[00:00:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Baby, and the lead is starting!

[00:00:05] [SPEAKER_00]: The Repper Diff for the day.

[00:00:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Hello everyone, I'm out there in Internet Radio Land.

[00:00:13] [SPEAKER_00]: This is Dave Jones, NBC guy coming to you live from the office.

[00:00:18] [SPEAKER_00]: You're that squeaky chair.

[00:00:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Listen, today's tip is on water.

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_00]: So you need to secure your water.

[00:00:29] [SPEAKER_00]: You need to be able to collect it, treat it, filter it, distill it.

[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_00]: You need to have at least two sources of water.

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Primary and alternate.

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_00]: My contingency is my rain barrels.

[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_00]: And my emergency water is the water that I have in storage.

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_00]: So that's what we have here at the Jones Homestead.

[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_00]: You can easily do a rain catchment with food grade 55 gallon drums.

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_00]: And then you put a spout collection on it.

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_00]: They're like 18 bucks at Home Depot.

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a thing that you put in your rain spout and it goes in.

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And then they also have a valve with a hose connection

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_00]: that you can put in the bottom of the barrel.

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_00]: So you need to have a way to have water because you can't make water.

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_00]: You have to have it to be able to filter it and treat it.

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Or distill it.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: You have a distiller.

[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_00]: They're pretty inexpensive.

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Around 100 bucks you can get a small one.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: That way if you get any kind of water, you can distill it and make it pure.

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_00]: So you need to secure your water system.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_00]: That is my proper tip of the day.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Primary alternate contingency emergency.

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Take care and prep on.
