah,
[00:27:46] you can charge your vehicle off of the internal battery system,
[00:27:50] whatever this trailer has,
[00:27:51] which is kind of cool,
[00:27:52] I guess.
[00:27:53] I don't think you're going to get a ton off it,
[00:27:55] but bear with me,
[00:27:56] because this isn't why I shared this article.
[00:27:59] Here it is.
[00:28:00] Well,
[00:28:00] okay.
[00:28:00] Um,
[00:28:03] there's a great feature since it allows flexibility in terms of location.
[00:28:06] Family could find a place way off the beaten path,
[00:28:10] leave the trailer,
[00:28:10] go exploring in the tow vehicle.
[00:28:12] At the same time,
[00:28:13] anyone who stays back would have still have a fully functioning dwelling space.
[00:28:16] Now,
[00:28:17] not to be a dick,
[00:28:18] but that's literally the definition of a tow behind RV.
[00:28:22] I mean,
[00:28:23] that's existed for just about whatever,
[00:28:25] not a big deal.
[00:28:26] I'm not saying it's not,
[00:28:27] you know,
[00:28:28] but the next feature is really cool.
[00:28:31] But literally that's the idea behind,
[00:28:33] you know,
[00:28:34] an off-road camping trailer.
[00:28:35] You pull up,
[00:28:36] you park,
[00:28:36] you unhook,
[00:28:37] and the car goes off into the,
[00:28:40] you know,
[00:28:41] the woods,
[00:28:41] you do your thing and you come back.
[00:28:42] So here's the one that I like,
[00:28:44] and I'd like to check this out a bit more.
[00:28:46] And the cyber trailer will like other living vehicle models create its own water supply
[00:28:52] via a water gen atmospheric water generator.
[00:28:56] That's a mouthful water gen atmospheric water generator.
[00:28:59] The system can create several gallons of fresh,
[00:29:02] clean drinking water each day,
[00:29:04] depending on humidity and temperature.
[00:29:07] LV says that deliveries will begin in 2025.
[00:29:09] And if you want to sign up,
[00:29:11] it's only a hundred dollars.
[00:29:13] The honor of signing up for a hundred dollars.
[00:29:15] There you go.
[00:29:15] I mean,
[00:29:16] it's about putting your money where your mouth is,
[00:29:18] but I really like this.
[00:29:20] I I'd like to look into this.
[00:29:22] I'm surprised.
[00:29:23] And maybe they're super expensive.
[00:29:25] I don't know,
[00:29:25] but let's see what the delinquents have to say.
[00:29:27] We've got a bunch of comments here,
[00:29:29] but piping Pippin says,
[00:29:30] cyber truck owners sound like they're ticked about needing new tires after 6,000 miles,
[00:29:36] 9,600 kilometers.
[00:29:38] I at least got 35,000 out of mine kilometers,
[00:29:42] which is about three times that.
[00:29:44] But yeah,
[00:29:46] I mistreated them and I didn't get them rotated on alignment time.
[00:29:50] But man,
[00:29:52] yeah,
[00:29:52] but when you've got that kind of torque behind an engine,
[00:29:54] of course,
[00:29:55] you're going to wear tires out quickly.
[00:29:58] And Jeff Stark,
[00:29:59] good to see the Starks back in here this evening.
[00:30:01] Cyberpunk is ugly.
[00:30:02] I do not disagree.
[00:30:04] And Pippin says,
[00:30:06] wonder if the camper has a Tesla wall battery inside.
[00:30:09] It's actually a really good idea.
[00:30:11] And it probably makes sense.
[00:30:13] L2 survive.
[00:30:14] Great to see you.
[00:30:15] The dehumidifier takes water out of the air.
[00:30:17] If run that water through a water purifier,
[00:30:19] you can get water from the air.
[00:30:21] That's a good point,
[00:30:22] actually.
[00:30:22] And a simple everyday solution to something that,
[00:30:26] you know,
[00:30:27] probably isn't that bad,
[00:30:28] but oh,
[00:30:29] and Pippin says,
[00:30:31] it's not the torque.
[00:30:32] It's the weight of the EV vehicles.
[00:30:34] Also good to know.
[00:30:35] So are they not putting like,
[00:30:38] I can't,
[00:30:39] what,
[00:30:39] what are the thick heavy duty tires?
[00:30:41] They're like what,
[00:30:42] 11 or 12 ply.
[00:30:43] If you're highway hauling and stuff like that,
[00:30:45] are they not putting stuff like that on there?
[00:30:47] Or is it just,
[00:30:49] you know,
[00:30:49] I don't know.
[00:30:50] Interesting anyway,
[00:30:51] but yeah,
[00:30:51] they are a heavy vehicle and John Palmer.
[00:30:54] Great to see you.
[00:30:55] And Pippin says,
[00:30:56] I'm trying to recall the dude who invented a machine that sucks water out of
[00:31:00] the atmosphere.
[00:31:01] All right.
[00:31:02] From here,
[00:31:03] guys,
[00:31:04] let's slide on 12 ply there.
[00:31:06] Thank you.
[00:31:06] Yeah.
[00:31:07] So if anybody knows,
[00:31:09] are they putting like 12 ply tires or is that just more of protection against
[00:31:13] punctures and blowouts for,
[00:31:15] you know,
[00:31:16] high speed towing and that sort of thing?
[00:31:17] Or anyway,
[00:31:19] one of those things.
[00:31:21] And Ian says,
[00:31:22] are there any risks with filtering and drinking dehumidifier?
[00:31:25] I thought about it before,
[00:31:27] but was worried to even give it to my dog.
[00:31:29] It's a really good question,
[00:31:32] Ian,
[00:31:32] that I don't know if I've ever looked up the answer to,
[00:31:35] because I've always,
[00:31:36] I think my mom always said,
[00:31:38] don't drink that water,
[00:31:39] but I don't know.
[00:31:40] Let's see.
[00:31:41] Are there any risks in drinking dehumidifier water?
[00:31:48] Is that what we're looking for?
[00:31:51] No,
[00:31:52] the water collected from a dehumidifier is generally not considered safe to drink without proper filtration and treatment.
[00:31:58] While the condensed water is initially pure because it leaves behind the impurities when evaporating in the air,
[00:32:02] it can quickly become contaminated in the dehumidifier's collection tank.
[00:32:08] Hmm.
[00:32:09] I'm not going to give any advice.
[00:32:10] That's all we're going to read about this for now.
[00:32:12] But what I'm thinking is,
[00:32:13] if you just enclosed it and made sure it was sanitized ahead of time,
[00:32:18] you might be able to do okay.
[00:32:20] Yeah.
[00:32:20] And Ian says,
[00:32:21] my catchment chamber gets a little slimy.
[00:32:22] They do really quickly.
[00:32:24] But if you cleaned it out with bleach every day,
[00:32:27] I don't know.
[00:32:32] But I'm probably wrong here.
[00:32:34] So I'm not going to give a reason for that.
[00:32:37] And,
[00:32:37] uh,
[00:32:39] cyber truck tires are LT 285,
[00:32:42] 65,
[00:32:42] 20,
[00:32:42] and they're a 10 ply.
[00:32:44] So they're not cheap tires.
[00:32:46] They're not,
[00:32:46] you know,
[00:32:47] good enough.
[00:32:49] All right.
[00:32:49] Next folks,
[00:32:50] we are going to roll into the prepper files.
[00:32:54] And if you remember that segment,
[00:32:56] it is simply where we take a look back at this day in history.
[00:33:00] In today's day in history is something I remember.
[00:33:04] Like yesterday.
[00:33:05] And it was 35 years ago.
[00:33:06] I am sorry for making anybody feel old,
[00:33:08] but here you go.
[00:33:10] 35 years ago.
[00:33:12] Can you believe 1989 was 35 years ago?
[00:33:15] San Francisco earthquake of 1989.
[00:33:18] Now my dad and I was,
[00:33:19] was watching.
[00:33:21] This is what we call the world series earthquake.
[00:33:24] Dad and I were watching the world series that year.
[00:33:28] And we remember the TV going off or,
[00:33:31] you know,
[00:33:31] the signal cutting out.
[00:33:32] And then we found out in the news shortly after you didn't find out instantly on Twitter back in 1989,
[00:33:36] but I was eight year old,
[00:33:38] Tim.
[00:33:39] Dad was whatever he would be.
[00:33:41] 31 at the time,
[00:33:42] 30,
[00:33:42] 33 something.
[00:33:44] And yeah,
[00:33:45] it was pretty scary.
[00:33:46] I remember the footage of the bridge collapsing.
[00:33:47] You can see that right here in the picture.
[00:33:50] There was a lot of people lost.
[00:33:52] It was a really nasty earthquake in a really kind of condensed populous area.
[00:33:57] And it was scary as all hell.
[00:33:59] It was scary.
[00:34:00] 63 deaths,
[00:34:01] 3,800 injuries,
[00:34:02] and an estimated 6 billion in property damage.
[00:34:05] It was the strongest earthquake to hit the area since the 1906 earthquake.
[00:34:09] Scary,
[00:34:10] crazy.
[00:34:11] I have less than zero experience with earthquakes.
[00:34:15] It's one of those things that we need that I would love,
[00:34:18] again,
[00:34:19] maybe to have an expert come on and we could talk about earthquakes at some point.
[00:34:22] But it's definitely not something that I am at least equipped to teach on at this time.
[00:34:26] I hope I don't ever have to have the life experience to live through it.
[00:34:30] But yeah,
[00:34:30] anyway,
[00:34:31] there is this week in Prepper Files.
[00:34:34] All right,
[00:34:34] let's pop back over here.
[00:34:36] Gunfighter says,
[00:34:37] I'm in Florida.
[00:34:38] I've taken the water to dehumidifiers,
[00:34:40] put it through my Berkey when we're out of power.
[00:34:42] Good to know.
[00:34:44] And Haas says,
[00:34:45] he remembers when the TV went off during the game.
[00:34:47] It was a crazy situation,
[00:34:49] guys.
[00:34:50] And L2 Survive says,
[00:34:51] water is water.
[00:34:52] It's all dinosaur pee.
[00:34:54] If you purify the water,
[00:34:55] you get purified water.
[00:34:56] Makes sense.
[00:34:57] Think of the water you pull over the lake and purify.
[00:34:59] That water has a lot of chances to get shit in it.
[00:35:01] Sorry,
[00:35:01] stuff in it.
[00:35:03] Nice.
[00:35:03] Yeah,
[00:35:03] so it makes sense.
[00:35:04] I think we've learned something this evening,
[00:35:06] which is,
[00:35:06] again,
[00:35:07] worth the price of admission.
[00:35:08] Hey,
[00:35:08] folks.
[00:35:10] All right,
[00:35:11] what do we got next here,
[00:35:12] folks?
[00:35:12] Let's dive right in.
[00:35:16] He's dead.
[00:35:17] They're all dead.
[00:35:18] Everyone,
[00:35:18] you and I are in a dead world.
[00:35:19] And I'm glad it's dead.
[00:35:21] Cheap,
[00:35:21] honky tonk of a world.
[00:35:23] Coming up next is Workshop Wasteland.
[00:35:28] Workshop Wasteland,
[00:35:29] one of my favorite segments of the week.
[00:35:30] And this is where we take a look at post-apocalyptic and dystopian media,
[00:35:35] movies,
[00:35:36] books,
[00:35:36] video games.
[00:35:37] But before we do that,
[00:35:38] I got one more comment here to read regarding the San Francisco earthquake.
[00:35:42] This is our local multimedia expert who has worked in the TV industry for a while.
[00:35:47] Red and Flyer Media.
[00:35:49] Rebecca,
[00:35:49] good to see you.
[00:35:50] It was the first month I worked in TV.
[00:35:52] Crazy time to be in media when it happened.
[00:35:54] We had a TV crew there for something else and they got all sorts of footage.
[00:35:59] It was a crazy,
[00:36:00] man,
[00:36:00] anyway,
[00:36:00] being a,
[00:36:01] you know,
[00:36:01] a tiny little East Coast Canadian,
[00:36:03] eh?
[00:36:04] We never really had much,
[00:36:07] well,
[00:36:07] no experience with that sort of thing,
[00:36:08] but we certainly got to see it up close on TV.
[00:36:11] All right.
[00:36:11] So we got three quick articles in the workshop wasteland.
[00:36:15] This first one,
[00:36:16] just heard about it the other day.
[00:36:18] If you're a video gamer,
[00:36:19] which in another lifetime I might've been,
[00:36:22] I just don't have the time,
[00:36:23] the interest or the desire anymore.
[00:36:25] Every so often I think about it,
[00:36:27] but this is like SimCity,
[00:36:29] I guess it's called City 20.
[00:36:31] And it is basically a post-apocalyptic city building kind of video game.
[00:36:37] It's available in all places.
[00:36:39] It says City 20 is a secret nuclear city quarantined after a radioactive leak and left to starve.
[00:36:45] As one of the survivors inhibiting,
[00:36:47] inhabiting City 20 years after the accident,
[00:36:50] you must survive within the sandbox using the environment and society to your advantage.
[00:36:55] You're completely free to choose how to play and what to do,
[00:36:58] but be aware the world actively adapts and changes depending on your actions.
[00:37:02] It's up to you to work with or against the world.
[00:37:06] Okay.
[00:37:06] I guess it's a little more of an exploration survival style game,
[00:37:10] but you see it.
[00:37:11] It's not,
[00:37:11] you know,
[00:37:12] not super expensive looking.
[00:37:14] I think it's an indie game,
[00:37:16] but definitely worth trying if you're out there looking to play,
[00:37:20] you know,
[00:37:21] a post-apocalyptic kind of wasteland video game.
[00:37:24] All right.
[00:37:25] Next,
[00:37:25] this one's kind of cool.
[00:37:27] The only other,
[00:37:28] well,
[00:37:28] I've seen a couple of post-apocalyptic movies filmed in Canada.
[00:37:33] And the first one is Pontypool,
[00:37:36] which is one of my all time favorite.
[00:37:38] If you've never seen it,
[00:37:40] it's about a zombie outbreak that takes place in a,
[00:37:44] I believe it's another small Saskatchewan town.
[00:37:47] And you don't get to see it.
[00:37:49] You just hear it through radio announcement,
[00:37:52] radio announcements and phoned in interviewers and like reporters on the spot.
[00:37:58] Great film.
[00:37:58] One of my all time favorites,
[00:38:01] but this one here,
[00:38:03] this is new.
[00:38:04] It has Carrie Ann Moss and it has Frank Grillo in it.
[00:38:07] I believe Frank Grillo is a fairly well-known video game voice actor,
[00:38:11] but Carrie Ann Moss,
[00:38:13] you'll know her as a Trinity from the matrix.
[00:38:16] But this is a bit of a zombie,
[00:38:19] bit of an outbreak movie.
[00:38:21] It was filmed last summer on the badlands,
[00:38:24] you know,
[00:38:24] on the,
[00:38:25] the beautiful tundra that is Saskatchewan.
[00:38:28] And here you go.
[00:38:29] It tells the story of a young man who has amnesia.
[00:38:31] He bands together with a rugged survivalist in a zombie like outbreak to find his girlfriend.
[00:38:37] So she plays kind of a Laurie Stroud kind of character from Halloween.
[00:38:43] This is,
[00:38:44] she's like a,
[00:38:45] an all by herself survivalist.
[00:38:47] This kid has amnesia.
[00:38:48] She finds him and they kind of survived together.
[00:38:52] It has a bit of a twist.
[00:38:53] The script,
[00:38:54] it was a,
[00:38:54] a dust collecting script from over 10 years ago.
[00:38:58] Kind of one of those that people want.
[00:39:00] Oh,
[00:39:01] I just read Chris Dixon's comment.
[00:39:02] I'll get to it.
[00:39:03] I'll read it here in a minute for you guys.
[00:39:06] But yeah,
[00:39:07] anyway,
[00:39:07] she kind of survives with him and it looks like I'm going to watch it.
[00:39:12] It's out on VOD video on demand.
[00:39:14] Now,
[00:39:14] when Becky gets home,
[00:39:15] we'll sit down and watch it.
[00:39:16] I'll let you know beforehand.
[00:39:17] I know that not all our tastes are the same,
[00:39:21] but it's definitely interesting enough.
[00:39:22] So it has a bit of a cross with the last of us as well,
[00:39:25] because there's a bit of a fungus kind of the zombie outbreak kind of turns people into
[00:39:31] plant matter.
[00:39:32] The effects look really good.
[00:39:33] And as long as the acting's good,
[00:39:35] I can handle it.
[00:39:36] I'll be absolutely honest.
[00:39:38] The cover looks a bit like something that you would see.
[00:39:42] Oh,
[00:39:43] sorry.
[00:39:43] Die Alone.
[00:39:44] Let me bring that up bigger for you here,
[00:39:45] guys.
[00:39:46] The movie's called Die Alone.
[00:39:48] There you are.
[00:39:49] And this was,
[00:39:50] this is the cover.
[00:39:51] It doesn't,
[00:39:52] you know,
[00:39:53] the poster art looks a little bit like a mock buster or something you would see after
[00:40:00] scrolling over four or five pages on Amazon prime,
[00:40:04] but I'm willing to give it a shot.
[00:40:06] I was quite excited to see it was filmed in Saskatchewan post-apocalyptic and with at
[00:40:11] least a couple of name actors.
[00:40:13] So there you go.
[00:40:15] All right.
[00:40:15] What do we got next?
[00:40:16] Let's bring it up.
[00:40:17] We have the electric city.
[00:40:21] This is,
[00:40:21] or the electric state.
[00:40:22] This is one that I have been kind of excited to see,
[00:40:26] but I guess we'll,
[00:40:28] so it,
[00:40:29] all right.
[00:40:30] The actors in it,
[00:40:31] not so sure,
[00:40:33] but it's got Millie Bobby Brown,
[00:40:34] the one that plays 11 from stranger things and Chris Pratt from guardians of the galaxy.
[00:40:39] You know,
[00:40:40] both interesting actors.
[00:40:42] I like Chris Pratt more than I like Millie Bobby Brown.
[00:40:44] No offense,
[00:40:45] Millie Bobby.
[00:40:46] I'm just not a big fan of her acting.
[00:40:48] However,
[00:40:48] this one is adapted and directed by the Russo brothers.
[00:40:53] If you're like,
[00:40:54] damn,
[00:40:54] that name sounds familiar.
[00:40:55] They did all of the good Avengers movies and the gray man.
[00:41:00] And the gray man too on Netflix.
[00:41:02] So they know action.
[00:41:03] Oh,
[00:41:03] they also did winter soldier,
[00:41:06] which might be my favorite Marvel movie.
[00:41:09] So this is adapted from a graphic novel,
[00:41:13] fancy name for adult comic books.
[00:41:15] And it's basically,
[00:41:17] if robots existed in the nineties,
[00:41:20] the world kind of ended in the nineties,
[00:41:22] they became sentient and humanity and robots kind of,
[00:41:26] some of them went to war.
[00:41:27] Some of them kept their sensibilities.
[00:41:30] And,
[00:41:31] um,
[00:41:31] the trailer opens with champagne supernova slowed way down.
[00:41:37] So typical post-apocalyptic fashion.
[00:41:39] It looks fun.
[00:41:41] It's going to be on Netflix in March.
[00:41:43] Check it out.
[00:41:43] If you want to,
[00:41:44] it is called the electric state.
[00:41:47] I obviously can't show the trailer for copyright reasons,
[00:41:52] of course,
[00:41:53] but there you go.
[00:41:54] All right.
[00:41:55] What do we got here?
[00:41:57] Chris Dixon says,
[00:41:58] you'd have to have amnesia to live in Saskatchewan.
[00:42:01] Oh boy.
[00:42:02] Yeah,
[00:42:02] we did it for six months and that was,
[00:42:04] uh,
[00:42:04] five and a half months too long.
[00:42:06] Coldest,
[00:42:07] driest winter I ever experienced.
[00:42:09] And,
[00:42:09] uh,
[00:42:09] you literally could see your dog run away from you for three days afterwards.
[00:42:13] Pippin still plays days or Daisy.
[00:42:15] And,
[00:42:15] uh,
[00:42:16] I,
[00:42:16] I have it.
[00:42:17] I played it a little bit.
[00:42:18] I,
[00:42:18] I really enjoyed what I did.
[00:42:20] And Pippin says,
[00:42:21] blade was my favorite Marvel movie.
[00:42:23] Argue if you must.
[00:42:24] Ah,
[00:42:24] it's all right.
[00:42:25] I won't argue with you.
[00:42:26] I can see that.
[00:42:27] You know,
[00:42:27] uh,
[00:42:28] I,
[00:42:28] I don't always love Wesley Snipes,
[00:42:30] but the blade movies were really good.
[00:42:34] All right.
[00:42:34] Sliding right on folks.
[00:42:36] Where do we go from here?
[00:42:39] And you stay on the back roads and you keep your gun handy.
[00:42:42] Our country is still full of thieving,
[00:42:44] murdering patriots.
[00:42:45] Get ready for I read it on the internet.
[00:42:50] I read it on the internet guys.
[00:42:52] That is where we take a look at the front page of the internet,
[00:42:55] otherwise known as Reddit or otherwise known as a cesspool of human activity.
[00:43:00] But anyhow,
[00:43:01] I digress.
[00:43:02] However,
[00:43:03] since you don't have to go there,
[00:43:05] I do.
[00:43:06] I'll go to our preppers,
[00:43:07] which is the biggest prepping subgroup on Reddit.
[00:43:10] And I like to pick out the biggest or,
[00:43:12] you know,
[00:43:13] a couple of the biggest articles.
[00:43:15] Or posts that are on there full of good discussion.
[00:43:18] So this one here,
[00:43:18] again,
[00:43:19] a lot of content on the hurricanes tonight,
[00:43:23] but then the next one ties into hurricanes,
[00:43:25] but we'll deal with it.
[00:43:26] Here we are lessons from Milton.
[00:43:29] And this one is from username hefty negotiation,
[00:43:33] 825.
[00:43:35] I think I just really enjoy reading the usernames from Reddit.
[00:43:39] All right.
[00:43:39] Let's start off by saying some of these things might be common sense or knowledge
[00:43:43] to some that camp or have physical jobs.
[00:43:46] Fair.
[00:43:47] I'm going to bring this up so you guys can see it.
[00:43:49] The text on this is really small.
[00:43:51] So if this helps you just a bit,
[00:43:52] hygiene is more important than ever.
[00:43:54] I was doing debris cleanup for the last few days and got drenched while doing it.
[00:43:58] Anyone who has done sports or any physical labor knows it doesn't take long for things to get swampy
[00:44:03] where the sun don't shine.
[00:44:05] If a rash develops and you get raw down there,
[00:44:07] it'll seriously hamper your ability to move around.
[00:44:10] Having two kids,
[00:44:11] I have no shortage of baby wipes.
[00:44:13] And those are an easy way to wipe yourself clean.
[00:44:15] Cheaper than dude wipes.
[00:44:17] Having the proper no ride underwear and petroleum jelly or other healing ointments
[00:44:21] can go a long way in preventing any chafing.
[00:44:23] I second that.
[00:44:24] Dude wipes are great.
[00:44:25] We don't even have little kids anymore.
[00:44:27] We keep baby wipes off around by the case.
[00:44:30] They're great for cleaning up after chihuahuas,
[00:44:32] but they're also great for cleaning up in other regions.
[00:44:35] Something that,
[00:44:36] you know,
[00:44:37] the older people in my family used was baby powder.
[00:44:40] That helps with rashes,
[00:44:41] wetness,
[00:44:42] that kind of stuff.
[00:44:43] But again,
[00:44:44] petroleum jelly is great.
[00:44:45] And having underwear that don't slide around on you will help a lot.
[00:44:50] Because boy,
[00:44:51] you get start developing some hot spots in the unmentionable areas.
[00:44:55] You could be in some world of hurt pretty quick.
[00:44:58] Next,
[00:44:59] being prepared with plenty of non-perishables in water
[00:45:01] was such a weight off my shoulders.
[00:45:04] Guys,
[00:45:04] that makes me smile just to hear that.
[00:45:06] I love hearing people say that because good for them.
[00:45:08] They did what they needed to do,
[00:45:10] especially with a wife and kids.
[00:45:11] It allowed me to focus on other preparations
[00:45:14] that might not have been done
[00:45:15] had I needed to go out and grab food and water,
[00:45:18] not to mention dealing with everyone else doing the same.
[00:45:21] See,
[00:45:22] number one,
[00:45:23] it takes the stress off you
[00:45:24] because you can handle the actual emergencies
[00:45:27] in and when they're happening.
[00:45:29] But it also saves you from getting into other bad situations
[00:45:33] when you go out with the roving masses
[00:45:34] trying to collect the last bag of pretzels
[00:45:38] because that's what your wife wants.
[00:45:40] I remember many,
[00:45:41] many moons ago,
[00:45:43] we had,
[00:45:44] we called it hurricane wand or winter wand
[00:45:47] and a white wand,
[00:45:48] sorry.
[00:45:48] And it was a hurricane in the wintertime
[00:45:50] that came as a blizzard.
[00:45:52] The grocery stores were shut down
[00:45:53] for two or three days
[00:45:54] and they opened,
[00:45:57] but cash only,
[00:45:57] everything had to be handwritten.
[00:45:59] And it was for just the essentials.
[00:46:01] It was for things like milk
[00:46:03] and baby formula
[00:46:04] and diapers
[00:46:05] and bread
[00:46:06] and cheese.
[00:46:07] And people come in with the,
[00:46:09] you know,
[00:46:09] they wanted chips,
[00:46:10] they wanted pop.
[00:46:11] Listen,
[00:46:11] I get it,
[00:46:11] but we just weren't allowed to let them get it.
[00:46:13] It was just the absolute basics
[00:46:15] in and out.
[00:46:17] So again,
[00:46:18] when you have that,
[00:46:19] the crazy stupid decisions people make
[00:46:21] when the shit hits the fan,
[00:46:23] I use a Milwaukee,
[00:46:24] I use Milwaukee powered tools for work.
[00:46:26] So I got a bunch of batteries.
[00:46:28] Having a few of the battery fans is amazing.
[00:46:30] Got,
[00:46:31] got a few.
[00:46:32] I'll talk about that in a minute too.
[00:46:34] Pippin wants to know about a hurricane blizzard.
[00:46:35] Yeah.
[00:46:36] It sounds like a shark NATO,
[00:46:38] doesn't it?
[00:46:38] I use Milwaukee powered tools.
[00:46:40] So I had a bunch of batteries.
[00:46:41] Having a few of the battery fans is amazing.
[00:46:43] I can put one in each room
[00:46:44] where we're falling asleep.
[00:46:46] Makes nights comfortable
[00:46:47] and even had to turn it off one night
[00:46:49] as we got too cold.
[00:46:50] Thanks to the cooler nights this last week.
[00:46:53] Had it happened in peak summer,
[00:46:54] the fans would have been even more critical.
[00:46:56] I have picked up a few battery powered fans
[00:46:59] that I'm going to test next spring.
[00:47:01] Two reasons.
[00:47:02] Number one,
[00:47:03] for review content,
[00:47:04] but also so that we have to use them
[00:47:06] down at the Tennessee property.
[00:47:08] Now I've been four days without power
[00:47:10] and I've used a lot of my prep items.
[00:47:11] It's been quite satisfying
[00:47:13] to have the preparations work as intended
[00:47:14] and has helped me tweak
[00:47:15] or modify my current plans.
[00:47:17] For those who haven't had to go through a situation
[00:47:20] where they need to use their gear
[00:47:21] or setups,
[00:47:22] keep prepping.
[00:47:23] I love it.
[00:47:24] It is so worth it
[00:47:25] and it will allow you to help others
[00:47:27] and yourself in a crisis.
[00:47:29] My neighbors thankfully are similar to me
[00:47:31] and have some measures of prep,
[00:47:33] but we have been able to come together
[00:47:34] as a community
[00:47:35] and help others that don't have the means,
[00:47:37] but don't let others know you're prepared.
[00:47:40] Good piece of advice.
[00:47:41] If that is your attitude about it,
[00:47:43] fine,
[00:47:47] great.
[00:47:48] I love it.
[00:47:49] Nothing wrong with that at all.
[00:47:50] What a success story
[00:47:51] coming out of a hurricane.
[00:47:55] All right.
[00:47:56] Haas says,
[00:47:57] let's go back to the delinquents here
[00:47:58] for a moment.
[00:47:59] They're talking about
[00:48:00] a possible new Blade movie.
[00:48:01] Yeah.
[00:48:01] If you've seen the new
[00:48:04] Deadpool Wolverine movie,
[00:48:05] yeah,
[00:48:06] I'll leave it at that.
[00:48:07] Marvel has been trying to film
[00:48:09] a reboot of Blade for several years.
[00:48:10] W. Snipe said in an interview
[00:48:12] as he's on Deadpool 38.
[00:48:15] Pippin says,
[00:48:16] wait,
[00:48:16] Tim,
[00:48:17] a hurricane blizzard?
[00:48:19] Yes.
[00:48:21] And Chris Dixon says,
[00:48:22] 80 mile an hour winds
[00:48:23] in 20 inches of snow.
[00:48:24] Yep.
[00:48:25] Hurricane blizzard.
[00:48:26] So we had what was called,
[00:48:29] well,
[00:48:29] actually let's back up.
[00:48:30] My first year living on my own.
[00:48:33] So it would have been 2004.
[00:48:34] I think I was in that little apartment
[00:48:37] and in September,
[00:48:38] we actually had a full fledged,
[00:48:41] you know,
[00:48:42] whatever the lowest strength hurricane was
[00:48:44] made landfall in Halifax,
[00:48:46] Nova Scotia,
[00:48:47] completely missed us.
[00:48:48] We had sunny skies and,
[00:48:50] you know,
[00:48:51] fair to midland winds,
[00:48:53] but it was hurricane one.
[00:48:55] And it was the most damaging hurricane
[00:48:56] that we'd had since the Groundhog Day
[00:48:59] hurricane in the seventies.
[00:49:01] So it was well known.
[00:49:02] And a few months later,
[00:49:04] in February,
[00:49:06] we had a,
[00:49:07] I mean,
[00:49:08] I mean,
[00:49:08] now it wasn't called a hurricane,
[00:49:10] but it was hurricane strength winds
[00:49:12] with a blizzard.
[00:49:13] And it was just like that.
[00:49:15] There was a hundred and I'll have to,
[00:49:16] I'll do the math for you.
[00:49:17] I've talked about it on some earlier episodes of this,
[00:49:21] but I believe it was something like 123 centimeters of snow
[00:49:25] in some crazy places.
[00:49:26] It was absolutely insane.
[00:49:30] Let's bring that up on the screen here for you.
[00:49:32] And we will scroll through it together.
[00:49:34] There was a,
[00:49:35] the Atlantic blizzard.
[00:49:36] It's called,
[00:49:37] here it is.
[00:49:38] White wand.
[00:49:39] Nowadays,
[00:49:40] that might not be as a politically correct name.
[00:49:42] I don't know,
[00:49:42] but Pippin says,
[00:49:44] fuck that shit.
[00:49:46] White wand is the unofficial name gave to the hurricane strength,
[00:49:49] nor Easter blizzard,
[00:49:51] a February aught four that affected most of Atlantic Canada.
[00:49:54] Now here it is here.
[00:49:55] Highest winds,
[00:49:57] 77 miles per hour.
[00:49:58] So pretty close,
[00:49:59] 124 kilometers an hour.
[00:50:01] Maximum snowfall,
[00:50:03] 95 centimeters or nearly 38 inches.
[00:50:07] Yep.
[00:50:08] Enough of that.
[00:50:09] I saw drifts that were,
[00:50:13] Oh man.
[00:50:14] I,
[00:50:14] it was insane.
[00:50:15] They were eight,
[00:50:17] 10 feet high.
[00:50:19] While we went downtown and there's a pizza place called Ricardo's and above it,
[00:50:23] there's apartments and there's a balcony,
[00:50:25] a second floor balcony that the drifts were literally touching the bottom of that
[00:50:29] balcony.
[00:50:31] My God rest his soul,
[00:50:32] Poe.
[00:50:32] I always called him my third grandfather.
[00:50:34] He was one of my good friends,
[00:50:35] grandfathers.
[00:50:36] He was out in the middle of the blizzard blowing snow with his snowblower.
[00:50:40] And I laughed and I looked at him.
[00:50:41] I said,
[00:50:41] what are you doing Poe?
[00:50:43] And he said,
[00:50:43] if I don't start now,
[00:50:45] it'll never get done.
[00:50:46] If I don't stay on top of it,
[00:50:47] it'll be so thick.
[00:50:48] I'll have to bring in an excavator to clear it.
[00:50:50] I always remembered that afterwards.
[00:50:52] I never waited until the storm ended.
[00:50:54] As long as it was safe to go out and start clearing snow on the East coast.
[00:50:58] Out here,
[00:50:59] most times you can get away with it unless it's one of those insane storms.
[00:51:02] So there you go.
[00:51:03] That's the story of white one.
[00:51:05] I wasn't even planning on sharing that this evening,
[00:51:06] but yeah,
[00:51:07] there we go.
[00:51:08] All right.
[00:51:09] Next.
[00:51:09] And this one kind of blew my mind.
[00:51:12] And we're going to bring this up a little bit bigger here.
[00:51:14] If you followed me for any length of time,
[00:51:16] you know,
[00:51:17] I'm a big fan of three-way power,
[00:51:20] tri-fuel generators.
[00:51:21] Love them.
[00:51:21] But I'm also a huge fan of natural gas.
[00:51:27] Because I always like to say it's an infinite supply.
[00:51:30] Yes,
[00:51:31] I know it's not truly an infinite supply,
[00:51:33] but allows you to tap into a fuel source that is readily available,
[00:51:37] relatively cheap,
[00:51:39] plentiful.
[00:51:39] And unless you live in wildfire or,
[00:51:42] or earthquake regions,
[00:51:44] usually you're not going to have a problem.
[00:51:47] Well,
[00:51:48] this article tells me something that I didn't foresee before,
[00:51:50] and it's becoming an issue.
[00:51:52] So bear with me.
[00:51:53] Yet another reason to have the two is one,
[00:51:55] one is none,
[00:51:56] three is a guarantee.
[00:51:57] Or,
[00:51:58] you know,
[00:51:58] three ways to do something.
[00:51:59] Fuel,
[00:51:59] gasoline,
[00:52:00] propane,
[00:52:01] and natural gas.
[00:52:02] But here you go.
[00:52:02] This one was posted by Ron John Jr.
[00:52:06] What a name.
[00:52:07] Low pressure when whole house generators spike demand for natural gas.
[00:52:12] This has been mentioned before in our prepper.
[00:52:14] So I wanted to share this article.
[00:52:16] Here it is right here.
[00:52:17] State regulators opened an investigation on Wednesday
[00:52:20] into the impact of natural gas fed home generators on Louisiana utility systems
[00:52:25] after houses in Lefresge Parish suffered from low gas pressure
[00:52:30] during Hurricane Francine stymieing their backup power.
[00:52:34] So-called whole home generators have gained increasing popularity in Louisiana
[00:52:38] for a power backup as hurricanes have slammed the state in recent years
[00:52:42] and knocked out electricity for days or even weeks.
[00:52:44] But officials with the LPSC say they're worried that older and smaller gas systems
[00:52:50] may not be able to handle the burst of demand that increasing number of generators create
[00:52:55] when the power goes out.
[00:52:58] Whew!
[00:52:58] There you go.
[00:52:59] What do you think about that, guys?
[00:53:01] There's something I didn't necessarily,
[00:53:02] I should have foresaw,
[00:53:04] foreseen,
[00:53:04] foresaw,
[00:53:05] anyway.
[00:53:06] Should have been something that maybe I'd give some forethought to,
[00:53:08] but it's definitely going to go into my next generator video.
[00:53:12] And that is simply
[00:53:14] the huge increase of demand on natural gas
[00:53:18] when the power goes out.
[00:53:19] I didn't think about that.
[00:53:21] I should have.
[00:53:22] It's simple.
[00:53:23] But, you know,
[00:53:24] in this area,
[00:53:25] would it be a problem?
[00:53:26] I don't know very many people that have whole home backup generators
[00:53:29] that are tied into natural gas in this area.
[00:53:32] So I don't think it's going to be quite as widespread
[00:53:35] as it is in the southern areas
[00:53:36] where it is a,
[00:53:38] you know,
[00:53:38] life and or death scenario.
[00:53:41] But,
[00:53:41] yeah,
[00:53:42] crazy, hey?
[00:53:43] So just something else to think about.
[00:53:45] Another reason to prep multiple fuel sources.
[00:53:49] We are,
[00:53:50] I've been talking about it,
[00:53:51] but we've been looking at an acreage for a little while now.
[00:53:53] We're probably three quarters the way through the process.
[00:53:57] I'm not going to get my hopes up until it's finalized,
[00:53:59] but I'll share with you.
[00:54:00] But one of the things I want to do
[00:54:02] is an idea I heard from Jack Spirko a few years ago,
[00:54:04] and that's having an above ground fuel storage tank on hand.
[00:54:07] And it'll be run through the business.
[00:54:09] And it'll give me a couple hundred gallons of gasoline.
[00:54:13] I'm pretty excited about that.
[00:54:14] I have so many ideas,
[00:54:15] but again,
[00:54:16] until we find the acreage that we want,
[00:54:18] I can't,
[00:54:19] it's good to dream
[00:54:20] and it's good to think about things,
[00:54:21] but I'm not going to put the cart before the horse
[00:54:23] until it does or doesn't happen.
[00:54:25] So there you go.
[00:54:26] All right.
[00:54:27] Next is the Faraday cage.
[00:54:29] And that was one of the newer segments
[00:54:31] that started early in the summer.
[00:54:32] And that's where we take a look
[00:54:34] at some of the tech related stories of this week.
[00:54:37] And guess what?
[00:54:38] There was a couple of really good ones.
[00:54:39] This one was kind of cool.
[00:54:44] Amazon announces investment in small nuke reactors,
[00:54:47] really,
[00:54:48] to meet data center power demands.
[00:54:50] If that's not a 21st century news article headline,
[00:54:54] I don't think I've ever seen one.
[00:54:56] So I love nuclear power.
[00:54:59] I don't talk about it very often,
[00:55:00] but I truly think that,
[00:55:02] you know,
[00:55:03] other than solar,
[00:55:04] I think nuclear power could be
[00:55:05] one of the solutions for our power crisis
[00:55:08] that's going to come up at some point.
[00:55:11] Does it have its issues?
[00:55:12] Sure.
[00:55:12] But I actually think it's more inherently safe
[00:55:14] than just about any other
[00:55:16] power generation system out there.
[00:55:18] But again,
[00:55:20] it's something that they've created
[00:55:21] their own issues on.
[00:55:23] Amazon on Wednesday said
[00:55:24] it was investing in small nuclear reactors
[00:55:26] coming just two days
[00:55:28] after similar announcements by Google
[00:55:29] as both tech giants seek new sources
[00:55:31] of carbon-free electricity.
[00:55:35] I'll be honest,
[00:55:36] this isn't my concern per se.
[00:55:39] It doesn't mean that maybe it should be.
[00:55:41] I don't know,
[00:55:41] but that's not where I base my decisions on.
[00:55:44] If they want to, great.
[00:55:46] But I also love the idea
[00:55:47] that there's some investment
[00:55:49] going into the nuclear industry
[00:55:51] to module,
[00:55:52] modularize?
[00:55:53] Anyway,
[00:55:53] to make smaller modular reactors
[00:55:56] and hopefully they can start
[00:55:57] building them at scale
[00:55:58] and have, you know,
[00:55:59] every town could have a nuclear reactor.
[00:56:01] I don't know if that'll happen,
[00:56:02] but Simpsons reference.
[00:56:04] There you go.
[00:56:04] The plans come as the whole,
[00:56:06] the owner of the shuttered,
[00:56:07] this is crazy.
[00:56:08] I didn't hear this.
[00:56:09] You guys might like this.
[00:56:10] Owner of the shuttered
[00:56:11] Three Mile Island
[00:56:12] nuclear power plant
[00:56:13] said last month
[00:56:14] it plans to restart the reactor
[00:56:16] so tech giant Microsoft
[00:56:17] can buy the power
[00:56:18] to supply its data centers.
[00:56:21] Now,
[00:56:21] if anybody's wondering
[00:56:22] why these places
[00:56:23] are going balls to the wall
[00:56:25] on data centers
[00:56:27] and power consumption,
[00:56:28] two letters for you.
[00:56:30] Artificial intelligence.
[00:56:32] Just kidding.
[00:56:32] Two words.
[00:56:33] AI.
[00:56:34] There you go.
[00:56:34] And that's what it is.
[00:56:37] Truly,
[00:56:38] yeah,
[00:56:38] there's no way around it.
[00:56:39] That's what it is.
[00:56:40] And the article goes into it,
[00:56:42] but there's just this huge demand
[00:56:44] for cloud storage
[00:56:45] and artificial intelligence
[00:56:47] computing power.
[00:56:48] And so their data centers
[00:56:49] are going through the roof
[00:56:50] with power needs.
[00:56:51] So you have this
[00:56:54] mental dichotomy
[00:56:55] that these
[00:56:57] big
[00:56:58] tech giants
[00:56:59] are dealing with.
[00:57:00] It's,
[00:57:01] oh,
[00:57:01] we can't create
[00:57:02] dirty power.
[00:57:03] Oh,
[00:57:03] we need more power.
[00:57:05] It's like,
[00:57:05] you know,
[00:57:06] you got one guy
[00:57:06] in the back saying,
[00:57:07] whoa,
[00:57:08] whoa,
[00:57:08] slow down.
[00:57:08] And then you got the captain
[00:57:09] or,
[00:57:10] you know,
[00:57:10] Scotty,
[00:57:10] I can't give you
[00:57:11] any more power.
[00:57:12] And then the captain saying,
[00:57:12] I need more power.
[00:57:14] And yet,
[00:57:15] but this is the same company
[00:57:16] doing both.
[00:57:17] They're creating their own monster
[00:57:18] and then they're solving
[00:57:19] the problems.
[00:57:20] Quote,
[00:57:20] quote.
[00:57:21] So anyway,
[00:57:22] the International Energy
[00:57:24] Agency forecast
[00:57:25] that data centers
[00:57:26] total electricity
[00:57:27] consumption
[00:57:27] could reach
[00:57:28] more than
[00:57:29] 1,000 terawatt
[00:57:30] hours
[00:57:31] in 2026.
[00:57:33] Whew.
[00:57:34] Guess what?
[00:57:34] More than doubling
[00:57:35] from 2022.
[00:57:37] Estimates suggest
[00:57:38] that one terawatt
[00:57:39] hour
[00:57:39] can power
[00:57:40] 70,000
[00:57:41] homes
[00:57:42] for a year.
[00:57:43] So let's do that math,
[00:57:44] ladies and gentlemen.
[00:57:46] 700,000?
[00:57:48] 7 million?
[00:57:49] 70 million.
[00:57:51] That is
[00:57:52] 70.
[00:57:52] The data centers
[00:57:54] in the United States
[00:57:56] will use
[00:57:57] in 2026
[00:57:58] 70
[00:57:59] million
[00:58:03] terawatts.
[00:58:04] No,
[00:58:04] sorry.
[00:58:05] We'll use
[00:58:05] enough terawatts
[00:58:06] for 70 million
[00:58:07] homes.
[00:58:08] There can't be
[00:58:09] that many more
[00:58:09] than 70 million
[00:58:10] homes in the entire
[00:58:11] United States.
[00:58:13] Well,
[00:58:14] why don't we
[00:58:14] take a look
[00:58:15] and see what
[00:58:15] we can find out?
[00:58:16] How many
[00:58:17] homes
[00:58:18] in the
[00:58:19] USA?
[00:58:21] Okay,
[00:58:21] 145 million
[00:58:23] homes.
[00:58:23] There you go.
[00:58:24] So we have
[00:58:26] they're going
[00:58:26] to use
[00:58:27] half of the
[00:58:27] entire
[00:58:28] household
[00:58:29] electricity
[00:58:30] just for
[00:58:31] data processing.
[00:58:32] What a great
[00:58:33] time to be
[00:58:33] alive,
[00:58:33] folks.
[00:58:35] Rachel says
[00:58:36] thorium reactors
[00:58:37] safer and
[00:58:38] cleaner and
[00:58:39] no weapons
[00:58:40] needed.
[00:58:40] I'll have to
[00:58:41] look into that.
[00:58:42] I really don't
[00:58:42] know much
[00:58:43] about it.
[00:58:43] And the
[00:58:44] second story
[00:58:45] in the
[00:58:46] Faraday cage
[00:58:46] this week
[00:58:47] and I
[00:58:48] loved it.
[00:58:48] This is a
[00:58:49] personal thing
[00:58:50] that I've
[00:58:50] wanted to
[00:58:50] see Amazon
[00:58:51] do for
[00:58:51] years.
[00:58:52] I'd like
[00:58:53] to hear if
[00:58:53] anybody has
[00:58:54] any suggestions
[00:58:54] how this
[00:58:56] version could
[00:58:56] be better for
[00:58:57] preppers than
[00:58:57] the previous
[00:58:58] versions.
[00:58:59] But here
[00:59:00] it is.
[00:59:00] This one
[00:59:01] comes from
[00:59:01] the
[00:59:01] verge.
[00:59:02] Amazon
[00:59:03] finally has
[00:59:04] a color
[00:59:04] Kindle and
[00:59:05] it looks
[00:59:06] pretty good.
[00:59:07] Back when I
[00:59:08] used to be
[00:59:08] into comic
[00:59:09] books,
[00:59:09] I wanted
[00:59:10] an e-ink
[00:59:11] reader,
[00:59:11] an e-ink
[00:59:12] reader in
[00:59:13] color so
[00:59:14] that I
[00:59:14] could download
[00:59:15] comic books
[00:59:15] and read
[00:59:16] them easy
[00:59:17] on my
[00:59:17] eyes and
[00:59:19] basically
[00:59:19] with almost
[00:59:21] no battery
[00:59:22] consumption.
[00:59:23] I love
[00:59:23] e-ink.
[00:59:24] I still
[00:59:25] think it
[00:59:25] has a
[00:59:26] big place
[00:59:26] in the
[00:59:27] future.
[00:59:27] If you
[00:59:28] guys go
[00:59:28] to Home
[00:59:29] Depot or
[00:59:30] Lowe's
[00:59:30] recently and
[00:59:31] you look
[00:59:31] at a lot
[00:59:31] of their
[00:59:32] new bin
[00:59:32] tickets,
[00:59:33] if you're
[00:59:33] not sure
[00:59:33] what bin
[00:59:34] tickets are,
[00:59:34] they're the
[00:59:35] little price
[00:59:35] tags that
[00:59:36] clip into
[00:59:37] the shelves
[00:59:37] and that
[00:59:37] sort of
[00:59:38] thing.
[00:59:39] A lot
[00:59:39] of them
[00:59:39] have been
[00:59:40] moved to
[00:59:40] e-ink now
[00:59:42] that are
[00:59:42] updated via
[00:59:43] in-house
[00:59:44] Wi-Fi,
[00:59:44] that sort
[00:59:45] of thing.
[00:59:46] Now,
[00:59:46] of course,
[00:59:47] does it
[00:59:47] have its
[00:59:47] downside?
[00:59:48] Sure.
[00:59:48] I could
[00:59:49] see companies
[00:59:49] doing dynamic
[00:59:51] pricing.
[00:59:51] When you
[00:59:51] look at
[00:59:52] something and
[00:59:52] walk away,
[00:59:53] all of a
[00:59:53] sudden the
[00:59:53] price lowers.
[00:59:54] Or if they
[00:59:55] know what
[00:59:56] your median
[00:59:56] household income
[00:59:57] is,
[00:59:58] they might
[00:59:58] raise the
[00:59:59] price when
[00:59:59] you get
[00:59:59] there.
[01:00:00] I don't
[01:00:00] know,
[01:00:00] but either
[01:00:00] way,
[01:00:01] I do
[01:00:02] like e-ink.
[01:00:04] So here
[01:00:04] we are.
[01:00:05] Amazon finally
[01:00:05] has a color
[01:00:06] Kindle and
[01:00:07] it looks
[01:00:07] pretty good.
[01:00:08] Some of
[01:00:08] the things
[01:00:08] that would
[01:00:09] be really
[01:00:09] handy
[01:00:09] would be,
[01:00:12] well,
[01:00:12] okay,
[01:00:13] a couple
[01:00:13] things.
[01:00:13] I would
[01:00:14] say,
[01:00:14] number one,
[01:00:15] cookbooks
[01:00:15] would be
[01:00:15] great.
[01:00:16] Now,
[01:00:16] you don't
[01:00:17] necessarily
[01:00:17] need color
[01:00:18] for cookbooks,
[01:00:19] but it
[01:00:19] would certainly
[01:00:19] help.
[01:00:20] But you
[01:00:20] know what
[01:00:20] would really
[01:00:21] be awesome
[01:00:22] on this
[01:00:23] sort of
[01:00:23] thing?
[01:00:24] I would
[01:00:25] say something
[01:00:28] like Doc
[01:00:29] Bones and
[01:00:29] Nurse Amy's
[01:00:30] off-grid
[01:00:31] medical books,
[01:00:32] those sort of
[01:00:33] things.
[01:00:33] How awesome
[01:00:34] would that
[01:00:34] be to
[01:00:35] have one
[01:00:35] of those
[01:00:36] in a
[01:00:37] colored
[01:00:37] Kindle?
[01:00:37] Again,
[01:00:38] black and
[01:00:38] white would
[01:00:38] be fine.
[01:00:39] Color is
[01:00:40] going to be
[01:00:40] even better
[01:00:41] because it's
[01:00:41] going to be
[01:00:42] more realistic.
[01:00:42] You're
[01:00:42] going to be
[01:00:43] able to
[01:00:43] actually see
[01:00:43] things.
[01:00:45] So,
[01:00:45] I love
[01:00:46] it.
[01:00:46] I think
[01:00:46] there's a
[01:00:46] great idea.
[01:00:47] Now,
[01:00:47] I'd love
[01:00:48] to make
[01:00:48] a video
[01:00:48] about all
[01:00:49] the reasons
[01:00:50] why a
[01:00:50] colored
[01:00:50] Kindle is
[01:00:51] better than
[01:00:51] a black
[01:00:51] and white
[01:00:51] Kindle for
[01:00:52] preppers,
[01:00:52] but I haven't
[01:00:53] come up
[01:00:53] with enough
[01:00:53] reasons yet.
[01:00:54] So,
[01:00:55] anybody has
[01:00:55] any suggestions,
[01:00:56] send them
[01:00:56] my way.
[01:00:57] For years,
[01:00:58] Kindle
[01:00:59] users have
[01:00:59] asked Amazon
[01:01:00] to make a
[01:01:00] color version
[01:01:01] of its
[01:01:01] e-reader.
[01:01:02] Now,
[01:01:03] the company
[01:01:03] is finally
[01:01:03] delivering.
[01:01:04] It's launching
[01:01:05] the new
[01:01:05] Kindle
[01:01:06] Colorsoft
[01:01:06] Signature
[01:01:07] Edition,
[01:01:08] a device
[01:01:08] that has a
[01:01:14] cost $279.99
[01:01:15] and is
[01:01:16] available for
[01:01:16] preorder today
[01:01:17] and shipments
[01:01:18] starting October
[01:01:18] 30th.
[01:01:19] So,
[01:01:20] they're coming
[01:01:20] quick.
[01:01:21] Just like
[01:01:22] Amazon,
[01:01:22] they usually
[01:01:22] announce something
[01:01:23] and then they
[01:01:24] sell it almost
[01:01:24] immediately.
[01:01:25] And I don't
[01:01:26] think $279.99
[01:01:27] is that bad
[01:01:28] of a price
[01:01:29] point,
[01:01:29] to be honest.
[01:01:30] I want
[01:01:30] to say that
[01:01:31] when I
[01:01:31] bought my
[01:01:31] first
[01:01:32] Kindle
[01:01:32] way back
[01:01:34] when,
[01:01:35] 12 years
[01:01:35] ago,
[01:01:36] it must have
[01:01:37] been close
[01:01:37] to that.
[01:01:38] So,
[01:01:38] I don't
[01:01:39] know,
[01:01:40] making the
[01:01:40] Colorsoft
[01:01:41] happen,
[01:01:41] Amazon
[01:01:42] executive
[01:01:42] said at
[01:01:43] launch,
[01:01:44] required a
[01:01:44] lot more
[01:01:44] than just
[01:01:45] swapping
[01:01:45] in a new
[01:01:46] display.
[01:01:46] The technology
[01:01:47] just wasn't
[01:01:48] ready,
[01:01:48] even though
[01:01:49] their competitors
[01:01:49] had it.
[01:01:50] The one
[01:01:51] thing I'd
[01:01:51] heard for
[01:01:51] years was,
[01:01:52] if you
[01:01:53] want a
[01:01:53] colored
[01:01:54] e-ink
[01:01:55] screen,
[01:01:56] it just
[01:01:56] looks washed
[01:01:57] out.
[01:01:57] It almost
[01:01:58] looks black
[01:01:58] and white
[01:01:58] if any
[01:01:59] sun's on
[01:01:59] it at
[01:01:59] all.
[01:02:00] So,
[01:02:00] I'm
[01:02:00] excited.
[01:02:01] I've
[01:02:01] looked at
[01:02:01] some
[01:02:02] video,
[01:02:02] some
[01:02:02] footage.
[01:02:03] Maybe
[01:02:03] nobody
[01:02:03] else is
[01:02:04] excited,
[01:02:04] but I
[01:02:04] think it's
[01:02:12] I think
[01:02:13] you might
[01:02:13] have
[01:02:14] said,
[01:02:14] did I
[01:02:14] get
[01:02:15] blocked
[01:02:15] from
[01:02:15] commenting
[01:02:15] about
[01:02:16] the
[01:02:16] whales
[01:02:16] being
[01:02:16] radioactive?
[01:02:19] You
[01:02:19] may
[01:02:19] have.
[01:02:20] I
[01:02:20] don't
[01:02:20] know.
[01:02:21] There
[01:02:22] was a
[01:02:22] guy
[01:02:22] that I
[01:02:23] knew
[01:02:24] back
[01:02:24] in the
[01:02:24] day.
[01:02:25] We
[01:02:25] nicknamed
[01:02:25] him
[01:02:26] Nuke.
[01:02:26] He
[01:02:26] used to
[01:02:26] hang
[01:02:26] out at
[01:02:27] the
[01:02:27] same
[01:02:27] used
[01:02:28] music
[01:02:28] shop
[01:02:28] that I
[01:02:29] hung
[01:02:29] out
[01:02:29] in high
[01:02:29] school.
[01:02:30] He
[01:02:38] had a
[01:02:38] YouTube's
[01:02:38] auto
[01:02:39] moderating
[01:02:39] system
[01:02:39] took
[01:02:40] care
[01:02:40] of
[01:02:40] it.
[01:02:42] All
[01:02:42] right.
[01:02:44] L2
[01:02:44] Survive
[01:02:44] said,
[01:02:45] did they
[01:02:45] really
[01:02:46] need
[01:02:46] that
[01:02:46] much
[01:02:46] power
[01:02:46] to
[01:02:47] data
[01:02:47] breach
[01:02:47] my
[01:02:47] info
[01:02:48] to
[01:02:48] hackers?
[01:02:49] Well,
[01:02:49] I
[01:02:49] think
[01:02:49] so.
[01:02:50] Yeah.
[01:02:51] Yeah.
[01:02:52] So,
[01:02:52] Chris
[01:02:52] Dixon,
[01:02:53] you know,
[01:02:53] this is
[01:02:53] what brought
[01:02:54] this up
[01:02:54] the other
[01:02:55] day when
[01:02:56] I was
[01:02:56] thinking
[01:02:56] about
[01:02:56] this
[01:02:57] whole
[01:02:57] system.
[01:02:58] Chris
[01:02:58] Dixon
[01:02:58] says,
[01:02:59] did you
[01:02:59] see the
[01:02:59] flashing
[01:02:59] tags when
[01:03:00] you
[01:03:00] search
[01:03:00] online?
[01:03:01] Canadian
[01:03:01] Tire
[01:03:02] uses them?
[01:03:02] It's
[01:03:02] neat,
[01:03:08] this
[01:03:08] shit
[01:03:08] is
[01:03:09] sold
[01:03:09] to
[01:03:09] us
[01:03:09] on
[01:03:09] convenience.
[01:03:10] I don't
[01:03:11] know,
[01:03:11] I'm sure
[01:03:11] they have
[01:03:12] them at
[01:03:12] some
[01:03:12] stores
[01:03:12] in the
[01:03:12] US,
[01:03:13] but
[01:03:13] Canadian
[01:03:13] Tire
[01:03:14] uses
[01:03:14] this
[01:03:14] system.
[01:03:15] I
[01:03:15] bring
[01:03:16] up
[01:03:16] their
[01:03:16] app,
[01:03:17] I
[01:03:17] look
[01:03:17] up
[01:03:17] an
[01:03:18] item
[01:03:18] online,
[01:03:19] and
[01:03:20] then I
[01:03:21] can
[01:03:21] say,
[01:03:21] I
[01:03:22] don't
[01:03:22] ping
[01:03:22] it
[01:03:22] in
[01:03:23] store
[01:03:23] or
[01:03:23] whatever,
[01:03:24] and
[01:03:24] there'll
[01:03:25] be
[01:03:25] tags,
[01:03:26] the
[01:03:26] bin
[01:03:26] tags,
[01:03:26] that
[01:03:26] again,
[01:03:27] are
[01:03:28] flash
[01:03:35] and
[01:03:36] some
[01:03:36] so
[01:03:37] long.
[01:03:37] I
[01:03:37] know
[01:03:37] they
[01:03:37] put
[01:03:38] some
[01:03:38] safeguards
[01:03:38] in
[01:03:38] there,
[01:03:39] but
[01:03:39] again,
[01:03:39] it's
[01:03:39] like
[01:03:39] whack-a-mole
[01:03:40] when you're
[01:03:40] trying to
[01:03:41] plug
[01:03:41] security
[01:03:41] holes,
[01:03:42] right?
[01:03:43] Cool.
[01:03:44] You know,
[01:03:44] I think
[01:03:45] all technology
[01:03:46] is amoral.
[01:03:47] It can be
[01:03:47] used for
[01:03:48] good or
[01:03:48] bad,
[01:03:48] and this
[01:03:49] will
[01:03:49] definitely
[01:03:49] be used
[01:03:49] for
[01:03:50] both.
[01:03:50] I'll
[01:03:51] take
[01:03:51] advantage
[01:03:51] of it
[01:03:51] for the
[01:03:52] time
[01:03:52] being,
[01:03:52] and
[01:03:52] there
[01:03:53] we
[01:03:53] go.
[01:03:53] All
[01:03:54] right.
[01:03:55] Sliding
[01:03:55] into,
[01:03:56] actually,
[01:03:57] we've
[01:03:57] got a
[01:03:57] new
[01:03:57] segment
[01:03:57] here
[01:03:58] this
[01:03:58] week,
[01:03:58] guys,
[01:03:58] and we're
[01:03:59] going to
[01:03:59] go to,
[01:04:01] here it
[01:04:01] is.
[01:04:01] So this
[01:04:02] is something
[01:04:02] that I
[01:04:03] have done
[01:04:04] at
[01:04:05] at least
[01:04:06] the last
[01:04:06] three
[01:04:07] self-reliance
[01:04:08] festivals
[01:04:08] where I
[01:04:09] was
[01:04:10] co-MC
[01:04:11] for the
[01:04:11] first couple
[01:04:12] of this
[01:04:12] last one.
[01:04:12] I took
[01:04:13] a break
[01:04:13] from it,
[01:04:13] but I
[01:04:13] still
[01:04:14] got roped
[01:04:14] in,
[01:04:15] and I
[01:04:15] don't
[01:04:15] mind
[01:04:15] that
[01:04:15] at all.
[01:04:16] My
[01:04:16] good
[01:04:16] buddy
[01:04:17] Bobby
[01:04:17] Spaggs
[01:04:17] introduced
[01:04:18] me to
[01:04:18] this
[01:04:18] game.
[01:04:18] He
[01:04:19] actually
[01:04:19] sent
[01:04:19] me
[01:04:19] some
[01:04:19] packages
[01:04:20] from
[01:04:21] the
[01:04:21] guy
[01:04:21] who
[01:04:21] created
[01:04:22] it,
[01:04:22] and
[01:04:22] it
[01:04:29] is
[01:04:30] going to
[01:04:44] throw
[01:04:47] things
[01:04:47] up
[01:04:48] as I
[01:04:49] go
[01:04:49] into
[01:04:50] the
[01:04:50] next
[01:04:50] segment,
[01:04:51] feel
[01:04:51] free
[01:04:51] and
[01:04:51] we'll
[01:04:52] come
[01:04:52] back
[01:04:52] to
[01:04:52] it
[01:04:52] after
[01:04:53] I
[01:04:53] read
[01:04:53] this
[01:04:53] week
[01:04:54] in
[01:04:54] the
[01:04:54] workshop.
[01:04:55] Here
[01:04:55] it
[01:04:55] is.
[01:04:56] Scenario
[01:04:56] number
[01:04:57] 20.
[01:04:58] Have
[01:04:59] you
[01:04:59] taken
[01:05:00] steps
[01:05:00] to
[01:05:01] secure
[01:05:01] your
[01:05:01] home
[01:05:02] against
[01:05:02] potential
[01:05:03] break-ins
[01:05:03] or
[01:05:05] burglaries?
[01:05:06] So this
[01:05:06] is emergency
[01:05:07] preparedness
[01:05:07] basics.
[01:05:08] Are
[01:05:08] you
[01:05:08] ready
[01:05:09] for
[01:05:09] world
[01:05:11] without
[01:05:11] rule
[01:05:12] of
[01:05:12] law?
[01:05:13] Read
[01:05:13] it
[01:05:13] one
[01:05:13] more
[01:05:14] time.
[01:05:14] Have
[01:05:14] you
[01:05:14] taken
[01:05:14] steps
[01:05:15] to
[01:05:15] secure
[01:05:15] your
[01:05:15] home
[01:05:16] against
[01:05:16] potential
[01:05:16] break-ins
[01:05:17] or
[01:05:17] burglaries?
[01:05:18] Feel
[01:05:18] free
[01:05:19] to
[01:05:19] throw
[01:05:19] something
[01:05:19] up
[01:05:20] in
[01:05:20] the
[01:05:20] comments
[01:05:20] as
[01:05:21] we
[01:05:21] go
[01:05:21] by.
[01:05:21] If
[01:05:21] you
[01:05:21] want,
[01:05:22] this
[01:05:22] is
[01:05:22] going
[01:05:22] to
[01:05:22] be
[01:05:22] something
[01:05:22] we'll
[01:05:23] do
[01:05:23] at least
[01:05:23] monthly.
[01:05:23] If you
[01:05:23] enjoy it,
[01:05:24] maybe we'll
[01:05:24] do it
[01:05:25] weekly.
[01:05:26] So
[01:05:27] next
[01:05:28] is
[01:05:28] one of
[01:05:29] my
[01:05:29] favorites.
[01:05:30] And this
[01:05:30] is
[01:05:30] this week
[01:05:31] in the
[01:05:31] workshop.
[01:05:32] And this
[01:05:32] is where
[01:05:32] I guess
[01:05:33] I take
[01:05:33] a look
[01:05:33] at the
[01:05:34] shit
[01:05:34] that I
[01:05:34] managed
[01:05:34] to get
[01:05:34] done
[01:05:35] this
[01:05:35] week.
[01:05:35] just
[01:05:36] kind
[01:05:36] of
[01:05:36] fill
[01:05:36] you
[01:05:36] in
[01:05:36] on
[01:05:37] what's
[01:05:37] going
[01:05:37] on
[01:05:37] with
[01:05:37] us.
[01:05:38] And
[01:05:39] the
[01:05:40] reason
[01:05:40] for
[01:05:40] that
[01:05:40] is
[01:05:41] twofold.
[01:05:41] Inspiration
[01:05:42] and
[01:05:42] accountability.
[01:05:43] First,
[01:05:44] hopefully I
[01:05:44] can inspire
[01:05:45] some other
[01:05:45] folks to
[01:05:45] try some
[01:05:46] things maybe
[01:05:46] you're
[01:05:46] not
[01:05:46] comfortable
[01:05:47] doing.
[01:05:48] And
[01:05:48] number
[01:05:48] two,
[01:05:50] it
[01:05:50] allows
[01:05:50] me
[01:05:50] to
[01:05:51] not
[01:05:51] sit
[01:05:51] on
[01:05:51] my
[01:05:51] ass,
[01:05:52] come
[01:05:52] back
[01:05:52] here
[01:05:52] and
[01:05:52] lie
[01:05:53] through
[01:05:53] my
[01:05:53] teeth.
[01:05:53] I
[01:06:05] it
[01:06:05] to
[01:06:05] him.
[01:06:05] Well,
[01:06:06] to
[01:06:06] be
[01:06:06] absolutely
[01:06:07] honest,
[01:06:07] we
[01:06:07] could
[01:06:07] have
[01:06:07] snow
[01:06:08] here
[01:06:08] any
[01:06:08] moment.
[01:06:09] I
[01:06:09] hope
[01:06:09] we
[01:06:09] don't,
[01:06:10] but
[01:06:10] we
[01:06:10] literally
[01:06:10] could.
[01:06:12] So,
[01:06:12] I got
[01:06:12] some
[01:06:12] last-minute
[01:06:13] trim
[01:06:14] done
[01:06:15] at
[01:06:15] the
[01:06:15] 12
[01:06:15] unit.
[01:06:16] I
[01:06:17] picked
[01:06:17] up
[01:06:17] some
[01:06:17] new
[01:06:17] safety
[01:06:18] glasses.
[01:06:19] If
[01:06:19] you
[01:06:19] haven't
[01:06:20] seen
[01:06:20] it,
[01:06:20] I
[01:06:20] posted
[01:06:20] a
[01:06:20] picture
[01:06:21] on
[01:06:21] Instagram.
[01:06:21] They
[01:06:22] have
[01:06:22] a
[01:06:33] wire
[01:06:34] you
[01:06:34] have
[01:06:34] to
[01:06:36] put
[01:06:36] safety
[01:06:36] glasses
[01:06:37] on.
[01:06:37] You
[01:06:37] start
[01:06:38] sweating
[01:06:38] and
[01:06:38] they
[01:06:39] get
[01:06:39] fogged
[01:06:39] up
[01:06:39] and
[01:06:39] you
[01:06:40] take
[01:06:40] them
[01:06:40] off
[01:06:40] and
[01:06:40] you
[01:06:40] might
[01:06:40] as
[01:06:40] well
[01:06:40] have
[01:06:41] nothing.
[01:06:41] Well,
[01:06:42] these
[01:06:42] have
[01:06:42] a
[01:06:42] fine
[01:06:43] wire
[01:06:43] mesh
[01:06:43] on
[01:06:43] them
[01:06:43] that
[01:06:44] will
[01:06:44] keep
[01:06:45] out
[01:06:45] 90%
[01:06:46] of
[01:06:46] debris.
[01:06:46] Is
[01:06:47] it
[01:06:47] perfect?
[01:06:47] No.
[01:06:48] Is
[01:06:48] it
[01:06:48] better
[01:06:48] than
[01:06:48] no
[01:06:48] safety
[01:06:49] glasses?
[01:06:49] Hell
[01:06:49] yeah.
[01:06:50] So,
[01:06:50] check
[01:06:50] them
[01:06:50] out.
[01:06:51] I
[01:06:51] opened
[01:06:51] up
[01:06:52] my
[01:06:52] latest
[01:06:52] battle
[01:06:52] box.
[01:06:53] You'll
[01:06:53] see
[01:06:53] that
[01:06:53] video
[01:06:54] in
[01:06:54] a
[01:06:54] couple
[01:06:54] of
[01:06:54] weeks
[01:06:54] probably
[01:06:55] but
[01:06:55] it
[01:06:55] was
[01:06:55] a
[01:06:55] lot
[01:06:55] of
[01:06:55] fun.
[01:06:56] And
[01:06:56] I
[01:06:57] also
[01:06:57] subscribed
[01:06:58] to
[01:06:58] a
[01:06:58] new
[01:06:58] one
[01:06:59] from
[01:06:59] Canada
[01:06:59] called
[01:07:00] Gear
[01:07:00] Pack.
[01:07:01] And
[01:07:02] I
[01:07:02] figured
[01:07:02] I
[01:07:02] would
[01:07:02] do
[01:07:02] it
[01:07:03] so
[01:07:03] nobody
[01:07:03] else
[01:07:03] had
[01:07:03] to.
[01:07:04] The
[01:07:04] reviews
[01:07:04] weren't
[01:07:04] great
[01:07:05] on
[01:07:05] it
[01:07:05] but
[01:07:06] I
[01:07:07] gotta
[01:07:07] say
[01:07:07] for
[01:07:07] the
[01:07:07] price
[01:07:08] I
[01:07:08] paid
[01:07:08] and
[01:07:08] the
[01:07:08] fact
[01:07:09] that
[01:07:09] it's
[01:07:09] a
[01:07:09] Canadian
[01:07:09] company
[01:07:11] I
[01:07:11] was
[01:07:11] mildly
[01:07:12] surprised.
[01:07:12] So
[01:07:13] you'll
[01:07:13] see a
[01:07:13] video
[01:07:23] me
[01:07:24] and
[01:07:24] the
[01:07:24] girls
[01:07:24] had
[01:07:25] decided
[01:07:25] we
[01:07:25] were
[01:07:25] going
[01:07:26] to
[01:07:26] just
[01:07:26] have
[01:07:26] nachos
[01:07:27] and
[01:07:27] we
[01:07:27] did
[01:07:27] we
[01:07:27] had
[01:07:27] that
[01:07:28] the
[01:07:28] next
[01:07:28] night
[01:07:28] but
[01:07:29] my
[01:07:30] daughter
[01:07:30] Olivia
[01:07:30] and
[01:07:31] her
[01:07:31] husband
[01:07:32] my
[01:07:32] son
[01:07:32] in-law
[01:07:33] Curtis
[01:07:33] made
[01:07:34] us
[01:07:53] without
[01:07:55] any
[01:07:55] help
[01:07:56] from
[01:07:56] any
[01:07:56] of
[01:07:56] us
[01:07:56] I
[01:07:57] was
[01:07:57] very
[01:07:57] proud
[01:07:58] papa
[01:07:58] and
[01:07:59] she
[01:07:59] paid
[01:07:59] attention
[01:08:00] me
[01:08:00] and
[01:08:00] the
[01:08:00] girl
[01:08:01] Charlotte
[01:08:01] and
[01:08:01] Alice
[01:08:01] we
[01:08:02] had
[01:08:02] a
[01:08:02] lot
[01:08:02] of
[01:08:04] movie
[01:08:05] nights
[01:08:05] while
[01:08:05] Becky's
[01:08:05] been
[01:08:06] gone
[01:08:06] we've
[01:08:06] had
[01:08:06] a hell
[01:08:06] of
[01:08:06] time
[01:08:07] watched
[01:08:07] some
[01:08:07] Hitchcock
[01:08:08] movies
[01:08:09] we
[01:08:09] watched
[01:08:10] The
[01:08:11] Fall
[01:08:11] Guy
[01:08:11] and
[01:08:12] a
[01:08:13] couple
[01:08:13] of
[01:08:13] nights
[01:08:13] ago
[01:08:14] Monday
[01:08:14] night
[01:08:14] we
[01:08:14] had
[01:08:15] our
[01:08:15] Thanksgiving
[01:08:15] dinner
[01:08:16] we
[01:08:25] and
[01:08:25] I
[01:08:25] was
[01:08:25] pretty
[01:08:26] stoked
[01:08:26] about
[01:08:26] it
[01:08:26] because
[01:08:26] that's
[01:08:27] a
[01:08:27] movie
[01:08:27] that
[01:08:27] kind
[01:08:28] of
[01:08:28] changed
[01:08:28] my
[01:08:29] life
[01:08:30] and
[01:08:30] I
[01:08:31] was
[01:08:31] really
[01:08:31] impressed
[01:08:31] that
[01:08:32] my
[01:08:32] daughters
[01:08:33] enjoyed
[01:08:34] it
[01:08:34] as
[01:08:34] much
[01:08:34] as
[01:08:34] they
[01:08:34] did
[01:08:35] it's
[01:08:35] a
[01:08:35] two
[01:08:35] and
[01:08:35] half
[01:08:35] hour
[01:08:36] movie
[01:08:36] that
[01:08:36] isn't
[01:08:37] full
[01:08:37] of
[01:08:37] action
[01:08:37] is
[01:08:38] told
[01:08:38] out
[01:08:38] of
[01:08:38] sequence
[01:08:39] and
[01:08:40] has
[01:08:41] a
[01:08:41] bit
[01:08:41] of
[01:08:41] graphic
[01:08:41] violence
[01:08:41] in
[01:08:42] it
[01:08:42] and
[01:08:42] they
[01:08:42] loved
[01:08:43] it
[01:08:43] so
[01:08:43] I'm
[01:08:44] glad
[01:08:44] anyway
[01:08:44] it
[01:08:53] not
[01:08:54] very
[01:08:54] expensive
[01:08:54] worked
[01:08:55] great
[01:08:55] I
[01:08:56] also
[01:08:56] released
[01:08:57] my
[01:08:58] interview
[01:08:58] with
[01:08:58] Bear
[01:08:59] TJ
[01:09:00] from
[01:09:00] Bear
[01:09:01] Independent
[01:09:01] and
[01:09:02] wow
[01:09:03] did
[01:09:03] that
[01:09:03] video
[01:09:03] blow
[01:09:04] up
[01:09:04] guys
[01:09:04] I
[01:09:05] put
[01:09:05] it
[01:09:06] out
[01:09:06] on
[01:09:06] Sunday
[01:09:06] night
[01:09:07] and
[01:09:07] as
[01:09:07] of
[01:09:07] tonight
[01:09:08] over
[01:09:09] 10,000
[01:09:10] views
[01:09:10] over
[01:09:10] 200
[01:09:11] subscribers
[01:09:12] it
[01:09:23] of
[01:09:24] this
[01:09:24] channel
[01:09:24] and
[01:09:25] that
[01:09:25] will
[01:09:25] be
[01:09:25] January
[01:09:26] 24
[01:09:26] of
[01:09:26] 2025
[01:09:27] we
[01:09:28] have
[01:09:28] about
[01:09:28] 97
[01:09:29] days
[01:09:29] to
[01:09:29] do
[01:09:29] it
[01:09:29] and
[01:09:30] we're
[01:09:30] going
[01:09:30] to
[01:09:30] get
[01:09:30] there
[01:09:31] the
[01:09:31] electrician
[01:09:32] finished
[01:09:33] the
[01:09:33] wire
[01:09:33] rerouting
[01:09:34] upstairs
[01:09:35] at the
[01:09:35] daycare
[01:09:36] which
[01:09:36] means
[01:09:36] Curtis
[01:09:37] and I
[01:09:37] were
[01:09:37] able
[01:09:38] to
[01:09:38] pull
[01:09:38] down
[01:09:38] the
[01:09:38] last
[01:09:39] of
[01:09:39] the
[01:09:39] stud
[01:09:39] partitions
[01:09:40] we're
[01:09:40] able
[01:09:41] to
[01:09:41] pull
[01:09:41] up
[01:09:41] the
[01:09:41] carpet
[01:09:41] we
[01:09:42] need
[01:09:42] to
[01:09:42] we
[01:09:42] are
[01:09:43] 100%
[01:09:44] done
[01:09:45] with
[01:09:45] the
[01:09:45] demolition
[01:09:45] I
[01:09:46] am
[01:09:46] so
[01:09:46] freaking
[01:09:47] stoked
[01:09:47] it's
[01:09:47] not
[01:09:47] even
[01:09:47] funny
[01:09:48] and
[01:09:49] we
[01:09:49] are
[01:09:49] ready
[01:09:50] on
[01:09:50] Tuesday
[01:09:50] to
[01:09:51] start
[01:09:51] putting
[01:09:51] shit
[01:09:51] back
[01:09:52] together
[01:09:53] we're
[01:09:53] shooting
[01:09:54] to
[01:09:54] be
[01:09:54] I
[01:09:54] think
[01:09:54] a
[01:09:55] realistic
[01:09:55] goal
[01:09:55] is
[01:09:55] to
[01:09:56] have
[01:09:56] the
[01:09:57] upstairs
[01:09:57] ready
[01:09:59] to
[01:09:59] open
[01:09:59] and
[01:10:00] take
[01:10:00] kids
[01:10:00] for
[01:10:00] March
[01:10:01] because
[01:10:01] I
[01:10:01] know
[01:10:01] how
[01:10:01] slow
[01:10:01] the
[01:10:02] government
[01:10:02] works
[01:10:02] but
[01:10:03] I
[01:10:03] think
[01:10:04] realistically
[01:10:04] we
[01:10:05] can
[01:10:05] have
[01:10:05] the
[01:10:05] reno's
[01:10:05] done
[01:10:06] by
[01:10:06] December
[01:10:06] so
[01:10:07] here
[01:10:07] we
[01:10:08] are
[01:10:08] fingers
[01:10:08] crossed
[01:10:08] we're
[01:10:09] ready
[01:10:09] to
[01:10:09] keep
[01:10:09] going
[01:10:12] and
[01:10:12] Becky
[01:10:13] gets
[01:10:13] home
[01:10:13] Saturday
[01:10:13] afternoon
[01:10:14] that's
[01:10:14] probably
[01:10:15] the
[01:10:15] highlight
[01:10:15] of my
[01:10:15] week
[01:10:15] I
[01:10:16] can't
[01:10:16] wait
[01:10:16] to
[01:10:16] see
[01:10:16] her
[01:10:16] you
[01:10:17] know
[01:10:17] it's
[01:10:17] only
[01:10:17] been
[01:10:17] 12
[01:10:18] days
[01:10:18] but
[01:10:19] she's
[01:10:19] had
[01:10:19] a
[01:10:19] rough
[01:10:19] time
[01:10:19] she's
[01:10:20] had
[01:10:20] a
[01:10:20] good
[01:10:20] time
[01:10:20] but
[01:10:21] she's
[01:10:21] had
[01:10:21] a
[01:10:21] rough
[01:10:21] time
[01:10:21] you
[01:10:22] guys
[01:10:22] heard
[01:10:22] about
[01:10:22] it
[01:10:43] against
[01:10:43] potential
[01:10:43] break-ins
[01:10:44] or
[01:10:44] burglaries
[01:10:45] without
[01:10:46] rule
[01:10:46] of
[01:10:46] law
[01:10:47] Haas
[01:10:48] says
[01:10:48] yep
[01:10:48] a
[01:10:48] defense
[01:10:49] dog
[01:10:49] and
[01:10:50] we
[01:10:50] do
[01:10:50] have
[01:10:50] one
[01:10:51] of
[01:10:51] those
[01:10:51] coming
[01:10:51] before
[01:10:52] too
[01:10:52] long
[01:10:52] if
[01:10:53] we
[01:10:53] well
[01:10:53] we
[01:10:53] are
[01:10:53] getting
[01:10:54] her
[01:10:54] but
[01:10:54] that's
[01:10:55] part
[01:10:55] of
[01:10:55] the
[01:10:55] reason
[01:10:56] we've
[01:10:56] been
[01:10:56] looking
[01:10:56] for
[01:10:56] an
[01:10:56] acreage
[01:10:57] Dixon
[01:10:57] says
[01:10:58] it's
[01:10:58] not
[01:10:58] enough
[01:10:58] to
[01:10:59] secure
[01:10:59] the
[01:10:59] home
[01:10:59] security
[01:10:59] has
[01:11:00] to
[01:11:00] start
[01:11:00] at
[01:11:00] the
[01:11:00] fence
[01:11:01] dog
[01:11:01] go
[01:11:01] for
[01:11:01] the
[01:11:01] win
[01:11:01] amen
[01:11:02] love
[01:11:02] it
[01:11:03] Pippen
[01:11:15] says
[01:11:16] do
[01:11:17] you
[01:11:17] have
[01:11:17] a
[01:11:17] room
[01:11:17] with
[01:11:18] a
[01:11:18] clay
[01:11:18] more
[01:11:18] always
[01:11:19] love
[01:11:19] it
[01:11:19] Rachel
[01:11:20] C
[01:11:20] says
[01:11:21] my
[01:11:21] entire
[01:11:21] life
[01:11:22] is
[01:11:22] locked
[01:11:22] is
[01:11:23] in
[01:11:23] locked
[01:11:23] shipping
[01:11:24] containers
[01:11:24] on
[01:11:24] our
[01:11:24] raw
[01:11:25] land
[01:11:25] so
[01:11:25] close
[01:11:25] gate
[01:11:26] barbed
[01:11:26] wire
[01:11:26] fence
[01:11:26] big
[01:11:27] dog
[01:11:27] and
[01:11:28] stay
[01:11:28] strapped
[01:11:29] lol
[01:11:29] RV
[01:11:30] door
[01:11:30] is
[01:11:46] the
[01:11:46] judgment
[01:11:47] day
[01:11:47] the
[01:11:47] end
[01:11:47] of
[01:11:48] the
[01:11:48] world
[01:11:49] my
[01:11:49] friend
[01:11:49] let's
[01:11:50] dig
[01:11:50] into
[01:11:51] the
[01:11:51] community
[01:11:51] mailbag
[01:11:55] here we
[01:11:56] go
[01:11:56] folks
[01:11:56] this is
[01:11:57] the
[01:11:57] community
[01:11:57] mailbag
[01:11:58] where we
[01:11:59] take a
[01:11:59] look
[01:11:59] into
[01:12:00] the
[01:12:00] bag
[01:12:01] that
[01:12:01] holds
[01:12:01] the
[01:12:01] nails
[01:12:01] and
[01:12:02] see
[01:12:02] what
[01:12:02] kind
[01:12:02] of
[01:12:03] feedback
[01:12:03] I
[01:12:18] and
[01:12:19] there's
[01:12:19] just
[01:12:19] a
[01:12:19] ton
[01:12:20] of
[01:12:20] new
[01:12:20] faces
[01:12:20] in
[01:12:21] I'm
[01:12:21] excited
[01:12:21] I
[01:12:21] hope
[01:12:22] that
[01:12:22] we
[01:12:23] can
[01:12:23] all
[01:12:23] you
[01:12:24] know
[01:12:24] welcome
[01:12:24] a few
[01:12:24] new
[01:12:25] folks
[01:12:25] and
[01:12:25] at
[01:12:26] least
[01:12:27] share
[01:12:27] a little
[01:12:27] bit
[01:12:28] about
[01:12:28] prepping
[01:12:28] with
[01:12:28] everybody
[01:12:29] this
[01:12:29] one
[01:12:29] come
[01:12:30] from
[01:12:30] Joe
[01:12:30] Rizzo
[01:12:30] 53
[01:12:31] and
[01:12:31] he
[01:12:31] said
[01:12:31] while
[01:12:32] I
[01:12:32] was
[01:12:32] remodeling
[01:12:32] my
[01:12:33] home
[01:12:33] near
[01:12:33] Tampa
[01:12:34] two
[01:12:48] all
[01:12:49] indoor
[01:12:49] outdoor
[01:12:49] lighting
[01:12:50] it's
[01:12:50] fueled
[01:12:50] by
[01:12:50] a
[01:12:50] 250
[01:12:51] gallon
[01:12:51] in
[01:12:52] ground
[01:12:52] propane
[01:12:53] tank
[01:12:53] there's
[01:12:54] about
[01:12:54] a
[01:12:54] five
[01:12:54] day
[01:12:54] supply
[01:12:55] of
[01:12:55] propane
[01:12:55] if
[01:12:56] you
[01:12:56] run
[01:12:56] it
[01:12:56] 24
[01:12:56] 7
[01:12:57] our
[01:12:58] power
[01:12:58] was
[01:12:58] out
[01:12:58] for
[01:12:58] four
[01:12:59] days
[01:12:59] from
[01:12:59] hurricane
[01:13:00] Milton
[01:13:00] I
[01:13:00] ran
[01:13:01] the
[01:13:01] Jenny
[01:13:01] 12
[01:13:01] hours
[01:13:02] a
[01:13:02] day
[01:13:02] to
[01:13:02] double
[01:13:02] my
[01:13:03] fuel
[01:13:03] range
[01:13:03] the
[01:13:04] cost
[01:13:04] to
[01:13:04] purchase
[01:13:04] and install
[01:13:05] the
[01:13:05] generator
[01:13:05] wow
[01:13:06] not
[01:13:06] as bad
[01:13:07] as
[01:13:07] I
[01:13:18] where
[01:13:19] every
[01:13:19] home
[01:13:19] had
[01:13:19] a
[01:13:19] backup
[01:13:20] power
[01:13:20] generating
[01:13:21] system
[01:13:21] now
[01:13:22] I
[01:13:22] don't
[01:13:22] want
[01:13:22] it
[01:13:22] legislated
[01:13:23] I
[01:13:23] don't
[01:13:23] think
[01:13:23] there's
[01:13:24] any
[01:13:24] reason
[01:13:24] that
[01:13:24] that
[01:13:25] should
[01:13:25] happen
[01:13:25] because
[01:13:26] the
[01:13:26] government
[01:13:26] always
[01:13:27] finds
[01:13:27] ways
[01:13:27] to
[01:13:28] fuck
[01:13:28] things
[01:13:28] up
[01:13:28] royally
[01:13:29] and
[01:13:29] in
[01:13:29] this
[01:13:30] instance
[01:13:30] they
[01:13:30] would
[01:13:31] but
[01:13:31] I
[01:13:32] think
[01:13:32] it's
[01:13:32] great
[01:13:32] advice
[01:13:32] that
[01:13:33] if
[01:13:33] someone's
[01:13:33] building
[01:13:33] a
[01:13:34] new
[01:13:34] home
[01:13:34] especially
[01:13:34] have
[01:13:35] a
[01:13:35] backup
[01:13:35] power
[01:13:36] system
[01:13:36] of
[01:13:36] some
[01:13:37] sort
[01:13:37] or
[01:13:37] another
[01:13:37] next
[01:13:38] comes
[01:13:39] from
[01:13:39] Ed
[01:13:39] Celio
[01:13:39] and
[01:13:40] if
[01:13:40] Rebecca
[01:13:41] is
[01:13:41] still
[01:13:41] in
[01:13:41] here
[01:13:41] I
[01:13:42] think
[01:13:42] she'll
[01:13:42] like
[01:13:42] this
[01:13:42] comment
[01:13:42] quite
[01:13:43] a
[01:13:43] bit
[01:13:43] Ed
[01:13:44] Celio
[01:13:44] says
[01:13:45] number
[01:13:45] one
[01:13:45] love
[01:13:46] this
[01:13:46] conversation
[01:13:46] bear
[01:13:47] provides
[01:13:47] trustworthy
[01:13:48] grounded
[01:13:49] truth
[01:13:50] a rare
[01:13:50] commodity
[01:13:51] in these
[01:13:51] days
[01:13:51] amen
[01:13:52] to
[01:13:52] that
[01:13:52] and
[01:13:53] number
[01:13:54] two
[01:13:54] Tim
[01:13:55] way
[01:13:55] to go
[01:13:56] with
[01:13:56] the
[01:13:56] stepped
[01:13:56] up
[01:13:56] bumper
[01:13:57] videos
[01:13:57] love
[01:13:57] that
[01:13:58] you
[01:13:58] use
[01:13:58] digital
[01:13:58] technology
[01:13:59] to
[01:13:59] showcase
[01:14:00] some
[01:14:00] of
[01:14:00] the
[01:14:00] best
[01:14:01] analog
[01:14:01] technology
[01:14:02] thank
[01:14:03] you
[01:14:03] love
[01:14:03] it
[01:14:04] but
[01:14:05] that
[01:14:05] has
[01:14:06] mostly
[01:14:06] to
[01:14:06] do
[01:14:06] with
[01:14:06] Rebecca
[01:14:07] I
[01:14:07] might
[01:14:08] have
[01:14:08] had
[01:14:08] a
[01:14:08] few
[01:14:08] ideas
[01:14:08] but
[01:14:09] she
[01:14:09] put
[01:14:09] it
[01:14:09] all
[01:14:09] together
[01:14:09] and
[01:14:10] thank
[01:14:10] you
[01:14:10] very
[01:14:10] much
[01:14:11] she's
[01:14:11] great
[01:14:12] at
[01:14:12] it
[01:14:12] and
[01:14:12] I
[01:14:13] love
[01:14:13] getting
[01:14:14] compliments
[01:14:14] on
[01:14:14] that
[01:14:14] stuff
[01:14:15] because
[01:14:15] yeah
[01:14:15] I'm
[01:14:16] passionate
[01:14:16] about
[01:14:16] those
[01:14:17] little
[01:14:17] bumper
[01:14:17] transitions
[01:14:18] next
[01:14:19] comes
[01:14:19] from
[01:14:19] gearhead
[01:14:21] 366
[01:14:22] the number
[01:14:22] one
[01:14:22] reason
[01:14:23] I went
[01:14:23] with an
[01:14:24] inverter
[01:14:24] generator
[01:14:24] is fuel
[01:14:25] economy
[01:14:26] in a
[01:14:26] power
[01:14:26] outage
[01:14:27] gas
[01:14:27] will
[01:14:27] be
[01:14:28] hard
[01:14:28] to
[01:14:28] get
[01:14:28] five
[01:14:29] gallons
[01:14:29] will
[01:14:29] run
[01:14:29] my
[01:14:30] inverter
[01:14:30] generator
[01:14:30] much
[01:14:31] longer
[01:14:31] than
[01:14:32] a
[01:14:32] non
[01:14:32] inverter
[01:14:33] type
[01:14:33] I'll
[01:14:34] likely
[01:14:34] get
[01:14:34] several
[01:14:35] days
[01:14:35] of
[01:14:35] use
[01:14:36] out
[01:14:36] of
[01:14:36] five
[01:14:36] gallons
[01:14:37] instead
[01:14:37] of
[01:14:37] being
[01:14:37] out
[01:14:38] after
[01:14:38] one
[01:14:38] day
[01:14:38] just
[01:14:39] a
[01:14:39] practical
[01:14:40] everyday
[01:14:40] piece
[01:14:42] of
[01:14:42] tip
[01:14:42] for
[01:14:43] anybody
[01:14:44] out
[01:15:02] tis
[01:15:02] the
[01:15:02] spooky
[01:15:03] season
[01:15:03] as
[01:15:03] everybody
[01:15:03] is
[01:15:04] calling
[01:15:04] it
[01:15:04] this
[01:15:04] year
[01:15:04] I
[01:15:04] never
[01:15:05] heard
[01:15:05] it
[01:15:05] I
[01:15:06] don't
[01:15:06] know
[01:15:06] everybody
[01:15:07] says
[01:15:07] it's
[01:15:07] spooky
[01:15:08] season
[01:15:08] but
[01:15:08] I
[01:15:08] like
[01:15:09] Halloween
[01:15:09] it's
[01:15:09] going
[01:15:10] to be
[01:15:10] Halloween
[01:15:10] coming
[01:15:11] up
[01:15:11] soon
[01:15:12] and
[01:15:12] you
[01:15:12] know
[01:15:13] that
[01:15:13] we
[01:15:13] always
[01:15:13] like
[01:15:13] to
[01:15:13] channel
[01:15:14] our
[01:15:14] inner
[01:15:14] art
[01:15:15] bell
[01:15:15] ghost
[01:15:15] here
[01:15:16] if
[01:15:16] we
[01:15:16] can
[01:15:16] so
[01:15:17] look
[01:15:17] out
[01:15:17] for
[01:15:18] the
[01:15:18] second
[01:15:18] annual
[01:15:18] ghoul
[01:15:19] man
[01:15:19] Tim's
[01:15:20] workshop
[01:15:20] of
[01:15:20] horrors
[01:15:21] we
[01:15:21] did
[01:15:22] it
[01:15:22] last
[01:15:22] year
[01:15:22] and
[01:15:22] so
[01:15:23] what
[01:15:23] I'm
[01:15:23] looking
[01:15:23] for
[01:15:23] you
[01:15:24] guys
[01:15:24] is
[01:15:24] if
[01:15:24] anybody
[01:15:24] has
[01:15:25] any
[01:15:27] extraterrestrial
[01:15:27] paranormal
[01:15:29] unexplained
[01:15:29] ghost
[01:15:30] whatever
[01:15:31] if you
[01:15:31] have a
[01:15:31] weird
[01:15:32] story
[01:15:32] that
[01:15:32] you
[01:15:32] want
[01:15:32] to
[01:15:32] share
[01:15:33] let
[01:15:33] me
[01:15:33] know
[01:15:34] I'll
[01:15:34] get
[01:15:34] it
[01:15:34] from
[01:15:34] you
[01:15:35] you
[01:15:35] can
[01:15:35] email
[01:15:35] it
[01:15:35] to
[01:15:35] me
[01:15:36] at
[01:15:36] the
[01:15:36] telegram
[01:15:38] group
[01:15:39] PM
[01:15:39] me
[01:15:40] whatever
[01:15:40] but
[01:15:40] I'll
[01:15:41] have
[01:15:41] a lot
[01:15:41] of
[01:15:41] good
[01:15:41] stuff
[01:15:42] we
[01:15:42] did
[01:15:42] it
[01:15:43] I
[01:15:44] miss
[01:15:45] Art Bell
[01:15:45] as
[01:15:45] well
[01:15:45] I
[01:15:46] never
[01:15:46] found
[01:15:47] him
[01:15:47] until
[01:15:47] he
[01:15:47] passed
[01:15:48] away
[01:15:49] or
[01:15:49] pretty
[01:15:49] close
[01:15:49] to
[01:15:50] that
[01:15:50] time
[01:15:50] so
[01:15:52] much
[01:15:52] so
[01:15:52] if
[01:15:53] you
[01:15:53] didn't
[01:15:53] catch
[01:15:53] last
[01:15:53] week's
[01:15:54] episode
[01:15:55] one
[01:15:55] of
[01:15:55] my
[01:15:55] best
[01:15:56] friends
[01:15:56] in
[01:15:56] the
[01:15:56] world
[01:15:56] Brian
[01:15:56] Alexovich
[01:15:57] when
[01:15:57] we
[01:15:57] pulled
[01:15:58] into
[01:15:58] delinquents
[01:15:59] gully
[01:15:59] this
[01:15:59] last
[01:16:00] time
[01:16:00] ended
[01:16:01] up
[01:16:01] having
[01:16:01] a
[01:16:02] recording
[01:16:03] of
[01:16:03] Art
[01:16:03] Bell
[01:16:04] and
[01:16:04] the
[01:16:04] Mel's
[01:16:05] Hole
[01:16:05] episode
[01:16:05] playing
[01:16:06] at
[01:16:07] our
[01:16:07] composting
[01:16:08] toilet
[01:16:09] so
[01:16:10] adequately
[01:16:11] nicknamed
[01:16:11] Mel's
[01:16:12] Hole
[01:16:12] and
[01:16:13] it
[01:16:13] meant
[01:16:13] the
[01:16:13] world
[01:16:13] to
[01:16:13] me
[01:16:14] to
[01:16:14] hear
[01:16:14] Art
[01:16:14] Bell's
[01:16:15] voice
[01:16:15] coming
[01:16:15] up
[01:16:15] there
[01:16:15] but
[01:16:16] anyhow
[01:16:16] so
[01:16:16] we're
[01:16:17] going
[01:16:17] to
[01:16:17] be
[01:16:17] doing
[01:16:17] that
[01:16:17] episode
[01:16:17] this
[01:16:18] year
[01:16:19] also
[01:16:19] Becky
[01:16:20] and I
[01:16:20] have
[01:16:20] decided
[01:16:21] on
[01:16:21] the
[01:16:21] Halloween
[01:16:21] show
[01:16:21] we're
[01:16:22] going
[01:16:22] to
[01:16:22] do
[01:16:23] this
[01:16:23] year
[01:16:23] we're
[01:16:23] going
[01:16:24] to
[01:16:24] do
[01:16:25] a
[01:16:25] live
[01:16:26] don't
[01:16:26] know
[01:16:26] what
[01:16:26] night
[01:16:26] it's
[01:16:27] going
[01:16:27] to
[01:16:27] be
[01:16:27] yet
[01:16:27] but
[01:16:27] we're
[01:16:28] going
[01:16:28] to
[01:16:28] pick
[01:16:28] our
[01:16:28] top
[01:16:29] 10
[01:16:29] Stephen
[01:16:29] King
[01:16:29] films
[01:16:30] I
[01:16:41] he
[01:16:42] is
[01:16:42] in
[01:16:42] the
[01:16:42] telegram
[01:16:43] group
[01:16:43] he
[01:16:43] was
[01:16:43] also
[01:16:44] at
[01:16:44] the
[01:16:44] delinquent
[01:16:46] he's
[01:16:47] also
[01:16:47] a
[01:16:47] filmmaker
[01:16:48] a
[01:16:49] thespian
[01:16:49] yeah
[01:16:50] I
[01:16:50] said
[01:16:50] that
[01:16:50] anyway
[01:16:51] all
[01:16:51] kinds
[01:16:51] of
[01:16:51] cool
[01:16:51] things
[01:16:52] but
[01:16:52] he
[01:16:53] was
[01:16:53] on
[01:16:53] last
[01:16:53] year
[01:16:53] his
[01:16:54] show
[01:16:54] is
[01:16:54] a
[01:16:54] great
[01:16:54] hit
[01:16:55] we're
[01:16:56] going
[01:16:56] to
[01:16:56] do
[01:16:56] a
[01:16:56] Halloween
[01:16:56] themed
[01:16:57] episode
[01:16:57] with
[01:16:57] him
[01:16:58] as
[01:16:58] well
[01:16:58] so
[01:16:59] I'm
[01:16:59] pretty
[01:16:59] stoked
[01:17:00] about
[01:17:00] that
[01:17:01] and
[01:17:02] this
[01:17:03] Sunday
[01:17:03] evening
[01:17:03] I
[01:17:04] have
[01:17:04] Ryan
[01:17:04] Buford
[01:17:05] better
[01:17:05] known
[01:17:05] as
[01:17:06] Prepper
[01:17:06] Dad
[01:17:06] the
[01:17:07] host
[01:17:08] of
[01:17:08] the
[01:17:08] former
[01:17:09] podcast
[01:17:09] the
[01:17:09] next
[01:17:10] generation
[01:17:10] show
[01:17:10] he's
[01:17:11] going
[01:17:12] to
[01:17:12] share
[01:17:13] his
[01:17:13] thoughts
[01:17:14] and
[01:17:14] experiences
[01:17:15] he
[01:17:16] landed
[01:17:16] at
[01:17:16] Prepper
[01:17:17] Camp
[01:17:17] Wednesday
[01:17:18] or
[01:17:18] Thursday
[01:17:18] before
[01:17:19] the
[01:17:19] hurricane
[01:17:19] came
[01:17:19] through
[01:17:20] and
[01:17:20] he
[01:17:20] was
[01:17:21] there
[01:17:21] for
[01:17:21] the
[01:17:21] duration
[01:17:21] of
[01:17:22] it
[01:17:22] not
[01:17:23] many
[01:17:23] people
[01:17:23] showed
[01:17:23] up
[01:17:23] but
[01:17:24] he
[01:17:24] was
[01:17:24] one
[01:17:24] of
[01:17:24] the
[01:17:24] ones
[01:17:24] that
[01:17:25] had
[01:17:25] to
[01:17:25] prep
[01:17:25] and
[01:17:26] survive
[01:17:26] through
[01:17:27] that
[01:17:27] event
[01:17:27] he's
[01:17:28] going
[01:17:28] to
[01:17:28] come
[01:17:28] on
[01:17:28] and
[01:17:28] share
[01:17:29] the
[01:17:29] good
[01:17:29] the
[01:17:29] bad
[01:17:29] and
[01:17:29] ugly
[01:17:30] from
[01:17:30] it
[01:17:30] so
[01:17:30] I'm
[01:17:31] stoked
[01:17:31] about
[01:17:31] that
[01:17:32] and
[01:17:33] I
[01:17:34] have
[01:17:34] nailed
[01:17:34] down
[01:17:35] a
[01:17:35] day
[01:17:35] and
[01:17:36] time
[01:17:37] but
[01:17:37] John
[01:17:38] Willis
[01:17:38] and
[01:17:38] I
[01:17:38] are
[01:17:39] going
[01:17:39] to
[01:17:39] be
[01:17:39] doing
[01:17:39] a
[01:17:40] monthly
[01:17:40] live
[01:17:41] it's
[01:17:41] going
[01:17:41] to
[01:17:42] be
[01:17:42] I
[01:17:58] central
[01:17:59] time
[01:17:59] so
[01:17:59] 9am
[01:18:00] mountain
[01:18:00] time
[01:18:01] so
[01:18:01] we're
[01:18:01] going
[01:18:01] to
[01:18:01] be
[01:18:01] doing
[01:18:01] one
[01:18:01] and
[01:18:02] it'll
[01:18:02] be
[01:18:02] I
[01:18:03] don't
[01:18:03] even
[01:18:04] know
[01:18:04] exactly
[01:18:04] what
[01:18:04] all
[01:18:04] we're
[01:18:05] going
[01:18:05] to
[01:18:05] be
[01:18:05] talking
[01:18:05] about
[01:18:05] but
[01:18:06] John
[01:18:06] and
[01:18:07] I
[01:18:07] have
[01:18:07] committed
[01:18:07] to
[01:18:07] doing
[01:18:07] once
[01:18:08] a
[01:18:08] month
[01:18:08] together
[01:18:09] we
[01:18:09] always
[01:18:09] have
[01:18:09] a
[01:18:09] hell
[01:18:10] of
[01:18:10] a
[01:18:10] time
[01:18:10] chatting
[01:18:11] together
[01:18:11] and
[01:18:12] he
[01:18:28] he
[01:18:28] has
[01:18:28] given
[01:18:29] Becky
[01:18:29] and
[01:18:29] I
[01:18:29] so
[01:18:29] much
[01:18:30] good
[01:18:30] advice
[01:18:30] and
[01:18:30] I
[01:18:30] was
[01:18:31] pretty
[01:18:31] stoked
[01:18:31] that
[01:18:31] he
[01:18:31] wanted
[01:18:31] to
[01:18:32] do
[01:18:32] this
[01:18:32] going
[01:18:32] forward
[01:18:32] so
[01:18:33] anyway
[01:18:33] keep
[01:18:34] an
[01:18:34] eye
[01:18:34] out
[01:18:34] for
[01:18:34] that
[01:18:36] shameless
[01:18:36] plug
[01:18:36] but
[01:18:37] here
[01:18:37] you
[01:18:37] go
[01:18:37] wearing
[01:18:38] one
[01:18:38] of
[01:18:38] his
[01:18:38] shirts
[01:18:38] tonight
[01:18:38] a
[01:18:39] little
[01:18:39] less
[01:18:39] a
[01:18:39] lot
[01:18:40] less
[01:18:40] 1984
[01:18:40] and
[01:18:41] a
[01:18:41] whole
[01:18:41] hell
[01:18:41] of
[01:18:41] a lot
[01:18:42] more
[01:18:43] 1776
[01:18:43] so
[01:18:45] guys
[01:18:45] I
[01:18:46] hope
[01:18:46] Pippen
[01:18:47] says
[01:18:47] finally
[01:18:48] another
[01:18:48] morning
[01:18:48] show
[01:18:50] yeah
[01:18:51] it's
[01:18:57] only
[01:19:26] John
[01:19:28] a
[01:19:28] little
[01:19:28] too
[01:19:28] much
[01:19:29] it
[01:19:29] wasn't
[01:19:29] a
[01:19:29] reflection
[01:19:30] of
[01:19:30] the
[01:19:30] show
[01:19:30] quality
[01:19:30] it
[01:19:31] was
[01:19:31] a
[01:19:31] reflection
[01:19:31] of
[01:19:31] me
[01:19:31] spending
[01:19:32] too
[01:19:32] long
[01:19:33] in
[01:19:33] the
[01:19:33] office
[01:19:33] for
[01:19:33] no
[01:19:58] so
[01:19:59] folks
[01:20:00] it's
[01:20:00] great
[01:20:01] to
[01:20:01] see
[01:20:01] you
[01:20:01] once
[01:20:01] again
[01:20:02] I'm
[01:20:02] glad
[01:20:03] you
[01:20:03] were
[01:20:03] back
[01:20:03] I
[01:20:03] think
[01:20:04] we
[01:20:04] topped
[01:20:04] out
[01:20:04] at
[01:20:04] 30
[01:20:05] live
[01:20:05] viewers
[01:20:05] and
[01:20:06] this
[01:20:06] was
[01:20:06] only
[01:20:07] on
[01:20:07] YouTube
[01:20:07] so
[01:20:08] once
[01:20:09] again
[01:20:09] great
[01:20:09] to
[01:20:10] see
[01:20:10] you
[01:20:10] and
[01:20:10] as
[01:20:11] always
[01:20:11] stay
[01:20:12] happy
[01:20:12] stay
[01:20:13] healthy
[01:20:14] and have
[01:20:14] a
[01:20:14] great
[01:20:15] week
