[00:00:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Hello everyone out there in Internet, Radio Land. This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy and this tip is going to be kind of out of the ordinary

[00:00:18] [SPEAKER_00]: but it is a good prepper tip just the same. Do you have something to keep young minds occupied? Do you have something that does not require electricity

[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_00]: to keep people busy, busy, busy, busy, busy. Get board games on hand. Listen if you have to shelter in place or spend the long period of time in the house and there is no electricity. How are you going to keep those young minds occupied while you're taking care of business?

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Board games. Go around yard sales, things like that. Make sure you check all the pieces sometimes on clearance at Walmart but you need to have on hand some board games.

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Clue risk monopoly. Games that young people can play and not think about what you're doing and they can play all by themselves.

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Set them up, get them started. It's like a snowball rolling down the hill that we started this a long time ago and for a while the kids will look forward to the power going off because they knew that's when we were going to break the board games out and play.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Now they're a little older and well but family time may even make a game night. Do a game night to get them used to it, train them so that they know what monopoly is and how to play it or risk or any one of the games that take while even sorry.

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, sorry where you tried. It's kind of like a short version of Chinese checkers. You should have them on hand. Take them out every once in a while. Have a game night with the family and prep on.
